I'll be honest the last time I saw buggy before the impel down arc was aaaaalllll the way back in 2009 after school during the first german airing of the first 300and something episodes which is also when I got introduced to one piece. (op didn't get a german dub til 2003 and also only very slowly until it picked up a following)

My school schedule changed then and I'd always come home way too late to catch any episodes of it until many years later when there was one day a week where I'd get home before 4pm and that happened to be just around the time when impel down was freshly done with german synchro and being broadcasted.

and uhhh it took me until today, my most recent rewatch of the show, to realize that buggy had indeed always had long hair and the blue tassles on his hat were just his friggin hair????

I'm not saying that my brain is kinda flat but it sure do be smooth like a vaseline dipped chicken breast considering how long it took me to get that.

“So, uh.. Where are we going?” he asked, bouncing on his feet, swaying back and forth, a very pure and eager energy radiating from him, his sharp tail mirroring his happy mood.

OKAY HELP I LOVE THIS— maybe I’m just partial to any headcanons about characters being creatives considering I am one (I don’t remember if I answered that one ask about Bree enjoying painting recreationally but I LOVE it), but come on. it makes SO much sense.

Cause I mean, Marcus playing guitar, Marcus enjoying theatre. Like, HELL yeah he draws. And HELL yeah he’s embarrassingly sappy when he actually likes someone, ie Oliver 👁

Like you can imagine that maybe he’s got a sketchbook that Leo recommended he start using as an outlet for his feelings, and Marcus thinks it’s kinda dumb at first so he doesn’t take it seriously right away, and he just starts with observational drawings that don’t really mean anything. But eventually it starts helping, he starts enjoying it more, and sometimes he draws people around him. One day he asks Oliver if he can draw him, and it’s a pretty normal thing for him to do, but then he finds that for some strange and unknowable reason (Marcus Davenport I know what you are), he really enjoys drawing Oliver.

And then of course there’s no way after realizing his feelings that he’s not doing sketchbook spreads with lovesick doodles and sticky notes of pertinent Shakespeare quotes and random cheesy lyrics or poems he came up with on the spot. It’s his version of Oliver’s dream journal.

ships - ritsumika, of course, goes without saying, but ritsu with each individual knights member too...something less special and pink tinted but casual and subtly line crossing- i think that's fun BUT. where my heart really lies is with tea club from (eiritjime, sick as hell name) !....they mean everything to me their relationship is crazzzzy

brotp - i do actually like ritmao but only in a fucked up way at this point- in a conventional line-crossing way again, in a ritsu needs to be put down like a dangerous animal way, What a lovely friendship!

notp - you'd think that sakumacest should also go without saying but it does not, so sakumacest i am not an incest fan i hold the very popular opinion that incest is gross ahah

general opinion - see the thing about this guy!! maybe there could just be a little more to him? either that or there's something im missing cuz he really seems the type i'd love! but i pay the absolute least attention to him out of. well every single circle he's involved in eheh

i think it's the way the enstars cast is full of characters with traits i typically adore, like ritsu baby would stand out in a cast of normies but he is the normie to me among these freaks

I'm finding that listening to audiobooks is great for controlling anxiety-thoughts bc I have to put all my focus on the words which doesnt leave room for anything else. the problem is I can't put all my focus on the words
