ok. northwest mansion mystery is a great episode obviously. but HERES why i think the episode would've been even better if mabel was in dippers spot!!!!!! its kinda a lot so i put it under a read more

so this episode is sort of the middle-ish of season 2 i think, right before the ford reveal!! its not a super long show anyway so theres not a ton of pacifica appearances, anyway. BUT in EVERY SINGLE OTHER PACIFICA EPISODE, her energy has been bouncing off of mabel!!! from their meeting in double dipper, to irrational treasure, to golf war; they have been established as the main dynamic here. golf war is especially important here, because this is the very first step in pacfica's redemption arc! mabel saves her in this episode, the pines give her a ride home, and it seems like pacifica is going to start being a little more understanding of mabel because she had misjudged her, hence why she was treating her so poorly. it looks like theyre gonna establish a friendship between them!

and then. they dont. they basically never interact again. because the next time we see pacifica, she goes straight to dipper in northwest manor mystery. the cold open implies that the northwests wanted dipper specifically because of his knowlege of how to deal with the supernatural but IN MY OPINION that DOESNT EVEN MAKE SENSE because we NEVER see dipper fighting these monsters on his own? hes ALWAYS with mabel. at the very least, i think it shouldve been BOTH of them??? we see a brief shot of a newspaper clipping where dipper is fighting a vampire bat or something and i just. when did this happen. where is mabel

that would be a fine argument for it being both of them instead of just mabel so heres one of my bigger points thats gonna come back a lot in this breakdown: dipper. does not like pacifica. he STRAIGHT UP HATES HER. every single interaction theyve had has been negative!!! its even massively negative at the beginning of this ep!!!! though mabel often dislikes pacifica, she TRIES REALLY HARD TO LIKE HER. mabel has a lot of love in her heart, and if she could, shed want to be her friend!!! its always been pacifica whos been rejecting those advances!!! golf war was the start of pacifica understanding that about mabel, and it nmm wouldve been the PERFECT time to wrap up that arc, rather than leaving it!!!

and i would argue that could STILL LEAD INTO A DIPCIFICA ARC, if thats what the showrunners/fans wanted? most of why dipper hates pacifica to begin with is because shes so terrible to mabel. he only agrees to go to the party in canon because MABEL wants to!!! imo, i think the lead in to them being a couple would be a million times better if that massive problem in their relationship was solved first

i dont PERSONALLY like dipcifica but im trying to stay unbiased about this if you cant tell

i would also argue that like. dipper just seems really out of character. the reason i picked some of the scenes i did for my redraws, was because they were scenes that i think his behavior would fit mabel a lot better. examples:

why do the northwests have a suit in dippers size anyway. he literally doesnt even like wearing it sjkfhkj in a potential re-write of this ep, i considered that mabel would come in wearing her super extravagent home made dress, and it would 'violate dress code', so she would be forced to wear one of pacificas we could still have that cute dress-up expo scene that we do AND have some fun commentary/symbolism about pacifica being nervous about having her in the dress because its NICE and TOO GOOD FOR HER and she looked FINE BEFORE ANYWAY

mabels empathy is a recurring theme in the show. shed WANT to give pacifica the benefit of the doubt, and would be VERY betrayed when finding out her and her family already knew about the ghosts and knew what he wanted. i understand that dipper was so upset because it seemed like pacifica was changing for the better just to find out that she wasnt, but i think this fits so much better with mabel, because shes always WANTED to believe that shes secretly a good person. she would be glad to see her turn a corner, and would be upset when finding out she was 'wrong', and that she really was mean deep down. whcih would obviously lead to her comforting her later/finding out the truth about her etc etc. on the other hand, dipper literally never believed she had good in her. from the first interaction we see of them, he thinks shes as terrible as her family. he ISNT as interested in giving her the benefit of the doubt and if it wasnt a life or death situation i dont think he wouldve forgiven her. IDK i just think its more in character for her

the dancing scene!!! honestly this works fine as is (i can see both dipper and mabel being excited to make a mess on a fancy carptet) but idk i just think it carries so much more weight if its these two girls. silly moments for mabel!!!! pacifica getting to really be a kid and not just a sparkly prop!!!!!!! pacifica finally indulging in her sillyness that she mocked in irrational treasure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok moving on. one of the bigger things that bother me about it being dipper here instead of mabel is one teeny tiny (honestly really irrational) scene at the party. in it, dipper is confronted by fiddleford, who tells him he has big news about the author/the laptop and the towns in danger and its vitally important and dipper just. shrugs him off???!!?!?!?! i cannot even IMAGINE. in alex hirschs words "the first season is about dipper being in love with wendy, and the second is about him being in love with the author" meaning that. those are the TWO things that dipper is completely and totally obsessed with. hes clearly not over wendy (as we see in later episodes) and this is not long after sock opera/society of the blind eye so youd THINK hed be more depserate for answers than ever!??!?! this child was willing to sell out his great uncle and raise the dead and stay up for several nights in a row for answers, and the second he is offered some (from a man who WORKED WITH THE AUTHOR btw) hes like like 'whatevr'?!?!?! it is so out of character and it drives me fucking nuts every time. i know hes starting to like pacifica now but as we see in the comics (if you chose to think those are canon) HE DOESNT EVEN SEEM TO LIKE HER THAT MUCH!??!?! hes STILL convinced shes vain, and mean, and selfish!!!! he DOES start to have a little arc with her but jksdfjksf IDK i just cant in a million years see him passing up the chance for answers to the biggest mystery in gravity falls to hang out with a girl he tolerates

but yknow who i CAN see doing that? MABEL!!!!!!!! mabel would be concerned when mcgucket comes up to her, and starts talking like this!!!! i can totally see her suggesting that he relax for a little while and enjoy the party like dipper did, and then forgetting to come back to talk/not running into him later!!!! ESPECIALLY since i can see mabel WANTING to spend time with pacifica where dipper just. really doesnt seem to want to MOST of the time

ok ill admit that this last one is sort of a personal opinion. but i just. i really dont like the B plot of this episode with mabel and the girls. IDK its just so annoying and pointless to me to have a plot where its just a bunch of girls turning against each other over a guy. im not gonna say its mysoginistic bc i know little girls can be boy crazy but i just. dont see why there was a need to make them fight/turn against grenda briefly??? even when they rekindled and it was all ok in the end its just. in comparison to the A plot its so. Nothing.

in my head i have a rewrite of this episode and how it goes is that pacifica approaches dipper and asks for help and he turns it down (like he does in canon). mabel suggests that they do it anyway, but he refuses, as he wants nothing to do with her. when dippers gone, mabel agrees to help (and pacifica begrudgingly accepts bc it seems like the only option) and so she steals the journal when dippers not looking. she goes to the party, and events go pretty much the same?? only major difference i can think of is that the B plot is replaced by one where dipper realizes mabel and the journal are missing, so he sneaks into the manor/sneaks around the house trying to find he rand get it back (and its so massive he has no luck). the reason i think THAT works is because we can even still have the scene where dipper turns to wood like shifty prophesied!!!! and i would even argue it makes more sense this way because wasnt shiftys warning that "if you keep digging so deep into the secrets of gravity falls, this will be the last form youll ever take" ?

Maiden with Eyes of Blue -> Sometimes time needs to slow down and a single scene should be a character study/ hashing out of things you needed acknowledged by canon, the situation is ESPECIALLY dire for Seto Kaiba as ive made my feelings on his writing known many times. This is it. Kisara isnt reincarnated in this one though, but her love for him can be felt in the air. Ngl you could just incorporate this into post canon and it would be fine. canon compliant+ canon enriching.

Shades of Water, Ice, and Sky -> I'm skimming through each fic to see what they were about and i just gotta say: why so heart-wrenching if so short?? theyre in love your honor.

Their Promise: Book I -> ok gonna be honest w you i havent finished this one and the main reason is that i cant go past the SPECTACULAR first chapter. ive started and failed to draw it in its entirety. i open it, i chew on the first chapter like a rabid dog, i close it more often than not. the second reason is it has a lot more angst and heartbreak than most blueship fics do and im weak to that sort of thing. still, if we follow their ancient egypt encounter beat by beat, which is a fantastic way of following and enriching the canon, their first meeting needs to be as kids with him saving her from a cage. chefs kiss.

It was another hot day in the Prison. The heat of summer makes your skin crawl with sweat. You sat out by the picnic tables in the common area. You sat watching the man that was constantly on your mind. 

“He's older than you,” Carol pointed out. You knew this, of course you did. It was the one thing that constantly went through your mind whenever you looked over towards the archer.

“I know” You answered, already knowing that some of the members from the other community would rag on you for ever being with him, not that you were.

 Daryl had found you in the woods back on the Green farm, you were paranoid, lost and convinced you were going crazy. You were a little older than Beth and just around Maggie's age, but you stayed away from the older Green. Beth became your best friend, saving you from yourself more times than you can point out. While you may be older than her the two of you lived in your youth around each other. 

“He's Daryl, he’s harmless plus the world did kinda end” Beth said from beside you at the table. It was just the three of you today, Sasha and Michonne being off somewhere. 

“You girls know I trust Daryl, he’s my pookie but he’s weird with feelings”' Carol defended, knowing we only meant to point out the obvious about Daryl. He was a recluse, only hanging around a few and you had only just started to crack his shell.

“He's just so stubborn but so…” You started, your words drifting off not being able to fully say the rest of the sentence out loud. 

“Attractive?” Beth supplied for me, you nodded your head. He was handsome and lord did you want to know what he could do with his hands.  “Omg stop” Beth squealed from beside you. 

“What?” you asked, shocked by your friend's outburst. 

“You are thinking about what he would do to you” Beth exclaimed loudly, followed by your hands covering her mouth. The two of you continued to wrestle with each other until the man in question approached the table.

“You girls fighitn’ ov’r here?” He asked, the southern drawl coming out heavy.. You swallowed slowly. Beth kicked you from under the table, you hissed and clutched your leg. “You good darling?” he asked, using that damn nickname again. 

“Oh…yea im fine” you told him hesitantly, a small blush crept up your cheeks, making it look like the sun's heat was getting to you. Beth snickers fom beside you. Carol was here to save the day, and more importantly save you. 

“I think the girls should go help out Lori with the laundry, hm?” she questioned. You both shot up from the table, saying a small goodbye and dashing back inside the prison to a little bit of cooler air. Carol still sat, and Daryl joined her. He didn't say anything at first, still wondering why you had been acting weird around him.

“It's not my place to tell you so don’t ask'' Carol started, “but the girl has a special place in her heart for you, so don't be mean to her pookie." She stood up from the table, leaving a startled Daryl and walked away.

The days following Carol's words to Daryl he started over thinking many things, the way you looked at him, the small touches, even the way you walked. Every single thing you did clouded his mind till he knew he was in trouble. He figured that it was some sort of cold, then he realized it wasn't a cold that was making him hot it was you. For a week he let his feelings be mulled over, and after having many conversations with Carol and Rick about it he knew he had fallen hard for you. The two of you had not hung out in a while, courtesy of Daryl avoiding you, but you figured he was busy and not that he was grossed out by you. Daryl also avoided you knowing that he was older than you and thinking that it wasn't a good thing to be attracted to a woman significantly younger than himself, but Daryl continued to watch you. He watched you leaving the prison, watched you enter all the while you didn't see any of the looks he gave you. He did this for weeks, just watching you still afraid of the things going through his head. 

“Oh pookie” Carol said to her best friend. Darly shook his head. 

“Ah! how could i ‘av been so stupid?” Darly asked her, she smiled at him.

“Your not stupid Daryl, just a little blind” She told him, when you walked out of the door to the prison Daryl's eyes immediately found yours. You smiled over at him, someone probably Sasha called your attention away from him and you walked down the gravel path towards the gate. He trailed your body with his eyes, watching the shape of your ass walk away from him. Carol got up and stood beside him, pushing him in your direction. She nodded, giving him a bit of encouragement.

“She’s not going to reject you,”Carol assured the man. 

“What if she does?” he asked

“She wont” Carol said, giving him another push. Daryl kept his eyes on you watching the way your hips moved or the placement of your hands. You were talking to Sasha about another potential run for supplies further out, you were willing to go with but needed to check in with Beth and the others in case you had another job they wanted you to do. You didn't want to admit it but you hoped Daryl would be going as well. Daryl walked down the path towards the two of you, Sasha waved him over.

“Hey, I'm trying to get some people to go on another run further out tomorrow. I need you man, your good out there” Sasha told him. He glanced at you.

“You goin’?” he asked, you looked back at Sasha who had some sort of mischievous glint in her eyes.

“Yea, I was planning on it” You told him, he nodded.

“Good, ill see ya’ tomorrow then” he said, walking back up the hill towards Carol.

When the sun rose Sasha, Daryl, Michonne, Bob and yourself met up at the gate. You had on your jeans, a tank and a flannel shirt to keep the sun and the bugs off your arms. The heat of the morning was variable, seeing as the sun hadn't gotten to peak height just yet. You carried your bag with you, loaded with water and a few cans of beans, your hip had your gun holster and an assortment of knives on your belt and boots. You could never be unprepared going out into the world you lived in now. Daryl took in your appearance, turned on by just the sight of you standing there with all your equipment. Once the car was loaded Daryl offered for you to ride with him. 

“I don't want to be a burden, I can just ride with everyone else” You told him, he shook his head.

“Nah” Daryl said, “I want ya’ to ride with me.” You hopped on the back of his motorcycle, and hugged his middle, once you got comfortable, and felt the flex of his mussel under his shirt. He didn't flinch, and he didn't move when your hands roamed a little. When the journey started you didn't realize how much the rumble of the motorcycle engine could entice you, or even the way he felt while you were hugging him. Daryl knew that if you stayed on the bike long enough he may have you unraveling. He knew what he did to you, because he watched you too often to know about the hungry looks you gave him. Beth would often slap your arm or flick your head when you were lost in thoughts about him. It made him want you closer, just thinking about the way your eyes looked at him, or the way your mouth contorted when you thought about him long enough. When the group had stopped for the night, in one of the town they had scavenge everyone stayed in the two closest houses. Daryl, Michonne and yourself in one ad the other had Sasha and Bob in the other. The whole night you wished you were next to him, drawing a straggled wine from your mouth. The room you were in was cold, no one else was staying with you since the only bed was yours.  Michonne took the room downstairs while you and Daryl took the rooms upstairs. You heard one of the bored squeak outside your door, and a soft nok came from it. You walked over to the door and opened it to find Daryl standing outside your door. 

“Daryl?” you asked. Before any more words could leave your mouth he kissed you. It was needy, sweat and a little rough. You felt him move forward making you cling to him and follow his movements. He shut the door behind you before continuing the kiss he had started. You didn’t question it, your mind to hazzy now from the breathless kisses with Daryl. He moved to lay you down on the bed, his hands came to roam over you.

“Woman, you have any idea how many times a day I wanted to do this?” he asked you, feeling his hands all over your skin, he started a trail of kisses down your neck till he found your sweet spot. “How i wanted to see you unravel on my bike, make you ride it out behind me?” His words sent a moan out of your mouth and shivers to travel down to your core. You felt hot in your clothes and attempted to rip them off. Daryl however stopped you, taking the lead by taking them off you himself. “I want to see you squirm, Y/N, I want to see you unravel underneath me as I take you” he told you, and you only nodded our heads. “I need confirmation sweetheart or ill stop right now”

“Yes! Please Daryl” you moaned, you wanted all of him, his mouth, his voice, the throbbing feeling of your core didn’t stop and you couldn't take it. Cloths ended up on the floor and Daryl crouched over you watching you breath. You nodded your head, waiting to feel him inside you. Both of your breathing increased and the moans coming from both of you filled the room. He helped you ride out your orgasm and you did the same for him. His hands fell from your hips and the two of you collapsed on to the bed.

Recovery has had enough of his BS and he's a little scared of her, so he takes the appointment even though he'd rather be sleeping and in the end he's glad he did because you're sitting next to him in the full waiting room, leg bouncing nervously as you wait, knowing you'll be stuck with a lot of needles today. "Nervous?" He asks, because you're way too pretty to ignore and if he's going to be shot down, he wants it to be far, far away from where his friends can witness. But you get talking and your personality pulls him in until they call your name and he gets up with you, jokingly promising to hold your hand through it all - since your hands are hurting like hell though today his hand's on your shoulder the whole time. One of the nurses recognizes him from making the appointment and that's a good thing because Recovery Girl would have had his head if he missed his own. News travel fast so by the end of your impromptu Doctor Date Recovery Girl already has the tea and knows Aizawa brought his "partner" to his appointment. He doesn't know anything about that, but he offers to drive you home - and get some food on the way.

Denki's the kind of person who trips in front of you and then dramatically tells you that he just couldn't do anything BUT fall for you. You're cute, he's single, so of course he shoots his shot, but he doesn't really think he'll succeed - the past has proven the effectiveness of his flirting after all. But you giggle at his antics and he's up in a heartbeat like a jack in the box. His flirting method is basically going "Please, please, please, please, please!" With some funny jokes in between but you agree on a date and he couldn't be happier. Now one might think Denki is a little superficial, and he is, but that doesn't mean he doesn't love you. It just takes him a while to understand that there's a difference between him thinking that you're smoking hot, funny and awesome to be around, and that burning feeling in his chest that makes him want to curl into a ball next to you. You're suddenly the reason he gets up every morning because being a hero means saving people and he will do anything to keep you safe, but you're also the reason he gets home on time because you don't mind when he's being needy, patting his hair like he's a kitten when he cuddles into you.

Even More Charbee Prompt Rambles

I want to leave. I hate this place. I want to be free but i cant. I need to stay then i can leave and never come back.

What if Burns was much angrier at Charlie? When she elbowed him in the stomach that was the last straw?

As Charlie begged Bee to fight, she elbowed Burns in the stomach to let her go. Remembering all the pain Bee caused and how this random girl says that this thing is more human than him, something snapped so he throws her onto the ground.

The loud crack silences everyone.

Burns checks on Charlie and it’s confirmed that she’s dead, blood splitting from her head and her eyes no longer glowing in that beautiful amber. Burns immediately feels guilt and when he looks up, Bee is standing tall and furious. Bee starts attacking everyone. He would’ve shown mercy and just shot at the tanks to create a statement but they killed the girl loved.

Now they all must die.

Burns barely gets out alive but looks up from the carnage and sees a gun aimed at his face. He doesn’t dodge or move. He embraces death, knowing the blood on his hand. Bee only stops when Memo says, “Is this what Charlie wanted?” Bee thinks for a moment and buzzes sadly. His gun retracts and shifts to his beetle form and drives off. Bee and Memo leave and Burns feels bad for killing Charlie, ultimately leaving this guilt in him for the rest of his life.

Memo barely catches up with the bike and helps Bee stop the Decepticons, fighting two on one with more ferocity than the two terrified cons has ever seen. Both heartbroken men pushed through the grief, the image of their dying friend motivating every punch and step. Memo held back the tears as he climbed up to the tower and with a glare at the two evil bots, the power source in his hand, Memo screamed at the top of his lungs,

“THIS IS FOR CHARLIE!”

Bee still defeats Shatter by destroying the but Bee stays in the water to die, not seeing any motivation to swim back up. Memo tried to jump in to save him but was knocked unconscious the moment he hit the water. When he was saved by Burns, his yellow bot friend has gone completely missing. The young man grieved two new friends that day.

Several years later, the Earth was saved by a the autobot and Puerto Rican electrician. Their scanners found a traces of the missing B-127 scout at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. A yellow Beetle is fished from the water by the Autobots. They try to revive him. Noah saw how much this scout meant to the Autobots, especially to Optimus Prime. He hopes to bring him back the same way as Mirage but he is unable to, saying that B-127’s spark has appeared to have given up and died from heartbreak.

His car has become nothing but an empty shell with a single polaroid of a teen girl with kind brown eyes on the dashboard.

i just finished rewatching the second season of doctor who and im absolutely devastated like i am every time.

like doomsday is some of the most heartbreaking television i have ever seen it gets me so bad every time. they build up this complicated relationship between rose and the doctor for TWO SEASONS!!! they flirt and he tells her more and more (including that he was a father once!!!) she starts to even learn how to operate the tardis almost. she picks up on his mannerisms and behavior and knowledge (for example at the beginning of the doomsday ep when she's threatening the daleks and doesnt even flinch..), she even saves him on multiple occasions and he trusts he FULLY. he finally has a real ally. she promises him multiple times she will be with him forever and she means it and he accepts it. he has an EQUAL. she gives this whole speech too about how he's all alone out there saving the universe and needs someone by his side and how she wants and needs to be that someone. they care about each other so much. he almost tells her he loves her in the satans pit. they obviously care about and love each other so fucking much. and i have never seen the doctor cry. i can't remember if he cries in the seasons after that but IF he does its very rarely. and he cries when he loses rose.

that moment when she was reaching for the lever and he knew what was going to happen, you could see the pure fear on his face.

he made her like that tho. they kept hinting at it with all the shots of her learning how to drive the tardis and saving him and solving things before him and acting like him. she became just like him and thats what made their end. because she knew getting to that lever was dangerous but she did it anyway bc thats what the doctor would have done. and she refused to leave him too.

and then she fell into the parallel universe anyway and got taken away from him forever. (sort of)

and they didn't even let him say it back to her. she said she loves him and he wanted to say it back but he disappeared before he could say it and thats the most devastating moment of it all because they couldn't even give him that. and then he cried. he never cries.

and when she was talking about leading a normal life and he said "thats the one adventure i cant go on" like i feel sick.

they were perfect for each other. she learned so much and taught him so much and they were perfect. and now shes gone and he has to move on.

its just pure devastation. that is such a sad ending for them. it breaks me every single time.

"ohh we need sky people's bone marrow so we can survive but theres only 47 of them so in order to take all the bone marrow for us they have to die" you know how they could handle this shit?? by fucking ASKING. they KNEW there were other sky people on the ground now. like at least 100 of them i think. so they should have gone to them and say, "hi sorry we are humans who have to live underground bc radiations. but your bone marrow could save us. so can all of you give us a bit of your bone marrow? we offer an alliance and other commodities (medicines etc)". imo sky people would say YES bc bone marrow grows back its not too dangerous to donate it if its just a bit. everybody would be alive by now. and i wouldnt have got a headache

still about mountain weather arc: another way to handle that would have been: asking the 47 kids a bit of their bone marrow and WAITING it to grow back. like donators in real life yk? by 2 years all of the mountain people could have gone on the surface and everybody would be alive now and i wouldnt have got a headache

marcus kane is also a very funny character. hes desperately trying to die since they flowed those 320 people on the arc. and i LOVE he CANT die. everytime he's like "omg finally im going to die" and someone saves him. im sure as soon as he thinks "ok maybe being alive is not so bad" he gets shot

mountain weather arc is truly the most stupid thing that every happened in a tv show. they chose the worst possible way to handle the problem. they acted more stupidly than the kids in season 1. i really cant believe humanity survived for 97 years

the "100" on the spaceship were NEVER exactly one hundred. bc bellamy got inside so they were 101. but during the landing 2 kids died. so they were 99. there is not a single moment in this serie called "the 100" were they are one hundred. this fact is driving me crazy

this is gonna sound real weird but im rereading the second selection and i reread u20 last night- and i LOVE the sweat details in each player and how it showcases their differences

cant believe im about to make a post dedicated to sweat on soccer players but aye man not the weirdest thing in the world LMFAO also another long post i have a lot to say about these boys and their sweat

bllk manga spoilers- second selection, u20, and neo egoist league

first all, i love how the amount of sweat on each player determines skill level and power TO A CERTAIN DEGREE it’s like their level of sweat is their level of power they’re exerting if that makes sense

look at isagi in his match against the top three

this is only the start of the game and he’s already sweating because his weapon requires a lot of power. when rin does the same thing,

not a single bead of sweat in sight. it shows the gap between of them of them in the second selection. isagi had to exert a large amount of power to pull that kind of shot off, while rin’s was almost effortless it’s criminal. 

even here with aryu

another shot that was so effortless it should be against the rules. isagi had already exerted power, running around, passing, and attempting another shot. even when bachira started making plays on his own, he started sweating

and this interaction between bachi and toki,

toki is using a lot of his physical power and bachi is using a lot of his as well to make those passes and trying to break away from toki. also toki is freaking the fuck out and was already sweating buckets before hand, which is why i said it showcases this to a certain degree. cause toki, poor boy, was losing his mind before the match had even started

nagi, bachira, and isagi are already sweating while aryu and rin are dry as hell right now. nagi, bachira, and isagi are working as a team, constantly putting out power and using all of their weapons. rin and the others were fighting independently. they weren’t thinking of playing as a team. and every move and play came effortlessly to them.

even with rin’s ego out and about, he wasn’t exerting nearly as much power as isagi was to sweat.

the three of them were using way more power than rin while he was hardly trying. he didn’t care about this match. he just wanted to move on and win.

sae motherfucking itoshi. the one that EVERYONE points out for not having a single drop of sweat on him through his entire appearance in the story. sae is rumored to have meta vision and didn’t even think about using it in the u20 match what a demon. but i think everyone, at this point, knows sae was barely trying in the match so we’ll keep our focus on bllk’s eleven

now the u20 match is where everyone and their moms, literally was sweating bricks fr. but look at everyone’s difference at the start of the match.

isagi was running around the field and had a brief confrontation with oliver. chigiri was running around, trying to block or stall sae. gagamaru saved sendou’s shot and karasu was keeping defense in check. nagi and bachi still had yet to use their weapons.

the longer the match went on, obviously they got more tired and their weapons were taking a lot of power and they were getting fatigued. chigiri was SOAKING when they got him out of the game cause of his leg and how much he used his weapon, his infamous speed 

but since a lot of them have improved since the previously mentioned second selection, take nagi.

normally, nagi would be sweating by now. but this shot, the shot that got them the first goal, didn’t cause him to break out in sweat like in earlier games.

look at the team v vs team z game

look how much he improved :((( he was already using a considerable amount of power, but since he improved so much as a player, he didn’t need so much to execute that shot in u20. this same comparison could be done for chigiri as well for another example.

anyways, the star of the show, rin. i think him, shidou, and sae obviously, had the least amount of sweat on them by the end of the match. however once rin’s ego TRULY comes forward, he was sweat way more than we’ve ever seen him. look at him at the start of the match

and here he is with his ego and flow state, exerting a new level of power we’ve never seen from him yet.

and now, i offer up the one and only

michael kaiser. in the two times we’ve seen the beloved kaiser impact, not a single drop of sweat in sight.

isagi’s already using so much of his power and has been consistently using meta vision for as long as i can remember (this game istg) and michael has been consistently using it as well, without a single drop of sweat. it’s really unclear if sae was doing the same thing since we hardly got anything from his pov and his thought process wasn’t really known either. 

it’s fitting that the new generation world 11 are this op and able to relax like that in games like that.

so i want to piggyback (heh) off of this post by @scrunchietown , specifically the monologue bit and the reactions we get from will and why we even get a shot of jonathan (which goes into my theory that jonathan knows abt will and mikes feelings for each other and why he’s important to byler outside of his own character arc too)

will’s reaction and finally knowing what mike couldn’t say all of the time they’re together in s4 is so important to bylers story because will is getting told this vague explanation from mike, who won’t outright say the thing he can’t say to el. not only do they have this talk once, not twice but THREE times goes to show how important this is for will to finally understand. will has been trying to save mike and el’s relationship every single time, because as much as it wouldn’t be satisfying for an audience member (or a byler i should say) will would rather mike stay his friend forever and see him happy than to lose him by confessing his feelings. but when mike has been pushing back every single time about this conversation, “a fight you cant come back from”, “i didnt know what to say” “im just some random nerd who got lucky superman landed on his doorstep” basically what mike won’t say makes him scared el won’t need him anymore. NEED. which sounds… a lot more like a caretaker, parent, sibling thing rather than someone who has romantic love for you would say. will can’t understand what is so important and crucial to mike and el’s relationship that he can’t say because he already assumes mike and el are in love with each other.

mike NODS along to this, he doesn’t deny this, he agrees that el may not like the truth.

will is hurt and confused when he hears what mike wasn’t telling el… but why does jonathan come into frame? a bit odd that they not only included will having a solo shot in mikes love confession, but they gave jonathan a solo shot as well (but not argyle?)

because jonathan has been watching byler interact all of season 4. he watched the way mike didn’t hug will, he watched will lie about the painting, he watched will mope over mike, he watched mike and will have a heart to heart for however long before interrupting, he barged in on their 2nd heart to heart, he watched mike and will the entire van ride AND the van scene— so if they’re giving jonathan a solo shot? what is it supposed to mean? what is the reasoning behind it? is it because will and jonathan just had their own heart to heart and he feels bad for will? partly… but that doesn’t really make sense from a storytelling perspective, if anything smth like what robin did to steve when jonathan and nancy reunited would have been more fitting if that were the case.

jonathan and will having a solo shot within mike’s monologue is meant to make you think, it’s meant to show insincerity because a love confession should be private and not in a high stakes situation. jonathan may feel bad for will, but he also knows mike isn’t telling the truth or that somethingjust isn’t right with this situation. (imo because i believe jonathan has clocked that mike likes will back)

considering the fact that will and jonathans heart to hearts wasn’t even MEANT to happen as well, says so much about the monologue scene if that conversation never made it into the show. 🧐🧐🧐

now as to what those labels rly mean ppl were overall speculating that it might be sth along the lines of. conservatives as the tsaritsa loyalists who stand united and for the organization and her majestys goals above all (OR alternatively just like. a more cautious take on How to approach the toppling celestia deal) VS those whose true ambitions, loyalty and methods they are willing to turn to are more of a wild card situation . and their allegiances are equally volatile in turn . & i will say imo the radicals are also most likely much less of an united group compared to the conservatives given uhhhhhhh. well you will see
