The African Wild Dog is an endangered species in Africa, and its biggest threat is humans (loss of habitat, diseas spread by domestic animals, etc). Some fun facts: AWDs only have four toes on each foot! (no dew claw) A female AWD can have a litter of anywhere from 2-20 pups! Typically an AWD pack is lead by one male and one female, and they are usually a monogamous pair! (which is rare in the wild) When the female has pups, the whole pack will take care of them.

I want to help conserve Africa, home to these beautiful, endangered creatures, 11 other university students and I are going to south africa this june to volunteer and help out conservation organizations! It may be a small part in a much larger picture, but I’m really hoping to make a difference in the few weeks I get to spend there. Which has already reached its goal for the Deluxe version!! Now we move onto stretch goals including ECHOES. This game gives you a chance to romance different characters that showed up in the MDSOA routes including the sexy rich Iulius above. Now that we’ve reached the first goal we can only keep aiming upwards and onwards!!! We need to get behind the new game Echoes or there will be no Villain dating game, and we all need more games from ADS!!! Important Broadcast

Yesterday, as some of you may know, I went to my first con. There, I met many amazing people, but one person really made an impact.

Her name, is Lizbeth R. Jimenez.

Miss Jimenez is a wonderful person, working outside of college on her own manga. It is quite literally a one-woman act. Lizbeth draws and inks the pages and cover of the manga, she prints them herself, and publishes them herself. These past couple of months, her manga has been distributed to a few books stores. Her manga is called Sacred.

At the con, Lizbeth had a little booth set up, and on the table were a few volumes of the manga, sample art, and various pieces of merchandise. She is an incredible woman, and I spent a good 20 minutes talking to her about Sacred and the process it takes for her. She even gave me some helpful tips about my own manga drawing, and I plan to put them to good use. :)

I love the way Lizbeth draws, and hope I can see her again sometime. She truly is an inspiration.

A new author.

So I was scrolling through a collection of ebooks this one website I found has (smashwords.com) and I came across an author (one of many) that caught my eye. The book is called "Over the Edge and Back Again: A Collection of Character Driven Stories" by William Hopewell. I know not to judge a book by its cover, but that's what pulled me in was his cover. The book was only $2.99 so I bought it in place of the two large McDonald's fries I didn't need. As I was reading I noticed he tends to have a different thought process than other authors have. For some reason it seemed fresh. The four stories that are with the books are short. I read kinda slow but it took me about 20 minutes to read the whole book. I could tell that maybe it was one of his early works and so I tried to find information about him and I didn't find much so I assume that was his first public piece. I would recommend the book to people who like to support new authors or would like to try reading something new. I know it costs money, but I think a slight popularity boost might help this new author. I hope to find more of his work.

After seeing this video i felt his pain for his loved one diagnosed with cancer.... Someone I loved was diagnosed with Leukemia and he has been fighting it for years.. He won but then it came back and... It beat him.. Nick Peters is his name... Well full name is actually Nicolas Walker Peters.... I met him when i was in 3rd or 4th grade and he became my biggest crush ever... When i found out he had it I drew pictures of him as a super hero beating it.... Then I slowly grew apart from him... I was broken by many people and even him... I said horrible things that i regret saying when i was a kid but i knew deep down i didn't mean to because I still loved him... Then one not so good day in high school the announcer said that Nick passed away and my heart shattered even more... I wished I was there by his side giving my last love to him before he died... But I was too late... I mourned for him and Sam was there comforting me and giving the love I needed after mourning. I had families comforting me and I wished I have a chance to do the same for Nick's family.. Until homecoming day came in his mother arrived in the party and I ran to her and comforted her and gave her the love I had for Nick and his family... She became happy but I know she's still broken so I hugged her and told her to be strong because Nick would want that. She's done many sacrifices for him and I know Nick wants her to rest and live on strong. I know Nick wants me to be strong too and to live on with my life.
