Guess Sammy has snow gastritis again 🥲 Just threw up the treats from earlier and had some really watery diarrhea. He'd had somewhat runny poo this afternoon already. But other than that he seems fine, still running around yelling at me and all, so I'm not really worried to much.

Am I going to feed him this evening or do I better postpone until tomorrow (probably the latter just to be sure)? And which protein source am I going to give him if chicken/ poultry is not an option? Or maybe I'm just going with potatoes and carrots at first and later mix in the usual soaked kibble. Provided it's just for a day or two it shouldn't be a problem.

Hey there! 🙋‍♀️

Don't know if you've noticed, but I've been away for a couple of days and it's because what I mentioned here has finally happened: I moved! 😄🥳💃

It's taken longer than expected, but this is gonna be my second night in my new home (which is actually my dad's place), and everything's going amazingly well right now! 😊 I have my own office to write and relax, and I'm still adapting to my new routine and such, but this place is giving me what I needed (not only my own space but also peace and silence), and I get along pretty well with my dad.

Also, I get to spend some more time with my boy Mauri since he lives with my dad, but I have to admit... I miss my boy Baloo so so much 🥲 We've both gotten used pretty quickly to each other's presence, as my mom told me he was also looking for me at her place even though I've only been away for one day... I know this is gonna sound weird, but I think I'm gonna have a harder time getting used to not living with Baloo than with my mom 😅

I'm glad I still get to see him of course (and my mom too lol), and he usually spends a couple nights a week at my dad's, so there's that at least. I'll get to live with both my boys even if just a couple times per week, but honestly, considering all I've gained from the change, I really can't complain.

Anyways! I've been away these past days because I really didn't have the time nor the energy to be online in general (a move is EXHAUSTING), but hopefully this weekend I can slowly start to catch up with everything I've missed these days. I hope you're all doing fine, dear friends 💖

📩 Simblr question of the day: It's time to appreciate the small things! What's a small detail from one of your posts that you love? Could be a small tattoo on a sim, specific clutter in a sims' room, a little detail in a render or screenshot, whatever is applicable to you

OHHHH!! I love this one 👀🤗

And whew, do I ever. I spend an ungodly amount of time adding in details to the background or in sims outfits. Like I gradually cleaned up the 1930s farmhouse over time, removing cobwebs and trash and replacing them with keepsakes, or Jo and Gio’s room which changed as Jo’s mental state fluctuated.

As it got worse and worse, the one little space she called her own became more and more cluttered with things she might have used to distract herself. Sprinkled amongst them as the time goes on are more and more flowers, which I imagine Gio either picked or spent what little money they had on. Then by the time the space she really considers her own (her own physical self) has returned to what she considers normal, it’s all been cleaned up again (although not to exact state it was in before)…

But something I’ve really been ~emotional~ about lately is keeping heirlooms visible in the background and sneaking them into certain scenes to show how they move throughout time and space; and while they may remain static, the people and settings around them change. Of course one of the most visible has probably been….

But really, you can also see this with multiple photographs, particularly the ones Zelda keeps of her parents or siblings. I also try to do it with physical objects too, such as the clock from the Duplanchier's mantle in New Orleans (which is now near their photo wall in Strangerville), and, of course Violette’s music box, which belonged to her grandmother Delphine and then Josephine before it was hers...

...and I'm sure we haven't seen the last of it either 😉

I was tossing up what I could share and this little snippet won. So here it is, when everything really goes to shit for Eddie 🙃 (from The Lightning Amnesia Fic)

Buck doesn’t remember.

He doesn’t remember.

Eddie’s entire world crashes down around him. He feels like his body has stopped working. He doesn’t know if he’s breathing but he’s pretty sure his heart has stopped.

Buck’s memories of them can’t be gone.

They can’t be.

What kind of fucked up twist of fate is this?

It isn’t fair.

Buck has to remember.

Eddie needs him to remember.

“Eddie? Eddie?! Shit! It’s okay Eddie, you’re having a panic attack. I’ve hit the nurses button, someone is coming. Stay with me”

A panic attack? Oh.

Someone moves him to sit down, a nurse maybe? He doesn’t know. Like Buck doesn’t know. Because Buck doesn’t remember.

“—hyperventilating, looks like a panic attack. Let’s get him set up in another room and give him a dose of Benzodiazepine”

He’s aware that people are moving him, getting him seated into a wheelchair. He thinks he hears Buck calling after him, but he’s not sure. All he can hear is the sound of his heart pounding in his ears, every beat screaming in agony, he doesn’t remember he doesn’t remember he doesn’t remember.

And then everything goes black.
