You broke Seungcheol's glasses again. It was never intentional, of course. It might even be his fault for leaving them under the blankets, knowing fully well you would jump in without a second thought.

You weren't thinking about that as you wiggle the side and watch it separate beyond any superglue's powers. He had just bought them too.

It wasn't that he couldn't afford new ones, nicer ones. Heck, he could buy out the company if he really wanted. But this wasn't the first time this had happened. You had also sat on the last ones and pushed the ones before that off the bedside in your sleep.

Seungcheol had been a dream every time the same calamity has happened, not even sparing the broken pieces a glance before asking if there were shards of glass and if they hurt you.

You weren't betting on him being too nice this time, seeing as he's already in a horrible mood after a bad dance practice.

"Y/n, have you seen my glasses?" This would normally be the time you would nag at him for leaving his stuff in random spots he can never find, but alas, you had put yourself in this predicament and needed to get yourself out.

"Cheollie, I might have broken them," You say, as you walk outside to where you find him trying to fix yourselves a snack.

He turns around at the sound of your voice, his hair is still wet from his shower, Tee also a little wet from the droplets.

You aren't sure if it's your guilty conscious, but you really want him to hold you rigt now.

"Oh" is all he says, turning back around to close the open cabinet.

"Are you hurt? Did you sit on them again?" He asks coming over to inspect the damage.

"What did I do to deserve you?" It's a severely misplaced comment, one that he laughs a little at nonetheless. You didn't mean to say it, but he was going beyond what you'd thought he'd react like already, and the love just comes flowing out.

"What? Because I asked if you were okay? Basic human decency, don't you think?" He says as he places (what once were) his glasses on the counter and takes you in his arms instead.

"Fuck the glasses, I had a long day I just wanna hold you for eternity" he exaggerates, enticing a giggle from you.

His muscles relax into you as he breathes in your scent, there's a quite literal feeling of elation as he registers that he's actually done for the day. He's associated you with calm and refuge, and it shows when there's seemingly nothing you could do or say that registers as wrong.

In this moment, he knows how you feel, that there's a part of you that's thanking your lucky stars. Which you are, as you wonder how you managed to find someone like him.

He'd hate to break it to you, but when someone like you needs only to exist to fix his every problem, it can only be him that's the lucky one.

It's okay. It's okay to let yourself cry. It's okay to crawl in bed, drown on the ocean of sadness thinking about how Palestinians have been going through all of this for more than 75+ years. It's okay to be in a state of grief. You know why? Because it means your heart is still functioning properly. It means your humanity is still intact and you are still soulful. Don't let those naysayers convince you that crying is a sign of weakness. It is not—it's in fact a sign of strength. As you watch a fucking genocide unfolds rigt in front if your eyes, let your tears stream down your cheeks. Let yourself feel frustrated and enraged as you remember the silence, cowardice, and indifference of people about Palestinian cause. It's okay. Let yourself feel all these emotions. But don't allow yourself to be on the verge of hopelessness. Give some time for yourself to feel things and process everything, but then please, come back. Come back stronger and get back on track. Keep talking about Palestine. Keep spreading awareness. Keep educating yourself and the people around you about Palestinian cause. Keep yourself updated to what's going on in Gaza and in the West Bank. Keep learning and learning and learning. Palestinians are still being occupied, slaughtered, tortured, and starved to death so please don't ever give up. Keep yourself going, okay? FROM THE RIVER TO THE SEA PALESTINE WILL BE FREE 🇵🇸🤍

My favourite facts about crimean tatars:

The first ever institution of higher education on the territory of modern Ukraine was founded in Crimea: it was medrese of Khan Uzbek, founded in 1333. Currently only ruins remain of the building.

Crimean tatar women were the first in the islamic world to get the rigt to vote.

In 1917, the first Crimean tatar Kurultay (something alike to democratically elected parilament) included women.

Moscow used to pay tribute to the Crimean Khanate :)

In 2021, Örnek, the traditional crimean tatar orniament, was included in the UNESCO's list of intangible cultural heritage of humanity. (Learn more here and look at the beautiful examples)

One of the most prominent human rights' activists on the territory of USSR was a crimean tatar Mustafa Abdülcemil oğlu Cemilev. He spent 15 years in prisons for this. He would later become the head of Mejlis (the highest governmental organ of crimean tatars) and is currently a member of ukrainian parliament.

2016 Eurovision winner, Susana Alimivna Jamaladinova, better known by her stage name Jamala, is a crimean tatar.

Maidan, which is the general word with which ukrainian call the anti-governmental protests, is a crimean tatar word.

Cheburek is a national crimean tatar dish.

Home of some of Seattles *scariest* humans. What started off in 1923 as a lonely older woman taking kids in off the streets , giving them shelter, food and water, she cared for each and every one of them as her own, well those little kids didn't stay kids for long and once old lady Bertha Moonrose passed away in their early teens those teen boys turned to the only thing they knew would help them, the local gangs. Some of them wanted to keep the Hotel open to the public as they got older taking it over as a front as they became more involved into the g@ng life, over the years the Moonrose family has grown has become to what it is now. Jonny Moonrose a great -great grandchild of one of the original children had struck a deal with the local police, they keep quiet when it comes to Hotel Moonrose.

Quick thoughts on Atla's bending

Been rewatching Avatar tla lately, and after book 1 had some thoughts. not so flashed out as to have a discussion about it, for that i'll wait till i finished it again.

In my opinion, Whenever the avatar series tries to explain the nature and origin of bending, and of things in general, is where it fumbles the most. Like, while watching, it all flows so elegantly most of the time and you don't really need to know why it works this way; sure, mostly it's because is almost never the focus of the story, but there's also this implicit "it is what it is" sensation that to me makes it work.

then they try to explain it with ancient animals, cosmic entities, spirit, kites, and so on, and it all...clashes badly. like, i always get the feeling that each bending domain is its own world with its own origin, properties and rules.

This alone should not be bad, it's good that each bendins is its own thing, but...i think they all lack a common ground on which you can judge them, everytime we analyze a bending domain we kinda have to reinvent the wheel.

Things like the moon being the perpetual source of the water bending and the sun of the fire's (let's not think about how that's in contradiction with korra's lore), while earth and air are just there chilling, never sat rigt with me despite being good a moving the plot forward.

In general, i think bending, the forces of nature and of the spirit world, should have remained a partially unexplained mystery. Some people in this world are able to extert control onto elements. why? for the same reason there are wolf bats, because yes. the mastery of this powers then comes from watching and learning from animals that use it, like bisons, dragon, moles and a better one for water that isn't the moon.

If you don't feel reason to explain why badgermoles and bison are able to bend their elements, why are you compelled to do it for humans?

The avatar is just someone who for some reason is able to master all of them, and over time has gained a legendary status. is the avatar an arbiter of balance appointed by the forces of nature and the spirits in the world? maybe, who knows, they could also just be a genetic/spiritual mutation or exception; all we know is true is that they have this power.

Would this kill part of the original series plot? yea, it would and would need to be heavily rewritten, which i'd be not opposed to.

Then again, it's not like there could not be cool stories around the origin of things, but these writers have proven many times already to not be really able to come up with really interesting ideas and to weave them into the world seamlessly, at least to me.

Started with only a handful and ended with about 30 people in a suburb of Buffalo. We got flipped off a few times (mostly men) but we were showered with support from tons of people of all genders. I actually lasted almost two hours with a great bunch of people (with supportive men, too!)

Abortion is healthcare, and healthcare is a right. We need to stop those who think they have the right to make choices for other people's lives/bodies. Idc who you are or what your religion says. Not your body, no opinion. 

Making abortions illegal won't stop them. It will only cause them to be unsafe and deadly. The United States has the highest maternal mortality rate among industrialized countries. Banning abortions is not going to help that number. 

Guns should not have more rights than people who can get pregnant.
