tam just seems like such a kind person, just not in the way you'd think a kind person would be. he hates the way things work right now, so why wouldn't he try and comfort the people experiencing it? if there's kids out there who are furious and hate the world and want to shun their elvin ways--well he was that kid. this kid comes into his office/healing center place just stubborn and expecting Tam to try and get them to calm down and take another chance with the system and say it's not as bad as you think it is and then. tam just agrees with them. and it's like oh you understand. this is a safe space. you're just like me.

also you're idea of him getting rid of the hair is so cool--i love the meaning behind it! his silver bangs have so much pain and anger mixed in with them, i can't even imagine how freeing it would be to cut them off. that message that he's not holding on to that past in the same way, that while he's been affected by his parents and societies actions for life, he's not going to hold that as a part of himself--sure, it'll motive him at times, that lingering pain--and he's going to learn from it and be better. I've seen headcanons that tam cuts his silver hair off and Linh dyes her whole head, which kinda reminds me of that you're saying. I agree that Linh would keep hers, because it wasn't a message to anyone but herself and her own mistakes.

i wonder--do you think Tam would have one specific piece of silver that he'd wear, like a necklace or bracelet he never takes off, or would he swap it out from time to time?

i don't know if i said everything I wanted to but healer tam is so special to me an holds a place in my heart permanently. just the whole idea of taking your anger and refusing to let it overcome you and give up on the world, this firm determination to keep going because there are people, children, who are going to need you there to fight for them

skip the boring part so uh a few more days passed awkwardly between you two and after your failed attempt at asking around you decide to confront sungjin in person

youre in the band practice room, the others are present, sungjin’s about to leave early as usual, and you find yourself jumping up your seat, “whats your problem with me?”

you know sungjin hates confrontation but you cant stand it anymore. you tried giving him time but if theres anything you seem to be more of a stranger to him

“i dont know what i did wrong and i wont know if you dont tell me, so let me know. i’ll listen and i’ll apologize if its my fault, but dont give me silent treatment like this. its so unlikely of you"

you can see sungjin clences his jaw as he replies calmly, "people change"

"you don't change, youre being childish. if you're mad you should talk about it. if you don't want me here you should tell me to go. if you don't like ME dating your friend you should tell me not to!!!"

and suddenly there's a train of awkward coughs and you come back to your senses and you realize you're being watched

you feel the heat spreading across your face as you open your mouth the same time as sungjin, both want to deny dowoon, but younghyun beats yall to it, "yeah you two are in love with each other we been know"

you and sungjin stares at each other, confused, "we don't???"

"oh honey,,, my dear,,, ive read enough sappy shit in writing club to see where this is going"

the conversation was cut there and neither of you bring it up again,

because the idea of you loving sungjin or sungjin loving you is so weird that you refuse to think about it, and so is for sungjin

but ever since that, sungjin has drastically come back to normal its almost hilarious, he spends a lot of time hanging out in the music club, practicing with the band, visiting the cooking club, making a joke here and there

BNHA AU Ideas: Don’t Praise the Almighty (Part 2)

TL;DR:

Things you must sacrifice to be a hero: Everything.

But with the end of a symbol come the end of the hurt.

Starting with I-Island Expo

mellissa calls them over like canon, shouto basically demands he gets endeavours spot. aizawa and yamada go too, mostly because yamada was going there for his show and they heard whispers of all might, and were worried about a possible izuku attending so aizawa went as a plus one

the other kids are there for the same reason, but other than scissors paper rock for the tickets it was a tournament brawl because ochako demanded combat.

she won, of course

anyway, they meet up w david and melissa, and izuku and her go explore the expo when melissa tells izuku shes quirkless he just give her the strangest look, and she's a little confused

i-island was a very chill attitude towards quirks. if you have one, cool, but they aren't useful to the inventors so its nbd if you don’t. and she says ab how she's a researcher and all the and he just looks at her like shes speaking gibberish

"they,,, they let you?"

and melissa looks dumbfounded "obviously? i mean, my grades are good enough?"

and izuku just start to cry. melissa is panicking bc she's already adopted this little hero as her little cousin because he's basically uncle might's kid. she like, hides him away in a corner and tries to understand what's wrong

and all she can get out of this crying kid is

"i used to be quirkless" and "don't tell all might"

she gives him a big hug and he talks ab how he was treated in middle school, and about how he hasn't told anyone in ua. she asks why he said don't tell all might and he murmurs that allmight doesn't think is very befitting of a hero to cry

deep down that doesn't sound right to her. but she only nods, hands him a tissue and they giggle about it behind a fancy model car

back in the office david and all might are talking

all might tells david that he knows his quirk is fading but it's ok, because he's training a successor and izuku is going to be perfect. that sounds ok to david. he's warmed by the total faith all might seems to have in his student, and the close relationship they must have to call him by his first name

all might confesses he’s looking forward to retiring and nurturing his student and david calls off the whole heist (well. he tries to. not that they listen.)

so Yamada and Aizawa are walking around the showroom floor and they see a "i was just crying but im trying to hide it and going an ok job" izuku with some random fucking blonde girl and they s w o o p in bc these are some worried dads

basically Yamada keeps her busy while aizawa says "oh i have to talk to you ab something" izuku goes over to aizawa and hes freaking the fuck out quietly. aizawa just leans down to look him in the eye

"you ok, kid?"

and izuku is confused

"what do you mean?"

"you looked a little upset back there, do you know that girl? is she,,, doing anything? to you?"

and izuku feels all warm and fuzzy inside and smiles at his teacher bc aizawa cares!! ab him!!

"no sensei, shes all mights kind-of-niece, she was just showing me around the expo"

and aizawa winces a little at the all might comment but what can he do

"well, don't forget you can talk to me, ok? i know i gave you my number on an emergency basis but i also want you to know your definition of an emergency is terrible. just call whenever you want"

melissa, bc she understands social cues unlike izuku, and also bc shes fucking 18 looks at yamada and says "what's wrong?" and yamada feels all the force of an 18-year-old girls glare of "ive adopted this kid and ill kick you for him"

"just worried about the little listener is all, he looked a little down"

melissa just sighs and nods

"yeah."

yamada expects her to continue but she doesn't. they both just kinda fiddle around with some random buttons until aizawa brings izuku back, who looks significantly cheerier now. melissa declares lunch is on her and that the teachers are coming too

aizawa and yamada try to wiggle their way out of it, until izuku also tries to so they all double down on going to lunch and izuku gets dragged along

when they get there he's fretting ab what won't ruin his diet plan, and aizawa and yamada feel bad. melissa just tells him to get what he wants

"but i dont want to upset-. i should be sticking to my diet plan though."

aizawa loudly declares hes getting a chocolate sundae and pork cutlet sandwiches. melissa, equally loudly, decides on carbonara. yamada fumbles for a bit looking for something unhealthy because hes a mess, finally finds a chicken karrage bowl and points at it like hes very proud of himself

melissa loses her shit laughing, izuku just giggles softly and aizawa fuckn snorts at the crestfallen look on yamada

izuku quietly asks if getting katsudon would be ok and melissa just looks into his eyes

"izuku i would kill a man for you of course pork katudon is ok"

anyway, the other students turn up, and momo shouts them all food, ochako proudly declares herself the winner of a fighting tournament and aizawa just slumps in his chair

"if i didnt hear that, you dont get detention for using your quirks without supervision"

and ochako just smiles with a scary amount of teeth

"who said we used quirks, sensei?"

and ochako proudly shows off the bruise on her upper arm where jirou punched her and jirou is whining bc she has a foot shaped imprint in her stomach s t i l l from the last round

everyone is talking n shooting the shit. it strikes the kids (and the teachers) a little weird that izuku is in his hero costume (the only other person there in costume is yamada, who is representing his agency. aizawa is in free dress but also his scarf bc he wanted to ask how the fuck it was made) but they just kinda, don't mention it

anyway, the bit w the quirk display

they hound aizawa into doing it, and he makes time pretty similar to bakugo and everyone is cheering for him and he's trying very hard to maintain his "im a professional hero not a dad getting cheered on by his stupid kids"

yamada wants to do it, but aizawa won't let him bc people need their ears

all the hero kids give it a go, including ochako, jirou, momo, etc. izuku (who at this point is like at 10%ish full cowl) makes time tied w Todoroki and izuku is talking ab how amazing todoroki is, and tenya chimes in with "you are quite amazing as well!" and midoriya blushes so hard he looks like a strawberry. he is very very flustered and keeps trying to deny it

eventually, everyone piles on the compliments (even katsuki bc this is the most fun hes had in ages) until izuku gets so flustered he hides behind aizawa like "you won't do this to me right?"

aizawa fuckn ruffles his hair and says "you're a good kid"

izuku just cries but he's smiling so wide everyone knows he's happy

so its the night of the party

izuku is dressed to the nines and he's sad ab it bc he wanted to wear something cheery and bright but instead he was dressed in a charcoal black suit, vest and a dark red tie. black shoes too

the one bit of cheer he shoved in were some red laces bc all might didn't mind them bc he was so "good" ab the suit fitting and the poking and prodding so he wears the bright red laces and he's very happy ab them

all might is in his hero costume, and he's very proud of the fact he and izuku match like a pair with the same shade of red bc that's his successor! his boy! all might tells izuku he can wait outside for the rest of the kids to show up and izuku is so happy! so he thanks allmight a lot more than he needs to and waits outside the door (all might was early to the event bc he needed to schmooze)

aizawa and yamada come later to a surprisingly well dressed izuku waiting patiently off to the side

they ask him why he's out there and he happily chirps that he's waiting for the other students that attended, they smile at him and walk in . all might sends them a glare from across the floor that aizawa returns just as spitefully

anyway, iida texts that he's stuck out the front bc the door won't open so he scrambles over to let iida and, apparently ochako as well, in (for the purposes of this au, todoroki, iida, ochako, izuku and melissa are the only ones of the kids at the beginning, todoroki's melodramatic entrance is stolen by jirou and momo. no mineta or kami bc they just,,, arent there lmao)

so the doors slam shut and melissa is like "wtf wtf" and the announcement sounds. they pile up the stair to look down to the dining room, teachers and other heroes tied up

the kids know a bit of sign from various hero class training bits by aizawa and "fun facts" by mic

so they brokenly sign to allmight and aizawa (the only teachers that can see them) that they are going to fix this

all might nods

aizawa looks panicked. these are kids. his kids. they shouldn't have to fight people with fucking guns

izuku says "ill keep them safe" and aizawa wants to cry because he believes him, but who'll keep izuku safe

so iida starts on his whole "we cant use quirks" speech before melissa can even remind them ab i islands quirk laws, izuku just murmurs

"all might gave me permission to fight. it'll be ok."

melissa freezes bc,,, she knows adults shouldn't be letting these kids fight, even if that's exactly what she's going to help them do. she mentions the quirk law anyway

now todoroki is pissed at all might but the bitch was gonna fight anyway. ochako is 100% roaring for a showdown

now they are,, a little more cautious. bc they are a smaller group here but izuku is like double the power so its not realllllyy an issue. the middle fight happens, they gain the wlw and mlm solidarity pairs (Jirou + Momo, Kirishima + Bakugo)

then pretty quickly lose bakugo and momo for a hot minute as they stay to finish up the fight while sending the others on

oh izuku totally has the punchy punchy thing from melissa i just forgot to mention it

so, bc melissa's dad didnt actually,, want in on it this time he's fighting back. he's stalling, pleading, backchatting; everything he can do to give someone a chance to fix his fuck up before it kills someone

so melissa and izuku make it to the top of the tower

izuku has been at shot more times than he's really happy about, just he has nothing more than a few grazes. melissa has a nasty bruise on her face and a cut on her arm from where she redirected a blow that would have stabbed izuku

the villain is talking ab how this was David's idea, and he's trying to explain to the kids that he's sorry, this was a mistake. he tried to call it off but they wouldn't stop. at this point he is totally away these people are real criminals and has been since the heist began

he's trying to convince them to run because as proud as all might is of izuku, and as proud of melissa he is, they are to young. they don't deserve this

izuku takes out the goons but the villain has already escaped with david and the quirk enhancer

izuku promises melissa he'll keep her dad safe and shes left in the control room crying alone because who'll protect the kid that's been nothing but kind and gentle yet has the weight of the world on his shoulders

also just an fyi bc you needed to know- melissa is down her heels and she lost her hairpin when she stabbed someone with it, she threw her heels at a villain too bc she was running out of ideas. melissa literally tied her hair in a big knot so she could fucking see

izuku is down a jacket - threw it over someone's head then punched them and his waistcoat is unbuttoned bc he need to punch. his hair is going fucking hog wild, even in the tighter clip yagi likes it kept in

anyway, when the alarms go off, all might fucking rockets to the roof and aizawa is fuming bc those are his fucking kids too

he and yamada have to take the goddamn elevator to the roof. its certainly not a slow elevator but aizawa is so fucking tense. yamada isn't much better

all might won't let them fight. he hands david and melissa off to them and tells them he and izuku will handle wolfram and aizawa is so pissed bc izuku is on his last fucking legs here

aizawas quirk doesn't work w the enhancer so he admits there isn't much he can do, but yamada is perfect here. but all might won't move out of the way long enough for mic to let his quirk go. honestly, hed be tempted to do it anyway if not for izuku also being there

anyway, all might and izuku do their lil double detroit smash and its all very sweet

bc,,, aizawa can see how izuku is shaken up, and close to passing out. visibly in a lot of pain but he's swallowing it all down and acting as if everything is fine and aizawa sees izuku with small might again and wonders why, why do they know each other?

yamada and aizawa feel vaguely ill when izuku and all might return to their shared hotel room after all might grabs a few bandages and alcohol wipes from a first aid kit. bc,,, aizawa can see how izuku is shaken up, and close to passing out. visibly in a lot of pain but he's swallowing it all down and acting as if everything is fine

aizawa and yamada stay with the kids, trying to cheer them up and bandaging wounds that don't need urgent medical care. melissa is just blankly watching out the door izuku left through

"why didn't they stay?"

aizawa just aggressively tightens the bandage around his sliced up arm. todoroki looks pissed. iida just kind of looks down

"im not sure, melissa. im... im not sure"

the next morning, as aizawa and yamada stumble downstairs to eat shitty hotel breakfast food, yamada glances out the window and looks like he's about to cry bc izuku, still battered and bruised, is stepping out of the gym over the road. its only 7am

they basically pounce on the kid and drag him to breakfast, where they find out he has been training since 5 and hasn't eaten yet and he's fucking, sheepish about it

"i got up a little late, so i just to my light routine for the morning, ill have to make up the time a little later"

aizawa just shoves pastries at his kid. izuku tries to stammer out that they arent part of his diet but,,, they look really nice and he's really hungry and stressed,,, and he caves pretty quick

so aizawa yamada and izuku are sitting around a table, both of his teachers arent totally human until they've had a coffee so izuku is happily babbling about some new hero teach he saw as aizawa grunts in affirmation

allmight shows up and izuku blanches. aizawa and yamada are a little too tired to realise until yagi is already over by the table. izuku quietly puts down the pastry and just cringes into himself

"im,,, im really sorry. i - i just"

"i got it for him" aizawa says totally deadpan as he slams back a whole ass cup of coffee

deep down inside he did it to flex on mister "i have no stomach so im not allowed caffeine"

all might sighs and gently chides izuku for not sticking to his diet plan. izuku nods miserably and excuses himself back to the room to 'get changed out of his sweaty clothes'

yagi sits and eats breakfast with aizawa and yamada as they try to understand what,,, what exactly happened there. it hurts both of them because they aren't sure what all mights doing

mic has seen one instance of something nasty going on, but other than that its just been a collection of terrible vibes

Training Camp Time Baby.

after that total clusterfuck of an event training camps still on

all might wants to go but nezu no sells him bc "you literally attract villains, all might" and like bitch is smart, he knows something is up. he's not sure what yet, but he's working on it

all might gives aizawa a personalised training schedule for izuku that he takes one look at and throws it out the fucking window

basically all might goes as "all might's secretary" to monoma

"very worried about my boy, and i think aizawa is training him too hard, could you please give me a run down on what happens each day?"

and there is this little,,, list of things he doesn't want izuku doing and he phrases them in ways that make it seem like he's being perfectly reasonable. like allergies or bad habits izuku is trying to break or whatever. izuku has to tell all might what happens at the end of every day anyway

all might,,, wants hourly updates,,,, but he realises that's not going to happen w aizawa's deep hatred of students on cellphones lmao

he hears izuku mentioning to todoroki that "yagi" wants to know what's happening at the camp and that he's excited to talk to his mentor about all the training they do. and aizawa is caught between wanting to find some bullshit reason to take izukus phone, or just pretending he didn't hear that bc who knows how much trouble not answering yagi could get him in

he makes an announcement that cellphones are to be on mute for the duration of the camp anyway.

yagi wanted to go on the camp, aizawa wouldn't let him, monoma is yagis mole etc we have covered this

in this au the league never latched on to bakugo, it's izuku that shigiraki wants, but to backtrack

getting off the bus its funny in a sad way bc izuku was so prepared to get hit by one of the teachers "training" them at any time he dodges the landslide

they all just kinda sit there for a second, stunned. izuku sighs quietly and jumps after his classmates

anyway so, they get to the camp a lil faster bc izuku is More Powerful, izuku (bc hes faster than iida on uneven ground) runs shinsou to the campground, they mind control pixiebob to stop the earthbeasts then run back to show the rest of 1A the way out

they get there in 2 hours

aizawa is very proud of his boy for thinking of that! and he ruffles izukus hair and its cute

in this au izuku isn't confident enough to say hi to kouta, but he waves. kouta just glares at him and he hides behind iida

they do a little extra training because 1A finished the earth beast thing so fast, half of the training is all of 1A trying to stop Izuku from going overboard. they get a little,,, disturbed when they realise just how long izuku can train without visibly breaking a sweat

they go to chill in the baths and iida sees izuku walking out of the changing rooms and freezes

because he's c o v e r e d in hand-shaped bruises

he tries not to react bc he doesn't want izuku to be uncomfortable and change his mind ab hanging in the bath w all of them

kaminari goes to say something and kirishima just fucking pulls him under the water before he can say anything, mineta is socially aware enough to not open his fucking mouth

they chat n izuku can kinda,,, tell,,, something is wrong but most of the bruises are places he can't see/doesn't look, like his shoulders, hips, back, back of his legs

and the ones on his wrist he just kinda brushes off bc he's still convinced this is normal. the thing w mineta happens, izuku helps kouta, iida comes with him to give him to the wild wild pussycats

and pixiebob looks like she wants to say something bc who is hurting this kid? and iida just catches her eyes and he looks so worried. she keeps her mouth shut, but makes sure to mention it to aizawa. she feels terrible when aizawa just curses and pulls his hair in frustration

anyway, 1B shows up and its hilarious bc 1A is going hog fucking wild other than izuku, aizawa is forcing izuku to learn to cook

so bakugo is screaming and blowing shit up, todoroki is in a fucking barrel, iida is running like afo is chasing him and aizawa is patiently showing izuku how to scramble eegs

monoma is losing his fucking mind

but yeah aizawa and izuku are sitting in front of a little stove w their legs crossed, izuku is trying to cut tomatoes and aizawa is supervising. they are making breakfast for 1A. slowly. all of 1A is being very careful to not disturb them, so there is this little bubble of calm around the egg station

"why,,, why arent i training?"

and aizawa fucking pauses

"this is training, keep up problem child."

and izuku looks so fucking lost but the eggs smell good and he gets to cook the bacon next. each part of the fucking breakfast is cold by the time 1A gets to eat it bc izuku was cooking it 1 by 1, little portions at a time

everyone just tells him its fucking wonderful

he joins in training after breakfast, ragdoll is placed on "izuku watching duty" which izuku has 0 clue about. if he gets hurt/sore/too tired someone gets sent over to get him to do something else

when she looks at him the first time she wants to cry bc,,, he's not tired, he's more rested than he's been in ages. but the places that hurt, before hes even been training, are sending blaring alarm bells in her brain

anyway, its amusing bc everyone is 'going beyond' and they are just trying to get izuku back so they can know what is 'going beyond' and what is 'going so far beyond how are you still moving'

everyone is fucking wiped and izuku is like 'this is the easiest training ive had in months what' and aizawas want to yell bc while hes being soft on izuku, they arent taking his training lightly, and this is easy?

he gives the curry to kouta like the show, they all go to sleep

izuku has a nightmare and shouto - the only person not asleep - tries not to hear the things he's saying. he can't hear much, but he wishes he hadn't heard anything. anyway at least they all wake up well-rested

unfortunately in this au the villains actually have a half-decent plan, and fucking, communicators -which isn't great for the kids

so muscular sees izuku and is like "oi compress move your arse over here" while he tries to kill kouta. so we get the joy of izuku saving kouta, getting him to aizawa and just as he hands over the kid, compress takes izuku and kouta just starts to cry

"izuku is kidnapped" time is a ride

the only thing they give him is a set of quirk suppressors and dont give him a key to get out of the bar. they are about as nice to him as they are to each other, a little softer on him bc he's young and they pretty much know what's happening to him

like, he gets out of compresses marble and he's panicking and crying, dabi just crouches down next to him and rubs his back, asks him if he's gonna be ok

shigiraki is trying to convince izuku to join then and his face just kinda falls when he sees izuku looking resistant

"you,,, you don't know that what he’s doing to you is wrong, do you."

and izuku looks like a deer in the headlights

"what do you mean? no ones- nothings- nothings wrong."

dabi just sits on a chair bc he knows where this is going and he doesn't like it. shigiraki looks at izuku

"if its not wrong, then tell me about it"

and izuku clams right up

ok but afo wants to talk to izuku. in this au he has literally 0 beef with the kid

he has only so much beef with the ofa users in general and he's typically pretty soft on them for being part of his brothers legacy, as soft as he can make killing them if they won't stop getting in his way, but still

but he hates allmight so fucking much and he's never been totally sure why

anyway, he asks to talk w izuku and this kid is shaking like a leaf and afo tells him

"you are a child. i have no intention of hurting you, i just want to know what all might has done to you."

"hes not done anything bad, i swear!"

"then why don't you tell me about it?"

izuku sits there quietly and afo feels just generally disgusted with humanity tbh

"how did you two meet?" izuku slowly opens up about the day they first met, and afo feels a stab of empathy for izuku, because being quirkless now is pretty comparable to being quirked before, afo doesnt interject beyond nods and encouraging him to keep going

but eventually, izuku totally clams up, starts crying and can't say anything else. afo wishes he didnt look as scary as he did because he wants to give the kid a hug. he calls tomura to take him back to the bar and get him something to eat

it gets to the point that all of the villains are super fucking soft for izuku. he's very nice, treats them well, and has seen some horrific shit

so when all might shows up to "rescue" him, they close ranks. they don't even pressure him to become a villain, because each of them has felt society push them into boxes they didn't want, and they don't want to do that to izuku

anyway, they get to kamino bc the usual fuckery, and izuku is just stranded behind villains crying and looking ill

the rescue squad : bakugo, todoroki, ochako, kirishima, iida, and one stubborn shinso that befriended the hero departments resident nervous wreck

they look across the field and they feel ill because izuku looks sick. but they feel a little better when twice gives him a bit of a hug.

confilcted, but better

they see afo talking to him gently but quickly, gesturing both to the villains and to the section of wall the rescue squad is hidden behind. izuku tearfully points to the wall, afo nods, ruffles his hair, and goes to send him off when all might rockets in

basically afo has looked at izuku and thought "wow he's me but a good person" and thinks he's what his little brother would want a hero to be, so, while he's very much going to continue his villainous thing, he's going to go out of his way to avoid hurting izuku bc this kid is what his little brother wanted OFA to be

and allmight is exactly what he would have hated

so, all might takes a step forward to drag izuku, the villains push him behind them

dabi is basically saying something along the lines of

"so does being in the top ten require you to be a total dick, or is it just a running theme?"

"give him back"

"why all might, izuku is his own person."

"izuku, get over here, now."

izuku lets out a sob and vaults over the villains, hiding behind allmight and all might looks horrifically smug. izuku whispers something to all might, but all might shakes his head (he was asking if he could run away)

the fight begins

a few reasons he won't let him leave:

its punishment for being 'weak' enough to get kidnapped

its backup if afo gets the better of his because hes made sure izuku is more than a force to be reckoned with

he wants to know what dabi ment and hes very read to ask izuku ab it

izuku is honestly shaking like a leaf, quirk going bonkers and he can't turn it off. the rescue squad does its thing, and their hearts break when they see izuku look at them tearfully and shake his head

they all hide in the crowd and cry as they watch the fight go on, izuku shakily pulling people from the rubble in the background. when hes gotten all of the people free he can, izuku kind of runs out of reasons he isnt actively helping allmight. he grits his teeth and dives into the fight with the other villains

hes trying to keep them away from all might and they all look heartbroken ab having to fight him dabi is saying something along the lines of "we know he hurt you, but how? why?" and izuku is just crying

all might can hear this too

izuku actually misses a few kicks and punches bc his eyes are too filled with tears, but the villains are careful not to hurt him too much. they just want to get him down and out of the fight, but as uninjured as possible

but that's a little fucking difficult when compress and kurogiri are down for the count and everyone else has nasty death quirks

eventually, it gets to the point that trying not to hurt the other villains is only hindering afo, and all might is pulling exactly 0 punches with izuku present, so afo teleports the villains away, they feel bad ab leaving izuku behind but there is no way this little hero would go with them. they know that now

afo goes to deal the final blow to all might, izuku just moves

cant stop himself from planting himself between them and trying desperately to catch the punch. hes hurt, badly. but he's not as dead as all might would have been

there is a vicious edge to all might’s smile as izuku is blown across the battlefield, and lays there w/o moving

afo feels sick, all might just looks pleased

"ive done pretty well wouldn't you say?"

afo just stares at him

"ive created the perfect hero. selfless down to the last breath, filled with overwhelming power and determination."

"he's flawless. isn't he."

afo wants to gag

"so, in creating your 'perfect hero', you find it acceptable to sacrifice your own humanity?"

"absolutely"

(all mights been small might for this conversation i just forgot to mention it l m a o )

they exchange their final blows

izuku shakily gets up from where he lays crumpled on the ground and staggers over to all might, where he stands victorious over afo

iida, todoroki, shinsou, Bakugo, the people who have seen what yagi has done to izuku and how he has treated him are now slapped with the realisation that the number one hero and the person hurting their best friend are one and the same

shinsou punches a wall, bakugo looks like he's about to be sick. iida and todoroki look shell shocked. ochako is just lost and confused

all might wraps izuku is a hug, where izuku hides his sobbing face. all might whispers something in izukus ear, not that the cameras can pick it up

"come on now, heroes don't cry."

izuku takes a breath, wipes away his tears and steps back. All might rests a hand on his shoulder and looks into his eyes, and loud enough for the cameras to pick up and announces

"you're next."

izuku nods solemnly

in the back of a conference room, vlad watches as aizawa goes deathly pale in realisation. at ua, nezu watches on with a degree on concern. at the hospital, the clueless members of 1A cheer. those who know more feel nervous, those who know the most feel sick.

the internet goes fucking bonkers. all might transformed, defeated a crazy villain, and literally declared his successor live on television

izuku and all might end up in the same hospital room, and all might,,, allmight.. ye.

anyway, the kids from the rescue attempt call aizawa over and over and over. every teacher, student, pro

any hero of ua staff they have anyway of contacting, begging to find out where izuku is right now. aizawa would tell them if he wasn't going exactly the same thing himself

eventually recovery girl calls him and he hightails his way over. fyi inko isn't there bc shes passed out drunk at home uwu

he bursts into the hospital room with as much dignity as he could possibly have and it's not really very much. doctors are hovering around, stitching wounds, taking blood, and watching an ecg pretty closely (they felt the room for a minute and izukus started going crazy, so they thought something may have happened to his heart)

the amount izuku perks up when he sees aizawa is heartbreaking he rushes over and immediately starts looking him over, apologising and telling him he's brave and that he's sorry he couldn't be there to help and izuku tears up. all might is glaring a hole in his back but aizawa doesnt give a shit right now, his kid basically go taken by the boogeyman and his unstable son, then has a target painted on his back on live tv. aizawa gives 0 shits ab all might right now

izuku just looks stunned, and then he lets out a watery giggle

"you shaved, sensei."

and aizawa is caught between crying and laughing. gently asks izuku if he can give him a hug, and izuku looks so shocked he was asked aizawa heart breaks again. izuku nods shyly and gets a Good Dad Hug

aizawa stays until izuku falls asleep, then he rounds on all might

“I don’t know what you’ve done to him, but he looked more afraid to be stood next to you than a man who has killed countless. Whatever you did, you won’t be doing it again.”

All might goes to say something, anything, but aizawa grabs him by the front of his hero costume

Aizawa tells him in no uncertain terms that he’ll never be alone in a room with izuku again for as long as he lives.

And with that, he storms out, leaving all might to stew.

she does!! she was doing an apprenticeship under him but has since graduated to doing her own thing (but she still works at his parlor). i can’t get into the whole plot because spoilers but angels/demons and agnes nutter’s prophecies still exist in the iaf universe, but anathema isn’t her descendant. instead, anathema is a wickedly smart computer genius and her boyfriend newt is an endearing but kind of inept descendent of agnes. anathema was azra’s good friend-turned-wingwoman once anthony shows up. i love her

bfdkjfdh im cry,,,, just keep practicing my friend!!! i promise it’ll get you where you want to go. the last couple of months have been really nice for me in my ~art journey~ because its the first time i’ve ever really liked stuff that i’ve drawn. ive been drawing for about 7-8 years and this is only just happening and it varies so much from person to person!! some people get to where they want to go in 2 years, some people take 20. just don’t stop practicing!!

Feb 16th Hpcc recap part one!

So many covers! Lola!Myrtle, Tom Gilbey!Draco, Jim Fish! Harry, Lucy!Delphi, Rosie! Umbridge, Sinead!Polly, Duncan! Yann

Act one notes

You know it’s going to be a great show when the first note you’ve written is “I love Gordon’s jacket!”

Dombus has the most massive grin on his face at the prospect of being on the platform he’s just so full of utter delight to be there and it’s adorable

JSP kept whispering into lily lunas ear during Albus and Harrys scene on the platform 🥺🥺

JSP gave his mum a kiss on the cheek and then had some banter with his dad as he nearly ran into him

Fish! Harry had a right chuckle at the idea of Ginny being in slytherin

Scorpius is sat reading his book with such a grin on his face, he’s so into whatever he’s reading, he looks up to see Karl and tries to make a friend, has the second of heartbreak when he runs away and then heads back to his book, as if he completly expected to be treated like it :(

Throughout Scorpius explaining his parents, Albus keeps opening his mouth as if he wants to say something to him and make sure he’s okay, then on the “father son issues, I’ve got them” the recognition in Albus’s face is everything!!he sees himself in that line

During his sorting Scorpius was definitely murmuring something that looked a bit like “please” and then looked elated when he got into slytherin, Ronnie and Gordon were going mental jumping up and down to welcome him in

Karl ran right into Madam Hooch they proper smacked into each other and it was hilarious

Karl was jabbing Albus with his broom as he teased him

Karl getting signed on the platform by Harry let out the biggest shriek of EEEEEEEE

There was a big Potter bro play fight on the platform bless them

Yolly walked past as Draco was talking about the rumours and the nastiness of the hogwarts students, and Draco properly death stared at them, he was just so angry that the people at Hogwarts were so mean to his poor son.

Yann responded to this by screaming “AHHHH” and the pair of them ran away

Albus is so pleased with himself that he got incendio right, that boy just loves magic so much 🥺

The way Al says “of course” in response to “come to the funeral” is so utterly heartbreaking, he’s so sad for his best friend and sees it as a given that he’ll be there

At the start of wand dance Albus nearly got woooshed by the teachers spell bc he was so close

JSP was supportively shouting at Albus and slowing down to look out for him!

Lola!Ravenclaw girl was so happy she was the first one to get the spell “I did it! Ahahah!!” Whilst jumping up and down

Fish!Harry had such a wonderful dynamic with Hermione in the Office scene! They were bouncing off each other and constantly making the other laugh, after “it’ll go with the scar” Harry did the loudest “ HA HA HA HA”

For “no longer chaotic” he had the biggest grin on his face and put on his poshest voice whilst holding onto his wand at both ends.

Harry really seemed so invested in how Hugo was doing, he had the most genuine voice asking the question and reached his hand out across the table towards Hermione.

Ronnie cloak swished so hard bringing the table off that his hood went up

When Amos mentions Cedric Harrys face fell so much, he still feels so responsible and it destroys him

Lucy!Delphi very matter of factly went “I’m a theif” and did a cute little head tilt before pointing her wand at Albus aggressively

She’s so expressive it’s adorable and she constantly uses her hands

On the “once great Harry Potter” line fish!harry nodded very awkwardly, Harry was clearly so uncomfortable in the situation

Albus lights up when he sees his brother with pink hair and starts giggling, he has a puzzled look on his face when he sees the wings trying to figure out what they are but once he’s worked it out he just looks so happy because his sister is simply overjoyed by them and her happiness is infectious.

Fish!Harry gritted his teeth as if it was painful to think about his poor mum and clasped his hands together moving closer to Albus’s face to say “I think she would have wanted you to have it too”

“I used to LOVE packing” Harry is just desperate to find a way to chat to his son bless his heart and he sounded so enthusiastic about it but awkward at the same time

On *that* blanket scene line Harry punches his hand down, he was so angry, and then the regret of what he said started to crawl over his face and it was so painful, Albus sounds so broken on the “you meant it dad” his voice fully cracked

Craig as Dudley was absolutely hilarious today, he screamed “LOOK AT HIM” when he saw Hagrid and put his hands over his mouth and then fully fell over onto his stomach on the floor.

Dudley kept peering out from under the pillars of the staircase, whenever the word magic was mentioned Rosie!Petunia would cover his ears, when yer a wizard happened, Dudley stuck his head out as far as possible, and then Petunia stuck her arms out a bit too late and had to stretch super far to cover his ears

Fish as Harry seemed to me like he had all this hatred for Dumbledore, he said the line in the bedroom with ginny so sarcastically, as if he knew it was a fucked up thing for Dumbledore to say to a child

On the first train hug Scorpius flailed about but then tried to go back into the hug

The trolley witch missed JSPs compartment and he was very frustrated and distraught that she skipped him and was sort of aggressively waving out for her to come back

Albus tries to shove Scorpius up onto the train roof but gets fed up and goes first, Scorpius hurriedly follows after him, he doesn’t want to be left behind, and his legs were flailing about as he was getting up.

On the rebel line Scorpius did some jazz hands.

Scorpius is just so sweet and polite he tries to maintain eye contact and smile and nod along with what the trolley witch is saying even though she’s probs very terrifying to him at that point in time, what a good egg

In the EGM Susan was giggling so much at Draco’s sass and was absolutely living for the dramaaaa

Craig in St Oswalds was brilliant, “oh no” as he saw the old witches and wizards approaching and then “how are ya Susan? Did you enjoy Bessys birthday party?!” (At that point I died on the spot, I have the best friends ever for making that happen and now there is an offical character in CC canon named Bessy)

Albus tried to have a convo with Craig as he ran by in st Oswalds but there was just to much chaos

Scorpius always tries to protect Albus he keeps putting his arms around him to keep him safe, they stand so close to one another 🥺

“It’s going to be dangerous” “we know” Albus has the biggest grin on his face that boy loves the idea of an adventure

“I’ve heard it tastes of fish” Albus takes a big sniff trying to check it out for his friend and seeing if it does

Jons!Scorpius polyjuice transformations are just getting more and more extra and I live for themmmm, he was sticking his tounge out and fully shaking and going “vvvvvvvvvvdhdjdgyd”

Fish as Scorpius was incredible he had all of Jons mannerisms perfectly and was constantly giggling, especially at himself after telling Albus off he couldn’t stop laughing

Gilbey!Draco was nearly full on crying at “my soul heir” He remained steely and had such a front up for the start of the scene and then the vulnerability shone through :(

The search for hiding places was very dramatic, and then Fish!Scorp was pounding on the door like “LET ME IN” and Tom!Ron was like “ I CANT”

Tom!Albus’s fake vomit after kissing his aunt was wonderfully extra and then he started trying to wipe his mouth on his sleeves

Tom!Albus was completly starfished out over the door to stop hermione getting in!

He was looking desperately around for something to say before finishing with “A HOLIDAY” and then started to kiss Hermiones arms?! 10/10 flirt there

Fish!Harry walked past them both and jumped away like he was scared Ron was going to jump on him next

Fish!Scorp looks so upset about what Albus’s dad has said to him, he cares so much about Albus.

Fish!Harrys hand kept twitching in his sleep and he kept fiddling with his hands, is that where Albus gets it from?!

Lucy!Delphi did a finger gun on wizzo, and was being so encouraging to Albus with the expelliarmus. She stuck her hand up in the air to answer the question- she seems so incredibly dorky, a bit like the boys, you can see the hints of her manipulation how she plays up their traits in herself, to gain their trust

Scorpius speaks to Albus and only really to Al he just tries to ignore the fact that Delphi is also there

Delphi held the durmstrang robes above her head and then chucked them right in Scorpius’s face

There seems to be this utter conflict in Fish!Harrys relationship with Dumbledore, he wants to be able to hate him for what he put him through but when the man is there in front of him he cracks, his “i missed you” sounded more like he missed him being around and missed speaking to him rather than like I’ve missed you at your portrait

Albus was sat crossed legged on the bed, and his legs were shaking when talking about hogwarts.

He’s so quick to rush in and defend Scorpius and is so upset that that’s how his dad sees him

When Albus is talking about Ron running a joke shop he’s grinning so hard like he’s reminiscing about all the fun he’s had at said joke shop

Fish!Harry was right up in Scorpius’s face when he walked past and then stood sassily waiting for Albus with his hand on hip.

Fish!Harry said the line “and he may not like me again” so incredibly sadly, it was such a contrast to the anger, he was just so devastated about the relationship with his son

During the whole DADA scene Lola and Craig were living for the gossip and kept turning to look at each other and then glare at Albus

In staircase ballet, Albus kept opening his mouth to try and say something, and did actually mouth a few words but I couldn’t make out what it was :(

Scorp always smiles at Albus whenever he sees him on the stairs, Scorpius still has that hope that maybe this time he won’t ignore him, when he’s sat on top of the stairs, and Albus runs through below him, he attempts to reach out through the gap and get to him.

The duel was so amazing, Fish and Gilbey have such an energy to them that is unmatched, Gilbey sassily sat on the table and went “tut tut tut” whilst shaking his finger, and on I wear it better, he reached out and licked his finger before stroking his hair.

When Ginny catches them Fish!Harry fries his best to look less suspicious

and sticks his hands behind his back and looks around the room trying not to meet his wife’s eye.

Delphi appeared so excited to be in hogwarts, she was fully trying to take everything in looking all around and imitating nearly headless nick sticking her neck out to the side.

She plays to his weaknesses so well, telling Scorpius she was ill as a child obviously evokes a lot of sympathy from him because of Astorias illness and it’s so easy to see how he was manipulated into trusting her since he sees his sickly mum in her.

Delphi is so fed up of Scorp not being able to see how much Albus needs him she was like “Scorpius NOoooOo” and rolled her eyes at the shoulder to cry on because he wasn’t getting it

During Dracos monologue He seemed like he was full on about to sob, he could barely say Astorias name without breaking down, his family is the one thing that can break down his icey barriers.

Mcgonagall fully starfished over the exit so that the boys wouldn’t be able to escape in the library scene.

When talking about Scorpius being kind from the tips of his fingers, Albus grabbed his own fingers to emphasis what he was trying to say

“That’s a nice thing to say” Scorpius reaches across and placed his hand on Albus’s knee

Scorpius came in very close to Albus as he said “I didn’t much like my life without you in it either” and his voice was all shaky like he was about to cry because he had missed his best friend so much

The new sparkly surprise was so cute, Albus lifted one hand as if it was a firework being launched into the sky, and then did three little firework explosions each complete with its own little pewwwww

When talking about making cedric larger, Albus lifted his arms out from him to mime something growing bigger

Lola!myrtle:

-> “do I moan?!” she spun her head around and kicked her legs up whilst pouting.

-> she leaned back and when talking about being partial to a Potter did a little upside down wave at a very taken a back Albus

-> C E D R I C D I G GORY - her way of saying cedric Diggory was absolutely hilarious

-> “waaaaaaaaaa” *albus rushes forward to say something else*

*does a very sassy stop right there hand motion*

“Excuse me, I’m crying” * returns back to wailing*

-> she waved Albus down the sink and then stuck her leg out across the top to prevent Scorpius from following him right away and stuck her face close to his whilst saying “I do like braveeeee boysssss”

-> the adults on their way in “uH oH” sticks hands over face like she’s playing peekaboo

-> she then proceeded to make kissing pouts at Harry

I love how in the lake Albus decides that although there’s a 5 min rule with the time turner he’s got plenty of time for a couple of underwater backflips

Scorpius is so elated when he gets out of the lake he’s so pleased he thinks everything is fixed so his first shout of Albus is all bubbly and then it slowly gets more and more panicked until he’s completely desperate and realises he’s all alone

Rosie!Umbridge put her hand on heart after mentioning Potters death, and then did some sassy hand on the hip action for “we bravely overthrew”

Butterfly Soup Asks #16

This time including the squad as DnD characters, Liz facts, Noelle getting her yaoi education, and more

I’ve only played Dungeons & Dragons once (1) in my life so I’m no expert! I’d consider my thoughts suggestions (like with my takes on the charaters’ MBTI types, which I’m not an expert of either):

Noelle as a Wizard sounds right, since she definitely can’t do anything reliant on physical strength. She would be an asshole and attempt things like building a Clone Army

AKARSHA THE BARD. Rogue sounds too cool for her

Diya: I actually want to say she’s a Ranger because the Wiki on 5th edition says “The Beast Master archetype forges a connection between civilization and beasts, allowing the character to interact with animals in certain ways including gaining an animal companion to control.“ Fighter and Knight also sound plausible though!

Min: Barbarian with high Strength and no Intelligence and Wisdom

I don’t want to say too much because I want to save things for the sequel, but here’s some stuff:

She actually played against Diya in youth leagues before she transitioned. That’s why she recognizes Diya+specifically approached her to sign the baseball club form while Diya doesn’t recognize her. At the first club meeting Liz tells her “I was at one of your games when you were little” -- This is purposefully ambiguous/misleading (sounds like Liz was just watching) because she passes and doesn’t want to out herself to a bunch of club members she doesn’t know well

After transitioning she quit baseball and switched to softball. It was weird being the one trans girl on a team of cis dudes, and additionally when she was younger she sort of felt like she had to prove she was a girl; she naturally has feminine taste, but she’d overperform it by 25%. It wasn’t until she got close to Chryssa and found out she also liked baseball that she reclaimed her interest in it

She has a nice resting face so strangers tend to ask her for directions

Sunburns easily

Akarsha was reading some yaoi so it came up in conversation, and since Noelle had never heard of it Akarsha gleefully educated her (to Noelle’s horror). Noelle was extremely scandalized that Akarsha kept sending her inappropriate images, and Akarsha was like “i’m doing this out of the kindness of my heart! it’s for ur education!! me: Master Teacher. call me sensei”

Following this Akarsha changed her chat name to YAOI SEME as seen at the beginning of the game

Diya and Noelle: Never tried it

Min: Has tried it

Akarsha: She constantly makes weed jokes but actually only does it rarely

Yes, I’m planning on exploring this more in the sequel!

Diya; Dee-ya. Rhymes with “See ya”

Min-seo: Korean way, but most characters like Diya pronounce it like Min-so, with the “Min” rhyming with “win” (not like “mean”). The “so” is one syllable (not like “see oh”)

Akarsha: uh-KAR-sha

I was planning on making the sprites blink! I’m still a bit sad I didn’t end up doing it

It’s supposed to be fall 2008 when they’re in high school, but I took a LOT of artistic liberties when it came to the references. For example, Akarsha makes a Durarara reference even though the anime didn’t come out until 2010, and there’s a lot of modern memes that ended up in there too...I couldn’t hold back...

The IGF trailer video is especially modern-day meme-wise -- since it broke the 4th wall, it was like, all bets are off. Don’t think too hard about it!

I wanted to put a lot of 90s and early 00s hits in the game for the nostalgia factor, like Complicated, Rock Your Body, Dilemma, etc. I think it would’ve made the experience even more surreal for players who are around my age!

yep! it's made in renpy! I actually started out in twine -- twine is impossible if your game is like longer than an hour and is image heavy. the engine started lagging so bad it would take 30 secs to do anything

LOL it's hard..it's a lot of money. I don't think I would

hmm...i honestly sucked at this and could only work on it on breaks lol...if you can try to work it into your school projects, like some bit of it...

12. How did you organize yourself making such a long game? Any tips?

it was SUPER hard to organize, i was really lost until i split it into 4 sections with each character. so if you're planning on making a game this big definitely think about forcing yourself into sections like that

the art was the most confusing to do bc of how many assets there were. i was going to say "have consistent naming conventions" but that's literally impossible LOL it'll always become inconsistent no matter how hard u try

13. What part of the game took the longest (writing? art?)

writing, actually, despite how much i complain about art assets. it's really hard making sure the structure and themes come across correctly. like pacing is so hard. art is like #2 biggest time sink

14. How early in did you write the Akarsha/Min skateboard scene?

that came pretty late haha i put it in at last second

15. Are the characters based on real people?

they're all inspired by combinations of ppl i know! i wouldn't say based on them, tho. for example min is like a combination of 3 friends i have, strategically arranged to play her part in the story

character design is design so u still gotta be deliberate about it

16. Who’s the other cat on the computer? (they’re referring to the cat on my desktop wallpaper)

that one's maru! he's a famous japaense cat. he's super photogenic

17. What was your favorite aspect of working on the game?

definitely getting to put specific Asian-American experiences into it

i was like HAHOH i can do this and no one can stop me! it was really fun getting to do this without any creative direction from like, a studio or anything. so i could just go bonkers. i hate pitching stuff so

18. Any writing advice?

definitely have other people beta your writing as soon as possible! they always catch stuff you missed. also this is like a cheat, make your characters really extreme. like find one aspect of yourself, and turn it up to 11 and make it into a character. that way they'll be relatable and memorable at the same time. i think most people don't make their characters extreme enough so they're all kinda samey

20. Would you eat a Gusher the size of your hand?

i’m the (??) lmao that’s me always but ahdhghdfkshg thank you so much!!!!! i’m so glad you love them, it means the world to me ;-; and listen, that was me, i had no idea how i was going to do it because i’d only seen ts3 stories up to that point and i thought there was like a set Way to tell stories but i had no idea what i was doing so i was like y’know what...i’m just gonna do it how i feel comfortable doing it and i’m gonna figure it out as i go along. so honestly try to roughly plan out what your stor(ies) will entail and if you get stuck on planning and can’t figure it out, just jump right into it, try to make a few scenes or get the ball rolling somehow, even if it’s just random posts (i mean that’s all my blog was until i decided to commit to santi’s story.) it’s always gonna feel weird and awkward at first, but you’ll get comfortable the more you do it and it’ll figure itself out, trust me!

I read through most of your story posts the other day and now I’m rereading it again just to torture myself some more (and maybe catch up on some posts I may have missed). I honestly don’t think I’ve come across a sims story that’s so beautifully written & includes such evocative pictures as yours. I’m really at a loss for words, it’s all so stunning. & after a nearly two-month long creative block, it’s planted the smallest seed of inspiration in the back of my mind, so thank you for your art.

YEAH I DID! omg. i have a LOT of issues with this season (mostly in how badly they tried to retcon nancy and everyone else not caring about barb’s death, how bad the writing was in the realm of nancy and steve breaking up and then her and jonathan getting together...holy fuck it was so uncomfortable with that 40 yr old conspiracy theorist guy i couldn’t even enjoy my ship getting together lmao) also ur right, max and billy honestly did not offer anything to the story...like i loved max too but what was the point...billy acted like their presence and the reason they had to move was so dramatic when it was really nothing...unless they’re saving that for season 3 but like. the whole situation with billy was so anticlimactic. he was like a walmart version of henry from IT. like boohoo ur dad’s an asshole and then he beat up steve. good character arc. i liked max standing up for herself but really...that whole thing was so lackluster, i didn’t care about it at all. ALSO I HATED THAT THEY DIDN’T LET MAX AND ELEVEN BE FRIENDS!! i’m sure it’ll happen in season 3 but like c’mon...that would’ve made the max character feel a little more important to the story. anyway yeah fuck billy and i don’t get why everyone is lusting after him or his actor they’re both ugly! thanks for listening

As a single mother myself I'd really enjoy seeing you take on the issue. Personally, my biggest problem was overcoming the generalizations people put on you when you're a single mom. People always assumed that I that I was stupid and uneducated because I had my son when I was 17.

yes! that will definitely come up. i will focus a lot on her struggles as a single mom. so far i’ve mostly just peppered in some stuff about money troubles, and that will come up again, and the issues you mention will be pretty central to her character as well. i’m sorry you have to endure that, it’s not fair. people don’t even realize how strong and dedicated single mothers are.

you gotta turn bb.moveobjects on and then press alt + 9 when an object is selected to move it upward. so what i did with those poses i made was, i selected a teleporter and pressed alt + 9 until it was at a spot i liked on the roof. that’s why releasing those poses would be tricky, ‘cause every build is different so there’s no set way to place them, you just kinda have to play around with them

do you have any tips for taking good screenshots in game? like how to get the good angles and good quality? i play on ultra but i think when i zoom in and then use the arrows on my keyboard to move around, the pictures gets less clear and looks kinda blurry. how should i do this?

well if you’re already using ultra, there’s not much you can do lmao. sims 4 is just bad with textures in general. it also depends on the objects as well, some are better quality than others. if i zoom in far on a sim’s face, i generally know there will be some pixelation and i can clean that up in photoshop with topaz clean and the smudge tool. i am very reliant on photoshop sometimes lmao. it sounds like you already have the basics of taking good screenshots, it’s just sometimes you have to fight and work with sims 4′s less-than-hd quality.

i searched things like “bonfire” and pasted parts of it that i wanted on the pic to make it look more realistic, then put a layer mask on the pasted pic and erased the edges and stuff to make it blend in better. the sparks and stuff i added by pasting it onto a new layer and changing the blending mode to screen!

for any skin detail or makeup, you have to go into s4s and open the package up, go to one of the tabs (honestly i don’t remember which one because i don’t have it open rn lmao) and you’ll see the different age groups and you check the box for toddler. and then save it of course. (there’s probably a better guide on how to do this somewhere lmao)

i just set mine to ts4′s screenshots folder because it’s what i was used to and it works for me haha. hmmmmmm did you copy the exact address or whatever it’s called of your folder’s location and then paste it into the reshade box? try doing that with another location and see if it works. if anything you can do what i did ‘cause it worked for me

**real names have been changed for the sake of privacy. YES i changed the name of my muslim crush and friends to christian names. If you have any advice for me or any comments, please feel free to leave them. just a regular muslim girl trying to find love (the halal way)

So nothing really has changed since i made my last update. I texted him yesterday and initiated conversation. I kinda felt weird doing it though since this whole scenario is weird in general. i'm used to him hitting me up in the mornings while he’s at work and starting a convo and tbh i think the main reason why i feel kinda iffy about messaging him first is because he had also told me in his "tbh" moment that the reason he wasnt 100% interested in the beginning was because he felt off about how i initiated us talking from the beginning. that a girl should make a guy feel lucky to have her and that he also figured that since i was the first to make the initial move, that must’ve meant i've done this in the past with other guys.

kinda funny though considering he's the first guy i've ever tried talking to. im sure he realized after the thursday meeting (if he was still unsure) that i've never done this before. highlighted by my awkwardness + shyness. i remember there was a moment where there was a silence and i looked up to him looking at me. which kinda freaked me out and made me look down, and when i looked up again he was still staring at me. and legit i looked up and down for a solid 10-15 seconds. ugh im legit sooo awkward lol why can't i talk. but on a side note i just found out that some guys find a girl being shy as "cute". i hardly think he thought my behavior was cute though lol more so annoying for the fact that we ARE friends and i didnt know how to act like one.

i know that even though when i met him on monday for the first time (since like last year), i was even more shy. I would cover my face and mouth with my hands and not look at him that much. but he was able to control the conversation and kept making jokes etc etc. that was the main difference between the first meeting and the second. i was less shy in the second meeting but i guess my awkwardness was rubbing off onto him. i dont know how it'll go this week (heck idk if we'll even still meet) but i hope that i can be more myself and show him that im not as boring and awkward as ive been making myself out to seem. and i also hope he can take control again for when i DO slip up and get quiet.

but anyways back to the whole texting thing. i messaged him and it has been kinda choppy. tbh the flow of our texts is kinda similar to the flow of how our meeting went. choppy and silent lol. i keep thinking that he probably regrets talking to me and that he doesn't really wanna have communication with me anymore. it makes me feel sad. i want to bounce back at least through our texts but im not sure how to anymore. i forgot how we used to talk and how we used to be able to talk about nothing for hours. i dont know how to do that anymore which is weird considering that its only been 2 days since i was last able to. again i guess he's being nice about it but i feel like he's partly ignoring me again. like how he used to ignore me last semester. the only thing that made me kind of optimistic was how he mentioned that if i ever do come to see his dad at their store, his dad might think i was a druggie or something since not many desis come around to that area. he was basically trying to make a joke about my presence at the store after talking to his dad about another muslim customer that walked in. so that means he at least thought of me when he was joking with his dad. and then he sent me a snap afterwards of a song on the radio. which made it feel normal again.

i guess i might be overthinking everything but i KNOW that this next meeting will probably determine how things will go. i dont want to mess it up and i've been thinking of different ways to go about it. i wanted to text him and tell him how it's just hard for me to be myself with him in person still and i need to feel a little more comfortable around him before we can develop a flow in our conversations and stuff but then i figured i might as well tell him that in person. so at least thats one conversation we can have the next time i see him. plus he's a nice guy, one of the good ones, so i feel like if i told him how i genuinely feel and acknowledge the fact that im uncomfortable then he might feel the need to make me more comfortable. i also told “Amanda” about everything and she wants to come make a "guest appearance" the next time we meet up to kinda help navigate the conversation and make me feel more at ease with her presence.

i also DONT want to meet again at the cafeteria on campus. first of all, its soooo hard for me to hear him when we're in there. i guess bc of the kitchen and of the starbucks line and everyone sitting and talking near us and the fans overhead etc etc. i realized that one of the main reasons why our conversation was so choppy was also because i had made a mental list of everything i wanted to talk to him about (in hopes of not running out of something to say) but because of my list, i kept jumping from one topic to the next without actually stopping to LISTEN to what he had to say and then ask him a follow up question. like how the heck do i forget how to listen??? such common knowledge but of course i effed up on that too lol. another reason why i dont want to meet at the cafeteria is because i dont like sitting right across from him, it feels like we are in an interview and it doesn't help me relax but makes things worse for me. plus there's nothing to really do at the cafeteria. he eats only zabihah so we cant even order food. i was thinking maybe we could go to the gameroom and play a card game like uno or something. i know he wanted to go to the gym on campus and sit on the benches for the basketball court so we had more "privacey" aka not as many people around to bump into us lol but that's also kind of scary. because then we can't have a break and talk about someone we just saw and we would also be forced to pay 100% attention to each other. i dont know if i want him to pay that much attention to me when im acting all goofy the way that i am. but i know that if we go to the gym it would make more sense if “Amanda” bumped into us since she's always there exercising to begin with.

i just hope he hasn't given up hope on me. it's so weird to think about where we were a few days ago to where we are now. we were so comfortable and honest with each other. we still are honest and stuff but we aren't talking as much. we aren't sharing things anymore. it kind of feels like we are preparing for things to not work out. but i want things to work out. I know “Bill” and “Samantha's” relationship in the beginning was similar to ours. but they had the opportunity to see each other multiple times throughout the week so they got over this phase quicker. we only have the chance to maybe see each other once a week and since its a hassle for him to begin with he might just figure it's best to give up on the whole idea. i dont want him to give up on me.

i just realized its 12:01 AM and i missed Isha namaaz. so i have to make that up. i've been praying for him in my duas. before i would pray for his MCAT score and either an acceptance to medical school or for Allah swt to show him a path that will be the most beneficial and satisfying to him and his deen. now im starting to pray again and make dua that if we are meant to be then make it easy for us. (also for us to be meant for each other lol). i guess the reason why i feel so strongly for him is bc i haven't met any guy or even heard of another guy as hard working as him, as focused as him, as god fearing as him. we match in what we want in this dunyaa. and when i think about him in my future i see someone that i can pray with and be happy with. someone that i can feel safe with. i just hope he doesn't give up on me.

just take it one day at a time.

requested. taehyung is such a cutie my heart can’t take it. this is long tbh.

lets talk about this amazing concept

started working at his mothers flower shop when he was a little boy

and he fell in love with it

he worked under her during high school

and even made weekly visits while he was in college

but when she suddenly fell ill, he promised to take care of the shop in her absence

hes very hardworking

does everything from a spur of the moment bouquet to a full on wedding arrangement

usually by himself

working for hours on ends strains his eyes so now he has to wear his glasses

roses are often the most requested

and no matter how many times he handles them he still gets pricked by the thorns

so he has small cuts all over his fingers

his favorite flowers to work with are peruvian lillies

has multiple aprons but he wears his favorite almost all the time

only changes apron selection on wash day

it’s a blue one with rilakkuma

when he’s not in the shop he’s busy studying accounting

always ends up falling asleep on his homework

and ends up having to turn in drooled on thesis’

but back to the topic

you and your fiance were looking for someone to do the floral part of your wedding

you wanted lillies

he wanted hydrangeas

it was actually something you two fought over quite often

but you eventually gave in and agreed to hydrangeas, reluctantly

your fiance was a busy, working man so he suggested you find the florist

which didn’t bother you that much

after weeks of searching florist after florist, you stumble across a small shop tucked away in seoul by accident

inside is taehyung, leaning against the counter and writing on a small notepad with his head rested against his palm

you couldn’t pass up the chance of this being the perfect florist

so you decide to scrap your original plans for the day and go in

a little bell goes off as you open the door

and taehyung looks up at you

honestly thought you were lost bc you didn’t look korean

speaks to you in a timid voice

“jongin’s shop is down the corner, miss--”

but you ignore him and start glancing over the wide selection of flowers in small pots across the wall

and hes like “is she deaf?”

so he waltzes around the corner and stops beside you

and just as hes about to tell you there’s a better shop down the way, he notices the flower you’ve been eyeing

it was the peruvian lillies

you realize he’s staring and ask introduce yourself

“i’m sorry, it’s rude to just walk in. i’m y/n.”

he’s kind of shy so he just mumbles his name back

but quickly proceeds to ask what you need

“is there a reason you’re here?”

“i need a florist for my wedding”

at first he thought you were cute

but now all that was off the table

and he was strictly business

the two of you end up discussing the arrangements you want made

“i saw you looking at the peruvians. were those the ones you wanted?”

“ah... no... hydrangeas, please.”

he can hear a hint of reluctance in your voice

so he tries to coax the reason why out of you

“the peruvian lillies are my favorite. they’d be good for a wedding!”

has a cheeky smile

but his charms weren’t working on you

you still looked a little solemn as you searched in your purse for your checkbook

so he finishes writing the order up without anything else being said

you were in the middle of writing the check when he suddenly pipes up

“what’s your number?”

and you’re like... are you serious

“i--i don’t know if you understood, but i have a fiance--”

“i need someone to call if something goes wrong in the process, don’t i?”

and you’re like i cannot believe myself

you’re standing across from him, a counter in between you two, laughing to yourself

“i’m sorry, i’m just--”

“stressed?”

“yeah.”

taehyung holds up and finger and walks into a small backroom behind him

comes out moments later with a small, plain white box.

he lifts the lid off to reveal dainty, yellow and white flowers cut off the stem.

“these are chamomiles. you can brew them into a tea. it’ll help you.”

a small grin runs across his face as you look at him, the flowers, and back up

“ah, i don’t know if i can pay for--”

“think of it as a wedding gift.”

your fiance was the root of your stress, which led to you not having smiled in a few weeks

but god did this lonely flower boy give you the smile you needed

you thankfully accept the small box and leave the flower shop smiling like an idiot

throughout the process of preparing the flowers and preparing for the wedding, you’d often drop by the shop to see how he was doing

and he’d always be very respectful, and nice, and formal

and you really, for whatever reason, wanted him to drop the formalities such as “miss”

so you make it your goal to become his friend

and with a little elbow grease and visiting often, he finally opens up to you

“yah, y/n, i think these would look great with the color scheme--”

“wait... did you call me y/n?”

“yeah, now back to the flowers!”

you’d finally gotten closer to him

and he would talk about himself sometimes

but mostly wanted to talk about you

especially why you had made it a habit of coming to the shop every day

often times you’d have these conversations after you brought him lunch from a local deli

and made a small picnic out of the counter

“does your husband work?”

“we’re not married yet. and yes.”

“does he take good care of you?”

“i guess so.”

“guess?”

“what do you want me to say, tae?”

he didn’t like seeing you so frustrated and in an unhappy relationship

but he didn’t have the heart to tell you how unhappy it sounded

every day he would fall a little more in love with you

and every day the wedding got closer

so he kept his feelings to himself

and finally the dreaded day had come

taehyung had spent hours before in the venue placing the bouquets on every table, changing their position until they became perfect

because he’d be damned if he didn’t make this the happiest day of your life

he even sat in the back of the small church, smiling as he watched you walk down the isle

you looked beautiful

you stood before your fiance with a huge grin, surrounded by hydrangeas

in fact, every single thing about the wedding was what he wanted

there wasn’t a trace of you in the building, aside from your looks and attire

but it wasn’t enough for him

“do you, y/n, take kim hansol to be your lawfully wedded husband?”

“i do.”

“do you, kim hansol, take y/n to be your lawfully wedded wife?”

the entire room fell silent as he hesitated before you

you furrowed your brows, staring at him

taehyung grew anxious as he watched the entire scene play out before him

your fiance turned to you, shaking his head as he apologize

and then left the altar, loosening his tie

and there you were, abandoned

you break down into tears, running down the aisle and disappearing

while the priest is doing damage control, taehyung ends up taking matters into his own hands

he always kept extra flowers of various types in his shop van he had parked outside

so he promptly gathered a handful

you had burrowed into the reception area, a giant ballroom

your head buried in your arms as you wept

and then you heard footsteps

you look up, expecting your fiance

“what were you doing? how could you--”

but there stood taehyung

in a scraggly jersey knit tee shirt and ripped blue jeans

and glasses resting on the bridge of his nose

holding a handful of peruvian lillies

and your heart which had been broken seemingly repaired itself

you immediately rush to pull taehyung into a hug

and he doesn’t even hesitate to wrap his arms around you

every muscle in his body ached to tell you that he loved you

but all he could muster was a cheap joke

“is he allergic to any flowers? i’ll send him some--”

is overcome with joy when he feels you laugh into his chest

about a week has passed and you have moved out of hansol’s house

and end up at the doorstep of taehyung’s small flower shop

he was the only friend you trusted, and none of you family lived in the country.

so he was your only option

you walk into the shop and see him with an older woman, sorting the display pots

he hears the bell go off and turns to you

and the biggest fucking grin runs across his face

and he greets you with a hug

the two of you spend about a minute hugging before the older woman clears her throat

and taehyung quickly pulls away and straightens his apron

“y/n, this is my mom. the owner of the shop.”

“my boy talks about you a lot. i’m starting to think he loves you more than me.”

insert taehyung losing his mind, signaling his mother to shut up behind you

and when you turn around beaming, he stands still, waving his hand with a cute smile and a nervous laugh.

“is that right?”

his mother eventually recedes to the backroom to take inventory

leaving you with a rosy-cheeked taehyung and a looming aura of embarrassment

he tries to busy himself with the flowers again to avoid eye contact

“she’s still sick, she doesn’t know what she’s saying”

“that’s too bad, i was hoping we could be roommates.”

“eh?”

of course he’s going to say yes to you

if it were his choice, he would’ve made use of the wedding decorations that day and married you then and there

but he had to play cool

by now you’d been roommates for only a few days, and you got insight onto what his life was like behind closed doors

and in the middle of one of his late night study sessions he decided enough was enough

“y/n?”

“yeah?”

“you know you mean a lot to me right?”

he cant make himself look you in the eyes

so instead he takes off his glasses and rubs them as he continues

“what is it, tae?”

he chuckled to himself and rubbed the back of his neck

“i love you.”

Thank you so much! I’m so glad you like their character development and it’s something I truly love in stories. I love it when characters change and grow. It just makes them feel a bit more dimensional and real. About 2 more chaps after 16. It’ll end at 17 with an epilogue of sorts at 18.
