I swear people in this fandom are too funny. Because how can people say on one hand that they didn’t pick up on anything romantic between Elriel until the bonus and then say elriels lack reading comprehension and don’t pay attention to the text or details. Wtf, clearly if anyone lacked reading comprehension it was you and not elriels lol. Because we didn’t need a bonus chapter to literally spell out for us that Azriel and Elain wanted one another.

What did you think “A mate will know what is wrong with Elain” and then Azriel being the one to figure it out was about?

What did you think Azriel being the first one to notice Elain was missing and “I’m getting her back” were about? The fact that Sarah had Azriel as the one to go on a suicide mission to save her and not her mate?

The fact that Elain is the first and only person that Azriel has willingly let hold TT, his most prized possession? “I saw the painting in my mind: the lovely fawn, blooming spring vibrant behind her. Standing before Death, shadows and terrors lurking over his shoulder. Light and dark, the space between their bodies a blend of the two.” Pretty sure elucien and Gwynriel didn’t have a moment like this.

Why is Elain the first one to hold his scarred hands and call them beautiful?

Why do you think Azriel was clearly upset about spying on Lucien because he didn’t want to see what he and Elain did together? “Azriel’s Siphons guttered, the stones turning as dark and foreboding as the deepest sea.”

Why is Azriel associated with a place called Rosehall of all things? A place more than likely belonging to his mother.

Why do you think Elain buys gifts for Azriel but not her own mate? That she’s the one who causes Azriel to actually laugh out loud and it’s a sound unlike anything Feyre has heard before?

That he stays up until whatever fuck o’clock in the morning just to listen to her garden plans and stays with her even after everyone goes to bed.

If Lucien is supposedly what she needs because of “sunshine” then why is Azriel the one who actually takes her to the gardens and spends time with her in the sun enjoying peace and quiet and not Lucien? Why have Feyre ask Rhys “what if the cauldron is wrong”.

Why is Cassian confused pretty much throughout all of ACOSF because of Azriel’s behavior? Why he doesn’t sleep at night, why he avoids family dinners, why Elain smiles shyly at Azriel and has to look away, why Azriel seems so concerned over Elain’s wellbeing when he learns Nesta and Elain had a fight, why his shadows gather likes snakes ready to strike Nesta for insulting Elain?

And most importantly what about the fact that Cassian and even Mor notice that Azriel no longer looks at Mor longingly and appears to be over her? Azriel’s feelings for Elain were the catalyst and reason for him moving on from Mor after 5 centuries, and it wasn’t Gwyn his supposed mate who he actually met two years prior to Elain? Hmm…weird.

Or what about Azriel following the sound of elain’s laugh to another room and sharing a charged look between them? Or Azriel not being able to go into the family room because of “who” was in there “His secret to tell, never hers.”

Not sure how you missed all this, as well as other examples I didn’t even list, and then have the audacity to say we have no reading comprehension. Elriels didn’t need a bonus chapter to literally spell out for us that Azriel’s secret was Elain. I didn’t need it explicitly stated by him that he wonders what she looks like when he penetrates her, or that Elain gets wet just from him touching her neck of “offer and permission” to pick up on what Sarah has clearly been hinting at for multiple books. He wants her, she wants him, but there’s a mating bond in the way which complicates everything. It’s really that simple.

If you couldn’t pick up on that, then it’s you with the reading comprehension problem not elriels. They actually have romantic setup unlike Elucien where Elain loses her boldness around him. Or Gwynriel who have an off page rescue, and off page dagger lesson we never hear about, an off page bonus, and a regifted necklace meant for another woman.

Hi, would weak hero s2 be on youtube cause it just came out last month? People are still posting reactions to the eps but there's i would more than watch you react (also they can't clock gays for anything sadly)

I haven't filmed it for Youtube, no, though I've been thinking about filming everything as if it could land on Youtube because every now and then (like with WH2) I realize in hindsight that it could've been a Youtube thing after it's too late

Turn Week 2024 Day 2 - Switching Sides

A while back, I made a different redcoat Ben edit, but without truly exploring the why and the how. Ben's p.atriotism and zeal for the Cause is arguably why he's least likely to turn coat, which, of course, makes it all the more fun to explore just how he could ever be pushed toward such a decision.

In my mind, the only way Ben could ever become a redcoat was either if A) he was in disguise like Abraham in S4, or B) he completely lost faith in the Cause and felt it did more harm than good towards his loved ones. Ben, after all, has proven time and time again that his friends and family are what's most important. He was never shy in hiding that fact. In S1 alone, Ben risked an entire detachment just to save his father and hometown, and despite not always being kind to his friends (i.e. keeping Selah's fate from Anna and Abe), he always did what he believed was best for them.

By S3, Ben was jaded enough to not completely turn his back on GW when he learned his side was responsible for Sarah's husband's d.eath (and thus, other people like him), so what if Ben learned this sort of life-altering revelation in S1 instead? I doubt it would be enough to change his allegiance (unless, perhaps, he blamed GW and company for Samuel's d.eath and Hale's), but it's still worth thinking about.

aaaah yes the way I like to see Imperial worlds.. In ruin and ashes!

Quite happy with how it turned out! Gonna wait until the spider it on to hit it with some pigments. Definitely my best 'Imperial ruins' base so far!

Time to unlock this spider character to go on it though, the amount of gold trim is insane on this thing but I've done it before so I can do it again!

like I could and will analyse c!tommy and c!dream until the heat death of the universe but the most simple, fundamental thing that is important to get is that they genuinely like each other on some level. they were friends once, very close friends. they grieve over the loss of that friendship. they have positive memories of each other. the simple days of the past they long for is one where the two of them were good friends!

the main difference is how they handle it. c!tommy has tried to move on, despite this being deliberately used against him. he struggles with it, and sometimes unhealthily wants to try again, even though he knows at the point it’s at it'll be horrifically abusive, but he’s made a new support network and processed his thoughts on c!dream. he says he hates him- and he does, definitely- but there’s a lot more complicated thoughts there. most of all, he's accepted that no matter his thoughts on c!dream, he can’t fix him. c!dream has chose this path and c!tommy trying to drag him off it will only hurt himself. you can’t help someone who thinks they’re fine, and will hurt you if they try. c!tommy, despite everything, has moved on.

c!dream, however, clings to that past. he clings to the idea in his head where c!tommy is as chaotic and impulsive as he was years ago, and they caused chaos together. it’s easier to make him a scapegoat than for c!dream to confront the truth, but behind his anger comes a twisted compassion, a twisted desire to “help”. stubbornly, he refuses to let the friendship go, and if he has to beat c!tommy into submission to prevent him from leaving like he feels everyone else has, he will. he's desperate, and he feels alone- and all the kind words of any of his friends mean nothing as things change and he lashes out, drives them away in a fury because he feels that they're betraying him by changing too, not staying in the perfect fantasy he has in his own head. c!tommy is the last remnant he has, one he clings to, because he refuses to see how he changed and therefore he assigns so much value to him. and for that, he’s one of the few people c!dream would consider a friend, yet that bond is one of twisted affection. one where c!dream views himself as a guiding force, where he controls c!tommy's every thought and action and abuses him if he fails to live up to arbitrary standards, and completely dictates his whole life. and when he claims it’s because they’re friends, he does not lie, yet that friendship is possessive, cruel, and toxic, one he refuses to let go even as c!tommy has.

i got a hunch my character isn't going to stay with the white mantle for much longer (shock if you've played gw2 i know) but justiciar thommis and his great fires of justice have my undying loyalty until the end of time

a long term goal is to eventually have an alt (as in an oc with lore, with the exception of my halloween mascot) for every elite spec, and optionally a core of each, so i'm trying to get my thoughts organized and. oh my god. my heavy armor roster is BARREN

(some of the characters i've left as core are really there bc they Could spec to one of the elites but i feel like i might get a better idea for a new oc... or bc i just can't think of any elite-specific lore for them)
