someone should give me a plot with this big bad gang leader and his super soft and cute girlfriend that has him wrapped around her finger. like he’s a feared man, which she doesn’t really care about. and she’s there to patch him up and while he usually tries to hide her away from the cruel world he’s in whenever he isn’t there with her, she just patiently waits for him when he’s out and about doing his business and he’s so fascinated by her and no matter how much of a bad guy he is, he’s just so soft for her and he’d do anything for her!!! and then his most precious possession gets kidnaped and shit goes down snsnsns (m/f, f/f)

f/f plot where a snobby, graceful, poised and rich prima ballerina falls in love with a reckless pole dancer who is super hot with a 6 pack and colourful hair and the girls are total polar opposites pls hmu

a plot where muse a just needs to get away from everything so she packs up everything into her small shitty car that barley runs and just drives. she loses count of the boarders she crossed until she lands right into the middle of a small town where the population is like 2 thousand and her car breaks down. so she goes into a diner that she sees is open and she asks about a mechanic so the lady in the diner calls up her friend who happens to be muse b, the local mechanic. so muse b comes over and tells her that he wont be able to check her car out until morning bc its like 10 pm now so muse a is going to check into a motel or smth but muse b offers to put her up for the night and bc shes broke she says yeah and basically they end up banging with the intention that after tomorrow they are never gonna see each other again - wrong. muse b goes down to his shop and looks at the engine and a really important parts gone in it and its going to take a couple weeks for it to come in and basically muse a has to stay in this shitty small town for the next couple of weeks AND THEY FALL FOR EACH OTHER AND WE CAN FIGURE THE REST OUT! (m/f, f/f)

I really want a one night stand where she snuck out before he woke up and he tried looking her up but he didn’t even know her full name, so he moved on. Move on years down the road and he’s just gotten engaged and at the engagement part he’s introduced to her sister that’s been living overseas for the past few days, but who is it, that girl from all those years ago. Better yet, meet her child, wait, why do they his eyes.

plot three. six months ago he let the nanny give him head. he has been avoiding talking to her since, and is really flustered. she is a full time, live in nanny in their giant mansion. i’m getting a ‘living in england’ vibe, but i’m not sure. he has 3-4 kids running around with his wife of years. the nanny can’t stand the wife, but is obviously polite. his wife is bitchy, whiny, and all she cares is about appearances. who cares if you’re actually happy? just play happy. pretend to be happy. the nanny loves to fluster him when the wife isn’t home. she’ll wear short outfits, lean over, not wear underwear, forget to wear a bra. it was a holiday. so they invited the nanny to eat dinner with them. she starts rubbing him under the table. later on that day, he pulls the nanny to the side into the bathroom or something to tell her that she had to cut it out and that it was a one time thing. out of the blue - he kisses her hard. just give me lots of behind the wives back, and maybe she gets pregnant down the line?

ok but i need a plot where there’s these two idiots who are roommates, and they bicker and act like a married couple constantly, and can hang out like bros but they’re completely platonic, no we’re not in love that’s preposterous!! and it’s so evident that they’re into each other like whenever one goes out on a date, the other is all bitter like ‘no i’m definitely not jealous’. and they like leave bars together at some stupidly early hour and their friends tease them and they just go home and get drunk together instead. and like domestic washing the dishes and fighting over who does what and flinging soap at each other. and then one day it kind of just clicks, you know, like wow you’re my best friend but i think i might love you as more this is so difficult and just, give this to me now. Pairing - Matthew Daddario x Reader.

Summary - Hi dove! Do you mind writing a Matt imagine where your younger than him and really close to Alberto and kat and he feels a little insecure due to not knowing something you and them talk about and the age gap?

Words - 1478.

A/N - I’m really sorry for the long wait! I have been working on several different projects and they just took up most of my time!

The Shadowhunters cast threw a party in order to celebrate being renewed for a fourth season. It was held at Dominic's flat. He invited everyone, including their significant others. Matthew Daddario, better known as Alexander Lightwood, brought his gorgeous girlfriend with him.

Matthew was 30 while Y/N was merely 24. The two never let the age gap affect them. They always held their heads high and walked proudly together, not letting the media's words get to them. It worked only for so long.

Lately, Matthew has been having doubts and fears. He was scared that Y/N will change her mind about commitment since she's young. He was afraid she'll leave him for someone younger, more suitable to her mentally.

Unknowingly to him, Matthew wasn't the only one who was feeling doubt and his girlfriend was even more scared than him. His beloved girlfriend felt that he'll realise she's too young for him and will leave her for someone more appropriately aged. Someone with whom he has more in common with.

Neither of the two thought about actually talking to the other about what was troubling them. Instead, they distanced themselves, a thing which nearly cost them their relationship.

The pair arrived together but was soon to separate. Y/N went to her closest friends, who happened to be Shadowhunters' younger cast, Alberto Rosende and Katherine McNamara, while Matthew went immediately do the older actors, such as Dominic Sherwood and Harry Shum Jr.

After a couple of hours of interacting with his mates, Matt went to the side of the room to stand by himself. He needed some time alone with his thoughts. His eyes wandered around the room until they landed on his stunning girlfriend.

Matthew couldn't help but stare at his her, who was sitting across the room intently. She was sitting between her best friends on a grey leathered couch. Alberto on her right and Kat on her left.

Matthew felt bad. He was 6 years older than his partner and thought the age gap was starting to affect them. Y/N always hung out with the younger actors and it started to take a toll on Matthew. He wanted to tell her about his concerns but he was afraid she'll think he was right and would leave him. Matthew shook his head and went over to talk with Dominic Sherwood, his co-star and best friend.

"I don't know what to do, man," Matthew said, sighing. He took a sip of his cold beer and leaned his head on the wall behind him.

"Just talk to her. Your relationship is doomed to fail without communication," Dominic reasoned.

Matthew nodded, "You're right, I'll talk with her when we get back to my place."

The two continued to converse, but about not about matters of importance.

Meanwhile, Y/N was feeling just as bad as her boyfriend, "Guys, I don't know what to do," she sighed before continuing, "I care for Matt, I really do, but I can see how our age gap is starting to get to him. What do you think I should do?" she asked, her eyes searching for answers desperately.

"As your official best friend," Alberto began, making Kat scoff, "I say just talk to him. I know he cares for you too, and I don't want to see you two lose what you have because of a silly age gap."

"I couldn't agree more. I mean, look, you don't want to lose him, right?" Kat asked. Y/N nodded in response. "So just talk to him about what's bothering you. Work this out!"

"I'm just scared that after we'll talk he'll want someone older, more mature, who's more fit for him, and he'll leave me," Y/N frowned.

"He'll never leave you, hun! If only you heard the way he speaks about you to us. His eyes shine with adoration and his smile is the biggest I've ever seen," Kat said, making the Y/H/C haired girl blush deeply.

Matthew said his goodbyes to Dominic and Harry, who joined them a while after and went over to where his beautiful girlfriend sat.

"Hey babe, ready to go home?" he asked.

"Yeah, give me a sec, I'll say goodnight to everyone," she smiled at him lovingly.

Y/N hugged Alberto, who stood up with her in order to bid his goodbye properly and then slouched over to hug Kat goodbye. Kat wrapped her arms around Y/N and whispered "You got this, tiger!" in her ear. Y/N smiled warmly at her friend before straightening her back and coming near her boyfriend.

She waved goodbye to everyone else and smiled shyly as Matt wrapped his arm around her shoulders. The two walked in a semi-comfortable silence all the way to Matthew's car. Once seated, and with the car running, the pair spoke simultaneously;

"I'm scared," both of them said. That sent them into a small fit of laughter.

As soon as it died down, the frown returned to their faces.

"Why are you scared?" Y/N asked.

Matthew's eyes kept going back and forth between the road and her face. He admired her features. He wasn't sure if it'd be a good idea to tell her. He didn't want her to leave him, but he also knew that honesty is the key to a successful relationship. That, as well as communication. Without those two, every relationship is doomed to fail. He eventually decided to come right out and say it.

Matthew let out a sigh before beginning, "I'm scared you'll leave me. I'm scared you think I'm too old for you. I'm scared you'll wake up one day, and realise that I'm not what you want." At this point, Y/N had a few tears streaming down her cheeks. She kept her intense gaze on Matt, who was too busy focusing on the road. What she didn't know was that he was avoiding her stare on purpose. He didn't want to look at her, he was too ashamed of himself. Matt took let out another deep sigh before letting out the final sentence that broke him too, "That you'll realise you want someone younger, and that you'll leave me for him." Matthew parked the car in his assigned spot, and laid his head on the steering wheel, crying softly.

"Hey, hey look at me," Y/N said, stroking Matthew's jet black hair softly.

Matthew lifted his head, his gaze slowly meeting hers. Both of their eyes were red and bloodshot. Y/N let a small smile take over her lips at the sight of her boyfriend. Even at his most miserable state, he still looked beautiful. And it was at this moment that Y/N realised she would never want anyone else. She wants to marry the guy in front of her. The guy that is so scared of losing her, he'd actually risk his own life for her.

"I will never leave you. Not for anyone. Not even if Chris Evans came to my house and said that he wants to marry me. You are the only one for me. I love you, Matt." Y/N took Matthew's face between her hands and wiped his tears away. She pulled back and lowered her gaze into her lap, where she fiddled with her fingers before continuing, "I was scared you were going to leave me. That you think I'm too immature for you, and that you'll wake up one day and realise you want someone older, someone with whom you have more in common with."

"No, no, no, no! Baby, I would never! I wouldn't ever dream of it! I love you so fucking much. I could never leave you! Please don't think like that anymore!" Matthew pleaded. His eyes held such sadness and desperation and it broke Y/N's heart even more. Knowing she was the reason he was in this state. This time it was Matthew who cupped Y/N's cheeks. This time it was him who wiped away her tears.

"So we were both scared the other would leave because of the age gap?" Y/N let out a bitter laugh after pulling back from Matt's touch.

"I guess so," Matthew sighed.

"So...Now what?" Y/N inquired.

"Now, I'm gonna take you home and show you how much I love you," Matthew paused to kiss Y/N's lips, "how much I want you to stay," another kiss, "and how happy I am you'll pick me over Chris Evans," another kiss.

The pair finally got out of the car. Matthew walked over to where his gorgeous girlfriend stood and scooped her up into his arms, literally sweeping her off of feet. She let out a small squeak before wrapping her arms around his neck, securing herself from falling.

That night, Matthew sure did show everything he promised to Y/N. And she returned the favour with just as much adoration and love. They never had issues related to their age gap ever again.

Unpopular opinion: im so done with game of thrones tbh. It's not even good anymore :/ I liked the first season but since then i've skipped through episodes because they are just sooo fucking boring and dragged out!

see like the first three seasons were pretty good because they stayed true to the books. (actually that’s a lie, littlefinger’s chaos speech in the s3 finale was real fuckin bad because guess what: it was original material LMAO) the fourth season was where it started to get messy and then the fifth season was a fucking shitshow because they completely IGNORED the fourth book and cherrypicked all the “good” parts out of it (read: the most action-y parts, while ignoring all the most important pieces of character development) and they botched the dorne storyline, oh and who could forget the iconic moment of throwing in a rape (THAT DIDN’T HAPPEN IN THE BOOKS) just for fun :) love it! but anyway if you think the show is boring i probably wouldn’t recommend the books, they’re even slower getting through them lmao. but it’s worth it in my opinion. there’s so much they don’t include in the show and it makes me Angery

Okay, game of thrones fan here, I haven't read the books (yet at least, I bought book 1) but I feel like dany is going to practically turn into her father, this season she is already showing traits like his.......

OH YEAH i definitely feel like they’re moving in that direction in the process of revealing jon as the “true” king of westeros and it’s so bad lmfao. the thing is, like...cersei is already mad king 2.0? why do we need another one?????? the entire point of dany’s arc is that she’s constantly trying to deviate AWAY from the way her father ruled, demonstrated by the fact that she freed the slaves (whereas all the targaryens before were slave owners), the fact that she’s not perpetuating the whole incest thing (LMAO GUESS AGAIN BECAUSE JONERYS HAS TO HAPPEN FOR SOME FCKING REASON), the fact that she has dragons which haven’t existed in how many years...like, if she ever ends up being like her father in the books, it’s NOT gonna fucking happen like this. but i don’t think she will anyway, george rr martin has been pretty clear about her trajectory thus far. anyway this show is so ugly, next question

Idk how much tv you watch, but have you've ever come across a tv show that used music from The Sim? Because once in a while I'll hear Sims 3 build/buy music on some random show and I'll get a lil shook because I find it so weird that the generic music they're using comes from a major game title.

My theory is very similar to the other anons in that Fiona's dad/Lou's ex had a mental illness (schizophrenia, depression, what have you) but he actually did kill himself and that's why she's not completely losing it on Santi because I feel like most people in that situation would have not handled it as well as Lou did

I have panic attacks when I go outside and I wanted to look into alternative stuff since I'm on meds and w/e. I wanted to know if you or friends had any experience or recommendations for buying crystals online like on etsy or amazon. How can you tell if they're real?x

ooooh ok. usually there are shops like those in cities or even in towns with like kitschy little promenades with independent shops. (i know there’s one around the town over from mine, which is so random lmao) i do have friends that have crystals but i think they mostly just collect them for the ~good vibez~ and don’t really look too far into the healing aspects of them. i would say first go with the one that coincides with your birth because those are the ones that are like specifically catered to you and strengthen your being. as for buying online, hmmmmm i mean i don’t really know any specific trustworthy sellers because i don’t have much experience with this, but definitely read the reviews! those will help you a lot <3

i honestly didn’t do much of anything that differs from my usual editing process! i made her eyes a bit bigger by using the clone tool, cloning the top of her eye and applying it a little bit farther up...if that makes sense. it’s hard to explain how to use that tool lmao. and i think i used the liquify tool to bring part of her eyebrow down to look more worried.

For a Death Eater, especially a Lestrange, you captured Rabastan perfectly. It’s clear what drives him and how his mind works, and we can’t see where you take him moving forward in CRT. Introduction: Amos, 21, he/him, GMT

Activity: Starting from February I’ll have a 9-5 job, I’m also writing a dissertation, and I would say I’m have a fairly moderate social life, so I can’t promise to be on 24/7, but I will most likely be on in the evenings, and I will most likely rp when I’m procrastinating doing actual work.

How did you find us? Just through a tumblr search for literate rps

Anything else? On Rabastan’s bio it gives his age as twenty, but looking at the current in game date and the graduation list, I think he’s 22? But I could have figured that out wrong. Either way I’m happy to move his birth year around to fit whatever.

IN CHARACTER

Desired character: Rabastan Lestrange

Birthday / star sign: 17th April 1957 - Aries

Occupation: Unemployed, and that’s the way he likes it. His family is wealthy enough that he’ll probably never have to think too much about money. He can live day to day, and do as he pleases without ever thinking about the gold he’s spending. Being the brother to Rodolphus, he’ll occasionally dress up fancy and attend formal events, shake hands with the right people, pose for the right pictures, give the right comments to the right reporters. However he much prefers pulling the strings of political figures and public opinion from the shadows. As anyone can see, he’s far too busy for an actual job.

Faceclaim: Matthew Daddario (no change, I think? It’s different on his bio, and on the directory. But I’d prefer to use Matthew)

Reason for chosen character: I have a habit of playing squeaky clean or at least morally good characters, and I’ve grown bored of it. I think Rabastan will challenge me, he’s just exciting. I’m inspired to write a morally corrupt bad boy right now, to figure out what drives him and what his motives are. It’ll be interesting to play someone who thinks very differently to how I think.

Rabastan has a lot of qualities that I would usually despise in someone. Obviously, he’s dedicated to this fascist movement. He’s aggressive and violent. He’s definitely not a feminist. Honestly if he were around today he’d probably deny global warming too. He wouldn’t hunt foxes, but only because he’s having too much fun hunting muggles. Any sane person would hate him. So, it’ll be incredibly interesting to find a way to make him likeable. He has a tender side, he has weaknesses, he has affection. He just finds it difficult to access these or admit to them. I don’t think he sees himself as a bad person. I think he can rationalise all his actions and beliefs. Maybe there’s some naivety to him. I think he finds it very hard to do anything at less than 110%. Either he’s indifferent or he’s set on fire with the passion of it all. The things he doesn’t care about fall to the wayside, the things he holds as sacred get his whole attention.

Sex and romance are two very separate things for Rabastan. Sex is something he does to blow off steam. He has an urge and he fulfils it. I think he’s a pretty selfish lover, especially when his partner is a women. I think he’ll take what he wants without too much of a thought for his partner. With men it’s more fun for him, perhaps because he doesn’t really see it as real. Obviously, he’s engaged to Emma at this point. I don’t think he’d see having sex with men as cheating, and no amount of reasoning could convince him otherwise. It’s just a fact that he is never going to marry a man, and he can’t get them pregnant, so having sex with them almost doesn’t count. That being said, I don’t think he’d have a problem with sleeping with other woman whilst engaged to Emma either. Emma sleeping around though, would trigger his temper in a heartbeat.

I feel like there might be some kind of trauma in his past, maybe some older relative praying on him when he was younger, and him experiencing some kind of sexual abuse. This is why he’s emotionally detached from sex, and he likes to be in control of every sexual encounter. But I think that’s very subconscious and he’s probably buried a lot of those memories and feelings.

He’s extremely sceptical of romance and romantic love. He’s never understood it, and never experienced it for himself. If it is real, it’s something that happens to other, softer people. I think one day it’s going to hit him like a train when he’s least expecting it and he’s not going to handle it very gracefully.

CREATE ONE (OR MORE!) OF THE FOLLOWING FOR YOUR CHARACTER

§ Trait expansion:

✓ Charming – Rabastan likes to get what he wants, and if that means he has to draw that person in with a smile, he’ll do it. He knows how to make people feel good. And that just makes it even better when he decides to ruin them. Rabastan can hold an audience captive, can make someone feel like they’re the only person in the world that matters. He can also make them feel like they’re burning from the inside out.

✓ Spontaneous – This doesn’t mean that Rabastan doesn’t think critically and pre-determine certain actions. He’s not an idiot who jumps into situations unprepared. All the time. He’s spontaneous when he feels he can’t lose, or alternatively, when he feels he has nothing left to lose. Showing up at a friend house for an unexpected night out, doing 5 tequila shots and going home with a girl he picked up at the bar, spontaneous but relatively low risk. Dropping his pants during a press conference and declaring his loyalty to the Dark Lord just for the heck of it, fairly high risk, definitely not something he’d do in a hurry. This plays into the fun-loving side of him. He’s game until it isn’t fun anymore, and he’s not going to deliberately do something that’s going to cause him hell.

✕ Deceptive – There are very few people who know the real Rabastan inside and out. His brother is probably one of the closest. Even Rabastan himself isn’t always completely clued in. Though he acts confident, he can doubt his identity. Largely his deceptiveness is a security tactic. If people don’t know the whole truth, they can’t hurt him as efficiently. Unfortunately, this also means he can lose his sense of self.

✕ Easily bored - Rabastan is a hedonist, he gets bored easily, he seeks thrills, he’s not one to sit still and wait for what he wants, he’ll go out and chase it. This does mean he has a few unhealthy habits for dealing with the all too common boredom. Drugs, alcohol, sex, cruelty, or a combination.

§ Potential plots/connections:

The Regular – Someone Rabastan meets up with regularly to let out frustrations, usually in the form of sex, but perhaps with other pass times. Perhaps they think they know Rabastan pretty well, and maybe Rabastan feels the urge to let them in. But he keeps them at arm’s length nonetheless. The more he’s feels vulnerable with them, the more he wants to hurt them. Perhaps Rabastan harbours genuine affection for this person, or maybe they are nothing more than a plaything. Maybe this person feels the same way about him.

The Master – Someone who has power over Rabastan. Maybe they have dirt on him and use it for blackmail, maybe Rabastan owes them a debt, or perhaps Rabastan is inexplicably loyal to them for emotional reasons he’d rather not admit to himself. Whatever the reason, Rabastan is forced to do things he wouldn’t usually choose for himself.

The Rival – Someone that makes Rabastan’s blood boil every time he sees them. Perhaps the bad blood goes back a long way, or maybe the dislike is instantaneous and inexplicable. Rabastan wants nothing more to destroy this person, but they match him blow for blow everytime they go head to head. These battles may take the form of actual duels, or they maybe carefully plotted actions to tears the other’s life apart from the shadows.

The Weakness – Someone Rabastan feels genuinely close to. He may not admit it but he cares for this person deeply, and he doesn’t always know what to do with those feelings. He gets it wrong a lot of the time, he may push them away, but this person knows him better than most. Maybe this knowing is an intuitive feeling, or perhaps its long-term experience gathered over many years. Someone Rabastan would go to when he’s fucked up. Someone he would protect from harm no matter what. This person is Rabastan’s weakness.

Fear, absolutely. Fear drives people, love just slows them down. Besides it’s much easier to cultivate fear. Love doesn’t last long if you don’t tend to it regularly, and I really don’t have the time. You can break someone once and it can infect everything they do for the rest of their lives. That’s power.

§ What is one thing you would never want said about you?

Let it never be said that Rabastan Lestrange doesn’t know how to have a good time. If you think you have a hope in hell of keeping up with me you better buck up your ideas.

Deciding where to eat is always a struggle. Deciding who to eat with. Deciding how much I can tell them. Deciding how to get rid of them when they let me down.

REACTION TO LAST EVENT DROP

Rabastan probably posed for a few pictures when the Daily Prophet started rebuilding. Shook a few hands, smoothed over a few wrinkles. But he probably wasn’t too involved, he’s not interested in the heavy lifting.

Rabastan likes Quidditch as much as the next man. He most likely used the world cup as an excuse to party harder than he usually does. The Aversio stunt made his blood boil. At such a public event, there was nothing he could do to counter it. He did not like feeling helpless. He probably went out to attack some muggles in the following days to vent his frustration.

WRITING SAMPLE

TW: Swearing, drugs

Rabastan padded through the house, tossing the quaffle up and catching it, creating a rhythmic thumping. There was a tenseness in his arms, a restraint, his jaw tight. Then without warning he hurled the quaffle. It smashed directly into a priceless vase, shards of china exploding across the room. He let a huff out through his nostrils as he examined the scene. Damn these insolent rebels. Mudbloods, blood traitors, mislead idiots, he’d kill them all.

The floor boards creaked behind him and when he turned around the girl was standing in the doorway.

“Come back to bed.” She gave him a sly smile but his expression didn’t change.

“Get dressed, and get out.” He said slowly, articulating every word so that even a halfwit like her could understand. Unsurprisingly she didn’t.

“What? I don’t-“

“Leave! Now!” He roared, anger getting the better of him. She flinched as if she’d been physically hit and ran back to the bedroom. He was still, listening, until he heard the front door slam behind her.

With that he took his wand from the harness that kept it strapped to his forearm, and repaired the vase. Everything else was a fucking mess, no need for his living space to reflect that. The girl had been a nice distraction the night before but she was nothing. Now he needed to focus on the bigger problems, like retrieving his fiancée. It wasn’t so much a matter of love, but pride. She belonged to him, and every hour she was withheld from him was an insult. Of course not being the Minister of Magic his problems were pushed down the priority list. He didn’t trust the Aurors to return her safely to him either. Half of them were probably involved in the capture, and those that weren’t were incapable fools. If he wanted her found, he’d have to do it himself. He was half tempted to leave it a little longer. It would stir up more public sympathy, a bigger story when she was miraculously saved by her doting fiancé. Besides, if she was stupid enough to get herself kidnapped she might as well suffer a little longer.

However, he was impatient. Now, he could play detective, or he could smoke out a member of aversio, using them for information or a bargaining chip. He knew which one appealed to him more.

He scribbled a quick note about his intentions to his brother and tossed his jittery bird out of the window. It didn’t go into detail, that would be careless, but Rodolphus would understand. Not that he would take it seriously. Rodolphus rarely took him seriously.

He picked out his clothes carefully, making sure his appearance was immaculate in the mirror. Appearances were everything. Then he took a small vial from a drawer and downed the potion. It burned the back of his throat, and a small involuntary gasp escaped when it hit his system, his eyes blown wide for a second before returning to normal. It wasn’t anything particularly strong, just something to sharpen his edges. There were some in the drawer that could send him into oblivion, but this was all he needed today.

His wand was now strapped back to his arm, hidden discreetly beneath his shirt, but still easily accessible. He checked it once more. Every second his intentions became clearer and his future actions more defined. With purpose, he turned on the spot and disapparated.

It was time to go hunting.

i haven’t written out a 100% solid backstory for my guy max atwood (matthew daddario) but what i have in my head is that max was the youngest of two boys, and was extremely close to his older brother even though they were polar opposites. his brother was highly emotional, very artistic and very connected to the earth in an almost hippie fashion, whereas max is vastly more pessimistic, detached, and only passionate about few things (his brother was a sculptor, max is grounded in music due to his mother and became a club dj on the rise) despite their differences deep down max always looked up to his brother, admired that he could achieve an ‘american’ dream while max was moreso dredged in reality, working his ass off and keeping relationships at arms length. in short max’s brother moved from boston and went and made a life for himself elsewhere (they kept in close contact) and in that time became a father of his singular daughter gwendolyn. though max is super anti-kid the few times he saw his niece he still softened to her and respected that his brother was taking fatherhood in stride. now i’m not sure about the mother side of things yet, but as a soured result of his relationship with gwen’s mother, max’s brother recently committed suicide and left max ABSOLUTELY devastated and furious. ‘why didn’t he reach out,’ ‘why did he leave me behind’ kind of furious. they were supposed to be brothers after all.

amidst his grief, shock and unrelenting frustration max tried to carry on with potentially signing on to a tour in his dj career, but social services swerved into his lane with shocking news. due to the absence of the mother (be it death or the fact that she’s unfit) and his parents being too unwell to raise a child, max’s brother stipulated in both his goodbye letter and will that max gain custody of gwendolyn. max, being a typically single cynic with no idea how to tend to a child, was terrified at the idea of essentially becoming a ‘dad.’ but in thinking of his brother and his innocent niece in the hands of somebody other than him, he couldn’t withstand anybody else taking guardianship of her. he went through all the necessary paperwork, court legalities and what not, and halted his career to raise gwen in boston. it’s been a year since he’s gained custody, gwen is at the chatterbox age of six and she’s literally the only being to garner any kind of emotion/tenderness from max. he’d rather hang himself then admit he loves playing princess and dragon with her, has soaked his pink nail polished fingers in acetone for days at a time and sometimes tears up when gwen claims she’s glad her uncle could now be her daddy. he likes to think he’s getting the hang of this parenting thing (lbr his braiding techniques suck, he overfills her lunch box as if she’s eating for five and threatens any kids that tease her with shit like ‘i’m going to come out your fucking closet and eat your oreos, kid’) but it’s come at the cost of zero progression within his career, and having to remain grounded when before he was content with drinking, fooling about and letting the laundry pile up.

not to mention his love life is on empty and gwen doesn’t let him forget it (’she’s pretty huuuuuuuuuh??’ ‘yeah, but sunsets are pretty too and we don’t fling ourselves into the sun gwen.’) between dj-ing at night, rushing gwen to school in the morning and basically not trusting anyone near his daughter niece, max just hasn’t bothered. THIS IS WHERE THE GAL I’M REQUESTING COMES IN. it’s the eve of gwen’s 7th birthday and he wants to do this one right (the last one he doesn’t even like to acknowledge, the donkey at the petting zoo bit her okay) so he puts together this park bash and hires a disney princess to entertain the kids (see this link if you don’t know what a princess party is!!!) in comes girl, which in my head i saw her playing as ariel but pending the face claim we can change the princess!! outside of her character persona this girl is a true romantic, having only had two relationships and deeply believing in soulmates, marriage ect. disgustingly bubbly, extraordinarily good with kids, it’s as if she’s literally a human disney character (like giselle in enchanted “it's like you escaped from a hallmark card or something”) needless to say when max first meets her he’s like “.................-snorts-” but when he sees how gwen responds to her....oh boy it’s over. she makes the party a hit and gwen will NOT shut up about how perfect she is. that night max literally bangs his head on the wall because this is STUPID why is he thinking about a chick that acts like a three year old for a living and talks about true love and UGH DUMB HER EYES WERE SO NICE THOUGH.

it seems as though girl was thinking of him too. because she sends a text (initially the messaging was used to set up the party) talking about how much she adored gwen and thought he was a very attentive father. much against his better judgement they have a day out (for ice cream because she’s so pure she doesn’t bask in the bar scene) and it’s like the grim reaper and cupid are waltzing down the street, she’s so full of energy and warmth over all things bad and max is just like.....how do you fucking exist THERE IS NO HAPPY ENDING FOR ANY OF US WE ALL DIE AND THAT’S IT. he’s so down and jaded over his brother and won’t outright tell her, so instead he jabs fingers and yells and tries to get her to understand that life isn’t a god damn fairytale. but much atone to his brother, her affirmation that there /is/ something good waiting for him gives him hope. he hates that shit, why does she DO that. it’s what makes him keep coming around, very very slowly altering his perceptions in the way that she dances on street corners without music, dishes out twenties to the homeless and leaves breakfast bagels on his doorstep (annoyingly THE KIND HE LIKES TOO) to the point where they having an outing with both them and gwen and....it’s so perfect. so god damn perfect, as if they’ve been a family unit all along. to want somebody in his life, one that grossly objects to everything he’s believed in...it’s paralyzing. to be happy for once, he can’t exactly cope with it.

naturally he’ll fuck it all up at some point, probably upsetting both her and gwen, and i’ve yet to decide if gwen’s mother will be alive and come into the picture, idk yet!!! but it’ll be adorable and then it’ll BURN BECAUSE I’M AWFUL. but oh god it’s all so sugary and lame i LOVE IT PLEASE TAKE HER. in my mind i had holland roden or lily collins to coincide with her playing red haired ariel but if you already have a face and want to take this we can work something out!!! she’d be around 25-26, probably a boston native, working for a princess party company and like a living fairytale in her ideals (but probably so far gone that she doesn’t know how to cope with bad shit or rejection, is probably naive, just to name a few negative traits!!!) the rest is up to you! drop a reply or send me an ask for her and i’ll respond asap <3

I happened to stumble upon Shadowhunters and it's actually quite interesting. I tend to do some research before I fully dive into a fandom so I have some questions if you don't mind. Going through various forms of social media i noticed that Alec tends to be the fan favorite by the showings of posts, polls, and comments, etc. Malec seems to be the fan favorite ship by the same means. What's so special about Alec and Malec and this show in general?

How do I love Malec? I cannot actually count the ways…

So this is probably going to get wordy, mostly because in all my years of fandom and shipping, I have never come across anything like Malec. I was at the ground floor of Dean/Cas, I cooed over McShep, had high hopes for JohnLock, and dabbled in about a dozen other fandoms only to come up short and disappointed every time. So I wanted to start with what I feel is the most important aspect of this ship: They are canon. And not just “here’s our token gay couple let’s shove them off to the side” canon, but “these two characters and their burgeoning relationship is a fundamental part of the fabric of our show so let’s do right by them” canon and that, in my experience, is revolutionary.

But that’s from a media perspective. And though it’s all well and good, what has really drawn me in are the characters and the thoughtful, heartfelt portrayals of them by Matthew Daddario and Harry Shum Jr. Which is what I am going to word vomit about after the cut.

So here is my love letter to Alec and Magnus:

You are probably right in assuming that Matthew/Alec is the fandom darling (although my heart belongs equally, and sometimes even more so to Harry/Magnus). But I will admit that even for me, Alec was the first one I fell in love with, and I think that’s because I (and a lot of other people that find solace in fandom) can relate to him on a very deep level.

Alec is selfless. He is constantly putting others in front of himself, even in front of his own life. He will do literally anything for the people he loves, most notably his sister and his adopted brother. He is a soldier who has given his entire life to the cause he was born to believe in, but as the first season goes along he becomes conflicted. He sees not only that the organization he has sworn allegiance to may not always be as right as he always thought, or that the parents he has always battled to impress while constantly being told he wasn’t good enough might not be as squeaky clean as he always thought, but he sees that the life (his life) that he has been taught not to value apart from what good and use it can bring to others might actually mean something in and of itself. That maybe, just maybe it’s okay for him to want things. To want happiness. But in season one, that’s still a big maybe.

Because not only is he a soldier who thinks his only value is in the lives he can save by willingly sacrificing his own, but he’s a deeply closeted young gay man who very clearly despises himself for what he and the homophobic society he lives in deems as wrong. A man who also believes that he is in love with his very straight adopted brother. And so a man who thinks that the very baseline of himself is ugly and wrong.

And this is when he meets Magnus. Magnus Bane, a centuries old warlock. A bisexual MOC who is quite literally both the most fabulous and most badass person in any room he enters. Magnus, who sparkles like a glitter-soaked sun but who also has an amazing depth that just makes you want to protect him from the evils of the world (even though you know he is strong enough to protect himself).

A man who has lived through countless wars, fought countless battles, lost countless friends and lovers but who still manages to be kind and giving and generous and loving to everyone he comes into contact with, including Shadowhunters, who have historically been horrible and vile to people like him simply because of the fact that he was born with demon blood in his veins.

In season one, we don’t get as much development with Magnus as we do with Alec, but Harry… my God, does Harry give us so much with even the smallest of glances. How he can smile while conveying with his eyes how much Magnus’ heart is breaking. And so when Magnus tells Alec that for almost a century he has closed himself off to caring about anyone, man or woman, but that Alec has somehow, miraculously, unlocked something in him, you believe it all the way into the core of your heart. And you want, more than anything, for these two to find a way to be together.

Which brings me to Malec. The pairing that is quite literally, at the moment, saving my life. Two people on the cusp of love that just happen to both be males in an entertainment industry that tends to shuffle this type of storyline to the side, if they even develop it at all. Which is why, at the end of season one, I remember thinking: I have no idea how they’re going to develop this, because their season one development is usually what M/M or F/F pairings get EVER. There’s buildup, tension, will they won’t they, then they kiss and that’s… it. They’re magically a couple, never to be heard from again until one of them cheats or they get married and try to adopt a kid. But that was just the START for these two, and if the season two premiere is anything to go by, we’re going to get even more revolutionary storytelling for them going forward.

Because when it all boils down, these two characters are being portrayed as people. As individuals. With their own stories, their own drives, their own histories and baggage. And so their relationship is one that is going to be very human. They will fight and make up. They will make mistakes. There will be days when they won’t be able to stand to look at one another, and other days when they won’t be able to stand being out of each other’s sight. And at the end of it all, they will continue to be totally relatable.

Alec Lightwood is a half angel demon hunter, but he is also a broken man, unloved by his parents, fiercely protective of his siblings, willing to lay down his very life for anyone that needs him to. A young man who has pushed a vital part of himself down for his entire life because he thought he was wrong to feel that way. And a young man who learned last season that it’s not wrong, that HE is not wrong, and that it’s okay to love someone. To love a man. To want love and be loved and try to reach out for love even though “Shadowhunters don’t have feelings” and “boys shouldn’t like boys” and “my parents have convinced me somehow that I am absolute garbage deserving of nothing but pain.” How many of us have had similar feelings? And how many of us have hopefully found that same strength to open our eyes and see, like Alec, that we’re worthy? Not because of what we do or who we save, but because of who we are.

Magnus Bane is a centuries old warlock, but he is also a broken man as well. A man who has been told his whole life that because he is half demon, he is lesser. He is tainted. A man whose own mother killed herself when she found out what he was, and whose stepfather tried to drown him for the same reason. A man who helps Shadowhunters willingly even though the vast majority of them look at him like he is beneath them. A man who has been burned by love before, who has watched human lovers die of old age after living with them at his side for a half a century, and who has watched immortal lovers rip him to shreds from the inside out for foolishly giving his heart to them, but who still reaches out for love with everything he has. Who is pushed away by Alec so many times but still keeps coming back because he knows there’s something there, something potentially great, something worth it. Because he knows ALEC is worth it, and because he knows that he, Magnus, is worthy of something good like Alec.

These aren’t just characters. They aren’t archetypes. They are living, breathing entities, leaping off the screen. The show in general is good, and it seems as if second season is going to make it GREAT, but there’s no denying that the scenes that shine the most are the ones with Alec and Magnus in them because Matt and Harry care, plain and simple. They care deeply for these characters, for the story they’re telling, the lives they’re touching, and that shows. That’s why I hold my breath every time they’re in the same room as one another, and that’s why I know countless other people do as well. And this season we won’t just get to see that, but we’ll get to see THEM, being “real people,” together and apart. Not a sideshow. Not a B, C, or even D plot, but vital. Integral. Raw and real and warm. And that’s all I have to say about that. :)

FACECLAIM: Matthew Daddario DESIRED CHARACTER: Robert ‘Trey’ Dylan Samuels III FAMILY & RELATION: Weston & His mother is a Weston, her brother is Brody’s dad. They lived in a rundown house and have always had a very toxic relationship. They aren’t married but his father always treated his mother like he owns her and when Trey turned five, his father started to treat him the same way. His father burned all ties with his family becasue they knew how he was, a mental and physically abusive drug addict - that could do nothing but bad for their family name. His mother’s family wanted nothing more to do with her after they had repeatedly tried to save her and infant Trey from her boyfriend. He has always lied about his family life if anyone gets close enough for him to even tell them things about himself. Because of his past and home life, he refuses to let anyone know where he’s from, out of embarrassment. His father and mother had never really worked. Trey is the oldest of four kids and they always expected him to pay all bills and be “the man of the house”. If for any reason he didn’t get things paid on time, that’s when he would cover up new bruises. Trey is fresh out of the Juvenile Detention Center. He got mixed in with the wrong group of friends at his last school and has spent the nine months in there after he was in on stealing a few cars one night. He was promised a few thousand bucks and he couldn’t turn down that opportunity. He had been doing it a few times before they had gotten caught and if he ever needed to do it again, he would. He also has a lot of theft on his record and a few for trespassing. He is very good with technology and hacking. When he was in seventh grade, his teacher kept him behind to let him know that he had a failing grade in one subject and that she was going to have to speak to his parents. He played the crying card and she left him alone for a second in her room. He took a look at her computer and the websites she was using and went to the library and starting looking up how to hack things. He couldn’t risk her calling home, not because of the grade, he didn’t care about the grade. He just didn’t want to get in trouble because his father would have been mad that she even bothered to contact him with something that stupid in his eyes. He was able to eventually gain access after some failed attempts and changed a few no homework grades to small scores. Bumping his grade a little higher, nothing too insane. He did the same for a few others so it wouldn’t be obvious who did it. When he got asked by a fellow student about the whole thing when it came out, he replied with a simple “it was a lot easier than it sounds.” And from then on he would hack and create anything for anyone in secret. He didn’t even have to be paid money, he would accept payment in clothes, food, accessories. Anything he never really had to being with. He recently got asked by a person online to create an anonymous website that could be linked up to an app. It paid a good amount of money and he didn’t think twice about creating it for whoever. What he didn’t know was that he was helping someone create what is about to become “the list” and he’s nervous to find out what’ll happen if someone ties him back to it. HEADCANONS: He just started going to school at WMHS right before winter break started. After getting kicked out of his last one for fighting and not attending for being in juvy. He’s a Sophomore but he’s actually supposed to be a Senior. He failed second grade and his Sophomore year last year since he never got to finish out the last school year. He’s actually very smart, he just doesn’t broadcast it to everyone because he has a lot more than school on his mind. He is very passionate about learning, writing and photography. It’s not anything he broadcasts but he does always have a camera around his neck and some novel in his bag at all times. He can be out in Lima at all hours taking pictures of old run down buildings or scenery that catch his eye. Trey had always pretty much the man of the house, practically the parent, taking care of himself and younger siblings any way possible. He has two younger brothers and a younger sister. When he got out in early December he arrived to an abandoned house. Everything was gone and so was his family. His stuff was left in his old room and that was that. He doesn’t know where they are or even how to get in contact with them. His father always told him he’d be homeless if he fucked up and couldn’t do his part in the family and he kept true to that. He was able to stay there for a while but one morning he had gotten woken up by the people who were putting locks on the doors and doing a sweep of the house to keep intruders out so they could fix it up and sell it. He grabbed all the stuff he could carry and is now living wherever he can. Not really knowing many people he can’t house surf so he spends his time at local motels or at the school. Having a very muscular appearance, at first glance, he does appear to be ‘the jock’ type. However, he’s far from it. He’s only “fit” because of playing soccer at his last school. When it comes to clothing, Trey normally wears what he can get his hands on - literally. He doesn’t come from money and he doesn’t have any that he can just throw around, considering that it’s all illegal. He goes with the daily choice of jeans or basketball shorts and some type of plain t-shirt. If he’s wearing anything name brand, he more than likely stole it from a store or someone. His hair a thick mess just resting on the top of his head. Most people describe it as the ‘Justin Bieber’ style but he describes it as ‘I woke up like this’. He also has a tattoo wrapped around his right lower calf, written that is swirled around it in a ribbon that reads “happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn the light on.” - with a lot of black clouds surrounding it. Having self-worth or confidence is not something he has ever possessed. He knows he’s pretty much a loner. He’s not into things others are, so he never has much to talk about. With his past, he believe he’s destined for his fathers future with all the studies he has read. He tries not to drink or do drugs, in fear of what he may become. He does everything in his power to be “good” but can he really out weigh his own fate, is the real question. Before he went to juvy he was dating this girl that was no good for him. She got him hooked on drugs and all sorts of things but he loved her and he thought she loved him but turns out she was just using him. When he got out he hadn’t really talked to her until one day he saw her out hugged up with his supposed to be best friend and he decided to close himself off to love or relationships. He’s nine months sober and he hopes to keep it that way since he started to attend therapy a few times a week.
