her first relationship from mor dhona concurrent with becoming an adventurer. there wasn’t love between them, but there was a great fondness, and flighty wanderlust pulling them apart. how could alia give them her full heart when it was so set on the horizon? things end in a mostly amicable split, any residual bitterness fading with time.

[velle is a they/she nb lesbian viera and a botanist developed from a retainer I’d made in my early ARR days which inspired the idea of a pre-game relationship and spiraled into a side oc]

K’LYHIA

a fleeting crush turned good friend. quiet companionship in the arcanist’s guild leading to a few nights out in limsa restaurants. initially an appeal of something more, but scions business again pulling alia away before she can really invest in anything together, and the what ifs of if there’d been more time. still the occasional meeting and letters recounting each other’s ongoings despite the lapse.

MINFILIA

her first love and first real heartbreak. mutual confidantes and each other’s hope, friendship formed through an understanding of the echo and responsibility to the realm, and love grown in the sanctuary and reliance found alone together. not nearly enough time in each other’s arms before it ends in selfless sacrifice and loss. an echoing love that carries in alia’s journey, never truly without minfilia’s influence on her or the lives of others, and a continued strength even without her there.

her second love, but no more or less meaning than her first, only different. the exact person whom she needs at the exact moment that she meets him and the same in reverse. not a soulmate, but an active choice, one of constant trust and vulnerability and love forged through unconditional support in each other’s growth and hardships, no matter where duty or distance leads. always committed and eloped post-endwalker.

I hate when minor villains or supporting characters die in comics. I mean, sometimes I'll try and deal, but I never like it. Some examples of this: Janice Cord in Iron Man (I think I can deal with her death, but I still hate it for happening), George Stacy and Gwen Stacy in Spiderman (I can't forgive either of their deaths), I think Glenn Talbot in The Hulk, Lady Dorma in Namor, etc. And then for minor villains, there's so many examples. The Eel, The Ox, The Melter, The Black Knight/Nathan Garret (although at least his death gave us Dane Whitman), etc. I hate it when characters are killed off like this! Hate it, hate it, hate it! So if it's possible for me to do so, I'm always going to try and retcon or ignore all these deaths whenever I think about comics.

PS: Oh, and the obligatory Fuck you to Jim Starlin for killing Captain Mar-Vell. Yeah, I bet it was "cheaper than going to a shrink". You asshole, Jim Starlin. Captain Mar-Vell and Jason Todd both deserved better!

Family Game Night!

I’ve been working on this piece on and off for a couple months now, and it’s at a point where I’m comfortable to post. This is my first time drawing half these characters, and I can’t draw a guitar, but they get the point across

Expanding on ganondorf is younger than he looks thought.

What if he is the age he looks in totk but has been looking like that since the day he turned 25.

LISTEN. In my mid twenties I was going through a rough time. Like a really rough time. Everyone who looked at me though I was in my late thirties to early forties because I just looked that run down all the time. Now, in my mid thirties, living life a little easier, people think I'm in my late twenties, but that is because I took steps to, say, unload unnecessary baggage in my life. It would be funny if Ganondorf somehow reached peak stress levels in his mid twenties and just sustained it thus making him look as aged as he does. Maybe that's why he laughs and smirks so much. I laugh maniacally when shit hits the fan all the time *I get it*. I think I've said this a million times by now but I swear, when I was a kid, that I read somewhere that Ganondorf in OoT pre-timeskip was around 27 years old. It was either in some magazine whose name has been lost to the ages or I hallucinated this hc so hard that I deluded myself into thinking I read it somewhere. (Man I have so many doubts because I vividly remember thinking at the time at the age of 12 that wow, Ganondorf is 27 he is *so* old ANYWAYS-) To be honest when I write Ganondorf I don't age him beyond 45, he is very much a middle aged man to me, and now that I'm finding myself in his age range it's so much more fun to work with his character~
