There would be the sound of small steps running through the halls. The girl slowing down to a stop only for a moment to glance through all the directions she could go in. This place didn't seem familiar, and there was no sight of her mother or uncle. "Mommy...?"

The halls of the Ark were usually silent, save for the soft hum of the power systems that flowed flawlessly throughout. Typically, there wasn't anyone that wandered the halls, except for the two hedgehogs.

So there was a moment of surprise as Sonic turned the corner on his way to grab something to eat and spotted the younger girl looking so out of place. That moment passed, and the hedgehog slowly made his way over.

"Hey there. How'd ya get up here? Are you alright?" He kept his tone low and his expression soft. The tap of his sneakers on the floor stopped as he knelt down and offered a hand. Something about the girl was familiar, but the hero couldn't put his finger on how.

It didn't really matter, though. Clearly, she was lost.

"What's your name, little one?"

genuine question about your organic metal stuff. In the future is there two metals or did Sage just rebuild their body? Like is the one in the future still mentally the same metal sonic?

Sage rebuilt and reprogrammed them with spare Metal Sonic parts. It’s the same Metal Sonic from the past but files/memories of their battles with Sonic were erased.

They pretty much don’t need to prove anything since they already identify themselves as Sonic. That is until they go back in time and meet the bluegumballsonofa
