You were another one of Valentino's workers and you had a pretty bad night. Valentino was upset about Angel's little outburst and took it out on you. You hobbled back into the hotel groaning at the pain you currently felt. You saw Angel at the bar flirting with Husk and walked by. Angel noticed you and smirked but his smile fell when he noticed your current state. He quickly stood up and walked over to you. “Shit baby, are you okay?” he says worried as he cups your cheek gently. “I’m fine..” you muttered and Angel just sighed. “Come on I know you feel like shit, Val did this didn't he?” you just nod in response and Angel sighs before picking you up casually. “AH— Ang!” you yell as he carries you off to his room.

He opened the door and Fat Nuggets trotted over and looked up at Angel. Angel shuts the door with his foot and gently sets you on the bed. He picked up Nuggets and set him on your lap. You gently pet down the pig's body and he happily oinked back leaning into your touch. Angel was digging around drawers. “God damn I need to get more comfy clothes…” he muttered before throwing away a baggy shirt and some pajama shorts. “Want some thigh highs?” he asked but before you answer he throws them at you. “Who am I kidding, of course you do!” he says and plops down next to you. Angel has seen you naked plenty of times due to your work so you weren't embarrassed changing in front of him.

Once you slipped out of the slutty clothes Val had you wearing and into the comfy clothes you sighed in relief and flopped into a laying down position. Fat Nuggets climbed up and sat on your stomach with a cute oink and you smiled at him. Angel chuckles “Sorry bout’ Nuggsy, he just likes ya’.” he says with a wink. You just giggle, “It's fine I love Nuggs.” He just nods in approval and lays down next to you. “Soooo, why did Val beat you in?” he asked and you just sighed. “He was upset about something you did I think, he kept mentioning you having an outburst or something and that ‘this will teach him’ kind of thing.” Angel's eyes widen and you see rage boiling up in him. “What the fuck?! Why the hell did he hurt you because of me?!” he scoffed before he softened and looked at you apologetically. “I'm sorry he did that, I thought only I'd get the beating for it not you.” he rubs your shoulder. “It's fine, he would've done something anyway.” you just shrug. “How do you feel about a movie night? Just us?” you smile up at him. “I'd like that.”

Angel had grabbed some popcorn and picked some cheesy romance movie. You were snuggling into him casually. He was making sassy comments throughout the movie. Most of them made you giggle or laugh and he’d smile down at you with pride. “I know I'm just so funny.” he replied with a smirk as you laughed in his arms. Nuggs was laying in between you two sleeping soundly. You both snapped some photos and were all giddy over them. It was chill to just be laying in your boyfriend's arms, oh yeah did I mention he's your boyfriend? You're happy to have him and he's happy to have you and you'll both be there for each other no matter what happens! You fell asleep feeling safe and sound that night.

Honestly I like how callous she was about him and his feelings because Jade’s actions felt reciprocal rather than predatorial. Because honestly, if you think about it, there is nothing platonic about working him to an orgasm in the garden and dancing with him in a dress he magics up for you after a nice meal made by him lmaoo. She was using Jade and Jade was using her and I love that they’re so messy 💕

my thoughts so far on the characters in scarlet.

koraidon is adorable. i cant believe miraidon is apparently more popular. miraidon has that robot dog toy from the early 00s appeal sure but koraidon is just soooo cute. chicken lizard creature. its SO goofy how its tail and its chest frills thingies turn into wheels but it still runs on its silly frog legs. love that. also im loving the skyrim terrain horse riding experience it provides i think thats exactly what pokemon was missing

i dont like clavell hes ugly and i dont think it was appropriate for him to comment on how well my stupid little uniform suits me right in front of my mother no less and i wish he would stop popping up because all he does is make me mildly uncomfortable

I really like new Charlies voice and her character changes in general. She acts and sounds like a disney princess, but with swears. Shes not just some naive little girl now, SHES A DISNEY PRINCESS WHO CAN SWEAR :DDD

Ok is it just me or Angels voice sound like- exact same like in the pilot? Maybe its just me. But i actually like it! Idk what else to say srry

Ok, Alastor- u may not be agree with me but i dont like his new laugh. Everything else in the voice is okay but i just always really liked og Alastors laugh and now its kinda meh, im sorry

Adam is a freaking bastard n i dont like him as a character, but his voice is AMAZING, especially when he sings (his voice was literally made for metal songs), n its really befitting his character (also his little song was amazing too, my 2nd fav of all songs so far)

Sir Pentious' voice situation is kinda the same as Alastors. Im okay with it but i like the original one more.

I really like Velvettes voice its really befitting her! Well gotta say everyone from VVV have awesome voices that really befitting their characters.

What qualities do you like about Double D the most?

Soooo so many things I love about him - I often think about how soft his skin would be, like his cheeks are all soft and squishy, and his neck is probably so delicate and warm, his skin would probably be a bit clammy (he's so anxious and riled up all the time....) but not in an unpleasant way, it's just how he is lol. He's definitely one of those people with really cold hands and other extremities, but a warm enough torso

I love the way his face stretches when he smiles! I love seeing all the different shapes he takes but his smile is my favorite :3 how do I describe it- he isn't lumpy or anything, but he just has so many interesting moving parts, I love how his cheeks stick out and his chin sticks out and his jaw behind his ear sticks out, and his lil eye lines/eye bags, and of course his tooth gap! Big ol teeth...... He's just so wonderful to look at and I wish I could give him a big kiss on the forehead... boop his nose while I'm at it.... he's shaped all awkward like a newborn kitten or and I love it

I love how long he is! Lanky lil ferret creature, like a cat, or a weasel, or a salamander! I like the salamander comparison best, I've studied their anatomy before and it ready fits Double D the best..... They're all lanky and squiggly and flexible just like Double D ^w^

I really like Edds funky posture, he has such a cute lil belly and messed up scoliosis back lol..... like he's all tall and thin compared to everyone else but he's still fleshy and soft >u< like you can see his ribcage and spine poking out, but he still has a big kitten belly... I just wanna hold and squish him! his limbs are all lanky and awkward, but theyre more like that of a delicate baby bird than a bony human!

Also... cute butt........ squishy squishy 🤤🤤 LOL I know it's probably just his big ol shorts but it's still cute..... I love how all his clothes are so big on him! It's adorable!! I can imagine all the textures so vividly.... his outfits are def 10/10 comfy ^^ I love how he just wears knee/thigh high socks, it's very cute and funny, I also wear socks that go up to my shorts sometimes and it is VERY comfy when they fit well.

I also love his tiny lil legs and the way he walks/runs! They go pitter patter as he skitters around like a dachshund or a lizard a a funky lil bug!

And I really like the way he handles his energy... ill start with describing the other eds first!

With Ed, his energy is sort of consistently radiating out, he has an IMMENSE amount of power and imagination in there, but he's big enough to handle it. It seeps out like radiation from a 10 ton brick of uranium.

With Eddy, he has more explosive tendencies, he's short and stout, which makes it harder for him to hold everything in, but he tends to compress it all down into a little ball. He's extremely volatile and reactive, you set him off and BOOM it all explodes out! His little body just can't handle anything new, he's already backed up with so much repressed emotion that there just isn't room for anything new. His explosions are like dynamite, or a star that got too much mass and imploded on itself.

Now Edd is the Anxiety Creature™, his energy is also volatile in nature, but I guess he's more electric, or like plasma. It's the kind of heat that's so hot it starts to feel cold again, like coming inside from the snow, turning the bath faucet to the hottest temp and butting your feet right under it. The difference between him and eddy is that Double D isn't able to hold anything down, as soon as it's created it's let out into the world, however that may be. He wears his emotions on his sleeve, expresses any and all fear, excitement, disgust, and affection he feels because he just doesn't have the volume to hold any of it in. He creates huge amounts of energy, and there's nowhere for it to go but out into the world! His tiny body just can't hold it all in.... it's hard to find a comparison like the other two, something so small with so much energy.... his energy sorta functions like the sun, once you look at it up close.

Here's a diagram I made to visualize it better, (it looks better on computer than phone) I feel like Edds colors are different based on whatever emotion he's expressing, but theyre always bright, whipping out like pink and yellow and blue solar flares. Eddy's are definitely more firey and messy than what i drew, think dynamite mixed with a supernova.

I've been writing this post all morning, and I think im gonna call it here for now lol. I will add some stuff about Double D's personality later lol.

I really enjoyed this episode! Without spoilers, it felt like the 911 that we all love a-la season 3 kinda feeling. The characters felt connected rather than disconnected like they were in season 6 and some in season 5. The 911 calls were the perfect length, nothing lingered unnecessarily, again unlike in season 6 where that was an issue. And I really enjoyed the theme of relationships, romantic relationships in particular, and examining if the relationship is healthy or perhaps going stagnant.

🌟 Now on to my Spoiler Thoughts for 7x1 in no particular order. 🌟

-Marisol was legit on screen for maybe 3 seconds, and Eddie even mentioning her was to say “oh I’m dating a woman.” We really got nothing from it beyond, to me at least, some cringe. That’s it. 😆 Bruh, this is really giving “yeah she won’t be around that long,” cause she wasn’t presented as particularly important. 

- Marisol was helping chaperone Chris’s date? Ngl that’s a bit weird if she and Eddie haven’t been dating long, but perhaps that’s just me. I’m so curious how Chris even feels about Marisol. Does he think, “Doesn't matter, she probably won’t stay”?? Does Chris only like Marisol because it seems to make Eddie happy, but that’s the extent? So curious.

- Omg Eddie wants Bucks to talk to Chris, a player apparently, because at one time Buck was one. Like father, like son. 

- Again loved this theme of couples just seeing if they’re doing well, are they stagnant, and just what’s important to them. 

- Oh gosh, Chris sees that no matter how nice or good you are, he thinks the girl will still leave. Like his mom. Godddd. </3 And this also shows that Chris still thinks highly of his dad. He sees that his dad is a good guy, but women in his life still leave. Goddddddd.

- Bye Natalia, you will not be missed. Buck and Natalia broke up off screen because “all she wanted to talk about was death.” And thus I liked Eddie’s comment to Buck, “Welcome back to the living.” Indeed!

- I’m into this exploration of Bobby and Athena seeing what they are “without all the chaos.” Poor Bobby he was trying so hard with Athena on this cruise, being so patient. And don’t think I didn’t miss his heavy implication of, “we can just stay in bed the rest of the time ;)).”

- Soooo much Eddie on my screen THANK GOD. 💕💕💕

- Sooo much Buck and Eddie! Together! Being friends and helping each other out in parenting!!!

- Hen being one hell of a captain. 💕

- All three parents - Eddie, Buck, and Shannon - sitting in the same spot on Chris’s bed. 🫠

- I’d been wondering for so long about Chris’s thoughts about Shannon. So he did recognize that she left. Based on him reading the letter and standing the picture back up, I’m guessing…. he’s at peace now about his mom? Or getting there??

- Honestly I loved the hot tub 911 call where Eddie was so compassionate about calming down the woman. It was a funny scene, but not cringey. Ryan and the actress played it with such sincerity that it worked. 

- This episode was definitely a good intro for new viewers. It shows the Buckley-Diaz family of it all, Buck and Eddie with a very close friendship, Hen in a captain role, Chimney and Maddie and their upcoming marriage talk, Shannon and who she is to Eddie and Chris, Buck is single, Eddie is dating but you really don’t need to know more about the who fghjhkb, and how close the 118 are. 

- There were quite a few callbacks to episodes in seasons 2 and 3, which was so neat to see. 

- Shirtless Eddie….  🫠 Buck saw it too mmmmm.  🫠 - Maddie and Chimney were so cute. =)))

- This whole pirates or whatever they are taking over the cruise ship story is fun! Can’t wait to see how it continues to play out.  - Eddie is a nester. Hmmmm. And Buck pointing out - something about he and Shannon barely dating before she got pregnant and boom! Marriage.

- Buck and Eddie being battle boyfriends. 😌💕

I think I got everything haha. Again, what a great start to the new season! I'm feeling good about what's to come. =D

it gets pretty brutal... i don't know what to say about this story besides that. it's an interesting look at what could've made rai-dei the way he is.

we're ending this not with a bang but with a whimper... swapping meryl in for the haircut scene is... blegh. whatever. and they exaggerate her crush on vash too much. like yeah she's kind of tsundere in canon (moreso in the anime imo) but she's not a teenager yknow? the satellite tv story did that too but that one was supposed to be goofy and exaggerated so it was whatever.

the most interesting thing here is the lack of dialogue. that's a fun creative choice. and i like the gag with vash's hair being too nasty to comb LOL... and the haircut options. that's all...

overall i'd give this a... 6.5/10? 'les enfants' was definitely my favorite by far and nightow's story was a lot of fun too. the others ranged from "meh at best" to "sure, it was good" lol. i liked seeing the different art styles... i don't have much else to say.

My Chapter 22 Commentary

“We aren’t going on a date!” “Yes, we are!” The beautiful boys that you are. I love the start to this chapter, their combined prettiness hit me like a truck ngl. It was also such an odd feeling seeing Kagiura’s hair still left in the same position as we last saw it months ago. Feelin like we’re on earth while Kagihira are on the Miller planet in Interstellar, time speeding by for us but inching ever so slowly for them. Anyway, they’re adorable here. And Kagiura is getting prettier by every chapter.

I love how much bolder Kagiura is now too; probably emboldened by Hirano’s initiative in choosing the location of the 10 seconds last chapter. And Hirano. Hirano, once again, saying no to something with Kagiura, then realizing he’s actually at least somewhat okay with it (if not more).

Chapter 22: Slowly but Surely. The Gap Between Givers and Takers Like everyone else, I’m soooo encouraged by the name of this chapter. Like. This is really happening huh. Things are really changing for Hirano in real-time, and he’s becoming very incrementally more aware of it. And the tagline is so ooogh… is it referring to the palpable difference felt when you are the giver of touch (by extension, affection, and by extension, love), is it referring to the gap slowly and ultimately diminishing to the point that there is no longer a difference felt whether one is the giver or taker and the effect felt is the same no matter what? Is it referring to the widening discrepancy between our boundless acquisition of our planet’s resources and what our poor earth is physically capable of supplying us with hence sending us further past the point of no-return for ecological sustainability? Only sensei has the true answers.

“We’re just going shopping! No one calls that a ‘date’!” “People go on shopping dates all the time!” Kagiura continuing to fight the good fight. He’s right, Hirano. I mean if even uniform dates exist, surely anything can be a date…

“How long?” “It’s a secret. But I’ll tell you… Once you fall in love with me.” Honestly, I don’t really know specifically, but I feel like the fact that sensei did a throwback to Hirano wondering how long Kagiura’d been in love with him, is more significant/relevant to the future storyline than we think right now…  

Other than, you know, Kagiura cranking up his rizz to MAXIMUM DRIVE Niibashi putting distance between him and Kagiura in front of Hirano is so funny. Even funnier is Kagiura’s adorable little “Niibashi’s mad at me because I’m missing a button :D” happy-go-lucky air here while he grins ear to ear. I also love the different ways both Niibashi and Hirano get angry around Kagiura hahah. Kagiura really is the perfect easygoing friend for that kind of personality. Still thinking about somebody pointing out the fact that Kagiura’s button was shown missing since the chapter cover for #20…

“Shall we skip practice today? I feel bad monopolizing you every day.” Please monopolize him until the end of time. Niibashi just quietly simmering in the background like my dinner. Hirano looking up at Kagiura in such a cute little way while holding the ends of his sweater, why the frick does this give me such domestic vibes.. Ha ha it reminds me of Kagiura holding Hirano’s ring folder when he was fixing it up in the nurs e ‘ s  o f  f  i     c     e         .            .                    .

I’m sorry I am now looking at the symbolism for paper cranes (the ones in the background on the table behind Niibashi calling Kagiura a slob, and well, it’s not much, it’s just stuff like honor, good luck/fortune (hmm), loyalty and longevity (hmmmmm)… Slowly but surely…

Sewing privileges transferred. Niibashi’s organs eroding from the inside-out from seeing (and probably simultaneously remembering everything Kagiura’s told him Hirano has done/said) every speck of affection dripping out from every crevice on Hirano’s gay little face and body.

“There’s nothing I can’t do if I put my mind to it.” Including realizing your growing romantic feelings for Kagiura, right? Man the way Hirano keeps poking/hurting himself in the process of trying to fix Kagiura’s button/make up for wrecking it himself… makes me emo how he doesn’t mind getting hurt if it’s all for Kagiura’s sake aghhhh byeeeee… Love all the fond smiles Kagiura gives when Hirano says something cool, gahhhh… they love each other so much… I cant handle them…. “Ugh, why do you have to be so stubborn even with something like this?!” “I’m just messing with you.” Aaaand there’s his first smile of the chapter, followed by the next one 6 pages later (and one of my favourite panels of Kagihira together ;___; laughing together and relishing purely just being with the other….

Can’t remember if someone said this already, but I don’t know if it’s significant here, them both being on one side of the window frame’s shadow (the ‘centre line’ (Romance: don’t cross the line)). I mean it’d make sense I guess, since what Kagiura initiated wasn’t super romantic relatively speaking, albeit still a very affectionate gesture. Either way though- no lines were crossed, for sure.

Bony shoulder… hard thigh from the lap pillow… the physical awareness of each others’ bodies…. the way Kagiura rubs his head on it like he’s a cat on a scratching post… I digress. Love how sensei does lighting in her manga. The shadow that separates part of Hirano from Kagiura on the page after Kagiura told him it makes his heart race. Oooh…

...It doesn’t make mine race, though. But… It’s still not bad at all. What if I died. No but for real, this hurtssss because Hirano’s thinking to himself how he doesn’t physiologically feel the same as Kagiura, but he still enjoys the contact. He still likes touching it. Even if I’m not in love with you the way you are with me, I still want to be with you Kagi-kun.

I also want to mention something. I’ve kind of picked up this little.. thing.. of counting the panels of their ten second touching as if each panel is a second. Now, I’m too lazy to look through right now but there was at least one time when it equated to about 10 panels, 10 seconds, right? Well here, I’m counting 14 panels of his head being on Hirano’s shoulder. I was talking with friends about this and we were so unanimous about the fact that this was *not* 10 seconds long. Okay, it could’ve been, but c’mon, between all their talking, do you reallyyyy think Kagiura was fully counting the whole time. Be for real

Oh… Was that 10 seconds already? Back to the lighting. MAN. So good. The shadow on both the boys as Kagiura removes the weight of his head from Hirano’s shoulder. I hope his shoulder felt lighter. I hope it felt wrong to feel so light. Just like when Kagiura removed his arms from around Hirano after the hug and Hirano shivered a little. I hope each and every continued loss of weight and warmth is an accumulated strip torn off of Hirano’s psyche, and I hope he reaches the point where he is just a building torn to shreds whose only hope for reconstruction is the handyman responsible for the teardown in the first place.

God I just noticed Kagiura’s made that smiling while looking down face before, in chp 17, and Hirano just watches him so closely… but that wasn’t after touching. However in chp15 it was after their first 10 sec touching, but he wasn’t smiling, he looked blushily anguished, and Hirano was observing him in the panel right before it, top left, just as he is here…

Oh Hirano…bold of you to think Kagiura’s only been teaching you basketball…

Normally I don’t indulge in saying something like this, but you’re so silly for thinking people wouldn’t love part two of the infinite-verse (is that a thing?)... anyway, almost got distracted and forgot my point but… Um… I told you so. Respectfully. Affectionately. I told you so.

I am reeeeeeeeling for his possessiveness. Like obviously there’s always a flattering aspect with possessiveness but the way you write it, for him, is sooooo hot. Like there’s something special about it. Idk. I can’t tell if it’s because I wouldn’t expect it from him, because of the open relationship aspect, or because he’s…. I have no idea. But the way you write it for him specifically is soooo yummy. So hot. Loved that. 

What’s crazy is that after the first part, I was kind of nervous to see how a full story of them would play out. Because something like this you’d inevitably expect to be messy and painful and someone always ends up hurt and the idea of that stresses me out. Because Rebecca doesn’t deserve that. And ruined friendships? All of that scares me. It becomes too real. Emotional pain and disharmony can be overwhelming (especially when the writer is so good and it gets you emotionally attached to characters). You know what I mean? But after reading Insatiable You and the anons and their ideas and your responses, it seems a little less scary. Like I can see a light at the end of the tunnel. And I always think it’s funny when you see something come to life that seemed like it wasn’t possible. Like oh, I guess… I guess there is a way out that maybe wouldn’t be so awful… You know? If that made any sense. (it’s probably an unpopular opinion, because I know people love angst, but I feel like I have enough emotional turmoil in my personal life LMAO)

The final dialogue about Rebecca is so real but in such a soothing way. Everything he does is so soothing. Like I genuinely never stop worrying but he’s just so… disarming. And I think I’d be shit at sharing too but I actually can see how maybe she’s holding onto what she can get from him because he is so soothing and so perfect and his words are just. You’re brilliant for this. And Kitten is so real and raw for her words.
