Claude Levi-Strauss ve Ferdinand Saussure’un yapısalcılığı, Karl Marks’ın tarih anlayışı ve Fernand Braudel’in Anneles okulu Yoga tarihi incelemelerimin sacayaklarıydı. Birinci cildi yazarken toplamı üç kitap olarak tasarlamıştım. İlk iki cilt oldukça ilgi gördü. Yoga 1, beşinci, Yoga 2, ikinci basımda. Bu kitapların içinden doğan Pradipika da yakında dördüncü basımda.

Her ne kadar üçüncü cildin bir kısmını yazmış olsam da bir türlü bitirmek ve yayımlamak içimden gelmiyor. Bunun nedenlerinden biri 20. Yüzyıl felsefesini ve dolayısıyla yogasını incelerken artık yapısalcılığı değil yapısökümcülüğü, bunu yaparken de postmodernin sınırlarına girme zorunluluğum. Öte yandan, günümüzün tarihinin netameli, Türkiye örneğinin bile çokça tartışmaya açık olması. Bu nedenlerle son kitap uzak bir zamana ertelendi.

 Bununla birlikte, modern tarih hakkında çok iyi belgeseller var. Who Owns Yoga, Yogananda, Wild Wild Country, Thread of Yoga ilk anda aklıma gelenler. Bunlara geçtiğimiz günlerde Bikram belgeseli de eklendi.

 Dünya çapında 600 şubeye ulaşan, 10 bin USD’lik TTC’ler düzenleyen bu becerikli Hintli’nin yoga tarzı birçok insana iyi geliyordu, denediğimde bu da bir renk demiştim, üstünde fazla da durmamıştım. Ben basit şeyleri severim, öyle ortamı 44 dereceye getir gibi şeyler beni aşar…  Bir de böylesi bir bütçe de kafa karıştırmaya yeterdi.

 İşin ekonomi ve polisiye taraflarına girmek işim değil. Bikram son 3-4 yıldır ABD’ye giremiyor. Hakkında açılmış taciz suçlamaları var, çalışmalarını farklı ülkelerde düzenliyor. Bir tür güç zehirlenmesi de denebilir bu duruma. Geçelim.

 Burada her zamanki sorum devrede: Bikram’ın hocası kim? Bishnu Ghosh adlı Kalkütalı bir hathayogi, yoga terapist ve vücut geliştirmeci. Bikram’ın patentini almaya çalıştığı 26 asanalık serinin Ghosh tarafından oluşturulduğu iddiası var. Aslında tabii Ghosh’un da bir hocası var, onun da bir hocası… her ne kadar Ghosh kendi okuluna beden eğitimi okulu dese de. Yani anladığım kadarıyla Ghosh’un herhangi bir ruhaniliğinin olmaması…

 İşin ilginç, benim için şaşırtıcı yanı Ghosh meğerse Yogananda’nın kardeşiymiş. Yogananda ne kadar ruhaniyse Ghosh da o kadar dünyevi. Yogananda ne kadar güzel bakışlıysa neyse Ghosh da güzel bakışlı, hınzır olan Bikram…
