i know for practical reasons it would unethical and search engines should NOT have the power to identify ethnicity of the poster, but god i wish when googling for taco recipes i could click a button to get rid of all the ones made by white people

i cant wait till i move again bc i used to be soooo good at feeding myself when i had more fridge/counter space .. i have a rice cooker and i would also just take an hour every week and make it an Activity to like, roast vegetable and make a whole box of pasta and put salad in small tupperware containers. and i would also put snacks in ziploc bags, both fridge (like grapes and celery or whatever) and also pantry things like popcorn n Fun Treats and stuff. and then i would JUST have that in the house. but it was fine bc everything wld have like either no prep or wld just require a couple mins in the microwave.
now that i live with family in a small space its such a free for all and the fridge/pantry are zoos lmfao.

Submissions are now CLOSED! Two slots were left, which we've filled with our own OCs, giving a final cast number of 36! Now, all that's left to do is finish off portraits for the cast, then run the sim! Updates to come, but in all liklihood you'll just be seeing us posting miscellanous scugs to our art blog 'til we're done. Call it the preparation time - you know who the tributes are, now it's time to get familiar with them before their horrific and untimely deaths!
If you want to see our current log of finished portraits, we'll reblog them to here - or you can check character profiles if you want to see them early, though that may require using desktop or a browser app, since mobile Tumblr still doesn't support custom pages, despite desktop Tumblr having supported them for more than ten years. You will want to look at the tributes list, and then click on the name of the character whose profile you wish to view.
Alternatively, you will want to go to https://rainworldbloodsport.tumblr.com/1 and swap out the number until you find your desired tribute, since we're drawing characters by numerical order on when they were added. Sliver of Straw and Saint should turn up later today, if all goes well, and we'll try and keep a pace of at least two per day. May be more or less - there will also be dead portraits done, you just won't get to see 'em until actual death occurs.

First Time Acrylic Nails: A Detailed Experience of Westover Beauty in Bournemouth | Review - PR Event
I was invited along to experience getting my nails done as acrylics for the first time at Westover Beauty in Bournemouth! I know, a beauty blogger who hasn’t done acrylics before…  I’ve tried my fair share of salons and techniques in my career as a beauty blogger, and this time I decided to try out acrylic nails, and I couldn’t wait to share my experience with others through this review. I…

Years before the covid pandemic began, author Naomi Kritzer wrote the charming, emotionally genuine short story "So Much Cooking," which was a pandemic log through the eyes of a cooking blog. The premise is that the author is a home cooking blogger raising her kids, and then a pandemic hits--and bit by bit she's feeding not only her own, but her sister's kids, some neighbors' kids, and so on, in a situation of pandemic lockdown and food shortages.
It's very good, and was prescient for a lot of the early days of the covid pandemic. I found myself returning to it often in the first couple of years because of how steadfast it was in its hopefulness.
Last year she wrote a novelette, "The Year Without Sunshine," which attacks a similar problem in a similar way; instead of pandemic, this one is about the aftereffects of a distant nuke or a massive volcano explosion (it doesn't say), which has churned a great deal of dust into the air, causing massive damage to society and agriculture. The story covers one neighborhood, pulling together to keep each other alive--not through violence, but through lawn potatoes and message pinboards and bicycle-powered oxygen concentrators.
I recommend both stories. They're uplifting in a way that a lot of what I see lately isn't. They're a bit of a panacea for constant fearmongering about intracommunity violence and grinding hatefulness. We can be good to each other, if we try.

how does one become popular online especially if they want to do like online recipes or lifestyle stuff when they are awkward in front of the camera and the internet HATES them and refuses to show their stuff to people so they can never gain followers/traction? asking for myself

A blogger in gaza, Amal alhenawi, shared a story yesterday explaining how the past few days have been. Of course there are no words to describe exactly how it is to live under constant bombardment.
She said that she misses sleeping alone in her room, instead of having to share a room with other 10 people. She said she feels guilty when she secretly admits she's terrified of death and that she wants to live. No internet, no food, sometimes when they get lucky each member of her family gets one loaf of bread for the day, other days there might not be anything to eat. She mentioned how everybody celebrated when her brother came back with water, but it tasted weird, turns out it was undrinkable but it was the only solution they had.
What horrified me the most, is when she talked about their neighbors building getting bombed by israeli air strikes. And how paramedics as well as civilian defense came to the scene only to leave minutes later. In their own words: "this building is four floors. We have no equipment to dig through or get anyone out." So they had to leave. People from the neighborhood started digging with their own hands, they could hear some people alive underneath, but no one could get out.
Amal talks about her two cousins who visited her and they're little kids who don't talk anymore. She said they saw their friend and neighbor dead, with his head sperated from his body, the trauma was too severe for them to process.
Amal wants to live. She came to gaza to celebrate her brother's wedding. Who was planning on leaving for his honeymoon before the genocide started.
Each person of gaza has a story, a life worth living. So we must end this genocide. Do everything you can, do not stop and do not get used to it. Annihilating an entire city is not normal and should never be.

FUNDRAISERS FOR PALESTINIANS THAT ARE LOW ON FUNDS
Here are some fundraisers of Palestinians in/from Gaza who've reached out to me and that are very low on funds. If you're able to donate, I encourage you to (even if it's a small quantity, it can make a huge difference); and if not, share this post as much as you can.
DISCLAIMER: These fundraisers mostly aren’t vetted by any reliable bloggers or organizations, or I haven’t been able to find proof of vetting for them. That being said, I feel confident including them in this list since everything about them points to them being legit (for example, there’s wide picture and video documentation, and the GFM’s receiver is located in one of the countries where you’re able to receive money through the platform). Whether you decide to donate or not, it’s up to you. If one of these fundraisers is indeed a scam, please reach out to me with evidence of it so I can remove it from this list.
Rebuilding Hope: A Gaza Family in Need of Your Help (@majedgaza1) - $1243/$70000 - Majed and his family were able to escape to safety in Egypt. However, they're in need of funds to get safe housing and to pay for the education of his children so they can keep studying.
Help Whadi get cancer treatment and evacuate his family - £1739/£100000 - Whadi is a 17-year-old teenager with stomach cancer who needs urgent funds to continue his treatment and afford his medication. This campaign was vetted by the volunteer collective beesandwatermelons on Instagram, and can be found in their spreadsheet at #11.
Help me get my family out of Gaza (@karim-rasha) - 1530€/50000€ - Rasha needs help evacuating his family, which includes his elderly parents and young siblings (10 and 12 years old), from Gaza. The Tumblr account is managed by Karim, the eldest sibling.
Help us to survive from this war (@moneerraed) - 100€/35000€ - Monir, his parents, and four siblings need funds in order to evacuate Gaza after losing their shop and home.
Help Ahmed and his family get out of Gaza (@save-ahmed-family1) - 1203€/20000€ - Ahmed lost his mother when she was unable to access medical treatment after the ongoing Israeli aggression started. He now needs help to evacuate to safety alongside his wife and young daughter.
Save my family in Gaza Strip.. Help my family's children (@sara-97a) - 672€/50000€ - Ahmed and his family need urgent help evacuating Gaza, as well as affording food and medicine for his elderly mother who's a stroke survivor with diabetes and can't currently access treatment. He's got three young children as well.
Regardless of how small it is, any donation is incredibly helpful. Your five or ten bucks can be the difference and help any of the people here afford food, medicine, evacuation, and be able to survive the ongoing genocide. If not, please reblog so these fundraisers can get more eyes on them and be able to reach their goal.
