Mermay time? MERMAY TIME!!!!!!!!! Anyway, I was hit with an idea. Human Regris with mer Pidge. I was craving both and just combined them together and I am more than pleased! So here we have Regris hanging out with his newfound aquatic friend and showing her a tablet he has. I love it.
Also, thanks to @zipp0flare, @toasthoneyandstardust, and @breadstickcat for helping me figure out Pidge's colours. Colouring a mermaid is harder than it seems at times.
Anyway! I hope y'all enjoy this one! Remember, commissions are open and available on my Ko-fi! Until next time!

How would Morvok, Sniv, Ulaz, and Regris try to impress a reader they’re interested in? Would they talk about their exploits or do something they’re skilled at?
That is an interesting question. Here's how I believe they would go about impressing the woman of their dreams (aka all of you, the readers)
_________________________________________
~ Ulaz ~
~ Honestly, Ulaz is the kind of person who would observe you first to make sure that you're interested in him before he tries to impress you
~ To him, romantic relationships should take time to develop in order for the romantic tension to build up, but once he's 1,000% positive that you have a crush on him he spends more time with you
~ Ulaz likes to show off his skills to you whenever you're around and he's always careful not to make any mistakes, the last thing he wants is to embarrass himself in front of you
~ If the castle is parked on some planet, Ulaz definitely goes out on a hunt so he can impress you with his hunting skills
~ He's also always there for you whether you need someone to talk to or hang out with, in order to show you that he's interested he's always present while he's around you
~ Ulaz also impresses you by learning about the things you love or are passionate about, that way he can do those things with you on a regular basis
~ Will definitely get a little shy and blushy if you do or say something, anything, that implies that you're very interested in him
~ Ulaz is a hopeless romantic and will impress you with various romantic gestures, but he won't love bomb you or come on too strong bc he doesn't want to overwhelm you
~ He's also affectionate with you, which works like a charm while he's trying to impress you
~ Another thing Ulaz does to impress you is fire dancing; he's never done it before, but with how flexible he is, he does it perfectly without setting himself or anything else on fire
~ He's also got regular dancing skills, which are extremely impressive
~ With time, he learns how to make you swoon for him and all of his methods work because it isn't long before he begins courting you
_____
~ Regris ~
~ Regris is still a young adult, younger than Ulaz, and even though he's serious most of the time he can get a little awkward around you, his love interest
~ Regris doesn't know what to do or how to impress you, so he does several hours of research to see what humans liked and found attractive
~ He begins working on various tech projects specifically made for you; whether it's something to make your life easier or something akin to an mp3 player that holds thousands of songs with headphones, you can bet he'll make it
~ In order to really woo you, Regris tries writing a poem and giving you flowers
~ He's definitely not a poet, but his attempt to impress you definitely confirms your suspensions about him being romantically interested in you
~ Regris definitely tries to impress you with his fighting skills
~ Just to be clear, he might try fighting someone if it impresses you unless you don't want him to
~ He also likes to impress you with how sweet and cuddly he can be, but he also treats you well just as any future significant other should
~ Regris once tried to perform a traditional dance for you from his father's people, but even though he probably messed up a few steps he could tell that you were still impressed
~ The fact that he can use his tail to lift things is impressive enough, if the two of you are out shopping he uses it to carry some of the bags
~ Thankfully Regris eventually figures out how to impress you without being awkward about it and is successful in showing you that he's romantically interested in you
_____
~ Morvok ~
~ Morvok knows that he's not the highest ranking commander in Zarkon's military, but he can be charming and to him, he thinks he's the best
~ The problem is that when he's around you he gets shy and blushy because he's never been around such a beautiful woman before
~ However, he makes it his mission to impress you after he catches one of the foot soldiers in his ranks flirting with you
~ Instead of fighting off a monster or bringing you the biggest kill he can find, Morvok impresses you with how charming he can be
~ He definitely brags about how many planets he's successfully conquered and how big his territory is, although he leaves out the part when he needed help conquering one planet in particular
~ Morvok also doesn't tell you about how the paladins defeated him, it's too embarrassing bc of the whole ‘Victory or Death’ thing
~ Because of his size, he's avoided most dangerous situations throughout his life, although Morvok knows how to play a few different instruments and he impresses you by showing off his mad musical skills
~ While he's around you, Morvok becomes a little more humble since he doesn't want to scare you away
~ Ultimately, whether you and Morvok end up together is up to you
~ He is cute and fun-sized tho, and he's huggable too
_____
~ Sniv ~
~ One would think that Sniv would keep pestering you when he realizes that he's romantically interested in you, but he doesn't want you to resent him if he comes on too strong
~ However, he does get more lovey and affectionate
~ In order to impress you, Sniv proudly tells you of his exploits and how many planets he's conquered in order to snag a place at the main hub
~ He also brings fresh kills for you on a regular basis and he shows off his fighting skills
~ However, he understands that humans are different and he impresses you by also showing off his sensitive side and how much he truly cares about you as a person
~ Sniv learns about your interests, even the fandoms you're into so that you both can ‘fangirl’ together when one of your favorite artists/directors comes out with something new
~ Another thing he impresses you with are his dancing skills when Zarkon throws a royal ball for only his highest ranking commanders and their plus ones
~ He's funny, too, and knows how to tell hilarious jokes to make you laugh
~ Expect him to make the fur on his head look extra fluffy because he wants to impress you in every way imaginable
~ With how impressive and charming he is, Sniv easily manages to impress you

Matt was currently missing from the area. Having ran off with his sister and the Paladins. But Romelle, Regris, Neto, and a few others were roaming around.
Some cans of paint laying around as well, unopened for the moment. But prepared.
@themisplacedtruth-vld
(Before the angst)
The group of og metals beings noticed a large amount of paint. Pastel colors from the shade. Flow was curious as she innocently followed the trail.
The twins were a little more hesitant as they followed Flow to keep her from doing something too much (Ghostwire) and to watch (Phantasma.)
"Hmm, what is happening with them?" Delta questioned. Her wings twitched as Fedelis crossed his arms, "Human tradition?" He guessed.

Just read chapter 24 the first time out of a dozen, and I can definitely say I loved every second of it! From being flirty and scandalous to tender and emotional, it made me into a certified train wreck. I want to say the first portion of the chapter when they drank tea together was my favourite (because it’s just so domestic and I love tea), but I also wanna say it was when Keith was sharing bits of his past with Lotor? Cuz I have been waiting patiently and excitedly for when they talk some about his childhood trauma, and I’m glad he got to communicate it. I gotta ask tho, is there anymore forms of Galran/Marmoran sparing games/techniques that you can share? Tahk’ta is so fascinating and I wanna get my hands on more info!! I loved the chapter, flower, thank you for the read! 🧡
domestic keitor is cute af and I just l o v e t h e m s o d a m n m u c h they deserve a moment's peace in which to simply take tea together ( ˃̣̣̥^˂̣̣̥ )
I'm really pleased that you found takh'ta so interesting! Its conception was solely due to my need for a galra sparring game that could (1) have been previously played by Keith & Regris, (2) be played again by Keith & Lotor, and (3) serve as a method of having Keith open up about his past—and his history with Shiro in particular—that didn't just feel like a really awkward and stilted bout of info-dumping. I also quite specifically wanted it to be //messy//, because Lotor's outer persona is so carefully put together that I wanted to visually deconstruct that; even if only for myself, it felt important that the moment in which Keith first allows himself to think of the prince as beautiful—
Lotor takes a moment to absorb it all, and like this—hair inconsolable, mud flaking from his skin, contemplative and calm in the light of the setting sun—Keith thinks him beautiful. He’s always beautiful, really.
—is so clearly an imperfect one, so as to subvert the entire concept of who Lotor appears to be in the eyes of everyone else, and paint him as sweetly, painfully human.
Anyway, that's all for the origins of takh'ta, and I'm afraid that beyond that which I needed for the purposes of chapter 24, I didn't actually think about any other galra sparring games in particular? There'd be your classic forms of imperial hand-to-hand combat, of course, but that's a style of material art rather than a game: though I'm sure the galra would have made a game out of subduing and pinning your opponent too!

Meet Regris! He’s an angel that honestly kinda sucked at being an angel, so he was sent to watch over a human in hopes that he learns to be more compassionate and less mischievous.

Prompt #6
Fandom: Voltron
Ship(s): Keith Kogane x Lance McClain
Alternate Universe
Keith and Lance were together in the Garrison. Then Shiro’s mission happened. Somehow the BoM found out the existence of Keith (I’m betting Krolia told them), they come to find him (because family is a big deal to them) and he goes with them. This is all kept a secret, everyone thinks Keith’s “rich, biological family from Korea” came and took him away. The only humans who know the truth are Keith and Adam (Shiro’s bf who thought he was dead but now is having doubts).
And then, the Blades find Shiro. They find the Red Lion. Allura and Coran wake up. Shiro and Keith become the Paladins (Keith already is a Blade by now). They find signals of Blue from Earth. Allura, Coran and the Paladins come to retrieve Blue. Pidge picks up weird signals, Lance and Hunk sneak up on her (sort of like what happens in canon). They get tangled up in the mess, Blue responds to her Paladin. But now, instead of them all cramping inside Blue’s cockpit, They have Red and Black to help. Lance tries to fly Blue with them. Obviously, Blue runs on autopilot because God, Lance may be a pretty good pilot but he has never flown something like her before. After that, they retrieve Yellow and Green.
So, unsurprisingly, Lance and Keith are uncomfortable with each other. And Keith has changed so much that Hunk and Pidge have a hard time reconnecting with him. (Oh and by the way, they’re no longer kids. I mean they are still pretty young, but it’s been a few years since Keith left.) Keith leaves the castle sometimes (for BoM missions, but Hunk, Pidge and Lance don’t know that, at least not yet) and reports to Allura personally. Lance still flirts with Allura and Keith becomes absolutely livid whenever it happens. But Lance being the annoying shit he is, does it even more when he is near, and loudly. Allura is not an idiot, of course, and tries to confront Keith about it, emphasis on tries (she is not close enough with the newest additions to talk to Lance). Then, Regris visits, officially for BoM business and unofficially to spend some time with his little brother(or nephew?). Lance is seething with jealousy when he sees then sparring/play-fighting, Keith is smiling goddamnit!
That all aside, Keith has a loving family with the Blades and Shiro. Krolia is still doing whatever it was that kept her away from her son. Ulaz is not dead.
These are my requests-
If there is smut, please write Top!Lance x Bottom!Keith (don’t switch)
Don’t give Lance abusive parents
Don’t make Keith’s father abusive
Don’t make Lance and/or Keith trans
Give the Galrans feline behaviours (like purring, hissing, etc)
That’s basically it, you can do whatever you want for the rest.
(´。• ᵕ •。`)
Have fun!

Whumptober 2020 - Day 21
We get to bring in two new characters to the mix today! I won’t say who yet, you’ll just have to read to find out. :)
Read on AO3
Read on FFN
Day 21 - Chronic Pain
Fandom: Voltron: Legendary Defender
Warnings: nudity (non-sexual), foster home mention
It was a bad day. A really bad day.
He had plenty of bad days, those came nearly once a month. Those he could power through.
But this was one of those days that thankfully, didn’t show up too often. He hadn’t had one this bad in probably a year or more. Certainly not since coming to space, which he was more than grateful for.
Curling in tighter on himself, Keith stifled a whimper with his pillow. He was pretty sure his roommates were already long gone, but he still didn’t want to risk anyone hearing him make pathetic noises. He needed to get up. It was getting late in the day, and he was still in the bed, and he was pretty sure he had a mission at some point to report for. If he didn’t get up soon, somebody was going to come looking for him, and then not only would he be in trouble, but he’d have to explain why he was curled up like a kitten with the covers pulled over his head and tear tracks staining his face.
And he didn’t even know. All he knew was that it hurt, and it had been doing so for his entire life.
Okay. I’m gonna do it. I’m gonna get up.
Willing his right arm to move, he threw off the thin blanket. The air was cool, just like the other Blade members seemed to like it. Apparently Galra ran warmer than humans. He was generally cold at night, but didn’t want to be a bother by asking for another blanket.
Now he had to force himself out of the fetal position. He started with the left leg, stretching it out slowly, slowly. The ache grew the farther out it went, until he was turning his face over to keen into the pillow again.
The second leg he decided to do fast, just to get it over with. Throwing it out straight, he gasped involuntarily as pain shot through it. For a moment he just lay there, letting the aches settle until they were at a semi-tolerable level, then began the equally painful process of levering himself up.
By the time he was sitting up, he was close to tears again. Breathe, he reminded himself. Keep breathing.
All that was left was to stand up, walk to the shelf to get his suit, walk down the hall to the communal bathing room, get undressed, bathe, get dressed, walk back to his room to put his sleep clothes away, walk to the bridge, then go on a mission.
Yeah. Sure.
Never mind that each of those individual tasks felt like the equivalent of climbing Mt. Everest. He had no choice. He was a Blade, and Blades didn’t just let a little thing like pain stop them from doing their jobs. If he couldn’t do this, if he tried to get out of going out today, then they might decide he wasn’t worthy of being one of them. They would kick him off the base, and then where would he go?
Not back to the Castle. There was no more room for him there, not without kicking someone else more deserving out of their place. And even if he thought he could make it all the way back to Earth, there had never been anything for him there. Just an empty, lonely, rundown shack in the middle of the desert, and the only reason he had lasted so long out there the first time was the Blue Lion. She wasn’t there anymore.
Okay. Getting up.
Standing took three times as long as it should have. Walking felt like the floor was covered in spikes, and like someone was following him around stabbing him with knives all over his legs. His back wouldn’t quite straighten all the way, at least not without adding a few more knives to the mix, so his posture resembled that of a wrinkled old man. He managed to make it all the way down the hall without running into anyone, thankfully, since he was hunched over and moving at a snail’s pace, and also thankfully was late enough that he was alone in the bathing room.
Galra didn’t do showers. He had learned that upon first arriving at the base. Instead, they used large, square tubs that could fill with either water, dust, or some kind of blue goo, depending on the needs of the individual’s skin, scales, or fur. It had taken him a while to figure out all the different settings, and he had accidentally set off the dust and goo a couple of times in the beginning. Right now, he was hoping that some nice, hot water would be what his body needed to cope with the day to come.
It did feel good to start with. Certainly nicer than he had felt the whole day so far. Keith was able to stretch out his legs, arms, and back fully for the first time without excruciating pain...for a few minutes.
Then the cramps started creeping back in, seizing up his muscles, making him whine. Tucking his knees up under his chin, he let the tears come again. He was tired. And so tired of hurting. A normal day, a day where his bones throbbed but he could use exercise or just pure willpower to get past it and ignore it...that he was used to. He should have been used to these days, too. But they never failed to catch him by surprise and completely knock him off his feet, sapping all his energy and will to do anything but stay in bed. These days turned him into a pathetic excuse for a person, and that was to say nothing about being a soldier. He hated feeling so weak and useless.
The timed bath ran out, and the water began draining. Keith was left curled up in yet another ball, shivering, unable to summon the strength to climb out. The cold doubled the intensity of the pain. His jaw was beginning to add itself to the list of aches from clenching it so hard to keep his teeth from chattering, but he couldn’t even make himself reach over for his towel.
You’ve got to get up. Do you really want someone to find you like this?
As if reading his mind, the door swished open. “Keith?” a familiar, accented voice called. “Are you in here?”
Regris. He lifted a trembling arm finally, swallowing a grunt, trying to get himself covered before he was spotted, but had only made it to the top of the tub when his partner rounded the corner.
“There you are!” Regris stopped, taking in the empty tub, the shaking limbs, and the streaks of water down Keith’s cheeks that were probably very obviously not bath water, and frowned. “Is everything okay?”
“Yeah,” Keith gritted out through his teeth. “‘m fine.” He continued trying to reach the towel, but his arm didn’t want to unfurl quite enough to nab it.
“Ya don’t look so fine, mate.” Crossing to the side of the tub, he snatched up the towel himself and threw it over Keith’s shoulders. “Are ya sick?”
“N-no.” Now he had to get up, whether he thought he was capable or not, so he gripped the sides of the tub with sore fingers and began to push, squeezing his eyes shut and trying to ignore the screaming in every inch of his body. “Told you. ‘m fine.”
Regris shook his head with a sigh. “Course you are. That’s why ya can’t even stand up proper.” Leaning down, he grasped Keith’s arm in his clawed hand and hoisted him up. While he did need the help, the sudden movement sent a wave of pain through him and he wasn’t able to hold in his cry.
The young Galra jumped back like he had been shocked, swearing. “What is it, mate? You’re injured, aren’t ya? Why didn’t you go to the med bay?”
“‘m not...injured.” Shakily, he adjusted the towel so it was wrapped around his waist, then gave in and grabbed onto Regris’ shoulder so that he could painstakingly step out onto the cold floor. “Don’t need th’...med bay. Doctor’s never did anything for me before. ‘cept tell me it was...just growing pains.”
Regris’ brow furrowed as he watched Keith slowly collect his clothing. “Well, what is it then, if you’re not injured? Ya look like somebody stabbed ya in the gut.”
“Your guess is as good as mine. Feels...kinda like somebody put concrete in all my bones.” He paused, thought about that comparison, then added, “But it’s expanding concrete.”
“I’ve no idea what ‘concrete’ is, but if ya feel that bad then maybe you should be restin’ in your room.”
Keith shook his head. “Got a mission soon. Need to get ready.”
Regris groaned. “Don’t be bone-headed Keith, ya can’t go on a mission like this.”
Turning his back, Keith started shuffling back toward the door. “Pretty sure the...Blade of Marmora doesn’t give...sick days.”
“Pretty sure the Blade of Marmora doesn’t want someone who can barely walk on a stealth mission!” Regris called to him just before the door slid shut.
He was right. He needed to get his act together. If Kolivan saw him like this, he’d kick him off the mission for sure, and then it wouldn’t be long before he was kicked out of the Blade altogether. Especially if he found out that this was a semi-regular occurrence.
Making it back to his room, he sat down on his bed and attempted to put on his uniform. Ten dobashes later, he had managed to get it over his legs and up to his waist, and had then fallen over sideways on the bed to fold up and shake some more. That’s when a knock came on the door. He jolted, thinking to try to sit up, but the door opened before he could.
“Regris informed me that you were feeling ill. I believe that he may have understated the severity of your condition.”
Quiznak. Why did stupid Regris have to go and get Kolivan?
“N-no, no, ‘m fine, I told him I was fine.” He pushed himself up much faster than he thought would be possible, avoiding eye contact with the towering Galra while he tugged his uniform up further. “I’m not sick. Just...a little sore.”
“Keith.” The severity of the tone made him glance up for just a moment, but he couldn’t hold the steady yellow gaze. “We have worked together for quite some time now. I have seen you after the hardest of training sessions, when older, more experienced Blades have thrown you to the floor and against the walls repeatedly. I have seen you after missions when you were shot, cut with a sword, or caught in an explosion. These things would all cause you to be more than ‘a little sore’.” He paused as if for effect. “Yet I have never seen you like this, barely able to leave your own bed. Clearly you are suffering from more than simple sore muscles.”
Keith clenched his jaw again, his arms wrapped tightly around his bare stomach. He wasn’t going to get away with lying. Kolivan would see through any of it, and he couldn’t even think of a believable excuse to give him.
“It’s nothing,” he finally said quietly. “Just this...pain, that I get from time to time. It’s not usually this bad. I can usually work through it.” He lifted his head. “And I can today, too. I know this mission’s important. I’ll make it happen.”
“What kind of pain?” Kolivan asked, his voice almost as soft, uncharacteristically so.
Keith shrugged, though he immediately regretted it. “In my bones...my muscles...feels like...they’re being compressed. Like there’s not enough room in my skin for what’s inside of it.”
Kolivan nodded solemnly, not speaking for a moment. Inwardly, Keith was beating himself up for allowing his secret to be found out, waiting for his leader to break the news that he could no longer be a Blade.
Instead, he crossed the room and sank down gently onto the bed next to Keith. “This has been going on for a long time, has it not?”
Keith nodded slowly, still expecting the worst. “My whole life. Or at least, as long as I can remember.” Countless foster families, social workers, and doctors had dismissed his pain, telling him that he was being overdramatic and exaggerating the intensity. Eventually he had learned not to tell anyone.
Kolivan hummed in thought. “As a full-blood Galra, myself, I do not know much about this phenomenon. But I have heard that it is, indeed, very painful.”
It took a moment for the full meaning of his words to sink in, and then Keith was too surprised to do more than stutter, “W-wait, what?”
“Growing pains,” Kolivan stated matter-of-factly, and for a tick Keith thought he was being dismissed again and he wanted to melt. “Many half-blood Galra struggle with it. It is much like you described - likely your bones are more like that of a Galra than a human, and are attempting to grow at the rate that matches. However, the outside of your body is very much human, and is holding them back.”
Keith just stared at him as his brain processed this information. Finally, somebody believed him. That in and of itself was almost too good to be true. And not only did he believe him, but he had answers? He knew why Keith was hurting? He still had so many questions, though, and wasn’t sure whether he could believe this quite yet.
“If...if it’s a half-Galra thing, then why didn’t Regris know what it was?”
“It all depends on not only what the other species is, but also what traits from each species you acquire from your parents. Others may struggle with different types of mixed blood related problems, while some, like Regris, seem to have no conflicts between their two halves. What you are experiencing is quite rare, but not so rare that I have not encountered it before.”
Biting down on his lip, Keith considered this. “Okay, but...I’m eighteen years old. Shouldn’t I be done growing by now?”
He could have sworn that Kolivan almost smiled at that, and kind of almost looked like he wanted to reach out and ruffle Keith’s hair. “In human years, maybe. By Galran standards you are still quite young, and Galra also continue growing well into their young adult years.”
Keith sighed heavily, hunching over himself further. “So in other words, I’ve still got a long time left to deal with this.”
“Unfortunately, yes.” Kolivan stood. “But if you will accompany me to the med bay, I believe we will be able to find something to help you, at least on these especially hard days.”
Keith grimaced. “Thanks, but pain medication doesn’t work for me. At least not for this.”
Kolivan leveled a knowing stare at him. “Keith, when was the last time that you tried pain medication for this?”
“Um…” He bit his lip, realizing the answer. “Before I found out I was Galra…?”
“As I thought.” Kolivan held out his hand. “Come. I will assist you to the med bay, and once you have taken your medication I want you to come back here and rest.”
“But the mission -”
“Will be handled by others.”
“Kolivan, I -”
“You are ill. We cannot afford to have anyone on a mission who is at less than their best.”
Keith stared down at the floor. “I know,” he whispered.
“There is no shame in taking care of your health. Everyone must do so from time to time.”
A spark of hope replaced his disappointment, and he looked back up. “You’re gonna let me stay?”
Kolivan’s brow furrowed. “Of course. You have yet to give me a reason not to.”
Relief washed over him. Someone believed him, he was getting help, and he wasn’t being kicked out. Maybe today wasn’t such a bad day after all.
------------------------------
A/N: And Kolivan managed to make Keith tell him that being cold made it worse, so he gave him a ton of blankets for his bed. The End.

Disclaimer: I don't own Voltron Legendary Defender.
Author Note: This is AU, where Thace, Ulaz, Antok, and Regris survived. Keith considers the BoM his pack, and they consider Keith and Regris their kits. This is Thulaz and Antolivan.
"Kit Keith"
Kit. Keith had been hearing that word a lot since he came to the Blade of Marmora headquarters. He didn't know what it meant. Maybe it was their way of saying human? They did say it to him or about him, instead of saying his name. He was 'the kit.' It was getting annoying not knowing what it truly meant though. Perhaps he could get it out of one of the Blades he routinely sparred with, Regris.
He skipped breakfast like he usually did and went straight to the training hall. He stepped into the familiar room and was surprised to find it empty. That was strange. There was usually someone in the room, no matter what time it was. Keith was a bit earlier than normal but didn't think that was a factor.
%%%
Kolivan, Antok, Thace, and Ulaz liked to think they were observant beings. There were only two lapses in judgement since Kolivan became leader of the Blades. Those two lapses resulted in Regris and Keith becoming Blade operatives when they were actually kits.
Speaking of the kits, only one was present for breakfast. Regris was sitting between Antok and Thace. It was his favorite spot, since he didn't like sitting between either pair of mates. After taking a bite of food, Regris looked around their table and then the hall, slightly confused. He swallowed and asked, "Where's Keith?"
Thace ran his hand down Regris's spine, a comforting motion. "We're not sure, kit. He's definitely on the base though."
"He better not be training," Antok grumbled. "The kit trains more than any other Blade."
Regris whined softly. He considered Keith a younger brother and didn't like the fact that he didn't act like a kit. Ulaz leaned across his mate and stroked Regris's headfur. "It's okay, kit. We'll find your brother. Just eat."
Regris went back to eating, earning him some pets from Antok. He briefly purred to him in between bites. Kolivan stood up. "I will go find our errant kit and bring him here. He needs to eat."
The leader of the Blade of Marmora was not usually one for searching for errant members. For him to volunteer to look for Keith, it meant that he was worried about him. Kolivan was indeed worried about Keith. He was too short, skinny, and skittish, especially for a kit. He was also way to proficient with a sword than kits even twice his age! In fact, kits Keith's age should still be prone to clinging to their parents and taking long naps.
Kolivan briefly stopped at the room Keith was originally assigned since it was on the way to the training hall. He knocked and called through the door, "Keith? Kit, are you in there?" After not receiving a reply, Kolivan said, "I'm opening the door."
He opened the door, revealing an empty room. Kolivan's ears drooped at the state of the room. He expected a messy room with a comfy nest in the middle, but what he saw was a room that barely looked lived in. The only thing that told Kolivan that this was someone's room was Keith's red and white jacket hanging in the closet and an extra pillow on the bed. It was so barren and cold, it hurt Kolivan's heart, and this being a kit's room made it hurt even more. Kits should be surrounded by soft things and pack members. Keith didn't have any of those things in his room.
Kolivan snagged Keith's jacket (and found his Marmoran uniform in the closet and taking it as well) and the extra pillow from the bed. He carried these things to his pack's nest room and set them to the side. The other kit was joining his pack; he didn't have a choice. The kit had to be suffering being alone. He made his way to the training hall, mentally berating himself for having another lapse in judgement. He thought the kit was okay and enjoying himself when he wasn't on missions, but that apparently wasn't what happened. The kit wasn't taking care of himself, which shouldn't have been a surprise given his age; he was a toddler, but Kolivan had thought that his human DNA had been in control more than his Galra DNA was. Apparently, it was only in appearance.
Kolivan entered the training hall and stopped when he saw the kit in question training. He knew he had been, having heard the clang of metal against metal from outside the room. He let the doors close behind him before he growled loudly.
%%%
Keith froze when he heard the growl, blocking the gladiator bot. He let his eyes flick over to where the growl originated from and was surprised to see Kolivan. Keith decided to quickly end the bot and see what his leader wanted. Keith sliced through the bot and sank to one knee. "Leader."
Kolivan stopped growling and approached Keith. "Rise, kit. Why are you in here so early? Everyone is still at breakfast."
"I don't usually eat breakfast."
"Kits should eat breakfast."
Keith paused. "What's a kit?"
Kolivan stared at Keith. "You don't know what a kit is?"
Keith shook his head. "I've heard the term many times, but no one ever told me what it meant."
"You never knew what it meant?" Kolivan swept Keith close and held him against his chest.
Keith closed his eyes and relished the contact. He liked how Kolivan was holding him. "No. What does it mean?"
"Kit is the term for a Galran child."
Keith opened his eyes and looked up at Kolivan. "But I'm not a child. I'm an adult on Earth."
"That may be true, but in Galran terms you are a small kit. Now, how long have you been training?"
"Uh, I woke up early. I don't really know how long I've been in here."
Kolivan nosed his hair and started grooming it. Keith froze before he relaxed against him.  "That feels good."
Kolivan didn't say anything, just kept licking his hair for a couple more doboshes. Keith felt his eyes close, and he started purring. Kolivan wasn't that surprised to hear the kit purring. Most kits liked getting groomed; he figured Keith wasn't any different. When he was done grooming, Kolivan scooped up the kit, who was half asleep. "Come along, kit. The others are waiting for us to join them at breakfast."
"So...sleepy."
Kolivan paused. It wouldn't do to have the kit eat when he didn't have the energy to stay awake, but it also wasn't good for the kit to miss a meal, especially when he was so skinny in the first place. Kolivan pulled out his data pad and typed out a message to his pack to make a plate for Keith and bring it to the nest. He didn't wait for the inevitable reply. He put his data pad back into his pocket and secured his hold on the now dozing kit. He carried Keith out of the training hall and into the nest room. He stepped into the nest and sat down, reclining in the nest. He settled Keith on his chest, stroked his hair, and softly rumbled to him.
The door to the nest room opened, admitting the other four members of his pack. Thace held a container in his claws, clearly it was meant for Keith. He placed it on the table before entering the nest with the rest of the pack behind him. They gathered around Kolivan and Keith.
"Is he okay?" Regris asked.
"He was training again. He grew tired when I groomed him. I only intended to get the sweat out of his hair before going to breakfast, but being such a young kit, it was inevitable. Speaking of which, he didn't know what the word kit meant."
"He didn't know? We have been calling him a kit since we found out," Ulaz mentioned.
"He asked what it meant when I called him kit. He was insisting that he was an adult on Earth. Antok, could you hand me that pillow? The one with Keith's jacket."
Antok snagged the pillow with his tail and handed the soft, red, round pillow to his mate. He watched as Kolivan put the pillow next to the kit. "Where is the rest of the kit's stuff?"
Kolivan's ears drooped at his mate's question. "That's all he has. He didn't have a nest. His room was as barren and empty as it was before he was assigned to it."
"What? Why?" Regris looked distressed.
"Because I was launched into space with nothing but the clothes on my back and whatever I had in my utility packs." Keith cracked an eye open before he saw his pillow. He snatched it up and hugged it to his chest. "Where am I?"
Kolivan carded his claws through Keith's hair. "You fell asleep back in the training hall when I groomed your hair, so I took you back to the nest I share with my pack. We want you to be a part of our pack."
"Pack?"
"It's like a family, kit," Thace answered. "You need a pack. It's one of those Galra needs that you deny yourself of, one of many."
"Wha-?" Keith was fighting to keep his eyes open.
"Shh, kit. It's okay. Get some rest. We'll talk when you've rested," Kolivan stroked Keith's hair some more.
Antok laid down beside Kolivan with Regris in his lap. Regris snuggled closer to Keith and wrapped his tail around his right leg. Antok's tail was wrapped around his mate's waist. On Kolivan's other side was Thace and Ulaz, the latter on the former's lap. Thace was nuzzling Ulaz's neck and stroking Keith's cheek. Kolivan knew his pack was going to need to take the rest of the day off to tend to their new kit's needs. They also needed to stop by a space mall soon in order to get more supplies, not just for the base but for Keith as well. The kit was going to be taken care of; Kolivan was going to make sure of that.

I needed to draw human Regris again. Even when not acting like a ninja, his shaggy hair still covers and he wears a mask. It’s his everyday look. Perfect.  Also, Katie’s scuffs/bruising and broken glasses, it takes place after this prior piece. She probably met up with Regris after that moment and he ended up walking her home. Good lad.
Anyway, I hope y’all enjoy this one.  Until next time!
Edit.  I forgot the slight blush to Regris. My starting had him blushing. So, it’s fixed. He finds Katie adorable.

Subtle
Rating: T
Pairing: Kolivan/Keith
Warnings: Some alien biology, that’s about it
CH: 1/1
A/N: fic/art trade with the wonderful @kolikeith. They requested anything koliveith where another member realizes they are together, which I am only happy to provide!
Regris hates mornings.
It is anunspoken gripe that he has held for what feels like decaphoebs. The Blade of Marmora are early risers by necessity no matter the cycle nor the system. Their latest missions have lead them into systems that have a cycle much shorter than Regris is used to, and as a result they have been sleeping less often and waking more. The sporadic few vargas of sleep they all have managed has been wearing on his team.
Duty first, Kolivan would tell him. Ah, what he would do to sleep in.
“Quiznak,” he swears, vaulting out of bed in one fluid movement. He thwaps his tail against his bedframe in irritation as he makes quick work of his bed and then heads into their communal bathroom space. The other blades are already up and about as he makes his way to the bathroom to wipe his body clean of the moisture it produced overnight. He feels naked without his suit, but it would not make sense to dirty his clothing first thing in the morning.
“Regris,” Antok says as he passes. He is a blade of few words, but some of them he reserves for Regris. They have a strange sort of companionship not found within many of the blade ranks stationed here.
“Did Kolivan mention anything about the data we’ve been decoding?” Regris asks him, getting straight to the point. Antok eats early, and so does Kolivan, and usually Keith if he isn’t trying to get killed on some suicide mission.
Antok shrugs his shoulders. Regris’ tail swings behind him.
“You’re useless,” he says without meaning it, leaving Antok to finish his morning routine and wash his body clean.
To his surprise, he sees Keith leaning against the wall out in front of the communal space, wearing what he can only assume is the human equivalent to sleepwear. Humans have an affinity for dressing in loose clothing at night.
Regris is about to offer him a greeting when Kolivan comes out of the bathroom’s entrance, tugging at the wrists of his suit like he has just finished putting it on. He moves out of the doorway and looms over Keith, saying something quietly to him that has Keith smiling.
Regris stops moving. His tail thrashes behind him. Kolivan does not bathe often, and he is always early. Regris can count on one claw how many times they have met like this. He doesn’t particularly want to awkwardly shuffle past the pair, but the wet state of his skin is bothering him now more than ever.
Someone catches Kolivan’s attention. He steps away from Keith hastily to address them, and Keith looks around like he is surprised to find that they are in public.
When he catches sight of Regris, his face starts to turn pink. Regris cocks his head.
“Keith,” he says on approach. “Have you had a chance to check on the decoding algorithm that we’ve been running? Kolivan wouldn’t let me spend the night with it.”
“Because he knew you’d never leave,” Keith points out. Regris doesn’t point that if he stays up, he doesn’t have to war his way through every morning. He is looking forward to the day they can eradicate sleep entirely. “And no, I haven’t. Everyone on team echo is busy preparing for Kral Zera.”
Kral Zera. The ceremony meant to repair the broken empire. The ceremony that the blades are going to sabotage with a dozen bombs and take out the highest in their ranks.
“I’ll check on it later,” Regris says, and then he awkwardly shuffles past Keith and Kolivan to get to the bathroom.
---
Regris’ concern is always his code. Data. Interpersonal relationships are the furthest thing from his mind when he’s focused on a mission, but even Kral Zera has him rattled.
It is in the middle of the cycle, while a huge batch of data is being processed that he decides to take a rare break and head towards the cafeteria for some food. His stomach helpfully reminds him he skipped breakfast by growling loudly.
He is nearing the cafeteria when he catches the scent of Keith wafting from the other end of the hall. He picks up his pace, eager to find Keith and enumerate over the details of the Kral Zera mission.
When he turns the corner, he is once again surprised by the presence of Kolivan. Lately, the two of them have been appearing together more often than not, their scents intermingling in a way that Regris does not like. Or at the very least, he isn’t certain how to take. It is true that Keith is a valued member of the blades, but his days of being a vratling following its mother are over.
He watches them speak indistinctly, noting the downturn of Keith’s mouth to mean that the conversation is not going well. He lifts his arms in a gesture of expression his frustration, then points in a random direction. His voice echoes a little louder, but Regris still can’t make it out.
“I have been looking for you, Keith,” Regris says upon approach. Both of them turn to stare at him, and he inexplicably feels as though he is intruding. He salutes Kolivan. “I had some questions about the mission for Kral Zera.”
“You are not the only one,” Kolivan tells him. “I had intended to summon the entire team, but since you’re already here, I’ll speak freely.”
“Of course.” Regris inclines his head.
“I was just discussing with Keith how the mission is critical, and that we cannot let our emotions get the better of us.”
Keith scowls openly as Kolivan remains tense beside him. He is standing much closer than the spacious hallway would warrant, but Regris is not one to question.
“Of course,” Regris repeats, looking between them uncertainly. “The mission first.”
“At least you remember it,” Kolivan says, sounding quite unlike himself for a moment. He’s looking at Keith.
“We’re going to be fine,” Keith insists calmly. For all of Kolivan’s talk of holding back one’s emotions, he seems….distraught.
“My simulations have confirmed this is the best course of action,” Regris adds. Kolivan’s expression does not change, his scent sharp with unease. “They will be distracted by the goings-on above, and the entire sector will be guarded by a ghost staff.”
“For once we will benefit from the Galra Empire’s brutality,” Kolivan says, sounding resigned. “I know you will both perform…admirably.”
“Like we always do. We’ll get it done.” Keith turns to Kolivan. “This is going to work.”
“I am not concerned with the mission’s success,” Kolivan states, staring down at Keith. His fingers brush against Keith’s side, and Regris wants to point out there is plenty of space to his right.
“I’ll be returning to my data sets,” Regris says.
“Let me know what you find,” Kolivan tells him, his eyes flicking briefly in his directly before he returns to Keith.
---
Regris doesn’t see Keith alone until a few days later, right before the mission is meant to start.
The first thing he notes is the smell.
Not his smell, but the scent coating his person. It is obviously Kolivan’s. They have been spending much more time together as of late prepping for the mission, so it is not entirely surprising. They eat lunch together often as well, and Keith can be found in Kolivan’s office on any quintant.
“Ready?” Regris asks. Keith nods, and then Regris can’t help but add, “Kolivan appears worried this time around. My simulations and datasets didn’t calm him like they usually do.”
“Yeah,” Keith replies slowly, pulling his hood over his head. “He’s…distracted, I think. Talk about an emotional wreck,” he mumbles under his breath, in a tone that Regris assumes Keith thinks he cannot hear.
“We’ll be fine,” he adds. “It’s a big mission, but isn’t it always? We’ve been through worse.”
Even though it doesn’t sound like Keith is talking to him, Regris nods.
“And another thing—”
“Keith.”
Kolivan’s voice suddenly sounds from beside them. Neither of them flinch at the sharp tone of his voice, too used to surprises as a spy unit, but Keith’s eyes instantly light up.
“Kolivan!” he says, stepping forward. He pulls his hood down. “Aren’t you supposed to be briefing team alpha?”
“Yes, I was. I just finished. As if I could leave without my echo,” he says fondly. Regris’ tail flicks behind him. His scent wafts over; he smells like Keith smells like him.
Ah, he thinks as he watches Kolivan take Keith’s braided hair in hand, making some excuse that he has done it incorrectly. Recently, Keith had decided to grow a braid. Regris is a Galra half-breed, and since he does not grow hair, its significance often escapes him.
He watches Kolivan stroke his fingers down the length in an intimate gesture and thinks, ah.
“Ah,” he says out loud.
Kolivan jerks like he just realizes Regris is there. He was near the doorway, shadowed partially, so it is possible. Apparently, many things are possible.
And now Kolivan is staring at him like he wants to murder him. As if he were to blame for his flagrant display of affection. Regris swallows, then gestures to his pad. “I was just reviewing the data with Keith.”
“The data. Yes.” He clears his throat. “Very well. I would like to hear about it. Please continue.”
Keith’s face is pink again. As the pieces are still slowly coming together, Regris remembers vaguely that it is an indicator for embarrassment, or perhaps happiness?
“If you look at this diagram, it should be easy for our spies to hide here, and then with our blades they can slice through the metal wall after arriving here…”
All the while he speaks, Kolivan stands closer to Keith than is socially acceptable among the hierarchy. Then, when Regris moves to scribble at his pad and correct a mistake, out of the corner of his eye he sees Kolivan lean down, and Keith lean up.
“I have corrected the mistake,” he announces loudly. When he lifts his head, they are both looking at him innocently. He says nothing to the pair—they will hear enough later once this gets out, but his tail swings gently back and forth, and for once he hopes that there will be a peaceful end to this adventure soon.
Mostly, so he can sleep in one morning. For once.

Return || @dollxcage
It had been a few weeks, 2 or maybe 3, M-21 didn't care how many but that was already too much for him. He knew this mission was important to Lukas and M didn't want to let them go but it had to be done. Apparently there was some information that could be useful to them all, Lukas stating that there are places that still don't know that he had drifted from Union and still gave him access. Blames the poor management and laziness since it's such a small place with little to no information stored there, but access to the important stuff was always present. Location and anything else wasn't given in order to protect them all in case things go south but M still wasn't happy. He tried to argue with the others telling them how they couldn't leave Lukas alone. He didn't question their genius, but he was concerned about Union members finding out everything else. What if Lukas was captured? What if they were turned into an experiment like he was? No, no, no! M didn't even want to think about it. He's been there and even if they were enemies when they first met, they were no longer after each other. No, they were something else.
Still, M didn't want to let the other go but he was outnumbered and the mission was approved. No back up to be sent in order to protect the household, including himself but M didn't care about himself in that moment, that wasn't important. He’s worried for Lukas, Union had monsters as fighters, what would happen if they decided to attack and possibly even-no he didn't want to think about it.
He was mad at first as preparations were being done, the decision being concluded with the date of departure just two days later. M was mad, oh so mad that for once he dismissed himself from the meeting they were having and told them all not to wait for him when dinner time came. He didn't want to see anyone, he was mad at the others for letting Lukas be placed in a dangerous situation but he was more so upset with himself and not being able to do anything about it. The logic side of him kept telling himself that things will work out, that Lukas has everything under control but M didn't listen. Is this fear? I don't want to-no, not anyone else. Why is this happening? This is Union we're talking about!
He made it home just in time to see Lukas off, any arguments he wanted to voice to make him stay M kept inside. There was a look of determination in Lukas and he didn't want to shatter that, no matter how much he didn't want this mission to be done.
"I'll check in every 24-48 hours, Tao and I worked everything out. I'll take as much information as I can, from everyone, especially Crombell." M didn't like that even more, Crombell was the source of all his pain. Not just his but-
"Be careful." was all he could say and before he knew it Lukas was gone.
Several weeks have passed since then, but Lukas's check-ins stopped 4 days ago. This scared M-21 more than anything. Was Luksas caught? Worse, what if Crombell was there? There was no way he wouldn't know, Crombell was a sneaky bastard and just like he kept the info about him and M-24 Crombell probably knew and was waiting for Lukas to return. Perhaps it was all a trap? M-21 didn't know what to think but he also had no leads. Tao said he wouldn't track from where the messages were coming from since that could lead to exposing them in the process. Frankenstein had told them all to wait, concerned laced in his words but someone had to be calm about this. M usually could keep his cool, but Crombell was involved so there was no way that was possible. Still, M not being able to do anything else was making him feel restless and agitated. Perhaps that's why he was told by Regris to take a walk and instead of giving him a sassy remark like always M just left the house. He had no where in mind to go but he decided to end up at the beach. One of his first outings with the other, it was a fun relaxing day if he was honest and he hoped that it wasn't the last time they would both be out together like that.
As he enjoyed the ocean's breeze there was movement behind him. He turns around quickly and presumes a fighting stance, it was 3 am and no normal human would be out this late in the cold. Only few individuals like M-21 were crazy enough.
"Who's there?! Show yourself!?" The movement just continued until a silhouette came into view. M was ready to fight but once the moonlight hit the new comer he froze. Putting claws away he stepped closer to make sure he wasn't seeing things. "Lukas?" he questioned, hesitant to even ask but he wasn't thinking clearly to begin with.
"Hello." he got in response and before anything else can be said M ran. He ran towards the other, lunging himself at Lukas not minding if they both end up dusty from the dirt they both landed on. He wraps his arms around the other and enjoys the warmth that is still present. "Stupid idiot." he manages to voice. Though he notices a second later that he's crying, he's not really sure why but he was crying. He's only ever cried 3 times, 4 with this. "You idiot." he repeats. His heart is racing and he thinks he's shivering a bit but he blames is on the cool air. "You're okay, we didn't get a message and I, I-", I was worried, I was scared, his mind supplies but he can't really bring himself to voice his thoughts. "Don't ever do that again. No one heard anything from you." He expected the worse, but he still clung to hope. "Are you okay?" he manages to ask, even though his mind was racing like crazy. Still, before a response was given he lets go of Lukas helping him sit up properly. He didn't know if there were injuries present. M, you're an idiot. "Sorry about that," he mumbles. "I was worried, I realized after all this time that you've been a constant in my life. Not hearing from you, it made me scared to lose you. I've lost a lot Lukas, I don't want to lose you either. Just, stay with me okay?" he manages to ask. He tried his best to clean his face up, but perhaps he made it worse going by the dirt he tastes.
"It's a silly thought and I know I'm being selfish but just this once I want to grab onto something, someone and not let them go. So, you're kind of stuck with me now, I don't take no for an answer." He looks towards Lukas, happy to see them alive, to see their shining eyes and know that they're still warm and not cold. "So, what do you say?"

What I'm Dreaming of

Lance hadn’t meant to end up here. His parents probably hadn’t meant to meet Ulaz either. But here he was sat across from his Galra Dad? Parent? Relative? He still was unclear on how Ulaz came into how he was born but he was too scared to ask the stoic Galra and mortified to ask his parents which one of them got busy with an alien.
One thing was certain, that was, his teeth were a little too sharp to be a human and his body, at the ripe age of twenty-six was ending some weird and inexplicable Galra puberty. That left him slightly too tall to match the lanky McClain clan (and other strange and unspeakable changes like kind of pointy ears or a tail that Lance preferred to keep wrapped up under his pants, most concerning about this was that Ulaz did not appear to have one).

Keith & Kolivan
Kolivan stood in the comms room of the ship, tense, as he always was, while he waited for the team of blades to make contact.
He wished they wouldn’t, because it meant someone was in trouble, and he despised leaving any of his blades behind.
A few minutes later, the reason for his dread became a reality.
“Sir” the Blade that was sitting in front of the computers turned to him “a comm is trying to establish a connection. It seems to be Keith’s”
“Let him through”
The comm opened, but no one spoke.
“Keith? Status report. Did you get the intel?”
A moment passed
“Huh? Oh hey, Kolivan”
His voice was clear, but there was something clearly wrong.
“Did you get the intel” Kolivan repeated.
“Oh yeah… but I think there’s something wrong. You see, I’m sitting in a pool of blood”
“Is it… your blood?”
“I think so”
“Well, where is it coming from?”
“The stab wound?”
“You were stabbed?!”
A grunt.
“Oh yeah, definitely”
Kolivan might have- well, not laughed, maybe smiled- at the slightly comical conversation, but he was too worried to even think about it.
“Sir, the blades need to get here in 6 doboshes, we won’t be able to wait longer”
Kolivan nodded in understanding.
“Keith, can you get to the meeting place on time?”
He expected Keith to say no, and he could already see the paladins’ faces when he told them that Keith had not made it back.
“Yeah… I think so”
Kolivan’s eyes widened in shock
“What?”
Keith grunted in response, and in his mind’s eye he could see Keith, struggling to stand up, surrounded by blood, and promptly falling down again.
But it didn’t happen.
Through the comms, it sounded as if Keith was running, panting
“I’m on my way”
Kolivan stood, stunned, as the other blades opened the comms too, reporting that they were on they’re way.
The other blades ran in 4 doboshes left, giving the galra controlling the comms the chips that contained the intel.
“2 doboshes left”
Kolivan’s heart sank. Keith wasn’t going to make it.
“I’m coming” came in Keith’s exhausted voice.
One dobosh.
30 ticks.
10 ticks.
The doors started closing, and the saw a figure running towards them, more like stumbling rapidly.
The other blades stood tense around him, waiting for the smallest blade.
He made it.
With a tick to spare, Keith slipped through the doors as they closed, and a few of his comrades sagged in relief. Kolivan didn’t have the luxury to look relieved. He was their commander, he couldn’t show emotional attachment.
Keith’s mask disappeared. He met Kolivan’s eyes and gave him a bloody grin. He walked past him, using him for a moment as support, leaving a bloody handprint.
He staggered to the officer who stood by the comms, leaving a trail of blood on the floor, and handed him the chips.
Once he’d done that, he turned, looking at them all.
His side was bleeding heavily.
“Right…” he swayed on the spot “I’m gonna need a trip to the infirm-“
He collapsed forwards, but Kolivan had been ready for it.
He caught him and lowered him gently to the floor, pressing his hands on the gaping hole on his right side.
“Call headquarters!” He barked to no one in particular “make sure they have a medical team ready”
Regris, a young blade that, if he remembered correctly, had become a good friend of Keith’s, crouched beside him, a towel in his hands that was more effective at stopping the bleeding than his hands.
It was soaked within ticks.
Two days later, Kolivan was informed that Keith had finally woken up, and that we would be ready to go out into the field within a movement, two, if Kolivan had anything to say about it. And he did.
He walked to the infirmary, finding Keith propped up in one of the beds, pale, but otherwise alright.
Keith gave him a faint smile, too tired to do more than that.
“Thank you for saving my life, sir” Kolivan scoffed, choosing to remain standing a few steps away from the bed. He knew Keith didn’t like it when people towered over him.
“Don’t be ridiculous, you saved yourself”
Keith shrugged.
“About that… there’s something I wanted to ask you”
“Yes, sir?”
“Just how did you manage to come back? You were hurt badly, but yet you managed to run back”
Keith shrugged, as if it were unimportant
“Adrenaline was still going strong, but I could feel it wearing off when I was almost to the ship”
“What is this adrenaline you speak of?”
Keith’s eyes widened
“You guys don’t have that? But I’ve seen galra get hurt and still fight”
“Galra are strong species, it is difficult to injure us fatally”
“Huh” Keith didn’t speak more for a few moments, seeming to be lost in thought.
“Adrenaline” he finally said “is a… drug you might say, that our brains release when we’re in danger, that helps us to fight even when we’re hurt. We’re a bit more fragile than galra, you could say”
Kolivan’s eyes widened, but schooled his face into a more neutral expression when it made Keith smile in amusement.
“Humans are… strange creatures” he sighed, running a hand through his face.
The more he learned about humans, the more bizarre they seemed.
“I have to get going” Keith nodded
Kolivan mentally hesitated, before he reached out and patted the smallest blade’s head, which seemed to amuse Keith.
“Rest, little blade”
Keith, for once in his life, obeyed.
...
I like how this turned out, what do you think?

Ninja AU, while not being written at the moment, has some thoughts. Including Regris, one of Katie’s friends, a ninja, and a bit protective over his small friend.  Coming up with Regris’ human design was interesting. All I could imagine for him was shaggy hair, typically keeping his eyes covered (but sometimes one shows), a mask, and a hood. So, here I am, adding some Blade of Marmora touches for him.  HIs hair is actually the colour of his tail in VLD, but lighting changed it quite a bit.
Anyway, I hope y’all enjoy this one! Until next time!
