I MADE MYSELF AN EARTHMOVER

The idea that earthmover plushie was something i could realistically maybe make was beamed into my brain on friday may 10th at exactly 11:23 PM and then proceeded to consume my entire weekend. i did not know if this would work but i did it. i made him. my weird lopsided dog Benjamin

(I'd be happy to write up the pattern/instructions if people are interested- I think it'd be pretty simple to recreate since he's like 90% rectangles- but be warned that I have never tried to draft a plushie pattern from scratch before and it's kinda janky as hell the way the legs are attached feels like one of those illegal lego techniques so you have to promise not to make fun of me ok)

Happy to report I have finally started listening to Malevolent and to no one's surprise I am already obsessed (I'm almost done with s2 atm please don't send me spoilers yet sdlkfj)

I'll skip over my usual formality of having one normal art post before diving into shitposts let's not waste anyone's time here

The progression and relationship of Jewel X Floyd

And more insight into their relationship

Jewel and Floyd hadn't met until their first interaction in Mostro Lounge that led to their fight. Although Jewel had her of the infamous Leech Brothers, they both never knew of each other that much.

It wasn't until her fight with Floyd that she became entangled with him and octavinelle's problems

They'd clash more and more times during the events of Book three, which actually led to Jewel disliking him and Floyd finding joy in bothering her

After her fight with Floyd and all the events that had occurred during book three, she was still salty and would started to avoid him instead of responding to him

Anytime they bumped into each other it would go either two ways, they ignored each other and continue on with their days, or they have a small spat in the hallways

It wasn't until after one of the basketballs team practices that Floyd had gone to the gym to grab something he had forgotten, that he found Jewel practicing one of her old routines that he began to be more interested in her. (She threw her shoe at him after she caught him staring at her)

When they both bump into each other, instead of just ignoring each other like they did most of the time, Floyd would start petty fight with her. Anything really so long as to get a reaction out of her

Jewel started to fight back after only the first few times, getting physical at times. She figured that a reaction was what Floyd wanted but she couldn't stop herself. (It was but Floyd simply saw it as something fun rather than a serious fight)

Floyd wasn't interested her romantically (he was he was just in denial and clueless) but he found her interesting, and fun to mess with and so he'd seek her out and annoy her

Jewel on the other hand found him bothersome and couldn't understand why he was so insistent on bothering her

During one of their usual fights, they were in an empty classroom with classmates just finishing. Jewel can't even remember what had led to their fight only that Floyd kept closing in on her, in the heat of the moment she ended up kissing him *cough cough making out* until Azul walking in on them, causing Jewel to snap out of it. Pushing Floyd away from her and running out of the class. (That was the fastest anyone had ever seen her run)

Naturally Jewel ranted about the situation to the adeuce duo. It didn't really get her anywhere besides a very grossed out Ace, a concern Deuce and some conflicting feeling about Floyd.

On the other side of campus Floyd was having a small therapy session with Azul and Jade about what had gone down between him and Jewel.

After their eye opening conversation, Floyd came to the conclusion it was actually Jade and Azul that came to the conelusion that maybe he was interested in Jewel. romantically

Meanwhile Jewel was in denial about the whole thing

She started to avoid him even more than usually (albeit unsuccessful) but now it was out of embarrassment and because Floyd went from having petty fights with her to being more teasing and flirty

Floyd began to stay back after practice simply to watch Jewel practice and would either join her in her dancing or try to copy her when she was practicing contortion

Jewel's annoyance and petty arguments with Floyd would slowly turned into playful banter and mutual teasing

As such, she started to get used to having him cling onto her at random times of the day and dubbed it as typical Floyd behavior

She'd show him small close up magic tricks to keep him entertain him and would silently laugh watching him try to recreate the same trick

Jewel didn't think much of Floyd's sudden clinginess and constant presence, knowing that Floyd was quick to get bored of things and people from what she had heard from people around school

It was that small fact that helped her be in denial of her growing feelings for Floyd but she soon started to second guess herself after Ace made a comment about how Floyd still clung onto her after several of weeks (she actually had screamed when she realize that she had feeling for Floyd)

Funny enough people around her actually started to think Floyd and her were dating even though they weren't

It was during the events of Book 4 that Jewel finally came to terms with her feelings for Floyd.

And it was after all the chaos in book 4 (and before 5) that she would actually confess and makes things official with Floyd (she refused to be the kind of couple that would automatically start dating without actually making it official - Floyd on the other hand thought they WERE dating but didn't say anything)

Mini Trivia

Floyd would eventually teach Jewel how to swim, not without Jewel pulling at his hair after the first few times he'd try to pull her under

Grim follows Jewel a lot anytime she goes to visit Floyd at the lounge. To protect her of course definitely not just for the food)

Have been seen fighting several of times but now in days it's just playful fighting between them

Anytime they actually get into an argument or if Floyd makes Jewel mad she simply ignores him. Like completely ignores him

The first time she did that she kept it up for half an hour while everyone else wondered why Floyd was being extra clingy and moody

Unwillingly became his designated cheerleader during his games

Lil Jewel x Floyd Analysis

Now, why do Jewel and Floyd work so well you might ask? Despite the differences in their personalities, both of them actually balance each other perfectly. This isn't just because of their fighting tendencies or how they both are victims of having a short temper, but it's their differences that balance one another. While Jewel is more keen on her emotions, she's great at communicating her thoughts and vocalizing what she wants and how she feels . Floyd however is known for his constant mood swings, although he doesn't have an issue voicing his likes and dislikes he still has trouble communicating in a deeper sense but, it's this trait of his that Jewel has grown to understand and appreciate the more time they started to spend together.

Floyd is able to be himself free of judgment, more with Jewel than with any other. As for Jewel she's no longer afraid that he'd lose interest in her if she becomes boring' but simply learns to live in the moments that they both share, exciting or not. Through all their exciting moments together there is always those small moments of peace and solace too. Together they balance one another and are able to work things out differences and all, Jewel being able to keep him grounded and Floyd who always keeps her on her feet.

I know it is unfair maybe but I am not upset about Yuuta using Gojo's body <- a reasonable and rightfully painful decision which is in line with what jjk is and also uses the Kenjaku/copy technique/gojo's empty body Chekhov's gun
