A best-seller 'rags to riches to prison shackles' autobiography written by a woman in her late sixties, who was finally exonerated for the murder of her late, wealthy husband after 20 years in Blackgate prison, is getting a limited-series adaption. One of the most anticipated scenes is a exchange from early on in the book, in which the author describes a private, emotional conversation she shared with a young Bruce Wayne, where she recounts details about the passing of her son.

Countless fans try to theorize who will be casted as a younger Bruce Wayne. Some think it should be Damian Wayne, but many point out that he's too young for the role. Others think it should be Tim Drake, who would be at the right age to play it. However, as CEO, he doesn't exactly have an open schedule, and they haven't heard him disappearing for filming all those months ago. Other people think Bruce Wayne himself should play the role, using deep-fake technology to make him appear younger.

In the end, their questions go unanswered until the first trailer airs online for the limited series. It previews the very first glimpse of a young Bruce Wayne, played by previously unknown 'Danny Fenton', and the internet-

Because I am literally never not thinking about weird meta, blurring lines between reality and narrative, and the whole concept of actors becoming their characters, I am now entertaining thoughts of a Shadow of the Vampire-style story wherein a late-2010s-style all-female The Lost Boys remake gets derailed when the lead actress suddenly starts not showing up to shooting because she's sleeping all day...

#the plot still revolves around trying to figure out who the very real head vampire is (but now including everyone in the cast and crew)#but also trying to figure out what bits of vampire lore (from various sources) are actually applicable #('no that doesn't count!' 'it was in the sequel!' I love my two blue glow hair people

Some stuff about them:

His name is Stire with they/he/xe pronouns, gender really isn’t a concept they grasp well.

They’re around 18 years old with baby face so people sometimes think they’re as old as the first/second years.

Headcannon Yuu with actual magic back in their realm, but as they’re soul isn’t compatible they can’t use any of it, only keeping some moderate strength and their glowy under hair.

Stire is inspired by the ferryman, the belief that a hooded figure(usually a skeleton of sorts) will take you to your afterlife on a small boat over the River of nyx in exchange for 2-3 coins over your eyes and/or tongue. They worked pretty closely with ghosts and souls so they’re right at home at ramshackle.

They are very quiet and have a very ghostly vibe to them, often scaring people if they don’t announce themselves when they enter a room. Ze once scared the aduece duo so bad through a reflection duece gave them a black eye

ADORES grim, but they don’t gush a lot. Very matter a fact and takes grim very seriously and gets very excited when he does something new.

Autistic, struggles greatly with facial expression and vocal tone(same.) very oblivious to underlying meaning of words and take things matter of factly. Can’t tell when xey are being used until someone tells him he is. Ruggie takes their food a lot…

Likes architecture and gloomy things, so Ramshackle, Diasomnia and Ignihyde are their preferred place of resident as it’s usually dark, cold, and quiet-ish. Very sensitive to stimulation so they like cave like environments that they’re used to. They despise Scarabia because it’s so HOT and BRIGHT.

Their eyes are sensitive to light, with very pale almost grey irises so xey usually hide them under bangs or sunglasses.

Cold all the time, so frigid hands, giant sweaters, warm drinks are a must.

Gargoyle obsession, along with sculpture in general. Malleus and Stire often just infodump at each other and it’s just

No see, the fact Ed, Al, and Roy were allowed to leave the room without even that much added supervision is great story telling becuase it shows how cocky the homunculus and father were.

Bradley continously refers to humans as weaker, dumber, and all together inferior to homunculus. So do the other homunculus.

Aka, the homunculus only failed becuase they were too cocky in their plans and ended up fucking themselves over.

literally the ONLY reason father didn't win is because he wasn't keeping a close enough eye on hohenheim which is truly ironic because of all the humans that father Should've been able to predict the movements of it was the one that he was actually friends with at one point in time and knowing arakawa that's some additional level of meta analysis about friendship and trust and manipulation or w/e but really all this to say while the homunculi are idiots the humans they were trying to wrangle really did not do any better

#the homunculi were cocky as hell and it turns out they were sort of right to be #like sure they had to shove mustang in at the last second but the fact pride could do that on a whirl meant they were ready just in case #and like al was so close to getting it right he stayed outside the city with pride but was So Easily driven back in after pride got out #pretty sure pride even made some comment as he peeled off like 'wow yeah that was easy'#hell bradley might've just let mustang and the elrics go because it was Funny to see what they'd try #but in the end the humans won not because they collectively outsmarted father (which none of them but hoho did)#but because they all Came Together #Hohenheim was only able to pull of what he did by befriending an entire civilization and asking them to work together #and the numerous shots of father taking attacks from Every Member of the main cast in that final battle was extremely intentional #father banked so much on the inherent selfishness of the human race (a trait he exploited to the absolute fullest)#that he never gave any credit to actual human bonds #father didn't loose because he wasn't smart father lost because he didn't understand friendship #and that's anime as hell #reply #meta

WOE.BEGONE doesn't need a big budget or unlimited voice actors to be good. It's an amazing podcast because it's a passion project, it's written and made with love and care.

It was great when it was only Dylan talking to himself in his closet and it's great now when he has a full cast of voice actors filling in the roles and if it ever should return to just Dylan, it'll still be great.

#woe.begone #everyone always says 'start before youre ready you dont need to have everything right away to make something great'#and i feel woe.begone is an excellent example #how you can grow with your project if you get over the fear of not being ready #im glad it started when it did #and it never needed a full cast and tons of vocal songs to be excellent - its nice that we have that dont get me wrong #but it already was my favorite podcast before we got all of that
