Hey, remember the people who, at the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion, were all over tumblr and twitter whining 'oh but why is Ukraine getting all this attention as soon as something happens to it while other suffering countries arent', while also completely unaware of the fact that the war had already been going on for 8 years at that point?
Well, the same people are now posting 'imagine the reaction if that happened to Ukraine!' [insert a thing that has, in fact, and still is happening to Ukraine, bonus points if accompanied by a war video actually taken in Ukraine but misrepresented as coming from a different country]. Which shows that no, even the full-scale invasion didn't make them pay a slightest bit of attention.
And, you know what, it's actually totally ok to care about one conflict more than another, so I'm not chastising anyone here for that. While, as a Ukrainian, I certainly care about the war in my country the most, I have no problem with people who feel more strongly about other wars. I understand they have their own reasons.
What is not ok is living nowhere near the places under attack, posting from the safety of your own (mostly western) home, and diminishing one war to show off how morally righteous you are about another. But those do not see us as real people, only a way to score some woke points anyway.

The one funny part of the wallet ordeal was the *extremely* Japanese response of the policewoman who told me it had been turned in! Because she couldn't actually tell me it had been turned in: she had to make sure to repeat several times "I can't guarantee that it's yours, BUT" a wallet matching the description you gave was found in the area where you lost yours, shortly after you lost it. Also, it contains multiple pieces of ID bearing your full name, HOWEVER I cannot definitively state that it is yours, this is not a legally binding statement, thank you in advance for your kind understanding and cooperation. I love her, 11/10, no notes.

some thoughts about wan and his sister, and his relationship towards khem based on that trauma
this might sound very morbid, but i wonder if part of what further drove wan to his eventual breakdown was seeing his (only) friend be used and assaulted in a similar way his sister was? because the first panic attack/episode that we see wan experience happens when khem is being sexually exploited in the room right next to him.
i don't know if it was intentional or not, but i just think it must have been awful, to know that his friend is being used in such a similar way, to be directly in the other room from where it's happening but not being able to do anything because you've been taught that that's just how the world works and you can't intervene, because intervening will only make it worse for you both. i wonder if it might have contributed to his hatred and need for revenge, that it filled his head with conviction that certain groups of people were just bad and evil and were always gonna be, until he became convinced everyone had to die.
i do think the cigarettes had something to do with it (opium? maybe?) because it seemed to trigger his panic attacks when he smoked, but there was always something else too that set it off (blood, firework, screaming), and maybe it was the thought that after the man was done, he could walk in and find khem like he found his sister, and that makes me so so sad that he never found peace to the moment he died (by his friend's own hand).

nawww imagine yumesai friendship bonding over their boy crushes😭
yumehara tries to get saiki to admit his crush on teruhashi and will not stop asking him about his crushes and he eventually just goes "i dont know about now, but there was this guy, last year.." and shes like.. HUH😭😭
he accidentally goes into a big rant about satou and how stupidly perfect he was and the tactics he used to try and get his attention (strikingly similar to yumeharas typical tactics) and then ends it with "...i dont know if it was a crush, though."
and shes going INSANE
so now, for terus sake and also for her own curiosity, she has to figure out if hes gay or if he likes both☠️

Divorce Saga Domon - A Haunted Honk Prequel
Hello Internet Stranger looking up G Gundam on Tumblr dot com!
This is an idea for a fic set in an Alternate Universe involving Queer Non-Canon Relationships between the characters of the series.
If you are not looking for this content please scroll on.
If you ARE looking for this content - and you're ok with reading my and other's Headcanons for this Alternate Universe I've haphazardly spun up -

--------------------------------------
Ended up outlining a completely different fic as a Segway for an explanation instead of making progress on the Royal Flush Haunted Honk AU's Clown Motel Fic like I wanted to but uh....
For y'all's review for the AU: A Prequel Outline - Divorce Saga Domon
--------------------------------------
Hey real quick - I'm thinking of maybe changing the timeline to 2 years post canon as opposed to 3 years and change post canon.
The reason being: I had a thought that this scene could either be part if the fic or if it's getting to big then it could be a stand alone tie-in prequel fic as part of this AU but - like
Immediately Post Divorce Domon Needs Space and runs off. As one does. And he runs to Earth because he just wants to Get Lost for a while.
He has Argo smuggle him out to avoid detection.
Argo has Andrew help stow Domon in a storage hanger of a Neo Canadian supply ship that's returning to the US - they have trade often enough and share agricultural resources - which leads to Domon ending up in New York when he hits Earthside pavement.
He's privately worked on his English the last couple of months and after being dropped in New York with a different hairstyle, outfit, and accent he's unrecognizable.
He considers making his way west to get some solitude in the wilderness, but something about that initial plan feels off now that he's on the ground.
Chibodee is also Earthside for a special series of prize fights aimed at raising charitable appeal for the US in the eyes of Neo Americans.
Domon decides to hit up Chibodee for a fight on a day between matches hoping it'll clear his head and give him the clarity to decide on a course of action. What ends up happening is an unexpected heart to heart via blows and a breakdown.
Domon is happy for Rain and Kyoji, and he knows it's not true; but he feels like he lost a piece of himself when his relationship with Rain fell apart.
Domon's instinct is to run after that but Chibodee knows this city and Domon doesn't hide out for long before Chibodee drags him back to his place to stay and just "Chill out and breathe. You don't have to be anyone but yourself here. You can take as long as you need to find out what everything changing means for you." Friends and teammates stick together.
So Domon spends a few weeks with Chibodee sparring and hanging out in New York. Chibodee does a frankly awesome job at containing his feelings because he's focusing on Domons feelings and being a good friend first and foremost. Whatever he's feeling can wait until after Domon is done going though it.
There's a bit of a twinge in Domon's heart as he leaves that he can't really place.
After he returns to Neo Japan and gets settled back into life with his family, The Dreams start.
They're mainly set in New York. Small things first like noticing Chibodee's smile and his eyes. Then sparring sessions that begin to turn lurid.
He thought these kinds of dreams would stop after he was married.... he doesn't know what to do about this.
I just figure it gives more clarity and sense of time for the journey from Comphet Marriage Dissolution to Feelings to Confession. Idk.
But I got stuck on a bit and then had this thought and needed to get it down before I lost it and it was so long it made sense to make it its own post as opposed to several replies.
The Maize and Clown Motel will probably still be 3 years and change post canon for clarification.

I need more Home Alone and Batman crossover content. Specifically in the form of Kevin Mccalister becoming Robin. He is just so Robin shaped. He’s got the sass, a very Robin skill set, and the abandonment issues prerequisite. Give that kid a cape and 8 hours of prep and he’s taking down the rouges gallery single handedly. There is no world in which Bruce Wayne meets this gremlin of a child and doesn’t adopt him on the spot.

Yeah yeah jedi Maul au we've all seen him. But what about senator Maul au. Representing Dathomir, a neutral world like Mandalore that is still somewhat hostile to outsiders. Wearing fancy clothes that show a bit too much skin for the cold climate of Coruscant. Falling in hate at first sight with Padmé, the only other senator who brings a gun to the senate floor "just in case". The two of them having a weird rivalry because Maul doesn't trust the Jedi and is neutral in a lot of subjects that Padmé is a vocal defender of.

if any of you are still feeling weird about that infamous interview, here is what alex said about it (and why that ashley girl doesn't like him). i really want to point out that what alex says here is the exact same thing us, miles fans have been saying since forever. so, if you are a fan of alex, but throw shit at miles, just remember that your favourite also supports him. and maybe think twice before starting arguments with miles fans and keep in mind that alex has the same opinion about it all.
Alongside Arctic Monkeys, Turner has a long-term side-project called The Last Shadow Puppets with his best friend, the Birkenhead singer-songwriter Miles Kane. During the promotion for their last album, the two did an interview with a female journalist from the music webzine Spin. Turner was being his usual unforthcoming self, so Kane attempted to break the ice with some groan-inducing banter. This included inviting the journalist up to his hotel room when she asked what he was doing after the interview, which, in hindsight, was pretty stupid (he realised as much the next day and emailed her to say sorry). The result, though, was a lengthy op-ed calling out Kane’s unprofessionalism and the misogyny of the music industry at large. Personally, I found some of her complaints against him a tad flimsy — holding eye contact for too long, high-fiving her, “yanking” her in “for a not entirely consensual kiss on the cheek” as she said goodbye, and not least the idea that interviewing a rock star is ever supposed to be an exercise in professionalism.
What did Turner make of it all?
He sighs. “I think he made a joke he shouldn’t have made and realised he had misjudged the situation.”
I thought it was a bit OTT, I tell him.
“Yeah, I’m not sure it was deserving of that response honestly, but you just can’t make a joke like that.”
(from 2018, this interview)

it's sound weird, but i have headcanon that Hunter didn't go hexside, because he too old to shool(according to my feelings, at the end of the he is 16-17 y.o (except for the post-credits scene), and at that age it is already too late to go to school):p
i mean, well- in my opinion he rather certainly did go to hexside, since one of the things he'd said during his TTT monologue was "i'd like to attend hexside like a normal student and play flyer derby with my friends" and all of his "wishes" were supposed to sort of foreshadow his goals and his future (carving palismen, studying wild magic, etc etc) so i feel like it's safe to say he succeeded in becoming a hexside student as well. we also know he attended grom with the rest of his friend group, and like- since he's 16 before the timeskip (no canon certainty whether he's recently turned 16 or is going on 17 already though, but like... around 16 canonically) that means he'd get at least 1 year of school, but most likely 2+.
my personal headcanon is that he went to hexside for around 2 years (full or not quite, depending on when the school year starts in the boiling isles and how long it lasts; possibly even 3), and during that time he picked up a mentorship/apprenticeship at del's palisman carving shop, and after he graduated from hexside he started carving palismen professionally with the clawthornes (i like to think that he also takes some courses at eda's wild magic university in his spare time, simply cuz . funny uni hexsquad shenanigans)

they're obviously incredibly different in other respects but it is really fascinating to me to hold up the temeraire and wings of fire series to each other as worlds where humans and dragons coexist as fully intelligent beings but at least in some places are willfully ignorant of this fact and one species treats the other like property or companions at best

Pokéball headcanon because I've been thinking about it a lot lately and I don't love the PLA explanation.
Prof. Laventon says Pokémon can just shrink down at will and that's why Pokéballs work.
I think that he's Wrong (because they're in the past and can't accurately measure this or that so they just kinda assumed that was the case when they found no other answer), and that in actuality it's the material used in the pokéball that prompts the shrinking. Like the energy signature of tumblestone reacts with the Pokémon's energy and causes/allows them to shrink.
And future Pokéballs are made to artificially recreate and improve that energy signature in order to not be restricted to using tumblestone, and also to allow the balls and Pokémon reach that super tiny marble size.
Which would help explain being able to surprise catch a Pokémon? What creature would get beaned in the head from behind and instinctively just shrink down and hop inside the thing that someone chucked at them in ambush?
Rather than that, I'd like to imagine the ball just responds to the energies interacting and pulls them in. From there the Pokémon can decide whether or not they want to break out.
Energy signatures would also be a plot convenience to explain away the inability to capture an already-caught Pokémon (especially in the past where you can't reasonably say there's some kind of futuristic anti-theft tech built in). The energy of the Pokémon and ball are in sync or something like that. Therefore, you can't steal 'em from their ball (or switch what ball they're recalled to) without breaking the tumblestone.
In a universe that has actual (not ghost-type) ghosts and human psychics and inexplicable physics, I think this kind of explanation is kinda viable and a bit more satisfying than Laventon's statement.
((also i know the "at will" part can explain some game mechanics, such as there being so many pokémon hiding in knee-height grass, but it also contradicts some mechanics like the move "minimize", so i'm choosing to lean toward game plot/anime/etc ideas rather than game mechanic ideas))

thinking about how smile (2022) is every traumatised person's worst nightmare. how the message clearly says "your trauma will always win and no matter what you do, you'll swallow it and it'll inhabit your skin forever." how, even if the protagonist had defeated the monster, she would have still lost - the intergenerational trauma has already spread its insidious wings and would survive in the mind of her sister's child. how traumatised people are so often told to just 'suck it up and smile through the pain,' how laughter is the best medicine until it isn't. how misery loves company. and how sometimes healing comes too late too little - you've let the beast grow too strong, it became an intrinsic part of you, your identity.
