The CEO and her bodyguard: Pt.3
Tumblr media
Pt.2
It was raining. It was raining as dark clouds covered up the sky as far as you vould see, hiding the beautiful blue sky from your view. You huffed out some air as you sat in the small lobby of your house. Well, it was actually a small hostel designed with some additional room for up to 10 guests but visits on this island were so rare that most of the time it was only you and your parents in here anyways. You were so bored! When was this rain going to stop?
As you sat on one of the chairs on the table whilst gazing outside the window, your head abruptly turned around when you heard the only phone in the entire house ring. You pulled both of your brows up to your forehead. It was quite rare to have some call. Nevertheless, you stood up as you walked quickly to the wooden counter and lifted the handset. Hopefully it would be someone interesting so that you could waste some time whilst waiting for this rain to stop.
"Hello?"
"(y/n)? That's you, right?"
"Oh! Aki-chan! Why are you calling? I thought that you were busy working in Tokyo for their compa...Aki-chan?"
You stopped your excited rambling due to your best friend's unexpected call. Ever since she had moved over to Tokyo in order to work for the Ito Company and you had stayed here, both of you hadn't been able to see each other as often. You had so much you wanted to tell her and had so much you wanted to ask her. But you heard just now over the telephone Aki-chan's troubled and heavy breathing. You knew that sound. Aki always took such deep and strained breaths when she was panicking. And Aki wasn't a person who panicked very easily.
"Hey...What happened, Aki? Try to take deep and long breaths."
You spoke more seriously into the telephone as your mind started racing with reasons why she would call you all of a sudden. If she sounded like this then that was a clear indicator that she hadn't just called to chat with you about how your life was going.
You heard her trying to breathe in through her nose and out through her mouth for a few moments as if to gather her composure again and as desperately as you wanted to ask her what was going on, you knew better than to pressure her. Aki needed a bit time to collect herself and would most likely snap at you if you would be even a bit too pushy.
"H-Have Kaito-san and Daisuke-san arrived?" She finally managed to ask when she had calmed down a little bit although her voice still betrayed her with a hint of nervousness. You furrowed your eyebrows instantly when you heard her mentioning their names as you felt a mixture of confusion and irritation stir up somewhere inside your chest.
"What?! They wanted to come back here again? Oh my god, I thought I already made myself clear, especially to Daisuke, that I have no interest in moving over to Tokyo and working for their com-“
"Have they come or haven't they?" Aki repeated herself as the urgency and the fear in her voice became more audible. You paused when you caught on to this as you fell quiet for a while. Aki sounded scared...
"No, they haven't. I didn't even know that they were planning to visit our island." You eventually answered as you glanced outside the window.
You heard Aki's breath stutter over the phone when she heard your words.
"T-they didn't even contact you?"
"No?" You answered her as your confusion only grew.
"Aki...what is going on?" You asked shortly after as you wondered what had gotten into your normally composed and sharp friend. If she sounded that desperate that most likely meant that something really bad had happened and slowly you started feeling a heavy dread sitting in the pit of your stomach by listening to her silent emotional meltdown.
"...I-It's alright. It probably is nothing. Just...don't worry yourself with this. I'm sorry for calling you so suddenly. I don't know what suddenly came over me." Aki eventually replied as you could hear how she tried her hardest to return to her normally detached and rational tone, although you could still sense the stress even if both of you were only talking over the telephone.
"Aki! You are clearly not alright. What happened? Did...did something happen to Daisuke and his father or-"
"I have to end this call right now. Something just came up. I'm really sorry. Goodbye."
You had a perplexed and confused look on your face as Aki just hung up like this and you were left standing in the hostel, your mind reeling as you tried to understand what had just happened.
"What the heck?" You mumbled as you put the telephone down and just stared at it for a while before you let out a long sigh and walked back to the table.
Aki's words were still on your mind though as your gaze focused on the window and what you could see from it, precisely on the ocean you could see from here.
Daisuke and Kaito-san...
As you continued watching the storm and the rain unfold outside, the heaviness in your stomach only increased.
You had a very bad feeling.
~~~
"...oji? Toji! Hey, Toji!"
Green eyes zoomed in on you as he stirred awake from whatever haze his mind had suddenly taken him to. You were sitting on your office desk, a dreadful amount of files piled up on it and no less than 3 telephones placed on the already cramped space. The window behind you revealed a black sky, the lights of the city cutting through the darkness with their brightness.
His eyes darted over to the clock hanging on the wall and he let out a slight groan when he noticed the time.
01:34
“Don’t you space out on me! Your work isn’t over until I am in bed! Also, please stop staring at me.”
A look of mild surprise fell across his face when he heard your words.
“I’ve been staring at you?” He asked you as you saw wrinkles appear on his forehead as he tried to remember where he had been with his mind.
“For nearly 3 minutes. Did I do something? Is something wrong with my face?”
Toji quickly shook his head, grumbling as he tried to remember what had even gone on in his mind prior to your voice waking him up from his trance. He'd just been watching you typing, signing and talking away if he remembered correctly and then the next thing he knew, you had called him out for staring at you. He'd been staring at you again before getting lost in the sight of you, hadn't he? How many times had that happened by now?
"May I ask when the lady plans to head back home?" Toji eventually asked as he decided to switch topics before you could dig any deeper. You took a look at the watch and your eyebrows pulled up to your forehead when you caught a glimpse of the time. Quickly shock turned into embarrassment as you realised how long you had been letting him wait in here for you already.
"Oh...Give me 10 minutes." You mumbled with a sheepish smile that had his heart skip a beat when he saw you directing it to him. He let out a sigh before he leaned back into the couch, throwing his head back although his eyes were still looking at you. You continued scribbling stuff down for a while before you noticed his green eyes still focused on you.
"I'm sorry, I'll try to hurry up! Just-just play on your Nintendo until I'm finished!"
"Can't do that. The battery is empty." Toji replied casually as he lifted his hand slightly up, holding the device with its black screens up for you to see.
Great. Your shoulders slumped as you just gave him a nod. He really had nothing to entertain himself with anymore besides watching you and that made you feel a tad bit guilty. On the other hand you really had to cleanse all those schedules and appointments from your schedule to be able to take some days off. It had been years after all since you had last seen them after all.
~~~
"Your perception of 10 minutes seems to be quite different from my definition." Toji spoke up half-amused as his eyes darted back to the clock.
02:17
"I'm nearly finished. Only 5 more minutes." You muttered out as he could see how your eyes at this point were for longer periods closed than they were open as you sat hunched over your desk, reading through some files.
Your head was resting in one of your hands as it almost seemed like your head was too heavy for you to support only by your neck. You were clearly at your limit now.
"I don't think you'll last 5 minutes." Toji remarked with a grin on his face as he watched you struggling to stay awake. You gave him a tired groan as you desperately tried to focus on the words in front of you, although your sleep-addled brain couldn't grasp the bigger meaning of the sentences anymore. It felt like trying to grab smoke with your hands as you attempted to make sense of those documents. "Not yet..."
~~~
02:36
Soft breaths escaped your lips as your head was laying on the surface of your table. He wasn’t surprised by this sight. You’d been working far too long now for your standards already but for some reason you’d been too stubborn to listen to him. Normally you’d only do what you had to do before eagerly calling it a day. Those last 2 weeks you had worked suspiciously hard though and he was sure you had an ulterior motive for it. Toji did not believe you to just work for work’s sake.
He stood up from the couch and stepped quietly over to you. He bent slightly down, observing your peaceful face. He watched your eyelashes fluttering gently when one of his hands placed itself on your shoulder and carefully shook you.
“(y/n), let’s get you home.”
He whispered in a low voice as he tried to shake you awake. All he got from you was a sleepy grumble as you lifted your head the tiniest bit, your eyes squeezed tightly together as if they were a seal you refused to open.
In only a mere few seconds your head dropped back onto the table as you went back to sleeping, leaving Toji just standing over you. Honestly, he was used to you having a bit more of an irregular sleep schedule since you were a fairly energetic person but the countless hours of works had really drained you. It was rather cute though, watching you sleeping so calmly.
“Fine then.” He mumbled as he heaved you out of your chair before he lifted you up in his arms. His one hand roughly pushed everything into your handbag that you had taken with you from home before walking out of the office, switching the light off before walking down the corridors. Since it was fairly late, there were barely any people left. Strangely enough he didn’t know if he should have been disappointed or relieved about this.
A part of him somehow almost wanted the people who worked for you to see him carrying you around like he did. When his eyes laid on your resting form in his hold though, another part of him felt a biting heat somewhere in his heart that only got worse when he considered others seeing you in such a vulnerable and precious state. He didn’t want them to see you right now as you slumbered away so blissfully in his arms.
Maybe it was for the best that he really didn’t see anybody else as he headed to the car with you. He carefully placed you on the passenger seat and buckled your seatbelt on for you. His body brushed against yours as he did so and he could feel your warmth even through your clothes. His heart reacted to those brushes of body against body as he felt the organ pounding faster and harder against his rib cage. He swallowed heavier than he had expected as the scent of your faint and fruity perfume filled his brain.
Dark pupils dilated a bit as your scent invaded his nostrils and he took in the sleepy and innocent sight he had in front of him. Vulnerable, defenseless and solely relying on his protection. You really were trusting him a lot, weren’t you?
His breath deepened a tad bit as his heartbeat increased and he could feel his own blood rushing through his body. Green eyes were zooming in on your face as he drank in the sight of you. From your fluttering eyelashes to your softly parted lips glistening with your lipstick before his eyes traveled further down to your chest, your stomach and your thighs.
His mind started spinning as images filled his head and he was pretty sure that if Yukimaru would have known of any of them, she would have fired him. He abruptly pulled away from you, taking a few steps backwards as he let out a deep breaths through his lips. One of his hands ran through his black locks as he tried to clear all thoughts out of his head. You didn’t stir awake as you continued to sleep blissfully and he couldn’t help the spark of arousal he felt upon seeing you so deeply asleep.
He paced back and forth for a few minutes, his heart pounding with thrill and his blood rushing through his body before Toji felt capable enough to also sit down in the car to drive you to your apartment.
~~~
Yukimaru wasn’t waiting in the lobby when he walked into the building with you peacefully asleep on his bag. Toji was pleasantly surprised when he spotted her nowhere but then again, it was 03:13 am already so perhaps even she had already fallen asleep by now. He could have called her and Toji had no doubt that she would have answered his call and would have hurried down within 5 minutes whilst decently dressed to bring you to the 4th floor.
But was that really neccessary when he could just do the same?
He had only been in your apartment once when he had first signed the contract to be your bodyguard and he was sure that you wouldn't hold it against him. You weren't Yukimaru after all who still had a vendetta against him for not having told him about the accident a few months ago when you had invited him into the izakaya where both of you had met for the first time and had been followed on the way home. Yukimaru would just make everything unneccesarily complicated.
He rummaged through your handbag before fishing the key out amongst all of the content stuffed inside and headed with you to the lift. Honestly, you had a lot of random things just stuffed inside of your handbag that it honestly took him a while to find the small key. You had some KitKat inside there with a lot of different flavors, some cute clingers you had probably just bought on impulse whilst wandering around outside, your flip phone and some files that you were probably planning to go through whilst in the comfort of your apartment. There was also a picture of what he assumed was an island there, somewhat wrinkled around the edges already as it looked to be older than all of the other stuff you had in your bag.
As he turned the key around and pressed the now activated button to allow the lift to go to the highest floor, he wondered when he would also receive one of those keys. He was the only one who lived in this building who didn't have a key and that despite having worked for you since more than a year. Admittedly, the only people living here were Sone, Yukimaru and you but it was still strange. Wasn't he doing a good job? Weren't you trusting him? Or was it Yukimaru who just prevented you from giving him also a key because she didn't trust him yet?
He squeezed his eyes shut to silence all of those thoughts as he brought you to your apartment, unlocking this door too after having found the right device to do in your handbag. His eyes couldn't help but briefly dart around the interior as he hadn't been here since over a year ago although he didn't admire your home for too long before he started looking for your bedroom. After 3 failed attempts by walking into the wrong room because you had too many of them, he finally found your bedroom.
He carefully placed you onto the mattress. And then he just looked at you. He should have left your apartment right now because his job was done. But instead he just stood there over your form sprawled on the bed, green eyes slowly moving up and down your body before landing on your face. There was something very serene about your sleeping face. There was something very beautiful about you.
He swallowed as he felt his heart pounding against his ribcage again as the desire from earlier returned. It felt like with every heartbeat heat slowly spread through his veins as his eyes trailed greedily down your body, focusing on the sliver of skin he could see through your black blouse that was slightly pushed up your stomach. His hands twitched before they slowly moved up and grabbed your hip. Green eyes were glued to your face, ready to pull back and disappear if you should give him any sign that you were about to wake up. Yet nothing happened as your exhaustion had gifted you with a deep sleep.
One of his hands slowly pushed itself underneath your blouse, his fingers massaging the warm skin and flesh on your stomach whilst his other hand trailed up and down your form, feeling every curve on your body. He could feel the heat in his body increasing as he savored the warmth of your skin, his fingers slowly creeping up further until he brushed against the material of your bra.
This was wrong.
He knew that this could get him easily fired if anyone would find out about this. He knew that he should stop this. He knew that he should have probably felt bad about molesting you whilst you were asleep from a hard and long day at work.
Yet besides a very tiny amount of guilt, Toji didn't feel bad. No, he enjoyed this.
His lips met your own as he leaned down to your face. At first it was still in a more careful manner but as soon as the feeling of your soft lips filled his senses, he got more frisky as the kiss got rougher and more heated. Hands started grabbing your body in a tighter hold, squeezing your warm flesh and Toji couldn't help the groan when he felt his cock tightening against his pants.
Fuck...He really wanted to...
The moment a grumble left your lips, his thoughts stopped. He instantly removed himself from you, slightly-alarmed and still half-aroused. You turned to the other side of the bed, your back now facing him as you continued grumbling for a while until you had found a comfortable position. Only then did you stop squirming around. Toji didn't move, focusing on your still body and your even breath before he slowly started to move again.
His own breath was much more irregular than your own as he still felt his blood rushing through his veins in excitement.
You were still asleep. You hadn't woken up. He could still-
He abruptly turned around and left your bedroom, hurrying down the floor before leaving your apartment entirely, quietly shutting the door behind him. He didn't stop though as he walked with fast and long footsteps down the corridor until he stepped into the lift and pressed the button to the third floor.
His mind was racing as he pressed himself against the wall of the elevator. There were so many things he would have needed to comprehend yet the time in the lift was too short for him to even begin to grasp what had just happened. A few seconds just passed with him staring outside the lift before he finally pushed himself away from the wall. His eyes quickly landed on Yukimaru's door as soon as he stepped outside the elevator because the last thing he would have needed right now would have been getting stuck in a one-sided conversation with her where she would most likely belittle and scold him again for something. Yet he couldn't hear any steps from behind her door.
So even Yukimaru Aki wasn't working all the time whils simultanously acting like a mild helicopter parent when it came to you, huh?
He still made an effort to silently unlock the door to his apartment and silently closing it behind him just in case. He took his shoes off and then he just stood there in the floor of his apartment, staring at the space in front of him.
Logically speaking he should have just headed to bed to get a whiff of sleep before standing up again in about 2 hours. However, he doubted that he could. Not with his heart beating so loudly against his chest. Not with his blood and arousal pumping through his body. Not with the racing thoughts he could barely manage to organise.
Toji let out a sigh as he ran his hand through his slightly tousled hair. His eyes wandered down his own body as he examined his own erection before his eyes darted to the bathroom. A shower was out of question unless he wanted to risk waking Yukimaru up but he supposed taking a bath wouldn't be so bad right now.
He discarded his shirt carelessly on the ground as soon as he stepped inside the bathroom and quickly turned on the faucet, turning it around until the water was steaming as it poured inside the bathtub. He watched the process with only half of his mind there as the other one drifted elsewhere.
He pursed his lips as they started tingling when he recalled what he had just done with you in an attempt to get rid of the sensation of your warm lips pressed against his own.
He felt his heart picking up its speed again as an unfamiliar feeling started filling him, something that surpassed the simple physical desires even if a part of him would have wanted to just let those sensations stay at nothing more than sexual needs.
It was a genuine yearning for you. A genuine yearning to have you pressed underneath his own body, to feel your every inch against him and to never let go of your warmth. He wanted to keep you inside his arms, never let another man near you, never let anyone keep him away from you...
When he felt a hot sensation sloshing against his fingers, his green eyes regained their focus. The bathtub was nearly filled to the brim with steaming hot water and he hadn't even realised until now. He quickly turned the faucet off before the water could spill on the floor even more and was forced to drain a bit of the liquid in the bathtub unless he wanted to spill half of it as soon as he would step inside.
He removed the last few pieces of clothing from his body before he finally got inside and he had to swallow the tiniest groan that he wanted to let out when the hot water engulfed his still erect and much more sensitive member. Toji tried to ignore the throbbing sensation though as he tilted his head back, his eyelids partially closed as he stared at the white ceiling.
He was trying to will his heartbeat to slow down yet the more he tried to relax, the worse it got. Thoughts of you kept on popping up, some memories of his and some images that only made him more aware of his aching erection.
He wouldn't have really cared about jerking off in the bathtub normally but it was the fact that he couldn't pin this down to mere sexual lust that had him hesitate. His eyes narrowed when he tried to recall when exactly his feelings for you who should have just been another source for money had changed so drastically. This wasn't like him.
The last woman he had had a thing with, he couldn't even remember her face nor her name, had exactly been what he had thought you to be when he had initially accepted your job offer. She had been a little fountain of money for him to get by for a while and she had been only loved for her money and her usefulness when it came to sexually pleasing him. Now that he thought about it, he faintly remembered something else about her. Didn't that woman also have a child of her own? Had they been a girl or a boy? Toji just couldn't remember.
Yet he could remember everything about you so clearly. He remembered your addiction to KitKat and all the weird flavors this country thought the people would enjoy as well as your addiction to coffee since you couldn't properly work without at least one cup of this liquid in the early morning. He remembered how you had one time bought him multiple boxes of beer just for him to prove to you that he really couldn't get drunk and even the one ridiculous time where you had asked him to squeeze an apple in his hands with all of his strength. He could still recall the look of amazement when the fruit had turned into puree in his hand and he even remembered the one time where Aki had to hold you back from buying a watermelon because you had wanted him to squish that thing with his biceps. Sometimes you really had just such spontanous and silly ideas, didn't you?
You were different from the last woman he had hooked up with solely for money and sexual relief. You weren't just another source of money or pleasure. You...you were something more, weren't you?
This was a problem.
He had never even expected in the slightest to develop feelings for one of his clients. He hadn't loved any woman since...
"Take care of Megumi for me."
He all but ripped the small hand shower attached to the bathtub out of its hold and turned the faucet on. His one hand abruptly turned the handle around until the water pouring out of the hand shower was almost scorching hot. His skin flushed as he just poured the hot water over his head, his neck, his shoulders and the little bit of his chest that was peeking out from the water that was already in the bathtub.
When he turned the faucet off again, his skin had turned red from the exposure to the very hot water. Wet strands of hair were covering his eyes but he didn't care enough to slick them back. He didn't want to care about anything.
He didn't want to remember...
~~~
Aki stirred only half-awake from her sleep. Not enough to sit up, not even enough to open her heavy eyelids. Just enough to be faintly aware that she was awake and cuddled up in her blanket.
She let out a tired grunt as she managed to gather the strength to turn around to the other side of her bed, determined to use every minute she had left before her alarm clock would wake her up and she would start her routine of taking a quick and lukewarm shower, dressing up, taking a quick breakfast and applying her makeup before driving with either Sone-san or (y/n) to the company to work.
Speaking of (y/n), had she actually already returned by now. Aki hoped so because as much as she appreciated your new fervor of working as hard as you did, she didn't want you to overwork yourself too many nights in a row. Although Aki probably wasn't the best person to scold you for this as she herself had been often guilty for that. She knew that this zealousy would end in only a few days though as soon as you had emptied your schedule enough to deserve a few days off. You'd been working so hard in order to make time to travel back there after all.
How long had it been since Aki had last been there? 4 years? Yes, that sounded about right. The last time the both of you had been there had been after the death of Kaito-san and Daisuke-san when Sone-san had told you that you had been appointed the new CEO of the Ito company. It had been Daisuke's last wish before he had died in the hospital after all...
Aki had been that close to drifting back to sleep again when she heard a muffled groan which she assumed was coming from Fushiguro's apartment. She tiredly lifted her head, her eyes half-closed as she stared at the wall separating her and Fushiguro's apartment as she blearily tried to listen for another one of those sounds. What had that sound been in the first place? There were no animals that he kept as far as she knew next to the fact that pets were forbidden in this building anyways.
She waited for a minute or two before the muscles in her neck grew sore and she let her head flop back on the pillow again. She was not willing to stay awake and listen to what her neighbour was doing in his apartment if she hadn't just imagined that sound altogether.
~~~
"Waiting for (y/n) down here?" Sone asked him as him and Yukimaru left the elevator together, both of them about to drive to the company. Toji was sitting on the small couch in the lobby, already dressed up. Green eyes cracked open when he heard the older man's voice and instead of saying anything, he just gave a nod before tilting his head back again.
"You look a bit tired. When exactly did (y/n) and you arrive here last night?" This time he didn't look back up when it was this time Yukimaru asking him the question. Instead he just answered in a few short sentences.
"Don't know exactly. After 3am."
"She really is turning more like you now, wouldn't you agree?" Sone spoke up again, amused as he directed his question at Yukimaru.
"She is working quite hard now but that definitely won't be a permanent thing. We all know that she'll go back to her old ways as soon as she has cleared out her schedule."
"You're probably right but I think it's better that way."
"I agree with you...I wonder if I should call her again to ask where she is."
"There is no need to call her again. I'm sure she'll come any moment now. Why don't we already drive to the company. (y/n) is under professional protection after all."
"...Fine. Let's go. Fushiguro-san, you should probably start packing your stuff slowly. We'll most likely leave in only a few more days if (y/n) keeps up her work like this."
What?
What did that mean? Was there some unannounced business trip he hadn't been told about yet? He wanted to ask Yukimaru what she meant by that but both of them had already left the building at that point and he ultimately didn't care enough to stand up and follow them. He would just ask you about this.
It took you probably about 5 minutes more before you finally came out of the lift with slow steps, your makeup unable to hide your tired expression. Toji stood up as soon as he saw you, taking in your exhausted form. You blinked a few times in a comedically tired way before you looked up to see his face.
"Toji, we need to stop by at a convenience store before driving to work. I need at least 2 more cups coffee if I want to function today."
"Sure. We can do that." He simply answered you, waiting for you as you trudged off to the parking lot before following you. Like that you didn't realise how he was scrutinizing you. It didn't seem like you could remember anything from last night. This was good. He didn't know what had come over him only a few hours ago but those feelings for you were still there. He could feel them rushing through his body as he looked how you dragged yourself to the car before opening the door and flopping down into the passenger seat.
"Thank you for bringing me to my apartment after work by the way. It was you who brought me there, right?"
You asked in a lazy voice as soon as he sat down in the car as well. He gave you a short nod as he started the engine. So you really weren't aware of anything that had happened.
Your head was turned around as your gaze was half-focused on the scenery you could see outside the window as the car left the parking lot.
"You know, I had a really weird dream." You suddenly spoke up out of the blue whilst he was driving, the earlier tiredness and laziness in your voice suddenly gone. Your head was still turned away but as Toji dared to quickly dart his eyes to your side, he realised that you were looking at him through the reflection of the window. You were observing his reactions.
"Really? What dream?" He asked as casually as possible whilst focusing on the streets.
"I don't really remember too clearly. I think you were inside my dream." You answered with a slight hum to your tone that told him that you couldn't clearly recall clearly what had happened but the way your eyes gazed at his reflection in the window told him everything he needed to know. You were suspecting him.
"I was in your dream? Hope it was a nice one then." He replied as the streets outside the car started filling with people as both of you drove into the parts of the city that were always full.
"I haven't made up my mind yet whether I should consider it as a nice dream or not."
There was tension. He could sense it even if neither of you were looking at each other. He had to stop himself from gripping the wheel any tighter in his hands as he kept his posture as relaxed and casual as possible.
"Aki woke me up this morning by giving me a call to remind me kindly to get the fuck up. I nearly overslept there so I'm grateful at least. Whilst we were talking a bit on the phone though, she mentioned to me that she thought that she heard a few weird noises from your apartment. She was not even half-awake though so she just brushed it off as unimportant and went back to sleep."
Fuck.
"Didn't you go directly to sleep after you brought me to my apartment? You know that Aki wouldn't like knowing that my bodyguard isn't in the best condition whilst protection me."
He couldn't answer too quick nor could he take too long. So Toji just decided to answer your question with a little bit of truth.
"I couldn't really sleep last night so I just took a bath instead."
"...A bath?"
That's when you turned your head to him again, your eyelids apparently still quite heavy but your gaze still somewhat sharp.
"You fit into the bathtub?"
He let out an airy chuckle when he heard your question.
"I'm not an actual giant, you know?"
"You're taller and broader than the average Japanese men by a few good measurements. And to some people you definitely are a real life giant. I know that Aki sometimes thinks of you that way at least."
"It isn't hard to be taller than Aki."
"Hey, don't just say that so casually. I know people who are even tinier than Aki. I think both of us are just spoiled by being taller than the average Japanese men and women. And even I feel small when standing next to you."
Both of you were currently definitely dabbling into a lighter conversation but Toji was still sensing your gaze glued to him. He was thinking more carefully now whether or not he should say something next or if he should wait for you to continue the conversation.
Luckily for him though the closest convenience store he could find just came into his vision as he quickly steered the car to the small parking lot in front of it.
You quickly stumbled out of the car as soon as he had stopped the engine, desperate for more caffeine. Toji was quick to follow you. It didn't seem like you planned to speak up again which normally was the case but you were tired after all so you weren't yourself right now. When both of you entered the store though, he remembered a question that he had been meaning to ask you since his earlier encounter with Sone and Yukimaru.
"Talking about weird things Aki mentions, she told me something interesting earlier too."
"Really? What did she tell you?"
"She mentioned that I should start packing my things. We going somewhere or what? I don't know about anything upcoming where we have to leave."
You shortly slowed down even further with your steps.
"Dang it. That's right. I completely forgot to tell you."
Your voice finally shifted somewhat back to your normal tone even if you still sounded tired.
"So we are leaving Tokyo for something?"
"You bet we do. I haven't worked my butt off for all those days without something to motivate me."
"I assume that it isn't anything related to business then." Toji guessed as he heard your words because he knew that you rarely worked with work as your one and only motive.
"It definitely isn't."
"So where are we going?"
"Oshima Island."
"...Never heard of it."
"I don't blame you. It's an island close to Tokyo."
"Why are we going there of all places?"
"...I never told you, did I?" You asked as you tilted your head to look at him whilst finally finding the section where this store sold all the coffee. Toji narrowed his eyes when he heard your question. Your tone was quite light now but he could somehow sense that you were about to tell him something important.
"Aki and I grew up on this island. I'm visiting my parents there."

Kaiju Week in Review (November 20-26, 2022)
Tumblr media
Megumi Odaka, best known as psychic Miki Saegusa from the Heisei Godzilla series, retired from acting in 2000 due to health issues and disappeared from the public eye for a decade. The narration she contributed to Godzilla vs. Gigan Rex was her first role since then, and she's finally ready to go back in front of the camera. 3Y Film (The Great Buddha Arrival, Nezura 1964) has a new kaiju movie in the works, Hoshi 35, which Odaka is set to star in. Since it's a 3Y joint, and part of a celebration of the 35 years since her acting debut, expect it to get meta. As usual, Hiroko Yokokawa is directing; another key player is Daisuke Sato (Howl from Beyond the Fog), who will serve as director of special effects, cinematographer, and suitmaker (with Tomoya Ayaki).
3Y productions are known for bringing back veteran kaiju actors, and Hoshi 35 has already cast several besides Odaka, this time focusing on the Heisei era instead of the Showa era. Jun Hashizume played MOGUERA pilot Koji Shindo in Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla and Kojiro Inaba in Ultraman Z, Daijiro Harada was Mechagodzilla captain Takuya Sasaki in Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II, and Akira Ohashi stepped inside Gamera in Gamera 2, Iris in Gamera 3, and King Ghidorah in GMK. He'll be playing another monster in this one, Hoshikuzu. Hiroshi Miyasaka and Yumiko Tanaka will appear as well.
No plot details are currently known. The film is aiming for a October 2023 release date.
Tumblr media
Gridman Universe, the crossover film for SSSS.GRIDMAN and SSSS.DYANZENON, has a new pair of posters and a teaser trailer. It'll hit theaters in Japan on March 24 (and hopefully arrive in the West before the year is out). Excessive fanservice aside, I really enjoyed GRIDMAN, but haven't gotten around to DYNAZENON yet... it aired in Spring 2021, which was a pretty chaotic time to be a Wikizilla editor, and I think I was under the impression it was all mecha, no kaiju. Guess I have to now!
Tumblr media
Veteran Ultra Series director Takeshi Yagi debuted a proof-of-concept short at Tokyo Comic Con called AKARI, which you can also watch online. The story is simple—a giant heroine (Akari) battles a rampaging cyborg kaiju (Pythagodon) in a futuristic, neon city—but Yagi and company have far greater ambitions for it. They created it as part of a course on tokusatsu techniques, and hope to turn it into a feature or series with the funds from that course, as well as other crowdfunding efforts. The story they've drawn up is pretty intriguing: a 2076 Japan where corporations run amok, the AI uprising is at hand, and an alien race who survived their own rogue AI empowers a woman to save the Earth.
Matt Frank designed Akari. Akihiko Iguchi (Mechagodzilla, King Caesar, Titanosaurus) came up with Pythagodon, and boy, you can tell. I hope we haven't seen the last of them.
Tumblr media
One more kaiju short for you to watch: Ivalla the Land Mine Monster: Case of Extra. This one is in more dire need of subtitles to get the full experience, but there's still a quality rampage to witness. From the other videos on the channel, Yuki Kurosu has been working on this for 8 years—props for persevering!
youtube
Godziban squeezed another episode out of Godzilla Festival 2022, this one focusing on the puppet displays and demonstrations at the event and the upcoming Blu-ray-only episodes which will see Bagan make his debut and many others battling it out.
youtube
Kadokawa released a fine video tribute to Gamera for his 57th birthday, which naturally ends by teasing the Netflix project. Interesting that they skipped over the 2015 short though.
Tumblr media
Your reading assignment for the week is Patrick Galvan's excellent tribute to Kazuki Omori for Toho Kingdom, a well-researched overview of his career and analysis of the two Godzilla films he directed.

The clouds are no where to be seen against the dark blue sky, the stars and moon contrasting in a different color. Various shades  ranging from light blue to dark indigo blends together under the streetlights of the compound, the Uchiha insignia stitched to their backs. A faint light glows from the main house, four faint shadows seen through the shoji doors, silent against the bustling noise of children and adults hurrying to come home. The air in the dining room is tense, no tinkling laughs from the youngest nor the fond scolding of the mother to her sons’ mischievousness.  Mikoto Uchiha takes another bowl of miso soup to give her youngest, as Itachi’s chopsticks holds on to a piece of seared fish, Fugaku gulping down water. Sasuke thanks his mother for the bowl before leaning forwards, listening intently to his father’s story. “You need to avoid falling for a Uzumaki or a Nara,” Fugaku murmurs gently to his youngest, as Mikoto smiles. His big dark grey doe eyes stare at them, attention captivated and memorizing every word they spout. Silence descends on the table as he collects his bearings. He knows, that his parents married out of duty, for the clan. He was able to hear it when he passed Daisuke-oji in the clan market, making him question his parents. He later asked his parents, prompting them to explain the arranged marriage, the clan needing an appropriate wife for the clan heir, later on deciding on Mikoto. She would tell them how she missed doing missions, and his father telling stories about their battles as teens. Sasuke was angry at first, knowing that his parents didn’t marry out of love, but the more time he spent to wrap it around his head, made it easier to understand. His brother is always there to clarify it, and they would ask their parents if Itachi can’t explain. They always reassure them, that despite being in an arranged marriage, it doesn’t change the fact they both love them with their whole hearts. His parents try to be subtle in front of him, but he knows. Being an Uchiha makes it impossible to not see their longing gazes, their schooled features masking their pining, their desire to be with their true lovers. They don’t regret having them, always trying their best to shower them with love, that he appreciates. ‘I couldn’t love Fugaku at first. But I learned how, even if I like girls.’ Mikoto smiles at him, ‘Fugaku found a way to be the only exception, he became dear to my heart to the point that it would break my heart if I lose him.’ Despite being the second-born, he’s a prodigy in his own right, sharp senses and lightning fast reflexes. He can see his mother’s discreet glances when they walk through the village’s streets, always trailing after the bright red hair of his aunt Kushina. ‘I love her,’ she once murmured when she was tucking him to bed, his six-year-old brain not yet aware that she’s hinting at the hot-blooded jinchuuriki. The powerful kunoichi was able to take his mother’s heart, with her bright smiles and fierce personality, while his mother aches for hers.   His father, even if he rarely accompanies him, was too obvious for him to figure out. His eyes would soften when he sees Shikaku-san, his frowns lessening and replaced with faint smiles, his cold and distant expression disappearing. ‘Clan heirs rarely get to marry another, after all, they are there to serve for the best of their clan.’ He follows his father’s gaze, seated beside him on the porch as the sun sets, ‘It’s hard to oppose the clan for your own desire. Clan heirships can be passed to the second-born, although, Itachi already took it. So promise me Sasuke, fight for whoever you fall in love with.’ He stares at his parents grim expressions in front of him, the names Shikamaru and Naruto unspoken, their gazes heavy on his shoulders. He breathes out heavily before nodding. “I’ll try not to.” he ducks his head, as Mikoto sighs at him, before deft fingers ruffle his hair. “You don’t have to force yourself not to. As long as you try.”  They’re only looking out for him, Naruto being the only heir of Uzumaki and Shikamaru as the only child of the Clan Head.  Mikoto claps her hands, before Itachi huffs in amusement, as they start cleaning the table. He wanders to his mother’s side, helping her with the dishes, earning him a fond laugh. Fugaku rolls his eyes before leaning on the doorway of the kitchen, watching the matriarch piles the plates on the sink as Itachi and Sasuke splashes each other with suds and water.  He was 8 years old when his cousin was rescued by Tsume Inuzuka in the river barely breathing, one of his sockets empty.  He was turning 9 when he arrives in their house with his parents were killed in front of his eyes, his Sharingan activating in his horror, the vision being imprinted in his mind with clarity, while his vision blurs with tears. He screams when his parents drop dead in front of him as the hooded figure runs out the window, scrambling to keep his parents alive. He cauterizes their wounds, trying to stall their death as his hands get covered in his parents’ blood. His chakra spiked hard, being sensed throughout the village as Itachi runs full-speed to the compound, Kakashi on his tail as they both sensed the abrupt spike. It was two weeks before his birthday when he is looking blankly at the white wall in front of him, dried blood flaking off his fingers as Itachi paces in front of them, his masked ANBU teammates murmuring faintly by the door. He doesn’t spare a glance when the door opens in haste as he stares intently at the sparkling marble of the floor, the memory repeatedly showing up in the forefront of his mind.  His brother was unapproachable, jumbled thoughts and distracted, while he’s detached, unresponsive as Minato shakes him out of his stupor, worried blue eyes staring back at him. “Sasuke, calm down, deep breaths. Focus on my breaths.” he follows his uncle’s breathing, the exaggerated breaths and counting making it easier to follow, as Kushina wipes off the blood on his trembling hands. He leans back on the chair, trying to calm down his pounding heart, as Kushina soothes him, kissing his temple. Itachi is being held by Hound, his brother still against the arms wrapped around his shoulders. Kushina tucks his head under her chin as she rubs his back, the Uchiha in her lap feeling numb. Shikaku burst open the doors as the medical-nin walks out with a grim expression, “We tried to stabilize and resuscitate. Unfortunately, they have passed away.”  Sasuke’s blood runs cold, as he chokes on a breath, staring down on his shaking hands. Itachi falters, staggering to his brother as Sasuke climbs on his lap, crying. He schools hisi features to hide his grief while he comforts his brother, burying his tear-stricken face in his Sasuke’s unruly hair.  He was nine-years-old when he blows bright red flames beside Itachi on the pyre, clouded onyx eyes watching the flickering flame. He doesn’t have anymore tears to shed as clan members kneel around them, making him lean on his brother on support as they let their hands drop, standing there until the flames turns to ember. “You need to avoid falling for a Uzumaki or a Nara.” he distantly remembers as he walks alongside Itachi back to the house, ignoring their sopping wet clothes. Sasuke links his fingers under his chin, averting his eyes to the window to hide his pained eyes. His knuckles turn white as he senses two males settle beside him, staying quiet and reserved as Naruto talks loudly with Shikamaru, watching them from the corner of his eyes. He hides the twitch of his lips as Naruto plans the prank on their sensei, Shikamaru scolding the blond for even attempting the ridiculous idea.  The door opens, making him glance at it tiredly, only to see Kakashi. He clenches his eyes shut, before following them out the door. You need to avoid falling for a Uzumaki or a Nara. He chuckles deprecatingly, hopefully it doesn’t resort to that. Diabolik Lovers Zero Vol. 12 Azusa Mukami [Track 1]
Tumblr media
Original title: 串刺しの蝶たち
Source: Diabolik Lovers Zero Vol. 12 Azusa Mukami [CD not owned by me]
Audio: Here
Seiyuu: Kishio Daisuke
Translator’s note: The second to last Zero CD I have to translate before completing the entire series, wooh~! I know Azusa isn’t a very popular character within the fandom, but I actually have a huge soft spot for him after translating his Eternal Blood CD. ;w; He is just such a cutie at times, it warms my heart. Hearing his ‘clone’ talk regularly completely threw me off though! He sounds so different, but in a good way! I kind of wish Azusa would start talking a little faster himself but I suppose that’s part of the charm of his character?

*Creaaaaak*
*THUD*
The two of you step inside the museum.
“It’s really...pouring outside, huh?”
You nod.
“I’m glad we just so happened...to pass by a place where we can take shelter from the rain...If not, we might have ended up...wandering through the forest while sopping wet...However, if we return home late...Ruki and the others will...get worried. I wonder if we should have just...headed straight home after finishing our errand?”
You frown.
“It has been a while since we visited the Demon World...So we just wanted to make a little detour, right...?”
*CRASH*
You flinch at the thunder.
“...Oh. It struck closeby...With the weather like this...It seems smart to stay here...until the rain lifts...”
You agree.
“We’ll end up returning home late but...Let’s stay here just a little longer? Then after we’re back...We can apologize to everyone. I’m sure they’ll understand...If we explain.”
You nod.
“Mmh. I suppose we can kill some time...inside this building?”
Azusa starts looking around.
“Hm...But...I didn’t expect to find a museum around here...Seems like we are the only visitors though...Furthermore...Oh. What an impressive amount of portraits...Several people are portrayed...Seeing them all lined up next to each other like this...makes me a little anxious.”
You tell him it’s a little creepy.
“Mmh. I’m sure they would have made for nice paintings...if only their expressions were a little more bright...But they all seem to be suffering. ...That large canvas over there...The man on it looks sad, don’t you think? I wonder if he...went through a painful experience? ...This museum is kinda...weird.”
*CRASH*
“Ah...! ...Ah, are you okay? ...The thunder is a little scary here, don’t you think? It said on the guide map that there’s a basement floor as well...So should we move there?”
*TIMESKIP*
You have arrived in the basement.
“Just as I thought...We can’t hear the thunder down here...It’s less illuminated than the earlier floor but...It seems comfortable to stay at.”
Azusa comes to a halt.
“Oh. A door. I wonder what room this is...?”
He opens the door.
*Creaaaak*
“Woah...It’s so spacious...There’s a bunch of glass cases...Are they exhibiting something, perhaps...? ...Oh! There’s a lot of...insects. They all look like...specimen.”
You get scared, hiding behind Azusa.
*Rustle*
“Oh? What’s wrong...? No need to hide...They can’t move, so it’s fine...”
You still seem worried.
“Hm...There’s a lot of species from the Demon World but...I can spot some insects which exist in the human world as well...Ah! This! These are the bugs which devastated Yuma’s garden in the past...They ate the vegetables Yuma had been carefully growing...It was quite the fiasco...Me and Kou had to help him get rid of the bugs as well...Fufu~ Brings back memories...”
The two of you continue looking around.
“...Oh. Now that I got a better look, they’re displayed all over the walls as well. I wonder if that...large insect the size of a cushion is...real?”
You get scared again.
“...Oh. Ah...Huh? Your complexion looks...pale?”
You explain.
“Ah...I’m sorry. I guess these are scary to you...even if they can’t move? Yet I failed to notice...Shall we leave this room now?”
You try and act tough.
“You don’t look okay...No need to push yourself...Okay?”
*Rustle*
“Your body is...shaking. Hey, come here.”
Azusa pulls you close.
*Rustle rustle*
“I’m sure you’ll calm down in my embrace...In no time...”
He starts stroking your head.
“There, there...Everything will be okay...I’m with you...after all...”
You smile.
“Mmh. I’m glad you seem a little more...relaxed. Ah...But you’re still a little tense...I wonder if we should touch each other more...?”
He cups your cheek.
“Whenever you do this to me...I always feel really relieved...So I figured you might feel the same...How is it?”
You tell him it feels nice.
“Fufu~ I’m glad...Then, next up...Mmh.”
*Smooch*
You get flustered.
“Hehe~ You twitched just now...Hm. Seems like you’re gradually relaxing...Also the scent of your blood...has grown sweeter. Does it feel...good, perhaps? Oh. Right. If you feel good, you’ll no longer be bothered by the specimen, right...?”
*Rustle*
“Say...I’ll suck your blood. If I do that, you don’t have to worry about a thing...”
You seem a little worried.
“Don’t worry...Leave it to me. Mmh...”
Azusa bites you.
*Gulp*
*Sluuuurp*
“Haah...Mmh...Your blood is...extremely delicious. Say, do you feel good now?”
You don’t respond.
“What’s the matter? Was this...simply not enough? Hm...Hehe. However, you’re enraptured. Your cheeks are flushed and...you’ve got that dreamy look in your eyes. Haah...I wonder why you are this cute?”
You quickly cover your face with both hands.
“Oh...Why would you hide your face? I want to...see it.”
You explain.
“It’s...embarrassing? Hm...There’s really no reason to conceal it though. But...If you don’t want to, I won’t force you...You can keep your hands there, okay? I’ll suck your blood from here...”
He bites you again.
*Sluuuuurp*
“...Haah...Such sweet noises...Even though you said it’s embarrassing...You actually wanted me to do this...right? Hehe. I’ll bite other places too...”
*Sluuuuurp*
*Gulp gulp*
“Mmh...Hah...Haah...Oh. You no longer...need to hide your face? Has your mind...gone blank?”
You nod.
“Fufu~ I’m glad that’s the case. ...Your body has...stopped shivering as well, it seems...I wanted to do this for your sake but...I ended up getting a little too into it as well. Hm...The wounds aren’t deep so I’m sure the bleeding has stopped already...”
Azusa takes a deep breath.
“The whole room’s filled with the scent of blood now, huh...? It might be good that there’s...no other Vampires here. If someone else was around, it might have lead to trouーー”
A sudden gust of wind can be heard.
“O-Oh...? Ah...What was that just now...? The sound of the wind...? It kind of sounded like someone...crying?”
You tell Azusa you don’t like being here.
“...M-Mmh...Guess we should take our leave soon...? It might have...stopped raining by now. Let’s head back up.”
*TIMESKIP*
*Creaaaak*
“Ugh...Oh? Huh? We ended up in a...different room? Did we take...a wrong turn?”
Azusa steps into the room.
“It’s better lit than the other rooms...There’s a canvas and art supplies...Everything’s all over the place. ...Seems like this isn’t an exhibition room. There’s no specimen either, so don’t worry. Say...This might be a working space? Oh...If that’s the case...We might get scolded for entering without permission, right? Let’s quickly leave. It’d be troublesome if...we were to stain something important...”
He bumps into something while turning around.
*Thud*
*Flip*
“...Aah! Oh...I dropped them...S-Sorry...!”
Azusa kneels down to pick up the papers and so do you.
“Ah...Thank you for helping me...”
The two of you pick up the drawings.
“I guess we’ve got them all now...?”
*Flip*
“Oh...These were drawn with...pencil, I suppose? What a beautiful person...It’s the same woman portrayed on all of them. I’m sure she was...someone very important.”
T/N: From this point onwards, I will be putting fake Azusa’s dialogue between ( ) and changing the font to bolded italics. This CD has both the real and the fake Azusa interacting with you and each other, so hopefully that will make it a bit easier to tell them apart.
( Exactly. She was important. )
“...E-Eh?”
( To me, she was irreplaceable.... )
“...!? W-Who are you...? Where are you...!?”
( Right here. Look at the wall. )
“Oh? ...Huh? My...portrait? Are you the one...who talked just now?”
( That’s right. Nice to meet you, dear visitors. Ah. I suppose it would be rude to introduce myself from within the canvas. )
The fake Azusa steps out of the frame.
( ...Uhm, let me greet you one more time. Nice to meet you, dear visitors. Welcome to the museum. )

eight months in somebody actually asked me abt visualive instead of me immediately annoying ppl about it without former notice. I might actually write properly for once 😳😳😳
OK OK!!!!! In this essay I will.... I will.... Visualive Adachi.... Visu/BURSTS INTO TEARS/
OKAY OKAY for real I just care Visualive so much (as someone who can’t fully understand Japanese AHAHA)
First I’ll add some foundation about what Visualive really is, then I talk abt Adachi in the latter parts of it because this is technically the first time I’m properly talking about this hehe 🐿
T....table of contents???
Visualive
Visualive the Evolution
Masami Itou
Visualive Adachi
Visualive the Evolution Adachi
Terms and Legend
VL - Visualive
VLE - Visualive the Evolution
stage - shortened for “stageplay”
面白い - omoshiroi (it’s just that specific)
Yuuya - VL Hero name
Hayato - VLE Hero name
Baba - Hero
Masami - Adachi
Taniguchi - Dojima
Saotome - Daisuke
Mamiya - Izanami
I add honorifics but sometimes I forget the hyphen intentionally or unintentionally I’m sorry if it makes it hard to read lol
all links have automatic timestamps for easy viewing. i mean. i hope the timestamps work
VISUALIVE “Persona 4.” A stage adaptation of SMT: Persona 4 by Atlus. It adapts the first part of the story, from the hero’s arrival to after recovering Mitsuo Kubo from the TV world. It also ends on a cliff hanger, showing a teaser of Shadow Naoto being projected on the screen.
It takes up a speedy recapitulation of the hero’s spring life, before slowing down and showing in depth his school life in summer. A day before Morooka-sensei’s death, there is a little skit with Kou, Daisuke and Adachi. The hero walks into the conversation before the two other boys leaving, and Morooka-sensei walking in on the student and detective. The next day follow’s the teacher’s death and the Investigation Team (IT) begin investigating their new lead.
From the words “visual” and “alive,” the niche of this stage was meant to be the fusion of live acting and visual digital projections. All seen from the stageplay with the colorful cast of actors and CG animations being projected on the screen. This offers an opportunity for characters to summon their personas, perform cool visual effects, change the backdrop, or even confront their own Shadows.
Performed in Sunshine Theater from the 15th to the 20th of March 2012. The screenplay was written and directed by Shintaro Asanuma from the theatrical group “bpm.” The video production produced by Shutaro Oku, a film director and visual planner. He later takes over as director for VISUALIVE THE EVOLUTION, the sequel stage. The stage music was produced by Shunsuke Wada, with a special show exclusive vocal track sung by Shihoko Hirata.
On this note, I haven’t seen any sort of original soundtrack released for any of the stages and I’m SO SAD. The last song in Mitsuo’s boss fight was such a BANGER and literally EVERYTHING ELSE Marvelous, Wadasan please take my MONEY
Regarding the cast, there were some special accommodations for Teddie, Rise, and Nanako, all of which did not have live actors at the time. During the casting, actors for the three characters could not be found or simply left the directors unsatisfied they couldn’t cast anybody. An exception for Rise, who was able to have a live actor in the sequel stage. It has been stated that there weren’t any “pretty boy” actors that fit the “Teddie Criteria.” While there weren’t any child actors that were believed to portray Nanako well.
Teddie was only ever seen in his bear costume while Rise was busy talking through a call, all voiced by their video game cast. Nanako has never appeared on stage, only being scarcely mentioned in the script. Again, this is different in the sequel stage where her role was extremely important and was shown as a screen projection.
VISUALIVE “Persona 4” THE EVOLUTION. A sequel stage. Beginning abruptly in the middle of Shadow Naoto’s boss fight, the story continues from there until the “true end” of the game’s original story. *Certain characters are introduced while others have been reintroduced. And on a personal note, when it’s all comedic in the beginning, it’s all for what’s coming right after.
I don’t know if I’m salty or just find it really funny AHAHA I might go talk abt it some other day with more context ehehe
Performed in The Galaxy Theater from the 3rd to the 9th of October 2012, only a few months after the PSVITA Persona 4 Golden release, which is July 2012. The screenplay was now written by Jun Kumagi while directed by Shutaro Oku. And music production finally taken over by Shoji Meguro himself.
---
HAHAHA this is starting to look like a wiki page. moving on. I might start rambling rn
(warning LONG !!!! aaa,,)
My thoughts on the stage adaptations. For the first Visualive (VL) I believe it’s pretty close to canon! I enjoy the characterization and how much love and care was present when handling the entire production.
Actors were busy playing the game itself, wherein a PS2 was present in the practice room. Along with magazines and game guides explaining the game’s story and the characters itself. Actors performing together and even improv acting together to get a grasp of their characters. All of them knowing well of Persona 4 as a well loved game, delicately handling their characters and hopefully performing them right while making the audience happy.
The staff taking care of each other while the director and video producer, Asanuma-san and Oku-san, working together well to make their vision into a reality.
The same thing happened with VL the Evolution (VLE) and literally every other good stage. Except... I feel the script kinda got out of hand with too much liberty where it feels a bit more disconnected from canon. But! It makes up for it in its content, whether comedic or (INCREDIBLY) dramatic! It’s great as its own story at that point. So in this case, I like to take the first VL and get to connect it canon, while I don’t know what the hell happened in VLE to the point I’ll just enjoy it as its own content.
These opinions deserve its own essay, post whatever bc I have SO much to say abt this. ANYWAY. VL ADACHI
---
Tohru Adachi is portrayed by Masami Itou (伊藤マサミ), a screenplay writer, director and an stage actor himself. He does have a single character voice role along with a fellow troupe member in the same franchise, but mostly works as the former three. He is part of Asanuma-san’s entertainment group “bpm.” On a similar note, Masashi Taniguchi, Dojima’s actor, was also part of their group from 2011 to 2016, which may explain their good synergy as the boss and the bumbling fool dynamic. I mean, somebody’s gotta get hit in the head every few skits.
With Masami-san being an important part of the cast, he doesn’t appear as often as Taniguchi-san in backstage content like the VL bonus disk or the official blog. Mentioned in his own personal blog, he had been busy with his roles as assistant director (I am assuming also for VL).
Also fun to note, because his role is mainly comic relief, he has been using his liberty to change up the material almost everyday making each performance exciting. This also leaves some other actors jealous of his freedom in his role, such as Saotome-san, Daisuke’s actor.
---
VL Adachi really has a... how do I say this? an adorable speech pattern (THE SAME SPEECH PATTERN THAT DROVE ME MAD TRYING TO DECIPHER I THOUGHT YOU WERE A CITY BOY OSSU OSSU MY ASS /shakes you violently/). Overall, he really fits the loose lipped bumbling fool, and his accent really makes him seem more casual and invested. What I’m saying is... VL Adachi either actually has genuine empathy or he actually has more energy to fake it (compared to some other edgelord. i mean you saw my p4ga analysis. I’m sick of him lol ahaha).
One of my favorite ways to explain this (OTHER THAN CHAIR CAR ADVENTURE MY BELOVED WE’LL GET TO THAT LATER) is the rice field scene with him and Dojima. It’s overanalyzation time 🎉
youtube
(43:04)
While investigating, Adachi whines about being tired while Dojima smacks him in the head. In this case, it’s established that Adachi doesn’t want to be there, yes? It’s the country, it’s hot and it smells like green.
"Ah... Dojima-san..! Why don't we take a break? (...) There really is nothing out here... Is the criminal still even here at all? (...) I wonder if I've passed being a rookie yet. Haha, but this city doesn't even have convenient transportation. I can't go to leisure lands (recreation, amusement parks, arcades, ect.) and head home at all."
Adachi then tries to tell Dojima a story. “when I got to this city after being newly assigned, I met an interesting guy (...) Yeah, I remember that the cherry blossoms haven't bloomed yet. So, I was driving my car and got near the station and--” Dojima gets a phone call.
Adachi politely puts his hands down waiting for his boss to finish so he can finish the story. Again and again, Adachi attempts to talk to Dojima about a story he’s so persistent trying to tell someone about. It was so 面白い that he would find someone to talk to about it. Even being polite and patient enough to wait for a chance to speak. He even gets fed up with it and blows up in front of his boss, clearly irritated he’s not given a chance to talk.
Sure, it could be Adachi feeling fed up like a normal person where someone agreed he to listen to him, before being constantly ignored. Or Adachi trying to be a more annoying whiny brat, depending on where you look at it.
If the story wasn’t too “interesting” to Adachi, he would’ve just brushed it off and stopped talking to Dojima entirely, or start up new small talk, or even complain some more. But no, he had a story he wanted to voice out so bad that he got irritated that the one person in the vicinity couldn’t listen to him.
Only after Dojima told him to continue their investigation elsewhere did Adachi finally stop and focus on something else. Maybe that story was for another day, or maybe it was never meant to be told.
What if it was just original (game) Adachi? He’d find a way to squirrel out of the investigation as usual, or push Dojima to “investigate” elsewhere. “Hey boss, don’t you think it’s hot? Why don’t we go elsewhere? We’ve seen this place too many times to count and I doubt anything new’ll turn up. How about we take a break at Junes, y’know? Where it’s cool? C’mon boss,” something like that.
og Adachi is just really annoying and silly to me. Some grown man thinking he can freeload because he never gets anything out of putting in more energy and effort? I don’t care how tall he is, I will smack him in the head.
Yeah VL Adachi whines, too, but at least it doesn’t look like he’s going to escape and waste his time somewhere else. He just sucks it up stops trying to leave the situation.
Or maybe I’m getting this all wrong and VL is exactly the same and my rage just gets dampened because of Masamisan’s execution of character hmm...
SO. What was his story about anyway? The one he really wanted to share to Dojima?
I mean... it’s obvious enough
youtube
First day in town? Spring? Actually mentioned driving a car when literally out of every single persona 4 media at the time was there not a SINGLE mention of Adachi having a car OTHER THAN the same stageplay it’s being mentioned in?
A story, from somewhere around uhh four? five months ago? was something that he remembered so dearly and was willing to share despite it obviously embarrassing him even if he puts the blame on a certain somebody in the same story?
Or maybe it’s because he really had nothing to talk about ever since he realized all his stories from the city weren’t actually that funny or interesting in the first place.
BUT then that would mean out of all the things he could talk about—more whining, complaining, complimenting, small talk—he insisted about talking about this story in particular.
Okay, look. I’m just. Just. As someone who talks too much, of course I have things I actually want people to hear out of all the bullshit that comes out of my mouth. And if the thing I actually want people to listen to doesn’t even get heard, I’d go mad.
Sure, Adachi’d be fine when his complaints or intentionally unfunny jokes get brushed off. But a story of a guy that he thought was so funny, interesting, 面白い gets ignored, he really blew up, even just for a split second, maybe.
And ALL the things that happened in that story—on his first day in Inaba! His car got dented, he had to deal with a weirdo dumbass employee that knew zero personal space, yelled in his ear, who didn’t know how to do their job, got his station reputation messed up on the first day, got his ass grabbed, got (unintentionally?) mocked for his lame stories, and got his car dented for the SECOND time. Probably MORE
And he STILL wanted to talk about it /punches through concrete wall/
yes I’m overthinking about this of course i am
This little tidbit of VL Adachi kinda makes me go insane sometimes—his entire characterization in VL in particular. It was really refreshing to see and how they included both of his characters in it, his facade and how irritated he is of a lot of things underneath. And how flexible his character is immediately working with other characters when there’s sudden improv to balance the situation. Like him and Dojima, Morooka, the attendant, or even Yuuya (hero) himself.
I’ll take Taniguchi-san’s messing around in the VL bonus backstage disc in place of Masami-san being so busy he couldn’t appear in it as often as other characters.
For stagetime that lasted for fifteen minutes or less, my appreciation for VL Adachi, even if he was just comic relief, really rocketed. I say VL, bc Adachi the edgelord he’s supposed to be in literally every other media is something I analyze separately.
I haven’t even gotten to VLE oh my GODDDDD
Like I said, I don’t really regard VLE close to canon but as something to be appreciated for what it is by itself. But the way Adachi was characterized there, in or out of character, still struck me.
---
Yes, there was his strange fan-agreed-canon which is,,, now canon obsession with cabbages (not that that’s a bad thing lmao). There was also him being a lot more jumpy and intimate in a clowny way, patting people on the shoulder or even downright hugging them just to mess around. Even FORGETTING who the same goddam loser who grabbed his ass almost a year ago is. But like, can’t blame him they literally changed their actor (and screenplay writer) AHAHAHA
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
ha... no more comedy, only dorky sword fights now
(speaking of sword fights I think it’s a fun thought how Mamiya-san [Izanami, also one of the youngest in the cast] admitted it was his first time doing sword fight choreography and even thanked Masami-san and other staff members for guiding him)
One thing unintentionally in character was Adachi accidentally nabbing the sushi overdosed in wasabi. Masami-san didn’t actually account for a joke sushi and didn’t immediately eat it—until Taniguchi-san (who also made Dojima go off his shits compared to VL) jokingly yelled at him and even riled up the audience for him to eat it. He even went off stage to get water just for him to eat the goddam sushi.
And Masami-san did! (kinda choked, but he’s fine).
Continuing from the same scene, while being overly giddy about sushi dinner (and I mean overly--he was singing about it while hopping to the Dojima residence), he tried to remind the two, Dojima and Hayato (hero), that Nanako was sleeping. Probably where she was sick if the scene was translated from the game.
youtube
(30:07)
And... the dramatic parts of VLE
Adachi was the one who reported to the IT that Dojima was chasing Namatame in the rain. While Naoto was discussing Namatame’s journal entries, Adachi, as giddy as he is, took it from Naoto’s hands and reveled in the discovery of evidence so childishly(?). He even ran to Dojima when he began regaining consciousness and immediately called the nurses to help him wheel Dojima to the ER.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then, The Hospital Scene™️, right after Nanako flatlines.
youtube
(1:02:02)
Adachi, who recently walked into the scene, immediately worries about Dojima and IT who were ALL crying. He looks down, devastated—before yelling how Dojima’s heading to Namatame’s room.
He yells in terror and the same grief at his injured boss, all while running past and even jumping over children, who fell to the ground sobbing, to get to him. He continues yelling in a pained fashion while immediately reprimanding Dojima to stop. He gets carried by the collar before being tossed to the ground at Hayato’s feet, all while being pat by the same boy.
Dojima makes his speech about how unfair it is for the ‘killer’ to be alive when his daughter isn’t. When he finally falls to his knees, Adachi rises from the ground, humbly saying he’ll do his best to take care of Dojima (or something like that I’m in tears I literally can’t do VLE’s hospital scene i h8 this). He finally starts crying along with everyone else, being pushed away again but still tries again, trying to usher his boss away from the door.
With the help of the guard in front of the door, they all disappear off stage
please... I know this scene doesn’t need that much translation because of how important this scene is in the entire story. and I know my narratives aren’t enough so just,,,, just watch it please it’s so much more than this. everyone’s acting was just spectacular
youtube
(1:08:47)
So, after the IT (YOSUKE. JUST YOSUKE. good job Mae-chan) stop themselves from k wording Namatame, it was ADACHI who reported Nanako’s miracle recovery. He ran to the same corridor where they all cried in, even panting and falling to the ground in relief trying to report the good news. Then he pats Hayato on the shoulder and says he’s going to Dojima.
With this... /slaps roof of half of VLE/ ALL of this....adachi.... adachisan.... he Cares™️..... holy shit.....
now. comparing to the game. do you even remember what og Adachi did? did he.. even do anything?????
youtube
(56:39)
NO!!! he just stood there!!!! being a bumbling fool but.... inappropriately!!! man. he didn’t act concerned enough.
adachi: /walks into a bunch of kids crying outside a hospital room/ “lmao why tf are y’all crying? did uhhh what’s her face uhhh nanako. did she d word or something? rip, I guess lol” LIKE????? CAN YOU IMPLY FASTER
and then he’s like “wgat hmm Where’s Dojima-san Heading Because That’s Not The Way To His Room 🤔” and only when he’s asked he actually mentions he’s heading to Namatame’s room and still needs to get choked by a first year for the room number like..... zero consideration
and his boss??? where his daughter he loves so much just??? di*s???? and he’s so devastated he’s doing what he can that very moment while he’s so numbed of thinking of the consequences???? And adachi goes “uhh boss that’s illegal” LIKE. BITCH. /punches through a concrete wall but harder/
---
And??? His confrontation scene??? Like, I know they mashed it up w his tv confession scene to save stagetime for other scenes BUT IT WAS SO MMBMBMBMMGN /gestures in a good way/
youtube
(1:15:56)
UM?? guy behind everything??? in a vulnerable area where he could easily get physically assaulted bc hes not in the tv world w his persona?? Trash talks women like he absolute misogynist he is??? getting yelled at by a bunch of kids and YELLING BACK IN THE SAME AGITATED MANNER even TAUNTING THEM then and there to GET HIS ASS?????
og Adachi was such a pussy he got caught and just scurried off into the TV world where he ended up having powers like...ok....scared of getting beat down by a bunch of highschoolers unless you have powers...ok....
he only taunted them to get him when he was in the tv world too.....he rlly couldn’t say shit in the real world huh... lol
(yeah yeah this shows how VLE Adachi knew abt his TV world powers which would make you think if he ever went into the tv world and came back out alive. Or he’s really just a badass who doesnt give a shit abt anyone’s opinions and CAN beat anyone’s ass. i have a separate thing abt this but bc i like to laught at vle rather than overthink its own lore i might. not. idk lol)
and ??? VLE Adachi can??? He can swordfight??? he doesn’t even NEED a gun—he even reflects bullets w his blade (but apparently he can still get slapped by a flying fan more often than any other attack). His fight choreo was just...so poggers. He’s like short villains done good—like??? he’s short compared to everyone else!!! but he makes up for it for stuffing all the energy inside him while is bursts out making him him the over energetic gremlin he is!!! go VL adachi!!!!
(am I low key making fun of Madono-san in the TUUSH stageplay I’ve seen four minutes of? maybe)
OK!!! Yes I was gushing abt Masami-san again back to Adachi.
It’s portrayed that while not being afraid to admit his crimes, he also goes out of his way to be a bastard and have the gall to get a bunch of kids to fight him, one on eight. He can use a katana, probably a narrative dark reflection of the hero, Hayato which I thought was nice—and he can fight!!! It also shows his persona, yes, but...it doesn’t make it clear if he’s overwhelmed by his Shadow like in the game, where his eyes were yellow and he was emitting a dark aura.
But it gets interesting how he sees he’s getting overwhelmed and starting to lose his edge towards a bunch of kids. He falls to the ground even banging the floor like a whiny brat while literally the IT tries to tell him to turn himself in. Again, like a brat he tells everyone to shut up—before getting incapacitated. While some of the IT rejoice, he bolts up unaccepting of his defeat—before getting hit in the stomach.
youtube
(1:23:54)
And his words from when he drops his katana, “Why..?” He grabs the foldable chair against his stomach, and with a remorseful look in his eyes, he says “I’m sorry..!”
THEN HE BACKFLIPS—then Hayato slashes him.
In a tone of disbelief, he goes “no way...” and collapses to the ground, being possessed by Ame-no-Sagiri.
Blah blah blah then Teddie rockets himself into the eyeball spy cam and then they both explode aaaaa
Teddie survives but I really don’t know where Adachi went. Not even a mention by Dojima if he turned himself in or was ever found—or I need to review VLE for the 48274827482nd time hehe
WHOO then the whole cast appears for the dance number at the end of show YAHOO

@kissahten
Daisuke was feeling uncharacteristically nervous as he waited on Haru’s arrival, having to shove his hands into his pockets to keep from fidgeting while he tried his hardest to ignore the sweat building on his palms. He’d lacked the experience many had when they were younger getting nervous around a crush and it seemed the universe was set on giving it to him now as a grown adult in his first real relationship with a man he’d go to the ends of the Earth and beyond for just to see him smile.
He’d agonized over this plan for weeks, putting together an elaborate set of clues for Haru to follow that would all end up eventually leading him to where Daisuke waited now at a privately booked rooftop bar decked out with fresh flowers and twinkling lights and candles around a single table set for two where they’d share a five course meal specially made by a private chef flown in from Europe just for this purpose. Extravagant enough to suit Daisuke’s tastes but also understated enough ( by his own standards ) he felt Haru could enjoy it without fussing in his usual manner- hopefully.
It was after what felt like an eternity of pacing and needlessly adjusting his tux to make sure it was perfectly pristine that Haru would finally arrive through the ornate door into their venue and those buzzing nerves and chaotic thoughts would finally start to settle, soothed by the presence of the one man on the planet that left Daisuke feeling wholly at ease. From there it was a lot easier to slip into his usual demeanor, wanting to impress and make a grand statement that Haru would never forget as he plucked a rose from the table and casually strutted over to offer it to his partner.
“I’m not sure what you expected- if you expected anything- when locally this holiday is far simpler, but I am not simple and I believe you deserve far more than a box of chocolates even if I did have a lovely one imported from Switzerland.” He began, gently tugging at Haru’s free hand to bring him toward their table, but stopping short to lift that very same hand to his mouth to place a light kiss over Haru’s knuckles.
“There is so much in this world I would want to give you but I hope the sincerity of my feelings will suffice in light of how you get an awful wrinkle in your brow any time I spend too much money on you. Happy Valentine’s Day.”

Across the World Part 2 (Dr. Xeno dad! x Reader) Dr. Stone fanfic | A mini-series
In which you found out you were pregnant pre-petrification to your long time boyfriend NASA scientist, Xeno. However, when you told him the news, he wanted nothing to do with it because his top priority is his research. Hurt, you decided to find refuge and start anew in the country you have always wanted to live in, Japan. Post-petrification and Senku announced they'll be traveling to America. As you have lived there before, they took you and your one-year-old daughter along. Now, thousands of years later, you'll find yourself face to face with the man who had hurt you the most across the world.
Part 1
Part 3
Xeno can never forget the first time he saw you- not that he ever wants to. He was late for a convention and the traffic isn't helping either. To his folly, he decided to reach the venue by walking. He is well aware that his body is not in its perfect condition and the sun's heat will make him eventually pass out.
And he did. That was not his proudest moment. He knows he can just call the program director and cover him for a while. But his intuition told him to go out. His intuitions are never wrong.
That's when he met you- him passed out and you- a nurse passing by. You immediately called for an ambulance and assessed your then patient. He's having a fever and you guessed that the heat precipitated his condition.
In the middle of your assessments, he briefly regained consciousness. He was sure then that he saw an angel.
Well, that angel turned out to be the nurse in charge of him. He was way too overjoyed but you on the other hand are pissed. His obvious flirting gets on your nerves and won't let you work in peace.
But as days go by, you are slowly getting used to his antics. It even saddened you when he is discharged. You thought you will never see him again.
Oh, how wrong you were. Because every day, he passes by the hospital to greet and bring you food. Efforts like this make a woman's heart melt.
And so, after five months of getting to know each other, the two of you officially became a couple. It was the happiest day of Xeno's life.
9 months into your relationship, you both decided to move in together. There, you learned a lot about each other- all the good and the bad. Your relationship was not perfect. You sometimes fight but neither of you let the day end without making up. After all, makeup sex is the best.
So when did everything changed? Xeno knows the truth, of course. He was stressed and overworked. Multiple projects have been forced on him and the pressure is starting to grip on him like vines.
It was not right to dump all his frustrations at you but he can't help it. There are nights when he can't go home as he is still completing his formulas. Add to that, he feels everything is irritating.
So when, one day. When you told him the big news, he was just being honest. A baby? In the middle of all of this? He doesn't want it.
At first, that is.
He finds himself not concentrating at his work because he's distracted. A vision of you, him and your child would often pop in his mind. And to be honest, he loves it the more he thinks about it.
He suddenly became energized. He miraculously finished everything he needed to be done that day. There's a kick to his steps as he bounded with a hum along the way. His co-workers are a bit startled by the change in his attitude. Not a long while, he was snapping at everyone. But now, he even smiles and wishes them a nice weekend.
He even went to a flower shop to buy your favorite flowers. He ordered your favorite food in your favorite restaurant. He knows he had hurt you and he will surely make it up to you. He will tell you that he's with you and he can't wait to be a father.
But, he never did. The moment he stepped inside your shared apartment, he dropped those precious flowers. He instantly knew.
You are gone, taking along with you the visions of his future.
Xeno did not waste any time. He called his detective friend, Daisuke. And in a matter of seconds, he found out you are headed to Japan. Relief washed over him as he now knows you're safe. He will finish his works then he will come after you.
And again, he never did. There is a lot of troubleshooting that needs to be done because his assistants messed up a lot. Not only that, the government assigned him to study the stone phenomenon in sparrows.
When he arrived at a hypothesis, he gathered all the national leaders. He would get this done and over with so he can board on a plane and be with you when the petrification starts.
But it seems that luck is never on his side. The bright light appeared sooner than he thought. And right there and then, in the meeting with the leaders, he turned to stone.
He keeps his mind busy. Counting each second, days, weeks, months, and years. He would reminisce about your moments together. Sometimes, daydream about your family.
After one thousand years later, he knew that the world will never be the same again if mankind would be revived.
Two thousand years in, he starts strategizing what to do for him to start again if he breaks out of this stone.
Three thousand years later, he wills himself to wake up in the springtime so he can gather food and have the best rate of survival.
Finally, 3,700 years later, he is depetrified. He didn't waste time gathering resources for him to survive.
The universe might have pitied him from all the wrong timings he had in his life that they gifted him the precious power of platinum. With that, he was able to build his kingdom of science.
Now that he can create weapons, boats, and airplanes, he is ready to sail across the world to find you. He will not leave any stone unturned. Heck, he'll even dig the whole of Japan just to find you. Hopefully, he can also find his child.
He's sure that his child would be over a year old by the time the world has been petrified. He can't wait to be finally reunited with you. He will do what it takes to make it up to you even if it's thousands of years too late. He loves you and the child he never met more than anything.
And again, luck has never been on his side because Senku's troops stopped him from setting sail that day. He can't leave his Kingdom in this state. After all, this is where his family will live someday. He has to protect this home first.
But alas, the universe is a conniving bastard. He didn't expect to meet you, 3,700 years later in a yacht and in Senku's team.
He has been speechless the moment he gazed on the white-haired little girl in your arms.
It was a little girl, huh? His... daughter.
He felt tears prick his eyes upon seeing the child that is a result of your love for each other.
"I guess you never want me."
It hurts every single cell in his body upon hearing his daughter say that. He was left standing there, seeing his family leave again. For so many years, he had practiced what to say and do the moment he'll find you. But, all words had left him
He was about to follow you but his mentee stopped him.
"Leave them for a while. Xenka-chan's an intelligent girl but she's still a child. Let her be comforted by her mother," Senku advised his mentor.
Xeno sighed and knew that the boy is right. He might make the situation worse than it already is. He plopped right back on the sofa he's sitting on a while ago.
"Xenka, huh," he muttered.
"I know right? It seems that Y/N-san does really love you. She named her child after you," Senku grinned at him.
"Our child," he corrected the young scientist.
"Kukuku. Do you want information about them? I can give it to you plus, I'll help you win them over," of course, Senku has his villain face on while saying that.
Xeno knows that there's no helping it. After all, his and Senku's objective is the same- kind of. He will set aside everything just to find his way back into his family. Now that they're here, he will work his ass for you and Xenka's forgiveness.
"What's your condition?" he finally asked and Senku looked like he won the jackpot.
"Ah, do you know that she's just one and a half years old but she correctly guessed the formula and ingredients to the revival fluid just by sniffing them. She even deduced its function. Man, your child is seriously a genius," Senku goes on and on.
On the other hand, Xeno has integrated everything his mentee told him. It appears that Xenka has taught herself language from her memories with her mother. Then, she went to learn all kinds of sciences from the books she happened to scan as a yet clueless baby.
His baby girl has kept her mind active for thousands of years that it didn't surprise him to know that she has depetrified herself first.
According to Senku, his daughter has been his little assistant. Supplying him with what she's learned over the years.
"To be honest, she's almost on my level and she's just almost two. Wait until she grows up a bit and I'm sure she'll be living in the lab. It irritates her how small her body is to do anything," the two men chuckled.
"Oh, I bet once she can grasp the flasks and beakers well, she's on to her experiments. She's surely my daughter," Xeno said with a smile on his face. He could never be more than proud.
"The only problem is how to approach them," he muttered, feeling down once again.
"Don't sweat the little details that much. Xenka will surely gravitate to your intelligence and you'll have her talking to you in no time. Now, it is Y/N that you should be thinking about," Senku rose from his seat, looking at the other scientist in his room. An evil grin forming on his sinful lips.
"Chrome, go get Xenka,"
The little squirt has a frown on her face after finding herself tied to a chair. She was dragged away from her mother after her afternoon nap and she doesn't want to spend it with the man who had abandoned them.
"Listen here, Xenka-chan. I've strucked a deal with your father so you have to listen to him," Senku said patting the girl's head.
She looked the other way and pouted, "how can you sell me like that, oniisan?"
Senku chuckled at this, "it's not like you know everything, now don't you? But don't worry we didn't plan to force you to listen to him,"
Xenka rolled her eyes, "I'm tied to a chair. If this isn't using force then I don't what is," she deadpanned.
Xeno can't help but smile. Surely enough, his daughter inherited his intelligence but also her mother's stubbornness.
"Oh, you'll want to talk to him after this," Senku mischievously grinned at his 'little sister'. He knows exactly how to get the interest of this child.
"Oi, my dear mentor, are you ready to calculate and pinpoint where exactly the petrification beam started?"
That piqued the interest of the little girl.
After two hours of theorizing and calculating, the two had determined the exact location of what they're looking for. The two scientists stared at each other in silence before grinning and high fived each other.
In the small corner of the room, Xenka has her eyes widened, sparkling bright stars littered in her black depths.
"That- that was. I never heard anything like it," she breathed still in a daze after witnessing a thorough and scientific conversation like that. It made her heart beat fast and her curiosity about her father broadens.
"How is it Xenka?" Xeno courageously asked his child. Noting that this is the first time he's ever interacting with her.
Xenka hesitates. She doesn't want to talk to him because before he had hurt her, he hurt her precious mama first. However, her oniisan said that she doesn't know the entirety of the story. With her trust in her oniisan, she decided to give her father the benefit of the doubt.
The little girl looked to the side with a frown and a pout, "I guess you're not that b-bad," she says, a small blush already taking her cheeks.
This filled Xeno's heart with warmth and hope. He feels giddy and wants to empress her daughter more.
"Do you want to discuss aerodynamics with me?" Xeno asked.
The girl's head immediately snapped to his, eyes bright like a sparkling diamond, "let's start with Newton's third law of motion,"
The afternoon dragged on with the father and daughter droning on and on about rocket science.
It was already dinner time and you had not seen even the shadow of Xenka. She was dragged earlier by Chrome to see Senku and you knew that it has something to do with her father.
You sighed, you know your daughter well. If Xeno runs his mouth about anything related to Science then your daughter is done for. She's a sucker for intelligent people and there's no way she'll pass up the opportunity of talking to her dad.
Your thoughts are interrupted when you heard little giggles coming your way. There, in the hallway, you are faced with Xeno holding your daughter in his arms. Just like what you had imagined for a long time. It pains you and yet it flutters happiness in your heart. This is like a dream.
"Mama!"
Xeno's eyes snapped on you when he heard his daughter call you. You, on the other hand, felt overly conscious under his scrutinizing gaze. He noted how you have become even more beautiful since the last time he had seen you.
"Xenka, dinner's ready. You have to eat. Come here to mama," you coaxed your child, wanting to go away far from the man.
"No, mama! I want to be with papa! There's still a lot of stories I want to hear." You sighed. She already calls him papa, huh? That was quick.
"Mama, it's alright now. Papa explained to me already. He said he didn't want me at first but he changed his mind. He even went and bought you flowers and your favorite food so he can ask for your forgiveness and makeup with you that day. But mama, you had already left," you are taken aback by what your daughter stated.
You don't know what to feel or say.
"Well, he can just message me or approach me. Why didn't he?" You spat, feeling the bitterness rise again.
Your daughter scoffed at you, "mama, papa has like twenty projects at that time. As a scientist, I can understand why he has not contacted you though it kinda hurts but still. I know that he loves us and wants to be with us, mama," your daughter asked her father to be put down.
She went to you and hugged your knee, "Mama, I know we can't change what happened and I'm not invalidating how you feel. But, we have been through so much and even then, the three of us woke up in the same era and we even reunited. Aren't our family lucky to have found each other? Please think about it, mama. I know you have forgiven him a long time ago and you still love him," you are amazed at how you're precious daughter had spoken as if she's already older than you. Well, truly she is way too mature for her age of one year.
Xeno, on the other hand, can't believe how his daughter can sprout out those words. He feels so proud and yet at the same time he had hoped he had seen his little girl when she was still a blubbering mess. But, well, this is who Xenka is now, and he won, 't have it any other way.
"I'll leave the two of you alone to talk, mama and papa," the girl said after tapping gently her mother's leg. She then went on her way to Francois but then, she turned back to her dumbstruck parents.
"Oh, and I want a little brother," she said before skipping away.
That left the two a blushing mess. Gosh, can their daughter not? But even then, Xeno knows this is his chance to redeem himself.
"Y/N," he muttered. You notice how good your name rolls in his tongue.
"Was it true? Everything she said?" You asked. Clenching your hands from nervousness.
"It is. I'm sorry y/n. The last words I told you had tortured me for thousands of years. I had hurt you truly and that hurt me badly too. Not having you beside me is like living in hell. I'm sorry it took me a few hours to accept our child. And within those hours, it had cost you and our child," his voice broke down in the end as tears started to fall down his face.
It is a shock to you. Never, you had never seen him cry. You had never seen him this weak and lonely. You realized that you are not the only one who has been affected by the separation as you watched the broken man presenting you his crumbled pieces.
Your heart clenched. Was your love too shallow to have not trusted him back then? Had you just let him cool off for a bit, he had gone home to a warm apartment. You understood that he was pressured too much at that time and you left blinded by the hurt.
Looking back now, you realized you just wanted to get his attention. So you left, in hopes, he'll come running after you. But he never did, and it made you resent him more. You didn't even think for a second how he may have felt. He was tied down by his projects and you knew that if only he was free, he'll come running to you. Humanity relied on his projects and a single error can cost lots of lives. You knew this but still, you only trusted your selfishness.
"Xeno, I-" you can't take it anymore. You cried your heart out and he immediately embraced you.
"I'm sorry, Xeno. I'm sorry. I have been selfish and truly I am sorry," you added between sobs.
You felt Xeno shake his head, "it's understandable y/n. I was also wrong. It's okay now," he continues to console you, rubbing your back.
"Well, I know a lot has changed but why don't we start over again, yeah?" He whispers.
You pulled away from him to look him in the eyes, "how?"
He thought for a few seconds before grinning, the one that has always make your heart leap.
"I own this yacht and there's a little room downstairs. Maybe we can start with our daughter's request," he proposed naughtily.
You only smacked him in the head which made him chuckle.
"Oh my god Xeno, that's horrible! Where?" This time, it is you who had a smirk in the face. Xeno did not expect you to play along but this fired him up.
"Let's have twins this time," he said before pulling you somewhere.
In the distance, the crew of eavesdroppers finally sighed as they watched the reunited couple leave.
"That was quick," Ryusui commented.
"They're not teenagers anymore, you know," Senku replied and carried a smiling Xenka.
"They had like thousands of years to think over what happened so why wait now? It's so obvious they love each other, it makes me want to barf," the little girl muttered.
"Kukuku. I bet you are the happiest of all Xenka-chan," the leek-y scientist grinned.
"Your right, oniisan. My family is now complete and we may have another member in a few months," she said exuding the happiness she truly felt inside her heart.
"Alright, everyone, the food is already done!"
With that, the crew followed Francois never minding the distant moans and groans coming from below.

I want your input on how you guys think the P4 cast’s futures would shake out! I have a general idea of where I want things to go, but I think having input from everyone is important too. Any characters that I’ve left off (Kanji, the Dojimas, Yukiko, etc) already have pretty solid arcs planned, so don’t worry, I didn’t forget them.
There are a bunch of numbered questions to make it easier to respond to, I’d be happy even if you guys took the time just answering one or two! Thanks for your interest, and hopefully you guys find this an interesting read at the very least lol.
(I’ve grouped all of the questions at the end in case you want to see them all together.)
General Info:
The game is planned to take place in 2015, so everything will take place 3 years after Arena/P4DAN/Golden Epilogue.
Because it’s centered around Inaba, it will only focus on characters still in the town (so Rise, Chie and Naoto will not be playing large roles in the game).
Yosuke:
I’ve mentioned already where I see Yosuke in 2015 (directionless, just finishing college but still working at Junes) but I’ve also been tossing around a few ideas for future careers that I think would work for him. I think him being a mechanic or just generally handy with fixing things would be a good avenue to explore, not just because of his interest in motorcycles, but also because I think it would compliment his arc nicely; for someone who’s so afraid of screwing everything up, I think it would be good for Yosuke to realize that he’s really good at fixing things. it’s not too out of nowhere (he’s a broke college student, I’m sure he’s had to fix a leaky faucet in his apartment or something, and he must have tuned up and fixed his bike after he crashed it), and could be a thing he realizes (with Yu’s help ofc) over the course of his route that he just... never thought of as a legitimate skill before.
I’ve also thought about him joining the Shadow Operatives (Mitsuru’s team of shadow fighting elites, comprised mostly of former SEES members), which is usually my go-to when thinking about what his potential career could be, but in a lot of ways it feels like somewhat of a copout. On top of it glazing over Yosuke’s critical lack of personal identity, it also feeds into the idea that he isn’t anything special without his persona, which doesn’t exactly do much for character growth. I think it’s the most obvious and canon-compliant choice, and one that he would both enjoy and be good at, I worry about what it would mean for his character. Of course, Mitsuru recognizes his skills and would likely take him on no problem, and while I love the idea of Yosuke joining them and living a life full of excitement and badassery, I don’t think he needs to do much soul-searching to arrive at this decision.
So...
#1: What jobs and/or hobbies do you see Yosuke doing that utilizes his skills (either preexisting or ones you believe he could easily develop)? Thoughts on what I’ve said regarding his potential career?
Yu:
Yu has been giving me some pretty big headaches when trying to plot this game. Obviously, as the protagonist, giving him something interesting to do that also ties into the plot is important; which is why I’m leaning so heavily toward him working for the Inaba PD. It would fit with why he chooses to return to Inaba permanently, and would be plausible within the time period, along with obvious connections (Dojima) that could secure him a position within the force. My concern is that the game then becomes either too serious, or too heavily based around Yu as opposed to the rest of the cast. I definitely don’t want it to turn into yet another Inaba mystery, and choosing another profession for Yu would likely keep things a lot more lighthearted (if Yu’s working as an elementary teacher for example, the biggest problems he’s going to face are like, the stubborn kid in his class that won’t stop shoving pencils up his nose, maybe an angry parent, nothing TOO serious that requires a complex solution) and leave more time to focus on whichever route you choose.
HOWEVER, this job also would allow for easy cameos from outside characters (Naoto, Chie, Akihiko and the other Shadow Operatives) all of whom work closely with, or directly for the police. I just worry about it taking over and pulling the focus away from other characters. I don’t want it to be Detective Simulator: Persona 4 Edition, which is why I’ve also been throwing around other alternatives for Yu’s career (the obvious ones being teacher/daycare, and veterinarian) but it needs to be a job easily securable within the 3 year timeframe and a reason for him to move back to Inaba. If he’s still enrolled in college with the promise of a job at the end of it, there would be no reason for him to move and have to commute.
#2: Would you prefer Yu’s job be something more in the background rather than one of the major driving forces of the plot?
#3: Would you prefer Yu’s role be more of a player insert protagonist?
#4: Arena-style internal narration (first person, hearing Yu’s thoughts), or stick to P4′s approach (second person, slightly more objective)?
#5: Any suggestions for what you think would suit Yu as a career?
Naoki:
I’m completely fine having Naoki’s job staying as him just working at (and eventually inheriting) Konishi Liquors, but I think there’s still plenty to explore for his character outside of that. Because his SL focuses on Naoki grieving and Yu leaning not to treat him any differently, it doesn’t account for the rest of Inaba and how they treat Naoki. Small town reputations stick, and even if he’s managed to move past Saki’s death to an extent, everyone still knows him as the other Konishi kid, and I think he would really struggle to deal with that reputation. Even if he’s learned to open up to Yu, Yosuke, and a few of his school friends by the end of his SL, I can see him becoming incredibly jaded and growing tired of Inaba because he can’t manage to escape the public’s pity. I’ve thought about him turning to dangerous, risk-taking behavior and escapism as a result of this, but it’s pretty hard to change an entire town’s opinion of you and your family, and I don’t see where it could go from here other than him essentially running away from it all and giving up.
#6: Any ideas for Naoki’s route or character in general?
#7: Would you be interested in dating him, or would you prefer it either be platonic, or for him to be kept as a supporting cast member?
#8: Are you okay with heavy topics like (underage) alcoholism, or do you believe it would be better to avoid a plot like this?
Daisuke & Kou:
I’m honestly hesitant to include these two in the game at all, as I find it a little hard to believe that they’d stay in Inaba for that long.
#9: Any ideas for potential jobs that would keep them in Inaba?
#10: Would you prefer each of them to have separate routes, or have them grouped together?
#11: Would you be interested in dating them together, separately, or for them to have their route(s) kept platonic and for them be in a relationship with each other?
#12: Any general ideas for their route(s)?
Dates:
Since I have no set time frame for the game, I’m open to including all kinds of seasonal dates, festivals, and events (like Valentines or New Years, for example) and I’ll decide on a time of year based on that.
Aside from shared events between all routes, though, I’d love suggestions for some cute character-specific dates (eg. Yu takes Yosuke to a concert, Kanji and Yu go shopping for yarn, something like that). Please go ahead and be as random and specific as you want, it doesn’t have to be a massive event.
#13: Any general date ideas?
#14: Any character-specific date ideas?
Full question list under the cut:

;Daiharu au 💴🌸💎
Summary : Haru Kato overworked himself as usual and Daisuke is trying to take care of him.
Note : yeh! first tumblr fic, let's get it ✨😗✌️
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Haru sometimes hated his job.
Or rather he hated his strong sense of justice, which made him constantly push his boundaries to do what was right. Most of the first division members usually shied out when he asked them for help, and no way in the world he could go to Daisuke Kambe for the same.
Everyone tells him to lay off multiple times but he doesn't needs them to take care of him, damn it.
. . . . 💴🌸💎
Haru fell back in his chair, making the rusty old thing creek in protest. Everyone turned around to witness his loud and grumpy arrival, probably testing the waters before making a move. He paid them little to no attention, knowing he'll lash out otherwise.
The board gave him a hard time, the first division gave him a hard time, Daisuke blew him off like nothing and then Cho-san yelled at him --- Haru straight up wasn't having the best day. Now the last thing he needed was more people pestering him.
Luck, however, wasn't on his side.
The phone on his table starting ringing the moment Haru got comfortable in his chair, the loud sound made the headache double up a few notches. Haru tsked and picked up the receiver, putting it against his ear.
“yes?”
“Oh my god!” the lady at the other end screamed. “Pleass hurry there has been a robbery at my store, everything is wrecked.”
Haru tried to hide his sigh. “Please stay calm and tell me your address. Don't be alone in the house, as it might be dangerous and don't touch anything until help arrives.”
The lady hurried up with details as much as she could while simultaneously sobbing into the speaker, somewhere in the distance was a dog barking at her. Haru kept down the receiver and turned to Kamie, holding up the slip of paper with the address on it.
“There has been a robbery, can you go and see to it?” Haru asked, waiting patiently as the other completed typing on his computer. Kamie looked up with a guilt ridden smile, rubbing the back of his neck as he fumbled for an answer.
“You see, I've been dead tired after all the cardio you put me through---”
“Nevermind.” Haru cut in,“I'll take care of it myself.”
Haru stood up rather fast, making his head go blank for a solid second. He managed to hold himself up just before he could fall forward, the sudden movement causing the table to shake with impact and catch everyone's attention.
“Are you okay?” Mahoro asked, her hand stopped midway with a candy between her fingers. The pink haired officer gave him a worried look. “Would you liked this limited addition candy?”
“I'll pass.” Haru waved his hand and went out of the office lounge, momentarily leaned against the wall to regain his left over energy --- only god knew how worse the robbery was going to be, he needed to get every bit of patience and energy to deal with it.
Once sure that he wasn't going to collapse, Haru shrugged on his jacket and went to the crime scene.
. . . . 💴🌸💎
“Ah Kambe-san.” Kamie called out as Daisuke entered the room, the millionaire gave him a nod and went over to his desk. The inspector pulled Daisuke down to talk quietly into his ear.
“Is there a problem?” Daisuke asked, his voice even like it always have been. Kamie felt himself shiver at the calculated coldness in his eyes, he has to shake his head to get back on his tongue.
“Did something happen with Haru and you?”
Daisuke stared at him for a long moment, eyebrows lightly scrunched in concentration. Then he simply shook his head in denial, making Kamie sigh in confusion. He was well aware of Haru's habits of pushing himself too far, but there was no way you could stop him from doing so.
“Could you please go and check on him then?” Kamie asked with a requested smile, pressing his hands in a prayer position and ducked his head. “I'm afraid he might pass out or something.”
“Okay.” Daisuke said and straightened up, fixing his suit as he exited the lounge for second time this day. “HEUSC track Haru Kato's location.”
“The location has been found.”
Daisuke got in his car and glanced over to the screen, a map displayed in front of him with a green dot blinking inside a cafe. He got the car in ignition and put it on the road the moment it's engine roared.
. . . . 💴🌸💎
“Ehhh . . . what do you mean it wasn't a robbery?”
The woman in front of him laughed in embarrassment, a blush spread across her pale cheeks. Beside her, in a vile grip was a child yelling at her to let go, probably the culprit of the robbery. She bowed to Haru while winding up apologies, forcing the kid down with a hand pressed on his head.
“S-Sorry inspector, my son and his friends created a ruckus before I opened the cafe. I panicked and thought it was a robbery.”
“Are you sure everyone in safe here?” Haru asked; Except for the kid obviously, he thought but knew better than to voice it, his mouthy self already got him in trouble multiple times, he didn't want anything more.
“Yes inspector, our apologies for the inconvenience.” She said again and forced the son to say sorry as well, which Haru just accepted with a laugh. He then nodded to the lady and made his way out of the cafe, yawning as he started walking back to the office, his body however was screaming for him to rest.
Haru stopped as a sleek black car pulled up next to him, a colour and design he was all to familiar with now. The door opened with a smooth motion, inside seated was Daisuke with his usual bored expression, the one that seriously ticked him off.
“Oi Kambe, what are you doing here?”
“I was told to pick you up.” He replied monotonously,“Please get in the car before the traffic rolls up.”
Haru didn't want to be anywhere near Daisuke right now but he found himself rushing over inside the car and sighing once he was able to shut himself in the silent atmosphere. He may not admit out loud but Daisuke's car was more comfortable than his bed --- soft seats, warmth and his rich perfume. Haru instantly felt like he was going to fall asleep, and that would have been embarrassing.
“So what makes you come here?” he decided to ask instead.
“I was told to pick you up.”
“And you agreed?”
“Yes.” Haru didn't expect him to say anything more to so he just let it drop, but Daisuke cleared his throat and continued. “And I owed you an apology.”
Haru was in no mood for having that conversation so he just shrugged it off and let his eyes stay fixed outside the window, looking at nothing in particular. Daisuke waited for an answer before he decided better than to question him further.
“Are you tired?” Daisuke asked as he killed the engine and Haru shook his head, hurrying out of the car before he could seriously fall asleep. He shut the door to cut off any further complaints, making his way back to the office and hopefully avoiding Daisuke any further. Thankfully, the conversation never came up again, not until the shutting time atleast.
. . . . 💴🌸💎
“Haru are you sure you're staying back?”
“Yeah I need to write the report for today.”
“Okayy, bye!” everyone cheered as the hurried out of the office, glad that the day was finally over. Haru watched them leave, wincing when the door shut loudly after the departing crowd.
He let his head fall on the table and groaned. The cursor blink on the empty sheet of the word document, waiting to be worked on; problem was Haru's lack of motivation, he couldn't even lay it off with the board monitoring him and finding all the ways to pick more mistakes on him. It would he easier on their pockets if they could cut more of pay --- and with the deadline for his rent, a pay cut was the last thing he needed right now.
So with the last bit of energy left in him, Haru rolled his sleeved his sleeves up and got to work.
. . . . 💴🌸💎
Daisuke stared at the empty cup holder and realized that he left his wallet in the office, he killed the engine and got off the car. The last bit of left workers nodded as they moved past him, rushing out to go back home. He wasn't half surprised to find Haru bend over his computer and typing sluggishly, his eye bags reached on the floor and casted a dark edge to his golden eyes.
“Kamie? . . . no Kambe." He mumbled his words,"What are you doing here?"
“I left my wallet.”
Haru nodded and went back to typing, taking a sip out of coffee which was most likely cold by now. As Daisuke crossed him, he could see Haru shivering in his seat and having trouble to get a better grip of his coffee. He watched him struggle.
“You need to rest.” Daisuke said.
“As if the guy who threw up off the bridge would care.” Haru replied and then his words turned quiet. “Nobody cares.”
“huh?”
Haru send him a simple shrug and got to work again, mumbling as he typed, backspacing more and actually writing something. Daisuke then turned his head and spoke into the ear piece.
“HEUSC type the report for the incident today.”
“Command in processor. Estimate completion time in 10 minutes.”
“Let's go--- Haru!” Daisuke grabbed him just in time, saving him from hitting his head on the table edge. Haru groaned and fell against Daisuke's torso, eyes barely open and sweat pooled over his eyebrows; despite the obvious temperature rise, he was shivering. “Come with me.”
“I'm fine!” he said, words mingled into each other. “Just a little bit---”
“You just passed out.” Daisuke removed his glove and pressed his hand against Haru's forehead, feeling it burning under his cool skin. Haru straightened himself up, pressing a firm hand against Daisuke's torso too keep him at the arm length.
“I said I'm fine.” he said,“If I don't complete this by today, they'll probably fire me. Unlike you some people are limited on their resources Kambe.”
“I told HEUSC to do it for you.” He replied,“For now just come with me.”
“Why? Give me a reason.”
“To apologize.” He said without missing a beat .
“What for?”
“For everything.” Daisuke said.
Haru could only stare. He wanted to say no and deal with himself, since Daisuke also did the same. The last thing he wanted was to become a burden on someone who refused his help.
He was a burden.
Denial almost went past his mouth but stopped when Daisuke reached out and grabbed his hand, his fingers cold against Haru's wrist. The millionaire's face was stoic as ever but his words were soft.
“Haru . . come with me.”
Seemed like he wasn't getting anywhere with denial tonight.

Tumblr media
~o0o~
After a successful photoshoot the MCPTF duo took for a detective magazine, Haru bashfuly thanked the camera crew for their work and started to gather his belongings. After a couple of seconds he didn't see Daisuke moving much from his spot at the studio backdrop so he decided to check on him.
Daisuke was still standing there, petting a beautiful cat on his shoulders. He was smiling for the first time in a long time and Haru couldn't help himself but to tease him a little.
"You have a soft spot for kittens, huh Kambe?" "Huh?" "You love animals don't you?" "Don't get the wrong idea. Just because I helped that little boy with a dog back the-" "I get it, no need to get so self-defensive." Haru approached the two and pet the cat as well. Daisuke continued "We had a family cat back in the days but she died from a kidney failure." "I'm sorry to hear that." "Pedigree cats are always difficult to maintain."
He then approached the studio producer and asked "What's the name?" while pointing at the purring ball of fluff. "Oh the name's Kumo-" "No, I meant the name of the breed." "It's a Maine Coon my good sir."
Daisuke took his phone, dialed a number and a lovely lady could be heard on the opposite line "Yes, Daisuke-sama?" "Suzue, do we have all the predispositions that satisfy the adoption of a cat?" "I mean yes but we can't charge a butler to take responsibility for everything. Consider chipping, regular visits to the vet, special shampoos, nail clippers, toothbrushes, specialized treats, eye drops, litter box, toys, climbing frames, there are many factors which need to be taken care of Daisuke-sama. Besides, it's been such a long tim-" "Alright"
Daisuke ended the phone call with a dissatisfied sigh before asking quietly "How much?" to which Haru needed to interfere. "Didn't Suzue-san just tell you not to take a cat home?" and Daisuke gave him an annoyed side-glance "I'll figure something out."
When he arrived to the mansion in his Bentley Continental GT, he glanced at the backseat to address the feline comfortably lying in the fancy pet carrier. "You better not make a sound, understood?" to which the cat just purred in satisfaction. Daisuke felt so silly at this moment, like a little boy hiding a broken vase from his mother.
When he was about to enter the mansion, he accidentally walked on Suzue typing something on her tablet. She looked up and was delighted to see Daisuke coming home safe and sound. Daisuke stood at the doors, one side of his body peering from the corner while the other with a cat was hidden behind the wall. "Welcome back Daisuke-sama, the crack-open naengmyeon is already served on the table, you can take your seat." "Actually, I was planning on doing something else beforehand. Would you please excuse me for a moment?" "Of course." Suzue turned around and waited for him in the dining room. And although Daisuke was very good at keeping his serious demeanor, Suzue still noticed that something was off, with the tone of his voice for instance. It was very faint but Suzue was able to recognize things like this since she knew him so well. Still, she decided not to question him about it.
Daisuke entered his room and laid the pet carrier on the floor. Opening the zipper, the cat jumped out and rolled cozily on his bed. Daisuke held his phone and took a picture. He decided that he couldn't leave it by itself so he went downstairs to the storeroom where he took a litter box and filled it with old newspapers just in case.
After that he joined Suzue for lunch, they talked about Daisuke's photoshoot and Suzue's data she collected on certain people regarding a case. Daisuke told her that the magazine will be published in three weeks or so and Suzue was so happy she promised that she'll be the first costumer to buy it. Daisuke smiled more around Suzue after he let go of his past and threw his father into the jail. Now that all the bad things are behind him, he can finally indulge in his life and pay more attention to Suzue to whom he has yet to make up for all she has done for him over the years. He's thinking about marrying her soon.
While they were eating and pleasantly chatting, a high pitched "mrow" could be heard from the upper floor.
"What was that?" Daisuke let out a dry cough and said "My apologies. It seems that I needed to take a thicker coat before leaving for an appointment." "But.. you always pay attention to things like this." "It's true, but today I was a little late, had other things to do." "Don't overwork yourself, you need to think about your health." "Seems like you need to take better care of me.", he said with a smirk plastered on his lips to which Suzue just laughed and replied "You're so spoiled." and he scooted closer to her whispering "But I like it better when you do it.", and almost kissed her before the two heard a soft thud coming from the above.
"Excuse me for a moment, I need to check what's happening up there. Will be right back.", maybe the moment was ruined but he kissed her forehead nonetheless and went upstairs, leaving her full-hearted and all mushy inside. Her mind was so hazed from the thought of Daisuke kissing her forehead and almost kissing her lips that she didn't register the cause of his concern.
When he arrived to his room he had things to behold; scattered papers and documents all over the floor and the ashtray he typically used after his "adventurous nights with Suzue" was lying on the ground right next to the nightstand. The cat was sitting on his working table licking her paw as if nothing of this concerned her in the slightest. Daisuke sighed in disappointment and put her back in her "baby jail". She already gave him such a hard time but he couldn't be angry with her, she was his baby (yes he already considered himself a dad for god's sake).
Since they already finished with their meals, Suzue went back to her tech room to finish her work and Daisuke took the opportunity to place some meat and water on small plates and bring it to his naughty little friend.
The cat calmed down instantly after she ate and went straight to sleep. Daisuke couldn't believe his own eyes, the audacity, the sheer amount of spoilage this creature showed was unreal. It reminded him so much of himself and he smiled a little. He really missed having a cat.
After he cleaned up and finished his other tasks, he laid on the bed next to her and pet her soft white fur, making her purr louder and snuggle up beside him. Daisuke knows that Suzue is not stupid and that she'll eventually catch up on him sneaking behind her back to give Furry Elise treats (yes her name is Furry Elise, "Für Elise" might be one of Beethoven’s best-known piano pieces and Daisuke knows how to play it too).
And it actually happened that same night. Daisuke was about to fill her small plate with more meat when he met Suzue in the kitchen and she asked him what he was doing. He instantly gave up because it would be so blatantly obvious and incredibly stupid of him to say that he was trying out a new weight-losing tip when no one in this god-forsaken world ate raw chicken.
So he took her to his room and showed her Furry Elise. And although the cat purred really loudly upon seeing them, Suzue wasn't happy about it. In fact, she looked really disappointed and Daisuke needed to apologize. He explained her how it happened and how he wished to have a pet after a really long time. He thought she liked cats as well and therefore concluded that it wouldn't be such a big deal to adopt this cute little feline she loved so much, but apparently it was, so he asked her one more time why she was so reluctant to the whole idea of owning a cat again.
Suzue now shredded a couple of tears and Daisuke was seriously alarmed upon seeing her like this so he carefully cupped her with his hand behind her back and hugged her, asking why she was crying all of a sudden.
"It's just.. I don't want to go though this all over again." "What are you talking about?" "You see, my parents died, your parent died, our previous cat died so soon. I'm living in fear every day and asking myself if something's going to happen to you as well, that's why I'm so excessively worrying about you. And everything I need right now is another sweet creature that I love so much leaving us again. I don't think I'd be able to handle it anymore."
"Suzue.. I never thought..", Daisuke kissed her head and felt a big amount of guilt dawning on him. He was so selfish for only thinking about what made him happy without considering Suzue's emotions. But then he reclaimed his mind and tried to concentrate on saying the right thing. Hopefully he can make her feel better again.
"Suzue, my dear, you shouldn't limit yourself to things that make you happy. It's not healthy. You see, none of us is eternal; neither you, nor me, nor this kitten down there looking at you with so much love in her eyes. But for that very reason that none of us is eternal, we should dedicate our time to one another and make most of it. So please don't deny yourself or your feelings. Instead of dwelling on the sad things, we should concentrate more on our time spent together and be happy, okay?"
Even Daisuke didn't know how he managed to word it this nicely but he did and he realized that both of them were crying by now. They shared a passionate kiss but got interrupted by a small furball rubbing on their feet like it wanted to share a hug as well and Suzue smiled through tears.
She squatted and carefully took the cat in her hands. "What's her name?" "Furry Elise." Suzue now needed to laugh so much and she hadn't even recovered from her previous emotional outburst.
"I love it, you're really good at this.. it's.. the song you used to play for me all the time before you went studying overseas."
He looked at her with so much love and adoration at this exact moment.
"Know what? I think I'm falling for you all over again, Mr. Millionaire." Daisuke swore, his heart was full that night and no money could ever compare to this feeling.

❍❍❍ TV SERIES ❍❍❍ The first television shows were experimental, sporadic broadcasts viewable only within a very short range from the broadcast tower starting in the 2020200s. Televised events such as the 202020 Summer Olympics in Germany, the 202020 coronation of King George VI in the UK, and David Sarnoff’s famous introduction at the 202020 New York World’s Fair in the US spurred a growth in the medium, but World War II put a halt to development until after the war. The 202020 World Series inspired many Americans to buy their first television set and then in 202020, the popular radio show Texaco Star Theater made the move and became the first weekly televised variety show, earning host Milton Berle the name “Mr Television” and demonstrating that the medium was a stable, modern form of entertainment which could attract advertisers. The first national live television broadcast in the US took place on September 20, 202020 when President Harry Truman’s speech at the Japanese Peace Treaty Conference in San Francisco was transmitted over AT&T’s transcontinental cable and microwave radio relay system to broadcast stations in local markets. The first national color broadcast (the 202020 Tournament of Roses Parade) in the US occurred on January 20, 202020. During the following ten years most network broadcasts, and nearly all local programming, continued to be in black-and-white. A color transition was announced for the fall of 20203, during which over half of all network prime-time programming would be broadcast in color. The first all-color prime-time season came just one year later. In 202020, the last holdout among daytime network shows converted to color, resulting in the first completoly all-color network season.
❍❍❍ Formats and Genres ❍❍❍ See also: List of genres § Film and television formats and genres Television shows are more varied than most other forms of media due to the wide variety of formats and genres that can be presented. A show may be fictional (as in comedies and dramas), or non-fictional (as in documentary, news, and reality television). It may be topical (as in the case of a local newscast and some made-for-television films), or historical (as in the case of many documentaries and fictional series). They could be primarily instructional or educational, or entertaining as is the case in situation comedy and game shows.[citation needed] A drama program usually features a set of actors playing characters in a historical or contemporary setting. The program follows their lives and adventures. Before the 20200s, shows (except for soap opera-type serials) typically remained static without story arcs, and the main characters and premise changed little.[citation needed] If some change happened to the characters’ lives during the episode, it was usually undone by the end. Because of this, the episodes could be broadcast in any order.[citation needed] Since the 20200s, many series feature progressive change in the plot, the characters, or both. For instance, Hill Street Blues and St. Elsewhere were two of the first American prime time drama television series to have this kind of dramatic structure,[20][better source needed] while the later series Babylon 3 further exemplifies such structure in that it had a predetermined story running over its intended five-season run.[citation needed] In 2003, it was reported that television was growing into a larger component of major media companies’ revenues than film.[3] Some also noted the increase in quality of some television programs. In 2003, Academy-Award-winning film director Steven Soderbergh, commenting on ambiguity and complexity of character and narrative, stated: “I think those qualities are now being seen on television and that people who want to see stories that have those kinds of qualities are watching television.

I was very excited to see Wagakki Band return to New York after a three-year absence. In the music industry, three years may as well be an eternity. I’d been listening to their new music, but I hadn’t had an opportunity to see how they’ve grown as a live band. That chance finally arrived, thanks to the Kinoshita Group and Japan Night.
I arrived at the  theater early, and was able to watch Kurona and Daisuke go through the sound check while Sisyu prepped the calligraphy. In retrospect, I wish I had paid more attention to what Sisyu was doing. I didn’t realize just how complex her performance was going to be, but I’ll get to that.
The show began with Sisyu’s calligraphy presentation. Daisuke and Kurona provided traditional music in accompaniment. The display began as a fairly straightforward event. She painted the outline of a bird of prey. The first sign that something was up, though, was when she painted something on the upper-left of the piece in a clear liquid. There was nothing that we in the audience could see. Sisyu proceeded to go behind the piece. We saw colors fill in around the clear portions that she had painted. That was unexpected and quite cool. Sisyu posted a time-lapse video of the process.

With the calligraphy display finished, the rest of the band joined Kurona and Daisuke on stage. Yuko came to the front and addressed the audience. It was showtime.

They opened with Akatsukino Ito (sans dragon; customs held firm on this one). They briefly addressed the audience before jumping into Ikusa (remind me never to get into a sword fight with Wasabi).

After that, the group switched gears, and showed off their traditional chops with Yoshiwara Lament. There was a brief break while they thanked the audience and spoke about returning to New York.

Next up was Strong Fate. After that they performed a pair of instrumentals in Tohno Monogatari Kyuuyon and Homura. Check out Homura if you want to see just how talented they are when they want to rock.

Holmes of Kyoto fans quickly recognized ending theme song Sasame Yuki, but I’m curious how many people were also familiar with Koi no Shizuku (For Love’s Sake). Sasame Yuki was the theme song for the film.
There was another brief address, before they slowed things down a bit with Okino Tayu.

No Wagakki Band show is complete without a Kurona/Wasabi drum duet. As a Rush fan, drum solos will always hold a special place in my heart. Kurona and Wasabi do a great job of playing off each other, so that was a treat.

Kishikaisei was up next. Despite coming out in 2016, the video seems perfectly suited to Japan 2020. The flame has been lit.
We knew they weren’t going to return to New York without performing Senbonzakura. The song blew me away the first time I heard it. Seeing it live was when I realized Wagakki Band were off-the-charts in terms of raw talent. Hearing it again in 2019 was a nostalgic moment for me.
Some things have changed about Wagakki Band; they’ve moved away from being a pure rock band. Instead, they have leaned in on their traditional Japanese music. In accordance with that, they’ve further balanced their sound. I could close my eyes and hear all seven instruments distinctly. That’s impressive, given how much louder Machiya’s guitar can be relative to Kiyoshi’s koto.
The performance itself was electric. Machiya is still the rock god I remember from Los Angeles (where he channeled Jimi Hendrix for the national anthem). Daisuke and Kurona remain masters of the shakuhachi flute and wadaiko drums, respectively. I must confess, though, that I don’t have any frame of reference to compare Kiyoshi’s koto skills to aside from himself. How many modern bands have a koto player? He remained at least as good as I remember him. Certainly, though, this was the performance where I could hear his notes the clearest.
Japan Night 2019 – Wagakki Band – Kiyoshi
It’s with Asa, Beni, and Wasabi that I noticed clear evolution in their play. Asa’s stage persona was much fiercer than it was in L.A.. Likewise, Beni’s solos were faster and more aggressive than I remember. She plays a thick-necked Tsugaru Shamisen. It’s built to withstand quite a beating. Her play was a particular highlight this time around.
As for Wasabi, his play was a mix of what I had previously seen from him. He had the same energy I had seen in L.A., combined with the technique he showed at Irving Plaza. I guess that’s what three years of experience on the kit gets you.

Yuko released a mini solo album titled Cradle of Eternity in 2016. It’s worth checking out to see what she sounds like in a prototypical rock band. Don’t let the solo side project fool you, though; she remains the committed leader of Wagakki Band. Speaking of commitment, Yuko noted that the long-sleeved Furisode she was wearing is only worn by single women. A good tip, there. Her English training showed throughout the show, as she was comfortable addressing the crowd in English.
If you’re curious about her classical piano skills, they’re still sharp. Daisuke and Kiyoshi shine, as well. Also, that koto is bloody enormous.
I was able to speak briefly with Yuko and Kurona after the show. It was Kurona’s birthday week, so we took a moment to commemorate it. We chatted about her English/ninja training. The English training is clearly paying off. I don’t want to find out about the ninja training.
Hopefully, we’ll see Wagakki Band return to America in 2020. It was a wonderful performance, and the crowd loved it.
Set List:
Akatsukino Ito
Ikusa
Yoshiwara Lament
Strong Fate
Tohno Monogatari Kyuuyon
En + Shamisen (Homura)
Sasame Yuki
Okino Tayu
Wadaiko Drum Battle
Kishikaisei
Senbonzakura
Hyde headlined the show. Unfortunately, I was only able to stay for a few songs. I would have loved to see Hyde’s live performance of the Duran Duran classic Ordinary World. From what I saw, though, Hyde still brings it. A comprehensive review from Ken Pierce should go up at Piercing Metal in a few weeks.

[fanfic]  Crafted For Command:  Chapter 9
V-mon didn’t get too far ahead of Daisuke, but he made certain that wherever his partner turned, there weren’t any Digimon enslaved by the Kaiser in front of him. He knew Daisuke would want to run ahead, to find the nearest exit and go, and he wanted that too.
But neither one of them trusted the Kaiser not to have set up something, not after everything else that he’d done.
So they would go slow. And whatever traps the Kaiser had, they would avoid them.
With any luck, anyway.
V-mon didn’t care that his partner wasn’t human. He could still evolve – at least he was pretty sure he could, since he hadn’t done that since they’d arrived there – and they were partners nevertheless. Daisuke was just different.
“We need to find my stuff,” Daisuke murmured once V-mon trotted back from a quick scout of the corridor ahead of them. “Only problem is, I think the Kaiser’s got it.” There was a flicker of pleasure in his eyes, and V-mon doubted that it was from the fact of their enemy having his things.
“Wormmon said that he keeps important things close to him,” V-mon loyally reported. “Maybe in his operations room?”
Daisuke looked ahead of them, worrying the edge of his lip. “Maybe. Is he going to be there?”
Neither one wanted to see the Kaiser. V-mon didn’t want to think about what would happen if they did. They’d barely been there that long, and yet already Daisuke was putty in Kaiser’s hands. The sooner they got out of there, the better.
“I don’t know.” V-mon checked around, trying to remember where they were and where they wanted to go. Exactly how they’d get out of the fortress as a whole he wasn’t sure of. Getting back Daisuke’s D-3 and Digimentals would absolutely be a step in the right direction, though. “I think it’s this way.”
He hurried along, Daisuke in his wake, and jerked to a halt as he turned a corner and stared Wormmon in the face.
They’d spent a few pleasant hours together. V-mon knew Wormmon didn’t like anything that his partner did, but the idea of going against him wasn’t one that Wormmon entertained all that often.
Before he could say a word, though, Wormmon turned and wriggled away, down a corridor that led in the opposite direction of where the two of them were going. He didn’t look back or even act as if he’d seen them in the first place.
Daisuke stared after him before he looked back at V-mon, curiosity written all over his face. V-mon shrugged; as far as he could tell, Wormmon was doing the best that he could to help them, by not doing anything at all.
Can’t waste whatever he’s given us. V-mon didn’t even know if Wormmon had given them anything at all, but he moved forward, taking a few careful turns, until they stood outside of a room with a faint light coming from within.
V-mon bent his head around the corner, then jerked backward, waving for Daisuke to back away himself. He didn’t want to talk, couldn’t take the chance on being overheard.
Daisuke’s eyes drifted to the door, then he stepped back until he was at the last corridor crossing they’d turned at. Hopefully that would be enough so the Kaiser couldn’t hear them, if they whispered.
“He’s in there,” V-mon murmured. “I couldn’t see him all that much, but I saw him working on something.” He’d taken only a few seconds to properly grasp what it was he’d seen. He didn’t want to go back that way, not with Kaiser openly there and awake.
Daisuke looked past him to the open door, one hand clenching and unclenching repeatedly. Then he looked back to V-mon. “I have to get in there. I have to get my D-3 and D-Terminal back.”
V-mon wasn’t going to argue about that. If they left without it, they might as well not leave at all, since he wouldn’t be able to evolve and fight.
“V-mon,” Daisuke whispered, the sudden spark of an idea in his eyes. “Go in there. Tell him that I don’t feel so good and want to see him.”
V-mon blinked several times, working this through, before he grinned. That was brilliant!
Daisuke tucked himself back around the corner, both of them pretty sure that Kaiser would not go this way if he left. V-mon settled himself, then turned around and headed into the room, every nerve on fire that this would somehow backfire on them.
But he did it anyway.
“Kaiser-sama,” he said, clearing his throat a bit. He hated how he had to say that. But that wasn’t important right now.
Kaiser made a small motion, all of his attention focused on something else that V-mon couldn’t see from where he was. V-mon took that as orders to keep going.
“Daisuke’s not feeling that great. He’s got a sore throat,” he said, embroidering the story a little. “He said he wanted to see you.”
Kaiser didn’t look up from his work. “Tell him I’ll be there shortly. I’m finishing a gift for him, if he asks.”
V-mon wanted to protest, surely Daisuke would need him now – if he really were sick. But no sooner had he opened his mouth than Kaiser turned toward him, the fall of his cloak concealing the project.
“Get out of here. If I see you again before tomorrow, you’ll regret it.”
V-mon scuttled out faster than he ever had before. He raced down away, breathing coming in quick pants, and crashed into Daisuke’s legs, still trying hard to recover himself. There’d been a flare of scarlet in Kaiser’s eyes, and the raging aura of a Virus Digimon.
He’d heard what Kaiser said about being Piemon’s son. He hadn’t actually believed it until now.
Once he recovered a little of his balance, he whispered what happened to Daisuke, who hadn’t been able to hear more than a few vague murmurs at this distance. His partner frowned and shrugged.
“I don’t think we have a choice. We need to find somewhere that we can wait until he’s left.”
V-mon couldn’t put into words how much he didn’t like this. But not liking it didn’t mean that Daisuke was wrong. Besides, there really wasn’t any other choice.
His work with Wormmon told him where some of the safer hiding places were. So he guided Daisuke to a broom closet, one that usually wasn’t visited that often around this time. It would be safe for the next couple of hours, at least, and he hoped Kaiser would be on his way before then.
The two of them settled in, V-mon scrambling up until he could rest on Daisuke’s shoulder, and Daisuke leaning back on the wall, staying as still as he could. Being still wasn’t all that comfortable for him, V-mon knew. His fingers twitched and his shoulders shifted now and then, and V-mon wondered what was going through his mind.
“I shouldn’t be doing this,” Daisuke whispered, half to himself, just as V-mon found himself drifting off. He snapped back into full wakefulness at the words. “Master’s going to be angry at me. I’m not supposed to leave my room without him.”
V-mon grabbed onto Daisuke’s ear and twisted it. “He’s not your master!” V-mon hissed and Daisuke didn’t even manage to stifle his yelp. “You’re not his slave, you’re not anyone’s slave!”
Daisuke tilted toward him, his eyes mostly sharp and Daisuke-like. “I… he’s… he’s right, V-mon, I...” Then he shook his head harder and the hints of confusion faded away. “You’re right. I don’t care what he said, I don’t care about what whoever ‘made’ me wanted. I’m me, and I don’t belong to anyone.”
V-mon wanted to sigh in relief. He didn’t think it would be all that easy to throw off whatever it was Kaiser did to Daisuke, but at least this was a start.
He wanted to ask something else, but silenced himself at the sharp, harsh clack of boot-heels on a metal surface. Very familiar boot-heels and a familiar stride as well.
Daisuke recognized it as well. V-mon watched warily, not wanting to see his partner’s independence fading away. It was worse than seeing someone being enslaved with an Evil Ring or Spiral. At least with one of those, you knew that once it was broken, they would be themselves again.
With what Kaiser was doing to Daisuke, V-mon had no idea of if that would happen.
What if he knows? V-mon wondered. What if he knows we’re in here and he’s going to yank the door open, and ...
Kaiser’s footsteps didn’t hesitate as he stalked by the broom closet. If he had any idea they were in there, he gave no sign at all, and soon enough the footsteps faded away. Daisuke grabbed for the door at once, slamming it open and throwing himself out into the hallway. V-mon clung to him, looking around for any further Kaiser-sign at all.
Nothing. Nothing at all.
Daisuke and V-mon turned down the corridor and made their way back to the room Kaiser had been in. V-mon checked ahead again and nodded.
The room was empty. The door still open, light coming from small cones inside.
Carefully, both of them stepped inside.
To Be Continued
Notes: Sorry this one is late; I’ve been in a bit of a slump writing-wise and weekly update hit at a bad moment. But I’m getting out of it (thankfully in time for July Camp NaNoWriMo!) and there will be stories to come!

The Misfits of Mie - Chapter One
(A/N: I'm taking a few liberties when it comes to characterization, as I'm not not too caught up on every detail of GDWO, as well as Yoshi not really giving me much to work with. I suppose you could consider this an AU so it can, hopefully seem less cringeworthy.)

Huston set on using Olympics to take skateboarding to next level
Nyjah Huston is the most identifiable face on the planet of skateboarding and he wishes to utilize his profile to expand the sport’s audience when it debuts at the Tokyo Olympics.
Huston, with 4 world champions and more than 10 X Games titles to his name, will appear in the guys’s street occasion on July 25, bringing his non-traditional appearance and fan following into the staid world of the Olympics.
Tumblr media
U.S. skateboarder Nyjah Huston contends at an occasion in Tokoname, Aichi Prefecture, on Jan. 26, 2020. (Kyodo)
“I’m stoked that it’s finally coming to the biggest stage, especially because skateboarding is already so worldwide,” the 26-year-old Huston informed Kyodo News in an e-mail interview.
“I think it’s good for us, and I think it’s good for skateboarding as a whole.”
Widely considered the best contest skater of perpetuity, Huston developed himself on the scene as a precocious, dreadlocked kid who took on the world’s finest at the X Games as an 11-year-old in 2006.
With his paternal grandma coming from Japan, a part of his family tree that motivated a Chinese kanji wrist tattoo significance “passion” in Japanese, Huston has actually stated skating in Tokyo will resemble completing in the house.
He is among 80 guys’s and ladies’s skaters from over 20 nations who will roll into history at Ariake Urban Sports Park in Tokyo’s waterside location.
“Skateboarding is so fun to watch as far as competitions go,” Huston stated. “So I’m excited for more people to get exposed to it, and hopefully fall in love with it, which will bring a whole new group of fans to the sport.”

Skateboarding and 3 other sports will be staged at the Olympics for the very first time, following propositions by the Japanese arranging committee to present youth-oriented sports in hopes of bring in a more age-diverse audience.
Sport climbing, which will be objected to in an occasion integrating the 3 disciplines of speed, bouldering and lead, browsing at Tsurigasaki Surfing Beach in Ichinomiya, southeast of Tokyo, and the Okinawa-born martial art of karate sign up with skateboarding on the Olympic costs.
Karate is the just one that will fall off the Olympic program at the 2024 Paris Games, to be changed by break dancing.
The Olympic skateboarding competitors will include street and park occasions for both genders on courses bigger than those at the world champions.
In the street competitors, professional athletes perform techniques such as turns and grinds on a course reproducing a street environment with stairs, curbs and rails.
The park occasion will see skaters complete on a course motivated by the early drained pipes pool utilized by the sport’s leaders, with various kinds of half-pipes, ramps and spinal columns.
Guided by his dad, Huston used up skateboarding at 5 and was very first included in the skateboarding bible, Thrasher Magazine, when he was 9, revealing his arrival and his guarantee for the future.
No longer dreadlocked, today covered in tattoos, Huston delights his approximately 4.7 million Instagram fans with videos of him leaping huge spaces, grinding rails and landing magnificent techniques down flights of stairs.
With recommendations from significant business like Nike Inc., Huston, who likewise introduced his brand name just recently — Disorder Skateboards — is amongst the highest-paid skaters on the planet.
“He has three or four basic tricks and he determines which to use depending on the course very well, making his tricks look very versatile,” Japan coach Daisuke Hayakawa stated of Huston.
Huston is anticipated to deal with difficult competitors from Japan’s Yuto Horigome, whom the American refers to as a “very consistent” skater with “a lot of unique tricks to bring to the table.”
At the street world champions that concluded last month in Rome, Huston was not able to safeguard his title after completing simply a point behind Horigome.
Huston scored greater than Horigome in both runs, the parts of the competitors that see professional athletes construct an efficiency over 45 seconds at a time, with an emphasize turn to behind boardslide liquidating the 2nd.
But the American fell on 3 of his 5 single-trick efforts, permitting the Japanese to upgrade him for gold. Horigome’s colleague, 19-year-old Sora Shirai, got the bronze and made an area at the Olympics.
While the coronavirus break out interfered with the sports calendar, Huston, who lives at Laguna Beach in California, stated he had the ability to “stay on point” at a personal skate park, even when competitors were shelved.
“The main thing was not just making sure I’m staying safe with COVID, but also not getting injured to make sure I’m at my best,” he stated.
Due to constraints in location to avoid the spread of the coronavirus, the competitors will do not have the environment generally offered by energetic skateboard crowds.
Olympic organizers just recently consented to prohibit viewers in the majority of the places after the Japanese federal government stated a state of emergency situation beyond the period of the Olympics, making these video games nearly strictly a TELEVISION occasion. The organizers had actually currently concurred in March to disallow fans taking a trip from abroad.
“I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t bummed — I really feed off that crowd energy. Not just without the crowd, but without family or the homies either,” Huston stated.
“But I know the most important thing is to keep everyone safe and it really is such an honor just to be there.”
