Hey, followers. I know I don't post much original content, but I was wondering if some of you would like to see things I've written based on my D&D game? I'm playing a self-insert character that was actually revived from a previous campaign, and I had a 10-year gap to fill in with story so I just...started writing exerpts of adventures. I don't actually know how many of you will see this, but if there's any interest at all (even one of you) I may start posting some. Who knows, maybe this will even get me over the hurdle of actually sharing some of my other work too

More official/proper ref of my Metalocalypse s/i 💖🫶💖🫶💖 I needed another milf for the books, I'm obsessed with it guys!
Like I said before she's the manager for @hotrodharts and @1980ssunflower and does a kickass job of it! She's meant to be something of a parallel to Charles whom she has THICK sexual tension with and possibly a mysterious past history with? :0 oooooo~ either way she's very fond of the boys, especially Toki, and in my dreams they see the both of them as parental figures 😊
EDIT: original meme by @tarraerae on Twitter 🫶
Flat colors!

they didn't lie about him being dead, they thought he was. what they lied about was that they knew he stole money and intentionally killed the two members of their unit, believing he killed himself accidentally. they lied in order to keep him from getting declared dishonorable and a traitor because his family would lose his benefits. the fact that they lied to the government on official documents would get them both retroactively dishonorably discharged. if they confess everything, that's what would happen because their statements are the only proof of what the guy did. if they arrest him on something new, its not necessary to tell the truth about the past and it would just be his word against theirs if he tries to rat them out for knowing what he did. hope that makes sense 😂
Hi anon - thanks for the explanation! What you explained does makes sense and lines up with with what I understood from last week, but it still doesn’t totally come together for me.
If they had enough doubt about Ray being dead to feel the need to make the murder pact, why on earth would they have falsified the paperwork? Unless there was some deep personal connection with Ray's family, why would they do something that would ultimately make it impossible for them to hold Ray accountable for his actions and seek justice in the future (if he did end up being alive)?
I get that it was a nice thing to do, but it was also illegal, dishonorable, and, like you said, put their entire careers on the line. By lying, they also robbed their squad mates' families of the truth and their own opportunities to seek justice and / or additional compensation. I just don't buy that making sure the family of the man who killed their squad mates got benefits was more important than all of those things.
Finally, if it truly just came down to their word against Ray's and there’s no other evidence to corroborate the truth, why even bother to insert the falsified paperwork as the reason they can’t arrest him? Not arresting Ray because they knew they couldn't prove their accusations is way easier for me to believe and understand than the idea that they were simultaneously making a pact to murder a man while falsifying paperwork to help that man's family (no matter how deserving).
And if there is evidence (and I'm sure Ray has some), we're back to Ray being able to bring them down with him if he goes down for any reason.
Regardless, I have now probably made us all put more time and thought into understanding this plot than the writers did in creating it 😂, so I'm gonna let it go and focus on all of the Chenford feels tomorrow.
Thanks for taking the time to respond anon!

parting thoughts on ragna crimson (first cour)
i think it was... the first episode? that i didn't really vibe with. felt like a decent enough fantasy, but unremarkable in just about every way
THEN A WEIRD GUY APPEAR
Tumblr media
iirc it wasn't until the second week that we really met crimson, which is kind of a shame because imo the show doesn't really start to come together until then. i like ragna well enough, but it's really the combination of the two of them that compels me
always love a duo where they have the same goal, but drastically different personalities/values/modes of operation/etc
always extra love a duo that's like "team up with me, a dragon, to kill all dragons then once we've achieved our goal you'll kill me too"
(like vanoe but with dragons. i think. my memories of vnc are actually very hazy)
and always extra extra love when ayu gets to just do his thing, playing guys who are girls who are guys who are etc etc etc
it's certainly not the best of the season, and still overall fairly unremarkable imo, but also not really bad in any way. if there's one thing i find lackluster i guess it's that i feel like they don't lean enough into this... pseudo-past life thing that ragna has going on (with the powers and presumably memories of his 'older self' passed down to him)
like ragna is still more or less his 'normal' self in terms of personality, which is fine, he's got a fun enough personality, but if he had some like... old man tendencies mixed in there, or if we saw more of his memories with crimson maybe? i don't know, just feels like something more could have been done with that fusion of past and present (or rather future and present)
looking forward to the second cour but at the same time... hoping this series won't be too long lol

Hi Anna!!! I have a question for you. I came across a gifset of 6x09, the phone call where Buck tells Hen, Chim, and Eddie about the baby. Eddie sure didn't stick around for that conversation! He's visibly a bit bothered by it, but he doesn't say anything. And I think that's because he's trying not to steer Buck in any direction now like previous events, but I just think he has SOMETHING to say about it! Anyway, do you think he would bring it up at any point and would it create problems for Buddie?
Muah!
Hi, baby <3
Okay, long story short: unless the baby becomes a thing that's actively harming Buck, I don't think Eddie is gonna say anything. It's done, the baby exists, he is not a possibility, he is an actual human out in the world so whatever feelings he may have about whether or not that was a good idea don't matter, because he's not an idea anymore. And even if we end up with buddie and somehow that kid becomes a conversation topic, it's not Eddie's place to say Buck shouldn't have done it, and he knows it, I think that's why he acts the way he acts towards it, he knows it's not his place. I can see Eddie snapping if it becomes something that's creating problems for Buck that he refuses to acknowledge but using it to create problems between them would be just stirring up drama with the least interesting thing they could pull from the deck of buddie drama, because Eddie would never actively try to hurt Buck more by bringing this kid into the conversation.
And regarding the whole thing while the baby is still just a concept, Eddie likes to push against the line of thought Buck is trapped in, sometimes because he's actually about to give some solid advice, sometimes maybe just because he's testing how set on this way Buck is. He only found out about the donation once it was a done deal, Buck had a lot of time to sit and think about it by the time he finds out, considering Eddie finds out right as Buck is about to make the donation, and Buck never goes to him to talk about that, so even though is pretty clear he thinks Buck is making a mistake, Buck never asked for his opinion while it would change anything, so he just ignores whatever concerns he may have.
I think Eddie has a better perspective on what being a parent means to Buck than Hen does because while we like to say the whole team knows, we don't really have that many scenes with Buck and Chris with the whole crew, so Eddie is really the only one watching Buck be a parent on a regular basis, and the question Hen asks, the "can you be a father and walk away" is the real thing that could create problems because one, Eddie is a father who walked away, he went to war and he did come back, but even he admits he ran when he was in the army, and two because he's been watching Buck not walk away for years, so he knows if Buck gets too involved, he's not gonna be able to walk away, and that's the concern I think. Sure, there's the fear that Buck is just believing the whole "they had me for parts" and is giving away even more of himself, and problems that the donation could bring for Buck on a bigger scale, but I think specifically with 6x09, Eddie is listening to Buck refer to himself as a father to a child he will have no involvement raising and he's worried Buck is gonna crash from that too hard if he keeps thinking about it the way he is, but he also thinks Buck doesn't want his opinion, because he never asked, and now the baby is real, so he backs away.

While I could see Toga's status as alive going either way, I feel I'm not exactly the best judge since I'm also the person who got confused at the line "is that the face of someone who just watched a friend die?" and had to carefully go through chapters 266 and 267 and read them FIVE TIMES before I realized that yeah, Twice had actually died

Sooo last year I heard about Dracula Daily and was like "but I just read Dracula myself! (a year earlier. actually one of the last books I read before starting this madness.) Nope, it's too fresh in my mind, have fun without me, internet" and then I just vaguely checked in with what people were saying whenever it was trending.
And so this year, I don't have any excuse anymore, and we are about 91 books away from my last read of Dracula, so I guess this is it, then.
Hi. I am reading Dracula Daily this year. I plan to post about it sometimes. But it's probably gonna be very infrequently, and definitely not with every update, because I'm not as creative or chatty as I'd like to think.
Consider this post a warning, I guess. For the next six months, there is a non-zero chance I will suddenly jump out of the woodwork and scream about a 126 year old book.

new year new philosophy regarding fic: max 20 tabs open and waiting as tbr. no more massive "i'll save this for later" sprees. no more "let me just sort through this entire tag for things that might interest me at some point". no. no more. be in the moment. stop collecting, start paying attention. love patiently.
also: take notes while reading, of things that touched tangibly, or resonated surprisingly, or vibed uniquely, so that those parts can be specifically adressed when thanking the author.
