she always skips like half the steps when she’s following recipes and then gets confused when her food doesn’t turn out the same like,, Heejins sweetie pleASE-

lowkey can’t cook but she thinks she can because you hype her up too much

like she will serve you a dish that will somehow be both burnt and cold at the same time and you still tell her she did amazing because it makes her so happy and that’s all that matters

your guys’ favourite thing to make together is probably cupcakes or cakes

because you get to bake them and Heejin gets to decorate them, and they always end up looking and tasting immaculate

everything in your guys’ relationship works better when you’re together, you two simply complete each other :’)

not only does she make the most kickass bread but girlie really is a chef of all cuisines too

• Since Iroh II and Kya are born in The Southern Water Tribe;

It's traditional for the villagers to throw a party to celebrate the mother making a full recovery and birthing healthy children.

• The newborns were swaddled in a fur blanket. Their mother knitted hats,mittens,and socks for them while they were outside.

Even with all that Zuko still held them to keep them warm just in case.

• Before the party began Hakoda announced;

"My fellow,Brothers and Sisters. We have gathered here tonight to welcome my grandchildren,Kya and Iroh II, in the world.Today we celebrate new life! May the new generation thrive and prosper!"

The small crowd cheered for the new parents and their babies. Hakoda grinned proudly at his daughter,kissing her forehead then did the same to his grandchildren.

• The villagers celebrate by playing music,dancing around the campfire and having a feast. People congratulated Katara and Zuko and gave the newborns gifts.

• The adults and elders were saying how cute the twins are.

• Iroh II was born first.

The twins both had a dark brown complexion like their mother.

The differences were that Kya had black hair and golden eyes like her father.

"Her eyes have that spark,Zuko."Iroh commented as the Fire Lord held her.

While Iroh II had brown hair and blue eyes.

"He's like the boy version of Katara!"Sokka joked when he held his nephew.

• The little kids crowded around them and marveling at how s m a l l they are compared to them.

The kida also expressed how they really want to play with them when the babies are older.

• Katara wanted to dance real quick so Zuko let Iroh hold Kya and Iroh II.

Kya started crying when he held her.

Welcome, Welcome, 2021

Big sigh.

The goal was originally for me to make a new year’s post on Jan. 3rd, the date of my official return, however...after being tagged in so many kind and awe-inspiring posts, I just had to do one before midnight.

2020 was a crazy year. We all know. Personally, there were so many ups and downs-- either my highest highs or my lowest of lows-- that looking back, I get nothing but headaches. 😂 Still, it was, ahem,

a year,

and I think (I hope) we all got some kind of fulfillment from it and learned a lot. But I think it’s safe to say, on behalf of everyone, that we’re ready to send 2020 on her merry way and tell her kindly, “don’t let the door hit you where the good Lord split you.” <3

disrespecting what looks like a pretty high-quality coffee pot (he remembers you got it for christmas or something) by using it as a holder for $1 ramen

it’s probably going to stink up the coffee pot and every time you make coffee it’s always going to have that faint aftertaste of chicken broth

a shudder goes down his spine and he winces

you perk up when the drying machine suddenly beeps and stops rumbling “god finaLLy”

jin keeps his eyes glued on the damn coffee pot as you set it down next to your basket and go to retrieve your freshly-dried clothes

it doesn’t matter if you’ve eaten 20 pounds of food for dinner because you’ll always aLWAys have room for dessert

especially if dessert involves whipped cream

it’s healthy-ish!! it’s basically dairy and don’t u need dairy for strong bones or something

and strawberries and blueberries are fruit

and fruit is healthy

so if you really think about it assorted berries and whipped cream is the ideal combo if u wanna get in shape

jin doesn’t trust you with the canister of whipped cream (because he’s 100% sure you’re just going to hog all the cream and squirt all of it into your mouth) so he’s squirting some out onto a particularly juicy looking strawberry that he knoWS you want to devour

he turns and offers it to you and your mouth opens automatically as you lean forward to take it into your mouth

“hold on now.” your brows immediately knit together when he pulls away juSt as you’re about to take a bite “admit it. my spaghetti is much better than your stupid mac n cheese meals.” there’s a glint of playfulness in his eyes as he points to his ear and waits for your response

“i dunno. i get the mac n cheese from whole foods so you know it’s good.” you tsk but keep your eyes right on the berry hovering in front of you

“huh. i guess i’ll be enjoying this seasonal japanese strawberry for myself, then.” jin pouts mockingly

Word count: 1267 (IM SORRY IT IS V SHORT I WILL WRITE. ANOTHER) ----------------------- Kai’s feet dragged carelessly against the floor as he entered through the front door of he and Lúcio’s home. The door slammed behind him, a bit louder than he intended it to causing him to jump in fright. A soft sigh escaped his lips as he toed his shoes off of his feet so he could kick them off towards the wall to deal with later.

“Kai?” A familiar voice echoed through the house. “Kai, that you?” 

Lúcio rounded the corner with a beaming smile, only to freeze as he caught sight of his husband’s downtrodden look. Within seconds the DJ was next to Kai, reaching up to tug the jacket off of his husband’s slumped shoulders. He hung the article of clothing on a hook by the door and took Kai’s hand to lead him further into the home and into the main living area. Kai collapsed into the sofa cushions with a heavy sigh.

“Babe, what happened?” Lúcio asked softly as he settled down beside his beloved. His eyes shone with his concern and he reached his hands out to grasp Kai’s in a show of comfort.

Kai dropped his gaze to their hands, allowing himself a moment to simply relish in the feeling of Lúcio’s warmth against his skin. The DJ rubbed his thumbs back and forth over Kai’s knuckles, lulling him slowly into a more peaceful state. “Just… everything went wrong. All of it. I feel like… I feel like I can’t do anything right,” Kai admitted in a mumbled tone of voice. One could practically hear Lúcio’s heart shattering at these words, and even if they couldn’t, the look on his face gave way to this fact very easily.

He released one of Kai’s hands so he was able to reach up and cup his husband’s cheek and turn his face so he could look at him. Tears welled up along Kai’s lower lid. His eyes were bloodshot and his lower lip trembled in time with his shaking hands. Lúcio let out a soft sigh and brought Kai into a careful hug. He moved slowly, ensuring that his husband had enough time to stop him if he so desired to be left alone right then. Kai did no such thing. He simply allowed himself to be pulled into the comforting embrace. His head rested on Lúcio’s chest as the other man brushed his fingers through his hair in a calming manner.

 Lúcio hummed along to one of Kai’s favorite songs, and the too rocked back and forth as they sat wordlessly together. Tears streamed down Kai’s cheeks and soaked into his husband’s shirt, but that was the last thing on Lúcio’s mind. Shirts can be changed. What really matters, and what really only ever matters, is Kai. Kai’s fingers grip tightly onto Lúcio’s shirt in a subconscious effort to pull him closer.

Lúcio plants a soft kiss to Kai’s temple. As the tears begin to slow, and the grip begins to loosen, Lúcio decides it is time to speak. “I hope you understand that, that’s not true,” he begins simply. Kai raised red rimmed eyes to gaze at him in confusion. Without needing the question to be spoken aloud, he reiterated, “It’s not true that you can’t do anything right.”

At this, Kai looked down to where his hands were fiddling with the fabric of Lúcio’s shirt. He gave a non committal hum. “I dunno…” He mumbled. A familiar pair of hands cupped his face and turned him so the two could press their foreheads together. Kai’s eyes fluttered shut at the contact, and he leaned into it in search of comfort.

“Kai, baby, I promise you, you are so talented at so many things. You’re kind, you’re adorable, you’re handsome as can be, you’re funny… You’re the whole package. Sometimes we have bad days, and that’s okay. It’s okay to get down. It’s okay to mess up. Your mistakes aren’t what define you.” He brushes his nose over his husband’s in a sort of compassionate nose kiss, wanting to convey his meaning without having to stop his train of thought. “I know that sometimes it can feel like everything you do is wrong, or that you’ve lost every capability you’ve ever had, but it’s just not true. I promise you that much. But I also know that it can be hard to remind yourself of that, especially when the people around you are saying things to the contrary. That’s why I’m always going to be here to reassure you, okay? And if anyone tries to tell you otherwise, they’re wrong. You know I wouldn’t lie to you.”

Kai’s lips quirked up in a shaky half smile. “You’ve gotta say that, though,” he insisted as his hand found Lúcio’s left one and he brushed his fingers over the wedding band sitting snug on his ring finger. Lúcio let out a soft chuckle. 

“I don’t remember that part of the vows,” Lúcio teased with a bump of their noses together. Kai huffed in amusement and sat back to look at the man in front of him. Lúcio’s smile softened into one of adoration and care, and he turned his hand so that their palms faced each other and he could grasp his husband’s hand carefully. He brought Kai’s hand up to his lips to press soft kisses along his knuckles. “I love you, Kai. More than I can even say in words. You’re… You’re everything to me. I can’t believe how lucky I am to be able to be here, by your side, getting to call you my husband. Out of everyone out there in the world, you chose me, and I’ll never stop being grateful for that. You’ve changed my life for the better, and I know we’ve got a long road ahead of us, but I can’t wait to see what the future holds as long as you’re in it with me.”

Kai let out one final sigh, this time allowing the tension in his shoulders to release as he slumped a bit towards Lúcio, who tugged him closer with open arms. “What did I do to deserve you?” Kai wondered aloud. 

His DJ husband let out a hum in thought. “You were yourself. Because that’s enough. That’ll always be enough.”

Lúcio finally leaned forward and connected their lips in a gentle kiss, one flooded with every ounce of his adoration for the love of his life in front of him. The pair moved in sync with a grace that only those who know each other inside and out can possibly possess. Every movement, every action, the other anticipates before it even happens. They run on the same chord, the same mindset, they know each other like they know themselves. Perhaps even better.They are two souls that meet to form one, bound to be together forever, as they were always meant to be. In every universe, in every possible timeline, no matter what stands in their way. These two are fated for one another. And that is never more apparent than when they’re together.

They pulled away just enough to catch their breath, but remained close enough for their breaths to mingle together in the small space between them. Kai was the first to break the silence. “I really, really love you, starshine,” he spoke into the quiet air. Lúcio beamed at this admission, a statement he hears multiple times a day, yet could never get sick of. It excites him just as much every single time.

“I love you too, Kai. More than I ever thought was possible.”

alrighty here we go I’M FINALLY responding to these uwu. i’m also assuming the anons are you so they all goin in one ask because i’m nothing if not unreliable. 

1.  Song of the year?Short answer is American Problem by Kevin Abstract. (f slur warning! he’s gay and it’s only used once but be safe lads.)

I’m a sucker for A) Kevin Abstract and B) songs about a person’s existence defying the idea of what America is. Kevin Abstract has such a way of evoking the experience of being marginalized in the South (especially being LGBT+/Queer) that is really visceral and the entirety of Arizona Baby is such an emotional experience. Song of the year is like,.... stupidly hard to decide but my first instinct was this song because it’s just incredible and super underated. Listen to Kevin Abstract! (Runners-up includes literally any lil nas song and RKS’s No Vacancy bc that shit makes me cry every time.)

2. Album of the year?Lizzo’s Cuz I Love You (her tiny desk concert is almost religious tbh), probably. I listened to it more towards the beginning of the year but honestly she’s really blown up in 2019 and I’m very happy to see it. It’s unfortunate that people are so determined to box her into one genre or mood bc I think she offers a lot of versatility as an artist! Her self-love and positivity is a great aspect of her music but there’s much more to it than that and I’m excited to see what her future work looks like. :’) (Runners-up is Adia Victoria’s Silences because she’s an incredible musician and everyone should check her out and Orville Peck’s Pony bc....it’s tumblr and melancholic gay cowboy is what you’re here for right?)

3.  Favorite musical artist / group you started listening to this year?Lil Nas X! Hands down. Like most everyone in the US I started seeing him pop up after Billboard took Old Town Road off the Country charts and I’m nothing if not a marginalized redneck who loves to see other marginalized people embracing rural culture. 7 is a wonderful EP and I’m anxiously awaiting a full length album from him!!!! His fluidity between genres is so appealing and while I’m not one to get too into the actual personality of musicians, he seems like a really nice and likable guy. Aside from him, I’ve gotten really into Gillian Welch this year and just in general have been listening to a lot more traditional folk, country, and bluegrass.

12.  Talk about a new friend you made this year.Ok!!!!!!!!!! (ash you ask me this question KNOWING we known each other longer look at this it’s AWKWARD....ily

19.  What’re you excited about for next year? Not to be cheesy but!!!!! My little brother is graduating high school this spring and i’m so excited/anxious/proud of him!!!! hopefully he’ll be gettin his college acceptance letter soon...wish him luck!! other than that.......i should probs be more excited for my own future haksdjfhkajsd um i’m really hoping to get to do an internship in DC this summer so that would be dope???

25.  Did you create any characters (in games, art, or writing) this year? Describe one. You asking me this makes me realize I haven’t made many characters recently??? Just been. Fine tuning old ones and stealing mainstream ones I suppose. >:) Anyways! Probably Gil, my dnd character for a friend’s campaign! He’s a former armed revolutionary turned peaceful rural fisherman who is adventuring the ocean blue to pay his daughter’s enchanting school tuition. her name is sadeeq and she is the pride and joy of his life! He’s a nice guy who wants to stay out of trouble but unfortunately trouble likes to find him :^)
