pt V good omens S1E1 summarised but i understood nothing but the queer
this is me back to summarising because if i think too hard about crowley and aziraphale watching each other i'll break down and i've only watched three episodes what does this say about me
without further ado, good omens episode one:
It opens with narration by God who is morally grey and tells us Earth is a libra. I see tarot cards. It could be a hallucination.
Cut to the garden of Eden. Crowley is a snake. I assume Adam and Eve ate the apples, but I am too busy looking at David Tennant.
They talk and say important things, but I am too busy looking at Michael Sheen. Aziraphale gives fire to the humans and adopts the gaslight gatekeep girlboss method of explaining it to Crowley and the folks at heaven.
Heaven consists of uncomfortable close-ups. I hear nothing they say any time a scene is set in heaven because I am counting skin cells on the angels. They like Sound of Music. I am growing to hate Sound of Music. Thanks, heaven.
Cut to modern day but not the present, 11 years ago. Zombies emerge from the ground, but they are not zombies, not yet. One of them looks like a dead blobfish. His face decomposes later.
Not-yet-zombies hand the Antichrist baby to Crowley, who catwalks through the graveyard with the basket swinging on his hand.
God starts talking about the ol' switcheroo, intercut with an American politician who loves the Y chromosome, as one does.
There are Satanic nuns, and they are bad at their job, but they really like toes. Not in a sexual way. We think. We hope.
There is a lot of baby switching and inaccurate wink interpretations. I understand nothing. It is fine. The plot is unimportant.
The Antichrist does not raise tropical fish. An easy mistake to make.
Crowley and Aziraphale try to balance the Satanic tendencies of their adoptive son Warlock, who is not the Antichrist. Crowley serves us more gender as she becomes the nanny. Aziraphale is the gardener. I hope it is not him. I hope it is someone else.
I hope in vain. It is him. It is always him.
They raise not-Antichrist for eleven years.
A scheduled dog delivery from hell does not arrive on time, which makes Crowley and Aziraphale realise they did not raise the Antichrist. Contrary to sensible interpretation, this is not good. They abandon their adoptive son, which is normal.
Cut to the Antichrist, whom I immediately want to adopt. There are friends, and I am told they are important, but all I know is Brian is just Brian and the others are foils for the horsemen of the apocalypse.
There is an apocalypse upcoming. I do not realise it until this point.
The Satanic dog delivery arrives as scheduled to the Antichrist, and becomes a puppy. The Antichrist, with boundless creativity, names the Satanic dog delivery Dog. I continue to love him.
Contrary to sensible interpretation, this is not good. The Antichrist naming the Satanic dog delivery Dog is such a tragic blow to the world of scientific nomenclature that the apocalypse is now set into motion.
The end.

Mecarevainen, Mecare or Meca for friends. Pronounce the "c" like a "sh" and you're golden.
This bird brought magic to Neseah. There's many ways to channel magic - drawing power from the things around you, from yourself, from a magical creature. These kinds of spells are often done through sheer willpower, and can be highly dangerous.
According to legend, Mecarevainen sought out Ulevan of Neseah, the nation's founder, because she was a powerful mage looking to protect her small territory from their larger neighbors. Linking their very souls together, he gave her the gift of runes - birthing the modern magical system most wizards use to this day.
It is unclear whether or not Mecarevainen is still alive today.
After all, the easiest way to kill a phoenix is for them to be soul-bonded to someone, and have that person die.

just played some Case Files with LoV part in it and just thought about a giant project like "every LoV filler ever in ANY media"
like games, manga (including those SMASH!! pages) or irl events (like ONE of LoV seyuu playing as LoV without any real footage of it) and most importantly - Ultra Impact events, but sadly I don't have ALL of them of at least I can't share jp server events that I know at least one happened before global started
I'm not that good with knowing what Ultra Rumble has as something special other than emotes, some phrases or outfits and I don't exactly play it
One's Justice 2 (the one Horikoshi named chapter with Hawks and Twice after) on the other hand has literally tons of interactions from just battle things and recruit talks that depend on your trust of something level to Arcade where defeat and a win give you a mini dialogue and LoV has levels with each other
the only problem with the latter is that I either did level them all up too much already and it would be a pain to lose progress or I'm not really interested in doing already hard to make screenshots one by one FOR EVERY SINGLE LOV FIGHT twice.
But since I've never found actual archive of those things aside from occasional video of Plus Ultra attacks or voicelines without any subtitles for jp vers or again Plus Ultra attacks only for the new characters... that's either worthless or it doesn't matter as much
Still! While 1-A class fillers and stories are so easy to find - literally in the novels or 90% of SMASH!! and Team-Up Missions (and I saw one thing that suspiciosly had LoV in there but still looking through it) while anything semi-canon or at least that can be considered such with LoV is either serves it's purpose in the final arc of the manga now or is actually hard to find since wiki doesn't actually keep up with the official games
maybe it's just an excuse to show little things that Ultra Impact keeps as it's canon for events like Tomura being good at poker and it first was in his "holiday story" and then it appeared in the event much later chronologically with MLA already working with LoV
Also if I remember correctly there are multiple vids with LoV somewhat main point of focus and there are still cool (like that one part of Peace Sign with villains suddenly being there for couple of seconds)
but meh... it's still just 1 am thoughts mostly

“Star and Star-Eater”
--
I need to stop it with the dark and dramatic bgs. It gives people a very skewed idea of what this comic is like probably. In my defense I didn’t wanna have to redraw the bg after hours spent agonizing over the posing- egh.
No chapter 18 page 2 did not give me the brainrot no sir.

Once again it dem bois from @comicaurora

To me, the darkest thing the anime expanded on a little in this episode is the reveal that Midnight was dead
Because, from the manga, we already knew the kids went searching and found Midnight as she was
But Setsuna coming up to Momo, to that group, and telling them that Majestic is dead too, adds more to it I think
It’s just. so heartbreaking. The monster has already rampaged down the hill. They can’t hear any fighting close by anymore. No imminent threats on their part. With the sudden almost-stillness, they decide to fan out, to search for the adults and those who got thrown aside
Only to find some of them, maybe most of them, are dead
Their teacher, who had just finished talking to them on the radio, is gone. Their mentors and Heroes, the ones who they admired, who they just saw minutes ago helping them out, perished with the destruction too. The entire area is a wreck, and most of everyone around them who was fighting in the forest are probably either unconscious or dead (or may have joined the fight at the Raid instead of finding the kids, meaning - again - that the kids could have been alone in their search)
And the only reason these kids weren’t dead was because of the adults efforts to prevent even more destruction and because the monster that caused all of this saw them as nothing more than flies. Less than. Not even a threat
Just. That small added part of Setsuna also mentioning Majestic makes me think about how, with nothing else to do but to look for any casualties, these kids probably just came upon the corpses of those they saw moments ago

If you're in a fandom and you don't have at least one part of the fandom with very particular individuals with mutuals that are considered "the problematic group" are you even in a fandom? What are you DOING?
If you don't, you:
1. Are in a fandom so small you need a microscope to see it
2. Are a part of the problematic group
3. Actively avoid the fandom (I respect that decision)
4. Are in a rare fandom that's actually really nice and wholesome and can I join you PLEASE I need to get OUTTA HERE

(Lighthearted and half joking btw its friendly a self aware jab at my own hobbies)
