Purity!

Shoutout to like one of my first OCs literally ever being Purity the Sheltie! Well decided sometime last year to revive her, then decided a month or two ago I'd finesse her design to something I like! So here she is, my girl! <3

She's a meteorologist who started livestreaming when Dr. Eggman would attack with his Badniks. With the help of various weather radar and camera sites around the continent, she was able to start helping folks have a pretty good idea of where the Badniks would come next.

Something something, story details I haven't decided on yet, and eventually she makes it into the Restoration doing the exact same thing for them on a much bigger scale!

She's fun! I like her :D

Purity is not Maria in the slightest but I always thought it was funny that they're so similar by complete accident. Mostly because when I made Purity, I was designing her after myself. And I happen to have blond hair and blue eyes and, at the time of first making Purity, my hair was kinda long WHEEZE. Just funny coincidence nothing more

Purity was always meant to be a Sonic OC, her original story was that her necklace (a gift from her grandmother) had transported her via Chaos Control from earth as a normal human girl, to Mobius as well. A Mobian. And she had to learn how to live in this new world away from her family and friends.

I don't really jive with the story anymore for a variety of reasons including but not limited to Purity's necklace being inspired by an IRL necklace I had in fact gotten from my grandmom, who I now have a weird relationship with. But yk it is what it is. I'm really happy with the story I'm working up for Pure now, since I'm really just kinda being silly and having fun. Cringe is dead, I'm gonna make my silly little Sonic self insert and I am gonna make her interact with the canon characters because it's just fun! Who cares if it's 'weird' it's just fun!!

but at the same time you're not allowed to criticize the comic or anyone involved with its creation at all because they worked so hard on it and it's mean to say critical things about something they spent a lot of time and effort on why are you being so mean, as if this is just some personal project they're producing in their spare time and NOT a piece of merchandise that I paid money for." Yeah, that's the thing. They get paid, we don't. I can pull an entire Sonic visual novel out of my ass, but I don't receive payment as part of an implicit legal agreement with Sega that it is a non-profit project which I cannot capitalize on. They won't put out a C&D for a fanwork using their IP and music. IDW, on the other hand, are freelancers. They get hired to do this work, and you would think "selling the product for a profit" means it shouldn't be held to the same standard as something someone created online for free. Furthermore, this is a team effort, sans the times they force Evan Stanley to pull triple duty. They (supposedly) collaborate. They (supposedly) get their work edited. Sega (supposedly) slaps them on the wrist so they can stay within the lines. Fic writers don't have those helping hands making the work a lighter load; the onus of quality lies mostly or squarely on them.

...So what does it say when IDW goes through all of this quality control, and it still comes out the other end reading like bad fic?

People's rationale for mocking our work seems to be "talk shit, get hit." What they don't realize is that it's not that high of a bar to clear when the competition fails the most basic things you'd expect of a story. That even a "mediocre" fic, by mere virtue of having coherent storytelling and consistent characters, can outpace IDW.

My work may not be Shakespeare, but at least it's comprehensible, you know? And that's not even getting into the fact that nobody seems to be snickering "heehee fairy magic, lmao horsie OC" when the fic is good. Mostly because that would reveal their motives as petty Schadenfreude.

Frankly it just reminds me of when people hype up Sonic Mania by going "LOL THE FANS MAKE GAMES BETTER THAN SEGA CAN LOL SEGA CANT MAKE GAMES AS GOOD AS SOME ROMHACKERS!" and it's just like is that supposed to be taken as a compliment?

If I was Ian Flynn and Evan Stanley or anyone else involved with the comic, I would not take my fans going "LOL LOOK AT THE CRINGE SELF SHIP FANFICTION THESE LOSERS ARE MAKING, YOUR COMIC IS SOOOO MUCH BETTER THAN THEIR CRAP?" as something to look on with approval. I would be fucking embarrassed and ashamed. It's so juvenile and creepy and pathetic and insincere.

I can't speak to how those people actually feel about it, maybe they're incredibly petty and insecure and maybe seeing people claim their comic is better than free fanfiction people write in their spare time makes them feel better about the work they produce. All I can say is if that IS the case then that says more about them than anything I ever could.

Sonic.EXE Self Insert/OC:

Back at it again with another oc but this time it’s sonic. I don’t know if you guys remember but if you followed my previous account before I accidentally deleted it I had a Sonic.EXE self insert but I didn’t provided much detail on it besides a sketch. Now I decided to go more in detail in it and create it as a self insert/OC. This was mostly inspired by Monika from Ddlc since I actually had the idea from when I first played Ddlc back in 2020/2021. - Chernobyl = Chernobyl is pretty much known for being a surprisingly calm and collected character. However he kind of loses himself when things aren’t going his way which is rare. He always thinks about his choices, considering the advantages and disadvantages to each situation making sure it turns in his favour. He’s also very sadistic but he isn’t outright about it (compared to other EXE characters who are also sadistic). He has an extreme hatred for humans. This mostly stems from his views on his creator but now he just assumes everyone is the same. He’s also very manipulative and surprisingly very convincing. Able to convince even the most stubborn characters. He also isn’t afraid to blackmail or guilt trip people, often using people’s own words to get his way or when he is losing control of said person.

So if the characters files have been deleted or tampered with he pretty much loses control (unless he was the cause of it). It’s especially worst if his file is the one being tampered with or deleted. He can be deleted but it’s not temporary for now.

Backstory:

- It all started with Chernobyl creator Mary and her friends. Mary as well as her three other friends had just recently graduated from college with a degree in coding. At first she didn’t know what to do like everyone who just graduated from school. So she ended up playing some sonic games to get her mind off of it. That’s when it hit her, she should create a sonic fangame. So she ended up calling up her friends and told them her idea. Eventually she managed to convince them and headed on their way. However at some point along the way Mary ended up creating an error in the code and created Chernobyl. She figured there wouldn’t be any harm having him there so she ended up using him to finish off the game but disguised her true intentions. Eventually though Chernobyl figured it out and decided to kill her inside the game as well as her friends who were somewhat unaware to certain extent who Chernobyl was. He decided to finish the game himself and pretty much kill anyone who comes in contact with him and his game through the characters provided in the game (characters: Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Dawn [Main host], Eggman).

List of my Ninjago Aus

I figured I should make a list of my Ninjago Aus that I can link to my pinned post since sometimes the Ninjago hyperfixation comes back. I'm only including aus that I still have interest in working on, so if an au isn't on the list, it's probably safe to assume that I don't have interest in working on that au (so you shouldn't send asks about it)

Bad Endings Au: An au based on evil versions of the ninja from different timelines, usually referred to as the BE!Ninja. Each ninja has their own origin story explaining their downfall before they all get transported into the main timeline where they team up to take out the normal versions of the ninja

Next Gen Au: Follows a timeline separate from Dragons Rising (since I made it way before that came out) that follows the future ninja, Shayla, (bruise kid and master of lightning) Tara, (other bruise kid and master of earth) Fallon, (oppo kid and master of ice) an Trixie (daughter of Pythor and my oc Asashi)

Purified Au: An au where instead of being destroyed at the end of Rebooted, the Overlord is just left in a weakened, child-like state with amnesia who the ninja find and decide to raise. The Overlord gets named Oliver by the ninja and it mainly follows Oliver as the ninja try to hide the truth from him, fearing that he'll revert to his evil self if he finds out who he truly is.

Weresnake Au: An au where instead of being fully cured from the fangpyre venom, Jay instead becomes a 'weresnake', turning into a feral serpentine form when he gets too cold.

Anacondrai Curse Au: Initially taking place during the Tournament of Elements, Chen experiments on Cole to try and use an alternate spell which ends up 'cursing' Cole and making him appear partially like an anacondrai, and causing him to turn into a full anacondrai at random moments.

Fangdroid Au: An au where Zane gets bit by a fangpyre during Rise of the Snakes where he runs away and ends up teaming up with the serpentine after they manipulate him.

Dragonblood Au: An au where the elemental masters are knows as Dragonbloods and can turn into giant, rampaging dragons. This has caused people to fear them and hunt them down. The ninja form a team and fight against the dragon hunters, their main enemy being Garmadon and his army of dragon hunters. There's a lot to this one that I don't really have time to explain further, so if you really want to know more you can probably find more info about it on my blog.

Pokemon Au: Pretty self explanatory, it's Ninjago characters but in the world of Pokemon. Lloyd is the champion and the other ninja are gym leaders (alone with Pixal, Skylor and Morro to make it 8).

Black Knight Au: It's the plot of Sonic and the Black Knight but with Ninjago characters. Kai takes Sonic's role and get transported to this other world where he meets people who look like his friends but aren't quite the same. He also needs to learn how to become a knight in order to defeat the evil and corrupt King Arthur.

Storm Vessel Au: Taking place during the events of The Island, when Jay gets 'sacrificed', the storm energy around the island ends up corrupting him and turning him into a chaotic and destructive entity that is basically the embodiment of the storm. It's very similar to Nya turning into the ocean as it's basically Jay turning into his element. He occasionally has moments of clarity where he turns blue and is in control of himself, but for the most part he's chaotic and doesn't listen to reason.

Mirage Memory Au: The ninja find a strange artifact that creates a new fake reality where they all have fake memories and don't remember ever being ninja and they don't remember each other. The only one without fake memories is Lloyd and he has to try and get the ninja back together so they can get their memories back and fix their reality.

Scorched Au: An Au about Kai where he never unlocks his True Potential and gets left behind by the others at the volcano. Filled with his desire to be the Green Ninja and a need to prove his worth, Kai goes down a dark path to try and show that he is the Green Ninja. Basically a villain Kai au where he becomes another Morro.

3. Speed, Flight or Power type?

Soda is the power type for sure, she doesn't seem like it but she is the strongest hedgehog of her family, strength wise.

Scout is the speed type, totally taking after Sonic in that sense

4. Do you ship them with anyone?

(Quick Juli sidenote: when I'm talking about relationships, romanticism and sexuality, I specifically mean the older/adult versions of the fankids)

Scout isn't really the type to be in relationship with anyone really so a no for him

Soda I could see with a few ocs, tho not sure if it's shippable

In general if I could see them in a ship with someone in the future, Scout no - Soda yes

11. Do they have any rivals?

I think as siblings they are always going to be each others biggest rival and trying to out-compete the other

Outside from either, Scout, if he met him, would strangely see Metal Sonic as a rival

Young teen Soda wouldn't really have anyone she would call a rival, late teen/young adult Soda would see Wave as a rival when she starts getting into the mechanical and racing stuff

22. How are they with technology?

You could get Scout to hold a game controller and he would play any game decently but you couldn't ask him to turn on the game console, so, debatable

Soda likes to act like she knows all the technology and that she is up to date with all her digital knowledge, truth is that she only knows how to write a code when it's relevant for a mechanical project to her, so she's clever with it but not as clever as she seems to be

29. How would you describe their personality?

One word for each of them:

Soda: friendly

Scout: adventurous

But in longer form:

Soda is definitely the friendlier one out of the two, she may be quieter but not shy. That makes her better at just listening, but she sucks at comforting people, which sometimes comes of as uncaring. You come to her to vent she will be all ears, she just likes to be a shoulder to cry on if you need one. The world is sometime unfair, but she will have your back and defend you. She would be a person to pick up a litter of stay kittens in the middle of a rainstorm to warm them up inside. But she is not unreasonable, because she would know that she couldn't keep them, so she seeks out people she knows take good care of them. She's very clever and likes to think her stuff through, that only works tho when she is in a calm and not hectic mindset. There are also a few insecurities that she carries but she tends to hide them well from others. She's tough tho, she will power through anything. But sometimes she forgets to settle down and drags others with her.

Scout is a ball of excitement if you let him be. He likes to talk and explore and to find stuff that interesting to him, keywords: interesting to him. Cause if if he thinks somethings boring he won't even bother to acknowledge the task. He's a bit of a trickster and a rebel. In his mindset rules are ment to be broken. Scout likes making friends, doesn't matter who or how if he likes you you are stuck with him. Even if his older self calms a little bit the trill of adventure never leaves him and he is always on the chase for the next big thing. Just like Soda he will stand beside someone to help them through hard times. He will always act with his best intentions but he messes up often, he doesn't mean to, but he does. He doesn't let it show but that irritates him a lot. He rather let's his anger build up than talk about it, something he unfortunately inherited from his parents.

Introducing my Ninjago next-gen OCs! They’re the children of the Ninja and the protagonists of Succession. Their Toyhouse profiles are almost finished, but here’s some basic info until then! Haven’t found time to properly draw them out so all I have rn are Picrews 🤪

Cora & Fritz Walker

Jay and Nya’s kids (and twins)! Cora is the master of lightning and the oldest of the group. She acts all tough and serious but she’s really a giant nerd, especially when it comes to the history and culture of Ninjago. She also loves doing her makeup and dressing cute! Fritz is the master of water and very much a free spirit. He loves the water (whether it’s swimming or just being near it) and Fritz Donnegan movies (he was named after Fritz Donnegan so it was fate). These two struggle to get along because of their conflicting personalities, so they have to learn to communicate and work together.

Rin Garmadon

Son of Lloyd and Kira (OC). Unlike the others, he was born with no powers, and to this day no one knows why. He’s loved all things heroic (comics, movies, etc.) since he was a starry-eyed little boy, and aspires to be a great hero himself, like his parents were. Basically lives in oversized hoodies and beat-up sneakers. Like his mom, he tends to doubt himself and has lower self-esteem, and likes to watch the stars at night.

Zephyr Julien

Child of Zane and Pixal + master of ice! Their parents built them with the help of Cyrus Borg, who absolutely adores his grandchild and spoils them rotten. Zeph is a genius like their parents and is especially interested in biology + mechanical engineering. They love cold drinks and sweaters, which they wear year-round, and fight with a pair of handmade titanium gauntlets that shoot sonic energy. Deep down, though, they harbor insecurity over the fact they aren’t human.

Carmine Smith

Daughter of Kai and Skylor + master of fire! She’s a sassy ball of chaos who loves dares, pulling pranks, and generally causing mischief. She and Kai are basically best friends and partners in crime, with Skylor usually having to bail them out of the shenanigans they get into. Carmine is the strongest fighter of the group and takes training very seriously. Though she means well, her temper and lack of patience tends to get her into trouble.

Sierra Brookstone

Cole’s adopted daughter + master of earth + baby of the group. She was born with congenital myopathy (specifically the fiber-type disproportion), a condition that makes her muscles weaker among other things. Loves to sing, and is trying to teach herself to play the guitar. Staunch environmentalist and proud plant mom; she started a garden at the Monastery, and her room is so full of plants it’s basically like a forest. She even has the ability to control plant matter, so long as it comes directly from a source of earth.

My First Sonic OC

Hello everyone! So I wanted to start my first post on tumblr with a Sonic the Hedgehog OC I’ve created. I can’t draw though, so if any of you want to make fan art of her, I give you permission, just please credit me for the original character. If you have any questions about her feel free to ask! Anyways here she is:

Name: Viktoriya (Tori) Zika

Age: 23

Species: Sable

Gender: female

Sexuality: pansexual(she/her)

Height: 5’2

Weight: (don’t ask; she’s SUPER self-conscious about it!! [It’s 154-don’t tell her I said that though..])

Eye color: Dark Brown

Hair color: it’s naturally brown, but it turns cyan with light blue streaks when she turns her powers to the max.

Powers: Tori has sonokineisis. She can manipulate anything having to do with sound: sound waves, speakers, etc. She also can use echolocation to communicate. Her power is especially strong when coupled with electricity. She can also manipulate all types of air pressure. Because of this, she can create black holes anywhere she wants by largely increasing the air pressure. Tori also has the power of shock absorption. She can reduce the effect that physical blows give her by absorbing the power. She can then take the energy from said blow and release it ten-fold to the puncher.

At her highest level of power, (When she turns into her Super form) Tori can detect and manipulate anything that can be considered “sound.” Her connection to the concept of sound itself basically means that she knows any type of sound made in the universe. Her hearing is so sharp that when she hears the sound of a pencil on paper, she can tell what is being written just by those sounds. Another kinda dark thing-so the beating of a heat works by fluctuations in pressure to move blood through the body. Since it technically is sound, she can manipulate it. In other words, she can literally stop someone's heartbeat. 

However, Tori’s power has its limits. (These limits don’t apply when she goes Super though) Since sound is vibrations sent through a medium to be detected, Tori’s powers either won’t work in space or are very weak. So she either can’t hear things in outer space, or has slight hearing loss in space because the vacuum of space doesn’t have anything for sound vibrations to travel through. To deal with this, Tails placed special hearing implants in her brain that control the volume of sound traveling so she can detect it better.  Also if she overuses her voice while delivering a sonic boom or similar, she can risk straining her vocal cords too much and getting laryngitis, in which recovery could take days or weeks, depending on the severity.

Appearance: Tori is a brown-furred sable with brown, curly, medium-length hair with hazel-colored highlights. Her highlights glow cyan when she uses her powers. She has a medium-lengthed bushy tail that is the same shade of fur as her body. She has dark brown eyes that glow cyan when she uses her powers. Tori also has a small birthmark in the shape of a treble clef in the middle of her forehead that also glows when she uses her powers. Tori’s main outfit consists of a ‘skater-girl’ outfit: a back tank top with a loose-fitting plaid red shirt over top of it. She wears high-waisted black denim jeans with a black belt that has a treble clef symbol on the buckle. She wears white high top converse shoes that have a heart with a treble clef over top of it on the sides. She also wears a black beanie on her head. She is not much of a makeup person, like Rouge is, but when she does use makeup, it’s usually foundation, mascara, and a little bit of turquoise eyeshadow with faded wing-style eyeliner. When she goes into her super form, her fur turns a darker shade of brown while her entire hair turns cyan with turquoise streaks.  

Personality: Tori is very shy and introverted. She tends to keep to herself but is nice once you get to know her. She is especially bubbly and outgoing when it comes to things she is passionate about, such as music and history. (She loves museums so much and hopes to work in one someday, particularly a natural history museum) However, she tends to be lazy and procrastinates a LOT, so she’s not very athletic (haha). Tori has anxiety and ADHD, so this can cause her to be very disorganized. She sometimes has anxiety attacks, usually as a result of dehydration and tends to shy away from social gatherings. However, upon meeting Team Sonic, she slowly came out of her shell and became more comfortable around others. She doesn’t really like to be confrontational and tries to stay out of conflict. However, she wants to stand up for those who are being bullied and mistreated, especially if it’s someone she has a close bond with. Tori also seems to have great comebacks when someone is bullying her. Tori wants to learn to grow and be confident in her powers, but she knows herself it’s not easy, especially when it can be very dangerous.

Kay so my dinahollie daughter oc is named Lizzy. I probably should organize a doc or something going more in-depth on how her powers work but the basics is that her canary cry is VERY powerful and bc she can’t hear it she instinctively goes to a pitch that can be felt instead. It’s a very low pitch unlike the high screech of her mom and it’s a lot less directed, instead coming off more like a sonic pulse then something that can be aimed.

The logic I’ve been working with is that canary cries have limits triggered by the same part of the brain that keeps you from biting off your own fingers. While black canary ears are stated to have a special protective layer that protects her from her from loud sounds she still has limits. When Lizzy lost her hearing as a kid, she lost the mental block that limits the volume of her canary cry. She can basically set off a sonic bomb with a whisper. Unfortunately she also struggles to control her powers and has to put in a LOT of discipline to not make any verbal sounds, as she can’t really separate between normal verbalization and use of the canary cry.

Not being able to verbally laugh or cry or even whimper when in pain effects her emotional state a lot. She can’t really afford to have any bottled up emotions so she’s very very expressive and open about what she feels about pretty much every single topic. Shes putting almost all of her self control points into controlling her powers so she’s also very impulsive and can be a bit immature. Other heroes when they first meet her tend to put off by her, as she comes off as very childish and petty in more casual settings but tend to change their minds when they see her pull a bullet out of her arm in stone cold silence.

She has her dad’s strong sense of justice and temper and paired with how she is constantly emotionally exhausted from controlling her powers means she is very very open whenever she has a problem with someone. Ultimately she becomes a bit of moral compass for her generation of the justice league, very quick to point out when other heroes pull bad stunts or use their power inappropriately. When she found that old man Batman was spying on her, (worse: using her aides to spy on her) she made sure EVERYONE knew what he did and exactly how extremely pissed off she was by it. While admittedly a lot of the “what is Lizzy pissed off about today” things are on the more petty side of things, she does end up pointing out a lot of genuinely bad stuff that the others hadn’t even noticed or processed as bad until Lizzy pointed it out.

Unfortunately learning sign language was very difficult for her as she used to a be very verbal thinker like her mom and losing her hearing forced her to completely retire how she processes information. She basically refuses to learn how to read lips bc 1) she hates making eye contact and 2) if you are worth her attention YOU will find a way to communicate with her. 3) every time someone tells her she should learn they will relieve a long essay/lecture on how lip reading is difficult and imprecise and that it’s shitty to expect deaf ppl to learn when it would actually be easier if hearing ppl just learned sign language. She has a special watch that allows her to project holograms with text on it and will shove her messages into the faces of anyone who tries to ignore her when she’s talking to them. (The watch is what old man Batman planted a tracker inside, and she made it very very clear how much of a violation that was.)

Lizzy is also a very playful and silly gal who loves her friends also she’s a lesbian :)

Pup:

She loves warm weather and sunny days. The feeling of fur blankets and the sound of a dry wood crackling in a fireplace. She prefers tea to caf, but it isn't as readily available since Wolffe drinks caf so much, so she can drink either easily. She likes wearing socks inside, and being sandwiched between Wolffe and Wolf when they're sitting on the couch or laying in bed. Her favorite color has to be grey, but not a plain kind. The specific one is the color that glints in the light when Wolffe turns his head just right. It's thickest at his temples, but it's certainly her favorite.

She hates snow and rain. Actually detests it. The texture of plastoid and the sound of it brings back far too many memories -good and bad- so she stays away from it as best she can. Wolffe also refrains from wearing it into the house. He'll remove it before coming in, and stays out of sight should he have to put it on. She isn't a fan of visitors like she used to be, and there are special knocks set in place for close friends like Rex who drop by so she knows exactly who is at the door. Oh, and the color yellow? Revolting. It makes her stomach turn. She still has nightmares about the Sunshine Trooper, and that bright yellow sunshine painted on his helmet.

Duchess:

She loves the smell of metal and blaster oil. (Think WD-40 on a hinge or in the bolt action of a rifle that's been freshly greased. Her favorite sound is the low rumble of Crosshair's laughter when he's trying to hide it. It's low and husky, almost dangerous. She can't get enough of it. Dutch loves riding speeder bikes, but doesn't get the opportunity to do so often. Her personal one -before it was sold- was painted matte black, and had chrome accents. She adored it. Duchess likes Fall best. Bright leaves and a brisk breeze that feels comfy in a long sleeve and jacket? Practically spiritual.

Dislikes Kaminoians. They're cold and somewhat soulless, it makes her nervous and she does her best to ignore/avoid them as often as possible. Really hates the sound of a gunship's sonic boom entering a planet's atmosphere, it brings up bad memories. Cannot stand hearing a "ghost" reference, or any mention of an apparition of any kind. Avoids synonyms of the like, and refuses to look at "spiritual" imagery for any amount of time. Dislikes the taste of alcohol, and only does drink out of peer pressure or social expectation to do so.

🍋 Does your OC act petty and jealous easily? What sort of things make them feel like this and do they experience guilt for getting so worked up? How do they deal with these emotions when they get them? If your OC doesn’t feel like this often, why not?

Pup:

She isn't a jealous person by nature. There are a lot of things she can control, and the emotions of others are not one. From her time taking care of troopers, she learned very quickly that attachment to others is healthy, but worrying about them leaving -or anything else- is a self-destructive behavior. Yes, she worries for their safety, but when Wolffe came along, his feelings towards her and the security of that was never questioned. "What is for me will be, what is not will pass." is a phrase I came up with for her early on, and I think that fits her well in general. Pup doesn't force things, and she understands the difference between being truthfully concerned and/or unfounded jealous thoughts. Plus, Wolffe never gave her any reason to develop any jealous motivations or habits.

Duchess:

This poor girl can't help getting a little jealous. She means well, but there are always a few lingering moments where she wonders what other people think about Crosshair, and what it would take for someone else to capture his attention. Dutch has spent a lot of her time basically competing for attention or accolade, and that leaks into her relationship with the Batch's resident sniper. Being a woman is wonderful, but compared to genetically modified clones isn't a fair contest. Yes, she's more than competent... But they're simply better in some respects, and that does bother her a bit. And in human nature, self-doubt can be multi-dimensional. Therefore, Dutch can sometimes feel like her accomplishments are lacking overall, and this means that Crosshair could find her lacking or want to find someone who possesses what she doesn't. This is wholly self-inflicted, and Crosshair does nothing to reinforce this in her. Really, it's all self-image and she's got to learn how to accept herself like Crosshair already has. Of course she feels a little guilty about it, because Cross never deserves it, so she dials it back. But in all honesty, Crosshair loves it and does what he can to assist her in overcoming the unhealthy part while still enjoying how cute she looks getting hot and bothered over the simple idea of someone else hitting on him.

Pup:

Oh boy, where do we start? Droids for starters. She hates them. They have recording capabilities, and when she was taking in troopers it was always a risk getting her groceries delivered. That's a capital crime, and all citizens -and droids- are considered mandated reporters of said crimes. Wolf's 'reporting growl'. Pup learned early what that sounds like, and it always means danger. Rarely is it heard, but she knows it like a fire alarm. It's deep and guttural, raising chills on her skin. Wolf always knows a threat when it's coming. He's never been wrong. Clone armor can still put her into a panic if she's not prepared for it. Wolffe or not. Seeing that visor, and remembering how her last day on Coruscant ended tainted her view of the armor and it's the quickest way to give her a panic attack. Wolffe learned the hard way when he didn't announce himself after coming in the house after a mid-winter hunt. Pup was nearly inconsolable, and Wolffe could hardly touch her. It was a hell of a night. That's when they both agreed the armor never came inside the house. All of Pup's fears stem from PTSD. She does what she can to manage, but there will always be lingering moments of lapse that result in screams, cries, and a lot of reassurance from Wolffe that everything is going to okay and that she's truly safe.

Duchess:

She hates a sonic boom of breaking atmosphere. Phantom Squad and their 'controlled' crash made that sound heartbreaking. Luckily, when a ship is properly pressurized, you don't hear it. So it's fairly easy to avoid hearing it. On landing pads though, Dutch doesn't hang around more than fifteen minutes. (Average time between ship landings in a controlled environment.) Any mention of Phantom Squad or the word "decommissioned" in conversation. It's an automatic response: panic, increased heart rate, hyperventilating... The works. It's fairly avoidable, and she's great at hiding it. But it's not always easy. Dutch also struggles with in the moments before and after a mission. This also stems from her past assignment to the Phantoms. No reassurance of the outcome take a toll on her mentally, and it takes a lot of concentration and professionally to stifle those emotions beforehand, plus a lot of patience with herself to relax after the mission is over and blasters are holstered.

Hey. I’m back and this time I’m ready to talk about the Plot™. Let’s talk about everything Sonic Adventure 3 was supposed to be.

Before I get ahead of myself, let me first introduce this concept with the fact that Sonic Unleashed (2008) was meant to be Sonic Adventure 3, but after heavy criticisms toward the franchise after the flop of Sonic 06 it was scrapped and changed. Sonic Adventure 3 was also confirmed to originally have Shadow and Knuckles, meaning that the plot I’m about to explore has to have important ties to those two characters specifically.

Now then, that doesn’t mean that ideas from the original Sonic Adventure 3 concept weren’t repurposed for Unleashed. As a writer and an avid Sonic lore fan for ~18 years, I’ve taken a good look at Unleashed’s plot and singled out certain elements of the story that seemed like they got washed down to fit the new narrative of Unleashed. It goes as follows:

the corruption of a character important to the main plot (later became the Werehog)

an amnesiac Guardian with forgotten knowledge of the Chaos Emeralds (later became Chip)

geographical locations of importance relating to the lore of the Master and Chaos Emeralds (later became the Gaia Temples)

a dark, ancient power that happened well before the events of Perfect Chaos ~4,000 years ago in SA1 (later became Dark Gaia)

some sort of importance pertaining to the sun and moon

Let’s start with how the plot probably would have involved Knuckles and Shadow. Knuckles is the well-known Guardian of the Master Emerald- but also just as clueless as how he came into the position in the first place, as originally stated in a now-archived character profile on Knuckles. The plot of Unleashed was already heavily centered around the Chaos Emeralds, so it’s safe to say the original SA3 plot had similar ties with the Master Emerald.

Shadow’s is... a little trickier. Shadow was originally meant to die at the end of SA2 but was brought back with various contradicting backstories due to becoming an instant fan favorite. Chances are, SA3 was going to go more in depth on Shadow’s creation and life aboard the ARK- along with how he survived the fall from space at the end of SA2. I’ll go into more detail about how else he would have been important to a possible plot later.

Now then, let’s start analyzing the parts that actually made it into Unleashed. Corruption, Amnesiac Guardian of the Emeralds, temples across the world, an ancient and powerful force that threatens modern day, and the symbolism of the sun and moon.

Sonic, the main character of Unleashed and the franchise itself, is corrupted to where he’s unable to use his normal powers half the time. It takes a toll on his character as he’s, in a way, lost his sense of self and is desperate to restore his original self and powers- eventually he comes to terms with the new abilities of the Werehog, which is an important plot point as well.

Chances are, Sonic wasn’t originally supposed to be corrupted. With several important, reoccuring characters to choose from it’s understandable that Sonic got the short end of the stick when the cast got severely downgraded to Sonic, Tails, and Amy. So, who else with significant importance to the plot was supposed to get corrupted?

Chip. Or, for lack of SA3 plot, whoever was originally designed to be the amnesiac Guardian introduced in the game. A lot of context clues can be pulled from Chip’s character and story as a whole from being happy-go-lucky and interested in the wonders of the world they can’t remember to the importance of Adabat with how it was that specific temple that helped him recall his origins. Seeing that Adabat is also infested with ruins, it’s safe to say that something pretty terrible must have happened there at some point in the past. The originally scripted Guardian must have come from Adabat and, lilke Chip, was supposed to recall their past at it’s temple.

Speaking of Temples

Unleashed introduces Gaia Temples- large monuments meant to reignite Chaos Emeralds should they ever be damaged. These temples must have had greater significance in SA3, as in Unleashed they’re chopped down to all have the same interior and cutscene. My theory is that each Chaos Emerald belongs to a specific continent, but not neccessarily in the order that they’re restored in in Unleashed. Chances are, these temples were originally meant to be Master Shrines that were once a part of an ancient cycle the Master Emerald followed- I know this might seem like a stretch but hear me out:

In this screenshot of a flashback from SA1, we see the Chaos Emeralds aligned in a rainbow pattern- White, Purple, Violet, Cyan, Green, Yellow, and Red. While this can easily be shrugged off as a design choice, it would be more interesting and plot enriching if a cycle of sorts were introduced- such as the Master Emerald relocating whenever it’s damaged (which would explain why it’s suddenly in... Africa (?) in SA2- it would be following the pattern of Angel Island being the White Shrine and the Purple Emerald being the Sandopolis/Mazuri/Egyptian shrine. The Master Emerald isn’t necessarily at a Shrine when it’s introduced in SA2, but try and keep your mind open about this- in Unleashed the main narrative is restoring the Chaos Emeralds... what if it was originally about restoring shrines?

In SA1, Tikal explicitly mentions the fact that during the Echidna conquer the Knuckles Clan had been attacking the holy places of other countries- could she have been hinting at the destruction of Master Shrines to break the cycle and keep the Master Emerald and all of the Chaos Emeralds in their territory to give their clan unlimited power? It would explain why the Chaos Emeralds seem to ‘randomly’ scatter after being used as well- their resting places have been destroyed and they’re lost without a home. A fully functioning shrine with all the Emeralds would give unfathomable power, as seen in S3&K with Hyper Sonic- a form that Sonic can tap into when balance is restored among the emeralds.

Now, we all know that classifications do really well when introduced in Young Adult fiction (See H*gwarts Houses, Greek/Roman Demigods, Owl House Covens, etc.) and it can be easily implemented in the Sonic franchise as well. Not only with the Master cycle, but with the Chaos Emeralds themselves. There’s been a few confirmed powers linked to the emeralds such as Chaos Control and Chaos Blast- Chaos Control allows users to warp between space and time as seen in SA2 and 06 while Chaos Blast- introduced in Shadow the Hedgehog (2005)- allows users to release a large burst of power as a defense/attack mechanism. Chaos Blast is linked with a fiery red which could link it to the red Chaos Emerald. Red symbolizes passion and strength; it’s color is usually meant to warn us of danger, meaning it’s linked to both our primal fears and the instincts we’ve developed to survive over years of evolution. I’d like to introduce the concept of these powers being blocked if their emerald is damaged in any way- meaning Chaos Blast wouldn’t be accessible via other emeralds if the red one was damaged. I’d also like to link these emeralds to their specific Guardian, meaning that if their Guardian is damaged in a way that would prevent the cycle to continue, the emerald could die out as well. If you’re wondering if these Guardians would exist in the game then have no fear becuase they WOULD and 85% of them are characters we already know and love (I will NOT introduce all of them because I Do Not Wish To Spoil It, but this is definitely where Shadow would play a bigger part like I mentioned before). There is, one, however that we don’t know and that’s because they were reimagined as Chip for Unleashed- the Guardian for the green Chaos Emerald from Adabat. (I ended up making a fan character for this role as you can see in the last installment, but it would be lame of me to force an OC into the game if given the opportunity).

Let’s move on before I go any further into crazy fan-theories. A main villain would need to be introduced- something that Dr. Robotnik/Eggman would want to get his hands on in hopes of conquering the world (a trope we’ve seen before with Chaos in SA1, the Ultimate Lifeform in SA2, and Dark Gaia in Sonic Unleashed). Chaos was, essentially, the first domino to fall over in the pattern introduced in the Adventure games. They were only a small speck in the bigger picture though, as we see that Gerald Robotnik must have taken some inspiration from the stories and depictions of Chaos and created the BioLizard in hopes of harnessing the energy in the Chaos Emeralds. He would later get the idea from an unknown source to instead create a synthetic Hedgehog user, possibly from studying the well-known mural in S3&K’s Hidden Palace Zone:

But there’s something else in this mural we all seem to be forgetting- what is the big figure holding (possibly) the Master Emerald? Well :)) I’m glad you asked. I believe this was originally meant to be the main antagonist of SA3 who eventually became Dark Gaia in Sonic Unleashed. Some sort of powerful being that had some sort of forgotten knowledge pertaining to the Master Emerald.

But there’s more. The Hedgehog-like creature is surrounded by a golden aura, but it isn’t the only one. Behind the creature are 6 smaller aura’s seeming to try and attack the antagonist while it’s preoccupied with the hedgehog. This could depict seven Chaos Guardians using the energy of the restored shrines, all seven Chaos Emeralds and the Master Emerald to become Hyper Versions of themselves in order to defeat this powerful being. So, who could it be? If Chaos introduced the BioLizard and they were both defeated, what could possibly be hinted at in SA2 that would introduce the main villain for SA3?

Well.

OKAY OKAY HEAR ME OUT

We know very little about King Boom Boo and he seems to be a pretty unforgettable character for a reason. There’s something about him that must have been important for a future game. Granted, a lot of this levels design is taken from Sandopolis-

(See the light/dark triggered ghosts from Sandopolis in S3&K vs. King Boom Boo being weakened by light in SA2; see also Egg Golem from S3&K and SA2)

-which also leads us to the Lava Reef zone which then leads to the Hidden Palace Zone- the location where the Master Emerald is first introduced (assuming that these are all the same place) . Could it be possible that the Hidden Palace Zone was once the original and only location of the Chaos Emeralds? What could have possibly happened to that kingdom for it to be buried and haunted for an unknown amount of time? Personally, I believe King Boom Boo committed the ultimate taboo of the Sonic universe and tried to harness the power of all the emeralds to power his kingdom- much like the Echidna’s tried to do and were ultimately punished for as well. History has a funny way of repeating itself like that. Only this time, in modern day, the power hungry monster is Eggman who’s been trying harness the various ultimate powers the Chaos Emeralds can grant. In SA2, we’re also introduced to the concept of a synthetic Chaos Emerald- a fake that can grant a user the link to use other Chaos Powers mentioned previously, but not an infinite power source like a genuine Chaos Emerald. It wouldn’t surprise me if this concept was meant to be further explored in SA3 and present multiple dilemmas for it’s plot. Nevertheless, there’s something about King Boom Boo and the concept of making a deal with the devil that is rather captivating.

Finally, let’s talk about the sun/moon aspects in Unleashed. Obviously these symbolize dark and light, good and evil, yin and yang. There will always be something to fight for and something to fight against. SA3 was meant to have the battle to end all battles. Sonic and six other powerful beings were supposed to work together to fight the greater evil and restore peace and balance until the next Eggman scheme. There was supposed to be something important that would happen once peace was restored. Things were supposed to go back to the way they were before the Echidna’s began conquering and pillaging the world ~4,000 years ago.

Now, obviously I’m ignoring the lore of a LOT of games (modern Sonic games made after SA2, most notably) and this is because there is a hidden plot among these few games. Shadow the Hedgehog (2005) is nine sonic games in a trenchcoat and was only made because of the fandom loving Shadow. Sonic 06 has always been a standalone game from the original series, The Chronicles series aren’t even made by the same people from the Adventure series, etc. Although, I would still like see characters from these games make an appearance.

Anyways... did I do it? Is Mr. SEGA gonna bust into my house and kill me for knowing too much or will he kiss me on the lips soft and smooth and let me turn this concept into a reality? The choice is yours.

I don't have as much of a grasp with her as the others, so hopefully she'll form well with others. Yes, she's based off of Mina Mongoose.

Yuki Tomoe Age: 15 Occupation: Singer (part-time), resistance member (currently, part-time) Personality: To say Yuki is strong willed is an understatement. When she sees something she must do to help others, no matter the personal consequences, Yuki can rush headlong into the fight with no thought of the consequences. At the same time, she usually remembers her limitations, and is careful to plan her route to complete her task. Yuki tends to get fearful when she gets trapped, and as such Yuki tends to keep on planning and following her plans as she can. Anyone who disrupts her plans or outright ends up making her feel trapped will often find themselves on the more cynical end of Yuki’s personality. Yuki’s anger often boils low enough but will ignite if she finds herself in a dark situation or trapped. Once with Eggman, Yuki ended up blasting half of his base just because she was caught along with Cream. She has not been caught by him since. Ever since then, anything that causes her frustrations to rise can and will immediately, as Yuki feels worthless when she starts not being able to keep up with the others. Yuki enjoys singing to people as much as she can – often looking for the next gig as much as she can. However, because of her lack of guests, Yuki does not often get enough to get by. Yuki loves the ability to create stories/feelings with just only her voice, and often enjoys showcasing this ability fully. Yuki also enjoys having an ability she can connect to her family, whom both have experience in the music industry. Strengths: Yuki’s singing voice is one of the top tier voices of the Sonic Universe, able to either lull any child to sleep, or blow eardrums out with her mezzo-soprano voice. She can change her range from her current voice; a mezzo-soprano, to a soprano, all the way down to a tenor, maybe even down to a baritone if she tried hard enough. This is all thanks to her Chaos Ability; her voice being elevated to the point of throwing burly men off their feet. This also comes with a neat paralyzing trick for anyone within the right range – where the sound of Yuki’s shout immediately disorients/confuses anyone too close to Yuki. Her voice also is strong enough to shatter anything it cleaves through – the ground, buildings, whatever – nothing would be able to withstand the power of her voice. Another ability Yuki found since the Station Square incident was that she is now able to move and learn at a faster pace. While she only moves faster compared to her pre-Station Square self, she’s found that she’s able to pick up new things faster than the average person. Yuki had always been a fast learner before the incident in Station Square, and the chaos energy that flows through her now amplified it. As such, Yuki has gained the ability to fight not long after she had gained her powers, hoping that it would prevent the next time she got herself stuck completely. Like Amy, Yuki has taken boxercise courses – allowing her to punch fast, hit quick, and allow her to get out a shriek or two. This is how Yuki and Amy ended up knowing each other. Weaknesses: Yuki’s song ability is highly situational, unable to be used without her being highly stressed. She found this out when she tried to fight some crooks with her voice, only for it to creak and croak immediately when fear took over. Further, her vocal cords also cannot discern friend from foe, and can cause collateral damage no matter the location, like shattered glass from buildings when Yuki used it during a fight in Central City. It is an unpredictable and violent power, and Yuki cannot control it as much as she’d like. While Yuki’s picking the ropes up quickly, she is still a novice in many regards. On top of this, Yuki cannot plan on the fly, as she gets stressed instantly due to lack of experience. Yuki tends to go overboard in training, to the point that she has passed out from exhaustion a few times. Yuki is also hydrophobic, thanks to the Perfect Chaos incident; she cannot deal with any body of water deep enough to submerge her. Hobbies: Singing is one of Yuki’s favourite pastimes, something she’s done since childhood. Incredibly talented in both writing and making songs in general, Yuki enjoys making and creating songs, and hopes to one day rise as a pop star. Her abilities were amplified thanks to the chaos energy flowing through her, which makes it difficult for her to get into the industry. Thanks to its ability to activate when it hits a certain high-pitched note, Yuki had trouble at first controlling when she’d activate her power and where. Other hobbies include:

Dancing: Yuki is just as good at dancing as most of the characters are. She enjoys moving to the tune of both anyone else’s music, and her own. Oftentimes, Yuki believes that if she can groove to her own music, she has done something right.

Collecting: Yuki has a habit of collecting art of all kinds – from the obscure to the most well known, Yuki often collects art from struggling and unknown works. She donates as much as she can to help other artists.

Makeup: Yuki keeps a collection of makeup, which she uses for her shows. She tries to find and use the cruelty free brands, preferring the makeup that lack animal testing or using animal material to normal makeups made using them.

Likes: Manic, Singing, being good at things, dancing, having fun, being with friends, understanding her limits

Dislikes: hurting her friends, getting stuck, unable to fight back, hurting the weak

Backstory: Yuki Tomoe was born to the traveling Kenjiro Tomoe and Yuna Loveless, a songwriter for a popular Daitochian band and a well-known songstress of Adabat respectively. This put a load of pressure onto her to do well in the profession, but she enjoyed the art of making music and did not feel bad about the sticky situation. However, despite her parent’s foot in the industry and Yuki’s own enthusiasm for music and songs, Yuki and her band never left the bar scene to be picked up by a major recording studio. Yuki didn’t mind at all, from what she heard of Daitochi’s idol industry* and the stories of the lack of respect her mother’s coworkers gave her for being from somewhere else.

On one such gig, Yuki was to perform at Station Square when Angel Island had fallen on Zamayectan. Not realizing the dangers at the time, Yuki planned to perform at Casinopolis. Over the next few days, she was nearly bashed in by a robot gunning for a pink hedgehog, Casinopolis was closed for repairs thanks to a red echidna (that she didn’t even realize

existed

still), and the city

nearly

being destroyed only to end up being saved by a yellow fox. She paid little attention to most of the news at the time, not realizing the dangers she was getting into.

When Chaos rampaged in Station Square, Yuki was at the epicentre of it. Having been late to wake up (the gig was cancelled and most of the crew had left for their next gig), she was about to head to the main train out of Station Square where she encountered Chaos, summoning the water that would flood the city. In fact, Yuki nearly ended up

drowning

in the flood that devastated Station Square, nearly becoming another mark on the tally if it weren’t for a big purple cat finding her and getting her to safety. Thanks to being at the epicentre, Yuki’s lungs and vocal cords were

covered

with chaos energy, granting her with a voice so powerful it could destroy

anything

.

Since then, Yuki became upset as her newfound power caused trouble for her already fragile music career. Her soft voice became a scream every time she hit a specific high note, causing damage to the bars even more than there already were. Most of the buildings these bars are in are usually condemned, anyways, so the bars that she had been going to close as soon as the building falls. As it became clear to Yuki that her newfound powers would not be going away anytime soon, she started retraining her voice to keep it from activating when she didn’t need to use it. After getting kidnapped by Eggman, Yuki became more invested in training herself, wanting to keep herself safe. Her parents agreed with the idea, allowing Yuki to learn from top masters in self-defence.

To prove herself that she was better at helping others, Yuki decided to help protect Vanilla’s precious daughter, Cream, one time as a favour for the rabbit having babysat for her as a kid. At first, the girl and rabbit weren’t sure of one another, in a constant stare contest for an hour. It wasn’t until Yuki asked about Cream’s chao that they got along, talking about things like food they like or things they enjoy, with Yuki showing off her musical abilities. Up until Vanilla took too long getting back that day did Yuki and Cream end up looking for her – only to end up getting caught by Eggman. However, this kidnapping triggered Yuki’s trauma from Station Square, and set off her Chaos power. This forced Eggman to drop her in his first base and run off with Cream instead. Since Yuki’s newfound power was still highly untrained, it immediately knocked her out, keeping her from learning the events of what happened until Vanilla woke Yuki up a day or two later.

After that, Yuki ended up training with Amy for a bit, taking in boxercise courses and being Amy’s partner. At first, training with Amy was great – Yuki was getting stronger as Amy was training herself to become independent. Unfortunately, Amy became harder and tougher, making Yuki frustrated as she started to fall behind, eventually getting so angry that she left. Eventually, Yuki returned to music, her voice no longer a problem for anyone within the vicinity.

Theron was even more fastidious:  birth control implant, condoms, and pre-exposure prophylaxis for all partners, male or female (in SW universe, I imagine that PreP exists beyond HIV applications and can encompass a broad-spectrum of sexually transmitted diseases/infections/viruses, since we are dealing with the potential of sex with various alien species).  He didn’t want to repeat the error that brought him into existence, and he really didn’t want any risk of something keeping him out of the field for any duration of time. 

During the Rishi op, while in the Thief’s medbay, they both confirm that a) they’ve told the truth about having implants; b) they’ve both told the truth about being clean.  

The first night they sleep together -- and every time thereafter -- they break the rules they previously had for partners.  No Pre-P, no condoms, just the birth control implants.  Theron felt everything for the first time, and so the first few times they had sex (five years apart), they were somewhat mind-blowing experiences.  He had never taken so much risk in this area -- but he’d also never felt so safe as he did with Eva.  It’s him finally being attached to someone. They’re in a monogamous relationship...  and she doesn’t mind his periodic diagnostic scans on her birth control implant to make sure it remains 99.9% effective in cooperation with his implant which is 99.7% effective. 

D - Dirty Secret:  Well, since they aren’t using condoms, sex can get messy. 

And Theron loves it. 

He likes the feeling of recklessness that comes with it (even though it’s safe-ish sex).  He likes to feel how hot and slick she can get, whether it’s on his hands, in his mouth, or when he’s inside her.  She likes that she can feel him throb when he finally releases inside her.  It’s a good night when they make each other break a sweat and the afterglow is punctuated by sloppy kisses, because both of them can’t muster the discipline to be neat or sweet about it. 

This sort of ties back to Theron’s attention to aftercare; it’s not just evidence they did something being removed.  When they clean up, it’s seeing how turned on the other person was, how hot they were, how pleasurable it all was, how many rounds they went before they were done; the bigger the mess, the more self-satisfied they are, especially if he’s left her in a state she can’t help with aftercare... or if she has left him in a semi-incoherent daze with set of ruined sheets due to the intensity and volume of an orgasm. 

Eva has a water shower in the Thief, so clean-up can be more sensual compared to the sonic showers that typically populate the SW-universe washrooms.  So the shower at the end is part of the fun of aftercare and motivation for getting dirty in the first place.

Steve started running as soon as he heard the screaming start.

He left the campsite in the grove at top speed, which for him was very very fast. Putting the small dampening devices in his ears, he burst out of the trees to see Arcadia in the pavilion in the distance.

Stiles was already next to her, trying to talk to her but seemingly making no headway.

Skidding to a stop, Rogers crouched in front of his wife, pushing against the sonic waves coming out of her mouth. The earpods the Doctor invented may stop his eardrums from bursting, but it didn't make her screams any less powerful.

He managed to grasp her forearms, already covered in black paint. Looking at her face he could tell she was trying to control it, but she was in full banshee mode. Her skin was deathly pale, eyes glazed over, blood seeping through her dress. He hated seeing her like this, hated not knowing which trauma she was struggling with in the moment. Not knowing how to help, and even if he did, knowing she wouldn't let him.

Arc!" he shouted. "Arc can you hear me? Look at me!"

The Doctor had told him not to worry, that he would be there for her whenever this happened. He said it was a defense mechanism, but why would that make him feel better? It just reminded him that she was being attacked from the inside. And that he couldn't do anything to save her.

Merlin was in the scroll room reading when he heard the banshee scream outside. He lifted up his head, looking at Arthur in concern.

"Is that-?" Arthur started.

"Arcadia," Merlin confirmed.

Grabbing the strange ear devices they had been given, they put them in and went outside. The sorcerer looked around frantically before seeing a blur - who he assumed was Steve - speeding in the direction of the pond.

The two arrived at the pavilion to Steve trying to talk Arcadia down, while Stiles held her hand. The scene was frightening, but it reminded him of the times back in Avalon - and even in Camelot - when Arthur had recklessly thrown himself in front of magic for Merlin.

The sorcerer stepped forward to see if he could help, but walked into Arthur's arm. He was holding him back, looking between his eyes in fear. "The parasite," he mouthed over the noise. Merlin looked over and saw the black paint once again dripping from her hands, and he swallowed.

"Don't touch me," she had said weeks ago to him as she cried. "Please Merlin, you have to promise me." Stiles had been holding her at the time, their blackened fingers intertwined. "You can't let the paint touch you. He'll use it to get to you, he'll get inside you and feed off your magic. You're magic Merlin, you're pure power and light and he'll attach himself to you the first chance he gets. You can't touch the paint."

He had promised at the time, frustrated and not understanding why other people could. But Arthur was right: he couldn't take that chance. He had to protect him.

The screams started to falter for a moment, and Arcadia seemed to be blinking away her blindness the best she could. Stiles squeezed her hand, rubbing his thumb over her small anchor tattoo. 

"Yeah," Steve affirmed, placing his hands on her hollowed cheeks. "Ground yourself doll, focus. I'm right here. We're right here."

Her eyes focused on his, just barely, and she took a harsh breath. "Steve," she managed to murmur, before pulling away from him. "Get back," she whispered in warning. Quickly, she materialized her trident, stumbling to stand and leaning against it for support.

Steve stood up too, meeting her gaze intensely.

Her eyes swept from him to Stiles, then to Arthur and Merlin standing off to the side, whom she apparently knew were there before he did. Then, suddenly, she plunged into the pond.

Alarmed, he dove in after her. She was at the bottom of the water, trident in hand. He didn't know what she was doing, how could he? He knew she did crazy things sometimes when she was infected like this, but now he had no idea what was going through her mind. Was he making her do this? Was he trying to drown her?

Steve didn't realize at the time that she wasn't breathing, couldn't remember that when she was undead she couldn't drown.

When he got close enough to reach for her, his wife turned with glowing eyes to look at him. He knew her well enough to read her expression: "You self-sacrificing idiot, what are you doing?" And then, she screamed.

i have some things to get off my chest, since i've been thinking about this.

this is basically on minors and the internet, from my own experience. i was first using the internet since i was about 7/8 years old, completely unsupervised and no parental controls. as a kid, i was just using sites like webkinz and club penguin, and looking up sonic shipping stuff. i first came across porn because of that, but was blissfully unaware of what was going on. my first oc was a sonic the hedgehog self insert with no boobs which speaks for itself.

over the years, i became more curious about sexual content on the internet, i think i saw some gravity falls porn at about 12/13 years old. and it went from there. it led me to discover content from none other than shadman, and i remember looking at his content for inspiration and ideas for my own smut stuff, commented about twice(and got responses both times which is..weird), i remember thinking about things like being friends with him and him drawn porn of my ocs, and i consider it all how deep i was into it, and eventually just stopped looking at that stuff and still feel ashamed about it.

and at the same time, i had discovered fictional beastality porn and kept looking at that stuff out of morbid curiosity, it gave some reactions but i also get those from writing smut so i know it was just because it was sexual, even if it was...you know. that led me to get morbidly curious about this site i was using having something real and there was indeed something there which i believe i saw more than once. and it still haunts me to this day.

none of this makes me feel like a good person, this is something i'm currently struggling with, but have found support with my friends at least. i look at all this and consider this me being a dumbass teenager who didn't know what i was getting into, and didn't understand the full weight of what i was looking it. it's a cautionary tale to be careful what you look at on the internet when you're young, because you may just come to regret it, like i me. and i got out of this and am much more careful with this stuff now and am at least thankful i wasn't doing things like lying about age in NSFW spaces, i never said a word about it, i just lied about my age for youtube and da accounts lol.

alright here’s how I’d rewrite Infinite and ergo some of the plot points of the games story.. it  got long i got a little carried away lol........................ 

Infinite’s name probably isn’t that before he becomes a tool of destruction thing but I don’t care all that much to name him something else rn 

he also doesn’t have a sword because that’s really not necessary and I don’t know how to make that relevant at all 

forget the mercenary thing because it makes no sense that he was “hired” by eggman and that’s also boring. The jackal squad is a nomadic, robin hood type group that steals from bad folks to help other animal people villages in need 

to make character relationships.. matter a little bit more, OC is a long time childhood friend of Infinite and they still see one another a decent amount despite the jackals moving around

I don’t really care how or why the phantom ruby exists in fact I’m just realizing there’s a huge discontinuity because according to the COMIC it just.. existed arbitrarily like a chaos emerald, but according to the GAME it seems to be something Eggman fabricated, since there’s “prototypes” in play??? hm hm okay you know what I’m feeling ambitious let’s make both make sense. There is one true phantom ruby that exists, eggman finds it, where ever I don’t care. some legend about, this ruby can bring your ultimate fantasies to life! EXCEPT you need to have, idk, a good heart, a heart of gold, to use it and eggman doesnt have that so he can see the illusion of his empire but it wont become reality 

eggman thinks okay well, maybe if I fabricate copies of it I can make a version that will work, which I reckon doesn’t make them “prototypes’ anymore but just, copies, but close enough. however, they still don’t work 

now cut to jackal squad raiding eggman for his cool shit. maybe they catch wind about this whole “bring your fantasies to life” power and want to use it for good and they know eggmans vibes are rancid. in any case the jackals make off with a ruby (a FAKE one uh oh!) but not without infinite losing an eye and gaining one big unsightly scar from a fight w/ eggman and he’s like Shook about that but he’s like hm well at least I stopped that terrible guy from harnessing this power (oh no bitch u thought..) 

of course the jackals dont keep their spoils but WHO ever could be trusted with this legendary gem thing?!? oh none other than You, Original The Character, aka Infinite’s best friend .............. so he gives the ruby to OC and tells them like, idk allegedly this can make ur dreams come true but I don’t know how it works...oh my eye? yeah I sure used to have two of those but dont worry about it, anyway ttyl stay fresh  *saunters off, jackaly* 

because the fake!ruby is.. fake, it just seems to be a dud at first so OC just hangs onto it as a keepsake 

eggman, pissed about his shit getting stolen and worried what could be done with it sends robots out to hunt down infinite, kidnap him, and drag him back to eggman’s base and demand the fake!ruby back. infinite naturally refuses to tell him anything especially at the cost of putting OC in danger, so he’s like, blow it out your ass

eggman is like HAHA WELL U DUMB SHIT you stole a fake anyway and I have the real one right here.. he uses the ruby to suddenly spawn a bunch of robots and infinite braces himself for the attack... except they go right through him because they’re just illusions. eggman is like FUCK !! DAMMIT! WHY WONT THIS SHIT WORK!! Infinite uses eggman’s tantrum time to rush in to snatch the ruby. when infinite touches it as its in eggman’s hand, however, all the illusion robots become “real” (probably conveying this through effects/opacity), taking them both by surprise. infinite is unable to take the ruby before getting hit with a full force attack from a robot 

infinite is incapacitated and eggman grins,  like, inch resting...................... you seem to be able to make the ruby work... I will now use you for malicious purposes >:) (cut to black) 

NOW when Infinite is in the tube, 1) he already has his mask because the scene with him putting it on and monologueing about abandoning his old identity is unnecessary, it’s more symbolic here, 2) he’s amnesic and I know we did that with shadow already and I don’t mean to overuse it, but I think it works well enough in a different way for this story! Shadow had some fragments of memories and an identity crisis, but with Infinite, his memory is completely wiped (or perhaps suppressed?) and his only understanding of himself is that he was “created” to work for eggman. Even MORE importantly! the stakes are raised because of Infinite’s relationship to the OC--Infinite cannot remember them which makes attacking them a lot more heart wrenching ESPECIALLY when we get to a point where OC begins to recognize their brainwashed best friend using one of the (apparently) very same rubies given to OC to try to destroy them with

this also adds more tension to all the scenes where Infinite is taunting and threatening OC on a quite personal , rivalry-like level? Infinite would, over time, begin to get an inexplicable sense of familiarity with OC, which causes him to hesitate and hold back 

oh and as for the fake!ruby, OC does use it to defend himself just like the first time! it ends up being successfully activated because OC shows a strong will to protect the other civilians. if you haven’t caught on to my cheese, both OC and Infinite have hearts of gold and thats why they can use the rubies. eggman is cheating though by fusing Infinite to the ruby and using him as a proxy for his bad will..... and again, coming back to the cheese, Infinite’s heart cannot be changed and he is not truly “evil” so that’s like, how this is working 

I’m way too lazy to fix everything scene by scene because there’s also just SO MUCH wrong with all the other characters and plot but I’m just focusing on fixing Infinite and making him more interesting so I’m skipping to the end..  

I’m not entirely sure how I’d order the bosses and what I’d wanna do with the eggman robot phases  the whole things was a big mess............I kinda wanna go with what I THOUGHT was going to happen after beating up giant robot thing and then that squid robot breaks out??? and I thought it was going to be Infinite cause that would be much more dramatic? So lets go with that---When Eggman says like, well fuck infinite who needs him? i harnessed the power of the ruby into my robot, he means he literally trapped Infinite in it like, wired up and shit to use him like a power generator. fucked up. Infinite breaks out after that phase of the battle, and he’s like, in so much pain and glitched out on overclocked energy he cant even control what he’s doing.... commence TRUE final boss battle (it can still be a tagteam with sonic), and it’s sad and dramatic! OC pleads (or I reckon sonic, maybe the other heroes too since they talk during fights! like since OC doesnt talk) infinite to remember his true self because they dont want to destroy him 

once you’ve depleted his health bar, I’m going to go ahead and use the game’s weird addition of quicktime events to fuel more cheesiness (B/C THIS IS SONIC...WHY DID THEIR “POWER OF FRIENDSHIP” MORAL END ON SUCH A BLAND, UNEMOTIONAL NOTE IN FORCES??? shadow didnt fall to his (alleged) death in sa2 for this..............) and you quicktime OC HUGGING Infinite, like jumping towards him and grabbing him in an embrace type of thing! and when OC makes contact with the ruby, it activates, making all the probably hostile glitchy  battle terrain or whatever dissipate, infinite stops being like.. idk lookin like he’s being electrocuted, and his mask fades away .. exposing Infinite as his true self once again 

the in between the lines intent here, again since OC doesn’t talk, is that OC’s fantasy was to bring Infinite back so they could be together again. you’re welcome to interpret that as romantic, or platonic, it doesn’t matter! it’s open ended! it’s just supposed to be cute!  

idk and then emotional stuff, I’m not entirely sure what it doesn’t really matter the idea is that Infinite is like, remorseful of what happened but everyone ofc forgives him because it’s not his fault , and then he joins up with with everyone to help fix the world! hmm I’m torn between Infinite keeping the true phantom ruby or giving it to the OC, like giving it to the OC makes sense, but for the sake of like, hypothetically bringing Infinite back in a future game and having special powers, it would be perfect if he kept it and that was his thing, he uses the power of virtual reality to help people and fight evil and whatever  

I dont know I guess there’s not a lot of sense in thinking too hard since I just remembered none of this is canon whatsoever and we’re probably not seeing Infinite again unless as a stock evil thing to beat up like metal sonic 8′)
