since you seem interested in the "kokushibo adopts the totiko twins au" Ive decided to bombard you with some more of my thoughts on it (so sorry)

-I imagine kokushibo feels guilty for leaving his children and loves the totiko children to make up for that guilt. Still, when the twins ask about his children since they are naturally curious about there lineage, he lies to them and says that he was a good father so he hasn't partially taken the blame for it.

-However despite "hating his brother" he always tells the totiko stories about him, usually at first talking about his poweress, until later digressing into funny stories about him when they were kids because he like seeing yui and mui laugh.

-He sees the twins in different ways. yui he sees more in himself, the older more protective and harsher twin. In mui, he sees yoriichri, which I imagine makes him instinctly more protective of him even though he denies it.

-Yui loves most of the uppermoons specifically gyuratro when he com es out ad mui absolutely hates gyokko and has beef with him. Both decided that akaza is their designated favorite besides kokushibo obviously.

Okay uhm anyways, yes the first one you said is basically my motive for him aswell Yoriichi prob said smtg to him before he died of old age like "I'm sorry for bringing you into this brother, if I didn't maybe you would live a happy life with your wife and kids.." and then say something after like "I envy you brother... You got to have a nice family.. though I am very happy for you.." and that's how Kokushibo felt horrible for leaving his kids in some way, but still "hates" Yoriichi. And so, after that he watches his family from afar, seeing his bloodline grow one by one, to Yui and Mui, and seeing a demon go to their house and save them was Parental instinct 😭😭😭

And yes I also thought he would tell stories of Yoriichi and how powerful he is, all of his accomplishments, etc. He still feels very conflicted about Yoriichi still but seeing Yui and Mui warms him for some reason 🥺

I THINK THE SAME WAY TOO LIT IT RUNS IN THE BLOOD, THE OLDER TWIN IS THE HARSH TWIN AND THE YOUNGER TWIN IS THE SOFT TWIN HHHHH 🥺😭

I also thought of their interactions with Upper Moons! But it's for the ones were Koku turns them both demons! I would find their interactions like this if they're both humans:

Doma: Since I'm sure they'll be 11 y.o. they would probably scared of him but think his eyes are pretty, and Doma would also love to play with them! Though Kokushibo really probably doesn't trust him but he knows that if he trusts the twins in Doma's care, the twins would have a safe and cozy place like the paradise and would provide food from his followers, plus Doma is second strongest after him, he trusts that Doma will protect them quickly. If the Twins aren't Demon slayers then they'll probably have a really good time with Doma, especially if Doma makes them ice statues of them!

Akaza: He would reluctantly do cause yk... Kokushibo and all that but I think he'll get along with them a lot later on, Akaza would probably show a very softer side of him to the twins and maybe train them a little.

Hantengu and His clones: I think they would make flowercrowns for Hantengu 🥺! I think the twins would atleast once make fun of his appearance and lump on his forehead but since Hantengu cries a lot the twins would feel bad afterwards and make it up to him by making flowercrowns!!! (They would probably still pick on him but not a much lol). For the clones, Urogi and Karaku would be the very playful ones, while Sekido and Aizetsu wouldn't be as much but would try their best.

Gyokko: HAHAHAHAHA OH BOY I KNOW THEY'LL MAKE FUN OF HIM A LOT, ESP FOR HIS ART SKHDKSJDKS- Kokushibo rlly need to cut off the fights and protect the twins from Gyokko. Also since they keep insulting his art, Gyokko would do all he can to pull smthing outta his pot to atleast impress them PFFT- I thought of a scenario that he thought to put one of his fish minions in his water prison pot and that's the "art" the tokito twins will be interested in, and Gyokko would snap and yell at them saying something like, "YOU BRATS, THAT'S THE THING YOU'RE IMPRESSED AT??? IT'S SO SIMPLE AND BORING, YOU BOTH HAVE NO TASTE WHATSOEVER!!!"

Daki and Gyutaro: I think they'll get a long well! Since they are siblings too! Daki would prob dress and make up Mui and Yui pretty lmao, and take them around the entertainment district haha- Idk abt Gyutaro but he would try his best, he would probably find it difficult since Daki is the only sibling he's had and she turned out to be like... That cuz of Gyutaro, so he'll need to find other ways. But I think the twins would be happy around them!!!

Enabled and inspired by @pinkyjulien @humberg @arcandoria @breezypunk @kharonion and everyone else who's done something similar XD My little VP and modding journey featuring Vince and Kerry over the last few months!

So, I figure, most of you can relate to my disappointment when I realized at the end of my first playthrough that there's so little interaction possible with the main NPCs outside of their respective questlines. The text messages your LI sends you are adorable, yes. Being able to sleep in their bed and then waking up next to them? A+ game design, 100/100, every game with romances needs this. But where is my option to hug, kiss, spend time with Kerry? Rude!!

Still though, I was undeterred to create some shots for my new favourite blorbos with my vanilla game (I had never heard of AMM then (or at least was too chickenshit still to install it)).

Behold, my first attempts at creating something shippy (and I do still like these a lot) - title: Kerry meets Nibbles.

The idea behind this is probably kinda self-explainatory XD I had these as desktop background for so long, it feels so nostalgic to look back at them now. I think I have some slightly edited versions somewhere but cannot find them for the life of me, but there's no big difference really, just some slight colour/contrast editing.

I was always a bit bummed out by the fact that Kerry's default outfit for idling at the villa is the one with sunglasses on (while over the progression of his questline he wears it less and less as he gets to know V better, as if he is letting his guard down). But oh well! Also yes, that was and still is my favourite photomode pose for V really, because it is very versatile:

But that's... really it when it comes to opportunities for shippy moments outside of the quests.

2023/Feb/09

I was yearning for more!! As you can see, these are only 3 days apart. I had done some research and learned about the "[NPC] Interactions Enhanced" mods that I highly recommend for the options to kiss and hug your LIs alone :3 And! More shippy shot opportunities, because Kerry will finally be somewhere else in his huge-ass villa besides the sofa or the bed, and take off those beloathed sunglasses:

Hhhh.... I can't tell you how happy I was about this shot. I remember yelling to my friends on Discord about it half in tears (none of them really knowing much about the game yet apart from my occasional screaming about all the angst and plot twists). I think I described it as "Vince finally feeling some actual, real happiness, daring to imagine a future", just content and relaxed, having a late night talk with Kerry. I still like it a lot, and because of the mod enabling me to take this pic I still low-key wanna look into quest-modding some day and see if I can make something in a "romance-enhanced" direction. The "Kerry calls V and wants help with cleaning up the villa" quest we all deserve xD

2023/Feb/12

Another couple of days later, and with one toe dipped into modding now, I finally installed AMM (I think, since this was around Valentine's Day, this must've been when I saw a tutorial by @pinkyjulien on how to pose your blorbos for kissing poses with AMM, and my mind was blown XD). My first attempt to even get anything accomplished was kinda frustrating though (because I wanted to do too much too quickly). In a couple of the other "then and now" posts I saw earlier that the more common approach for getting into AMM used to be "swap your characters with NPCs around the city" and I was like.... "oh, yeah, that would've made things a lot easier" 🤡 Nope, I went right in with spawning them in and trying to squish them together with poses that somewhat matched XD

The following were my first AMM-posed screenshots that worked how I wanted them to, and aösdhfdsaf I am somewhat self-conscious about them still. What is a "look at" feature? What are expressions?

I never shared these publically before but hhhhh... this is it, this is the moment where the brainrot started. They're at Dark Matter, talking about V's childhood in Charter Hill, musing about how it's insane how they both occupied almost the same spaces for such long periods of their lives and only never ran into each other due to their age difference. I'm actually still (slooooowly) working on a little comic with this scene/story as topic, cause it is so essential and important to me (based on a random spontaneous decision I made about V's past before even knowing the Dark Matter existed... right across from V's childhood home asdöasdhfjds. Setting the whole "we were destined for each other" trope I have going on with them so much in stone ;A;). This is one of the shoots I'd also really like to redo with my current VP skills... maybe when I've finished my hand-holding poses, cause yeah... hand holding ;__;

Five months later, still stupidly in love with each other, still regularly back at the Dark Matter because the place is so gorgeous and important to them. Kerry's getting some more outfits slowly but surely (even with sunglasses!), I have a much better understanding of AMM and the VP possibilities in general now. These two unlocked completely new ways of creative expression for me that I wouldn't even have dreamed of possessing or wanting to follow. VP has become such an amazing creative outlet, for creating all those little scenes I wish I existed in the base game, or which I'd love for them to have in their future.

Am I crying about fictional pixel men too much? Maybe. But over a short period of time they've become so important to me, and I got to meet so many cool and inspiring people in this community after not really feeling part of or even drawn to creating for a fandom for a long time anymore. Can't wait to update this post some time in the future to see where my and their journey will lead to!

I feel like my progress is kinda slow, and I wish I had more time to dedicate to them and all my creative endeavours, cause they'd deserve it for all the joy they bring me xD But alas... Fingers crossed for more spare time and better time management in my future! Thanks for reading this far and coming to my blorbo talk 💜

when asked what my Favorite kind of art is my mind IMMEDIATELY goes to Northwest Coast art. ever since i was a kid i've been VERY obsessed with formline art and still very much so am.

as a kid my first interaction with formline art was in the form of The Spirit of Haida Gwaii by Bill Reid - a sculpture formerly featured on the canadian 20 dollar note. there's a copy of it hanging out in the museum of national history and i really need to go back to appreciate it now that i'm not a kid with an obligation to stick with a tour group. i DID get to glimpse the Jade Canoe edition in the vancouver airport for a fleeting moment between late connections - needless to say i was very heartbroken that i couldn't stick around to appreciate its detail.

the thing i absolutely go feral for are orcas in formline art. nothing - i repeat - NOTHING can compare to the sheer grip this animal in this art style has on me. i do not really have words to explain it, how i came to love this or why, i am just very enthusiastic about orcas in this style and have been for as long as i can remember.

i have a tiny handful of pins and merch made by various Haisla, Namgis and Haida artists - though only a few artists offer orca art. i don't want to just impulse-buy whatever orca i can find [etsy for example is a hellhole of stolen / appropriated art and i ain't for it] so i'm just patiently waiting around until an artist from a pacific northwest community puts up an art piece for sale.

i am also a fan of The Voice of Fire by Barnett Newman; if only for the fact that the museum bought this piece for 1.8 million and then proceeded to display it in the most OMINOUSLY EMPTY ROOM THEY HAD IN THE WHOLE BUILDING. my love for this painting isn't necessarily in the painting itself, but the presentation. i have stood in this room. occasionally there are other sculptures in there, but for the most part it just lingers there, isolated, glaring at you.

here they are, the new boys and girl-

i..... have no clue what im doing for most of em as far as stands go atm, so im just gonna list some general character info stuff-

-Taiana is pretty much just a goofy and outgoing girl who is completely invested in becoming a knight one day, even though they aren’t really a thing anymore. She is incredibly skilled with a sword.

-Saino is very shy, but not exactly timid and pretty much shares a braincell with Taiana.  He is incredibly skilled at growing plants.

-Theo is the only Dracheilig with multiple braincells, and is an inventor in his spare time. He’s very self conscious about his appearance however, fearing people will think he is a monster.

-Jacian is quite similar to Taiana in personality, though he acts more so as if he is royalty.  Technically speaking, he actually is a knight to some degree, and his intentions are largely unknown.

-Anthony, or Anton, is Jacian’s right hand man and closest friend.  He’s pretty ordinary besides that, but his dedication to helping and supporting those he cares for is unrivalled. 

-Gabbrielli is actually rumored to be royalty of some sorts, though if that is actually true or not is unknown.  However, these rumors, in tangent with his bright demeanor and... well, being a pretty anime boy, has lead to him being considered a bit of a heartthrob.  

some other stuff:

-Taiana and Saino are twins (with Taiana being like a minute older), and Theo is their older brother.

-All of the characters, with the exception of Theo, are Seniors in high school (though their ages still vary between 17 and 18) 

-Taiana and Jacian are rivals, and have gained a reputation for having duels in the front of the school on a regular basis.  These usually attract a crowd, though they always end in a draw.

-Anton is not the only person who looks up to Jacian; He actually is quite popular, and most of his friends or even just close acquaintances would do near anything for him.

-Taiana’s ‘Visor’ (the black shadow over her eyes) is just a mask of sorts that Theo made for her because she thought it would be cool.  It is.

-Theo’s appearance is caused in large part due to his stand’s power; It is irreversible, and the only part of it he can control is his wings, which he can manifest and retract at will.

-Yes Theo is part dragon, and so are his siblings.  No I will not elaborate, this is JoJo’s I’m like 90% sure weirder shit has happened.

-Saino aids Taiana on most, if not all, of her Knightly Escapades (TM).  They’re pretty much an inseparable duo most of the time.

-Jacian is just extra.  Like, minor Fire Emblem villain level of extra.  This man will eat a McDonalds burger with a fork and a knife using the finest china in his whole goddamn house.

-Gabbrielli is just a good boy who wishes people would stop hitting on him.  He’s good friends with Saino and Taiana, and will occasionally be the voice of reason, but more often then not will just get dragged into whatever shenanigans they're doing at the moment.

the coronation: okay so... rightfully. there’s nothing i should be appraising here. adora and catra didn’t interact or bring each other up at all. but bro... catra’s new outfit... the best character of season four. i’m kidding but also she is so hot. catra seems to be dealing w the portal incident by framing it as a victory, since the rebellion was hurt by it. but also who cares. who fucking cares man. her arc this episode was about her deciding to make hordak her little bitch and design a new sexy outfit. that adora did NOT talk about nor seem visually affected by >:( yes, this entire season will be measured by how much i think it was a missed opportunity that adora did not get to thirst. jk but also am i? 500000000/10 for catra’s new look, 0/10 for official catradora stuff

the valley of the lost: god...... this episode. i know it’s like one of the few catradora moments we have this season already but it makes me LIVID that adora said that flirty ass line and catra never even got to hear it. anyway, let’s begin properly. double trouble seeks catra out and says they’re gonna be her new best friend. catra says “oh, yeah? i’m done with best friends”, making it official that she and adora broke up 😔 like friend broke up oh my god 😔 KFKSKDKD like we been knew but i think it is so dramatic and funny of catra to announce that she’s never having a best friend again because adora broke her heart 😔💔 i mean i know it’s also like sad but let’s keep it light ok uwu anyway. sigh. double trouble! auditions for catra! by pretending to be her in battle! which is great for them, but not for me and my hang ups about adora bringing back a flirty line catra said to her in season one and winking and then catra doesn’t hear or see ANY of it. sigh. let’s go through the scene. adora sees who she thinks is catra run in and say “hey! careful with the goods”, pouncing on adora and taking her down. adora tosses dt!catra into the walkway above and they get a cut on their face. not sure whether this is meant to signify adora pulling less of her punches around catra or double trouble just not being as agile as catra is in combat. it’s probably the latter because when you think about it, throwing catra away is much more of a defensive tactic than an offensive one. anyway! double trouble still does a more or less good job fighting adora as catra. huntara calls adora over and is like hi adora! could you stop fighting ur gf for one fucking second? we need you to do literally anything else. and adora (who has NO IDEA she’s not fighting her ACTUAL gf) is like :( wait no what really?? ok :( one sec tho lemme pull off this super cool sexy farewell thing before i stop fighting catra i’ve been practicing it for years u kno kinda been working up to doing this bit. and then she. grabs dt!catra after stopping them from running away, and grabs this trap thingy to trap them against the side of this wall. “i got something more important to do :) it was fun distracting you though ;)” and she actually WINKS and she looks SO PROUD of her damn self but it means pretty much NOTHING because that’s not ACTUALLY catra :( wtf :( the worst thing about this whole situation is that adora clearly wanted to do her whole super strong super powered thing and then go BACK to catra and like.... gloat or something.... flirt some more.... kiss her.... i don’t know. but dt!catra is gone because they’re good at getting out of tight spots, and adora is like “how did she get out of that? :( i wanted to see more of her tf....” anyway double trouble, scorpia, and catra are escaping in a skiff after this. catra thinks double trouble did marvelously. “i grew up with adora, and you fooled her” well catra. i’m very sorry. but if i were adora seeing you in that new look for the first time, i wouldn’t be checking to see if u were ooc. i would be.... hm idk.... flirting with you as hard as possible? like i know i complained that we never got a proper reaction from adora re catra’s new outfit, but i think we could interpret this scene as a lapse in adora’s morals <3 like she gave catra such a hard stare the last time they saw each other, and the next time they saw each other (after this) adora glared at her too, but somehow this time she’s all 👅👅👅👅👅it was fun distracting you ;) ;) ;) like ok. slow down there horn dog. “if you can do that, we can do anything. this is gonna be fun...” catra :( perhaps you would have more fun :( if you suggestively fought with adora :( yourself? :( 8/10

tbh I’m surprised you say that the gameplay is superb. I didn’t feel it was above the usual, and the usual for story quests is passable at best (and is often not at its best). Of course, it’s debatable whether I’d be happy if the gameplay was more involved. I’d be stuck on the main story longer, in that case, and I am currently deeply unwilling to spend time on that. 

(Now, the exploration for 2.0 was great, and I am hoping 2.1 is good too, but this is completely and utterly detached from the storyline. You don’t even go to Seirai once in Act 3.) 

I’m also NOT willing to wait longer because they’ve already had a full year to come out with Chapter 2. Two!! They literally took a year from launch to release the next proper story update! And it sucks! It’s short, basic and poorly constructed! This is not a time issue. This is just flat out an issue with their writing team being completely incompetent. 

They just need to hire Actual Writers. 

not just about the obvious things like why was the vision hunt started, and what about all the damage that it brought to the island, scaramouche's appearance, baal's puppet (that felt very out of the blue like :///)

it all just felt pretty rushed, like... you know from the beginning it's okay to give us more quests to show how inazuma is currently affected, how the war took a toll on everyone even resistance soldiers, the delusions and teppei dying... like they could have made it more emotional??

Genshin dropping plot points out of nowhere seems to be the norm, because their writing team doesn’t understand writing. 

I mean, the puppet thing is sudden and out of nowhere in particular and also poorly handled because this “puppet” has her own will, but we treat it as her not having one? People were assuming it would be a possession situation, which would imply some drama there, but we literally have no idea how the “puppet” feels about any of this or what she’s even aware of. 

But then, was the twin sister thing foreshadowed? That was even MORE out of nowhere! And Scaramouche’s connection to all this is just straight up irrelevant. How do you say “oh yeah, this villain that appears in this chapter was actually created by the final boss!” and then never have them interact at all or express any opinion on this. Why would you use Signora here and not Scaramouche?!

However, I feel that they already gave us plenty on how much Inazuma is affected? 

This is handled in Act 1, 2, and in a huge number of side quests. Like, Act 1 is all about how much NPCs are suffering, which actually had way more emotional weight than any of the playable characters, ironically. And Act 2 was about the resistance and their struggles to stand against the Shogunate. There are also loads and loads of sidequests about soldiers dying in the war, soldiers traumatized by the war (notably, “Masanori” and Inaba Kyuuzou), civilians caught up in the fighting, the shogunate’s brutal and merciless treatment of anyone who didn’t bow down immediately, etc. 

The bigger issue is that we get All This about how much Inazuma has suffered because of the Shogun’s poor leadership and tyranny, and then the main story turns around and goes “you trashed Ei and now she’s opened up her heart and it’s all good :)” 

Genshin’s treatment of human characters is ridiculous. 

most of all just thinking about la signora's death makes me go all '?????' because I felt like it was rushed and for absolutely no reason at all... like... we barely even saw her or interacted with her as the main villain of the story (and in mondstat, she only came to take venti's gnosis at the end, nothing else and the same for liyue too whose while events was planned by zhongli) in inazuma (save for that one time in ritou). we knew the fatui had to be involved somehow because they're collecting gnoses and they've had plots with every city we came upon so far, but like... ???

He straight up says that Childe was just a pawn on the grand stage he arranged, and Signora was a co-conspirator. 

Signora dying here (if she’s really dead) is massively disappointing and actually probably some of the worst writing Genshin has put out. 

Her role and also her death lacking build up is... Genshin typical. But it seems to have been done purely to hype Baal? Like, oh, Baal has been too passive, time to show that she’s a badass... except it’s pointless. 

I don’t even know what to say, but Genshin did manage to lower my opinion yet again, so there’s that. 

maybe I'm just being biased but yeah, I felt let down by the update. at least there's baal and sara to pull for ;w;

Personally I think both their designs are dumb, so I’m hard pass on rolling for them.

Steven Universe: The Movie Re-Watch (Pt. 1)

Ewswoskksskksos, it always amuses me so much that they brought on Patti Lupone, Christine Ebersole, and Lisa Hannigan to sing an expositional song and then show up for, like, five minutes total in the movie. That’s powerful.

Hhhhhh, but also, I love how much the Diamonds have grown in two years, and that, fundamentally, they’re still growing—White needing to be corrected on the prejudiced language she used, for instance. In two years, a lot can happen; so much can change. And the work never stops.

OKAY v incoherent and incomplete review/commentary/idk abt two heroes

so ive given myself a couple hours to digest this now and i can say that i rlly liked it!! it was a cute and charming movie. there arent any obvious plotholes i can think of (tho its not like i was trying to) so that makes me happy as well i like it when things make sense hoho. it rlly gave me rights i love it,,so much,,

i cant judge this too well bc i stopped watching abt every three minutes to post some bullshit, but i thought the pacing was done well overall. nothing felt particularly rushed but then again i stopped-then-started a lot

the animation was SO SMOOTH it looked SO PRETTY aHHH i just loved it,,,,fuck. 2d animation is so gorgeous and they did a lot w it in this movie so i am so pumped. they tried out things it doesnt look like they couldve/can yet in the anime so it was fresh and new and most importantly looked rlly good. i loved it it flowed so well

also we got more all might backstory!! i always love that. the intro scene was so soft. im glad toshi had moments when he was happy even after nana died :,^]

btw dave and all might definitely had a fling at the LEAST. like sorry man u can check my liveblogging to see the screenshots but bro at the v least dave is WHIPPED. regardless of if u see their relationship as platonic or otherwise tho, they had very sweet interactions nd i love em

i would die for the shield family. melissia is so much like midoriya it hurt. but shes also like mei!!! and i just want the best for her. shes gonna do so great shes gonna be her own type of hero shes gonna be the next best scientist ever i just know it. i love her. dave is a wacky dude i rlly liked his design he rlly has the dad vibe goin. and he was kinda a villain but i thought his motive was kinda interesting nd he regretted it so thats all i can ask for rlly. i hope we see more of him sometime

This ep was a roller coaster oh my god. Non stop plot not that the tournament is done, and we saw like EVERY CHARACTER my feeble heart could not keep up. The ONLY thing that bothered me was part of the fight sequence at the end, like it was half drawn beautifully half animated so stiff and blocky ??? Threw me for a loop. But next week is only gonna get more intense??? I’m gonna guess we’ll get through the Elder Centipede fight??? But then what does that mean for the last episode??? I am full of SO MANY QUESTIONS??? I really don’t want the season to end yet, 12 eps is not enough. There’s only 2 more. Just. I’m not ready to let go of my bbs it feels like I only JUST got them… Well!
