so guys im a bit late to posting this but when heartstopper s2 came out i watched it all in a day heres my reviews and why you should watch it ⚠️spoilers under⚠️

Why you should watch it:

If you have watched season 1 of heartstopper, you should know that tao and elle are getting close, well in season 2 exactly that happened in paris!. Elle just went in for the kiss! Then it made out they were! I was so happy! There is so much going on in season 2 than season 1. Much much more kissing with nick and charlie. Nick finally comes out!!!! Theyre getting out and about in paris and oml the teachers!! ❤️❤️

Review:

Once i finished season 1 i couldnt get enough of it. Then season 2 came out finally!!!! I have currently watched season 1: 4 times and season 2: 5ish times!!!! 5 stars defo. Would really really recommend

ok i finished watching the second season of heartstopper (spoilers of comics and tv show ahead)

if u don't want spoilers but still wants my opinion for some reason: i absolutely love s2, go watch it if u haven't yet

i love how every single main character had time to be further developed and truly shine. tao and elle were amazing, tara and darcy had some of the most delicate and beautiful scenes of the show, nick and charlie were stunning as always and had amazing sequences (especially during the latter half of the season), ✨✨ ISAAC ✨✨ omg the whole sequence of him getting the ace book and the leaves flying around him made me smile for a good amount of time.

jack barton did an awesome job at making the character extremely unlikable. i'm interested in looking deeper into other stuff he's done, he seems extremely talented.

i love how nick wanted to be a supportive boyfriend in the end of the season after charlie supported him during all the events of s2, and how they didn't make nick say anything like "promise me you won't do this again" but rather he went for a "promise to tell me if things get bad again." it demonstrates how healthy their relationship is and how they truly are there for each other in any aspect. this is, by far, my favorite scene of the season.

charlie confronting ben (as he should). ok listen, i really despise ben's character. if he could get no screentime in season two, that would be awesome. BUT as much as i love the way he left the show, the scene of him standing in front of the rainbow and turning away hit me like a truck at 100 mph running over me and then going back on reverse. there's so much i could talk about it, but i will save it for a different post (if i feel like it). it might be one of my favorites because of all the details in it.

now, i must say i am afraid of season 3. i don't know if heartstopper might be renewed for an extra season, but if it's not, i don't know how all the content from volumes 5-6 will fit into it. i know alice & all of the production team behind the show will do a stunning work in making the (final?) season shine, however i am scared of what might be cut in order due to the 8 30-minute episodes format. still, i'm relieved that charlie's arc was not sacrificed, and i hope it gets the depth, relevance and care it needs.

in short: i love s1, but s2 took it to the next level for me. i'm scared, but i can't wait for s3.

I heard some things that led to it looking like Dead Boy Detectives was gearing up to renew, but what is this repeated data you've seen? I'd love some facts and figures

off the top of my head:

- it performed better than heartstopper & sweet tooth's first seasons (in views)

- it was on netflix's top 10 list for the first 3 weeks after its release

- they had the writers FINISH the script for season 2 before season 1 even aired

- on rotten tomato's best 100 netflix shows dbda is ranked higher than stranger things, the sandman, one piece, bridgerton, and several others (https://editorial.rottentomatoes.com/guide/best-netflix-shows-and-movies-to-binge-watch-now/)

Finished Season 2 of HeartStopper and I'm in awe of all the young actors in it. They share great chemistry and communicated every emotion perfectly. Knowing the source material both worked for and against me, but the show remains brilliant either way. Here's a small review on the cast and characters. I'll post about the writing and crew some other time:)

Tao and Elle are the hottest couple! Will and Yasmin really are like their characters- it's "i got an orange" paired with heartwarming-and-wholesome:)

Tara and Darcy have my heart. They were my favourite last season. And they have a long way to go. Kudos to Corrina and Kizzy.

Isaac is lovely, brave and wise💖 Tobie Donovan, we're so proud of you and we love you. Can't wait for the Vlogs btw.

Nick and Charlie are everything!!! EVERYTHING! I can't wait to see Joe flex his acting chops in Marvel's Agatha: CoC, cuz while most of the show is him being happy around nick, the both times he spoke for himself- to ben and then nick at last, I found myself so eager to just listen! He can communicate! Make me feel things! Next season💔

We all know Kit Connor is going a long way! He is only 19 and already better than so many others out there. He can always keep his hot priviledge😉

Hi! The embargo on the heartstopper season 2 reviews has been lifted and I’ve read quite a few of them. I’m not going to spoil anything; they’re all positive ones but it’s exactly as I feared: Charlie takes a backseat this season and it’s the Nick Nelson Show, with updates on the other couples who all have storylines too. Not a single review mentions anything in regards to Charlie having a story of his own; one mentions that we „get a peek“ at his underlying mental health problems. I knew this would happen, and while I’m sure I’ll still enjoy the season, I just feel sorry for Joe. He’ll never get the appreciation he and Charlie deserve.

yes i saw them 🥴 our worst fears came true its like season one all over again with nick being the center its just that this time its regarding his coming out instead :/ i was already not THAT excited abt the series in the first place, this just further cements it which is why i genuinely never wanted a season 4 and want joe to fck off hs. It has never been fair to him and never will be

Is it mee or was season 2 of Heartstopper just… perfect???!!!

I fucking loved it. I squealed, I laughed, I cried. It was so good.

The performances by literally everyone were si good. The iconic lines were so good. But also the additions and changes were really good.

Whilst I love season 1 for the serotonin boost, it truly is so sunshine and rainbows, season 2 feels so much more mature. Like hitting some very important difficult moments, but handling it so well.

But there were still so many sunshine and rainbow moments that made me so happy. It felt very well-balanced.

I’ll come back for a more thorough review, when I’ve had time to process and hopefully rewatch, but… i loved it.

Also i need season 3 like right nooooowww!!!
