So, jumping off my last ask, now that they’ve reintroduced the Safeword, especially in a non-sexual setting, I wonder how the topic of touch would be broached again. Clearly Kant is placing an immense amount of trust in Bison by using his Safeword, regardless of whether or not he was regarding him as a Dom in this case. In that sense, I wonder how Bison might go about reaffirming that he understands how monumental that trust is? While I don’t think it will be explored with such nuances, if it’s even touched upon, in the show itself, but I think it’s definitely fascinating to consider the possibilities! (My hands are itching to write something)

In an alternative universe (outside the bounds of the show), I would love to see Kant and Bison explore a non-sexual/lifestyle arrangement. It would be fascinating to see them play out such roles (B/S) outside of the bedroom, in more mundane ways and situations. Whereas I feel they might lean more into the S/M side of things during sexual encounters. Thoughts? 👀

i've already made three separate posts (bonus shorter one, so technically four total) talking about the safe word usage in that scene, so as you can tell it's been making me insane sjdfhsdkjf (though in my defense one of them was prompted by an anon!)

but it's like. when they first introduced the safe word, i don't think kant ever had any intention of using it. like he didn't even seem all that interested in picking one at first, and that's because he knew that using it wasn't actually an option - that part of the reason he was doing it all (outside of actual enjoyment and interest because there was some!) was because he needed bison to trust him. and not only that, but at that time he didn't trust bison, so i don't think kant even realistically knew for sure that if he even used it, that bison would listen. and i think any questions he had about that were sort of proven when bison was drunk/drugged and told kant he hoped he didn't say penguin. (which like! not bison's fault, he was drunk and drugged and didn't know what he was doing - but it likely left very little trust in that regard for kant on a subconscious level)

but a lot has changed since then. and it says so much that even in a nonsexual situation, where bison was not doing this in anyway for their mutual pleasure, kant felt confident enough that if he told bison stop, if he used their safe word, that bison would listen to him. it says so much about how much kant does trust bison, even when he's aiming a gun at him.

like you said, i don't think them exploring that dynamic in such detail is gonna fit into the show time wise (though i do still expect at least one more actual bdsm scene!), but i imagine it is definitely something they'll have to work at slowly. kant clearly trusts bison completely, but they've also still been through a lot, and with their first attempt at the dynamic went, it would make sense for them to sort of back up, reassess, and then go forward. and i think we do already sort of know how bison would handle that, if the scene in the tattoo parlor is anything to go by. even then, he was very careful with kant and checking in constantly, and now after everything, i'm sure it will be much the same - since while i'm sure he'll be more sure now about how willing kant is, he obviously still wants to take care of kant, yknow?

i could definitely see a more lifestyle d/s (i'm assuming you meant d/s and not b/s?) arrangement between them lmao. they're definitely the types, if how much fun kant was having with the whole situation on the island is anything to go by lmao. and i'm sure bison would have enjoyed it too were not for the agony and whatnot. i'm sure their life post-everything getting solved and them (presumably) moving back to the island will look exactly like that, with all the s/m sex they desire skjhfdskf
