People seemed to like my last Upside-Down Magic post so I’m back at it!

Today I also experimented with lineless art. I’ve never done something like this before so I’m really proud of it!

For those who don’t know, this character’s name is Bax. He’s a Fluxer (a shapeshifter) who can only turn into inanimate objects. The thing is, he’s Fluxers are only supposed to turn into animals, and he can’t turn back by himself. This is what makes him upside-down!

Bax is my favorite character so I draw him a LOT 😂 he’s just so… AAHEHDUXH

i need to remake my cup bros ref… both cup and human designs… it’s been almost a year(?) and i’ve developed the headcanons and i would like to share with the class!!! (i wrote thirty tags. Please help me)

#my little hc i kinda showed in the refs but didn’t point out: cuphead’s handle appears broken/in human form his ear is halved #cause he has microtia (that also affects the eustachiantube/middle ear). basically i am a HoH cuphead truther #also to add onto that i think he has poor auditory processing issues cause i also see him as AuDHD #double also. while he would use ASL on a bad hearing day i think regularly he also uses home signs to express words/concepts #autism-related btw. it’s actually a bit visible in insert cuphead media (to me at least LOL) that cuphead expresses a lot of body language #so not liking conversation oral or signed as well as replacing oral words w home signs is in character. at least to my headcanon whatever #floats your boat!#OH! plus his split upper lip that i draw him with isn’t related to the microtia. he just roughhouses and chipped/tore his lip open when he #was younger #cuphead is also a trans boy. it feels right to me LOL #even back in 2017 when i barely knew the game or also much about trans people i saw cuphead and was like hm. hm!#tbh he just pawned his clothes onto mugman. who i’ve also changed my hc for i see him more as bigender than a cis boy now #LOL. i cast bi on mugman. sorry buddy #OH HIM TOO. im so sorry mugsy i have like two headcanons for you 😭😭😭#she uses he/she 2 me. i like casting personal parts of myself onto mugman even if i gravitate more towards cuphead/chalice #i see him as a bi ace as well. and a hopeless romantic. i don’t ship uhh i don’t remember what it’s called #i don’t ship cala maria X mugman (respect though) cause i see the cups as kids and i’m also a hilda X maria shipper LOL #but in the show. i will be real that she is a hopeless romantic. KEEP THAT MUSHY ROMANCE OUT OF MY HIGH SEAS ADVENTURE!!!!#like i said w cuphead before mugman is AuDHD (they share. many genes LMFAO)#however the difference is that they express it in different ways; while cuphead’s is more linked to his hearing/social behavior #mugman’s is more related to her emotions. i see it through my headcanon colored glasses that especially in the show mugman has more #meltdowns between the two cups #he has high emotional sensitivity both in positive and negative ways; former as in being strongly attached to cuphead and latter as in #more prone to meltdowns as well as being very literal #which isn’t a bad thing of course. mugman we are shaking hands so hard we are the same #OK that’s all the ones i want to share right now. i also haven’t shared her human or cup design i did but i’m workshopping chalice!!!!!!#i am leaving her out intentionally she deserves her own post because i luv her so much #ok post over. twenty minutes dedicated to autism about the twins out of the trio #cuphead

tbh my opinion still stands 😂 if anything, Macadoo would just blow up even worse. he would be depending on that string to show that the two of them could withstand this, that it could just be the two of them like before

but swk is bitter and hurt and trapped under a mountain for (as far as he’s aware) an indiscriminate amount of time, so he does not return that hope. he lashes out and refuses to play nice as Macky was trying to do and that is the final straw

all his faith placed on that string, and he watches and hears it shatter under the mountain. his saving grace is nothing but a false hope, so he fired back the worst of his venom that he can because the string lied. it spun its little fantasy and played with his heart and he hates for falling so its lies so easily

#also #forgot to mention this in the last post but i 100% see Macky’s codependency border on very unhealthy possessive behavior #without being aware of the strings Macky’s possessiveness is more quiet and very private #like him taking those mini victories of occupying more of SWK’s time than the Brotherhood #but add being aware? it’s just worse #he acts out a bit more #he bares his teeth when you try to ‘steal’ what is said to be his #and then that reality is shattered under the mountain and Macky is lost without a tether to hold onto #and then swk is free and he’s traveling with a monk and calls the monk master and is bound to the monk like a pet (<-Macky’s pov btw)#it’s make the whole jttw outlook for Macky even worse which is more fun for me :3 #lmk #asks #shadowpeach #lmk six eared macaque

Val’s daily to do list

This is a redraw of an piece I did last year in march. Back then it had been a few months since I created Val and one day I just thought he’d look bomb in a dress. Since then he changed a lot: He originally was meant to be a bit rougher around the edges, but since then he has become much more graceful and classy (but he’s still a coffee addicted grump). There are quite a lot of changes that came to his character, most of them subtle but they had a big impact on him!

Not gonna lie tho, the biggest change is my art. I legit didn’t believe the date that was saved on that artwork below, because I could’ve sworn this was drawn a longer time ago. Looking at him now kinda makes me irk, but at the same time I remember how dang proud I was when I drew this. Still obsessed with his arm and even if I’m not happy with his face, I did manage to capture his body type incredibly well. He’s much more caked up in the new version. Maybe the old pic is him in his late twenties and the new one is him in his early 30s, because he does gain some weight after getting into a healthy relationship with Casther (my boy is finally eating enough, I’m so proud).

Well done past me, but also I kinda wanna cancel you for not drawing a single body hair on him. Don’t blame her, she just didn’t think about it and she realized how much fun it is to draw body hair just shortly after.

One year later my anatomy is hot as shit, but I still can’t draw a decent background without a mental breakdown. I got better at drawing feet tho! And at shading digitally
