i have several drafts from back in january comparing some of my old man yaoi ™️ ships which i decided against posting at the time because, quite frankly, they were thoughts no one would appreciate but me. two of the ships i know have some overlap, but the third didn't fit. a different genre. too niche.

but, with a new deadpool movie out and other ppl seeing the buggy parallels, i might as well get this off my chest:

the dynamic is eerily similar:

we have an occasionally slapstick murderclown with obvious issues about the unusual way he looks, who presents himself as only having selfish motives but is (sometimes) lying about that, is very hard to kill, is disliked by ppl who have to work with him and popular with and beloved by ppl who don't both in-universe and out!

and his ex-bestie, a massively overpowered would-be martyr who is missing a flesh arm, has three scars over one eye, whose continued fondness for the murderclown post-breakup baffles everyone around him (murderclown included), and who refuses to elaborate on his motives for doing shady shit (including manipulating our beloved murderclown) except that he's doing everything for the sake of the future

I think if you convinced Astarion not to ascend, he’s there for the Haarlep encounter, and you fail the CON check (push Haarlep away), he should lose his cool and fire an arrow at Haarlep or something and interrupt Haarlep’s magic, giving you another chance to fight instead. I do think the sex abuse survivor witnessing his friend or lover being coerced into sex would notice when they want to escape and would have something to say about it.

I'm willing to bet that Wind grows some when he gets there and keeps it because he thinks he looks cool.

Legend and Warrior would probably be clean shaven whether they have the ability or not.

Four probably can't. I don't know why. He probably tries to grow it out though.

Sky and Hyrule grow beards. Hyrule- because he wouldn't shave period and Sky-... probably because he just grows into it. He ages gracefully.

Wild... hmmm. Tough one. I want to say he could but his scars probably messed up the way the hair grows and he doesn't care for it. He's probably also part of the clean shaven club.

the salinger route in marathon rubicon has a wild sequence where you hijack a station for the location of your next objective, and durandal's like 'well! I couldn't pull out the location, but turns out this ship can just bring your straight there if i instruct it to! so . bed time! I'll wake you up when you get there ^^'

and then theres a sorta interim level titled 'just a little further' where. mjolnir wakes up, stumbles over to durandal's terminal, and goes like 'I've killed so many people but i hope i am above murder. my dreams are full of blood.' and theres nothing else to do on the level, and durandal cant/doesnt answer, so you just go back to sleep, and when you get properly woken up, durandal doesn't acknowledge it at ALL

In all the posts I’ve made for Jack Jeanne I know I haven’t spoken about Tsuki (Kisa’s currently MIA older brother who was the former big star at Univeil), and the game itself has surprisingly not given me much to work with yet. Maybe in another route or something? But I will say….there is one (stupid very stupid like holy shit this is crack territory and mostly a silly joke theory but also kinda sorta maybe makes some sense in a weird way?????) thought I have regarding Tsuki…
