Astarion story idea in the vein of knowing Tav in their past-life:

What if someone else came to his rescue the night the Gur attacked him? Making Cazador miss his opportunity and have to try again. What if it’s elven Tav, maybe a cleric to the elven goddess, saves him and tries to help him uncover why he was targeted and why Cazador is hunting him now. In the process they fall in love, plan to sort things out and live happily ever after. But just as they start to unravel the plot, Cazador ambushes them and Tav is slain, Astarion captured and turned. This is why Astarion loses his faith in the gods, because they didn’t save him or Tav. 200yrs later they meet on the beach, Tav again, in a new incarnation. Both their memories are awakened and they fall in love again, vowing to finish what they started all those years before. And this time they win.

Venus and The Harvest Goddess both got in with 2 submissions each! Arceus got in with a total of 9 submissions!

Sadly, The Star Princessess did not make it. But not to worry! Cure Felice did make it with 3 submissions, so yes there is one Precure representative!

Hera is one of the most famous examples of the Goddess in reality as opposed to 20th Century anachronistic wishful thinking:

Hera, Goddess of Marriage and Queen of the Gods is one of the most well-acknowledged cases of how mythology frames even the sacred feminine in a light that doesn't age well and frankly came in for no little criticism at the time. And not just from Jews or Christians. Hera was, all the same, one of the most important Goddesses and worshiped as such.

In myth She is most famous for not punishing Zeus for His infidelities, which was and is a very cosmic 'not gonna happen' but instead targeting the women and the offspring of those he tomcatted around with. As such She often appears as an antagonist and this, among other things, *really* should be a part of interrogating why so many people in the 20th Century decided the idea of a Goddess somehow prevented or deconstructed misogyny. There are no cultures in the world where this is true. The Graeco-Roman myths are more well known but that's simply an artifact of historical preservation. And along with that preservation is plenty of testaments to the misogyny of the Greeks and Romans and the ways they viewed the world.

Does he dabble in shimmer in your AU? (Maybe recreationally as a coping mechanism or just to prove to Silco that he can be 'more' than just a bottom feeder goon by becoming Singed's Lab rat?)

I'm torn between feeling sorry for Deckard in the verse because of that sucky position of being jealous of Silco's kids because they are getting special treatment and knowing that he actually ends up better off than he does in canon (ie not used as a guineapig for an experimental hulk-drug and everything that happened after that). Like yes it sucks but also he has a lot more options in his life than he did in canon.

I think he does at least dabble in shimmer. But only starts getting involved either just before/right after it's starting to be sold (so once its basically ""finished""). He's possibly even involved in the operation to introduce it out. But you have to remember in this verse Shimmer is a bit less dangerous than it is in the canon. There's still probably an addictive version of it and that's what Deckards using but because there's a bit more of a focus on its medicinal uses than it's hulk-monster creating uses from the very beginning (because they're more playing the long game) even the addictive-drug version of it is that bit more stable than the canon one.
