🎶It's Been a Whiiiile!🎵
Got nostalgic today and realized I haven't drawn these nerds in literal YEARS, so had a bunch of fun drawing them all being silly ♥
Love these Shits.

A friend of mine sent me your latest post and I couldn't stop thinking about how perfectly Vasco would fit into the role of a coat of arms supporter. It got to the point that I just sat down and made a mock-up of the idea; turns out actually, both of them do a great job at it, together. Literally made this account to share the discovery
(Extra funny points for them fitting the original colour scheme)

Day 24 of TMayNT: Favorite turtle + villain dynamic
I chose Hypno-potamus from Rise of the TMNT for this prompt :]
I love his character development and how he seems to grow a soft spot for the turtles.
These sketches are redrawn from screenshots except for the doodles of rabbits, doves etc :]
(Note: I chose to draw Hypno in a top hat rather than a turban because one of the writers who worked on the show said that Hypno was not wearing the turban for religious reasons. It was part of his costume. Also, Hypno’s canon design, especially as a human, has similarities to harmful stereotypes of Romani people—so a few of Hypno’s fans on here including me like to depict Hypno with a top hat instead.)
the TMayNT challenge is hosted by @mikasleaf see more at @tmaynt

Public Service Announcement
Charlotte and Yami are beauty and the beast, yes, but it is CHARLOTTE who is the BEAST. She is the one who is cursed, and the one who causes an incident from said curse, and the one dependent on roses, and the one who is saved in the last minute by the beauty through understanding her.
Yami is the beauty, the man with a head as dense as a brick and tits as thick as pound cake. Put some respect in his name and stop making him the beast when he is, in fact, the beauty.

Everytime descendants puts out a new trailer, I'm convinced that:
They don't care about the animated movies at all
It's a retcon and the Isle doesn't exist. Not to mention they brought back old actors from the 1997 Cinderella for nostalgia bait
What the bloody hell is even going on?💀💀
*"They don't care about the animated movies at all"
I mean, that much is obvious with how the movies keep straying from the animated movies and more into either the original fairy tales/stories or sometimes the various live actions...or in Merlin Academy's case, rip off areas with Ever After High/School for Good and Evil.
Like, these movies CLAIM to be connected to the ANIMATED movies, and yet, you got shit like saying the sleeping curse was 100 years when no, in the animated movie it was at best a few hours lmao, 100 years is the original fairy tale, while you also now have the Jabberwocky being referenced when animated Alice in Wonderland didn't have that, only the original story did alongside Tim Burton's first live action...Queen of Hearts also in animated didn't have magic but they needed to make this bitch Maleficent levels of threat somehow I guess.
And the less said about the mess Merlin Academy is when you try to connect them to the animated movies, the better, because that's a whole ass rant on its own.
Like, why fucking claim to be connected to the animated movies if all your gonna do is not be accurate to them and on top of that, constantly try to connect to the original fairy tales and live actions and even try to rip off other franchises??? Just...why the fuck do that?!
*Well, yes, this film is a retcon in a way, but not in the way you said. The Isle STILL existed, but now in a way off, "Tfw your classmate united every kingdom and wouldn't let you rest in death and instead decided a prison island was better for you as a punishment."- the only reason it comes off as the Isle is no longer important because it suddenly went from Isle kids to now just kingdoms who didn't join Auradon having their kids be invited, in this films case, Red. And if we try to connect Beyond the Isle of the Lost to this mess somehow, they confirmed not many VKs now attend Auradon Prep, which is Disney terms for we not bothering to continue with the Isle kids plot now that the Isle is gone...maybe they aware that means addressing the elephant in the room that is vengeful villains have now been freed onto Auradon lmao.
*The fact that they brought Brandy back as Cinderella just to get fans of her film in to watch, only to reveal in trailer she gets taken prisoner by the Queen of Hearts and is potentially beheaded...the disrespect vibes are strong here, let alone the vibes off, 'we did our job of getting her fans to watch, now time to get rid of her for a-lot of the film-'
*"What the bloody hell is even going on?"
Good question! I don't think anyone knows! And that's even after Disney was FINALLY honest about what's going on in a Descendants plot in a trailer for once.
I just know its a fucking mess, that's what.

The cognitive dissonance in the Timeless Children when Jodie Whittaker is acting her ass off, winning all of the hypothetical awards, embodying every cell of the Doctor's body, and the dialogue about the Time Lords (have made universe-spanning careers out of secrecy, keeping things from other species, lying about their real goals, forcing the Doctor out so he can't tell people the truth, literally planning to burn the universe to ascend to a higher plane) is literally "Why would they lie?"
Like, bro. Dude. Doctor. My pal. Friendo. Regardless of the Timeless Child twist, That is literally all the Time Lords have ever done.

Reading the Rose of Versailles again is, of course, making me think of Penguindrum and I can’t help but remember Yuri’s affair with Tsubasa. I can only imagine the disdain many had for that scene, portraying Yuri as unfaithful making her an “immoral” lesbian, but it almost feels to me like how people want many shoujo protagonists to act when they are made to love a man in the narrative. The parallels to the Rose of Versailles are obvious since Yuri played Marie Antoinette in opera, she is often portrayed in Ringo’s delusions in Riyoko Ikeda’s art style, and the woman she had an affair with looks virtually identical to Oscar Francois de Jarjayes.
In The Rose of Versailles, Marie is made to marry a man she does not love while she takes a particular interest in Lady Oscar. The affection Marie and Oscar showed towards each other is what immediately made the manga so beloved, even somewhat upstaging her relationships with the male characters.
In Penguindrum, Yuri is the fiancée of Keiju Tabuki and while they appear to be in love, the audience learns that their marriage was a facade. Like with Marie and Louis XVI, Yuri did not really love Tabuki and it’s revealed her affair with Oscar lookalike Tsubasa is because she can’t suppress her desire to lie in bed with a woman. In The Rose of Versailles, Marie does nearly have an affair, but with a man. Yuri felt almost symbolic of how many readers of shoujo manga see the women portrayed in them as lesbian women forced to be with a man. Her affair is seemingly what people wish these shoujo protagonists would do. I mean, her name being Yuri was not a coincidence. But it leaves the viewer with a mixed feeling. You grow to like Tabuki at that point and you thought you liked Yuri as well. You don’t know yet that Tabuki also felt nothing for their marriage, so it’s hard not to feel like Tabuki doesn’t deserve that. But if you would be okay with Marie cheating on Louis to be with Oscar, should Yuri not be allowed to do the same?
