love walking out to find a flat tire, and to find that spare inner tube #1 was disintegrating. hand pumped it up to get on the road to work, and still had to pull over once to add more air halfway through my commute

unsurprisingly, walk out at the end of the day to another flat. pull the inner tube off but cannot find the hole so I can’t patch it. pull out spare inner tube #2 only to discover it is too small for this bike. put old inner tube and tire back on.

gas station air pump will not inflate to a high enough psi to actually fill a bicycle tire. still unclear where this leak is coming from.

finally, finally one of the three inner tubes at the exchange actually fits the bike. change inner tube and tire again. discover that tires are starting to crumble.

on the ride home, the whole bike feels like its stuck in a higher gear. can’t figure out why. 2 hours is enough bike maintenance for one day, leave that to a tomorrow problem.

now on the rei website spending too much money to get new tires and a new spare inner tube

in my head after the events of camlann merlin returns to camelot and, still riddled with terrible guilt and grief, confesses to leon about everything that had happened and everything he had done, magic and all. and instead of outrage or betrayal or scorn or judgement (or even death, as he had briefly considered) leon shatters him with a deeply apologetic expression and a whispered “my friend… you must have been so afraid, and so tired.” and merlin collapses into heaving sobs against him and doesn’t get back up for a long time.

This episode was so painful (to us viewers and) for BOTH parents

Misaki realizing that they have almost everything she can’t provide Miri. from all types of clothing, to a room filled with everything the child wants, Misaki realized that this place has everything she couldn’t afford. In her eyes, this is paradise for a child like Miri. 

But if there’s anything Kazuki and Rei can’t do, it’s to provide Miri a normal life. One devoid of lies and danger. If they choose to keep this up, it will hurt them all in the long run.

does adult mav canonically have pre braces TC teeth or did sometime during the early 00s maverick mitchell wear adult braces

some thoughts

1. my knee-jerk reaction was characters are not their actors so who cares let mav’s teeth be whatever you want

2. But engaging w/ this honestly i see a couple possibilities

3. possibility A is that yes mav has fucked crazy bigass teeth (see my post on ice calling him “Peter rabbit” for more on this)

4. possibility B is that part of trying to reinvent himself during their brief divorce era (post pulling rooster’s papers ca. 2002-2005) was getting adult braces and the like 4 times ice saw him during that period he was just so bewildered he didn’t think to comment on it at all

5. (can navy fighter pilots have braces?? i feel like it would immediately obviate any call sign you had and everyone regardless of rank would immediately start calling you “brace face” and that’s what they’d stencil on the side of your f-18 or w/e… Pete “brace face” Mitchell! honor is everything im not sure mav would tolerate that! you lose a LOT of social capital when you have braces as an adult unless you’re actually tom cruise! which mav is not!)

6. Possibility C mav got invisalign circa 2015 when it really started getting popular and had his retainers in during the TGM mission cause why not. that’s funny. you cannot lose a SINGLE day with Invisalign or it sets you back so much. even if you have a suicidal navy mission to drop bombs on a sovereign country ... still gotta wear your Invisalign dumbass
