sadly right now i don’t have any finished comics to show off as I only recently got the time to seriously work on my art BUT i do have a variety of projects that i can show off! there’s some stuff i’m actively working on and other stuff that’s more of a back burner thing but let me list out everything i’ve done/have planned on doing

1) angel bites

ok so my current project i’m working on right now is called angel bites and it’s actually going to be a fun lesbian erotica comic about an angel girl and devil girl who are bandmates and who secretly hook up on the side. i’m currently in the process of thumbnailing this one and i’m guessing it’s gonna be around 60 or so pages. once im done i’m gonna have the comic up on patreon/have it for sale digitally on a platform like itch.io BUT the first 20ish pages are sfw so I will post those publicly for free so i can show off my work and characters.

i designed these in universe pin ups that i haven’t posted publicly yet and even though i wanted to wait until i finish the third one in the series that’s a little sillier theyre my most recent and best looking art of the characters

2) sacrificial lamb

sacrificial lamb was my main focus for a bit but i’ve taken a break from it for the time being to work on other projects. it’s a more serious project than anything else i’ve been doing but it’s one i’ve been planning out since 2021 and that i do want to seriously look into getting published when it’s finished. it is a lesbian horror comic about a butch lesbian rabbit whose femme cat girlfriend gets sucked into the darker side of new age spiritualism. here is my WIP of the cover and a finished page

3) claw wrench

this is a lower priority project of mine but one i still want to make exist in some form one of these days. it’s about a teenage cat named milly going to live with their estranged super genius mad scientist half sister named mindy and her robot assistant mr. rogato. it would be a newspaper strip style comic with a few larger plot threads. i might start it up one of these days after i’ve gotten some other comics under my belt and i feel like i have a better mental image of what i want the writing to be like. here’s some designs i did in 2021

4) be mine, valentine

this is a project featuring characters of mine who i’ve had for a few years but only recently decided i wanted to turn into a short story. it’s about a peryton coder named cupid who is unbeknownst to herself a trans girl egg discovering her identity after being hired by a trans girl sex worker unicorn named valentine to help build a website for her work. it’s a short but sweet little love story that i have to plan out better before i seriously work on it but i can see it being something i make in the near-ish future. there will be some nudity and sexual themes but nothing pornographic so i will upload it for free online when it’s done ^_^ sadly i um…don’t have a sfw drawing of valentine yet LOL so you’re just gonna have to deal with a cropped pic

5) thalassophobia

this is probably most relevant to peoples’ interest who follow me and something probably remember. thalassophobia is a really big steven universe fan comic i started writing to give lapis a more complete arc. i had a lot of passion for it back in 2022/23 but steven universe hasn’t been on my mind as much recently so it’s gone on the back burner. still i put a ton of work into it so i’d like to come back and finish writing it one day, although for the actual comic process i might see about getting some help on pages and colors and such since considering the scale i think it’s way too big for me to do solo. here’s a cover and a few test pages i did

My thoughts on VTMB2

Yeah, I think we're all thinking the same thing. This isn't the Bloodlines 2 we were originally promised and were looking forward to. This is something entirely different. While the previous version by Hardsuit Labs was never going to be a AAA or even a AA game to begin with, this one by The Chinese Room looks and feels like even more of a budget title. The footage and assets are several years dated now and the gameplay still looks like a WIP. That's not necessarily a bad thing given they only have so much to work with in a limited amount of time. But what makes me feel really "meh" about the title is instead of taking what the old team did (with Mitsoda's writing, Rik's soundtrack, etc) and finishing it up, The Chinese Room had instead chosen to rework it into their own thing, only recycling the old art assets and not much else. I can tell from the recent trailers, their blog posts, and their games portfolio that they're not going to make it faithful to the original Bloodlines. The tone of the game and their ideas don't match up with the gothic punk aesthetic that BL1 went for, instead going for an urban fantasy neo-noir vibe. It's not going to be a true Bloodlines game, rather it's going to be a Vampire the Masquerade V5 game in the style of The Chinese Room. I'm not mad about it. I just wish they'll be honest about it and choose to rename the game to be some other series instead. "VtM: Seattle" or whatever. Nonetheless, I'm disappointed that the studio cares more about juxtaposing their own image and style into this title rather than staying true to the original. Seems weird to say since every artist is entitled to their own expression, but this isn't what we waited years for.

I'm going to play it regardless because I still think there's worth to this game in the franchise. If it conveys the current World of Darkness and isn't not completely broken at launch, I will probably find things to like about it still.

💗 Pearls Of Madness /(KinnPorsche Series- KimChay)- This is looking like a series and possibly the end to my sanity, but in a very sexy way, I guess. Kim decides to start changing up some of WIK’s stylings to a bit more of an androgynous angle as he sort of explores that about himself. He’s not really sure about it but every time he introduces a new piece Chay sort of loses his mind? And Kim’s both addicted to exploring this facet of himself AND the way his Angel reacts so... He escalates things. Aggressively. (And so does Chay.) There are no losers here.

💗 It Was One Time (And We Were Drunk) /(Cutie Pie Series-  YiLian) Uh so literally anything for my babes and my SoulSister be like ‘you should do the thing’ so I’m likely to do the thing and promptly. The thing is: YiLian by accident before Diao and Kuea come back into their lives. So this is like, Cutie Pie Series Top x Top Club Shenanigans possibly drunk before their sweetlings return from whatever foreign country they’re living in before university).

💗 Cafe/Bakery AU (KP/WB KimChay)- Soft boys flirting IDK man it’s just... in my head. Obsession with food, cafe surroundings, general soft soft soft pastel life here.

💗 At Your Service (KP Series- KimChay) So this is actually a Chay post-kidnapping story idea... previous anxiety highly exacerbated due to some of his experiences in the Mafia family. Planning on him being out in public (possibly with Kim, possibly to meet Kim, possibly just trying to run errands and be normal without any bodyguards to his knowledge- up in the air) and having a panic attack. A working SD and handler find him and help him through it and while they’re sitting and talking she mentions to Chay he might benefit from a dog.. But in the mean time, is there anyone they should call? (Why I’m leaning on Kim not being there because he’d show up too soon and spoil this H/C moment unless he was IDK trapped on a phone call with a manager or something. If Chay’s going to meet Kim, Kim could show up after they’ve had a chance to talk. If Chay’s on his own, they call Kim... If Chay only thinks he managed to be out on his own, Kim’s bodyguard that’s been tailing Chay has called Kim and Kim flies in ready to protect his (ex?) baby and finally some talking can happen.) Anyway, about the time Kim’s getting his back up about Chay talking to some strange girl, her Korean boyfriend turns up and off they go. (It won’t be until later that Kim realizes that was one of the Korean Mafia and he has a meltdown all over again.)

💗 Mafia Queens AU (KP x Several Shows/References Multiverse Collab Nightmare) Essentially after Kinn more or less makes Porsche his ‘Queen’ there’s a formal event where Mafia from different countries are showing up to acknowledge the change of power, admit they’ve removed some of Korn & Co’s Generation/Allies from their own organizations, etc. Porsche gets dressed up (Corset!Porsche my beloved!) by a friend of his that turns out to be one of the Korean Mafia Queens (she’s a returning OC from above, the girl with the dog), because it might be fun to have Kinn get jealous over a nonthreatening character and let him be rewarded with a very excellent visual (and some delicious sex, when they finally get around to peeling said outfit off of Porsche).

ANYONE WANNA VOTE ON THESE? Someone talk me into these or out of these or something. IDK.

2022 At a Glance

So, I debated doing the AO3 Wrapped thing, I've been tagged a couple of times in year end reviews, and things for 2023; I've been putting them off and feeling a little like I didn't want to waste anyone's time with reading any of those things. But I never feel like reading those things for other people is a waste of my time, so it's not fair to assume anyone else does either.

Also, one of my New Year's Resolutions is to be kinder to myself and celebrate my own wins, so we're starting here. I'm really proud of how much writing I've done this year, so I'm going to share some of the things I'm most proud of. So many people in this fandom have offered me such kindness and loving support; I'm so grateful for the soft place to land here on tumblr.

I'm combining a couple of different things, so here's my year at a glance in fandom and a couple of hopes and dreams for the year to come:

1. How many words have you written this year? 413,515 2. How many works did you publish this year? 174 3. What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)? Against an Endless Tide is one of my favorites- not only because I love that iteration of Harry and Draco but because this work shows me how much I have grown as a human in regards to my own trauma. 4. What work of yours has the most hits? A Kiss to Build a Dream On 5. What work of yours has the most kudos? Drarry has not just the most kudos for this year but of any fic I've ever posted. And I'm honestly kind of mad about it. This was one of those fics that I spent 30 minutes on and sent out into the world (it's literally 1000 words and complete nonsense). And it has more kudos than things that I've spent weeks (months, years) plotting and drafting. Yeah, this was my least favorite look at my stats. smh. 6. How many WIP’s do you have in your docs for next year? Bro. Don't ask. I have so many WIPs it's like a graveyard in my docs. Who knows which one's will see the light of day. 7. What’s your longest work of the year? Making it Work which is very much not complete yet and will be coming into 2023 with me. 8. What’s your shortest work of the year? Jam (50 words) a microfic that I was very proud of because it feels like sunshine when I read it. 9. How many kudos in total did you get this year? 37,312 10. Biggest surprise while writing this year? How many people related to pieces that I've privately categorized as my "unofficial trauma response series". It's made me feel really sad that so many people can relate to the pieces that are written out of that grief but it's also really made me want to write more of that to offer hope. 11. Do you have a word count goal for the upcoming year? 500,000 words is the goal. (It might be worth noting that it was last year's goal as well and I achieved it, just not 'published' words.) 12. Do you plan to write any original fiction this year? Maybe. It's a long held dream of mine to be an actual published author of my own works. Yes, I'll probably (hopefully) write some but I don't know if I'll end up sharing any of it.

It's been a while since I've posted about my life stuff

-I'm currently decompressing all the stress from the holidays due to my job, which has left me in what I can only call my 'brain dead' mode while I try to get my shit together again. I'm not doing this shit again next fall/winter so I need to find a better job in the next few months, I WON'T stay where I'm currently working

-Confirmed I'm running the CYOA I've been talking about sometime in the next two weeks, no matter if I don't have everything done (At this point it's just character portraits as I'm swearing off all backgrounds/environmental art except for the opening bathroom scene and a shot of the entire front of the hotel building, and I still need to make those too.) If I don't get it done in time, then tough shit I'm going forward anyways!

-I've only made a few mentions of it on this blog, but the cyoa will be run on 4chan over on /mlp/. I know not everyone is comfortable with that, but this style of cyoa requires all submissions to be anonymous, and the only other viable place that lets me do that is tgchan (Tempted to run there sometimes but I would need to lurk there first to get a feel for it). That said, getting people from over here means some of the dumber anons won't be the majority of responses, so I do invite everyone to give it a try once it's live.

-I had a strange dream series last night, first it was minecraft (did you know I've never played with somebody? Only solo? It's so lonely), then it turned into a strange mix of pokemon and MMBN while taking place in a smoothed over version of the minecraft environment I was in? There was much rollerskating involved and it was so cool. Then it all melted away into a little house in a sky-like void with a pool where the deeper end had algae but I was just chilling and having a fantastic time with the dream people there. I miss people.

-I had like 2 fanfic WIPs I was working on up until all my energy got squeezed out of me by my job, I feel really bad about not finishing them but if I don't work on this CYOA project I'm going to scream

-I still don't have a date for the release of the zine I made an entry for, and while it's nobodys fault (If you're reading this bezka I'm not mad at you at all, I'm just frustrated with the circumstances), I did learn a very hard lesson about tying project start dates to the end dates of other projects; something about my ADHD made it very hard to backpedal from the 'no working on anything else just in case they need you' mindset I made for myself.

-I crave death so badly, but I want to live! whenever or not I can is an entirely different question. I'm going to need to get all my doctor stuff set up like I've been meaning to do for months now

i was going to make a post like "shoutout to my wips that probably won't get posted in 2022" but instead here's my current projects:

i'll be waiting here til the stars fall out of the sky: OKAY. I DO PLAN TO POST CHAPTER ONE BEFORE CHRISTMAS. so it will make it by the end of 2022, but it's obivously my biggest and longest running project. it's currently 25k with 5 chapters, since i'm trying to write 5k per chapter. it might go all the way to 17 chapters with my outline.

for those who somehow don't know its plot, it is a massive fanfic picking up at the end of htbahb and S8, dealing with the concept of trying to reunite all the hermits after they scattered before the moon fell. the main povs are grian (boatem group) and ren (rendoc group) with some recurring side povs from people like false. it is also a long-form look at trauma, grief, friendship, and letting other people help you

a fic variously known as "the heart is just another organ" and "that's alright, i'll just find a way to bite": this is a 7.7k watcher grian wip that is a) a different interpretation of him being a watcher than i normally use and b) supposed to overall deal with grian's like....tendency to kill everyone he cares about in the traffic series. like. grian is NOT a great guy in any of the games, but i dont think he's a bad person overall, but he's also very murderous and???? IDK! it's just interesting. he can be so violent and cruel, but also not, but also he didn't have a choice in some of this, but also he DID have a choice for a lot of it, and it's just...complicated.

this fic is also variously devastating in several ways, contains some of my favorite descriptions i've written, and i definitely plan to eventually finish it however it looks like i might not make it before we get the 4th life series lol. i wrote 7.7k words and i have not made it out of S6, let alone to 3rd life whoops. im chewing on the grian in this fic hes soooo

tumble town gothic: i think at this point that might actually be the title. i explained this concept in discord and people were like "wtnv vibes". i used the "gothic" part based on those posts that people would write (in turn referencing southern gothic style.) basically there is an eldritch Creature that lives in tumble town, that the town has learned to live around (it would be hostile to them, but they respect it. that's what tumble town is built on, right? respect.) and jimmy basically tries to bait it into killing joel LOL. i like this one because a) it's fun to worldbuild for a western town b) it's fun to write jimmy and joel being variously awful to each other and c) mild horror concepts.

the moon, and other misbehaving celestial entities: THE FAMED HITCHIKER'S AU! god i love this fic so much. im probably biased because it's my own writing but i think it's hysterical. this idea came to me when i had a hgttg Moment rereading the book and was like hey. the two things that hermitcraft season 8 and hgttg have in common is that earth get destroyed in both of them! and from that the fic was born. it's about 5k words so far, but very early into it.

grian and pearl are both siblings in this fic, and also aliens. and also kind of from the future but they failed to get back to their own time period and decided hermitcraft was nice so it's whatever. pearl was an architect, and grian got a job with the Guide in the time traveling divison. because, of course, the best way to ensure their publication is historically correct is to have their reasearchers visit other time periods! grian got lazy and did all his research on one planet on evo by manually shifting the time periods and the watchers got mad because he didn't have permits to do that :/ so he ran away but his space-time machine broke and stranded him in S6 of hermitcraft. pearl tried to follow but due to timey-wimey stuff didn't make it til S8. much like ford saves arthur in hgttg, the two of them save boatem at the last minute before the moon crashes. grian is confident they can go back and save all the hermits, because he has a time machine! except, ah, of course he doesn't have it anymore--

half of the plot is similar to the book, and the other half is totally divergent. there's not really any 1:1 characters so apologies, we have no zaphod or trillian or marvin characters. (that said, i have to somehow manage to fit zedaph in this fic just for the sole reason that his entire YT-online persona name is inspired by hgttg) this fic also ended up being so doctor who-core with the inclusion of time travel that it's almost a crossover of that too LOL

various lonesome dreams-verse fics: i have one 1k wip of a story about jimmy + chronic pain, under the idea that his listener powers of destruction often affect him too. because as someone with an autoimmune disease it's a very familiar concept... i also have a wip from double life about the similarities between the whole listener idea and the wardens/deep dark. i also have a long-term goal to write a story where they break OUT of this cycle of death games and that jimmy is key in it. none of these are particularly finished

my goal for 2023 is to finish the top four because i'm very attached to all of them as concepts!!!

Reworked Derry Punk House AU (now with Stranger Things crossover)

So idk if anyone remembers but I had this idea for The Losers living in a punk house. I grew up in the scene and I’m still alt (just tired I don’t really adhere to a specific style but I listen to all the music and subgenres and adhere to punk leftist values), so this is very important to me. The Losers are in a band called The Barrens, (based after the hardcore band Code Orange) where Richie is the lead singer, Bill is on bass, Stan (him and bill are together!) is our first guitar, Bev (who is genderfluid) is secondary singer and guitar, and Mike is drums. Richie meets Eddie because him and Bev save him from Bowers at a show. Richie knows Eddie because they do gigs with Corroded Coffin, Eddie has his own metalhead house with the fruity four. Jonathan is everyone’s photographer of course and Argyle is his stoner boyfriend who makes everyone’s merch for them. The party will only be mentioned for now (they may get their own fics, but I don’t ship any of them really love my Bylers tho!), but they will be aged up and paired off as so: Byler, Elumax, and Dustin is with Suzie long distance still. There WILL be some weirdness in the Reddie one (some spooky deja vu shit starts happening in chapter 4), but no Pennywise, no Upside Down (maybe some weird references or drug trips wink wink, but nothing ACTUALLY involved with them). OMG ALSO BEN IS THE BARTENDER AND OWNER OF THE VENUE IN DERRY CALLED THE QUARRY! IM A SUCKER FOR REFERENCES!!!

Its full of angst, eventual romance and eventual smut. Steddie and Ronance as well as most of the other ships are established in the Reddie fic, but they will get their own pieces in the series. So a bit of a treat for everyone in the two fandoms. This fic is MAD important to me as its partially autobiographical (a lot of this is my own style of characterizations so don’t always expect it to be canon! I have other canon style fics on my AO3) and its also to honor my best friend who sadly passed away on this past Sunday. He was an old punk who told me tons of stories and loved that I wrote fanfic, he found it extremely fascinating. Please take a peak??

28. Share three of your favorite fic writers and why you like them so much.

My sib in all things Jemily and mischief, [Phoenix_Falls aka @otahkoapisiakii]. Honestly, their writing makes me so happy. The way they embody the characters feels like I'm watching the show. I absolutely love their narrative flow. And yes, I'm biased bc they're my sib/spouse/bff. But we actually started talking to each other bc we were screaming about how much we love each other's fics. That was nearly a decade ago and their fics still are top-tier imo!!

[sunshineandguns aka @cargopantsprentiss] honestly, reading Rosie's fics transports me. I feel like I leave my body and transcend into the world she writes. Her narrative voice is so stunning and painstakingly beautiful. I absolutely adore her writing style!!

[MJDuncan aka @mjduncan] will always be one of my fave authors. I absolutely love their writing style. 'Take My Hand and Show Me the Way' will forever be a perfect Jemily fic. The characters are written so well and the flow is impeccable. I have even read some of their non-CM works (fandoms I don't exist in) and I'm still blown away by their writing. I think THAT'S what really makes an author incredible.

29. If you could write the sequel (or prequel) to any fic out there not written by yourself, which would you choose?

So I recently re-read [Dreams, Schemes, and In-Betweens by Phoenix_Falls] because I'm still sad about Fooled Around being over and I needed another rom-com fluff piece to read. And no matter how many times I read this one, I get RAGING mad at these idiots. I actually had to walk away for an entire day because I was screaming 'NOW KISSS!!!!'. But I would LOVE to write a sequel to this series!!!!! (Sib! Hey sib!! SHOULD I DO THE THING!????!)

I'm just really loving writing fluffy rom-com tropes right now. (Currently working on a similar type WIP)

Current wips (updated monthly) (current ver. Oct 2023):

Long work 1: Every Reason Why. A novel following a waitress as she gets into an abusive relationship interwoven with anecdotes from her life before her abuser (going back to childhood) building two parallel stories. ~10k words at time of posting.

Long work 2: [untitled] A group of friends meet at summer camp and ~something bad~ happens. Follows them through adulthood as the bad thing unravels/becomes clear. Currently just a vague idea with some bulleted lists and snippets. Has not left the notes app.

Short work 1: What Violence? A short surreal body horror story about a young girl who gets stabbed in the chest with a knife and discovers it does not hurt or bleed the way it should. She searches for someone to bring her to a doctor to give her stitches but struggles to explain what’s going on. Based on a dream I had. ~300 words at the moment.

Short work 2: He Called Me Something Bad. A young girl kills her teenage step brother (or woman kills stepson, still sorting it out) in what appears to be an accident. The social worker/detective interviewing her starts to realize that it was not An Accident. Currently in the notes app/ideas phase. Unclear if it will make it out.

Dream trip: huh whuh anywhere abroad because due to political status quo i cannot leave the country and probably wouldn’t be able to for some time. so my record of 20 countries has ceased for now. but if i imagine the better future i’d certainly visit Vienna again, it’s a miracle, and after that i’d visit my European friends.

Something I want: i dream to do nothing but art, to make a living from art. no idea how to achieve that yet. also i’d like to work on important stuff much more than rn and for my mental health to allow me to do that.

Currently reading: Corrections by Jonathan Franzen. he actually uses impersonal sentences so i was like 🤔 so i can use them too? i was refraining from them in my english writing because to my knowledge every english sentence has to have a predicate. but if Mr.Franzen uses these, why can’t i?

Last series: oh i watched that The Bear series, started because it was all over my tumblr dash. INCREDIBLE, just great, especially that elliptical plot composition where all the things that the character ignored in the beginning come back to ensure his salvation/reawakening in the end. and yeah ofc Jeremy Allen White 🤤

Last movie: The Third Murder by Hirokazu Kore-eda. i started with his Shoplifters (those who read my WIP fic know why) and the director’s style was love at first sight so i resumed learning his filmography.

Sweet/spicy/savory: savory, but actually whatever, i wish eating didn’t exist

Currently working on: well yeah my infant son Disintegration, a Tokyo Revengers fanfic, that’s it for now. it gives me great pleasure, especially since i take my time trying different patterns of episode build-up/scene size/chapter composition, though the most interesting episodes to write are only about to come. like, my favorite scene is planned for chapter 8 in the first draft. i’m mad & sad that it takes more than a week to make a chapter, but well, the trick is that i rewrite every scene three times in order have it solid, so if achieving faster pace means sacrificing some quality - no can do, my perfectionism holds me hostage

The Gift Giving Game was my K/S secret santa gift for Herenya_writes (Kirk and Spock stir up rumors as professors at Starfleet Academy)

A Hidden, Personal Thing (Spock offers to mind meld with Kirk)

Do you respond to comments, why or why not?

I try to respond to every comment because there’s nothing I like more than talking with people about my writing and the stories that inspire it! I’m more than happy to answer questions on here too, if anyone has any!

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

So, these days I’m generally a firm believer in happy endings, but in the pre-AO3 days, I used to mostly write death!fic and a few highlights actually made it onto AO3:

The Death of Spock - Spock dies during the original five-year mission and Kirk is left to pick up the pieces

Only a Fool - Watson dies at Reichenbach and Holmes is left to pick up the pieces

Honorable mention: Devoted - the inevitable tragedy of Mary Watson (nee Morstan)

Do you write crossovers? If so what’s the craziest one you’ve written?

As it turns out, the other thing I used to write is crazy crossovers, many of which were never finished, let alone saw the light of day. I’ve dialed back on it (a little), but here are some highlights:

Spock in Wonderland

Millennium Death Note - currently in progress! (What if Light Yagami solved the Millennium Puzzle?)

The Mysterious Mr. Jeeves - Jeeves and Wooster x Everything, but I think the most outlandish one in there would have to be The Phantom of the Opera

Honorable mention: my old BBC Sherlock x Harry Potter - the writing isn’t great and the plot is a bit of a mess, but it will likely always be my most viewed fic

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

Only a little bit and mostly just on FanFiction.net - there was one person offended that my big Star Trek TOS x TNG crossover was “secretly” Kirk/Spock. More often I get people who like most of my fics, but then get annoyed about Kirk being polyamorous or Spock being ace or don’t like how I decided to end something, which isn’t terribly helpful, but could be worse.

Do you write smut? If so what kind?

Nope, don’t read it, don’t write it, just not for me.

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not to my knowledge, thankfully.

Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yes! I’m honored that people want to translate my stories into other languages (and make podfic of them)!

What’s your all time favorite ship?

My first and dearest will always be Holmes/Watson from the original Sherlock Holmes stories

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

I’ve gotten to be pretty good at finishing things I want to write, but there’s this huge Disney crossover I started writing with a friend that is glorious and complicated and almost 1/3 of the way done despite being over 90k already. Whenever I think about it, I always think that, yes, I will finish it some day, even though my co-author has lost interest, but the truth is probably not... But who knows, maybe I’ll turn around and have it done for next year’s @wipbigbang!

What are your writing strengths?

I’ve discovered a secret talent for finishing what I start, which is nice - a combination of planning and just keeping at it, slow and steady.

I think I do a good job of capturing characters’ voices, whether in dialogue or narration, and it serves me particularly well when I’m trying to imitate a style - I’m especially proud of some of my Jeeves and Wooster. I can also do some nice flowery prose if put my mind to it.

What are your writing weaknesses?

For all of my love of pretty prose, it’s easy for me to forget to describe things, so my writing can end up fairly sparse. I also feel like I could get better at integrating romance and plot - the romance often ends up getting drowned out by everything else going on, which is especially frustrating because I’m usually writing it because of the romance.

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

That’s a good question. Probably Death Note (my friends and I used to ship L/Light) - that’s the oldest fic I have on my computer, at least, but I used to write on paper, so there may be something even older there. The first fandom I posted anything for is Harry Potter (a next-gen OC fic about the daughter of Bellatrix Lestrange - it’s best not to ask). I also posted my first Holmes/Watson fic at about the same time (it’s pretty bad, but I tried).

What’s your favorite fic that you’ve written?

5.  Not sure if this is the right place to ask for help finding a fanfic but I’m desperate. I read this fanfic a year ago and I don’t remember if it was an yizhan or a wangxian fanfic or not. I just remember that Lan zhan meets Wei ying at the super market with little A-yuan after a long time. Basically lan zhan misunderstands that wei ying is married and has a wife. He gets all jealous over it. Also wei ying is a architecture/ interior designer and offers to style Lan zhan’s apartment. Help plz...  -- @starrie88

6.   Sorry to bother you but would it be alright if you helped me find a fanfic? It’s about future wangxian and the crew time traveling to the past. The past wangxian are still teens and they thrown into the future but there’s not much about them. Basically, LQR finds out Sizhui is LWJ’s son and asks who his mom is. Wangxian and the crew traveled back during a sect meeting where everyone was present. Jiang Cheng meets his future nephew and Jin ling meets his mom. Please help me find it if you can.

9.   hi I lost a fic and i wonder if you can help me! it was a cloud recesses fic, where lwj took lxc's advice so wwx would stop bothering him; it was basically "do what he wants and he'll go away" and afterward lwj was like "it worked now how do i get him to pay attention to me again". i also remember a scene where lwj said smth like "wy doesn't want to kiss me?" and wwx said "i don't not want to kiss you?" and jc was lamenting that he made it worse, and wwx started avoiding lwj bc he got flustered [Grrr, I know this one, but I can’t find it!]

10.   hi!! ive lost a fic i read some time ago; it was a case fic ab the death of some ppl that wwx was investigating, and it stumped them a lot bc it seemed that the victims named the previous victims as their killers (i think the victims were targeted bc they were cutsleeves?)There was an oc with a crush on lwj, and in the end it turned out that the monster had gotten lwj and wwx faked not knowing to kill it and save him, but he accidentally traumatized lsz who saw him killing it in lwj's body

12.   I'm looking for a fic where wwx and lwj are both lawyers and they get married, but when they tell their coworkers, no one believes them. The juniors are interns at the law firm. At one point lwj is working on a case outside of the firm and because he can't see wwx as often he sends him lots of flowers, but the juniors think they're from someone else so they throw the flowers away before wwx can see them.

Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you’d expected? 

I wrote more fics but different fics than expected. Lockdown and the overall madness made it hard to concentrate on more serious stories and unexpectedly brought forth more lightheartedness and fun.

What’s your own favorite story of the year? 

That's always a difficult one. To quote a well known and loved actor: "I don't do favourites."

If anything, I have some favourite scenes from different fics. 

For example, l loved writing the scene where John and Sherlock finally go back to 221B in "Shatter Me", the way they finally dare to open up by sharing their music and letting their facade down to show their emotions to each other.

And in "Purple Pirate: uncovered", I loved the scene where Sherlock is giving a lap dance to someone else. There is so much more to that than what meets the eye, which all unfolds in the daring but I think very cathartic sex scene in the next chapter.

Or...l loved the experience of (not) writing the words that are left unsaid "between the lines" in the dialogue only fic “More Than Words Can Say" and to see how their emotions came through.

Yes, I did. I challenged myself to let go of my beloved descriptions and long winded narratives and wrote a dialogue only fic, which turned out to be a lot of fun! Not easy though. It's my contribution to the 2020 advent ficlet challenge by @missdaviswrites : "More Than Words Can Say". 

Also, I wrote my first full on sex scenes, which I was a bit afraid of beforehand. However, it turned out to be easier and much more fun than expected.

Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the new year? 

Yes. Lots. Most of all I want to finish my close-to-heart fic "Shatter Me". Also my beloved little whirlwind from "How He Came To Be" (co-written with @shylockgnomes /Littleweedwrites on Ao3) needs their story to be continued.

In addition to that there's a long list of ideas for stories I want to write. For example there's a Tattoo Shop Au plotted out in detail that waits to be written. As well as a S4 fix it I already started writing, for which I'm trying out a new style again I'm excited about. And quite a lot more; some raw, some outlined, some written a couple of chapters in… we'll see which of them will be finished next year.

Most popular story of the year? 

That is  surprisingly "I'd never call you", which started out as a just-for-fun silly plot bunny prompted by a tumblr post about drunk call love confessions. Initially I even asked my betas if it wasn't too silly to be posted. Apparently it was not.

Story of mine most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion: 

First of all I have to say, I'm immensely grateful for every single person reading any of my stories. Every hit, kudo, comment or bookmark is dear to me and makes writing and sharing my stories an even greater joy. So there isn't actually something as under-apprechiation. If you ask me which story I personally liked to get more attention then there are two:

Talking about finished stories? That's "The Purple Pirate: uncovered" in my opinion. True, it's a very self-indulgent fic which ticks all my personal boxes, but to be honest, some of the reactions surprised me and I think that this story is somehow misunderstood. 

Talking in general, it's my WIP "Shatter Me". It's a slow burn friends to lovers, angst with a happy ending. It's a long fic with lots of introspection. Maybe that's scaring readers away, although I personally think the slow development with all its "two steps forward, one step back" progress is rather natural and needed and the happy ending makes it all worth it.

Most fun story to write: 

Another unexpected and unintended shorty. "The Imminent Danger of a Tumblr-Night" started out with a cute anon on @inevitably-johnlocked 's blog and turned into a fun to write crack fandom-Sherlock-crossover so to speak.

It goes neck-and-neck with the "funny shorties" (as my beta likes to call them) of my "Hairy Situations at 221B"-series. The first one, "Bad Hair Day", was another impulsive writing bout; a plot bunny distracting me from more serious stories. Apparently exactly what I needed this year as the bunnies kept coming and turned into a series with even more stories planned.

Most unintentionally telling story: 

That's most definitely "The Purple Pirate: uncovered". Underneath all the humour and smut, it explored their relationship in a way I wouldn't have expected myself while writing. Also, it deals with the deep rooted need to feel respected as the person you really are and to be seen in your entirety. In the end the content turned out much more serious than initially expected, even though (imo) the humour and smut are still the red thread of the story. 

Biggest disappointment: 

That my muse didn't allow me to finish "Shatter Me" this year. I just wasn't in the right mindset—of course when I started posting the story at the start of this year I hadn't anticipated the impact of a pandemic wreaking havoc . However, I miss those boys immensely and I'm excited to get back to them. Heaven knows, they've waited long enough... 😉😏

Biggest surprise: 

That I'm able to write short and funny and readers seem to like it. I would never have expected it, but I'm more than happy about that accidental discovery.

Ohhhh probably Last Kiss and Sa Susunod Na Habang Buhay (In Another Lifetime) I love giving NaruHina some angst 👀

A Father’s Day Special, it’s a four part series featuring Naruto, Sai, Shikamaru and Sasuke for father’s day. Maybe not the “happiest” but I can say it’s heartwarming and wholesome 😌

I don’t. I don’t think I’m capable of that.

Yes. Not really on ao3 but on ffn and twt. People are so weird.

Hopefully none but I don’t think I’m that good either. 

Have you ever had a fic translated? 

Yes. Glances, an entry I did for SS month, was translated to Vietnamese (I think it was posted on facebook). I’m still stoked about it, I didn't think someone would take their time to translate my work but I’m also being a bit cautious lately about someone translating my work so yeah 😬

Have you ever co-written a fic? 

Again, I don’t think I’m capable or even have the ability! If I ever co-write, my co-writer would probably just hate me cos I procrastinate too much 🥲

What’s your all time favorite ship? 

Don’t make me choose! I love all of them though I mostly write NaruHina and SasuSaku. 

What’s a WIP you want to finish but don’t think you ever will? 

If WIPs could kill, I would be dead 3 months ago. I really want to finish some smut WIPs as they fill my drafts but I don’t think I’ll ever will (not now at least) 

What're your writing strengths? 

I don't know I don't really think about it too much, maybe the way I write? Many tell me how can I write with so little words and still get the story clear and out but I don't really think about the word count too much, you can tell a story using a book or a sentence it really depends on how you write it. 

What're your writing weaknesses? 

Words lmao. I find it hard describing things in a poetic way and just ran out of words. I still try though but I think whenever I try it's too obvious since it's not my style. That's why whenever I read something that is so poetic I get really hooked. 

What are your thoughts on writing in other languages in a fic? 

It's fun! English is not my first language to begin with so I've been doing it, I just hope I don't offend anyone. I also enjoy writing and reading something in my own language, I just find it funnier when it's Tagalog but I think it's just me . 

What was the first fandom you ever wrote for? 

Naruto is the first fandom I SERIOUSLY ever wrote for. But for the first fandom it's soooo cringey I don't want to say it 

What's your favorite fic you've ever written? 

Awww I love them all! I think We & Us is still at top, even though I don't update that often, I never thought I would write a multi-chapter fic so We & Us is really special for me. For a short series I'm in love with Manila Encounters, I just love the idea of different ships meeting in different places in different circumstances. I plan on doing another mini series but I don't have time!
