Lately I've been thinking a lot about how valuable it is to have stable friend group in close proximity. I love my friends and it feels a bit selfish to complain, but I genuinely feel lonely for missing out on that. Maybe the one thing I really took for granted when I was in school and uni. Adult life can be incredibly isolating on that regard I think

#also the way I lost my old friend groups... some genuinely because people move away and you lose touch that's just adult life #but I've had friendship breakups that destroyed groups and really fucked me up #that I'm honestly still trying to heal from that and accepting it #and beimg the extra friend around an already existing friend group is the absolute worst feeling sometims #that just. yeah.#i hate thst most my friends are either really impossibly far away or inconveniently far away #also the fact that I will never have my own stable dnd group bc of that.#hate it.#ida talks #personal #ignore all this tbh

So, I had no idea that tampons vs pads was even a debate. Nor did I know that tampons where considered the more mature or better option??

Like, I was chatting to a friend and she was like 'eww, I can't even with people who ware pads, its like wareing a nappie and it's so dirty?? No no, an adult should be wareing tampons' and I thought maybe this was a one off but no. Almost every person I've spoken to about it, who uses tampons, seem to have this high horse they sit on about tampons being the correct choice.

To explain, I honestly thought it was situation based? And preference?? Like, if I'm swimming or gyming or I've got a dance class or something? Tampon. Pretty chill day where I don't really have to maneuver all that quickly? Pad. I never really talked about it to anyone as a teen eather so I just assumed it was no big deal what your preference was.

I was wrong. So very, very wrong.
