We talked exclusively with the British star who went from being a teenage pop idol to a professional soccer player, and finally to consolidating his own more mature and rocking sound. In 2022, Louis Tomlinson stepped on Chile for the first time alone to present his debut album "Walls". A bet that exceeded any expectation, because the madness was such that the British, that the former One Direction filled the Movistar Arena three times.

But that was not all, his fans had prepared a surprise for him that, as he confessed to La Cuarta, gave him "goosebumps." In 2013, just when the One Direction world tour that brought them to Chile was announced with two concerts at the National Stadium, Louis signed a contract with the League TwoDoncaster Rovers team, and only in 2017, two years after the group took an indefinite break, he was able to debut as a substitute in a match witnessed by more than five thousand fans.

“It's really an honor to be in the club where I spent most of my childhood," he wrote at the time on his Twitter account. However, the boy's dream stagnated when in 2020 and in the middle of the pandemic, he decided to launch himself as a soloist. All of his former bandmates had done it; it was his time.

Thus Louis - whom we recognize with nostalgia, familiarity, and a psychological interest - became one of the most important artists of his generation, adding milestones such as a billion streams on Spotify, numerous awards and being in the Guinness World Records book for breaking the record for the most watched live broadcast concert of a male soloist.

"I FEEL VERY GRATEFUL TO HAVE THAT LOVE HERE"

On the day of the interview with the newspaper, we arrived at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel where the interpreter stayed two days after a successful presentation at Tecate Pa'l Norte 2024 in Mexico, and a promotional step through Brazil. Despite the fatigue, he maintained a good attitude with the press, but mainly with his crowded fans outside the venue, who shouted his name from time to time.

Being in front of a pop idol who has spent half of his life on tour, in conferences and with a handful of iconic songs that marked more than a generation, is truly intimidating, but Louis makes anyone lower their guard because he welcomes you as if he were your friend. Wearing a pair of relaxed jeans, black t-shirt and sneakers in tune, he smiles and greets us in a friendly manner. Although he is surrounded by people who make up his team— overwhelming— but this is his natural environment; and thus begins a dialogue with La Cuarta about his two passions.

Q: Louis, you return to Chile in May after filling three arenas on your last visit, something historic! What will it be like to return with that powerful precedent?

Louis: I feel like my Spanish is coming back! I almost knew what you were asking (laughs). I'm very excited, I feel very lucky to be able to perform in an enclosure of that size in my... well, technically on my second solo tour. I feel very grateful to have that love and passion here. I'm mainly very excited about these shows.

Q: In several of your "Faith In the Future" songs, you talk about nostalgia, changes and the passage of time. Are they topics that you think about frequently or only arise when composing?

Louis: Yes, I would say that I am a little bit of a deep thinker. I think it helps me as a songwriter, but I also think that nostalgia is a great thing to write about. It’s a great topic to feel as a listener and also to write as a songwriter. And I'm also interested in psychology, so anything that makes the brain feel in a certain way, I think it's interesting.

Q: What would the 32-year-old Louis with a successful second album under his arm and a new tour say to the teenager who applied to The X Factor in 2010?

Louis: I would insist that he should do it. I think there is definitely an element, in every young person in that situation, there is something very terrifying that makes you want to start. But I would also tell you, what I have learned the most, to trust your instinct, trust that feeling and be brave to make decisions, the right decisions for yourself.

Q: Among those decisions is to be the last 1D member to make your solo career, and today we are here with "Faith In The Future" that sounds 100% yours. Looking back, how do you see the path has unwinded?

Louis: I feel very comfortable. The mentality I have now feels very different from the one I had when I started this trip as a soloist. I feel very blessed to be able to continue making music. But it's also a very nice feeling and it's something very new for me to feel so comfortable on stage and so comfortable when I'm making the music I want to make. In general, yes, I am very happy.

WHEN CHILE DRISTLED HIS SKIN

Q: Louis, I imagine there must be some time in your career when you said, wow, I did it!

Louis: You know, I used to resist that idea, ‘cuz for whatever reason, I don't know, I never wanted to give myself that, I suppose… my brain. But I have, I have started trying to have those moments more for myself. It often happens on the live show. It can be something that fans did together, like some kind of fan project. But also, even when I played the festival just now, in Mexico, that was one of those moments. I was kind of nervous going out there, and the audience was so vast, but people seemed to be having a good time. So yeah, it was great.

Q: Now that you mentioned the fan project, when you came to Chile, your followers prepared one for the song "Kill My Mind" that was beautiful. How did you experience it from the stage?

Louis: I had no idea that was going to happen! I know that fans often do their own little fan projects, in a way of doing something fun for me and something unique at every individual show, but I didn't know what to expect. And to be honest, that— literally gave me goosebumps, it was such an incredible spectacle. And, again, like always at these shows, and especially in Latin America, you’ve not got like ten people giving it a go, everyone in the room is participating! It’s a very euphoric thing for me to see from the stage.

Q: Changing the subject, football is one of your passions, what place does it occupy in your life today?

Louis: I would say that definitely, before I was in the band, nothing came close in my life, football was my IT. Now music is. I absolutely love football, but for me nothing comes close to music. Obviously it's my job, that's important, but as a fan, I'm talking more like a fan, I probably don't watch enough football these days, I'm usually busy, but I catch up with the "highlights" (the most important moments of the game). It's still a big part of my life, especially when they play in England. I'm excited for the next European Championship. We're going to win it!

Q: Of course! [England] is the parents of football. Finally, what makes you happiest today?

Louis: The family, definitely, the family and friends. And specifically in my work world. It's live concerts. That gives me amazing feelings.

He also talked about how he struggled growing up cuz he didn't learn how to read until he was 12 and how, while nowadays we have words like "dyslexic" to describe these things, back then he was used to being called slow or lazy, and even r***rded and that was rly interesting to hear since he's someone I think is SO amazingly talented, I never realized how much of a struggle he started off with and that just made me respect him even more 🥺

I loved Georgie! I was so pissed she was killed off earlier and Seline was the better siren by far she had the best creepy whistle and Kristin hammed the evilness up in a perfect way. I feel if they just let Nat use her native accent Sybil would have been far less annoying because talked so much and you could hear the struggle trying to not slip into her native accent. I really enjoyed the mythology that season, some people don’t like it because of the “religious” aspects of it with hell and the devil but that never bothered me. Cade’s actor had gorgeous skin and teeth and I really liked him in 8x06 and 8x07 but when he went topside he fizzled out for me.

So I’ll be honest I don’t want to post links because I don’t want to give it attention, I’ve probably given it too much attention already but I got a lot of asks about it so I gave my two cents. You can find the videos on YouTube just put his name in and steroline and stuff will come up. Legends of Tomorrow Panels - The Ultimates: Crisis

Okay, so as we know because I’m never ever gonna shut up about it, I just got back from the Ultimates: Crisis convention in Birmingham. It was my first Starfury con and it was SO good. It was an Arrowverse con with a bunch of DCTV guests, and they had multiple daily Q&As with the cast members. As far as Legends goes, I attended all of the panels 😎 which you are NOT supposed to do lmao, they deliberately run the Q&As on both days so people can make it to one or the other and the panels clash with autographs, but I managed somehow. 

We weren’t allowed to film at the event (some people definitely did, but the stewards were pretty good at cracking down on it) which means that obviously a lot of people won’t know what went down, but the panels were so interesting so I have written a huge post of everything I can remember them talking about! (Because it wasn’t filmed, they also got to dish a bit of dirt on the CW which I feel like they wouldn’t have normally lmao.) 

I’ve tried to split these up into categories based on who said it, but there is some crossover because there were multiple people at the panels. Originally I tried to keep things chronological and remember what happened at which panel (there were four) but honestly it was hard to keep track and I just wanted to get down as much as I could possibly remember. 

The guests in attendance from Legends were Nick Zano (Nate), Olivia Swann (Astra), Matt Ryan (Gwyn Davies/John Constantine), Jes Macallan (Ava Sharpe) and Caity Lotz (Sara Lance.) I will say now that I have fewer anecdotes from Caity - long story short, someone showed up in a full Beebo cosplay and Caity got a bit too excited cheering for them and lost her voice, so she wasn’t able to say as much on the second day of panels. (I suspect that the fact she met, talked to and had photos with probably over a thousand people also did not help lmao.) But her personality MORE than made up for it. 

Anyway, here’s a huge list of all the things I remember from the Q&As, which i may add to if I remember more. I’ve legit spent like four or five hours writing all this 😂 so I hope it’s of interest to some people!

Nick

-        There was a question about adlibs and improv, and they all said that Phil Klemmer was totally open to suggestions and encouraged them to try things and let them have a lot of input, which is nice because on other shows you would get in trouble for that. They would always just throw random things in and if something happened to be genuinely funny, they usually got to keep it in. Nick said that the joke about Nate disliking crossovers started from an adlib of his about hating crossovers and they liked it so much that they kind of made it a running joke. Matt also said that there were a couple of adlibs in the truth bug episode (The Getaway) that made it in. One was the part where John is shoving Nixon into the closet/whatever it was and he goes “let’s put dick in a box”, and he was amazed that made it in because he thought there was no way they’d be allowed to keep that. He also said that Dom fluffed his line about Les Miserables and that “I want to grow my hair and look like Fabio” was improv and Matt absolutely lost it when he did it.

-        They made a LOT of jokes about Dom being grumpy on set. Nick said the first time he met Dom to film the first ep of season 2, Dom had already managed to be in a bad mood on the very first day of filming. Anyway, Nick said his line (something where he called Mick a silverback, I think? Not sure if it was in the ep) and Dom did a double-take and was like “was that in the script?!?” And at that point Nick said he thought “Oh man, I’m gonna have some real fun with this guy.” 😂 he fully admitted to deliberately pushing Dom’s buttons which I think is hilarious

-        There was a question about who they would like to be in a body swap episode. Nick said he’d swap with Dom because all he did was come onto set, grunt, and leave again 😂 (he acted out the grunts).

-        Nick said sometimes he used to laugh so much during filming that he couldn’t keep it together, and they would kick him off set and just stick a big green X onto the stage where he was meant to be.

-        They talked a lot about Robo Nate and how everyone found him so funny that the entire cast and crew were crying with laughter for days straight. Nick says he tends to take things too far, and he kept taking it further and apparently Matt couldn’t even look at him whenever he was Robo Nate because he couldn’t keep it together. Nick also said he warned his stunt double (who is really nice and professional) that Robo Nate was a lot and he was gonna be going a bit over the top, and the stunt double was trying so hard not to laugh but he couldn’t keep this one tear from rolling down his face. (At the closing ceremony, Matt specifically did a shoutout to Robo Nate for how much joy he’d brought him. Witnessing Nick and Matt’s friendship was actually one of my fave parts, they’re genuinely super close and I didn’t even realise how much. More on that later.)

-        Nick said he pitched a couple of things to the writers regarding Robo Nate, one being the arms, which he didn’t expect to get, but obviously did, and then the voice. He told them he wanted to do an Arnold Schwarzenegger voice. They told him he couldn’t do the voice, and he did it anyway until it was too late to stop him and they just had to let it happen. Olivia also said the arms were disgusting and they felt all spongy.

-        Someone asked about Nate’s Steel costume and why they didn’t really use it, especially the helmet, and Nick said that the problem was that they fitted him for the costume and made it all, and then realised too late that you couldn’t actually tell he was Steel when he was wearing it because it covered his whole body and all you really could see was his chin and part of his arms. So they didn’t use the helmet. He also said that he wasn’t allowed to change his hair for six seasons because they’d already done all the photography and 3D modelling for the CGI for Steel and if he got a different haircut it would have cost the CW $120K 😬

-        He talked a bit about Shotgun Nate and how the girls couldn’t even look at him while he was doing those scenes (not sure if he meant because they hated Shotgun Nate or because it was too funny).  

-        Someone asked Nick about an incident where he hurt his eye on set. At first he had no idea what they were talking about and he was really confused, but then he remembered, and he told the story. If I remember correctly, it happened during the s6 finale, during the scene when the aliens were trying to break in. There was prop glass blowing everywhere, and Nick said because he’s a dad, he went over to Shayan to warn him to watch out for all the glass. Shayan was like ‘oh, thanks,’ and moved. Anyway, Nick must have gotten too close to the glass himself, because later that night, his eye started swelling up, so they sent him to a doctor (who was NOT an eye doctor, they specified, so I assume that was relevant lmao). He was the ‘showbiz doctor’. Anyway, this doctor swabbed his eye and got a bunch of residue from the glass out, but then the eye swelled up even more because it was healing. He had to wear an eyepatch, and when he arrived on set the next day and took it off, everyone was like 😬 because it had swollen so much and they couldn’t hide it. For the rest of the day he had to film all of his scenes side-on, even the really serious ones. That should be a fun thing to watch out for on a rewatch.

-        They were asked if they had taken anything from the set and they were all mad that they didn’t get the chance. However, Nick said that when they were dismantling Constantine’s mansion, ‘Matty’ (he kept calling him Matty, it was so cute) was already done filming his scenes for the season, and Nick wanted him to have something from the set, so he decided to steal one of the huge stone gargoyles from the stairwell in Constantine’s mansion. So he snuck over there and tried to shove this thirty-pound gargoyle into his backpack, and it made a really loud thunk. Then he carried it all the way to Matt’s trailer and was like ‘look, I got this for you’. Matt was like ‘I live in the UK, how am I supposed to get that home???’ 😂 but he said he did manage to get it home somehow and it’s now in his house, though he said it would have been cheaper if he’d just commissioned someone to make a replica of it.

-        Nick told this super cute story about how one time, Matt had shown Nick’s then three-year-old son how to rub his fingers together on a rosemary plant and crush it so you can smell the rosemary, and apparently his son (who is now five) still shows all of his friends what Matt taught him whenever someone new comes over, which is FUCKING adorable.

-        Speaking of kids, there was a little boy named Olly at the con, and he was the star of the show, honestly, they all loved him. He asked Matt and Nick what their favourite colours were 🥺 Nick said it was boring but his favourite colour was black, but his son’s was red. Matt said the same, but he also liked yellow, and they also chatted about that a bit and how yellow is the colour of the sun. They were both SO good with the kids (though there weren’t many there, thank god) and they tried so hard to keep everything PG. Nick kept saying ‘shizz’ instead of shit and stuff like that. Not that the other con-goers made it easy for them (someone started yelling stuff about tentacle kink at one point; more on that later) but they tried. Nick also apologized because he swore when he was meeting one of the other guests who they thought was in his twenties and he was actually like 13. He felt so bad about it, bless him.

-        Nick said there was a scene with Zari and Nate in the totem in the finale, and they built the set and filmed it, but it was cut for time, which he was disappointed by because he said it looked like ‘the city from Thor’ and it was a really cool set.

-        Someone asked about what it was like when Behrad showed up and they had to act like they’d known him for years, and Nick said it was hard because a lot of the friendships on the show are kind of influenced by their real-life connections. He said it was hard for him because they wanted him to kind of replicate the relationship he had with Brandon, but with Shayan. He said that was something you couldn’t force, and that he and Shayan needed to build their own relationship and make it different and then that relationship would grow organically.

-        He talked about the Thong Song and apparently they were all a bit nervous when Sisqo was there cos they were very aware that they were parodying him a bit and didn’t want to offend him, so they toned it down a but until they were done filming with him. Apparently he was also gunning for a role on the show and kept pitching himself as different characters and they were like uhhhh maybe 😂

-        There were a bunch of people wearing shirts that said ‘I ♥Gary Green’ and Nick said that he’d texted Adam about how crazy popular Gary is in the UK, and he’d tricked him into believing there was a whole merch table of people selling these Gary Green shirts 😂 so someone at the panel gave him one of the shirts so he could pretend he’d bought him one. Nick and Matt also joked that they should both carry on the bit by each taking a photo of themselves in the shirt and pretending they both bought one from the stall 😂

 Matt

-        I think Matt was my fave guest after Meagan Tandy. I’ve met him before so I was a little less intimidated, and he had some really interesting and insightful answers to the questions. Also shoutout to him for being a good sport about everyone demanding he do Al Pacino impressions for the whole weekend 😂

-        So I actually went up and asked a couple of questions in the panels, which was THE scariest thing I have ever done. I’ve always said that I would never be that person and I don’t know how people have the guts to go up there. If you had asked me literally a day or two before if I would have done it, I’d have laughed in your face. Asking them a question is scary enough, but there were several hundred people in the audience as well and I have a terrible fear of microphones. But I did it, and I’m legit so proud of myself. Who is she??? Anyway, I went up and said (and I remember this because I rehearsed it 938282 times), “Gwyn’s feelings for Alun were a hugely fundamental part of the season, but we didn’t really get to see much of their relationship on screen. How do you think that relationship would have developed going forward, and would you have been interested in exploring that?” (If you are very invested in Gwyn and Alun, skip this next part haha.) Matt said that he was less interested in Gwyn and Alun’s relationship and more who Gwyn was outside of it, before he met Alun. Gwyn the warrior. He was interested in Gwyn’s identity as a gay man in 1925, when it was illegal, and him reconciling his sexuality with his religion, and that he’d been so hugely fixated on Alun that it would be nice to see him move forward now that he’d saved him, and for Gwyn to explore himself outside of that. And then he said that he thought that maybe Gwyn and Alun wouldn’t even have stayed together, and that would be okay, and it didn’t have to have been a happily ever after for it to have been meaningful. It was a really insightful and interesting answer and definitely not what I was expecting, but he genuinely went quite into depth with it and I was really interested in everything he said, which was all put far more eloquently than I can sum up here haha. Bear in mind that while he was saying all this, I was stood there clutching this microphone, nodding frantically while he made direct eye contact with me 😂 phew. Anyway, then Nick was like “I can’t believe you’re gonna break up with Alun. Does the actor know?” and Matt was like 🤷‍♀️. And they joked a bit about how he’d wait right until being gay was decriminalised and then immediately dump him haha. It was SUCH an interesting answer and I was so glad I was brave enough to go up and ask because I love Gwyn SO MUCH.

-        Matt talked quite a bit about Gwyn, and how he thought that would be it for him after they wrote John out, but he got to do Gwyn instead. He said there was a lot of pressure because everyone was kind of waiting to see what he’d do, and how he was going to play it. He also said he did a lot with the physicality especially. Not method acting, but that even when the cameras weren’t rolling he kept up Gwyn’s mannerisms in terms of how he stood and moved. He also said that it took him a while to stop slipping into John’s mannerisms out of habit and that Nick would take him on one side and tell him if a little bit of John had slipped into his performance so he could take it down a notch. There was a bunch of interesting stuff about Gwyn this panel, actually, which was lovely. They said at one point he was going to be Australian, or maybe American, before they settled on Welsh, because it’s a very soft accent (and of course Matt is Welsh himself). He also talked about how Gwyn would be so amazed by everything they saw which made me so emo omggg.

-        At Nick, Matt, and Olivia’s panel, someone asked if they had a Waverider, who would they choose to voice the AI? They all REALLY liked this question. Matt said Al Pacino and Nick begged him to act it out so he kept doing Al Pacino impressions. I cannot personally vouch for whether they were any good or not but I CAN confirm that even as someone who didn’t get the reference (I know the name but I do not actually know who Al Pacino is, don’t hate me) it was very funny.

-        He said his favourite John Constantine plotline was John having lung cancer

-        Someone asked if John would have been disappointed about having sex with Gary and not knowing he was an alien, and he said maybe John already knew 😏 Then someone asked about tentacle sex and if that’s what John meant when he said what he and Gary did didn’t count as Gary losing his virginity, and he said yes 😂 but he was very red at this point, bless him.

-        Someone asked what they all learned from their characters. When it got to Matt’s turn, someone yelled “tentacle kink”, which honestly was a bit yikes, especially cos there was a young child at the panel and I thought it had already been made kind of clear from Matt’s reactions that he wasn’t too comfortable with the nsfw tentacle-related questions, but he said ‘no, definitely not that’ and he said something about how John just walks into things no matter how they’re gonna go and even if they’ll end badly and that he admires that.

 Olivia

 -        Olivia talked about the cartoon episode and how becoming immortalized as a Disney princess was a literal dream for her, but she was nervous about the singing parts because she doesn’t consider herself a singer. She also said that they recorded the voiceover for that episode months before the animation was done, and that afterwards when she was watching it she felt kind of frustrated by missed opportunities and how she wished she’d done more with certain lines or changed her delivery.

-        They talked about the scene where Astra is trying to fix the Waverider and how the field they filmed in was FULL of spiders. Poor Olivia had to lie on the ground and had them all over her 😭 she told them she’d do it, but if anyone screamed, it was game over.

-        Olivia said one time she accidentally knocked over a candlestick in Constantine’s mansion and it made a really loud noise and she was really embarrassed, so rather than admit she knocked it over, she quickly lay down on the floor and pretended she’d tripped, and everyone came in and was really worried about her 😂 I don’t know why she thought pretending to fall down was less embarrassing than knocking over a candlestick, but hey 😂 they were all shook by this, she had never told them this before and Jes was like “WHAT??” Apparently she’d wanted to call a medic to check Olivia over because she was worried it had been a really bad fall. Olivia was like yeah I lied, sorry 😂

-        Someone asked Olivia how Astra would torture the Legends. I was expecting her to talk about mental torture, like Ava’s purgatory in the ikea episode, but instead she talked about how in hell, Astra had earned some kind of qualification in flaying (there was a deleted scene where she talked about it). So she launched into this EXTREMELY in-depth description of how Astra would flay the Legends’ skin off and roll them around in lemon juice and acid. She would put thumbscrews on Sara and Ava. She said she’d have a LOT of fun with Gary, and when asked if she’d torture Behrad, she said yeah but she thought he’d enjoy it 😂 After Olivia was done with this extremely in-depth description of graphic torture, Caity holds up the mic and whispers “you guys are sick”. 😂 They were all very impressed with how much thought Olivia had put into the torture methods at such short notice but Olivia just shrugged like ‘I’ve done a lot of work with Astra, I know my character’.

-        Apparently Meagan Tandy auditioned for Astra, and Olivia auditioned for Sophie on Batwoman. CAN YOU IMAGINE. They both told this same anecdote in separate panels.

-        I asked what their favourite memories were of filming the 100th episode. I can’t lie, on my part this was purely an attempt to elicit an anecdote about working with Wentworth lmaooo, you all know it wouldn’t be me if I didn’t bring Len up somehow. I feel like Caity would have been the best person to ask this question, since she directed this ep, but unfortunately she’d lost her voice at this point, and Jes didn’t understand a word I was saying; she said she was glad Olivia was there to translate. I didn’t think my accent was that bad but I think I spoke too quickly because I was so nervous. Idk how I got out that massively wordy Gwyn/Alun question and fumbled a short sentence an hour later, but hey. Anyway, Olivia said that it was nice getting to meet up with everyone from the old cast and also that Caity did a really good job of directing and wrangling them all when there were so many people to work with. At another point they also mentioned how in the OG script, in the scene where all the old Legends are in the corridor, the script didn’t mention how that shot was set up, it was just kind of people popping up to say their lines, so Caity had to work really hard to figure out the staging when she was directing it, and that was how the corridor thing happened. So I didn’t get any Wentworth stories like I was hoping, boooo 😂 but my friend asked if there were any former Legends they would have liked their character to work with and Caity said she really enjoyed working with Wentworth and would have liked to do more with him, so there’s that. (As a side-note, Caity was the only person all weekend who picked up on my Captain Cold cosplay and she was really excited about it. I was like YES, SOMEONE GETS IT. Apparently me and Caity are the only person at that con who remembered that season 1 existed AND WAS GOOD, ACTUALLY. None of y’all have taste.

 Jes

-        Someone asked Jes if it was true that she was clumsy and kept breaking props, and she said yes. She told a story about how one time there was a TV on set with a green screen and she hit it with her fist as a joke, and it went off. The tech guys were panicking trying to fix it, and sweating, and the minutes were passing and everyone was stressed out about it (she said two minutes is like two hours in TV, or something along those lines) and they couldn’t fix it. So as a joke she was like “I’ll fix it” and hit it again AND IT CAME BACK ON. She also said they gave her a phone that I think had been blocked somehow (I didn’t fully understand the tech lingo haha) for a scene, and someone she accidentally called someone and the prop guy had no idea how she did it. She ALSO said that she kept forgetting about Ava’s wedding ring and the prop guy would come and give it to her while they were filming and ask her not to tell the director, and unless it was her or Caity filming, the director wouldn’t notice she wasn’t wearing it. So if you keep your eye out, there are some scenes where she doesn’t have the ring on.

-        They were arguing about the cost of travelling in the Waverider. Caity was like “who pays for it??” and Jes went “not the CW anymore” 💀 (Just one of many incidents of shade thrown at the CW this weekend lmaooo).

-        A few people asked the cast about certain fan theories. Someone asked Jes what she thought of the theory that when Time Mistress Ava was thrown out of the Waverider by Gideon, she landed in Gotham and became the female Riddler. Jes was shook by this and grabbed her phone like ‘wait I have to write that down to send to my agent’ 😂. Someone else also asked if it had ever been considered that before Ava learned she was a clone, did we have any guarantee that we had always been seeing the same Ava, or was it possible that they might have dealt with multiple Avas without knowing. Jes said she thought she remembered a scene where that was mentioned, and that it had been suggested at some point, but again, it was cut. Someone else asked her if she thought that there was the potential that the newly cloned Sara and Ava could be evil, and Jes was mindblown haha. She said, and this is verbatim because I wrote it down immediately for posterity, ‘all theories are correct.’ There you have it, folks. All your wildest Legends theories are true. You’re welcome.

-        Someone asked if they could also do some ASMR. There was a joke that Caity was already doing it because she lost her voice over the weekend so she was whispering during the whole panel. Anyway, Jes said she’d do some, and she moved the microphone behind her. It looked like she was holding it against her bum, and everyone was like :O because it looked like she was going to fart into it, until she saw our faces and was like “It’s not gonna come out of my butt, guys, come on!” Then she cracked her back DIRECTLY into the microphone. It was one of the most satisfying things I have ever heard. Iconic behaviour, actually. (Olivia also did some with her rings and said wearing rings is her whole personality.)

 Avalance

-        The first question at the Avalance panel was some guy who asked if Sara and Ava ended up in an island solely populated by women, would Sara remain faithful. This was NOT a popular question lmao, and for good reason, considering that Sara has literally never shown any signs of being unfaithful. Smells like biphobia to me. Anyway, Caity was like ‘of course she’d stay faithful’ and pointed out that Sara already lives in a world full of women and has never been unfaithful. I don’t know why he asked that question and everyone was appalled by it tbh.

-        Someone else asked if Sara and Ava broke up, would Sara end up with someone else on the Waverider, and Caity said no, she thought she’d be done with that, and she wouldn’t shit where she ate again 😂 she was like “Romantic 😏” 😂

-        Someone asked if they remembered any of the choreography from the tango scene, and could they do it. They said no, but they did remember some of the other dances, and they did some of the choreo for us :D it was adorable, I don’t have any pictures but other people do, so they’ll probably show up at some point.

-        Someone asked about what they thought the Avalance baby would be called. They debated over last names and combining it as ‘Larpe’. Jes started singing ‘baby Sharpe do-do-do-do’, and later someone suggested ‘Laurel’ as a name, so she started singing ‘Laurel Larpe do-do-do-do-do-do’. I tell you this purely because this has been on repeat in my head ever since and I want everyone else to suffer along with me.

-        They talked about the Avalance pregnancy, and how everyone thought Ava would be the one to carry the baby. Caity said she wasn’t happy that Sara got pregnant because she didn’t want to be fat 😬. Apparently there was also a pitch flying around that the pregnancy would be kind of symbiotic, if that’s the right word, and that Ava would actually be pregnant but Sara would be the one with all the symptoms, like morning sickness, so she’d have been puking everywhere while Ava was fine, which I actually think would have been extremely funny. Someone suggested maybe it would have been more of an alien-type pregnancy like Mick’s, so Sara wouldn’t have to be traditionally pregnant and they could fast-track it, but Caity said she didn’t want that to happen either 😂 Jes also said some really sweet stuff about how nice it was for Sara and Ava to have that experience and to be able to have a kid that was just theirs and had their DNA, which was lovely.

-        Someone asked Jes a question about ‘playboy Oliver Queen’ and how she’d have reacted if she’d been there when he tried to take Sara on the boat. Jes had literally NO idea what he was talking about lmao, and after a minute of trying to explain, he was like “wait, have you actually SEEN Arrow??” Jes hid her face and did a walk of shame off the stage 😂 then she came back and admitted she hadn’t seen it (I was shocked people expected her to have. I think people forget that they’re IN the shows, they’re not fans themselves) but she said she would. Eventually he kind of did a tl;dr of how Sara ended up on the Queen’s Gambit and asked what Ava would have done if she was there, and Jes was like “I’d kill him.” Very matter of fact 😂. (As a side note, the panel the next day the guy came up to ask if she’d watched it yet and Jes did ANOTHER walk of shame off the stage 😂) like WHEN WOULD SHE HAVE HAD TIME. She did say her and her husband (who was also there, and who she said has been in three different Legends eps) would binge watch it on the plane ride home, and Caity said to skip to season 2 (the season she was in) and just watch that, which is valid tbh. Everyone cheered.)

-        There was a question about rep, and Caity talked about how she loved that being bi was just a part of Sara’s character, and it wasn’t all that she was. They did also talk about the ace rep and Olivia said she didn’t want to speak for Lisseth, but obviously they’re close and they had talked about how Lisseth was very anxious about getting it right because she knew it was a massively underrepresented group of people.

 Cancellation Stuff/Saving Legends

-        During their panel, someone asked Nick, Matt, and Olivia what they were doing when they found out the show was cancelled. Matt said it was about 4am and he woke up to a bunch of emails from the cast and crew. They would have called him but you know. He was in the UK and it was 4am. So he just sort of rolled over and went back to sleep and it didn’t really register until afterwards. It was similar for Olivia, it was like 6am and it didn’t really hit her. I can’t really remember Nick’s reaction, but I think he said it was different for him because he’d already left the show and said his goodbyes as Nate and he felt bad that everyone else didn’t get the chance to do the same. The same person also asked if they were going to get more work after this and they were all like “uhhh, I hope so.” It was kind of uncomfortable I can’t lie; the person kept questioning them in a similar vein and it was a bit cringey. The panels were unmoderated and no one was vetoing any questions, and for the most part people were pretty respectful but there was the occasional question that was a bit awkward, though I don’t think it was malicious.

-        Someone asked Jes, Caity, and Olivia, if Legends was picked up by another network, would they come back and do more. Jes was like ‘ARE YOU INSANE??’ 😂 The person also asked if they’d prefer it to be on Netflix or HBO and Jes and Olivia were like ‘anywhere. Anywhere that will have us.’ The same person also said she saw that Netflix were currently in negotiations to pick it up but I have no idea what her source was on that, and nobody really took her very seriously... Jes in particular seemed very resigned to the fact that it was over but very vocal that she would be 100% down to keep going if it was an option. She also joked about considering getting her real-estate license when it was cancelled, and about her frustration that they were all kept in limbo for six months by the network and couldn’t move on or start looking for more work because they didn’t know if they’d be coming back or not.

 Okay, that is a LOT of stuff. Is there more? Definitely. They talked for four hours between them. I didn’t mention a lot of stuff when they were talking about other projects, for example. I have also been writing this for LITERAL hours so I am running out of steam, but I will definitely come back to it and reblog with any more stuff I remember if anything pops into my head, and if anyone has any questions or wants to try to jog my memory, have at it haha.

Zim: Miss Bitters had returned and Drena seemed to have disappeared from the class's memory, except for Zim he knew better, The Ove human was still here... he could smell her. It was recess, Zim had managed to avoid Dib who was busy helping Gaz with her late homework. 

The Irken made sure all the other children were preoccupied with their little playground games; He readjusted his wig letting his antenna loose, Zim whiffed the air his antenna waggled around quizzically trying to pinpoint the blonde's location before settling on a quiet shady bench just out of the way from everything and everyone.

 Zim put his wig back to it normal position and calmly walked over to the secluded area and sat down, to the naked-eye it looked like no was sitting there except for the weird green skinned kid and an empty space.

Zim's senses knew better however he knows she was there. "I knew there was something interesting about you." he stated tickled that his instincts were on point, the "empty" moved rippling like a heat mirage the Irken blinked and a familiar blonde was sitting next to him seemingly fading back into existence, eating bag of peanuts while looking at him with mild interest.

"I could say the same to you Martian boy."

"Irken actually."

"Well if we're being open, Artificial human."

"I thought humans frowned on that sort of thing?"

Drena snorted. "Only the ones they know about." she spat bitterly offering Zim some of her peanuts, the Irken grimaced. "I can't eat those, you got anything with sugar?" The blonde thought for a seconds before searching through her bag and finding one of those cheap valentine lollipops and handing it to Zim, the Irken cock a brow the candy's shape, but shrugged and unwrapped it. "So you can camouflaged?" he asked curious about your abilities.

"Yeah, I age slow and heal pretty fast too..." Drena mumbled nonchalantly popping a couple peanuts in her mouth, If the Irken wasn’t sucking on lollipop he'd be drooling right now. 

Unbeknownst to Zim; Dib was watching them the whole time he couldn't hear what they were saying, the big headed boy's eyes narrowed suspiciously as he tried figure just what horrible things Zim was planning to do to Drena.

The Tallest: To say the tallest were curious about Y/n was an understatement, they were absolutely fascinated by her, How someone so tall could be at the bottom of the "food-chain" as Zim put it, the earthbound Irken told them human social structure wasn't height based like theirs, it was all based more on success, looks, personality and wealth.

Tall or not Y/n was average at best, nothing special, she's as the humans tend to say is "just another a cog in the machine." Regardless; Red and Purple were hooked. they wanted to know more about her. The only con was they'd have go through Zim for that to happen, and it was pretty clear, Tallest or not Zim was very protective of Y/n, it was obvious they shared a sibling like bond; Zim would blow up the moon for her if she asked!

So Red got an Idea he had special SiR unit commissioned and sent to your residence they had gotten Gir to tell them your address in exchange for a box of crayons and gummy bears; which to the their disgust the Gir proceeded to eat as soon he got them, Cut to you sitting in your house (you live pretty far out from the city) when a large explosion shook it's foundation (that was the sound of the sound barrier breaking), you had thought Dib was back and had blown up your car! You grabbed a metal baseball bat and looked out the window... Nothing. 

Bullshit! You heard something! you put on your shoes and opened the front door only to be greeted by a cardboard box with the Irken Empire symbol stamped on it, your brow furrowed as you looked around the porch and surveyed your yard for damage and saw nothing, which confused you even more, looking back down at the box, you cautiously brought it inside and looked at the note on the box top.

[From: the Tallest To: Y/n L/n from EARTH .] 

Tallest..... those were Zim's leaders right? Why would they send you something? Curiously you opened the box and this dark more serious looking version of Gir emerged from the box, confusing you further as it saluted you. "Um... Hi?" you greeted. "Greetings Madam, prepare for incoming transmission from the Almighty Tallest!" Before you could answer the robot's head popped open and these seed looking things shot out! 

One went into the ceiling and planted itself onto your roof and extended outside and bloomed into a satellite, while the other imbedded itself into the wall across from you split apart 4 ways and formed into a large screen, it turned on and you were greeted by two obnoxiously tall Irkens, both almost identical in appearance save for red and purple eyes that matched their clothes, 

Both looked oddly excited to see you. "Oh! Y/n... uh can we call you that?" the red one asked you slowly nodded still trying to process what the hell was going on? "I see you got our gift!... do you like it?" he motioned towards the SiR unit, as purple one butted in. "We can trade it in for another model if you want!" he was shoved out of the way by his red eyed counterpart. "You said you let me handle it!" he hissed.

You blinked staring up at the hole in your ceiling; wondering what's it gonna cost to patch that up? before finding your voice. "He's um, cool?" you and were going to ask why had they sent you a robot? but Red and Purple at each other bemused then looked back at you. "Cool?....What is "cool"? is that good?" Purple asked curiously. "It means excellent?" You say hoping to calm them down, both seemed relieved to hear that as their body language seemed less tense and more relaxed, after a few seconds of awkward silence you finally spoke up. 

"So why send a stranger like me a robot?"

"Well a few weeks ago we caught a glimpse of you during a call from Zim, we couldn't help but notice you and your.... tallness."

"Few wee... oh! When I fell asleep and Boss thought I was a chair?"

"Yes... that's another thing we'd like to ask about."

Pretty much your early evening was occupied by an impromptu Q&A with a pair of alien leaders who still couldn't comprehend how someone as tall as you was working a simple low-wage security job, instead of being a big deal senator or military commander, You had told them what Zim had told them, about human society and it's construct. Fame, money and Vanity run the planet, and you have multiple leaders instead of one or two, but that's rabbit hole you rather not go down, You told them how you met Zim and the circumstances of your partnership.

They pointed out that it was Zim's fault that the big headed kid even thought you were an alien. which you acknowledged, but had counterpointed that Zim didn't kidnap you and blow up your motorhome just to prove he was right! "The little runt still hasn't apologized and pretends it never happened!" You huffed crossing your arms and leaning back in your chair. "So yeah, I joined Zim, he's actually pretty fun when you get to know him." Both Red and Purple brains kind of stalled hearing you talk about Zim in positive light, before that all to familiar beep from your alarm going off the cut the session short, you apologized but duty calls and you promise to continue your chat later.

The tallest snapped out of their stupor and bid you goodnight and hoped you have fun with your Sir unit, said robot proceed to disguise itself as a rabbit and would not leave your side and even went to work with you... you were thinking of naming him Ede, after that Eye-bot from Fallout New Vegas.

 Today the boys have a show planned in Birmingham. It's in a smaller venue but that does not hold them back to build a big party. They are all excited as it was the first show of the year. To celebrate that family and friends are invited to come and watch the show.

You arrive at the venue together with Brad as you’re his girlfriend. He lives in Birmingham and went to the venue in his car, while the others have to come from London. That’s also the reason why you arrive first at the venue. When you pass by the entrance you see already a lot of fans standing in front of the doors while the show isn't starting for another six hours. Brad parked his car on the private parking where the backdoor is where artists can enter.

After you get out of the car and Brad picked up his stuff, a security guard let you into the building. He gives you both a pass, you don't have to explain who you are as you were noted down onto a list. The man leads you through the building to the dressing room where there is a sign with ‘the vamps’ on the door.

“When are the others arriving?”, you ask Brad when you’re left alone.

“I just got a message from Con, he says they will be here in half an hour”, Brad answers you while he’s unpacking his stuff.

You look around the room while Brad’s busy. It’s a quiet big dressing room, there are three sofas and a little table in the centre. There is also a table against the wall with food and drinks. On the other side, you see tables with mirrors where the boys can get ready for the show. And next to it there is a door that leads to a room with toilets and showers. Besides that, there is just a lot of space for guests.

“You okay?”, Brad asks you while his arms sneak around your waist.

“Yeah, I was just looking around”, you say and give him a small kiss.

Suddenly the door swings open and the other boys, their girlfriends and the manager enter the room.

“You guys are early”, Joe, their manager says.

“Yeah well I live here, I don’t have to ride an hour”, Brad says.

“So you already installed?”, Joe asks.

“Yes, that’s why I’m going to look at the stage with y/n”, Brad says and Joe nods.

After Brad and you have greeted everyone he takes your hand and leads you out of the room. It’s like he knows the building out of his head while you would never find your way back. The boys already played this venue a few times so he knows where he needs to go.

When you arrive at the stage you realise how big this venue is. It’s the first time you’re here with Brad, it’s the first time you will see them perform this venue.

Both of you take a seat at the side of the stage. Brad picks one of his guitars which are already set up and sits next to you again.

“So which song do you want to hear?”, Brad asks you with a smile.

“Surprise me”, you answer him.

Immediately Brad starts playing a song. When you hear the first chords you already know what he’s playing.

“I was walking away, but she’s so beautiful it made me stay”, Brad sings and you start to smile.

Brad knows this is one of your favourite songs of them, he has already sung it to you several times. He knows how much you enjoy it and that’s why you immediately start to sing along with him.

Caught up in the moment you don’t realise that a few fans managed to break into the venue. They found a way at the back of the venue and searched themselves a way to the stage where they see you and Brad. They watch how Brad sings to you and how you sing along and smile at him. After he is done playing the song he connects your lips with his in a passionate kiss, not noticing that fans are taking pictures. Although you guys have been dating for several months you weren’t out in the public yet, but that would change very fast as these pictures will spread like fire.

Suddenly the group of fans is storming to Brad, eager for a picture, eager to talk to him.

“Oh shit”, Brad says when he sees what’s happening.

You turn your head in the direction he is looking at, gasping as you see the group coming to you. The group consisted of ten fans.

“Go, I’ll take care of them”, Brad says.

“But I don’t know how I have to get back”, you say.

“Just run and call Joe”, Brad says and you do what he says and start running.

You try to remember the way back to the dressing room while calling Joe.

“Y/n? Is everything okay?” Joe asks.

“No, a group of fans managed to get in and stormed to Brad and me, I’m on my way back now to the dressing room but silly enough I don’t know how to get back as this building is a maze”, you answer, panic rushing through your body.

Joe explains how you have to go back to the dressing room before he ends the call and goes to the stage himself to handle the situation.

When you arrive at the dressing room you notice that more people arrived, probably family.

“Hey what’s going on?”, James asks when he sees your worried face.

“A couple of fans managed to get into the building”, you say and tell him what happened.

As bad as it sounds you are not so much worried about how they get in but about the fact they will expose your relationship with Brad. You know you have to do that eventually but not like this. You’re scared about the comments and everything that comes with it. There are definitely people who are going to be against your relationship. What if Brad listened to them and breaks up with you. You know that sounds silly but all these wrong scenarios are running through your head. Earlier today you were excited but right now you are scared as hell. Especially because the boys have to do a Q&A with fans that bought the VIP package.

As you already were expecting, the fans asked about your relationship with Brad. They wanted to know who you are. That’s what Brad tells you when the boys are back from soundcheck, Q&A and VIP. Now it is only an hour until the show will start.

“Everything will be fine, okay?”, Brad says to you and kisses you on the head.

The last hour before the show is the busiest, the boys are hyping up and getting ready. That’s why you don't have the chance to talk to Brad about how you feel in this situation.

The time was finally there, the boys enter the stage and the venue goes wild. You and the other girls are watching the show besides the stage. You enjoy seeing them perform but at the back of your head, you are still panicking. Scared, worried, it feels like everyone in the venue is looking at you although they can't see you.

When the show is done, Brad runs off the stage to hug you while he’s all sweaty.

“Babe, now your sweat is all over me”, you whine, Brad smiles in response and gives you a small kiss.

“We can shower together”, Brad says in a naughty way making you giggle.

Back into the dressing room, there is a small party going on. Everyone is talking, drinking and there is some loud music. The boys decide to shower first and get changed before joining the others.

“You sure you don’t want to shower with me?”, Brad whispers to you.

“Brad, not when everyone is here”, you say shocked.

With puppy eyes Brad leaves you to go into the shower alone, making you laugh.

It is already eleven O’clock when someone suggests taking the party else where as it is time to leave. You aren't really in the mood to party, partly because you are tired but also because you don't want to be in a public place right now. You are still kind of feeling odd about the situation from earlier.

“Is it okay if I go back to your house? I’m feeling tired and I’m not really in the mood to party”, you say to Brad.

“You sure? You want me to go with you?”, Brad asks.

“No, it’s okay, go make some fun with your friends”, you say with a small smile.

“I’ll drop you off at my house and then I will join the others”, Brad says.

Not much later you arrive at Brad’s house. You’ll be alone as his parents left earlier at the show because they booked a weekend in Brighton and his sister was also gone. It’s a relieve to know you’re alone as you have to process the earlier events.

“You okay babe?”, Brad asks before you get out of the car.

“Yes, I just need some alone time”, you say.

Brad pulls you in so your lips are connected for a sweet kiss.

“See you when you get home”, You say and peck his lips for the last time.

The first thing you do is taking a shower to wash off your thoughts. Brad’s home became your home too. The last few weeks you’re a lot there, and his family just makes you feel at home.

After your shower, you go to the kitchen to pick something to eat. When you have everything you head up to Brad’s room and install yourself in his bed. You put on the tv in his room and start watching something on Netflix while you eat. It’s already one O’clock but you’re not tired. The more time passes by, the more you’re wondering what people are writing about you on socials. You know it’s a bad idea to look at the comments but it’s stronger than yourself. You pick your phone and go to Twitter. Immediately when you refresh your feed, tweets about you and Brad are showing up. There are good reactions but also a lot of bad reactions.

“Who is she?”, “She doesn’t deserve Brad”, “Brad deserves better”, “She is ugly”, “What’s her name?”, “I hope Brad will break up with her”, “Who does she think she is?”, “They won’t last for a week”, “Brad’s ashamed of her, that’s why he held it a secret”, “whore”.

Tears start to flow and before you know it you’re sobbing, your phone falling onto the bed. Those comments are all rushing through your head. “They don’t like me”, is the only thing you are thinking. You start to believe every word, that you don’t deserve Brad, realising that reading those comments was a bad idea.

“Y/n?”, Brad says shocked when he enters the room.

You had been reading these comments for two hours, you can't believe it.

“Brad, you have to see what they are writing about me”, you sob.

Brad was already sitting next to you, his arm over your shoulder, trying to calm you down.

“Did you read those comments? Babe don’t believe them because you’re only looking at the bad ones. I know how bad they can be but please do not believe them okay?”, he tries to reassure you.

“I don’t deserve you”, you say.

“Baby that’s not true, listen here”, he tilts your head so you’re looking at him, “I love you, what they say is not true and I will never listen to that, hell I would never read them because they are jealous of what we have. What we have is something special and I will never let those comments ruin that okay. Listen here, you're the only one for me, I would be a fool to let you go”, Brad says honestly.

The only thing you do is connecting your lips with his. They are moving perfectly in sync like you’re made for each other.

“You want to cuddle and talk until we fall asleep?”, Brad asks and you nod.

While Brad makes himself ready for bed, you make yourself comfortable in bed. When Brad enters the room again he gets into bed and pulls you onto him, kissing you softly. You never felt this happy and you’re glad you could talk about what bothered you. He makes you feel loved and at home and that’s all you need. The rest of the night you spend cuddling and kissing with Brad until you finally fall asleep at five in the morning.

You are feeling excited you got the role on the show legacies. You did a screen test with Danielle, you two got along right away. You got to know the cast, you accepted you. You would shoot most of your scenes with Danielle. During breaks, Danielle would take selfies with you. She would join you for lunch before you used to eat alone in your trailer.

Outside of work, you have spent time with the cast and Danielle. A few times you went to the beach with Danielle, she had a good time with you. The more time you spend with Danielle, you started to fall for her.

“How was the blind date?” Danielle asked.

The way she said it in annoyance.

“It was bad. I only -”

You couldn't finish your sentence. You had to do a scene with Matthew and Chris. All-day you have shooting most of your scenes with Danielle. But she has been ignoring you. You trying to figure out what you did wrong. You couldn't think of anything, you tried to speak with Danielle but she just avoided you.

Later on, set you do your scenes with Danielle and Kaylee. You messed up your lines because Kaylee made you laugh.

“Sorry, it was funny when you messed up your line” Kaylee giggled.

Danielle couldn't help to laugh. You did the scene again and didn't mess up. Danielle messed up her lines and she made you laugh.

After the scene, you sit down and drink water. She watches you talk to the others and she bites her bottom lip. She is debating if she should tell you or not about how she feels. She sighed and kept thinking what if.

You and others have to work all night. You and Danielle are feeling tired. She sat next to you

“I’m surprised you are talking to me,” You said.

“I’m sorry I have been ignoring you. Forgive me?” Danielle said.

“I can't stay mad at you forever” You smiled.

Danielle smiled and she lies her head on your shoulder. You and Danielle fell asleep and Kaylee took a picture of you two.

Danielle starts to fall harder for you. She feels comfortable talking to you and have a few things in common. You and Danielle do start to drink more and keep talking to each other.

The party finished at 4:38 am. You and Danielle are very tired, you never spoke to, anyone, for more than four hours.

“It's been a while since I spoke to anyone I found interesting” Danielle said.

“Same for me. Danielle I want to tell you something,” You said.

“Me too, I want to tell you something,” Danielle said.

You start to stutter and you want to confess your feelings, but you can't do it.

“Can I drive you home?” You stuttered.

You drive her home and listen to music. You opened the door for her and walked her to the door.

You and Danielle have to film a fight scene. Everything is going well and fast. Accidentally Danielle hit you in the stomach with the prop. She hit you hard and you fell down

“Y/N, I am so sorry!” Danielle said.

She helped you stand up but you are still in pain. She is feeling bad about what she did and she kept apologizing.

“I-I’m fin-ne!”

You struggled to say. You sit down on the chair and someone gave you an ice pack of your stomach.

“Y/N, I didn't mean to hit you. I'm really sorry and I feel bad about what I did” Danielle said.

“It's not your fault, it's not like you did it on purpose,” You said.

“I didn't, I swear,” Danielle said.

All-day Danielle stayed by your side to make sure you are ok. You do have a bruise and it hurts when you touch it. You did finish the fight scene but you were in pain because you had to fall on the ground a lot.

Your character and Danielle’s character will start to date. You and Danielle have to shoot the first kiss scene together. You and Danielle are feeling nervous but didn't say anything to each other.

You and Danielle stare at each other. You had to lean in and kiss her. Danielle felt a spark in the kiss, she hopes that you feel it too.

After the scene, you and Danielle were speechless and didn't know what to say. You have lunch with Matthew and he knows about your crush on Danielle.

“Y/N, just ask her out. What are you waiting for” Matthew said.

You sighed “I want to ask her out then I chicken out. It's something about her that I-I really like” You said.

“Tell her. You would lose your chance then you would blame yourself for it. If she says no then you can move on” Matthew said.

You know he is right and you start to kiss. You thought to yourself ‘I have to ask her out now’

You were going to ask her out but you had to get back on set.

“Next time” You mumbled.

You go to comic con with the cast. You were the only one who dressed up, you take pictures with them.

You did Q&A with the cast then did a photoshoot with some fans with Danielle. She did take a selfie with you, in the picture she kissed your cheek and you blushed.

“Action!” Director yelled.

You and Danielle didn't stop smiling but did shoot the scene together.

It's date night and you're feeling very nervous. You changed your shirt 5 times and you made up your mind. You left your apartment and went to buy flowers and your stomach starts to feel strange. You drive to Danielle’s loft and you knocked on the door.

“Wow you look so beautiful,” You said.

You blushed and you gave her the flowers and she loved it. She grabbed your arm and walked towards the elevator. You opened the door for her.

You take Danielle to an ice rink. You and Danielle hold hands while skating. She squeezed your hand a little tighter.

“I was super nervous to ask you out,” You said.

“I always wanted to tell you how I feel about you. I was avoiding you that day because you went on a date” Danielle said.

“I went on a date because my friend wanted to get with a girl he met. But she had a friend who was visiting her, so as a favor I tagged along. We didn't get along and she was a snob” You said.

“So are we official?” Danielle asked.

“I want us to be official if you want,” You said.

She pulled you close and kissed you in the middle of the ice rink.

“That is my answer which is yes,” Danielle said and she giggled.

You kissed her and she gently caresses your cheek.

After a while of ice skating, you and Danielle go to a restaurant to eat. She talked about her childhood and you did the same. You and Danielle just kept talking about everything and she is making you smile nonstop. After the date, you take her home, before you left, you felt her soft lips and you start to kiss her.

There were always pros and cons to being an idol. Despite the fact that it was your dream, the job was extremely demanding. Being the main dancer of your group left you with a lot of responsibility when it came to the performance aspect of things. With the busy schedules, fans, and contractual obligations, it was hard to find time for yourself or even time for relationships. Throughout your time, you have made some amazing friendships. One that even blossomed into something more.

You met Q at a music show. Your group was promoting your new single as well as Q’s group, The Boyz, promoting their new single, Bloom Bloom. He had an infectious smile and bubbly personality. Not to mention he was an insanely talented dancer and sweet singing voice. Q prided himself in performance. He always wanted to be as perfect as possible when it came to performing. He was a hard worker, and you definitely admired that.

The day you two met, Q gave you the sweetest smile and spoke in the softest tone. When you two introduced yourselves, Q told you to call him Changmin. He wanted all formalities off the table. You eventually got his number and texted with him nonstop. This turned into hanging out, which turned into being each other’s emotional supporters, which eventually led to Changmin finally growing the courage to ask you out. When the news broke, fans were ecstatic. Yes, some were upset and rather hurtful, but the majority were so extremely happy for you two that it drowned out the hate.

Waking up a little later than you usually do, you checked your phone as it buzzed on your bedside table.

Manager-nim: Be at the company building at 12:30. We have some important things to discuss.

A worrisome heaviness fell over your shoulders at the message. You hadn’t done anything wrong, at least not that you knew of. So for a message like this to come through, you were insanely anxious.

The day went by fast. Your arrival at the company building made your stomach coil up in knots as you entered, greeting some of the staff workers. You made your way to an open meeting room and noticed your manager.

“How are you feeling?” She asked softly.

“Nervous. I’m not in trouble am I?” You asked her.

She shook her head with a smile. “Quite the opposite actually. Come on.”

She opened the door for you as she laid her hand at the small of your back to guide you into the meeting room. At the giant table in the center of the room sat your CEO and another man you had never seen before.

“Please have a seat.” The CEO said as he gestured towards a chair opposite of the unrecognizable man.

You sat down as you swallowed back the lump in your throat.

“We’ve been doing some brainstorming. Preparations for your new album are going well, and we think that a pre-release will help give it more anticipation.” The CEO said as you let out the breath you were holding.

“So I’m not being asked to leave?” You said quietly.

The three people in the room with you laughed.

The man across from you shook his head. “Absolutely not. You’re one of the biggest stars out right now. We want to continue to see you grow. You may not recognize me, but I’m the manager of a group you know pretty well.”

You scrunched up your face as your CEO spoke. “We want you to do a collaboration stage to promote the new album.”

You suddenly felt a weight being lifted off your shoulders and felt giddy at the thought of getting to perform on stage. You felt at home on stage, especially when you were doing your absolute most favorite activity on the planet, dance. You were so caught up in your thoughts, you didn’t hear someone else walk into the room. You lifted your head and your eyes widened.

“Q,” You said softly.

The boy gave you a shy smile as he sat down opposite of you.

“Your The Boyz’ manager,” You said, finally putting two and two together.

The man nodded as he spoke. “You are a fabulous dancer, and we know that your album is going to focus on your dancing skills so we want to help promote that. We want you to do a collaboration stage with Q.”

Trying to fight back the smile growing on your face, you looked at your CEO. He smiled as he spoke.

“I know we are asking for a lot from you two, and we know that this might be weird as you two are dating, but we believe that you two will continue to be professional during preparations for this and during the time of the stage. Personal feelings aside, this will help you both. You with your album,” Your CEO said as he pointed at you. “And Q with The Boyz new album.”

The smile you were holding back finally made its way to your face as you watched your manager and CEO address your boyfriend. You could tell he was just as excited about this collaboration as you were while they both filled him in on what was at stake.

Your manager smiled as she looked between you and Q. “You both have outstanding skills and amazing creativity so we are leaving the theme and planning up to you. We have a date picked out which is about two and a half to three weeks from now.”

You both nodded as your CEO stood up. “Let us give you two some time to think it over.”

Both your managers and your CEO headed for the door as you watched them leave, feeling Q’s eyes on you.

“Stop staring,” You whispered as you heard him chuckle.

“I can’t help it. You’re just perfect.” Q whispered back as you shook your head, feeling heat creep up your neck.

You finally looked at him and smiled. He had no makeup on with glasses and unstyled hair. Q was wearing a light blue jumper with white details as he grinned.

“That’s not being professional, Ji.” You told him.

He leaned back in his seat as he shrugged. You stared a little longer, making the boy reciprocate with a cocky smirk. “Speaking on being professional.”

Rolling your eyes, you spoke. “Any ideas for our collab?”

Q nodded almost immediately. “I do, actually. I think you’ll like it too. We could even have Kevin help us out.”

He stood up, making his way around the table before taking a seat next to you. You giggled as he leaned forward slightly, his button nose that you adored so much bumping against yours.

“Forbidden forest.” He whispered.

You tilted your head as you thought about it. “That’s not a bad idea, Min.”

A dopey smile made its way to his face as he quickly leaned closer, pecking your lips as you squeaked.

“Changmin!” You whisper-yelled, looking towards the windows of the meeting room to make sure no one saw what he just did.

He watched you look around before laughing. “Relax, no one saw me kiss you. Now my idea, pretty good right?”

You looked back at Q as you nodded. “How’d you come up with it?”

Q smiled sheepishly. “Well, us of course. We’re idols, it’s almost like we’re forbidden to do anything that could hurt our careers.”

A small smile grew on your face as you whispered. “So a routine about our love story? I like it.”

Q laughed as the door opened.

“So, have we come up with a theme?” The CEO asked.

You both nodded before explaining the concept to the three of them. Q went more into detail with it before you both brought up Kevin helping with designing and bringing the concept to life. Once everything was finalized, you and Q were both released as you two wanted to get to work right away on the choreography.

“I’ll talk to Kevin when I head back to the dorm, but for now, let’s talk intros.” Q said as he sat down on the floor.

You sat next to him as you both brainstormed ideas. The both of you would stand up every so often, showing different combinations that could be used in the intro before you lost Q for a moment, continuously going over a certain combination that the both of you liked.

“Yeah, yeah. I like this one. What do you think?” You asked the boy who had gotten lost in watching you dance.

“Changmin?” You asked again, looking at him through the mirrors hanging on the wall.

He shook his head as he spoke. “Huh? Oh yeah. Yeah, it looks good.”

A blush grew on his cheeks making you giggle. You walked over to him as he shyly smiled. Wrapping your arms around his slim waist, you pecked his nose.

“What happened to being professional?” Q asked softly.

You smiled to yourself. “You just look so adorable when you’re shy. I couldn’t help myself.”

Q blushed again as he pulled you closer, burying his head into the crook of your neck. “Stop it. You're embarrassing me.”

Another giggle slipped past your lips as you pecked the side of his head that your lips could reach. He dug his face further into your neck as you unwrapped yourself from him.

“So, did you pay attention at all to what I was doing?” You asked.

You heard Q mumble something as he lifted his head. “I watch a little bit of it. Bits and pieces. It looks good, from what I did see.”

You smiled. “Then we have our intro.”

Q grinned as another blush bloomed on his cheeks.

“What now?” You laughed out.

“I’m starving.” Q said with a small smile.

Rolling your eyes, you pulled back from your boyfriend as you chuckled. “Let’s go get you some food.”

The next couple of weeks flew by pretty quickly. You made sure that Q stayed as focused as he possibly could be which proved to be even more difficult than you thought. The thing about Q is that when he was in a cuddly mood, there was no getting him out of it. Throughout your practices, you kept having to unravel the boy from around you. Especially during the last practice.

“Changmin, focus! This is our last practice.” You said, pushing the boy off of you for what felt like the umpteenth time.

You caught his gaze in the long mirror as he threw an over exaggerated pout, making you shake your head with a grin.

Q knew you were starting to crack despite your hard determination to stay focused. He just wanted to take the load off for you. You always worked so hard, and he just wanted to help you relax. Q walked up to you, wrapping his arms around you once more, making you sigh.

“Min, I’m serious.” You said as he tightly hugged you.

Q pecked your cheek as you stared at him through the mirror. “You need to relax. The choreography is perfect. There is no need to over rehearse. You worry too much. We’re going to be fine, so just let me hold you.”

You struggled slightly before relaxing in his arms. A victorious grin made its way to your boyfriend’s face as he cuddled into your neck.

“What if the fans don’t like it?” You suddenly asked, making Q lift his head.

“Why would you ask that?” He replied.

You shrugged. “I’m just worried. I know people still aren’t supportive of our relationship and,”

“I don’t care about that. This isn’t about those people who support us, and it isn’t even about the people that do. This stage is about us. It’s about you and your new album. It’s about The Boyz and myself,” He slipped his hand under your chin to lift your head so you would look at him. “Don’t worry about anybody else. Tomorrow is going to be perfect, and you are going to look even more amazing than you already do. We’re going to kill it.”

Smiling at his small pep talk, you pecked his lips as he gave you an adorable grin, dimples on full display.

You didn’t get much sleep that night. Tossing and turning over the performance kept you up. When you had arrived at the recording studio for M!Countdown, you slept your way through makeup and hair. The nerves of the performance were still fresh on your mind and growing as you got into your outfit. When you were completely ready, there was a knock on your door.

One of your stylists opened the door to reveal your dance partner. Q looked incredibly handsome with his dark hair styled back and himself fitted into an all black outfit that fit with yours. His makeup was done and his microphone hung around his neck as he smiled at you.

“Just like I predicted, you look amazing.” Q said with a smile as he walked towards you.

Shoving him lightly, you softly retorted. “So do you.”

“Just amazing? I don’t look handsome?” He questioned teasingly.

“Yes Changmin, you look very handsome.” You told him, making him cheer quietly.

As if sensing your nerves, he reached for both your hands as he gripped them tightly. “Still nervous?”

You looked at him. “Is it that obvious?”

Q chuckled. “You’re shaking.”

Closing your eyes, you took in a deep breath before opening them. Your boyfriend smiled at you before looking around the room. He turned back to you as he laid a kiss on your forehead.

“Hey, we’re going to be fine. Okay?” Q’s soft spoken tone made you relax almost instantly as he backed away from you. “We got this.”

You smiled with a nod. “We got this.”

Q led the way as the two of you headed to the stage. It looked absolutely incredible as you and Q got into formation. You started with your back to the camera and Q in front of you, facing forward. He eyed you before mouthing with a smile.

‘We’ve got this.’ He mouthed as the music started and the stage lit up.

The two of you danced like your lives depended on it, hitting every accent perfectly. Both of you were in sync with each other as the backup dancers killed their parts as well. The middle of the song started to play as the stage cleared for you and Q to do a solo part. You felt yourself get lost in the music as you danced your heart out. As the ending drew near, you finished strong before doing the last part of partner choreography that was left with Q as you both ended the performance.

The fans cheered loudly as you both headed off stage with the dancers falling behind you. As soon as you stepped off stage, Q couldn’t help but pull you into his arms, hugging you tightly.

“We did it! We did it! That was amazing! I told you you would kill it. You should listen to me more often.” Q said as his hands hung loosely around your waist.

You pulled him in for another hug as you both headed for your dressing room. You grabbed your phone to take pictures before hearing Q speak.

“Sunwoo texted me,” He started. “He says we’re trending on twitter.”

Immediately going to the app, you went to the trending page and smiled.

“What does ‘TUDC’ mean?” Q asked with a lopsided grin.

You giggled as you skipped over to him, pecking his cheek. “The ultimate dance couple.”

Q looked at you with big eyes as he laughed. “I like that, because we are amazing dancers.”

Looking at him, his face held a cocky grin. “You’ve been spending too much time with Sunwoo.”

He gave you a sheepish grin. “I can’t help it. He’s my member, so I’m around him 24/7.”

“Well I’m gonna have to tell him not to rub his cockiness off on you. The world can only handle one Sunwoo.” You said with a teasing grin.

Q pulled you into his arms as he kissed you. “I told you people would like our performance. We are trending on twitter because of how amazing you did.”

You looked away shyly. “I wasn’t the only one on the stage.”

“Yeah, but you definitely caught my attention.” Q said with a grin as he pecked your lips once more.

You rolled your eyes this time. “Looks like we'll have to do another collaboration stage soon so I can show off how good of a dancer my boyfriend is.”

Q smiled slightly before shrugging. “I much prefer keeping you to myself, but you can dance for me whenever you want to.”

Shoving him away from you, he laughed. “I’ll keep that in mind. I love you, Changmin.”

Your statement made Q grin as he pecked all over your face. “I love you too.”

Kenma is a well known and extremely successful video game streamer. He has millions of followers who would show up day after day and watch his hours-long streams. His followers of course know very little about his life outside of gaming. The shy streamer shared nothing of his personal life and his fans searched for any miniscule amount of information they could find. They all knew about his best friend Kuroo who would show up in his streams from time to time. They also knew he has a long time girlfriend, they heard you talking to him on a few streams before but you never come into view of the camera. The few times that they had heard her she was checking in on him. His followers have asked many times if he would ever reveal her and he always says no. He likes his private life to stay private, but little did they know that there is another reason other than privacy that he didn’t show his girlfriend in videos is because you are a very popular vlogger and cosplayer. Back when you were in high school he was in a few of your videos that are now private, long before either of you rose to popularity becoming the big names you are known as now. Some older viewers of yours know about your relationship and thankfully have kept that secret for you as well. But there are still people who just want to know anything they can.

Right now you are doing a live Q and A and can’t count how many times, ‘Who are you dating?’ has shown up in the chat. 

“Alright guys the Q and A can’t just be you asking me about my relationship. So for the final time no you don’t get to know his name or see what he looks like.” You say, before continuing on answering questions about upcoming conventions and cosplays you are working on.

“Okay guys it’s about time to bring this to its end…” At that moment Kenma peeks his head in and you look up over the camera. “Hey, I was just signing, off I’ll be there in a minute.” Kenma nods leaving the room.

“Ok I am out until next time.” You say ending the live.

Sitting back into your chair giving a little stretch before getting up and walking out of the room. You find your way to Kenma who is lounging on the couch switch in hand. You sit down next to him leaning your head on his shoulder.

“Sup, puddin’?” 

He shrugs, “Nothing, your stream went well. Except for all the people asking about me.” 

Another thing no one knows is that you moderate each other's chats while streaming. 

“They just want your beautiful face to grace their screens.” You joke. 

“Do you want them to know?” He asks.

“Nah, I prefer to keep you all to myself but I would be glad to stop all the questions.”

“That wouldn’t stop the questions. They will ask hundreds more after finding out.” He says.

“True. If we ever decide to tell them then I can finally convince you to dress up at a con with me.”

“Not a chance.” He shuts you down.

“Oh, come on.”

Your regular day could be hectic; you usually filmed early in the morning while Kenma was still sleeping before editing or working on your cosplay. Today you are filming several videos consecutively because you were going to a gaming expo with Kenma and you can’t film or stream while there together. You also needed to pack later for the both of you for the trip. Kenma could pack for himself but it's easier on both of you if you just do it. While you are busy getting everything you need to do done, Kenma sleeps on peacefully.

You may have thought that Kenma was asleep when you got out of the bed, but he hadn’t slept at all that night. He had big plans that you are unaware of. He talked with Kuroo and Hinata but neither helped calm his nerves. He lays awake in the bed exhausted, he can hear you filming in the next room. The sounds of your cheerful laughter makes him smile. He has been so exhausted trying to keep his plans a secret from you and soon it will all come to a close. He takes a deep breath before sitting up and dragging himself out of the bed. He pulls his suitcase out of the closet and starts packing. 

Once you are done filming you walk back to the bedroom to find Kenma has already packed his bad and started on yours. He is currently looking into your underwear drawer confused. 

“What are you doing?” You ask.

“Packing.” He says bluntly and you roll your eyes.

“I see that, I meant why?”

“We’re going on a trip.” This guy can’t be serious.

“I am also aware of that...”

“Why do you own so many different types of underwear.” He asks cutting you off.

“What?” 

“They’re organized in pairs, but why are there just so many?”

“Pairs?” 

“Tops and bottoms.” He hasn’t turned to face you looking at the drawers offendedly. 

“I was going to pack.”

“I couldn’t sleep so I just did it.”

“Did I wake you?” You ask. He shakes his head in response. “Okay, well thank you for packing, but I can take it from here.” 

Kenma makes no effort to move, giving the drawer one last glance before picking up a sheer mesh bra and panty set. “You should bring these.” He says, before kissing your forehead and walking away. 

A few hours later and your bag is packed you set it and Kenma’s next to the front door stopping  by his stream room to check in on him. You peek inside waiting to catch his attention. 

“I’m not streaming right now.” He says.

You walk over sitting in his lap and draping your hands over his shoulders. 

“What are you doing?”   

“Just editing some clips for while we are gone.”

“Ah, I need to go edit my videos too.” 

“You should probably go and get that done.” He says. 

“Trying to get rid of me.” You feign being hurt.

“No but I don’t want you to be stressed about it tomorrow while we are traveling.” 

You share a quick kiss before you are on your way out. Once he is sure you’ve gone to work on your own stuff he pulls the video program back up that he had been working in. It was a video he had already edited several times trying to assure it was perfect. 

The next morning bright and early, much to Kenma’s dismay, you were off heading to the convention. The first night would be a preview night, but that didn’t mean you could walk around as a couple. You actually avoided each other a bit so that no one would become suspicious. He hung with other game streamers while you met up with some vloggers you know, occasionally coming together your close friends always asked if it was difficult to do these events together when you had to pretend to not be a couple. And of course it could be difficult but you were both used to it at this point. During these events Kenma wished that everyone knew about your relationship already so that he could have you next time while he dealt with the hordes of people he encountered. By the end of the first night you are both completely exhausted and after your showers you fall asleep quickly. Kenma wakes up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat. He looks over to you sleeping peacefully and decides to go into the other room. He opens his laptop playing an RPG game, but he can’t focus and dies repeatedly. He grows frustrated until you plop down on the couch beside him startling him.

“You should be asleep.” He says.

“You’re one to talk. Why are you in here?”

“Can’t sleep.”

“What’s wrong?” You ask.

“Nothing.”

“I know you better than that. Something has been bothering you. I thought you were stressed about the trip but now I know I’m not sure.”

Kenma is quiet, he is normally quiet but this is a telling silence. 

“I’m just worried about tomorrow.” He sighs.

“What’s tomorrow? The tournament?”

“Yeah.” He lies. 

“You shouldn’t worry about something as silly as that you’ll be great.” You say to reassure him. 

Seeing you smile believing so wholeheartedly in him, helped relieve the immense amount of stress he had been feeling. 

“Ready to go back to bed.” You ask.

“Yeah.” 

Kenma finally got to sleep peacefully for the first time in weeks. The next morning trying to wake Kenma up requires effort and patience.

“Come on Puddin’. You have to get up.” 

“Don’t want to.” He mumbles. 

“We’ve got to get downstairs.” You say and receive no response. 

“I’ll give you kisses.”

“You’ll do that anyways.” You hear muffled from under the covers. 

“You are right, Okay what do I have to do to get you out of bed.”

“Nothing I’m not getting up.”

“I’m not going to keep playing nice with you.” No response. “Okay.”

You pull the covers off of him climbing over him and straddling his hips. He cracks an eye open looking up at you and moves his hands to your hips. 

“What is your plan?” 

“Get up.” You say adamantly. 

“You don’t scare me.” 

“I have an incriminating photo of you.”

“You would never post that.”

“You’re right I wouldn’t, I have a better plan. I will send it in the group text to the team.”

He opens both of his eyes wide, “You wouldn’t”

You pull your phone out, “Try me.”

“You’re mean but fine.” He pouts sitting up and coming face to face with you. 

You smile at him, “See that wasn’t so hard.”

He kisses your forehead and taps your legs for you to get up. Down at the expo today Kenma is busy meeting his fans, you watch from a distance and even from where you are standing you can see how uncomfortable he is. You want nothing more to go over and comfort him but you know you can’t. You send him a text instead,

He opens the message and smiles, the crowd notices and breaks out in questions and you are glad you weren’t over there. Later on that same day you meet up before the tournament starts.

“This is so exhausting. How do you do this so often?” He asks 

“Mmm, I’m much more of a people person that you. But I think I just got used to it.” You look at the clock nearby, “Alright it looks like it’s time to head over for the tournament.” 

He hums in agreement getting up and heading out of the door before you. You wait a few minutes after he leaves before leaving yourself and going to take your seat watching the tournament begin. Kuroo shows up taking the seat next to you, “Hey, what’s up?” Kuroo says.

“What are you doing here?” You ask him.

“Wow you hurt me and I thought we were friends.” Kuroo says clutching his hands close to his chest.

“I’m happy to see you. I'm just surprised. Shouldn’t you be at work.”

“I got out of it.” He says proudly. 

You raise an eyebrow at him, “Oh yea do they know you’re at a gaming expo?”

“You don’t tell my secret and I won’t tell yours.”

“I don’t have any secrets.”

“So your millions of followers know about Kenma now.”

“Shut up.”

The announcer comes out and introduces the gamers playing in the tournament. You and Kuroo cheer loudly and embarrass Kenma just a bit. The tournament has been going well, everyone making quiet conversation, Kenma has gotten into a groove playing intensely. Suddenly the power goes out. You feel Kurro’s hand grip your wrist, people murmur around you. ‘Sorry for the interruption everyone. We will fix the power and be back momentarily.’ The announcer says. 

“Are you afraid of the dark?” You ask Kuroo.

“No, are you?”

“No but I am also not holding onto you.”

“I’m keeping you safe.”

“From what exactly.”

“Creeps.” 

You laugh knowing he is completely serious. The screen on the stage flickers before lighting up and everyone's attention is directed towards it. A video begins to play, “Hey, it’s Kenma.” You say to no one in particular. He looks nervous almost fidgeting before he takes a breath and starts talking, “Hi everyone I am Kozuken if you didn’t know I am a pro - gamer.” You stand and watch trying to figure out what this video is, “I am not good at this, but I made this video for something important. My followers have always asked about my girlfriend and for privacy reasons I never show her in my videos. But she is the.. I don’t…  there aren’t words to describe her.. But this video is for her.” There are a series of awws heard all around. The video shows a montage consisting of photos and video clips in chronological order, starting from when they first met in middle school to high school with the volleyball team, graduation from high school. When they lived together in college and the moments of their life until now. You are so engrossed in the video you don’t see everything moving around you. As the montage ends Kenma is back on the screen. “She is my heart and soul and I can’t imagine my life without her and so if she would just turn around I have something to ask her.” The video ends and when you turn around Kenma is behind you down on one knee ring in hand. 

“Will you marry me?”  

You stand there in shock because you hadn’t suspected it at all but you can see him starting to panic from your silence. 

“Yes, of course I will.”

You had forgotten you were at a public event surrounded by thousands of people until the crowd cheers startling the both of you. He stands sliding the ring on your finger giving you a quick kiss on the cheek. There are cameras flashing and people cheering all around. You are ushered out by the event coordinators helping you back to your room. Once inside with the doors closed you are finally able to take a deep breath and take in what happened. You feel a rush of excitement and jump wrapping your arms around him. 

You let out a high pitched squeal, “Oh my god. I can’t believe that just happened. I had no idea…” You begin to ramble. 

Kenma just looks at you in awe smiling. He listens to your rambling just happy he was finally able to get that done and even happier that you said yes. You two stop when you hear a knock followed by the door promptly opening.

“Hey lovebirds, please tell me you’re decent. Wouldn’t want to see that again.” Kuroo says walking into the room.

“If you would stop walking in without anyone prompting you that wouldn’t have happened the first time.” Kenma says as your face heats up at the thought of that incident. 

“Ah, just yell out before I can see anything.” He smirks, “You know to let me know. But I guess that could be confused with the other kind of yelling out.”

“Okay, what do you want?” You ask before he can say anything else. 

“To celebrate with you of course. I’ve seen this from the very beginning now let’s break out the champagne and celebrate since you know pudding head finally decided to announce his love for you to the world.”

“To the world?” You ask. 

“Oh yeah that whole thing was live streamed on both of your channels.” Kuroo says.

You look to Kenma who is avoiding eye contact, “Is that true?” 

“Yea, sorry I didn’t ask it would’ve ruined the surprise.”

“It’s okay I’m just surprised and a little scared to check my phone now.” 

“Do that later after you’re completely blitzed.” Kuroo cheers popping the cork on the champagne. 

You spend the rest of the afternoon cuddled next to Kenma drinking way more than you should and talking with Kuroo. Late into the evening Kuroo says his goodbyes before heading for his own hotel room. You and Kenma are lying in bed and you can see your phone flicker every few seconds with a new notification. The ringer had been turned off long ago. You turn over in bed to face Kenma gently moving the strands of hair from blocking his eyes. He grabs a hold of your hand bringing it to his lips and kissing it. 

“Tomorrow is going to be a very long day.” You say.

“It is .” Kenma nods in agreement.

“At least I can stick close to you. Since everyone knows now.”

“Yea that will be good.”

You have a big smile plastered on your face. “What?” Kenma asks.

“I’m just happy.”

“Go to sleep.”

The next day things are eventful normally the final day of any event would be calm and this was anything but that. Fans are still buzzing over the news of you two and the engagement surprise offering the congratulations. The day is overwhelming for both of you and by the time it is over you are ready to be back in your own peaceful and quiet home. When you finally decide to check social media you are bombarded by thousands of photos, videos, clips and mentions. Most are positive but there are a few critical tweets here and there. It is just too much and you decide it can be avoided for a little while longer. It can’t be avoided forever. Both of your careers require you to react eventually and it will come sooner rather than later since you have filming and lives planned. At the house you want to collapse on your bed, you slowly change waiting for Kenma to come in but he doesn’t. When you find him he is in his streaming room staring at the three monitors. 

“Couldn’t wait to play.”

“”Hmm, I’m not playing.” He says turning slowly to face you but looking back at the screen. As you approach him and the screen comes into view you see that he is in fact scrolling through twitter, something that he never does. He opens his arms up a gesture you have come to know as him asking you to sit in his lap. You do just that sitting between his legs leaning your back against his chest. 

“So why are you scrolling through twitter?” You ask.

“It’s faster on my pc than my phone.” 

“Understandable, the question is still the same.”

“I had a lot of notifications.” 

“Well when you decide to abruptly make your private relationship with another well known creator public that happens.” You say.

“Are you sure you’re okay with this?”

“Yes.”

“Well so long as I am with you I am always happy.” He says hooking his chin over your shoulder.

“You should probably stop scrolling. It’s not good.” You say and he hums in agreement. “We can take a bath together and cuddle while playing an easy game.” 

The next week was hectic, you two tried to continue as usual. But during Kenma’s first stream back his chat was spammed with question upon question about you and your relationship. Why weren’t you on his stream, after three hours he ended his stream early out of frustration. You had a little better control in your own live for the most part, you started your live by saying you would not be discussing your personal life regardless of them knowing about the two of you now. You thanked everyone who sent their congratulations but still you had to remind them that you and Kenma still valued your privacy and not to go over to his channel and bother him. 

“We’re going to have to do a Q and A aren’t we.” Kenma says over dinner. 

“We don’t have to do anything, everything that we do is our own choice and our own decision.” 

“Do you think they will ever stop asking?”

“It may die down after a few weeks but there will always be questions.” 

You two end up announcing a joint live Q and A after too many of Kenma’s streams kept getting spammed with questions. 

“Hello everyone and welcome to our first and probably only ever joint Q and A.” You announce. 

You can feel the nervousness seeping out of Kenma, he was barely comfortable answering questions during his streams and then he had a buffer. Most of his focus on the game. It was strange to be here with Kenma if anyone had ever said when you started dating that one day he would propose to you with nearly a million people watching you would have thought it was a lie. Hell if someone had mentioned that something like this would happen even a month ago you wouldn’t believe it.

“I hope you all don’t mind listening to me talk because getting a lot out of this one is practically impossible.” You say gesturing to Kenma. “So we have a list of pre submitted questions we will be going through and after we will answer questions from the chat.” 

You hold up a notecard with a question for Kenma to read, “ ‘Where did you meet?’, Seriously that’s boring.”

“Okay so we actually met way back as first years in middle school. I was an exchange student and Kenma was my first friend in Japan.” Kenma nods along not feeling the need to add more.

“ ‘What was your first impression of me?’ Oh that’s a good one.” You read.

“You were quiet and shy. I don’t know where that went.”

“I got more comfortable around you. Is this your way of telling me to be more quiet?”

“No.”

“ ‘How long have you been dating?’ ” He reads, “Since high school.” 

“We have been dating for seven years since our first year of high school.” You say. 

There are comments in the chat talking about you being high school sweethearts and of course none of them would have ever had a chance with either of you since you have been together so long. You two have finally gotten into a groove answering questions, laughing and telling stories. Kenma loosens up after a while almost forgetting you are being watched live. You had gone through cards you had prepared and are now taking questions from the chat. 

“ ‘When are you going to get married?’ ” Kenma reads.

“Well since we’ve been engaged for less than two weeks no idea. Seriously take a guess and maybe you’ll be right. We probably won’t mention it publicly anyway. We love you guys but don’t want any wedding crashers.”

“ ‘What do you argue about the most?’ ” You read.

“Sleep probably?” Kenma says looking at you. 

“Yeah neither of us have the best sleep schedules and we argue telling the other that they need to sleep.” 

“ ‘Who wears the pants in the relationship?’ ”

“We like it best when neither of us are wearing pants.”

“ ‘Who said I love you first?’ ” 

“Well we were friends for a long time before we started dating So I love you was just a pretty normal thing to say like hello or goodbye by the time our relationship became romantic.” You say. 

“She did.” Kenma answers.

“Care to elaborate.”

“No”

“C’mon, you obviously remember and I don’t so it’s only fair that you share.” 

With a huff, “The first time you said it was when you were leaving to visit your home over the summer break. You hugged me and said I love you and that I would be the first person you saw when you got back.”

You are left speechless that he remembers that so vividly. The chat of course is filled with hearts and everyone talking about how cute it is that he remembered. 

“Okay everyone this is where we are ending this tonight because nothing else could top that. We hope that you are having a good morning, afternoon, or evening wherever you are in the world. Until next time.” You say ending the live. “Oh my god were you trying to make me cry on live.” 

“No.”

“Well I almost did. You do realize you are so cute and anyone who was not simping for you before that definitely is now.” 

“Why all I did was say what happened.” 

You give him a kiss, “Yea and that is exactly why.”

“That makes no sense.”

A crossroad

Antonio x Halstead!Reader

Summary: AU where Antonio stays in the unit until season 7 (because I don’t like how he got written out :)). He found himself at a crossroad where he thinks he isn’t the right fit for the team anymore. Reader is Jay’s sister working as a Detective at another precinct.

Antonio walked up to your place, you could hear his footsteps even before his keys reached your apartment door. “It’s not lock-” you screamed from your kitchen but he already made his way inside. He took off his boots and his jacket, and made his way to the fridge and pulled out a beer.

You looked at him, he hadn’t said a word but he glanced at you finally recognizing your presence. “Sorry babe, thought you’re still at work,” he said while taking a swig leaning back to the fridge. His jaw clenched, his eyes were filled with fire, as if he’s ready for a fight.

“Woah, I’d say welcome home, but what happened? Rough day?” You turned to him, spatula on your hand. “Something like that,” he sighed.

“Wanna talk about it over this Arroz con Pollo once it’s ready?” You asked softly.

“I guess,” he gulped his beer this time.

“And maybe give your girlfriend a kiss before you go shower and change?” you walked toward him this time, pursing a smile.

His gazed softened as he reached his arms out to you and pulled you into a hug, “I’m sorry. It’s been really tough at the office today. And we’ve promised each other not to let work gets in between us.” he mumbled on your shoulder. You can feel that something is weighing on him.

“And you did not. Not yet anyway.” you pulled away and kissed his cheek, “Now go shower and we can have dinner,” he nodded and made his way to the bathroom.

Antonio was much calmer after his shower, much more after he filled his stomach with food, “This is soooo good, almost as good as mine.” he smiled. Usually you’d throw a napkin or anything within proximity at him but knowing he had a rough day you just chuckled, “If that’s your way to say ‘thank you my beautiful girlfriend, food is delicious’ I say you’re welcome,” you smiled.

“Of course I meant thank you, ‘almost as good’ is the highest of compliment,” said Antonio while finishing his plate. His expression changed to a tired face as he let out a sigh, “You don’t know how much I need this after today,”

“What happened? Ruzek picked a fight with you again?” You asked.

“Hmm.. yeah, he was on my list of problems today. But…” He trailed off and left his word hanging.

“But what? I’m sorry, it must have been a very hard day.” you looked deeply into him.

“Yeah, I don’t know if this is right… but I’m thinking to quit Intelligence.” he was hesitant at the beginning however his raspy voice was loud and clear when he mentioned about quitting.

You’re at loss for words, trying to control your expression. You didn’t even know whether to stop him from doing it or to support his thinking.

“I…are you, are you sure?” You stuttered.

Antonio sighed even longer this time, “That’s the thing, I’m not sure.” He grabbed another beer from the fridge and took a seat on the couch after clearing up the table.

You’re still sitting at the dining table, frozen, running different words to say to him.

“Babe?” He glanced at you.

You snapped back to reality and made your way to the couch, sitting next to him. “I’m sorry. I’m at loss for words. Don’t know what to say.” you said honestly, “I thought you love working at Intelligence,” you gazed softly at him.

“Yeah, I do. I like working the case. Our cases are always the toughest one, we put away the evil of evil and make the city safer. That’s what I love about being part of the team.” Antonio explained, you sensed a but coming.

“But…you know how Voight and the unit works. It’s not always conventional,” he continued.

“Yes, but you already know that.” you replied and he nodded at your sentence, “Most of the time it worked to our benefit. But lately, every one is trying to be like Voight, you know? Using any means necessary to solve a case. Maybe, except your brother. But Jay’s also has his way of letting things happen. And I can’t. I can’t do it. Not anymore.” he shook his head.

Antonio went on explaining how the last few years went down for him and the team. How they dealt with Al’s murderer - how Ruzek blamed him over not standing up for Voight though it wasn’t the case, how Voight handled Lopez, how Burgess let Q brought a gun to a sting and ended up killing the target, how Upton took care of Vanessa’s mess by planting evidence, the list goes on. And Antonio always got caught in the middle not wanting to condone their actions though not condemning either. But because of that, he was seen as the enemy of the team.

Beyond from short stories that Jay and Antonio shared with you, you didn’t actually know about how the Intelligence team works. As Jay’s sister and Antonio’s girlfriend you have good relationships with the team outside of work. You’ve known them to be good people and solid cops. But getting all of this new information, you can only feel for your boyfriend. You know that Antonio is the boy scout cop who does everything by the book. So these questionable methods that the team uses really challenge his ethics.

“I don’t care how Voight runs his shop. He brought me in to the team knowing already how I handle cases, and we always know how to work with each other despite our differences. But the rest of the team? I’m not sure anymore. These young folks think that Voight’s way is the only way forward. That doesn’t sit right by me.” he complained.

After Jules death, Lindsay’s departure, and Al’s gone, you suspected that Antonio’s feelings towards the team has changed. Team dynamic and roles have shifted and you’re not sure where Antonio sees himself within the team, and how the team positions Antonio. 

Your suspicion only grew stronger after he told you what happened today.

A patrol officer got killed under Intelligence assignment to do a search at a suspected drug dealer’s home. But it was the wrong house, the officer came in hot and drew his gun already when coming inside. Much to everyone’s surprise, they only found a couple who are eating their lunch. Things got real bad, real quick when the husband - an ex-marine - panicked seeing a gun pointed at his direction and pulled his gun from under the table. In a matter of seconds, multiple shots were fired. The first officer died at the scene, the ex-marine is clinging to life at Med, the wife and the officer’s partner got several GSWs albeit not lethal.

The problem? They didn’t have a search warrant. It was an intel from a CI, a real bad one. Ruzek rushed it because a suspected drug dealer has been threatening Michele Sovana, Al’s only remaining daughter. With Ruzek now being questioned by Internal Affairs, the team turned to Antonio to pull in favor from ASA Peter Stone to issue a back dated search warrant to get Ruzek out of trouble.

SKAM FRANCE BTS MASTERPOST

This is a master post of BTS anecdotes told in interviews, at cons, screenings and on social media. Don’t click the read more if you don’t want to lose some of the magic. I know sometimes knowing too much of how a show was shot can ruin it. Also, it’s very obvious that there was more promo starting around season 3 than for the first two seasons, don’t hold it against me. Feel free to message me if you think of something else as I must have forgotten a ton of things.

CASTING, REHEARSALS, BTS IN GENERAL

Skam France had the rights for the 4 seasons first but had to follow the original script almost to a T for the first 2 and if the audience was big enough then they would be allowed to distance themselves from OG

Skam France casted actors that were as close personality wise to their characters as possible, which made it easier for the cast to identify with their characters and made the friendships developping between the characters more believable since it was also developping off screen

They were not allowed to cast underaged actors who would have been closer to the real age of the characters due to the long hours of the shooting conditions

Most of the actors come from theatre and many had no or little previous experience with shooting for a camera before

The cast isn’t allowed to watch the clips before they air.

Most of the clothes they wear in the show are their own.

During rehearsals of the first seasons, Philippine went to the board with everyone’s names on it and wrote something funny next to Zoe’s name and wanted to send it to her but she messed up and published it on her ig stories, leaking the entire cast when it was still supposed to be a secret.

Lula’s first reaction when she got the script and “met” Daphné was “oh no I’m scared. I just want to slap her, she’s insufferable”

Assa almost didn’t audition for two reasons: the casting call didn’t specify they were looking for a woman of color and French casting calls almost always say whether they are specifically looking for a black woman. If it says nothing then they are usually looking for a white person. She thought she had no chance because of that. Second reason, after accepting the casting call, she did some research and found out OG Sana was from the Maghreb and she’s not. But her agent convinced her to go through with it, the only thing the skam france team wouldn’t negotiate was that they wanted a Muslim actress. There was no way they would have casted a non muslim actress/actor for Imane and Sofiane.

Skam France was the first TV show on French TV to have a black muslim  woman wearing a hijab as a main character

Paul, Robin and Axel knew each other before shooting, they’d met in Avignon.

Coline was still in her last year of high school when she shot the first two seasons.

Niels is the one who came up with a raccoon as Eliott’s spirit animal

They shoot about 15 minutes of usable content per day which is impressive (it’s usually 2-3 for movies released in theatres, 5-7 for TV programs)

When France TV told David the first two seasons were a success and they were renewing the show, he gave them a list of things he wanted to change so that he’d agree to come back to direct the next seasons, including a different camera, renewing the writers team (they included Niels), storylines, the ig content, etc. The new camera they got was a SONY Venice which allows them to play a lot with the focus/blur ratio and the cold and warm undertones, which made a major shift in the visual quality of seasons 3 and 4 compared to the previous 2.

David named Eliott after his son.

Having the teaser from Eliott’s POV was David’s idea. It’s the first remake to have a clip from the French Even’s POV

The bus stop from season 3 is fake, it doesn’t exist. It wasn’t even shot in Paris itself but in Saint Ouen.

Maxence didn’t watch OG - besides the towels in the bathroom clip - because he wanted to create his own Eliott without being too influenced, and he didn’t watch s1 and 2 of skam france either because he wanted Eliott to discover the characters without knowing their backgrounds.

Maxence wasn’t supposed to audition. He wanted to be done with his acting school before shooting anything but the head of the casting team came to watch a public class at his school and asked him to audition for Eliott at the end. David and Niels knew right away he was the one. Niels watched the audition tapes and was very impressed with another actor but within the first 3 seconds of watching Maxence, he knew it wouldn’t be anyone else. Maxence met Axel after the 3rd call back and they clicked right away. He’d broken his foot two days earlier so he was in crutches. They watched Even’s manic episode and had to improvise a similar scene but had to do with the crutches. They also went for a drink before shooting and they talked for hours, their connection was instantaneous. 

When he learned Maxence was cast, Axel went on his instagram and saw the model pictures and thought he was way too hot with the abs and everything and he himself would look like a potato during the nude scenes next to him. So he got a coach and for 3 months he trained and got on a very strict diet. He was disappointed that there were no shots where you could actually see his abs properly in Skam. He had also said months before that he had gotten a coach because before they started shooting seasons 3 and 4, he had met up with Marilyn to get advice on how to carry a season and she had told him to get a coach otherwise he wouldn’t be able to keep up with the pace. So what is the truth?

It leaked that Maxence was casted in July 2018 because someone on a Korean website recognized his shoes in an IG story from when he’d been spotted at the airport months earlier but it was kept mostly under wraps. Then his and Lais’s names leaked too a couple of months later but most people hadn’t seen his face before the trailer.

David asked Axel and Maxence to give up their phones and social media during the couple of months they were shooting to be really focused and not get distracted by the outside world and they mostly did. Axel bought an mp3 to still have music, he wrote “LUCAS ♥” on it with a white out pen. He created a playlist for Lucas, including songs like Run Boy Run and I love you by Woodkid, and To Build a Home by the Cinematic Orchestra.

Maxence’s process to get ready for a shot: he does yoga and dances a lot in the morning. he puts music on and paces a room while picturing himself standing on the edge of a cliff and if at some point he feels like falling and loses his balance, it means he’s got it. He asks that all the scripts he gets be printed on the right side of the page and on the left he takes notes about what the character is feeling through 7 different states: love, hate, fear, power, vulnerability, sex and i hate myself for not remembering the last one. To play a scene properly, you have to conjure up 4 states to create one emotion. He loves that David respects his method and is able to adapt to every member of the cast’s method. He also uses his body as a tool, for example if his character has to feel lonely or unsure, he will curl up into a ball for an hour without moving and then he’ll be in the right mindset because his body is telling him he’s isolated. That’s the method he used for Eliott, he created “lost scenes” that weren’t in the script, moments in between scenes with Lucas, to get more into Eliott’s mindset.

Maxence wrote a letter to Eliott, drew a picture of him, and spent hours adding notes to the script about his personality before even trying to get into his mind. 

There was a contest for the drawings in season 3. Maxence participated but didn’t get picked. Jeanne Lelièvre did!

All the social media content for seasons 3 and 4 were shot on the same day in December 2018 which is why you can see heavy winter clothing even when the content was published in May. For season 3, most ideas were Axel’s, and Maxence said no to 90%. 

While shooting for seasons 3 and 4, Axel was also on stage every night for theatre

To prepare for his role in s3, Axel watched CMBYN, Moonlight, and The Office 

They received more feedbacks from international fans than French ones at first. It was even a private joke between Niels and David, there were no comments in French on Youtube. Then the piano clip happened and David’s phone went crazy with notifications. He was in the editing room with Jérémy and the buzzing from his phone was non stop. They banned phones in the editing room after that.

Skam France owes part of its popularity to how accessible the cast and crew are, either on social media or IRL, with 6 entirely free events organized to get the fans and the cast and crew to meet, watch episodes together and have Q&As during seasons 3 and 4.

Skam France shooting locations have become extremely popular for the fans to hang out at and leave little mementos, to the point that the mayor of Paris has asked the team to pick completely untraceable locations, or make sure they are not in Paris itself for the next seasons

Skam France was the first remake to get renewed for 2 (possibly 4?) original seasons

Alexia and Daphné were supposed to have their own seasons they but couldn’t get the green light from Norway. He got the idea for Arthur’s story quite quickly after but they had to rework the scripts for seasons 5 and 6 a lot. Robin talked to David about his addiction to video games and how it could be a potential theme but in the end David chose deafness instead.

It was Coline’s idea to make Alexia bi. There was a scene when Alexia mentions an ex boyfriend and she asked David “why wouldn’t it be a girl?” and his only reaction was “Ok. What’s her name?” and that’s how bi!Alexia was born.

It was also Coline’s idea to give Alexia’s colorful hair. She later regretted it because she had to bleach her hair twice to get the blue to stay and it fried her hair.

Assa’s worst memory of shooting s1 and 2 is when the girls have to carry Daphné, she kept dropping her and was afraid of hurting her.

Marilyn and Lula ruined the scene when the girls are having breakfast all together when they are on the countryside because they couldn’t stop laughing over carrots and the crunchy noise it was making. It was the last day of shooting and their nerves were all over the place.

SEASON 3

The first scene in the common room didn’t hit them that much, they didn’t realize the impact it would have because the whole shooting was just David yelling at them to look at each other then stop then do it again then stop etc

Nobody realized how big of an impact the “Moi c’est Eliott” line would have and then when they watched the clip, it was obvious.

The check de gang wasn’t scripted, it was Paul’s idea to make it a running gag. David wasn’t sure about it but after doing it just once, he was sold. Basile tripping over the bench was also Paul’s idea but he didn’t warn anyone he was doing it so Xavier started laughing and the camera was shaking so bad that they couldn’t keep it and had to reshoot the scene. They noticed during the editing process that Robin also tripped at the same time in the background during one take so they had to keep that one. 

Lucas playing the piano was Axel’s idea even though he didn’t know how to play properly. He sent a text to David at the end of June with different ideas for songs and David picked the most difficult one. He then practiced anytime he could until they shot the scene in october. It took him two months to learn it completely and then a little more to make it look easy.  (Niels later said it was his idea and that Axel was a cheeky little shit). Maxence had never heard Axel play the song before that moment so Eliott’s reaction is genuine. He didn’t think he’d manage to get in the right state of mind because the apartment was too small for the whole team and they were all very cranky, it was 3 am, but the moment he heard the first notes, he forgot all about it and was completely amazed.

The infiltration party: David asked that Basile pushes Daphné a bit, like shoves her out of the way when they have to run, but they hadn’t had the time to rehearse anything. After a couple of takes, Paul pushed Lula a bit too hard and she fell on her knees quite hard. He felt so bad because he never wanted to hurt her and they all had to take a half an hour break because her knees hurt. David after that was like OKAY NO MORE STUNTS EVER.

Axel got mad at the makeup department because the two lines on his face were not on the same place when they shot the outside scene and then once inside. He got so angry he could have cried that they wouldn’t believe him. So during the shooting he looked straight at the camera and wiped them away with the back of his hand to force them to draw the lines properly.

The first kiss scene: they had been shooting for 12 hours. It was raining intermittently all day so the team had to pack up the cameras often and wait it out when it was too much. They ran 4 hours late. They had a fake rain machine but no change of clothes so they could only shoot once. Below the bridge is not easily accessible, it’s a long path from the gate, so they used ropes to get things up and down from the bridge. They only had one shot. They had already shot kissing scenes but David was always telling them it had to be more passionate and kept yelling at them to use more tongue so for that shot they gave it their everything on the first (and only) take they did. 5 minutes later they were shooting the Remember scene.

They shot all the scenes in the colloc on the first week of shooting. Minute by minute was shot right before Samedi 9h17. They had to restart shooting samedi 9h17 four times because something wasn’t working between Axel and Maxence, they were clumsy and stressed. After taking 5 minutes to themselves with David to remind themselves of how pivotal the scene was, Axel and Maxence said they were ready and they shot the opening scene that made the cut.

The Phase de latence clip : Axel and Maxence felt like terrible actors because they had already shot all the big very emotional scenes and this was a bit tamer since Eliott doesn’t show much emotions. They felt that way about all the scenes shot in the school.

The Fête de trop clip: They shot the fight with the guys 8 times but it wasn’t enough for David until Robin slapped Axel on the 9th. After that they shot Chloé yelling at Lucas. Axel was still out of it due to the slap he’d gotten earlier that he hadn’t expected. At 3am, they finished with Lucas injuring his hands. Axel cracked the metacarpus in his hand and only told David two days later.

Leo has talked about the coming out bench scene and said Yann took it a bit too far and was too dramatic, he was like “i don’t know if i can say that… but c’mon… I mean. C’mon… that’s your best friend… who cares if he didn’t tell you right away, he had bigger problems on his mind, right?”He would have done it differently.

The “viens on n’en parle pas” scene was shot in 50 minutes in the middle of the night on the second day of shooting. Marilyn and Axel’s emotions were briming under the surface so it was one of the easiest scene to shoot.

The hardest scene to shoot for David in s3 was the intervention clip. It was the second day of shooting, the 4th clip of the day. Axel’s first take was not good enough and David was scared it would set the tone for the season. He had a stern talk with Axel. Thankfully, they shot a second time and it was the right one, everyone on set was crying and Axel was completely drained.  

The scene where they go get the couch from the creepy place is the one they shot last for season 3.

The paint scene: they only had one try. Axel and Maxence hadn’t shot together for a week, David had done it on purpose and they’d missed each other. It was shot on a Friday at the exact time it was supposed to happen IRL. The whole thing lasts 14 minutes long. David took their pants off because they were slipping too much. Xavier almost stopped filming he was like “is he serious? did he just take their pants off??”. They shot a part when one of them slips on the ground and the other follows but that didn’t make the cut. There were 25 people on set, everyone in a suit to protect from the paint, but Axel and Maxence forgot everyone and just got lost in their characters. When David yelled cut, Axel and Maxence didn’t hear him and kept making out. David had to separate them. Then they all were so happy that they yelled their joy but then saw all the people who were behind the camera, and everyone was crying, like they had witnessed something too intimate. They showered for an hour, emptied 2 bottles of soap and even then it wasn’t enough, Axel still had paint running down his neck at a party that evening. The music used on set was Dreamer, the Khlar remix. Maxence was upset it wasn’t the one they ended up using in the clip, it felt like a betrayal because it “wasn’t the song they had made love to”.

Maxence fought with the costume department over the briefs he was wearing in the paint scene, because they had shot the PONI scene first and he could remember which ones he was wearing for the PONI scene and he wanted to wear the same ones. He was sure people would notice.

The first scene Maxence ever shot was the PONI scene. 

The boat scene was quite special. It was a big moment for Maxence, he was extremely nervous, so David reduced the team on set as much as he could. Maxence got upset at Axel for being too present during the scene. Being used to a theatre stage, Axel is always a bit over the top, eating his ham with a flourish, stuff like that, but this was supposed to be Eliott’s big scene. Maxence asked for a break and told David that if Axel didn’t tone it down, he’d kill him. That also got resolved quickly. 

The Remember Me scene: the priest is Lula’s dad. Lula and Niels both make a cameo in the church. They forgot to warn Axel that a car was coming when he’s running so his reaction is genuine. He was running so fast, the minivan with the camera couldn’t keep up so they shot it twice. They shot Lucas finding Eliott under the bridge just after shooting the first kiss. Maxence only had 4 minutes to get into the right state of mind which was extremely challenging and during that time he had to change his clothes, dry his hair and redo his makeup. Axel wasn’t feeling very well, he was exhausted after having shot 4 clips that day, but David told him he could do it so he ran on the path to the bridge harder than ever (David thought he was going to hurt his sinews) and when he fell to his knees, he was close to passing out, you can actually hear when he says the first “t’es pas tout seul” that he’s about to throw up / can’t breathe properly. They only shot that part once and after it was done David told them they should hug each other because what they had just done with Lucas and Eliott was precious and a moment to remember.  

There was supposed to be a scene after the Remember scene but it was cut. Eliott is sleeping, Lucas brings him food and starts reading his book and then Eliott wakes up. They say hi, Eliott is confused about the time it is, it’s already late afternoon. He says he needs to leave, but Lucas tells him no. He keeps saying he has to go, he has to go to his parents. Lucas tells him it’s fine, they’ve been warned of where he is. But he says he’s got to leave anyway. Lucas asks him why he keeps insisting he needs to leave and Eliott tells him he just doesn’t want Lucas to see him like this. Lucas tells him he doesn’t mind. Then he starts teasing him, saying Eliott just wants to leave because he doesn’t want to own up to the fact that he lied to him. Eliott is confused. Lucas reminds him that he’d said there was no way he would ever be able to sleep next to a guy that hot (on the boat) and yet here they are actually taking naps. So Eliott must have lied to Lucas about finding him hot. Eliott says he’s an idiot and Lucas tells him that at least he’s not a liar at that what matters is that he is his idiot. “Congrats, you’re now the owner of an idiot… more or less hot” Eliott tells him he’s won and asks what they should do now. Lucas answers that they should start by saying hi properly and they kiss, and when they pull back they just look at each other whispering “salut”. Axel said he was upset at David for cutting the scene because it was so soft and intimate, he called him when he watched the episode to ask why he cut it, but it would have been too repetitive with the following Lundi 17h21 clip.

Lundi 17h21 is the second clip Maxence shot. Lucas’s “T’es beau quand tu rigoles” wasn’t scripted, Axel changed the script, he was supposed to say something about liking seeing Eliott smile.

The Je t’aime scene: the first shot they did was the most emotional one, it was one of the hardest scenes emotionally for Axel. He was crying so so much, he had tears and snot everywhere, and Maxence was just wiping it away so tenderly that David thought about keeping that shot but the snot was REALLY disgusting so they didn’t keep it. They shot it a few more times, except that then Maxence had to leave. So the shot of Lucas saying Moi aussi is actually to David. Axel said it didn’t feel weird because he does love David so it felt true.

SEASON 4

Assa sat down with the team before they wrote anything for the season and told them her whole life story. It lasted 4 hours and she cried when reading the script because they had included so many things she had told them, it felt like her and Imane were one.

Making Assa dance was Philippine’s idea. David asked her what she thought about when thinking of Assa, something that was really her and Philippine said “Dada, you should see her dance”

Moussa and Assa knew each other before since they had filmed together 5 years prior, a movie in which they already were siblings. They feel like siblings in real life.

The worst clip to shoot was on Lais’s first day of shooting, it was the bus clip. The shooting conditions were terrible, there was too much noise, and the crew was tired from having shot the 3 bus stop clips from season 3 earlier that day. David was convinced there would be nothing to save and they would have to rent another bus but the team worked their magic in post prod and it turned out amazing.

They shot the scene with Imane, Lucas and Eliott in class the day after Halloween. Maxence was at a party the night before and lost track of time. He had to take a taxi straight from the party to the set at 6am and showed up in full zombie costume and makeup.

Charles come back: it had been cloudy and raining all day but the moment the camera was on the girls’ faces, a ray of sunlight appeared and the wind blew in their hair, making it a real dramatic moment. Too good to pass on, it’s the shot they kept.

The fight between Lucas and Eliott that we vaguely hear in the background was just gibberish. Axel and Maxence hadn’t prepared anything and Axel just ended up shouting at Maxence things like YOU LIED TO ME BEFORE ABOUT LUCILLE YOU MIGHT BE DOING IT AGAIN ABOUT SOMETHING ELSE and Maxence NO I WOULD NEVER - BUT YOU DID - NO I WOULDN’T - YES YOU DID - NO and they kept going in circles so David was like “guys…. please, you might want to start screaming about something else or this is gonna sound very repetitive” but in the end we can barely hear anything so it didn’t matter much

When Alex comes to pick up Emma to go to the cinema, Assa had a break down and couldn’t stop laughing, hiding under a blanket and making all the girls laugh too with her. David had to scold them a bit to get them to stop.

Lais also ruined a clip by laughing for 15 minutes straight, it’s the clip at Imane’s house when they talk about the fair. It was the longest 15 minutes of the crew’s life. 

The oui oui song during Daphné’s birthday party wasn’t planned, the team just lost control of the cast. Axel started it and everyone followed. The cast are actually terrible extras. They are too dramatic and noticeable in the background so party scenes like Daphné’s birthday were a nightmare to shoot. 

Assa and Laïs rehearsed the Unknown dance clip every chance they got between every take, everyone kept tripping on them in the corridors.

The last sequences they filmed were actually the last clips at Imane’s house for the Eïd. Axel isn’t in the last shot because he had to leave for his play. He actually ruined the very last clip of season 4 by shouting his goodbyes to David from across the corner.

SEASON 5

The auditions for season 5 and 6 were held in June. Lucas was spotted through his youtube channel and asked to audition. 

Coline learned sign language by herself after an initiation class with the whole team. She started signing in July and has been practicing ever since. Robin took a one week class in September and then kept practicing by himself and with the D/deaf people on set. David and the rest of the team also took an initiation class.

Robin doesn’t like water and was anxious about the scenes in the pool. David got in the water with Xavier, Robin and Winona to reassure him and direct them better. They limited the number of extras around the pool because of that.

The place where Eliott works is where David used to work when he was younger.

Coline wrote a song for the season

They couldn’t leave the mural in the high school so they took it off the wall (it wasn’t actually painted on the wall itself) and cut it into pieces. There are a few pieces framed on the walls of Lucas and Eliott’s flat.
