apparently when Astarion is reading the Necromancy of Thay book and he says "No I won't kill them. Well maybe [character name]" the companion he mentions is always the one who has the highest approval with the player (or second highest if he has the highest approval) Lmao He is jealous. I didn't know how this works. I thought it's random but he always said Shadowheart in my game and I never figured out why.

toph and sokka walking down a crowded street while toph points to various women like “she has a really stable heart rate, what about her?” and sokka’s just like “no, her hairdo is too elaborate, you’d find her tedious” or “yeah, she has a kind smile” or “no, insincerity lurks behind her eyes.” and toph’s just like “right on.” she refuses to date a woman who has not first earned sokka’s very important seal of approval. she’ll be in her forties and about to hook up with a woman before she’s like “hang on before we do anything i have to vet you through my best friend who hates everyone” and this woman is just like “??????? i thought your whole thing is being an independent free spirit??” and toph’s just like “yeah well i independently came to the conclusion that everyone must first pass the sokka vibe check. what’s so difficult to understand about that.” and she’s very stubborn and unyielding about this matter. once sokka dies toph just becomes a volcel.
