Just like her mother before her, Jade kind of knew her final days had come. She was grateful for the life she had lived, the love she had found and the family she had been blessed with. It was good.

When she suddenly felt overwhelmed with fatigue, she was at peace. It took Marcus a second to realise Jade had collapsed just behind him, but he immediately went to look for Rayne, who was still practicing yoga in his room. Rayne stormed down the stairs just in time to see Grim Reaper. Without hesitating he threw himself before the Reaper, begging him to give them just a little more time together. But to no avail, Jade was gone.

Too soon, the Dreamer family gathered once again in the family crypt to mourn.

Héctor’s Journal

Dirk invited me to a get-together at his place— it’s a quaintly decorated apartment in a way I almost would not expect from such a modern guy. Our friend circles have grown to overlap, and it turns out that Dirk himself has found a gal that he likes, my old classmate Katherine West. He and Katherine are such a lovely couple. The girls danced while we listened to swing music on Dirk’s radio and us guys exchanged drinks and smokes. Even in a city as wide and expansive as Los Angeles, in that evening, my world felt as small as my friend’s apartment, with laughter and smiles and my head warm from the alcohol and good times.

Да и Дирк вел себя, мягко говоря, странно — пригласив Холли на чашечку чая, он не стал проводить с ней время и бессовестно улизнул в ближайший караоке-бар, где сразу же разогнал всех посетителей своим кошмарным пением.

Хорошо, что наша Холли не из тех, кто будет долго переживать из-за чужой глупости и хамства! Махнув рукой на Дирка, Холли решила обсудить свои романтические перспективы с местным просветленцем.

Туманные речи гуру на удивление ясно дали Холли понять, что Дирк Дример — не ее романтическая судьба. Холли вздохнула с облегчением и на радостях купила картину на память о фестивале.

Part 2 of the homeless DelSol valley townies, from left to right: Holly Alto, Dustin Broke, Dirk Dreamer! Holly Alto is still in the starving artist part of her career, so she has maybe three pairs of shoes total, and thrifts all of her clothes. But she's a try-hard and is determined to pay to do what she loves. In the past she has been married to Joaquin Le Chien, Gavin Richards, and once Sergio Romeo. Never seen her have a kid, she usually adopts a cat or two. You can go back over to my Judith Ward post for more about Dustin Broke's history in my saves, but tl;dr: He and Judith Ward hook up, he mooches of her, quits his business day job to DJ full time, and eventually messes with her birth control to knock her up to better ensure his long-term use of her finances. At least he helps her reputation while he's at it. Dirk Dreamer has married Lilith Pleasant, Ulrike Faust, and a divorced Yasemin Tinker (who I play as bisexual) once. He's an aspiring journalist who also writes biographies of currently-living sims. His best-selling novel to date was about our own Vladdy Daddy that my 29-year-old self named Dude why does everyone in this guy's family look exactly the same it's really weird. Or something to that effect.

Time for the youngest twins to age up into toddlers. To celebrate, Rayne invited his aunt and cousins over. They happily agreed and it was a really nice family gathering. Aspen was a little spooked after blowing out his candles, but other than that, everything went very smoothly. While the older family members caught up with each others' lives, the youngest twins enjoyed their first piece of cake. And just like their older siblings, they share a strong bond. Now that they're toddlers, they can show their affection by hugging each other, something they'll often do from now on.
