i don’t know anything about Donna so what has she done to get this “normal girl” reputation 😭

Well, part of it is that in the og Teen Titans comic, she was the only girl until they introduced Lilith, so she kind of read as pretty generic for a while, as she was into "normal" girls things (dancing, boys, and the like). I think where things really get interesting are in Teen Titans #38 where it's revealed her greatest fear is being perceived as masculine, and my interpretation of her relationship with terry is that she was obsessed with having a normal life and being the perfect woman by society's standards - which is unachievable! And we see her start to chafe against that and people's expectations of her in Titans 1999.

I'd also be remiss if I didn't mention how Donna's identity issues could factor into all of this. She doesn't know her origins, and that is partly what makes her cling to this sense of normalcy! Her origins constantly shift, and at one point she's rebuilt entirely from Wally's memory of her, so going into Titans 1999, she's quite frustrated with her image of being the perfect girl next door, and she rebels against it under that context. The thing about Donna is that she's not normal, because normalcy doesn't exist, but she spent quite a bit of time striving for it

I didn’t realize Yun was single-ship! Then again, I always assumed you had a Yasuo/Yone bias and that other interactions were simply flirting? Do you feel iffy because you claim to be multi-ship when your main muse isn’t, or you’re picky about ships (especially when the other person already has a ship)? Because I was about to say it’s okay to have biases/preferences as long as you’re open about them, even if they come up later in a blog’s life. Nothing wrong with changing your mind.

Yes, Yun is singleship, and yes I do have a bit of a bias because I really liked the interactinos I had with @windy-wooo. I have a slight bias towards Yone because death and rebirth are just my jam. But I'm open to almost all ships, provided the characters have good chemistry.

Yun is currently in a temporary relationship with @beast-man-bastard and @thegoldentigress. This is also canon but does not prevent anyone from trying to ship with me. This has been established with those muns as Qadira and Sett are married. Yun is just with them mostly for fun. So feel free to flirt with Yun and try to make him fall in love with your muse :D

Aphelios @monsterdemanguinha is a bit more grey area since it's semi-canon? Like they are in a relationship but not something that is very established. Schrödingers ship. But they are v cute.

Ah... hm.. how to explain the rest. My problem lies more in feeling guilty about shipping with someone else if that someone else happens to have a ship they very much enjoy. I feel like I'm stealing time and attention away from their other ship.

For example, if you have let's say Jax as a muse, and you have a ship with a Zilean you enjoy, I'd feel guilty for shipping with your Jax because I feel as if I'm ruining the Zilean ship. Even if Yun and Jax is a very healthy, interesting, natural ship that formed through interactions and we both enjoy it a lot. And you still heavily enjoy the Jax and Zilean ship and spend time on it as well. I would still end up feeling guilty.

And I was thinking about that, and given that I AM multiship on Yone, Watari, and Codei, I figured that it was even stupider of me to feel guilty about it since quite a few people have been wanting to ship with me, even with the same muses. Like three Lux ships with Watari. Each one with their own cute interactions.

I didn't mean to make anyone doubt themselves or their desire to try and woo my muses. Or try and woo other muses while shipping with me. I WANT people to drown in ships and have fun and make new interactions and stories. Like damn. That's what it's all about, right?

It was just something I had to get off my chest and tell myself, publicly, that I'm being a silly goose about it. As long as everyone is consensually having fun, then why should I try and prevent someone from shipping just because my brain made up some nonsensical rules it wants to follow? Doesn't make sense. Overruled.

"I'm just saying, if the heat bothers you so much, you could cut your hair" Nancy points out, after declining Eddie's pleas for her spare scrunchie.

Robin sits on Nancy's lap, clutching the back of Steve's seat and she looks at Steve through the side mirror like she's afraid that he's about to go on a mission to defend Eddie's honor or something but Steve rolls his eyes at her. He's not that gone.

Or at least he knows how to hide it well.

Eddie's lost several of Nancy's favorite hair accessories and two weeks ago she bowed to never lend him any ever again.

Which, does not stop Eddie from asking her anyway at least once a day.

But the point is, even if Steve wanted to, Eddie's honor cannot be defended in this situation.

Nancy's leaning behind Argyle's back now to glare at the metalhead. Steve can see them in the rearview mirror.

Eddie gasps "I would never" he says, clutching his chest dramatically.

Steve secretly breathes a sigh of relief.

Johnathan chuckles at the wheel. "But you could" he comments, eyes on the road.

Steve can see Argyle subtly laughing and shaking his head out of the corner of his eye.

Today is a rare occasion, Jonathan is driving them in Steve's car.

The goal of Steve's rant earlier about having to drive them everywhere was to get Eddie to drive them, so Steve could sit shotgun and watch Eddie drive.

Instead, Jonathan had offered first and then Steve couldn't go in the backseat because he's in charge of their map.

But whatever, this is fine too. He trusts Jonathan and it is nice to get a break and to be able to fully turn around when he's talking to someone in the backseat.

"Jon, I would lose all my sex appeal, you don't get it" Eddie answers, getting a box of Twinkies from one of the many bags they packed and placed on the floor of Steve's car.

"I get it" Argyle chimes in, watching Eddie pull out a Twinkie and shaking his head no when Eddie offers him one.

"You'd still be sexy with short hair" Robin comments from her seat on Nancy's lap.

Everyone turns to look at her.

"What?" she shrugs "I can say that"

Nancy chuckles into her shoulder.

Steve opens their map again to stop thinking about Eddie's 'sex appeal', even as the guy is excitedly munching on a Twinkie in the backseat of Steve's car.

He's got cream in the corner of his mouth and he clearly put more in his mouth than he can comfortably chew. He's leaning one elbow on Argyle's shoulder, his hand holding half a Twinkie, his other hand holds his mop of hair up in a high bun, causing his cut off tank to sit barely covering his nipples, his tattoos on display and his armpit hair fully visible.

Steve's fairly certain nobody else in this car would get it, but to him the sight is mouth watering. The guy is practically irresistible.

"I don't think i would've gone on even half the dates I've gone on if i didn't have my hair" Steve muses, for something to say and to add to Eddie's point, even though he agrees with Robin.

Almost everyone answers with agreeable noises, except Eddie and Robin.

Robin snorts and says "You are relentless"

While Eddie says "You don't get dates for your hair" at the same time. In a tone that suggests he thinks this is an obvious thing.

"I mean- it doesn't hurt" provides Nancy, she sends Steve an apologetic look but Steve waves her off. It's a compliment as far as he's concerned, he loves his hair.

Eddie finishes his treat and opens a new one while everyone else gives their opinions.

"For a lot of people, hair is a big part of attraction" Jonathan is saying, trying to seem like he's not speaking from experience.

"Especially hair as luscious as Steve's" Argyle agrees, leaning forward to lightly comb the side of Steve's hair, making him laugh.

"Thanks, man" Steve says overlapping Eddie's response.

"And I agree!" he exclaims "I'm saying he doesn't get dates because of his hair." Eddie goes on, waving his new Twinkie around for emphasis. "People throw themselves at Steve, and always will, but it's not because of his hair" he repeats.

Steve feels his cheeks heat up but still asks "Then why?"

"Well, because you're very pretty!" Eddie answers easily, like everyone should already know this.

Steve keeps his eyes carefully trained on the map, like he needs to study it meticulously, right this moment, while they're in the middle of a highway.

His cheeks are burning up and he can feel it spreading to his ears.

"And that's if they don't know you!" Eddie continues "If they do know you they know you're kind and brave and strong ...and generous and funny. Who wouldn't want all that in a date?" Eddie finshes.

Oh I don't know, you? Maybe? Do you? Steve thinks.

"Even bald, people would still go crazy for you" Eddie adds, his words slightly muffled towards the end as he shoves almost all of the new Twinkie in his mouth but apparently thinks better of it, biting all but a small piece.

"Here. You want the rest of this?" Eddie offers Steve, talking through his mouthful, and presenting the small piece with his ringed fingers, right in front of Steve's face.

Without thinking, Steve leans forward and takes it with his mouth, his lips burning where they touched Eddie's fingers.

As Eddie retrieves his hand Steve realizes what he just did and how quiet the car got.

He sends Robin a panicked look through the side mirror as Jonathan awkwardly clears his throat.

"Argyle's got nice hair" Robin tries.

The car immediately fills up with enthusiastic agreement and Steve slowly breathes out.

He can't bring himself to look at Eddie as he chews on his bite. He practically licked Eddie's fingers. Unprompted! The guy probably meant for Steve to grab the treat and then eat it. If he even accepted it at all!

Steve feels like an idiot and he frowns at the map again, willing himself to ignore the goosebumps in his arms and the tickling on his lips.

He doesn't see Eddie worriedly staring at him for the remaining of their conversation, until Nancy takes pity on him and offers up her spare scrunchie to distract him.

I know twisted wonderland is disney branded but i thought it was owned by disney japan? I was told that regular disney and disney japan aren't exactly the same entity so does boycotting twst and related merch actually do anything? Genuine question!

I'm no business expert or anything, and do correct me if I'm wrong, but I think disney jp is just a geografic division for the walt disney company (that is donating 2 million dollars and siding with Israel, cough) so like this, probably whatever disney jp owns goes to disney company in general too. (I find it difficult to think that whatever profits the japanese division makes stays in that section exclusively 🤔)

Boycotting disney properties include things like their streaming service, the parks and whatever they make, and I don't see how their games section would be any different or disconnected from all of those others in any way. Buy hey, until I find out that maybe, in some crazy twist of fate, that a super profitable gatcha game doesn't give back to Michael the Mouse himself, I'd rather be safe than sorry and hold myself back from buying some keys for that cool character card at this present moment. It's like very very least thing we could do

It took me quite some time to learn how to draw chubby characters but it's so satisfying to have eventually. ( *`u*) (I mean, there's still so much to learn, but still.)

Having a chubby main protagonist is so wonderful to have. And a good kid at that. (Ngl I'm attracted to kindness. haha So of course it's very important to me that he's fat AND kind.)

Also design-wise, I personally think it fits his character so well. Soft and huggable, shaped like a friend. Thick arms to hug people with snuggly. Body wide like a shield. etc. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

And I just really like to capture these elements when I draw him as an adult. Also that it's just fun to draw.

Simply personal thoughts about it, nothing against any other ways he's being portrayed by others of course.

Waiting.

Waiting for a train that never stops. Always passing by. Always empty.

Waiting until the snow stays atop the ground. He will make it happen. He promised.

Now they’re alone. Pink and blue fill the underground station but leave her hollow. The colours freeze on her skin, the cold ever-growing, threatening to swallow her whole. But she remains. Not daring to give up. He had asked her of it. As long as she shines for him, he will be there. He promised to give her everything of him.

But he broke it.

The passing train seems endless. There’s no noise, no wind that drags her hair along, that lets the soft fabric of her coat dance. It moves at high speed, yet time slows down.

When it does finally pass her, it reveals something on the other side of the railway. Her stomach drops at the sight.

Someone.

Waiting.

Everything goes black. Sól takes the device off her head. Like a flashlight, sight comes back to her. It strains her eyes, causing her to rub them harshly. Will she ever get used to this stupid thing?

“What did you see?” Harrison asks, arms crossed over his chest.

It’s always the same.

“Sofia?”

Sól drags her palms over her face, sighing heavily, “You said it shows me memories. I don’t know what I saw, but they aren’t true.”

“Maybe you refuse to remember him the way he truly was”, he says, making it sound more like a statement than a question. Truly? How could she not remember? The note, the gun, the cracked window, the air almost leaving her lungs. She swallows hard. And still, all she feels is confusion rather than pain.

i ABSOLUTELY have to ask... whatever happened to del? rellik's little companion in law of talos? i barely see anyone draw her now let alone even mention her, was her character scrapped? whats up with her?

Oh... sweet, sweet anon... getting this message absolutely cracked me up. What happened to Del ? She got old... hahaha.

I knew this would be confusing even when I decided to do it for my Law of Talos entry- I've told this story a few times, but when Sins-of-Angels asked me to be in the OCT, she particularly said she liked Rellik (who I had drawn tons of art of already, as he was one of my favs) and asked if I'd use him as my LoT character. I said I wouldn't know if I could- because Rellik is very stubborn and wouldn't have a reason to fight for a wish, because he wouldn't care about that. I joked that the only reason he'd join an OCT is if I, as the artist/creator, told him to.

So... So I drew that. It was a very purposeful self-insert, and I thought it would be fun if Rel and I were more argumentative vs wish-fulfillment where I was powerful or cool. Then I also went with the "gets sucked into your character's world" (this is before isekai was really big lol) and the awful things that could happen to a normal person in that world.

I've always doodled chibis of myself with monkey + cat features so that just was part of my character too.

TL;DR Del is legit just me hahahaha and now that I'm older and I don't do as much meme stuff, I really have no reason to draw myself these days. I also would say there's a bit of negative self-deprecation in the way that I portrayed myself that I just don't have the same feelings about anymore.

I'm very glad that the Law of Talos fans can enjoy the LoT version of me/her and just kinda run with it and make it something new :) that's really cool to me. Though seeing RP blogs or posts of your self-insert character is always very surreal xD but I did this to myself lolllll YOLO
