On average, what is the total MONTHLY amount that you spend on dining out*?

*(This doesn't only count going out to restaurants, but also stuff like picking up fast food to bring home, getting a coffee on the way to work, getting a premade sandwich from a grocery store deli during lunch, buying a quick snack from a convenience store or food cart whilst walking somewhere, ordering a pizza or any other food to be delivered to your home, etc.)

*(If you often dine out in groups/as a household: calculate and divide the costs so that you get a Per Person average. This is for YOU individually, NOT the total household/group costs)

(I'm sure polls similar to this have been made before (very common topic), I just haven't personally seen one that I can remember, so, I was curious to do my own! I was discussing this with a group of people today and it was very interesting to see how widely the number varied between individuals. :0c )

Maybe the rare month is a bit over $25 if there's something specific going on like birthday.#Which I'm NEVER eating in an actual restaurant (erm... covid... plus I just hate restaurant environments. i would rather pickup #the food and bring it home to a peaceful quiet environment that I control lol). But more typically like stopping by a grocery store deli #section or something. I don't have coffee that much. And I can't eat fast food much due to my health issues/diet restriction stuff #so if I'm out like coming back from an appointment and I start feeling really sick and weak. I know that a hamburger will just #blow up my system and cause nausea or something. So I try to pick the breadiest most #neutral looking turkey sandwich at the safeway deli to eat during the hour ride home or whatever lol #I actually kind of wish I could do stuff like get food more often vecause it would take the burden of cooking everything off of me #but.. alas... Money... and Health Things... T o T #I still wouldn't do it ALL the time but like... once a week instead of once a month or something.. or maybe turning into a coffee #person.. I do love drinks A LOT .. i am a drink person who will have 5 different drinks sipping on at all times #But i just have to make them all myself mostly lol #And I cant really have too much coffee since it will make me sick. so like.. teas and juice mostly #When I inevitably become a millionaire by never using social media never networking and only finishing one #sculpture every 5 months which I dont even post about or sell - then I shall... get more drinks..#I will somehow wean my body onto coffee and drink one a day solely for the ritual of it #Though even then... I would still probably just like.. buy the mateirals to make it at home or something #Like if you had a million dollars you could just buy a kitchen grade ice cream machine and other stuff to make your own milkshakes and #coffees and smoothies and bubble teas. Genuinely I think even if I were a BILLIONAIRE I would still look at playing likr $8 for a single #coffee and go .. uh.... I could just buy the equipment to make this and then save that money. PLUS. its in my house now so no need to #have to leave. I can make my own drinks in the comfort of home. .. ideal..#Like no matter how rich I ever got I would still have the lingering scroogey stinginess. like i am NOT paying for that. I will jus #make it myself. Especially if it was an Everyday thing. Anythign thats part of my routine I try to optimize and make as efficient as #possible... ANYWAY.. In an IDEAL world I would get treats. but probably not that much. as on a daily basis it would start to get #to me and I would just save up to buy kitchen machinery if I was rich lol

highly discomfited by how normal it apparently is in my environs to be openly judgemental about the [un]healthiness of other people's food choices

and furthermore how much of these judgements are literally just vibes rather than any real assessment of health impact

I have a question what were Annie's og parents like(i mean she was willing to run away with five aliens to be her fathers instead so I don't think they might have been the best😬) or maybe they're dead and were good people idk

A lot of the lore is actually written by @sweetpeaches666, who may be tagged under sugarbutterfly432, thanks to Annie technically being a 3 way OC lmao. There has been nothing solidly concrete about Annie's OG parents beyond the fact that she doesn't know her ancestry and she's had many foster homes AND orphanages to live in (plus it'd also be easier legal wise for the Andromeda 5 to adopt her if she isn't officially someone else's kid at the time)

It's actually why she does ballet, one of her foster mothers wanted to recreate her failed dream, turns out it breeds resentment and a lot of running away :P

What can be said is that Annie's been many different homes and in a constant state of transitioning between them, a prime example of being a refunded kid and all that, something something No Roots by Alice Merton yada yada 'oh no that's relatable'. Her birth parents one way or another have never been in her life, though regardless of what actually happened Annie will always believe that they left her behind like like everyone else did :P

saving up is so hard lol i keep having to talk to myself like: did you know the amount of money doesn't grow if you spend it...in fact there will be less of it. 😔

#i KNOW this obviously. im actually doing pretty well but i used to spend more money on things like train rides and lol smoothies #i can just cycle about half the way and save 20. and i ughgg i don't Neeed a smoothie that often i can just eat fruit #it's exactly because im denying myself the very minor 'luxuries' atm that i feel permanently pissy about it 💩#i did some calculations tho and these small things add up to 150 a month or so. i will have to spend less time saving up if i can just #drink some fucking water instead of juice and not take the train when i can but don't HAVE to because it's fun and lazy

i ordered groceries for delivery today (stupid. expensive. it's also beautiful out so i should have just gone to the store) which i do approx twice a year bc every time i have such sticker shock and every time i get replacements i don't want and this time the guy gave me chicken breasts instead of the thighs i wanted which makes me furious because i hate chicken breast. but it's not his fault because usually people prefer breasts. he probably thought he was doing me a favor and/or there weren't any thighs today. but also i'd placed the order this morning and then so completely forgot about it because it's so out of character that by the time i remembered to check what substitutions he was making he was three minutes away from my house. i also ordered a bag of nectarines (2 pounds of nectarines) and he gave me one single nectarine. hello..

#i did request a refund for the nectarines.#he also gave me mango juice instead of the green smoothie i ordered (so i can pretend i'm eating more vegetables)#which is fine i like mango. but that's not my vegetables #i also ordered what i thought was two bunches of scallions but they were BAGS of like five bunches each. i have SO many scallions #it's fine it's all good i'm glad i don't have to go to the store and carry home forty pounds of groceries #but this is exactly why i don't do it more frequently bc it's expensive and i'm a control freak #chatpost

conducting user interviews in four different languages on the same day, especially when i barely speak one of them and don't speak the other two at all (mandarin, french, and spanish respectively) is a level of brain hurty i did not properly appreciate

the starving street cat headmate has discovered the smoked salmon we bought

#we now have half a package of smoked salmon #he likes. smelling it #it smells really strongly of hickory smoke it's actually really nice #he wants more but we do not want to become ill #we can't have too much meat our body struggles to digest it #bc we kind of stopped eating much meat for a few months because we kept getting sick and going in and out of the ER #and red meat is more likely to upset our stomach so we've been sticking mostly to white meat like chicken and turkey #but we're slowly trying to introduce more meat into our diet again because our protein and calcium levels are real bad #our liver isn't doing too well because of the constant throwing up or not being able to eat #so we really really have to pay attention to what we're eating #while also desperately trying to balance thinking about it as little as possible #because the more we track what food we're eating the more disordered our eating gets because we get neurotic about it #we 1000% cannot focus at all on calorie intake because it messes with our head bad #but focusing more on the nutrients gained is better so we're trying to cycle between safe foods and nutrient foods #getting more calcium and fruit vitamins and protein from things like yoghurt smoothies (with added lactase so i can eat it!) and sardines #we've been focusing on trying to find ready-to-eat meats like canned meat and refrigerated meat #to make it easier to eat When We Want/Need To instead of at set times #makes it easier to Actually Eat

tell me what your morning/nighttime routine is, if you have one

#in the morning i change my pillowcase #tidy the mess i left the night before #like my desk or any clothes i have lying around #make coffee or tea #brush my teeth and wash my face #have breakfast which is normally a smoothie #then i do my makeup/hair/outfit #before i leave for work i always try to pet my outside cat for a few minutes bc i love her #i wish my nighttime routine was more strict...#i'm not as good about it #i used to stretch and meditate and all that #now it's normally just a shower #take my meds and get into bed #i miss when it was a little more self care based instead of just necessity #i just need more self discipline lol #rb and tell me your routines!!#i love to hear what people do every day without fail #it's like sweet to me idk
