wash tormenting the reds in the most petty ways possible because he's still pissed off about them hitting him with a car and then blowing him up in s8 is so important to me you don't even understand
#I'm pretty sure I've said it on my old blog before but wash is the blues older brother but to the reds? he's the neighborhood bully lmao#that scene in s13 where wash gets all the chorus soldiers to turn on grif for refusing to attend the training sessions? 100% an act of#calculated cruelty on wash's part lmao#oh oh or in s11 when wash hooked up blue base to the ships power but not the reds? also calculated lol#wash stealing all of their stuff in s10 will also always be a fav petty wash moment of mine#he is out to make them suffer and they're not even aware of it lol#rvb#agent washington#mine#not t/oaru#if i ever write my ct lives au fic I'm going so hard on petty grudge holding wash#he is an absolute menace but he's so lowkey about it that in universe trying to convince ppl that wash is as petty as he is#is nearly impossible#the only ppl aware of wash's true nature are the counselor the director ct alpha and probably maine (and maybe florida)#everyone else sees him in a similar light as his fanon characterization#that's part of the reason why i think lina was so shock in s10 when he turned his gun on her bc to her wash was always so subordinate that#she just genuinely never saw it coming#anyway wash/ct/maine friendship is so important to me. i like to include south in there too sometimes but honestly south comes off as a#loner type. like she doesn't mind ppl but no one except north is really willing to tolerate her uh....personality for long periods of time#shes very....reactive and emotionally charged#but tbh id be that way too if i was stuck with north#north unironically reminds me of my dad but not in the good way lol#god my tags are all over the place#audhd brain goes brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

what are your thoughts on the cheeky lil cow boy (belphie)
Ah yes, Belphegor, a bit of a polarizing character in general, I think. People seem to either really love him or really hate him.
Generally speaking, I think he's deceptively cunning, but not in a malicious way. He's pretty chill most of the time, but he'll do stuff like manipulate his brothers to get them to do his chores for him. Except for Beel, of course. And really they are a unit. Belphie is always ready to fight for Beel and vice versa. But I also really like how they just quietly support each other. Someone will say oh Belphie fell asleep in this weird place and Beel will immediately be like I'll go get him. Or Belphie will be like we need to make sure we bring food to this thing because Beel will get hungry. Like they're just always thinking about each other and I think that's really sweet.
Belphie will also call people out if he wants to. If he has no reason to keep it to himself, he'll straight up tell you if he thinks you're doing something questionable. And his issues with Diavolo indicate to me that he has a problem with authority, like he would be more defiant if he wasn't also lazy lol.
Inevitably, though, we can't really talk about Belphie without discussing the Lesson 16 Incident. At this point, I think most people are aware of those events, but just in case, I'll put the rest of this under a read more. And also it's kinda lengthy, so be forewarned lol.
First of all, I have to say that I was honestly so confused about what was happening in Lesson 16 that I didn't fully understand that Belphie had killed MC. I had to read it multiple times and then read what other people were saying about it. So I never had an intense reaction to it.
But to be fair, it wasn't like we didn't know there was something weird going on the whole time. I knew it was the youngest brother locked up there and it seemed like it was wrong, so that made Lucifer out to be the bad guy of the situation. Then it turns out that wasn't the case at all.
Belphie is manipulative. That's just part of his character. And when he has something that he's trying to do, he's going to use that skill to get it.
Some people are still mad at Lucifer for locking Belphie up at all. Some people are obviously quite upset that Belphie killed MC.
But here's what I think.
It isn't that black and white. Aside from the confusing time travel shenanigans, this event is one of the most realistic things that has ever happened in the story.
Belphie shared Lilith's love of humans. Together they wanted to learn more about the human world. It would be easy for him to blame himself for her interest and what ultimately led to her death. But even if he didn't, he saw the way that it tore his entire family apart.
It wasn't just that his dad got mad at his sister and they had an argument or something.
It was that his dad was going to end his sister's existence and in defiance, his older brother rebelled. And there was a war. This was not some squabble. This was siblings fighting siblings.
Belphie watched his brothers and sisters fight and hurt and kill each other and it all came back to Lilith falling in love with a human.
And then he fell with his brothers, cast out of his home, losing everything he's ever known. His brothers are changing and suffering just like he is.
They don't talk about it. They clearly all keep secrets regarding it still, things that don't come out until MC comes along. Which is supposedly thousands of years after the fact (at least in OG). That means Belphie has had all that time to let that trauma fester. To let it twist inside him. To let it morph into the one thought that became most dominant: that humans are bad.
Is that a fair assessment of what happened? No, of course not. But we're dealing with a war traumatized fallen angel that clearly hasn't worked through any of these feelings in thousands of years.
And then he defies Diavolo and Lucifer panics.
Yes, Lucifer should have found a better way of handling it. But remember what happened to him when he defied authority? He is trying his best to protect Belphie. He is trying not to lose another sibling. He is also still traumatized and therefore overreacting out of fear.
And so was Belphie.
Imagine being locked up like that and a human comes along. A human is free among your brothers to do whatever terrible things humans do while you're powerless to stop them. Of course he's going to try to manipulate that human into setting him free. Of course he's then going to eliminate them because humans have been historically bad for his family.
I read this situation as Belphie being both afraid and angry that a human - the thing he's convinced himself was the main cause of his sister's death - has become so close to his brothers and has the access to his family that could cause another rift among them.
You could say that it was Belphie's idea to get MC to have all the pacts, but that isn't really true, either. By the time MC meets Belphie, they already have a pact with two of his brothers. He sees them already starting to worm their way into his family. And he knows that the only way to get out of the attic is to encourage it. He doesn't really have a choice.
Maybe everyone can now call me a Belphie apologist. But I'm always coming at this from an outside fictional standpoint. I'm like listen he's a flawed character and it's actually pretty realistic of him to react this way considering the circumstances.
However, he did kill MC. And that's why my own MC, Ciaran, has issues with Belphie for a while. It's also traumatic to have someone kill you, so it isn't like I'm saying MC should just forget about it or forgive Belphie immediately. I think it probably should have taken a lot more time for MC to trust Belphie again. Certainly that part of the story was a bit rushed.
But they're dealing with lesson format constraints and also it's a silly otome game so I guess fully formed character arcs can't be expected. Especially since we aren't dealing with routes and they have to cram everybody into the same set of lessons.
In the end, I think Belphie is an interesting and complex character. I think there's a lot of space to explore more about this particular aspect of him, but due to the format of the media and the lack of routes, his more in depth character arc just doesn't exist.
I personally have no problem with Belphie as a character, but I also understand why people don't like him. I am always of the opinion that everyone is free to love or hate or have any emotions at all about fictional characters lol. This is just my personal opinion.

Me: omg I love the SoH ROs so much all I wanna do is daydream about them
Me, daydreaming about them: what if they almost died... What if they're bleeding out... What if the MC is bleeding out...
Unfortunately they're all blorbos now, which means I want them to suffer (affectionate)
Which brings the question, in a near death situation, which one of the ROs goes for a dramatic one liner and which one tries to actually say something meaningful?
Blade: he isn't one for drama so I feel like he just wouldn't really think, "i'm dying so this may be my last chance to say something," and would just be like "you... need to get out of here..." (always thinking of the other person), but if he did think he was dying, he'd try to say something meaningful!
Trouble: I don't think Trouble thinks he can be killed for real so he'd probably not even notice the severity of his own wounds, like "I'm fine, stop fussing over me and help [someone else wounded] or get after the enemy or etc.!!!" Not necessarily being nobly selfless like Blade, just sort of not aware how close he is to death and so isn't thinking about it/taking it seriously
Tallys: if she actually thinks she has a real shot of dying, she's staying calm and composed for the other person's sake and is going to fade away with quiet dignity, but she's definitely going to exchange some of the most heartfelt, gut-wrenching, meaningful words anyone's ever heard in their life on her hypothetical deathbed
Shery: I think she'd be sort of panicking and hysterical and trying to think of something meaningful to say, but it'd probably come off as menial, like "Make sure to look after Caine, and... please look after my plants..." Like frantically trying to go down a checklist and sort of being confused and panicky rather than having the wherewithal to actually say what she'd want to say in that kind of situation!
Riel: he'd be extremely calm and would be dishing out instructions on how it's going to go down and what's going to happen next. Basically getting his affairs in order in an efficient and tidy way as he's like literally bleeding out lol, by his composure alone you wouldn't think he was wounded! Basically the exact opposite of Shery, and it would only be in the final few moments of consciousness that he could stop being totally "logical" and he'd get quiet and be like, oh. this could actually be the end. In which case he'd try to sneak in something heartfelt and striking and poignant, but he'd probably have expended all his energy on the first part and would lose consciousness halfway through, so no one would know what he was going to say, and he "wouldn't remember" when he woke up lol
Chase: I think it really depends on the situation... he's been in so many near-death scenarios that he's gotten out of perfectly fine that it's a bit hum-drum for him now, so if it's a simple matter of "oh no i've been shot and i'm bleeding out" he'd probably go for the quip or the dramatic one-liner purely to put the people around him at ease or get them to crack a smile, but if it's like a "oh I'm already dead and there's no way anyone's going to save me except by literal intervention of the gods", maybe he'd say something more meaningful?? It really depends on who's with him and how lucid he is, though!
Red: he'd try to be bracing and good-hearted about it so as to not worry anyone or sabotage himself while he's down (he's of the mindset that if you embrace/accept death too preemptively, you're more likely to die, whereas if you act like it's going to be fine, there's a higher chance that, like, placebo effect will somehow help you pull through), so he'd be like, "Don't worry, haha, I've had worse..." *is bleeding out from a gut shot* "YOU HAVE??" "Well, no, but it hardly hurts..." I think if he genuinely thought it was too late for him, he'd say something meaningful, but it would take a lot for him to get to that point lol
Ayla: I feel like she'd just be pissed and not accepting the gravity of the situation, like, "Why are you all looking at me like that, I'm fine??? Blood replaces itself, you are being dramatic" So she probably wouldn't "waste time" on being sentimental when she can just WILL herself to get better, but if it got to the point where she thinks it's genuinely over, she'd abruptly get scared, emotional, tearful, and she'd probably choke out something vulnerable, like "I don't want to go like this..."
Briony: I think she'd be in shock and would behave similarly to Shery where she would just be saying whatever was racing through her mind, so it could possibly be meaningful and vulnerable, like "I always wanted to... [x]" or it could be somewhat nonsensical or brushing the whole thing off, like "It's just a scratch, I just need to rest, make sure that so-and-so is seen to because I saw that they were limping..." (thinking she's just going to pass out now)
Lavinet: I think she'd be very noble and dignified and graceful in near-death, like she'd arrange herself very beautifully and would be lying there in some infirmary bed with her hair spread out across the pillow as so-and-so clutches her hand and weeps and she murmurs to them to not to worry and tells them "her last words" in a delivery and meaningfulness straight from a dramatic novel
Halek: I think the first time he'd say something so flippant and stupid, like "Holy shit, getting shot is such a pain" -> 😵 (passes out) and if he had the luck of waking up again he'd be like "oh my god those could have been my last words" and he'd take it more seriously the next time and try to think of something more meaningful beforehand lol

Helloo! Do you have any headcanons of what Jack and Sally would act like drunk.? and their reactions seeing one another drunk? I’ve never seen any headcanons for this lol but I still think they would be cute no matter what!
I normally don't make these types of headcanons, but I guess I can give it a try..!
Jack:
He gets real giddy and starts to sing a lot without even realizing it.
Out of the two of them, he tends to be more of the lightweight.
He forgets about some things when he's drunk, like becoming less aware of how tall he is, and will accidentally hit his head more on doorways than he usually would.
He does get some pretty outside-of-the-box ideas for Halloween, so there's that.
It's a striking comparison to his usual dapperness - as he gets a little disheveled during these times.
He's prone to suffering from hangovers and will get awful headaches the next morning.
He still scares extremely well while he's drunk, but has a bit less control over himself and what he does, so he tries to avoid it.
Sally:
She gets even more unsteady with her feet and is guaranteed to trip and/or fall if she doesn't have any assistance.
^ Her stitches come out especially sloppy like this, so she usually has to fix them at a later time.
The giggly type, she finds a lot of things and jokes funny when she's in this state.
She becomes particularly clingy and will hold onto + be close around Jack until she sobers up again.
She passes out when they get home and sleeps really well on these nights when they're tippling.
Her limbs seem to have a mind of their own and will do things she's not aware of, usually being mischievous or sneaky.
More Headcanons:
Jack makes sure to stay extra close to Sally while she's like this so he can help balance her and prevent any accidental falls or detaching limbs.
Sally always provides some remedies for Jack's hangovers and will care for him until he recovers.
They feel extremely comfortable with each other and will drink together sometimes, they tend to talk a lot and have lengthy conversations that don't make a lot of sense.
They kiss and make out a lot while drunk, becoming more physically intimate than they normally would.
Bonus: This doodle from the official crew

have any fic recommendations?
yesssssssss.
I just read Intricate Rituals by zade (AO3)/@racetrackthehiggins because it was recently rec'd to me (E, Complete, 11/11). I asked the people for something very sad but with a happy ending and the people delivered. I ate this up and read it basically in a single sitting if you don't include the time I took to go do my job for two hours lol. This hit every single spot in terms of very heartbreaking relationship dynamic that I was looking for. I love earnest but confused Steve who's just in love but scared to tell it until he literally can't keep it in anymore and a scared Eddie who lashes out and hurts Steve when he's honest and then deeply regrets it. That's what I care abt... morning, noon, and night, I care about her. She is who I want, that is where my loyalties lie. Definitely mind the tags on this one though!
I love love love Trouble Looks Good on You by indelicate (AO3)/@steddielations. (E, WIP, 2/4) I love the dynamic between Eddie and Steve here and I absolutely adore the way they flirt here. 10/10 flirting !! Also, if you love this then definitely check out Melt Me on Your Tongue (E, Complete, 1/1). Steve taking care of Eddie and both of them loving it. Both of these make me go 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫
I really love you looking at me, looking at you by emryses (AO3)/@emryses (M, Complete, 10/10). Very much in the same vein as Intricate Rituals, with a heartbreaking FWB-type relationship where Steve is clearly falling in love and Eddie breaks his heart because he's scared. So good.
Anything by Adure (AO3)/@toburnup, but particularly is your light on? (E, WIP, 12/16) which spans years of Eddie and Steve's relationship and is in progress right now (recently updated!). Another heartbreaking slowburn FWB situation for the boys (are we sensing a theme here yet??). Lots of internalized homophobia/self-policing in this one, so mind that, but so worth the read and so insanely well-written, it makes me jealous to read it. I also really particularly love throw me one (E, Complete, 5/5)!
Looks like we're in for nasty weather (E, Complete, 10/10) by prufrocks (AO3)/@geddyqueer is so so so so so so so so so s ooo cute. So cute!!!! Modern!AU where Steve is training to be a park ranger, Eddie can talk to ghosts, Robin hosts a monster podcast, and there's something spooky in the woods. :) :) :) :) Very fun and did I mention cute?
The Sad Steddie Scenario by @steddierthings. Steve and Eddie suffer a misunderstanding and Eddie is... harsh. I am (very very very) patiently! waiting for more more more of this. I love this. It's so good.
wonderin' where i am, lost without you by @outpastthebrakers was rec'd to me when I asked for something sad but with a happy ending. Definitely hit the spot! Eddie forgets Steve's birthday and has to deal with the consequences. Very sad and then very sweet <3
I loooooooove reputation by theamazingbard (AO3)/@theamazingbard (E, Complete, 2/2). Steve learns that Eddie is perhaps even more promiscuous than himself and doesn't know what to do with that information. I love me some idiots-to-lovers. That is my all-time favorite trope. They can have each other but they're just so stupid. It's very fun.
Please read off the beaten path by pukner (AO3)/@pukner (E, Complete, 6/6). You have to. I don't make the rules, I just enforce them (acab tho). Steve is aware of and secure with his sexuality and recognizes that Eddie is flagging. However!!!!!! Eddie is flagging accidentally. He is not aware of his sexuality!!! And then he is scared and accidentally hurts Steve. Which, as we've established, is my favorite dynamic. And I love the fandom reversal of "Steve is aware, it's Eddie who isn't!!!!!" Sooo good, soooo cute. Steve is just so adorable in this and I love him and cherish him deeply.
I asked for sad fic recs last week and was rec'd Stevie's Time Loop by stevesbipanic (AO3)/@stevesbipanic (M, Complete, 2/2), which I have not had the chance to read yet, but I am confident I'll really enjoy it!!!!
I was also rec'd The Man That I Could Be by ohstars (AO3) (ohstars autocorrected to oysters, stop it I am SCREAMING lol)/@oh-stars (E, Complete, 26/26), which I'm currently reading right now and really enjoying. I'm on chapter 5!!! We could read it together. Book club.
Also, you should read sorry about the blood in your mouth (I wish it was mine) 🙃

Kim’s Redemption : A Rant
I think one of the things that I tend to question and kinda struggle with at times being a KP enjoyer is the fandom’s general tendency to soften certain aspects of Kim’s personality and his actions as a way of redeeming him, either due to the influence of Jeff Satur’s media personality and/or when he’s compared to Vegas and Kinn.
And before I say anything else, this is not a jab towards anyone in particular, it’s just me ranting about my favorite character, so you can go on about your day if you don’t wanna read what I gotta say. 😆
I think part of my struggle comes from the fact that since Kim barely has any scenes in the show that lasts longer than 2-3 mins, I’m also somewhat constricted from the few assumptions I can make in how I interpret him, especially when I’m writing fic (which I am doing atm). Which in and of itself isn’t totally a bad thing, at least I don’t think so; if anything, I think that makes it a lot more fun as a challenge.
For example, if you were to ask me how do I think Porsche would react to finding out Kim had used and manipulated his little brother, I honestly couldn’t tell you. Kim and Chay’s storyline was so cut off from everything else in the beginning that ngl, it was a bit of a whiplash once their narrative finally began to intersect with the main plot, lol I can't really see Porsche getting angry, if nothing else due to his ignorance of Kimchay's situation (which also imo, isn't really a bad thing), but I also don't know if I can see him being lenient towards Kim, because he's also overprotective of Chay.
So in the end, I just choose not to think about it, and work within that framework instead~
But anyway, I digress!
Jeff's media personality and its influence on how Kim is interpreted as a character, that one is pretty much unavoidable, since the two men share the same face and body. XD Some can differentiate between the two much more than others, some tend to meld them as a sort of hybrid and use Kim as the container of a Jeff-esque fantasy, and all in all, that sort of thing is entirely dependent on preference and said fantasy, yknow? So it's just one of those things that I tend to scroll past or move on.
What truly gets me so befuddled though is when Kim is compared to Vegas and Kinn, and between the three of them, somehow Kim is taken to be the least problematic of the three, in terms of how they treated their romantic interest. And I'm not really sure how that conclusion came about, lol. In fact, I even remember reading a meta on here somewhere saying something along the lines of, compared to Vegas and Kinn's actions towards Pete and Porsche respectively, what Kim did to Chay was somewhat lenient and doesn't warrant that much groveling.
And I agree with that, at least in regards to the technical details, because OP was right. Kim never blackmailed Chay, nor assaulted or threatened him; in regards to physical intimacy, Kim never touched Chay in a way that was non-consensual.
But be that as it may, that way of thinking comes from the audience's POV, not Chay as a character.
And it really doesn't, right?
Chay doesn't know--or at the very least, we have no confirmation he's aware--the extent of what Porsche suffered through during the beginnings of his relationship with Kinn; he knows they're together, but I highly doubt Porsche told Chay he was pretty much sexually assaulted that first time. He REALLY doesn't know what's involved in VegasPete's relationship, much less their BDSM proclivities. Lol XD
In other words, Chay's actions and feelings post break-up with Kim (as well as the subsequent reconciliation) are and would be entirely based on his own experience, as they should, not based on the assumption that, when compared to Porsche and Pete's experiences with their respective Theerapanyakul, he got off lightly.
I think personally, something that often tends to be forgotten when Kim is made a lot more soft uWu babygirl than (imo) he really is is the fact that what Chay went through emotionally is, in and of itself, also a form of trauma. Sure, Chay was never physically hurt by Kim, but I don't think the emotional damage Kim dealt him is something that should be taken just for granted either.
There's a reason why this boy spiraled right after that devastating break up, and why he cried out the way he did. So how you interpret and imagine what Chay's next course of action would be if/when forgiving Kim is entirely up to you, including how he would respond and deal with the emotional trauma of that break-up. That scenario would come about based on your own interpretation of the show, your own preferences, and frankly, your own beliefs and life experience. If you think Chay is the type that needs some groveling/begging from Kim in order to heal, go for it, that's completely valid; if you think he can get over it easily enough, that's valid too.
It goes without saying, but just in case~
I stand by what I said before that although Kim has not physically harmed Chay in the way Kinn and Vegas has with Porsche and Pete, he's just as capable of doing that as his brother and cousin. And honestly, that's what makes Kim and the rest of the characters such an awesome bunch to me; a character doesn't have to be morally good in order to be a good character, yknow? Besides, I think that's what makes all three love stories strong enough to stand on their own: these Theerapanyakul men can love fiercely, but they can and have hurt and manipulated the people they love just as fiercely.
The physical and emotional wounds Porsche, Porchay, and Pete have suffered in varying degrees is incomparable, because by doing that in the first place, the characters' agency in turn is taken away.
And don't get me wrong, if you genuinely see Kim as a soft, uWu babygirl because that's how you HC him, go for it and more power to you! XD But if you HC him as being soft, uWu babygirl because he never physically assaulted Chay when you compare his actions to the shit Vegas and Kinn did, well...more power to you too, although I imagine this rant probably feels like a personal attack. Sorry about that~
But for my own interpretation (and limitation I admit, as well as it not being my preference in general; Kim can be soft for Chay and his family, but otherwise, there's a reason Korn doesn't trust him and in the books, is secretly made the true heir), I guess the reason I'm not inclined to see Kim as having a lot of the softer edges fanon!Kim has to the point that it's made part of his overall personality, is because, for me, it almost feels like I would be trivializing Chay's emotional trauma, just so they can quickly get together again and share in the fluff and puff, yknow? Almost like trying to resist the urge to think, "in order for Chay to be able to handle Kim, you gotta soften him up a little bit."
Because then I would be doing a disservice to Chay's character, who imo is more than capable of handling Kim's problematic tendencies. This boy had no problem blocking Kim's ass and pulling away from him, he can handle himself~
And just so we're clear, I'm not saying those fans who do see Kim as a soft, uWu boy with stunted emotions is doing just that, not at all. Just that for me personally, that's kinda the mental block in my noggin. XD Besides that, I'm just a sucker for angst, man.
But meh, at the end of the day, to each their own, yknow? XD That's what makes fandom so much fun, you can pick and choose what you want to engage with.
As an artist / fic writer, I'm just grateful I can feed myself the food I want to see~ Hehe!

fic writer meme
Thank you @smilebackwards for tagging me!
1. How many works do you have on Ao3? 33
2. What's your total Ao3 word count? 1,855,326 per my stats page - it's kind of wild!
3. What fandoms do you write for? My current two mains are Shadowhunters and Fast and Furious. I have in the past posted stories for Daredevil, Merlin, Harry Potter, Torchwood, The Defenders, Sherlock, Four Brothers and Suits. I have other fandoms I've started fics in but not finished/posted
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos? Day Forty Seven [7055] Set Free [4285] Marked in Trust [4132] Listen [3934] Four Centuries and Also Nineteen Years [3876]
5. Do you respond to comments? I respond to all comments while the story is in progress and then for probably a couple of months after it ends before I stop. Unless someone asks a specific question, then I always respond. I wish I could do all of them ever but life makes it hard.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? I almost answered none of them before I remembered Addicted, which is about Brian and Dom hooking up during the first movie which I mostly wrote to prove to myself I could do smut. I'm pretty sure it ends with Brian realizing Mia (who he's supposed to be maybe getting together with as per the movie) heard them do that and Dom knew she would and from there Brian understanding that they're imploding even without him and the FBI.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Literally all the others, lol. I'm a happy ending girlie.
8. Do you get hate on fics? Yes, in the Shadowhunters fandom if I write Jace as a good parabatai. Occasionally for if I write Isabelle as a good sister or Clary as not a total piece of shit. Also sometimes if I write Alec in a way that suggests maybe Magnus isn't the greatest in the world who has suffered more than Alec ever will.
9. Do you write smut? Yes but I generally prefer the fade to black approach
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you have written? I've never written a crossover.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not that I'm aware of I don't think. I don't even know if I would want to know, like that would consume me in the worst way
12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Yes, but not as Marchling. All of the comments were telling me that the translator was changing things and it was a bad translation and the person doing it was getting really weird. It was just like a nightmare kind of so now I request no one translate my fics. I'm sure someone would do it better and I'm just being all oversensitive because I got burned once but I'd rather just not go down that road again.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Yes, but also not as Marchling.
14. What's your all time favorite ship? I honestly don't think I have one, it really depends on my mood.
15. What is a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? Oh absolutely. I have a couple of Shadowhunters stories that I doubt will ever be finished because they just don't want to be written I think. I love the ideas but the ideas don't love me
16. What are your writing strengths? I think I write dialogue well. I try to make sure that I include some sort of realistic recovery even if the story is shorter. I like to experiment with formatting to help tell the story and I think it's generally effective
17. What are your writing weaknesses? I can't write drabbles. I am not good at action scenes. I don't do enough description.
18. Thoughts of writing dialogue in another language in fics? I've been corrected in the comments more than once, lol. I like to do the dialogue in another language but write the English in italics so even if I'm wrong everyone still knows what it was meant to be.
19. First fandom you wrote for? I was like 11 or 12 and I posted my first two stories at the same time. One for a fandom I won't name because they're still out there and it's small enough you could find them and I'd rather die. The other for Angel the TV series. I got more comments on the other fandom one and so I was embarrassed that the Angel one got way less and I deleted it lmao. Did I mention I was in middle school?
20. Favorite fic you have written? I am so proud of so many of my stories but I think the Marked in Trust series is always going to be just the tiniest bit extra special in my heart.

Okay so I generally believe that what Yusuke and Keiko have is real and meaningful and I ship them, because they're both weird and also arospec, in a way where they both decided to have romantic feelings about each other and called it day and for some reason that actually worked
But Yusuke is also a raging bisexual and is fully aware of that, so he has 100% had gay thoughts about all of his teammates but especially Kuwabara, which he masks by making fun of him because unlike Kurama and Hiei, he's known this guy for years and he's both straight and oblivious. Admitting to thinking he's hot would put him firmly in loser territory, because having years to put the moves on a guy and coming out the other side with the guy having zero interest in you that way is just embarrassing. Like, he's obsessed with you and still isn't into you like that. Hasn't even questioned his sexuality once in relation to you. Bad. Awful. That brief moment where Kuwabara got flustered by Kurama because he looked like a cute girl haunts Yusuke.
Keiko has to put up with this rant once a month and doesn't really get it because she has like. Negative interest in how hot people are. The hottest man alive in accordance with her preferences would mean nothing to her. But she's fine with it because Yusuke deserves to suffer sometimes lol

Gimme any of your King thoughts you have rn
Good heavens
Uhhh I'll just list a bunch of random thoughts I have that I hope are fresh and not repeated a thousand times over lol
I imagine Spade King suffers from something called separation anxiety disorder, or SAD. If he doesn't have SAD specifically, then he at least has some general anxiety. There are a few parts to this, mostly involving theorizing and speculation. First, we have no idea what happened to Spade King's parents, though I headcannon that said parents passed away when their son was still fairly young. Regardless whether the parent/child relationship was healthy or not, they were still separated somehow. The same goes for Queen; we don't know the specifics of their relationship--though it likely was far from perfect, given how they're divorced--but they were separated regardless. I feel like this is most important with Lancer, as it's the one person Spade King likely holds in high enough regard. Given how the relationship between them is a bit...messy, with characters like Susie only making it worse, there's bound to be some anxiety from that. This is without mentioning how Spade King's presumed first interaction with Lightners ended abhorrently. I feel like all of this adds up to there being at least some anxiety in Spade King, perhaps it's mostly contained within him at the moment, even if he does lash out at times. This was a long one lol, but I think it's an important idea and likely has some footing.
Don't ask me why but I headcannon Spade King as having some Scandinavian accent, ofc we don't have an actual voice for him but I think a Scandinavian accent would fit him lol.
I like to think Spade King always had--and still has--a very wild and active imagination! I imagine he would daydream a ton, often to escape the likely not-so-pleasing reality he found himself in. Maybe he even wrote some of those said daydreams down when he was younger, but has since given it up.
I have the idea of Spade King--and the other overthrown kings by extension--knowing Jevil & Seam since he was a child. It's not entirely unlikely this is the case, as both Seam & Jevil are likely two of the oldest Darkners we know so far. We can only speculate, though I bet younger Spade King saw Jevil & Seam perform for the then-current monarchs, whoever they may be. Maybe Spade King found it entertaining, or maybe he wished he was doing anything else lol, who knows.
Another headcannon, I think Spade King is generally suspicious of Rouxls Kaard. There is some merit to this idea: first, Rouxls Kaard seems a bit out-of-place amongst the other Chapter 1 Darkners. Even if he fits the general theme of cards/puzzles/whatever, he still stands out. I imagine his introduction to then-Card Kingdom is akin to Sans & Papyrus from Undertale, what with them randomly popping into existence one day with no given explanation. Second, the idea of Rouxls being the "Duke of Puzzles" despite his much-blatant incompetence is a bit, well, odd. There were literally Darkners in that very area who specialized in puzzles, so why replace them with someone who seems horribly unfit for the job? See, I think there's a lot more to Rouxls, a lot more potential, and he's attempting to hide it by acting incompetent. That, or he genuinely doesn't know how to grapple with his large amount of power. Either way, I suspect Spade King was, and still is, aware of this to a degree. Perhaps he was trying to get Rouxls to snap out of it, or wanting to see how the notorious Duke would thrive in a position of authority. Who knows! It's just a theory I have.
Bit of a random thing, but if there was any Darkner from Chapter 2 who would have a decent chance at getting along with Spade King, it would be Swatch. First, Swatch runs a café. If Spade King does love to cook/bake, which is what I and clearly others think, that's already a good start. Second, Swatch has a very laid-back, professional, and overall "proper" personality. I think that sort of personality would go well with Spade King's--I doubt Swatch would get on his nerves often, if at all. I could probably think of more things, but still! I can see Swatch & Spade King being decent buddies, or at least tolerating each other, which is already impressive for Spade King lol. Though Swatch being loyal to Queen is a stumbling block now that I think about it, but hey, everything else works! Yaaay...lol.
This one's a bit out there and has nothing to back it up, but I like the idea of Spade King having resided in what is now Lancer's room when he was a child. Room inheritance! I guess you could say this works by process of elimination given what we know about Card Castle's layout, though it's possible said layout was different in the past. I dunno, I just think it's a sweet idea!
Whelp that's it lol, that's all my scatterbrained mind can think of for this post. It's difficult to think of things to say without being given proper guidelines lol but I have something!

shintaro and kanos toxic relationship can be something so deeply appealing because of how horrible they are for each other. like. kano having to analyze his actual emotions towards shintaro and shintaro also finally giving in to the im bisexual crisis and also dude youre aware thats your dead girlfriend’s little brother right? also something something kano getting upset with shintaro and using his eye powers to turn into ayano just to hurt him. theyre unhealthy. they make me absolutely insane ok sorry if this was unintelligible in ur inbox lmao
RIGHT but ALSO IT COULD EVENTUALLY TURN INTO SOMETHING HEALTHY... like ofc a lot of clownery has to go on before and that clownery is so so so so so so much fun to explore. but i do think they're capable of getting to a point of a peaceful relationship despite it involves mutual compliance/resignation with both each other and themselves that leads to WOW eventual happiness and contentment with each other. it gets to a point where they aren't together out of their own gratification but bc they LIKE EACH OTHER AS PEOPLE AND YEAH THEY ALWAYS DID BUT THEY NEVER LIKED EACH OTHER MORE THAN THEY RESENTED EACH OTHER BUT NOW THEY DONT RESENT IT THEY JUST LIKE EACH OTHER AND THATS ENOUGH(holds head) bc "well i guess we deserve each other" and it is still sad but...not so much?? idk if that makes sense. but like... Healthy peaceful kanoshin (explodes) like they're arguing and getting all on each other's faces and the Dan's like can u stop fighting and theyre like ?? that's just how we talk though we arent fighting? and they rly arent. ppl who have never been in a loving relationship (not necessarily romantic by the way) with this dynamic wont understand but it IS possible. *shakes you*
idk ive read some stuff where they're so tooth rottingly sweet to each other and i just can't see it💔 i think they can have rare tender moments ofc and they DO but then both act super awkward despite they're in a relationship LOL like they can have 1 tender moment then turn around and just sit there holding hands and awkwardly scrolling on their phones idk idk idk (goes crazy) or they just tease each other abt it or whatever. i think they both rather show affection physically rather than verbally?? i think kanos super touchy. shintaros like do u have to sit here (shot of the completely empty couch aside from shintaro sitting on the edge and kano pressed right beside him) and kano's like wdym. kano's always with an arm around him even if hes shorter. hehe. its so normal shintaro gets used to it so kano just casually throws himself on his lap and shintaro's just like lifting his arms to give him space and never looks away from his phone *destroys all my pillows shaking them like a dog*
not me getting into love language territory. sorry. whatever. idk what all of them even are i think there is 5 but kanoshin is NOT words of affirmation. i think both want them but can't handle hearing it. like yeah they flirt (it IS cringe) but man idk i just cant imagine them being super outwardly sweet to each other... like their flirting is super cringe its the oh REAAAALLY?? kind of flirting not HEHE... kind. DO U UNDERSTAND WHAT IM SAYING OR AM I INSANE
sorry u sent an ask abt toxic kanoshin and i answered with fluff THATS NOT TO SAY UR WRONG. UR TOTALLY RIGHT. BUT I THINK THEY CAN GET TO A GOOD POINT TOGETHER AFTER A LONG CIRCUS MOMENT i just felt bad i kept using them as punching bags everytime i talked abt them... and they are both so capable of love. they are so capable of love that is why they suffer like they do(holds head) they deserve to flirt and be silly i think. tender kanoshin *world explosion*
BTW u mentioned dead ayano. dont get me started on dead or alive ayano for str thats another subject (quickly: dead ayano is a more meaningful end but AYANO I LOVE YOU so i always keep her alive in my post str stuff) kanoshin can work even if ayano lives‼️‼️‼️ ALSO COME ON THAT MAKES IT SO MUCH FUNNIER

I think the MCU is pushing the McDonald's x Loki series thing so hard because tv show and movie makers have learned that nostalgia, specifically 1980s nostalgia, tugs on everyone's hearts, whether they were even alive then or not. They really want Sylvie's sob story to tug on our hearts. They really want her to take the place of Loki in our hearts. And I don't think that's happened so far. So it's like they're counting on something as commonplace as McDonald's, something we've all experienced at some point in our lives, going to McDonald's with friends and family, to be the thread that binds Sylvie to our our hearts, I guess. As if she were really one of us and her wants and needs are as humble and as simple as ours is, but has been deprived of her whole life. Not that McDonald's would've ever played a part in her life if her life had not been interrupted, but hey, that's the power of nostalgia, and they're clearly counting on it to help Sylvie along this time!
And it is funny, especially since they basically made a public announcement that the whole McDonald's thing would NOT be played for laughs, just in case we weren't sure, lol! It's funny and also really sad. The way they're treating Loki is not funny at all, but rather pathetic. They're just making sport of him at this point, but they want to make sure we're still laughing at him but not at Sylvie.
And they're doing such a good job of it too. Right now... who is Loki? I hate to admit this but it's true... I have no freaking idea. He used to be this wildly intelligent strategist capable of fooling gods and kings but now he doesn't know how to do anything. He's been so watered down to lift her up that if she's not written well + he's been nerfed to accommodate her... what's the point in watching the series at all?
Sure, the TVA and the timelines and Kang and McDonald's now and whatever else they have to jam into the whole thing to try and make it less empty.
Maybe they read our comments about NWH being all about nostalgia and they thought that was the way to go in future instalments, except they forgot NWH only worked thanks to Raimi and Webb's movies. Remove that and the movie is not good. It's empty. Why the hell does Peter trust villains he doesn't know, how is he such an idiot to take them out of the Sanctum, etc etc.
That nostalgia works in the GoTG movies only because Gunn is all about characters first, story second. The songs, the 80's gadgets... Gunn imbues them with meaning to the point where you're watching a Celestial smashing a Walkman... and you cry! Because it matters! We've seen Quill suffering, we were with him in that hospital room, we've seen him fight tooth and nail, even risk his own life, to retrieve that thing. It matters to him -> we care about him -> we love that freaking Walkman.
Marvel keeps trying to emulate the GoTG except their first attempt at doing so was with Ragnarok, when they hired someone who didn't care at all about the characters... and now with Loki they want more nostalgia but it's through a fast-food joint completely devoid of soul or any personal connection to the characters in the series.
So, it doesn't work. And I'm aware I'm saying this roughly a month before the series is released and I could be wrong... but I highly doubt it. I don't see how they could twist the story to make McDonald's relevant to Loki or Sylvie's stories.

JUST GOT BACK FROM THE FNAF MOVIE
SPOILERS AND SCREAMING UNDER THE CUT
FIRST OF ALL i just wanna take a second to say the absolute JOY and UNFILTERED SEROTONIN i felt when the living tombstone's fnaf 1 song started playing during the credits is a high i will ride for the rest of my life. let ALONE the fact that almost everyone in the theater immediately started singing along. everyone in that theater i love you.
second of all i cannot fucking believe scott had the fucking AUDACITY to JUMPSCARE us with BALLOON BOY of ALL fucking wretched little bitches. not once, not twice, THREE FUCKING TIMES.
so angry. well played, scott.
i was so happy we got brief cameos from matpat AND coryxkenshin! i was so happy for cory especially. was really hoping for a dawko cameo too, but hopefully we'll get one next time!
i also wanna mention that i never would've guessed that we'd get a scene of the animatronics behaving like kids!!! it was SO cute to see them play with abby and be silly, i never knew i needed that so badly until now. i'm not joking, literally half of my theater went "awwwww..." when abby drew the heart and gave it to bonnie, and then bonnie turned to show it to the others 🥺 i wanna hug them all so badly now... they're so CUTE. they're my babies now if mike won't go back I WILL
i'm sure this makes me a terrible person, but one of the things i was hoping so desperately for was that we would get to WATCH WILLIAM DIE, and i am SO happy that they made it as brutal and painful as possible. the satisfaction i felt as the animatronics dragged a squirming, slowly dying william away to suffer and the kids getting their revenge was worth the 8 year wait. i also now understand why matthew lillard was like "can we even show this" LMAO that shit was brutal and i'm almost shocked they kept it in while keeping a pg-13 rating.
i love that they kept foxy singing to himself, and i KNEW the second that dude stepped into the closet bonnie would be there and i was ECSTATIC when he flipped on the light and i was right. predictable sure but who cares honestly, it was amazing!
i also can't believe sparky really WAS in parts and service. i'm so fucking done with you, scott. fucking sparky. at least i ASSUME that's who the dog character was, unless it was a reference to fetch, which would be way less cool.
will say i was fucking THROWN by vanessa being william's daughter. um scuse me? what about elizabeth? is she not canon to the movies? guess we'll find out lol. i was also really hoping we would've at least gotten a HINT of the puppet, but i guess the puppet being in the fnaf 1 location the whole time really wouldn't work in this scenario. seeing as she was supposed to be the only one truly aware, it definitely wouldn't have worked as well. hope we see her next time!
overall i give the movie a 9.5/10! my only complaint is i feel like there wasn't QUITE enough scary stuff. another ten or so minutes of horror would've done wonders, i think. this is a day one dvd buy for sure! can't wait to see what extra features the dvd will come with, and i hope it comes with commentary <3

How, what's the best word for it? Confused, yeah let's go with that
How confused would be the clergymen with a monster, that has barely any human heritage, who treats humans with kindness and respect. Who would be absolutely disgusted with what the clergy does?
Although I guess that's Breg already.
[So essentially, a reaction to Breg? Sure.]
How they view Breg's demeanor towards humans
Morell will never really respect humans and shares no particular opinion on the monsters who are especially fond of them. They're exceptionally good prey however, no one can convince him otherwise. From what he's been told of breeders, it's odd that they'd even pay any mind to humans at all. Aren't they incompatible or something? Breg just twists his head is knots, but it'll be fine as long as the guy doesn't try to get in the way of his job.
Gallon finds it so amusing. The guy treats humans like they're innocent, wonderful little creatures. Clever as he is, Gallon reads into Breg's demeanor enough to know something's amiss in his thought process. Something must have happened to have him behave this way. Tsk tsk. It's an erroneous form of thought, humans are usually not to be trusted at all, Breg might learn that soon enough.
Vinnel might make it a game out of scandalizing the breeder. Uhuhu- What an idiot! Awwwe, someone's messing with the precious little meat bags, what a shame... He genuinely thinks Breg needs a wake up call, but wouldn't it be funnier to make him hurt humans by feeding him misleading information? Oh yeah, humans love it when you twist their arm like this, just try it!
Nebul knows better. Breg doesn't care for humans, he cares for an ideal version of them he's actively projecting. It's very rich to have the breeder express disgust, when really, he'd hardly any better himself. Does he actually respect them or does he coo at the like a lunatic at a pet store? Him and the wraith are not so different after all... That being said, Breg stinks of unresolved trauma and Nebul really wants to poke around in his brain.
Santi finds it really odd that, again, a breeding-oriented monster, would grow enamored with a race that he can't impregnate. It's fascinating, if not a bit funny. He feels a small degree of empathy for the monster, since he's not really that gung-ho on torture, but he also doesn't really care about human suffering. Or most suffering. He's from Hell, after all. Part of him thinks Breg is really juvenile in that aspect.
Grimbly is mildly put off by Breg. And, as such, he's going to be a manipulative little snake and say he doesn't hurt anyone. How could he? He's just a tiny little monster, can't you see? He's just a waiter! He definitely laughs about Breg fanboying over humans behind the breeder's back, it's ridiculous how delusional the breeder is.
Patches, putting aside his fervent desire to study a race so close to the siadar, would expend a bit of effort trying to temper Breg's human mania. He was once human before. Humans killed him, Breg. He was put on a guillotine for stepping out of line and learning things he shouldn't. Humans aren't fair or perfect and innocent, they're just as rotten as anybody else, the breeder is a total fool to think otherwise. Cracking that illusion could do more harm than good however, the dullahan is aware of such.
Fank-e also loves humans, so he can relate to Breg on that. They're just neat, right? Though, there's so many of them, lol who cares if his coworkers mess with a few? Come on Breg, there's so many humans out there, don't be selfish! >:[
Sybastian regards Breg in the same way he would a madman, with great distance and watchful eyes. The human fetish is odd, they're clearly meant to be prey, it makes no sense to defy instincts and revere them. For no reason. That's not what he's most concerned about however, the mimic can scent the constant anxiety wafting off this monster, like a barely-controlled frothing dog, and he does not enjoy it at all.
Ludwig thinks it's definitely anomalous of Breg to have such a rose-tinted lens, but ultimately, it's harmless. And that's a lot better than whatever's going on inside The Clergy's walls. In fact, to make up for the atrocities of this establishment, the world needs a lot more monsters like the breeder. Lud will actively encourage Breg's view on humanity and tell him to keep staying far, far away from The Clergy. It's poison.
Belo's not built to pass judgement here. Lessers are creations. What his god does with lessers is correct and allowed, therefore, what his coworkers, operating under Krulu, do with humans is not to be reprimanded either. He doesn't care about Breg's "disgust" towards what is done here, and finds it insulting that he would question the siadar. Clearly, this one is just as much of a filthy good for nothing heretical as the rest of the populous these days...
Krulu is both furious and very intrigued. Breeders are a type of monster he wishes to examine and pick apart further, mostly due to their seemingly unexplained ability to retain siadar genome throughout ages, their cross-species reproduction is fascinating! To see Breg waste it all on lessers, the horrifically flawed poster children of his kin, is enraging in indescribable ways. Breg better stay far away, because he'll never be the same if Krulu ever gets their charred claws on him...

33 for hellpair :)
Hello Bees!! Of course :3 You chose a fun one!
Questions here!
33 - What kind of presents do they get each other? Do they only do it on special occasions?
Minovae
As Mino travels a lot for her diplomatic work post-Crusade, she likes to get Regill local goods from the various places she goes that are things she knows he uses: paper-goods, quills, inks, sometimes a unique regional weapon as he keeps a vested interest in weaponry (especially if it's complicated or requires a lot of skill to master), medicines or potions, etc. Anything he might personally use or anything he wants to be aware of to better stock the Citadel and their knights or to better keep tabs on the capabilities of their potential allies or enemies. Some of it falls into 'luxury'/'pleasure' goods - like the inks and paper goods - while some is more business related. Regardless, she herself sees it as a gift to bring home from her travels!
She also brings him back coffee grounds or beans if they're available wherever she has to go, as coffee is his one singular vice. She herself loves to visit cafes and restaurants where she goes, and she's not shy about asking the owners if she can purchase some of their raw coffee product to bring back for him so they can 'share' over it, since he wasn't there to (and also doesn't really much enjoy going to such places - he does for her sake).
Lastly, she keeps an eye out on her travels for unique books suiting his interests: philosophical treatises, deconstructions of law and ethics, strategy and war manuals, etc. Especially if they're from beyond the Inner Sea Region, she'll make sure to grab it to bring home to him as he has an insatiable curiosity for such things. Reading how other cultures and nations formulate their own law and govern themselves is a personal interest of his - even if he actively disagrees with what he reads. He's also invested in how our cultures conduct war and what fighting techniques they've developed, whether to build his own repertoire or to devise countermeasures should he ever come to battle with another that wields them.
AND! ALMOST FORGOT!
Strategy games! Mino can only suffer playing so much chess with him! Any strategy game she finds they've never played before she will pick up without question to give them something new to do when they have a rare moment they can actually do such things, lol.
She's pretty much always looking out for things to get him that she knows he actively uses or appreciates.
Regill
Not a conscious gift-giver in the day-to-day really so much as he just seeks out or purchases things he knows she would like or needs or could use. He doesn't actively see it as a gift or nice thing to do so much as just... something he does. It's not a big or grand gesture, but a casual "here, use this" or "this should help with that problem you mentioned." Armor polish, replacement grips for her weapons, comfortable and practical travel gear or tools, etc.
The biggest gifts have been during the tail end of the Crusade right after she'd finished recovering from her soul shattering upon returning from the Abyss and Ssila'meshnik's "inheritance." Her armor had been ruined with no chance of repair, and he'd worked with Garms to secure the materials and artisans needed to forge her a new set... with some extra additions. Prohibitively expensive but with so many worries about her health going forward, knowing they were going up against actual Demon Lords for real from then on and she needed a shield to withstand them, he used all of his personal funds and called in every favor he could to secure her an orichalcum shield (it's roughly 100,000 GP in 1e terms -> 14K in 2e). Even still, pretty much everyone chipped in where they could to cover both that shield and her new adamantine full-plate once his plans were discovered; a shield made out of time-bending metal that would repair itself and 'undo' damage instantly? An easy purchase for their recovering Commander, exorbitant price or no (and Regill's pride or no, too).
Beyond all that, his usual gifts when he actually is giving a gift are for special occasions: their anniversary and her birthday and such. She likes dark liquors, which he'll order in a high-quality reserve bottle for them to share in private. Other gifts he might think of would be luxury brushes and grooming tools for her feathers and scales, high quality strings and wax and oil for her instruments, an extra warm and soft scarf and gloves for when winter comes or she has to travel some place cold :)

Hope you don't mind me whamming you with Multiple Characters for the ask meme, but if you have received other asks covering some of these then that would lessen it a bit, right??? XD Alright: Cap + 16, Sam + 18, and 32 for THREE different characters: Oogway, Soothsayer and Krupp. We can also throw in Cap as a fourth for good measure. Optional bonus questions: Soothsayer + 29, and Horton + 25. Okay we're done, hope that wasn't too much XD. They're fun questions I got curious ahaha
honest favorite character asks
16. Have you ever cried when thinking about this character? Genuinely? (captain)
is it bad if i say no? emotional anguish, yes, but i don't think i've genuinely physically tears-on-my-face cried. in fairness, a lot of the emotional anguish comes from me putting him through the Horrors (tm).
its kind of like tickling yourself-- you already know you're doing it, so you don't laugh. its the same principle (ha) here. i know what i'm putting captain through and sticky notes au was never meant to be a tragedy so much as a long-form character exploration. its probably why i feel confused about people considering this au is dark,
18. Do you prefer to see this character suffer or know peace? Angst or comfort? Both? (sam)
on the one hand i think sam deserves the stability he never got growing up with no mom/as a thief. i think him being the Weird Uncle to EB and her new little brother would be really sweet, considering his orphaned past. the man would spoil them so badly.
plus him and pam need to catch up and figure out how to be a mother and son together in less stressful times (i know there's an episode that speedruns that but again. that still had the underlying threat of the whole moo-lacka-moo conflict)
on the other hand, i think sam has one more in him to go through the Seussian Horrors. they figure out their world is on a speck of dust and have to catch horton's attention but he's been captured by the circus mcgurkus? a season that pays homage to seuss' dark paintings? the cat in the hat is there? i don't know man
32. If you could make this character a meal, what would you make them? (oogway, soothsayer, krupp, cap)
ok, here's the thing. i am not adept in the kitchen, but lets also add the additional caveat that this is a scenario in which i can cook and also have the resources for this theoretical scenario.
additionally, the food mentioned would still have to be food i'm aware of prior to this, so i just can't go completely out of pocket in this theoretical scenario.
oogway: some sort of waffle (vegan) and a fruit smoothie/juice.
i don't think oogway eats... like, a lot. comes with the territory of meditating (and tortoise metabolism). so something with a smaller portion may be more appropriate-- it'd still be a lot by his standards, lol.
really my thought process starts and ends with i think giving him a breakfast food would be nice. could even arrange some fruits around to make the waffle look like a little turtle.
(i'm specifying vegan here because eating things with milk or eggs/meat is probably weird or just straight up taboo in the kfp-verse. note also applies to soothsayer too.)
soothsayer: some kind of vegan tacos (spicy), espresso.
ok i imagine her usually eating fancy a lot of the time anyway, so something much more casual then? i imagine it being a bit overstuffed with a soft shell-- she tries eating it and part of the insides fall onto the plate on the other side, that sort of thing. its spicy because i think she'd like spicy food.
espresso because. i think she needs it.
krupp: one (1) tv dinner. Some Sort Of Soup (butternut?) and a slice of brownie.
ok, for real, he's the one that NEEDS something homecooked out of all these characters. something filling, but easy to have a lot of and have leftovers of for in the oncoming week. soup, of course is the obvious answer. my butternut squash soup bias is coming through, but really any thicker soup will do. he'd be able to customize it a bit further as he needs to with salt/pepper/green onions and maybe grab some crackers if he's so inclined.
my brownie bias is also coming through. it won't be as sweet, but its still pretty rich. again, ease of leftovers is a priority here as you an just make a tray of it, cut it into portions and put it in the freezer. imo, it tastes better like that because now its just ultra dense and fudge-y and cold.
cap: something like palabok? (though, with substitutions to the shrimp and pork if that's the case) and halo-halo.
the name of the game here is novelty and having him try something new-- stuff that wasn't mentioned by the comics or his sidekicks or could be offered by the aforementioned. i've mentioned things like sushi and i've always thought he'd enjoy tiramisu here and here, but in terms of making i was thinking some sort of noodle? my brain keeps going back to palabok (i think he'd appreciate how bright orange it can get), but that's not kosher hence the point about substitution.
halo-halo is fun and colorful. lots of textures. some of the elements separately are familiar (the shaved ice and the gelatin) but the stuff he'd associate with more savory food (beans and corn) would be a surprise.
29. Do you affectionately bully this character? (soothsayer)
no, that's what oogway is for /j
25. What kind of fan-fiction do you read about this character? If you don’t read fan-fics about them, why not? (horton)
i don't because there isn't a lot?
ok i may be exaggerating, there has to be some fanfics that popped up as a result of the 2008 movie, but frankly i don't feel like trawling through what i can only assume is an overabundance of jo-jo fics. and the version of horton in my head is so specific on account of picking and choosing parts of everything he's been in, so i feel like nothing will satisfy me.
that being said, i do remember a story-- not a fic, but a fancomic set post-canon to the events of 2008, where the who scientist lady made a device to make the mayor big enough to be visible and actually interact with horton. cue shennanigans once he realizes that he doesn't have the creature comforts of whoville on account of being in the middle of a jungle. and also there's a jaguar oc who wants to eat the mayor. it was cool! at least kid me thought so.

Also Z and Darnell went to Petra when she filmed the first Dune back in 2019 (Darnell posted a pic after they got back), so they were well aware of the environment there. They were also seen at a Dead Sea Resort last weekend which also attracts a lot of tourists and the person that spotted them mentioned their bodyguards too. I just think that after the events of Paris it's smart for Tom to have his own bodyguard when going to a place that has a lot of tourists or is very crowded. After Z left Paris, he had to deal with the aggressive Paris stalkers by himself and they dangerously followed his cab on scooters. Then when he returned to London at midnight he had to encounter yet another group of "fans". Given what Tom has shared about his anxieties about being mobbed by strangers it's smart that he travels with his trusted bodyguard when going to crowded places or places he doesn't know. It's unfortunately part of the price of fame
No I totally agree with you that it's best that they travel with a bodyguard when they're in areas that are heavily crowded and touristy. It's for their safety. They're extremely famous, and there are some nutjobs out here. 🥴
And I too agree that Tom has probably developed slight anxiety over too many fans/crowds invading his personal space. I just think that over the years it's taken a bit of a toll on him. 🥺😔
I saw the way he freaked out when that fan tried to touch him to take a picture with him. He was NOT having it lol 😆
I think some days are better than others, but yea, I do get the feeling that he may suffer from some form of anxiety.
I'm glad when Z is there because she can keep him calm and level-headed. 😊 She herself has said she's like a grandma to everyone lol 😆, so I just think she has a very nurturing "old soul" side to her that makes her very "aunti-ish" with everyone she meets. Even her friends and ppl she's worked with all say this about her lol.
But yea... that chase in Paris was CRAZY!! 🥴 Those fans were nuts! 🥴😤 It's not worth it guys.... Look at what happened to princess Diana (ironically) in Paris. 😭
It's JUST not worth you endangering a celebrity's life, or your OWN life trying to chase them down and get a picture. 🥴
I think that's why Tom stopped and just took a photo with them, cuz that was very dangerous what they were doing, and they could have gotten themselves killed or someone else. 😔
