I found the black ad you see randomly on ebay, while I was looking for Llamasoft games. And of course, where will I find something like that again? So I got it as well ( ˙꒳​˙ ). Had to wait a bit for all the packages to arrive (UK postage to Italy is now slower because of Brexit), and today's the day I show these to you! And up in the right corner, the DOS version of Tempest 2000, because yes. Can never have enough Tempest 😌. . Talking about obscure games, on Sunday I'll be able to try a special game for the first time: Tempest 3000! You might be saying, ha, yet another Tempest! Even though it is another version of that, this one only came out on the Nuon, an entertainment system that is so rare that it's really something to see it in real life. And it can't be really emulated either, so even owners of the original machine have to risk using it to play the games. Tempest 3000 is even rarer XD. But thanks to @magnum_cdi, my dreams of playing the game are going to become reality! 🤣Can't bring it back home, though. For SOT, dream was the one to do the vault rush yea? With dodgebolt it was the funneling? PKW he kept beating the course so they kept updating the difficulty. But how did he affect ace race, parkour tag, hole in the wall and gridrunners if you don't mind me asking?

ace race he caused the removal of the skip in space race because he hit it so consistently, parkout tag the strat of diamond patterns, the constant circling and the strat mapping of those old maps were all based off of him, hole in the wall im fairly sure dream was the first to at least popularise the information that a wall can never come from the direction which the last went to, gridrunners was the strat of pausing before the room so everyone is ready because the times of the rooms are from entry to complete, and only the total time counted those bits running between rooms and it was better to wait, as the time difference between rooms were small, so taking longer overall to get quicker room times was more effective

this mcc was soooo much fun omg. i know its kind of just consequence of it being a competitive game but i wish we could have seen less pvp/combat centric games (i miss buildmart.....) if only bc that gridrunners comeback w lime llamas (grian + joel + dan + impulse) was like the most cathartic thing in the world to experience

imagine during the breaks in between games all the teams sequester themselves in like various corners of the map to plan except for that one single team who doesn't plan jack shit and those members run around scaring everyone like "WHATS UP PURPLE what r we talking abt :D"

ace race running by wilbur as hes yelling about how he wants to make sweet love to ace race and all the pg streamers just going LALALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU

it would be pretty scary during parkour tag as well because you wouldn't be able to warn your teammates and youd have to shut the fuck up while being hunted

oh god the noise of the decision dome

sands of time would be horrifying. like. you're alone in this desert cave and you'd have to type to your teammates

imagine the beginning of gridrunners, being able to faintly hear everyone as you're lined up

proximity chat mcc is now so entertaining to me i love it

God Gridrunners was horrible for Cyan Coyotes...they were in first before this!!! Fourth is still good though

which fe drivers are the best at mcc games?

obviously inspired by @akantonelli ’a amazing f1 version of this post. here is my even more niche fe rendition.

ace race: mitch who always has to mute and deafen and complain to his chat. you would think he’s doing bad if you’re just listening to him but he has the record for most of the maps

battle box: jev is crazy at this and can adapt to all the different kits and maps. antonio knows this and almost always wool-rushes his team.

tgttos: pascal is the most consistent. edo nails terra swoop force every time. andre punches people a lot.

survival games: resident cod addict dan is really good but sweats too much. one time he got teamkilled (lava’d) by sergio and ragequit, missing the rest of the tournament. sergio was laughing the entire time.

buildmart: seb can be very good at it if people let him micromanage them. cass is a very fast builder and can definitely win with him but finds it way too funny to rile him up instead.

parkour tag: ollie rowland is a good hunter, sacha is a good runner and also makes good calls

parkour warrior: jake hughes is pretty good at the new format

gridrunners: it took a while for antonio to learn the game but once he did he is great. however if he gets stuck on something he might opt to just do bits with norman instead.

sands of time: robin is the best sandkeeper and pascal is a good runner. they work well together also.

meltdown: max is very good with the bow and can lead a team to victory if they cooperate

sky battle: nick cassidy thrives amongst the chaos. he once wiped out two teams with a creeper while laughing maniacally

bingo but fast: jake dennis figured out that you could pvp and dominated the game. then they turned off pvp.

hitw: nyck is cracked at this but everyone complains that he’s cheating (sometimes it bugs out and he benefits from it, what can I say)

rocket spleef: sam is obviously good (sorry) but edo is better at the extremely fast paced maps

bonuses:

jake hughes sweats petting the cats in the lobby

lucas is always commenting on the game design and once ranted about buildmart for 5 minutes straight until jake dennis left the call

andre started appearing on the admin streams and predicted jev to be the first b2b winner

ollie rowland was on track to beat the point record once and then his internet died

stoff used to be able to rig the audience vote until they changed the system to least votes

cass loves to sing along to the music, much to his teammates’ dismay
