Sometimes I think world would be so peaceful if there were no women. No sexual assault, no female feticide, no forced prostitution, no dowry deaths, no early marriages.

i don't know if you guys have been keeping up with the women's world cup but this past sunday spain won against england. and you would think this would be the best moment of their careers and their lives but you wanna know what happened?

the spanish football federation's president non-consensually kissed one of the players, jenni hermoso, on the mouth when they were celebrating. this grown ass man took it upon himself to ruin the celebration for ALL the women who just achieved the thing they have been preparing for all their lives, literally the peak of a football player's career, they did it and he by himself ruined it.

and i say all the women because the other players, along 58 currently inactive and ex-players, stood up for jenni hermoso and have refused to play for the team until luis rubiales publicly apologizes and renounces his spot. now the rfef says they'll take legal action against the players and jenni for lying and because they have an obligation to play for the team.

do you remember how the men's world cup celebrations went? i do, im from argentina. no one said anything to any of the players, they were treated like kings for months and they are worshipped to this day. and rightfully so! they earned it i guess. but we do see the discrepancy?

how is it that we allow as a society for one man to sexually assault a woman right after achieving the thing another group of men got ceaselessly venerated for not even a year later? what do women have to do to earn respect? win the world cup? become the pride and joy of their country?

All the jokes about Ken and horses are good but I just wanna say it's such a good parallel to how actual young men get swept into misogyny and the patriarchy.

Like they're told to believe it means men get to be cool and manly and have this power but with that comes extremely rigid commands of what they can be as a man and a cycle of self hatred for never matching those gender roles perfectly. Patriarchy tells men that if they just do exactly what is expected of them, then they get all the "cool stuff" that comes with. That doesn't work though when there's only a small group that actually gets that power, but men will keep trying to fit into those roles in hopes that they can.

In the end there are no horses or the myth men are told, it's just endless cycles of self hatred and ingroup fighting.

In my personal headcanons, Trollex doesn't have a good relationship with his family because of how willing he is to let other Trolls in their kingdom. So he's lived most of his life trying to apease someone who was never gonna give him a chance, unless he went back to their old ways.

But when he meets John, someone who is unabashedly himself, he falls hard. And John falls right back, falling into the arms of this gentle giant who's more than willing to tell him how much he's loved over and over again.

These two are cheesy as hell and can often be found with their foreheads pressed together, whispering sweet nothings to one another.

They found each other late in life, but by god they're gonna make the most of it.

I could go on for hours about these two and frankly I already have so imma cut it off here and just say these two are without a doubt my OTP and I can't stop thinking about them-

Old Kim is completely unbothered by current Kim’s presence, takes it in stride to see a ghost of the past standing in his living room. But aside from the time travel, young Kim is dumbfounded at how they’d lived so long.

“70 was our goal, wasn’t it?” Kim accepts the offered tea. “Not bad.”

Turns out that Harry lived almost as long. Kim is shocked (on his liver??), then of course saddened at the thought that he ends up alone, sitting on a garish couch that has Harrier’s unique taste written all over it.

Old Kim waves him off with a chuckle. “Alone? I rarely get peace. The kids visit every day, now, and grandkids every weekend.“

Kim’s breath catches in his throat. It’s…more than he’s ever dared to dream.

“Besides. Harry’s around here someplace, I’m sure.”

Oh. Well maybe he isn’t as sharp as first perceived.

Old Kim smiles conspiratorially. “He isn’t moving on without me. We hardly spent a day apart for 45 years. When it’s time, he insists we go together.” Shakes his head. “Most stubborn man in the world.” He says it with the utmost fondness.

This doesn’t line up with Kim’s view of reality, but he can see the other is serious…and content. “Is this all a hallucination?”

The older man breaks into a brilliant smile, a map of wrinkles on a lovingly weathered face. “The world is stranger and more wondrous than you know, Kim. And you are going to be happy.”
