HELLO I DON'T KNOW WHO YOU ARE BUT I LOVE YOU

I've been hoarding this ask for ages because I've been unable to choose a bird, but I learnt about diamond doves yesterday and now I simply must talk about them!!

Geopelia cuneata are small Australian pigeons that like to live near water in semiarid areas and have SUCH cool eyes like what are those ring things around them?? They're so bright!

I understood diamond doves' name the moment I saw a picture of the species because the wings look just like someone hot glued a ton of those tiny plastic crafts diamonds on them

Some other cuties I got to see this migration season include this (I THINK) Tennessee Warbler.

IIRC this same species stumped me last year. 🤔 Maybe it's even the exact same bird? LOL

This cute Northern Parula showed up at the same time! And I also got to watch a Blackburnian Warbler (female or juvenile male) enjoying the fountain:

Elrond trying to woo Gil-galad but Elrond was raised with just about every culture *but* Falathrim Sindar, so Elrond is rotating through Northern Sindar, Taur-im-Duinath Nandor, Valinorian Noldor, Belegost Dwarven, and various Edain customs trying to find courtship customs close enough to Gil-galad's that he'll recognize them.

Gil-galad is…not entirely sure what his herald is up to.

Sometimes I am really tempted to talk about "acceptable" animals the way people talk about "objectionable" ones.

Gosh! Does it suck to hear someone talk shit about an animal you care about? Really?? Do you feel upset when they casually talk about killing some little animal just for unwittingly being somewhere that it would have no reason to understand it is unwanted in?? Oh geeze, are you crying because someone doesn't even try to understand why this animal matters to you?

Hii it's me, the anon who wants to eat your writings as desserts!

I've been thinking about something, specifically about Fragile!Reader. (Sorry if the bad English is bad)

During Dottore and Nahida's meeting, I like to imagine Nahida take a look inside Dottore's mind when he erased his segment. At first, she expected to see the horror and the unsettling mind of a mad doctor, a mind with nothing but ambition and insanity. How surprised she was when she saw you occupying most of the doctor's mind. How surprised Nahida would be to see that Dottore is capable of loving someone, especially someone so fragile as you are.

She probably commented on something about you and your relationship with the doctor to which the doctor almost instantly tried to change the topic with a lingering threat.

After everything that she saw, I wonder if Nahida would remember and keep the story about the Mad Doctor and his fragile beloved as a fairy tale. In my opinion, she would. And if she does, I wonder how she'll portray Fragile!Reader.

YES!! I LIVE FOR DOTTORE AND READER VS NAHIDA INTERACTIONS!!

Nahida doesn't think she will ever understand the mind of the Outcast, nor she will ever agree with the way he works or thinks. He has long succumbed to the mind of a pure scientist, disregarding the value of human life if it will allow him to progress in his research. So, when the young God looks into the Harbinger's mind, she expects to see nothing different from that. But, even the God of Wisdom can be proven wrong, is something Nahida has come to understand, for although the Doctor's mind is certainly mad, he is also mad for you. That is certainly something she did not expect. She didn't even know you were still alive. So he's managed to prolong your life as well? But judging from what she's seen, you're still quite ill. Hm... the Dendro God is a mixture of surprise and intrigued. The Doctor is one who isn't above abandoning his experiments when they get boring or seem fruitless. And your case certainly seems hopeless, with no progress to be seen but... he still seems to be completely obsessed with you. It's strange, and a part of her understands and doesn't understand at the same time. Nahida knows that love can truly change people. But is the Doctor really one that could be changed? She finds it a bit hard to believe, but the evidence is right in front of her.

Of course, her curiosity cannot be contained and she has to inquire about you, to which Dottore blatantly disregards. He's not going to speak about you to almost anyone, much less a God. ("I didn't think the God of Wisdom would be so nosy about my private affairs.")

I imagine obviously she doesn't particularly like or approve of you, but Nahida still can't help but feel pity for you, with your illness and all. But she would still like to have a conversation with you. She would want to discover how you managed to have the Outcast wrapped around your finger... she would want to know your story... that is if you're willing to speak with her.

(high love wraith will be softer, i think. encounters with it will always start with a gentle brush of cheek, a firm - but not painful - grip on the arm, a soft kiss on the forehead, the neck, and the lips, and whispered words of affection. if u stole its necklace then perhaps it'll start off a little rougher to tease. a reminder of your sin against it. but it'll always, always only take one apology to see its face shift to a softer expression before it continues. i like to think that encounters with it will be more frequent. its powers may not be as potent as they are during blood moon, but it will try to make an effort in making its presence known to you. ofc, i don't think it can control what u will feel whenever u feel its presence (the | + stress | +trauma during encounters since u can't really… do a consensual encounter w it while it's in town), but it likes to be with u! it likes to be known! be perceived! you intrigue it. deeply so. is it wrong to wish to be in your presence at most times? if u have set romantic partners, it'll def try to possess them (more often). it makes/can make you uneasy, but this is the only way it can experience what it is to be in a relationship with you. must u really deprive it of this feeling?

also if somehow, by some miracle, wraith became an li… i rlly, rlly want for there to be a chance to gift it smth lol. esp if u stole its necklace. maybe ur gift will not be as valuable as its ivory necklace, but… idk. it could be a chance for pc to apologize with them taking the initiative instead of just taking care of ur children (tentacle/slime/im not sure if it applies otherwise?) and allowing it to control u during the elk street event? i think it'll be nice. maybe. ur gift can't possibly replace what u stole from it and it might not make it as happy as u want it to be but it's still an act of love! from u to it! depending on its love, the gesture can be insulting as it might take it as u belittling the value of its precious necklace, but otherwise it'd appreciate it still.)

I know Scar’s fit isn’t. a Cowboy fit. But everybody in the fandom draws it as if it is anyways, so like, why not go full throttle. I did just make the jacket a vest but honestly that’s kinda all I needed to do. And add gloves. He’s a cowboy now! Despite my prolonged valley phase, I was able to finish this!! This year makes my 2nd Days of Bloom, but GOSH was it my absolute favorite and has thus cemented this event as my favorite event of the year.

While there are other (and more nicely rendered) pieces of art that feature the three bloom capes, I HAD to illustrate one of my own featuring my Sky characters from my paracosm. ♥︎

Got recommended this little Australian show called "Upright" because it has a found father-daughter main plot (thank you Nikki!) and the premise is "a guy is driving across Australia with a piano and he gets into a car accident and his car is done and he doesn't have money for another so he just continues his journey with the 16 year old girl he crashed into and they become so close" (Nikki's words).

And after the first episode I'm rolling on the floor laughing at how unserious these two little shits are. Like two stray cats that keep hissing at each other but clearly can't be separated 😂 They're basically like "you crashed into me so now I'm going to be so annoying you'll have no choice but to love me"

This might just be my new favorite show idk
