i’m trying to think of funny things to say but.. i wish you would write a fic where they’re doing a murder mystery podcast? crowley’s wearing a purple dress (pls for me 🥺 👉🏻👈🏻)? they’re being the cutest beans falling in love with each other while working at a coffee shop oh wait you’re already writing that (thank god) 💜😌

Crowley can absolutely wear a purple dress (and look amazing in it of course!) but I am actually TERRIFIED of murder mysteries! Yes, even though I was trying to get you to listen to The Magnus Archives haha! There is just something about it being real life stuff that makes it more scary than paranormal things!

So, here is my alternative suggestion! Ghost hunters podcast with both of them being awkward beans already halfway through falling in love. And Crowley being the biggest scaredy cat ever but trying to act all tough and protect Aziraphale. And maybe he falls and hurts himself while they are breaking into an abandoned house and Aziraphale has to carry him out (do you see my ✨vision✨???). And of course he is fussing so much that he completely misses the actual ghosts that are right in front of them! And Crowley decides to keep quiet because if he tells him maybe Aziraphale'll want to come back (he won't, he is never going in there again. He SAW those things, thank you very much).

And then they start a different podcast and get married and live happily ever after (with lots of purple dresses and cafe shops!)

I'll think about the Roman Empire everyday starts to now.

Gladiator AU :

Aziraphale is the new emperor. He usually receives a lot of gifts from his subjects and other friendly territories. But one day, he has an unexpected present.

Crowley was born on the wrong territory. At the wrong time. When he was a child, his village was destroyed by Gabriel's army. And he became a slave. But after a decade, Gabriel sold him to Beelzebub, a rich duke.

Beelzebub found potencial and value on Crowley and decided to train him to become a gladiator. Thanks to that, Crowley learned to use weapons and quickly became a fierce warrior.

But, a war is coming against the Empire.

To avoid an imminent conflict and save time to be ready for the war, Beelzebub made a gift to the Emperor : the gladiator Crowley.

Aziraphale didn't expected at all to receive a human being as a gift from the ennemy (well, the Empire has a plenty of slaves but the emperor didn't really get attention).

And what a human...

I will let you imagine the rest of the story dear friends~ (and feel free to write about it if you want to)

Does Crowley stay at the bookshop all night?

I'm just putting it out there that I don't think this is talked about enough:

This might not have been filmed, but it's right there in the scriptbook. Crowley leaves Aziraphale's bookshop right before Gabriel and Sandalphon arrive. I'm sure it's implied they are visiting fairly early on Thursday morning, since it's the first scene labelled as Thursday and later on Aziraphale and Crowley have time to drive all the way to Oxford and mess about there. So what? Well the scene before this is Aziraphale and Crowley drinking in the bookshop after Warlock's birthday party on the Wednesday. It must be fairly late in the day by this point because the hell hound was supposed to arrive at 3pm and this scene is happening sometime later. So Aziraphale and Crowley are in the bookshop drinking presumably into the evening on Wednesday whilst Crowley goes on about how he knows what Aziraphale smells like and they both think that the world is about to end in a matter of days. Then the next morning Crowley is noted as leaving the bookshop and has clearly been in there for enough time that Sandalphon can still smell his presence. Are we supposed to buy into the idea that he leaves late Wednesday night, comes back for an unspecified reason really early on Thursday, leaves again when the angels turn up and then comes back later for the trip to Oxford? Well, I'm not buying it. So what were they doing in the bookshop all night? (And also Aziraphale takes the angels into his back room to buy "pornography" - the back room where he was with Crowley not that long before - and frankly Aziraphale loves feeling like he's got one over on the Archangels, especially Gabriel, so yeah, there's that too.) ...just saying.

Through the Middle Ages, marriage didn't require an officiant or witnesses. A couple could be married just by making a pledge to one another.

I think if Crowley and Aziraphale ever got married, this is how they would do it. It has always been just the two of them. Who else should be there, but each other? They've lived through enough changing customs that it wouldn't matter too much to them that it's no longer legally binding. They're not doing it for civil recognition. They just want to pledge themselves to each other and formalise the commitment that already exists in the way that feels right to them.

I don't actually have strong feelings about the idea of them getting married in the future. I do think that since angels and demons presumably don't have a concept of marriage, this would be another way of showing their alignment with Earth, which makes me feel very soft. Marrying in a human tradition, I think, would be as much about pledging themselves to humanity as each other.

Sometimes, though, I think about how romantic it would be if they'd been secretly married for centuries. It would still be after the practice of marrying by word alone had passed, I think, and that's still how they would do it. Just the two of them, in a stolen moment of truth and passion, making vows they know they can't keep. They can't promise each other forever. They can't promise unbroken days of peace and laughter and honesty, or putting each other above all else. They can't even promise to stay until morning. They promise it anyway, all of it, and forgive each other their inevitable broken vows.

They still go years at a time without seeing each other. They fight and leave and come back, like they always have done. They still have to cloak everything in six layers of double meaning. None of that changes. But underneath all of it is the knowledge of what they are to each other, and the one vow they'll never break: for as long as I am, I'm yours.

And for whatever it's worth, when the sun does rise on their wedding night, they're still there, wrapped up in each other's arms. For every vow they break, there's another they keep. If it's their choice, they'll always stay until morning.

Okay but what if they figured out the baby-swap went wrong like a couple of days later so they go knocking on doors around Tadfield trying to find him and when they do they move in next door posing as an old - not legally, yet - married couple fake dating trope yay that just so happens to be very free and very willing to babysit every time Deirdre asks and Adam loves them because they're weird and Crowley especially because he lets him act out but he also talks to him about stars and constellations telling him the myths about them all and also Aziraphale tells him the greatest bed time stories and then when the Apocalypse doesn't happen they end up moving properly to Tadfield, have a little wedding in their back yard with Adam as the ring bearer and they have family dinners because they're technically his godparents at this point and so they get to watch him grow up and conquer the world but not in a supernatural way just in a "I'm passionate and brilliant and can do anything" way and they finally get their cottage but not in South Downs but in Tadfield instead, what then?

Aziraphale has the softest hips. Hips to grab. Hips for miles, connected to thighs that are plump and muscular. Crowley wants to bite them, which is why he always seems slightly distracted in the angel's company.
