You weren’t one for parties, especially rooftop parties. You only went to this specific rooftop party because it was your friend’s roommate’s birthday, and she promised you that it was going to be lowkey and fun when it was anything but. Yet, you had a good time— when the company is good, why wouldn’t everything else be good? Some kids were still yakking off the roof while others were getting completely stoned or crossed, but the ones that were still somewhat coherent were cool. There was one person in particular that you were drawn to the most, not because you were attracted to him (although he was very attractive, you’ll give him that), but because the air around him was so calming and he seemed to vibe with literally everyone.
“Him? That’s Minjae,” Junmin, one of the boys you were talking to at the party, told you when you asked. “How do you not know Minjae?”
“I mean… It’s my first time seeing him—”
“Still, he’s infamous at these parties.”
“This is my first time at one of these rooftop parties. Cut me some slack, Junmin.”
“Well, I’d just warn you and say don’t get too close,” Junmin brought his voice down and said ominously.
“Why do you say that?” you matched his decibel, clearly not taking him seriously.
“He’s… A character. Kind of loose. I mean, you see how many girls go swarming to him. It happens all the time, and it happens for a reason”
“Dude, I’m not looking to fuck him. I just want to befriend the guy, is all.”
“That’s what they all say,” Junmin sighed loudly. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you.”
“Heard loud and clear.”
You wanted to defy Junmin, but he was just so sinister with informing you about Minjae that you dropped the idea of befriending the guy in general. You spent the rest of the party interacting with other people, completely unaware that Minjae’s gaze kept flickering to you every so often.
Tumblr media
You saw Minjae again at Junmin’s rooftop party, but you paid no mind to him. This time, you steered clear of him because he was surrounded by a bunch of girls— girls that definitely were not at the party you were at the other night. You knew after what Junmin said that Minjae was a popular guy, but it didn’t fully register in your head until that moment. Maybe it was his soft, brown hair that spilled over his face and gave his eyes a mysterious charm that made the girls fall for him, or maybe it was his irresistible smile and laugh. Whatever it was, there was just something about him that drew girls to him like a moth to a flame.
You kept to yourself for the most part during Junmin’s party. Junmin was running around the rooftop trying to make sure his friends didn’t fall over the balcony or throw up anywhere that wasn’t a toilet— honestly, seeing him scramble all over the place did not make you jealous in the slightest. If anything, it was entertaining to see him break a sweat and make sure the party didn’t completely fall apart.
While you were observing Junmin, you didn’t realize that Minjae actually approached you and stood right next to you with every intention to flirt with the one girl at the party that wasn’t all over him.
“Hey,” you heard him speak into your ear, startling you completely.
“What the— Oh?” you were fully prepared to fight whoever it was that scared you, but when you saw Minjae’s beautiful face super close to yours, you short-circuited. “H-hello…”
He held his hand out for you to shake.
“Minjae.”
You nearly said “I know” in response, but you choked back that first instinct. You shook his hand.
“Y/N.”
There was a beat of silence. Honestly, you didn’t know what to say to him because Junmin truly scared the shit out of you, so the only questions on your mind was just to inquire about his reputation.
“You know, I saw you at the last party and wondered who you were because I’ve never seen you at any of these parties,” Minjae said, trying to continue the conversation.
“Yeah, I’m not really a party person,” you admitted.
“But you’re here at this one?”
“Because Junmin invited me.”
“What about the last one?”
“My friend invited me since it was her roommate’s birthday.”
“Oh, okay that makes sense.”
Minjae nodded and smiled at you, making you feel slightly guilty that your impression of him was so tarnished thanks to your own assumptions. He ended up getting more words out of you and got you comfortable enough to have very candid conversations about everything. He had a very complex view on the world that you resonated with, and it made you want to know more about him. There was definitely a deeper side of him that he was hiding, and you wanted to find it.
You were so engrossed in your conversation with him that you didn’t realize how much time had passed and that most of the party had cleared out until Junmin approached you and Minjae, his hair and clothes completely disheveled.
“I appreciate you both so much, but I’m going to have to ask you both to go the fuck home,” Junmin said with a heavy sigh.
You checked your phone and saw many, many missed calls from your roommate, and you also saw that it was four in the morning.
“Damn, it’s already this late? Sorry, Junmin,” you apologized.
“We’ll leave now,” Minjae added.
We? You looked at Minjae with slight confusion.
“Thanks. Get home safe— And, Y/N, text me when you get home,” Junmin instructed.
“Ow, you don’t want to know if I got home?” Minjae asked feigning hurt.
“You’ll be fine,” Junmin rolled his eyes and pushed Minjae away. “Get out.”
You and Minjae left Junmin’s apartment building, and before you could bid adieu and head home, Minjae asked, “What direction are you headed in?”
“There,” you pointed.
“I’ll walk you home,” Minjae stated.
You eyed Minjae suspiciously, wondering if he had any other intentions by walking you home. Deciphering your look, he held his hands up and said, “No, I just want to make sure you get home safe, too. It’s four in the morning, and you are a woman after all.”
You were still not convinced of his intentions. It was only when he held out his pinky and looked at you with the most sincerest of eyes did you cave and let him walk you home.
During your walk, you both continued to have a deep discussion about the world to the point where you didn’t even realize that you had already gotten back to your dorm. Before you went inside, Minjae stopped you.
“Wait, I have a question for you.”
“What is it?”
“If I invited you to one of my parties, would you come?”
You briefly pondered the thought before nodding. He grinned at you then held out his phone. “I’ll text you the next time I throw one,” he said.
You gave him your number, and with that, you both parted ways.
You seriously wondered why Junmin told you to avoid Minjae in the first place. He didn’t seem so bad.
Tumblr media
You and Minjae became friends since the night you exchanged numbers. Not once did you feel like Minjae was trying to get into your pants or anything—especially because he mostly texted you— making you doubt Junmin’s explanation of the guy more and more. When you asked Junmin, he refused to elaborate on it further, so you had to settle for a shrug and acceptance that Junmin was probably just really wrong about Minjae.
you:
what’re you doing rn?”
You ended up texting Minjae right in the middle of class one fine day. You shouldn’t have been on your phone, but the class was such a drag that you desperately needed the distraction.
minjae:
studio why
you:
ah okay nah i was just bored is all
minjae:
you can come to the studio if you want
you:
yeah? you sure?
And immediately, Minjae sent you an address along with a room number— it was one of the buildings on campus, but you had no idea which one it was until you got there. It was the music building on campus, also known as a building you’ve never entered on campus and never thought you would enter because you were not in the music composition major. You were nervous as hell the entire time you were making your way to the studio that Minjae was in until you saw him down the hall, half his body out the door as he looked and waited for you.
You had never seen any sort of music studio before, and were honestly quite surprised to see that your school had such a professional one— well, multiple professional ones since the entire hall you walked down was filled with studios— readily available on campus. It was completely soundproof inside, and it was also dark as hell in there. There were no windows or anything. Just a room, a chair, a computer, a monitor, a bunch of keyboards, and an audio mixer.
“I thought this was a recording studio?” you questioned.
“This is the mixing studio. So if we don’t have to record vocals or instruments and just need digital, we can use this room,” Minjae explained.
“Oh…”
“Want to listen?”
“Sure.”
Minjae let you have a seat in the singular chair in the room and gave you the headphones. As soon as you were comfortable, he played the song for you. It was upbeat, but also melancholic in a way. You found yourself nodding along to the beat of the song the more you listened, and when the song ended, you were amazed but also confused because that was super short.
“This is really good,” you told the boy as you handed the headphones back.
“Yeah, but it’s still not done. I only played you the intro into the first chorus since that’s all I got right now,” he said with a tiny sigh.
“Still, what you have so far is so good. I can’t wait to hear the whole song now.”
With a small smile, Minjae reclaimed his seat, leaving you standing. You looked around, trying to find a place to sit, but the only place to sit was the singular chair in the room that Minjae was using.
“I’ll head out then, leave you to it,” you told the boy as you reached for the door handle.
“Honestly, you can stay if you’d like,” Minjae said without tearing his eyes away from the screen.
“Won’t it be weird if I’m just sitting on the ground in the corner?”
“What? You can sit in the chair with me.”
You eyed the chair, then looked at Minjae skeptically. “You really think that we’ll both fit in the chair?”
“Yeah, the arms come up. See,” Minjae said as he proceeded to demonstrate— and they did.
You somehow found yourself sitting on one edge of the chair while Minjae sat on the other. You though he would be uncomfortable working like that, but he seemed perfectly fine and completely focused on his work. You tried to keep your eyes on the screen, but for some reason, your eyes kept straying towards the boy.
Minjae was very attractive usually, but he was absolutely breathtaking from the side. His chin was tilted upwards since the monitor was on an elevated desk, so you got the best view of his jawline. He unconsciously licked his lower lip as he clicked on the screen, and he bit his lower lip while he focus, the mere acts send flashes of heat through your body.
He usually looked like a very soft, very cuddly boy, but this version of Minjae you got to see was incredibly sexy— unbelievably and unbearably sexy. He was so immersed in his work that he just oozed charisma, and the way his arms would subtly flex when he moved the mouse around or clicked or typed made you pay more attention to the way he was built— so much attention that you started wondering what he looked like underneath since his arms were pretty muscular.
It was only when he turned his head to look at you did you suddenly snap out of your daydream. You looked right at the monitor thinking you barely avoided Minjae noticing you staring, but he noticed well before he even turned to look at you. In fact, he felt you staring him down, and despite the fact that he was playing the song, he heard you gulp the building pool of saliva in your mouth. Plus, it did not help your case that your face and ears were reddening slowly.
“Y/N,” Minjae said, nearly startling you out of your skin.
“Y-yeah?”
“You good?”
“Y-yeah…”
“You sure?”
You were going to respond with another yeah, but the words got stuck in the back of your throat when you felt his hand on your thigh, his hand rubbing inwards ever so slowly. Butterflies rampaged through your entire body when you felt his burning touch, the impure thoughts in your head getting dirtier by the second.
“You know, if you wanted, you could just ask.”
“What’re you talking about?” you deflected while trying to reclaim your thigh from him; but, you were unsuccessful, and he ended up moving his hand along your thigh, closer to your crotch. “Okay! Okay, I know, what you mean!”
“I can help you relieve that tension right now if you’d like.”
“Right now? In here?”
Minjae nodded.
“Are you insane?! In here?! What the fuck?!”
“Got a problem with that?”
“A bunch!” your voice nearly shrilled. “Aren’t there cameras? What if someone walks in? And—”
“No one will come in here since you need to have the key card to get in, and there are no cameras in here.”
“Still, but…”
You tried to find more reasons to object to having sex in the studio, but when his hand reached for your face and his fingers held your chin, your mind melted. He brought your face closer to his, and your eyes fluttered close when he brought his lips towards yours, but he stopped, his lips mere millimeters from yours.
“Is it because you don’t want to do this with me, or because you’re just nervous about the location?”
“…The latter.”
“If that’s the case, then don’t worry about it.”
“How a can I not worry about it when that’s all I’ll be thinking about?”
“Then I’ll fuck you so hard that you won’t even be able to think.”
Without a second to lose, Minjae’s lips were on yours. You didn’t think he was going to be so intense with you right off the bat, but when his tongue pushed into your mouth, you were completely taken aback. You leaned into him and held onto his shoulders when you felt his hands move down to your waist. His fingers slipped under your shirt and tiptoed their way up, leaving goosebumps in their wake. When his hands went over your breasts and started massaging over your bra painfully well, your grip on him tightened, and you pushed yourself further into his chest, a slight moan leaving your lips. You for sure thought Minjae was going to laugh at your reaction to his touch, but he was so intently focused on you that he was just eating up every single noise that escaped your soul.
You whimpered and whined slightly when his lips left yours, a thin string of saliva barely connecting his tongue to yours before being broken the second he brought his lips to your neck and started sucking lightly on your skin. His hands held the bottom of your shirt and pulled it upwards, your bra getting pushed up shortly thereafter. You flung your head back and let out a gasp mixed with a sigh when he started sucking on your nipple, his teeth nibbling slightly as he did so. He pinched and twisted your other nipple, sending shocks down your spine.
Next thing you knew, you were fully naked and sitting all by yourself on the swivel chair, the arm rests down for you to grip. Minjae lifted one of your legs and set it over his shoulder as he pushed the other to the side to fully reveal your soaking wet cunt, your slick glistening with the lights of the monitor. You felt Minjae exhale lightly, making your toes curl with excitement and lust. You face was burning up when you looked down to see Minjae looking up at you with shining eyes and a little smirk on his face. He didn’t have to utter a word for you to know that he was thoroughly entertained by your reaction to his being.
It was when he licked a stripe down your cunt did you fully lose your mind. Yellow and white sparks filled your vision as Minjae took his time with you. His tongue swirled around your clit, and he slipped a delicate finger through your folds. He curled the finger inside you and left it there the more he slurped you up and let his tongue wildly flick against your raw bud. You gripped onto the arm rests for dear life and bit your lower lip painfully hard when you felt the finger slip out and his tongue replace its position.
“Darling, you can be as loud as you want. No one’s gonna hear a fucking thing,” Minjae said softly as looked up at you with devious eyes and a slight smirk, your arousal fluid completely coating his mouth.
You weren’t planning on taking him up on that until he sucked on your clit, the feeling of the suction absolutely driving you up the wall. A sweet, loud moan sounded in the studio, more gasps and moans tumbling out of your mouth when you felt him slip two of his fingers inside you, fingering you slowly but with immense intention. Your hands left the arm rests and moved to his hair, his hair bunching up in your fists as you pushed him closer to your pussy.
“Ah! Mmm— Min-Minjae,” you cried as you tugged at his hair, prompting him to look at you. “More…”
Wordlessly, Minjae delivered. He kept curling his fingers inside you every time he pulled his fingers out, and he fingered you way faster as he slurped obnoxiously, your arousal filling his mouth completely. It was when he left your clit with a sickly sweet kiss did you cum, white filling your vision as you flung your head back and moaned loudly. You squirted right into his mouth, the boy downing everything like it was his last meal. You felt your face get hotter the more lewd noises he made with just his tongue and your pussy.
You thought he would be done, but he was far from over. He barely gave you a second to rest before diving in again, his fingers ruthlessly fingering you and rubbing along your g-spot repetitively, overstimulating you to the max. You were still riding your high when he pushed further, and it felt like you were seeing heaven and hell at the same time when you came for the second time, white filling your vision as you felt your body nearly burst into flames.
“W-wait, Minjae,” you said while breathing heavily, your hands desperately pushing his head away from your cunt. “I just—”
You cut yourself off when you saw his face, your arousal dribbling down his lips and dripping from his chin, his face pink and rosy. You were completely shocked— not once had you cum like that for any boy you had hooked up with in the past, and you definitely did not expect yourself to cum that hard ever in your entire lifetime. So, when you saw that the collar of Minjae’s shirt was also drenched, you wanted the Earth to swallow you whole.
“I guess I have to,” Minjae said as he stood up. He used the bottom of his shirt to wipe his face, giving you the slightest peak at his toned torso. “I’ve got to check out of the studio soon, so we’ll continue this back at my place if that’s alright with you.”
You finally understood what Junmin was hinting at. Minjae was going to be the best sex you ever had, and there was no going back from there.
“Fuck, yes, please.”

Thinking about getting into kotlc. What specifically do you like and find recommendable about it?
Keeper of the Lost Cities is my all time favorite book series. It's not the objectively best story I've ever read, but it's my favorite. Here are a few reasons you should ABSOLUTELY read KOTLC:
Fantastic adoption plot. The process of Grady and Edaline adopting Sophie and the complicated way Sophie grows to see them as parental figures, the ups and downs, the way it takes years for her to decide to adress one of them as mom or dad, the way those moments are portrayed as special... it really clicks, especially as someone from a foster family.
The main character is super realistic and well developed. She undergoes a lot of non-linear character development. She has strong beliefs that sometimes conflict with what she's expected to stand for. Her journey from book one to book nine with how she learns to be a leader, stand up for herself, and do what she thinks is right all the time is super well portrayed.
The characters and their relationships are very well developed and complex. Yes, certain things are made very clear through the narration because Shannon is in fact writing for kids, but after books one and two a lot of the kids series feel vanishes almost entirely. I mean, no, it's still charming and silly most of the time, but it doesn't feel as young, especially as the characters grow older and a lot of darker and more complicated issues begin to arise.
The portrayal of the dystopia is fascinating. KOTLC is not in the dystopian genre for a reason. The Lost Cities are not presented as a dystopia at all. That just... comes out slowly. Sophie goes there and is told that everything about the world is perfect, and since everything is sparkling and glittering, it must be, right? She has a few early thoughts about how certain things seem wrong, and those thoughts continue to grow as the problems with the Lost cities become clearer and clearer. Their government and social systems are very messed up, and Sophie only sees the surface of it because she's usually interacting with the nobility, but the reason for both rebellions formed is fixing those exact societal issues.
The good guys and bad guys want a lot of the same things. There's a focus in KOTLC on doing the right thing, not just achieving the right goal. Which sometimes means characters mess that up! (cough keefe sencen cough) But again, all this stuff is explored in a super accessible way, because it's a middle grade series. It feels like reading something deeply interesting with good messages without having to take a lot of time to wrap your head around what those messages are.
The characters are incredibly well-developed. Their backgrounds and history explain most of their personality and actions in amazing ways. I'm thinking specifically of Sophie, Keefe, Tam, Linh, Fitz, and Dex right now, but I'm sure there are more examples (and I hope it gets explored more with Marella in the future, tbh. We know about her childhood--how does that impact her personality?) It makes it very interesting to rotate these elves around in your head.
There are multi-book arcs, many huge reveals are foreshadowed from the beginning. The books open lots and lots of mystery boxes--there are tons of questions being asked ALWAYS--but in the end, they get answered (some more satisfying than others), really portraying just how much can happen even in a short time frame for these kids. Honestly, the whole three-years-over-nine-books thing feels PERFECT to me. Unlike Harry Potter, each book isn't a school year. Unlike Percy Jackson, each book isn't a summer vacation. All of these things happen one after the other, saturating the characters lives, and I think it's very interesting.
The adults have some crazy lore going on. It's pretty fun to try to piece all of that stuff together because Sophie doesn't take a lot of interest in it.
Everything about KOTLC is interesting to me. I'm not going to say there's no issues with it ever (please followers do not come in my ask box and start telling me there are issues with KOTLC idk why it's so controversial to say that Shannon did a really good job with character and plot complexity) but I hugely recommend giving it a read. Let me know if you read it and what you think!

It seems that Vhagar is the only living, breathing creature that still cares about Aemond. His sister is apathetic at the prospect of his death, his mother sold him and his brother to Rhae Rhae knowing that it's was death sentence, he probably will never interact with Daeron, and I'm pretty sure that Alys will work against him. As far as I'm concerned, he should just take the granny and give her the best time of her life, inflict as much damage to the blacks as possible and then die, but not before forcing the morally grey™ Rogue prince to do the same.
And it's crazy, but they managed to get me, once a staunch Alicent supporter, to scroll through anti Alicent Hightower tag and just agree with almost everything. Her character assassination was appalling, not only the book Alicent would never, but ep 1-8 Alicent would never. I wish I could erase this horrendous season from my memory. Idk if you've read what Hess said, but according to her, Alicent in the scene at Dragonstone with Rhaenyra realised that she never really sacrificed anything and that's why she agrees to sacrifice her son(s) for "peace". Also, she claims that the writers' intention was to make the audience believe how everything is finally going to be alright because these two women are friends and will work it though, but then *gasp* we see Aegon leaving in the cart and we realize that the war is still going to happen because Rhaenyra will think that Alicent deceived her!!. She must be proud of herself. I can't believe how vile and deranged these writers and showrunners sound (and maybe even are).
Hello!
I lost count how many times I read these words (or even wrote them myself) in the span of the last week but this show is an absolute mess. And it's not just about the stupidest bias, the quality of the script or the lack of subtlety with which the writers are shoving their views on the characters' relationships down our throats. It's also the fact that every person involved in the creative process has theit own view on what's going on - and sometimes these views are diametrically opposed. Take Olivia saying that in her mind Alicent wanted to spit in Rhaenyra's face when she asked her to give Aegon up but mentioning she doesn't know how the material was edited yet - and the writers going all "Oh, she is liberated now! She is atoning for her sins!" (which sins exactly, by the way?). In what world is this situation okay? The actors are barely hiding their dissatisfaction about the plot - and the writers just keep doing their thing which is talking absolute nonsense. Stellar project, well done, HBO.
I am still in the "don't hate the characters, hate the writers" mindset (and have no plans to change it) - but did the writers do Alicent dirty. They dehumanized Aemond the most - but Alicent drew maximum humiliation card. Self flagellation in front of the woman who is an active threat to her children's (and to her own life)? Selling said children (at least her sons) to said woman? Amazing character development.
And as for Aemond, I have the feeling that Vhagar will be his only friend and ally as well (unless the writers turn their own story on its head and have Alys fall head over hills in love with him or something like that). At least, hopefully, he will have nothing to do with Helaena's death (I am pretty sure they will make it the fault of someone from TG - B&C wasn't made into a joke for nothing after all).
This show has become so draining recently, istg.

Alright The Bad Batch is over and I have some THOUGHTS
Warning: spoilers (kinda) for the finale!
Wow, wow, wow! I watched the bad batch finale a few hours ago and have since been lost in thought about how CRAZY that finale was and what this show has come to mean to me over the past 3 or so years.
First of all, the finale was amazing. My friend and I had to pause multiple times to say WHAT THE HELL! I could not have imagined a better ending to it. The epilogue with older Hunter and Omega especially had me feeling emotional. I’m just so happy they got their happy ending.
And while I am still sad we didn’t see Tech alive again, I knew the ending they got was exactly what Tech sacrificed himself for. And someone pointed this out in a different post, but Tech lives on with his brothers and especially with Omega. She learned so much from him throughout the show and we can see that through her actions and brains. They loved each other so much.
I’m interested to see what may happen with the remaining plot points that didn’t get resolved. What happened with Cody? What about Omega and her force sensitivity? But I’m honestly also fine if we don’t see Omega or the batch again. The ending was just so perfect, and sometimes it’s nice to just leave things as is.
Anyway, I’m really going to miss experiencing the pending excitement of a new episode or season. I hope the fandom remains alive. I know we’ll all eventually move on and get invested into other shows and characters, but I hope the batch remains in our heads and hearts for a long time and we interact in the fandom from time to time.
This show came out at such a monumental point in my life. Finishing high school, beginning college, and a bunch of other crazy stuff happening around and amidst that. I have loved nothing more than interacting with other fans via Instagram, tumblr and ao3. This show reignited a love for writing in me, and I’ve loved being able to write stories for them. I hope to continue to do so. And the friends I’ve made through the fandom are absolutely amazing and I’m so grateful to know them all 🩷
This show was handled with such care and love. Was it perfect? No, but pretty damn close. It taught me a lot about learning and discovering who you are, family, friends, and love. I appreciate the creators and everyone who worked on the bad batch so much for how well they handled the show and its characters.
I know I’m probably blabbering on here. And sure, at the end of the day it is “just a show” I guess, but what’s come from that show for me has become such an important part of my life. I know I will always look back fondly on this show, remembering it was a constant in my life during many changes and new adventures.
To The Bad Batch, from the bottom of my heart, thank you ❤️

I've had a little more time to gather my thoughts after today's events, and while I do still feel sad and upset that this particular chapter has come to an end, I'm still very grateful that it happened.
I'm so grateful to all the good it has brought so many people. Helping many communities around the world unite and be able to talk to each other, breaking down language and cultural barriers just to freak out about their favorite cubitos.
I'm grateful for all the memories we made. The good and the bad. The sad and the happy. The ones where we all laughed at the silly moments and cried in the tragic ones. I'll look back on them very fondly, and I'm so glad to have been a part of the journey for most of the way.
I never thought I'd get back to watching another SMP after the dsmp ended to be honest. I was just kind of there for that server because I joined at the very end and only watched clip compilations and stuff. So when I heard Quackity was launching a server with Spanish and English speakers with some CC's who I already knew previously, I thought, huh. That's a neat concept I guess. I might not stick around for very long, but I'll check it out I think.
So I began to watch Phil's pov and vods, and I'll never forget the first time I saw an egg live- and just how their characters and stories completely captured my heart in a way that I can't even begin to explain. After that, I decided you know, I might have to stick around for a little while longer. And lo and behold, a year later, here we are.
I also admittedly didn't watch every streamer's pov so I'm not knowledgeable in every character's story, but because of you guys here on qsmpblr, I really felt like I was a part of every community when I read everyone's posts, theories, admire art, or fics people would write too.
I've switched povs a lot throughout the year and I just wanna say thank you to the Crows, Doozers, Jaiden fans (I forgot what you guys are called I'm sorry D':) and especially the Ghosties <3 for keeping me company. I genuinely feel so blessed to have interacted with all of you. Thank you for having me.
And yeah Ghosties, because of your streamer, I'm permanently stuck in that bell now so thanks a lot /j XD
To every fan, on tumblr and elsewhere, thanks for keeping this project- the characters and all the memories we made of it- alive in the fanart and fanfiction. You guys all work so hard and are so very talented too!

You stated all my thoughts about White. Up until this point he has no stakes in this story. They better do something with his character quick because there are only three eps left and I could not care less about whether he lives or dies right now. I even want Fluke’s selfish crazy ass to survive more than White at this point.
they just aren't giving us anything about white. as far as we know, he's just boyfriend. he has no ties with non and has done nothing to harm him or the investigation. he just doesn't have many ties to the main story with non. let's be honest. it makes him a little boring and bland. i kinda care about him cause he seems nice. he's innocent. there's nothing wrong with his place in the story and i feel like he does have his seat at the table even if he's not involved with non. he plays detective with phee and tan and he does his best with trying to contact the outside world. we see how fluke is going crazy through how he interacts with white. we get to see tee fleshed out a little through white.
i just don't think it would be satisfying to leave him as final girl. i mean, it's just too cookie cutter to leave the "innocent" one alive. this doesn't really seem like a story that's so rigid in its sense of morality. a lot of the characters we see are very much not black and white. you have phee who cares very much for non, but sleeps with jin and, at least the way i see it, kind of likes him too. he's on his mission to seek the truth about non or kinda get revenge but he gets distracted and veers off course. we have tee who is a major bully and does fucked up things to non which could have landed him in jail and did land him into deep shit with his uncle, but he also ultimately asked for mercy for non and tee is dealing with a lot of shit at home. i mean, he has the health of his dad on his shoulders (if i remember correctly) and his uncle was stepping on his neck threatening him with money or the lack of it. i am a tee hater but when i really think of his situation, i can't help but feel bad for the guy and everything that he's going through. and i love phee, but man was it fucked up to sleep with jin without knowing the full story.
with all of these complex and interesting characters to really dig into and analyze, white just seems bland in comparison and i feel like that's probably the point of his character. i mean, maybe i just haven't caught onto any foreshadowing, but white isn't going to turn out to be some great mastermind or part of the conspiracy with phee and tan in the end. that would feel like such shitty writing. i think this is more or less confirmed by white getting the hallucination of boils on his skin. he's not in on the plan and he didn't use this to throw off suspicion like tan did.
i think he works best as a tragic death. he would work best as collateral in the end. he has done all that he can and that is still not enough sometimes. you can do all the right things but circumstances get you sometimes. that's just what life is.
white is not final girl material. this story ultimately isn't about him, and i think that's what seals his fate. no part of seeing him coming out of the woods bloody and crying would be satisfying as an ending and would honestly create the most basic ass theme. it would make me actually angry if the "innocent" one got out alive. in a show that works so hard at being morally complex, that is such a slap in the face as an ending. it sends the most basic theme of "if you do bad things, bad things happen to you, and if you do good things, good things happen to you." the story would say nothing interesting. it is such a tired theme that doesn't take into acount the cemplexities and nuances of life.
i believe dff will do better than that. i think it will give us a story that leaves all of us speechless and satisfied. white being the final girl will not give us that.
sorry anon that i unloaded all of this on you. i never really got into it in my original post, and i still didn't fully get into it here but this was getting long.

Details, details, details.
Some details about my AU, but it doesn't have a name yet! Yep, it's strongly connected to "Complex MC:SM" and using the concepts I've been posting there.
Enjoy reading it and leave a comment, if you wish!
——
It's a twin Jesse AU, where Male green suspenders Jesse is called Jason and female red clip Jesse called Jessica.
It's contains a lot of shipping and "found family" thingies. Basically every characters we've met in the game is now somehow a part of one, big, crazy family.
There are two main characters: Gabriel, who's gonna interact mostly with older people, and Jason, who's gonna interact mostly with younger people.
Main focus of the story is Command Block. To be exact: Command Blocks, defeating the Wither Storm is not the end of Command Blocks arc.
Some people gonna be less evil, more charisma-smart, examples: Hadrian, Mevia, Romeo, Aiden.
Each character of the game will participate A LOT, no one's gonna be forgotten.
Such people, like: Magnus/Ellegaard, Fred, Vos going to be alive or brought back to life.
Admins are not the Gods, there is someone, who created them. Since the idea of keeping power in Command Blocks didn't work out, Mr. Complex, aka the god, decided to give a bunch of people god-like powers and see, what's gonna happen. Do I need to say it didn't work out either? Mr. Complex, you're doing horrible job here.
Alex and Steve gonna participate in story, as Keepers Of two Command Blocks.
Notch and Hero aka Herobrine will be mentioned as close to Mr. Complex.
There are not one, but many "villians", who are gonna try and destroy our main characters.
Besides Portal Network, there are other whole universes, each represents different Command Block (Jason's universe represents Beige Command Block.), so our characters going to travel there.
The "Mainland", aka everything that is inside Far Lands is NOT the only land there. Funny thing: there are hella lots of others islands, each represents different version of Minecraft. Our Mainland is the version, where Far Lands still existed, but there will be a way out, so they can finally interact with other lands and discover new features.
Lots of references to popular YouTubers, such as Mumbo Jumbo being most known engineer between lands or Technoblade being most dangerous human. They won't participate in the story, but will be mentioned.
Characters gonna have lots and lots of therapy. A LOT of therapy.
Besides Command Blocks arc there will be an End arc. EnderMen and EnderDragon are not the only ones who lives in the End Dimension..
Lots of new races and different features from different mods.
Not gonna lie, someone probably will die without being brought back.
Guess that's all I can say for now! Please, if someone is interested in this thing, comment and my heart gonna explode with appreciation🙏

what do you think of the agents, do you have any ocs for them ?
I do not have agent ocs.
I was talking about this with a friend a while back, but back in the early days of the splatoon oc community it felt like there were a lot more OCs that were just "people living in the splatoon world", who either connected to splatoons story mode in a different way or not at all and were just doing something else in the city of inkopolis. But after Octo expansion it felt like there was this boom of everyone having to have their own 3,4, and 8. Not to say that this is a bad thing at all (the customizable nature of splatoons characters encourages this and there's insanely cool ways people have fleshed out the story modes in fanwork) or that agent ocs didn't exist before then. But if everyone has agents, it's hard to have those agent ocs interact with other people's agent ocs or characters that are connected to them, as the agents are essentially other versions of the same base character. there's only one of each agent in canon. But with characters doing their own thing disconnected from splatoons core story/not filling the role of a canon character, it leaves more room for interaction. But most importantly for me, I like seeing other parts of the splatoon world get fleshed out beyond the craziness of the story modes, and frankly I'm not too invested in many of the canon characters...
splatoon's world is implied to have as much depth as our own. Mundane and boring stuff happens, stuff that's beyond fucked up happens, and everything inbetween. And then theres a bunch of species thrown in and the existence of a food chain and tons of interesting/dubious implications to be drawn from that. What are the adults up to? All kinds of jobs exist. What's going on behind the scenes of turf war? What kind of crime goes on? How about different societies? Cultures of different species? Etc etc I have so many thoughts but that's why I don't have agent OCs, there's so much I wanna see explored in the world that's can be totally disconnected from the new squidbeak splatoon

hi writeblr!! it's nice to meet you!!
I’ve had this blog for years but never posted anything bc to be honest I was a little afraid of tumblr when I first joined, but recently I decided that since I like talking about my wips so much to my friends/family irl, why not blog about them? I also want to find some writing mutuals, since I like hearing about people’s stories just as much as I like telling them about mine. Feel free to interact, follow, message, etc. I love making friends :D
About me <3
I go by Blue or BlueIndigo online, so feel free to use either of those :)
My pronouns are she/her
I’m 19, which also happens to be my favorite number :)
I have five (sort of six?) wips and over a hundred characters. I may have a problem.
I am a BIG swiftie (favorite albums are 1989 TV and TTPD), and I listen to a lot of 5SOS, Olivia Rodrigo, Gracie Abrams, Conan Gray, and The Scarlet Opera. Also the occasional Chappell Roan.
I love reading!! My favorite books are Carrie Soto Is Back by Taylor Jenkins Reid (my fav author) and She Drives Me Crazy by Kelly Quindlen.
I've played ukulele for a few years, and I recently started learning guitar. there's a greater than zero chance I might post any music things in the future. ig we'll see.
I have a thing where my wip titles have to make good acronyms or I don’t use them. idk why either.
I love talking about my wips (and also everything else) to the point of annoyance. (#blueindigo says things for non-wip related stuff <3)
tag games are an ABSOLUTE YES my personal brand of yapping is answering questions lol
I like to write…
Realistic/contemporary fiction
Young adult/new adult
LGBTQ+ characters
Coming of age

Never Have We Ever (NHWE)
Tags: #wip: never have we ever #wip: NHWE
Summary: Liz has the best friends a girl could ask for. Harley, Mikey, and Natasha have been her people since elementary school, and Trevor and Amanda since middle school. Their whole lives, things have been pretty much the same. Same kids in their classes every year. Same streets between the same houses. Same, same, same. At the end of her freshman year of high school, just about when Liz is wondering how much same she could possibly handle, she catches Trevor’s eye as he laughs at someone’s joke, and something deep inside her lights up. Something she doesn’t know what to do with. Something she can't push back down once it comes barreling up to the surface. So much for same. After that, things can’t stop changing. And not just in her own life—her friend group starts pulling apart at the seams. Harley begins withdrawing from everyone with no explanation. Mikey gets in bigger trouble with his dad than ever. Natasha only has a year before she has to move off to college. Amanda is stuck between the person she is and the person the world wants her to be. Trevor seems to have gotten off easy, but Liz can’t be around him for more than a minute without falling head over heels all over again. In this collection of short stories, Liz has to wonder if the change of pace she thought she wanted is worth it. Sometimes it’s hard to be brave, and she’s never been the most open to change, but unfortunately, that does not stop it from happening. The only question is: what is she going to do about it?
Genres: short stories, realistic fiction, young adult, coming of age, contemporary Themes: found family, first crushes, dealing with change, growing up, maintaining friendships Characters: Liz Stanton 🩵, Harley Wilson 💚, Mikey Miller 💛, Natasha Knightley 💜, Trevor Marshall ❤️, Amanda Hamilton 🩷
NHWE is my oldest WIP, started on December 16, 2019. It’s been on ice lately, since the plot has gone through so many changes that I haven’t known what to do with it in a while, but one of my goals with posting about it is to warm myself back up to it. I think writing that summary was a good place to start. Wish me luck :D
The Together List (TTL)
Tags: #wip: the together list #wip: TTL
Summary: Audrey is in her first month of college. Within three weeks, she’s moved out of her childhood bedroom and into a room with a window that seems to open on its own and a door that creaks loud enough to wake up the whole floor, she’s stumbled into a friend group that seemed to pull itself together like drawstrings, and she’s gotten a job at an adorable independent milkshake shop with her roommate and one of her new friends. What more could she possibly ask for? The world, it seems. Audrey has a list ten miles long of all the little things she wants college to be. One night, she starts listing them out loud. Her friends—Logan, Lennon, McKinley, Aspen, and Levi—chime in with their own after a moment, and before anyone knows it it’s been three hours and they haven’t stopped. They aren’t even sure whose idea it is, but they start writing it down. Every box on this ridiculously decorated list will be checked off by the end of the year, they swear. Someone makes an Instagram account as a joke, but by the first post it’s become as serious an endeavor as they’ve ever had. They wouldn’t call themselves local celebrities, but they certainly wouldn’t correct you if you did. The thing about fame at this age, even at small amounts, is that it's bound to go to someone's head...
Genres: realistic fiction, young adult fiction, new adult fiction, coming of age, LGBTQ+ fiction Themes: LGBTQ+, friendships, fame, college, becoming an adult, relationships Characters: Audrey Marshall 💙, Logan Levine 🧡, Lennon Adler 💛, McKinley March 💜, Aspen Brady ❤️, Levi Jackson 💚
TTL was created on August 18, 2021. I saw a post on Pinterest of someone's summer bucket list and that sounded like such a fun thing to do with friends that I had to write about it. Two and a half-ish years later, TTL has also gone through many changes, so I'm sort of trying to refresh it now. I'm very excited to see where it takes me!
(Fun fact: the main character, Audrey, is the older sister of Trevor from NHWE!)
The Violet Sisters Club (TVSC)
Tags: #wip: the violet sisters club #wip: TVSC
Summary: The Violet Sisters Club, a world famous all-female pop rock band, is facing a very public lawsuit from a former hotheaded manager over their most recent album. Following the conclusion of their case, lead singer Naomi Tyler, drummer Inez Wilde, guitarist Chrissy Cameron, and bassist Francesca Sheridan escape to the luxurious Overlook Estate, a privately owned rental property on an island off the southern coast of California. Here, they can spend the summer out of the public eye, writing songs they don’t need to worry about releasing and letting the public wonder what they’re up to as they let the tension out of their muscles. With a property four times the size of Alcatraz Island and a beach over a mile long, the Overlook offers the band a respite from the go, go, go of touring, the privacy invasion of paparazzi, and the exhaustion of being micromanaged every minute of every day. Four pools, seven hot tubs, the aforementioned private beach, a high tech recording studio (just in case), a few golf carts just to get around the property and a Jeep to get to town. It’s unimaginably expensive, it’s incomprehensibly big, and it’s everything they need. But this escape may not be the relaxing California beach paradise they imagined. Soon, it becomes hard to hide how much the stress of fame was eating away at each of them—emotions run high, patiences run thin, days run long, nights run longer, and the strength of the band is questioned as the girls’ insecurities and anxieties bubble to the surface after a lifetime in the spotlight.
Genres: realistic fiction, contemporary fiction, literary fiction Themes: fame, music, romance, found family, secrets, breakups Characters: Naomi Tyler (lead singer, songwriter) 💜, Inez Wilde (drummer, vocalist, songwriter) 🩷, Chrissy Cameron (guitarist, vocalist, songwriter) 💙, Francesca Sheridan (bassist, vocalist, songwriter) 💚
TVSC was created on February 5, 2023, but the characters have been around almost as long as TTL. Initially, I created the Violet Sisters Club as a fictional band that would exist within The Together List, but at some point I couldn't get the idea of a TVSC-focused novel out of my head. I'm glad I never did, because some of my favorite ideas I've ever had have gone into TVSC. If I could have one wish, it would be for all of TVSC's songs to be real so I could listen to them without having to write them first.
Now That We Don’t Talk (NTWDT)
Tags: #wip: now that we don’t talk #wip: NTWDT
Summary: There are two important things to know about Hazel Henry and Saiah Bradford.  One: They kinda-sorta hate each other after they broke up last year at prom. (The same prom that ended with the school almost burning down and Hazel's twin brother's best friend going to the hospital. Bad memories all around.) Two: Someone on the planning committee for their senior class trip must be out to get them, because when they arrive at the hotel, they find out they’ve been assigned to the same room. This should have been impossible; Saiah requested to be paired with her best friend, Tory, who's going to have some explaining to do later, and Hazel would bet her life on the fact that she requested a room alone. Now, for the next two weeks, they’re both stuck in the same narrow room with its little square bathroom and practically-nonexistent privacy. The air conditioner turns on at random times, they seem to be paired together for every single scheduled activity, and perhaps worst of all—their friends all seem to find this situation absolutely hilarious.  But it’s just two weeks, right? It’ll be over before they know it, and soon they can both go back to pretending their relationship—and each other—never existed. Right? Right? Happy senior year to them.
Genres: realistic fiction, young adult fiction, contemporary fiction, LGBTQ+ fiction, romance Themes: reconciliation, romance, friendship, forgiveness, guilt, regrets, family, growing up Characters: Hazel Henry 🩷, Nick Henry 💙, Saiah Bradford 💚, Tory Whitehouse 💛
NTWDT was created on October 18, 2023. Hilariously, I came up with the plot after making Hazel and Saiah in the Sims, and I literally couldn't stop thinking about them whenever I wasn't playing. As I do with every character I create, I became obsessed with them, and now here we are. And in case you're wondering, yes, I named it after the Taylor Swift song lol.
Trouble In Paradise (TIP)
Tags: #wip: trouble in paradise #wip: TIP
Summary: Sixteen years ago, Joe Alexander and Ben King drove across the US in the pursuit of Joe's true love. Today, Joe is preparing to move out of his and his ex-wife's house and drive across the country once more, joined by his daughter, Bryce, and his best friend/his daughter's biological father, Ben. It's all familiar—the long stretches of empty fields, collapsing onto a cheap hotel bed for the night, never being able to decide where to stop for food—and yet, Joe has no idea what he's in for.  This is a story of two cross-country road trips, and the lives that one woman is able to ruin in between. Joe Alexander and Ben King have both lost their entire worlds to Lilly Alexander. But the ones they’ve gained after her might be—in some weird, unconventional way—a little better.
Genres: realistic fiction, contemporary fiction, adult fiction, literary fiction Themes: reconciliation, moving on, guilt, parenting, cheating, manipulation, mental illness, past sexual assault Characters: Joe Alexander, Ben King, Bryce Alexander, Lilly Alexander
TIP is technically my newest WIP, since I came up with the full plot earlier this year (February 13, 2024). I've had the vague idea of it for just over a year, but I didn't quite know what to do with it until recently. It's definitely more mature with its topics than my other wips, as you might be able to tell by the themes, but I really like the concept and I've had a lot of fun plotting it so far, even if it's a little out of my comfort zone.
(Fun fact: the original title way back when the characters didn't even have last names was High Infidelity, after the Taylor Swift song, since I thought it was so thematically appropriate.)
···
OKAY I'm pretty sure I have officially run out of things to say. If you made it all the way here, thank you so much for reading! Like I said earlier, feel free to interact any way you like :D
This post is sort of a masterpost for all my wips, but I'm also doing posts for each wip separately so I can go into more detail. Those are/will be linked in the title for each wip.
Thanks again for reading, and have a good day/night !!

Ted Lasso 3x9 Thoughts
This one might be tied for favorite episode of the season for me. While I’ve been mostly willing to vibe with the jam-packed episodes, I approached 3x9 with a bit of concern; if it felt like the story was getting bigger instead of smaller here in the final third of the season, I was going to start to lose my patience. (To translate: I am an impatient person but I'm also a pretty long-fused person, and me starting to lose my patience would be akin to someone with a short fuse going fucking ham on someone.) Luckily, I felt like each thread here spoke to the other threads really neatly, like watching a cohesive conversation take place in multiple rooms. Magically.
For this one, I'm gonna attempt some bullets that cover 3x9 itself, then I need to attempt to process this weird experience of MISSING TED (while also basically appreciating what he's doing, but missing him, but appreciating him, lawjefpawoijfapweoijafwepklajwef) that has me very :eyesemoji: about the next three weeks of my life.
Nate’s desire for connection and camaraderie didn’t overshadow his ability to recognize that Rupert was trying to manipulate him into a toxic night out! There will be consequences for pulling away, and he knows it, but he did the right thing anyway. I’ve seen some discussions and arguments re: Jade’s influence on Nate and whether we should attribute Nate’s backbone and ability to make better choices to the love of a woman, and whether that’s disappointing and belittling to both characters, but I think a lot of those positions (on either side) are too hard-and-fast. Nate has always valued the things he values, and his relationship with Jade hasn’t changed his values or the fundamental truth of who he is. At the same time, being physically and emotionally close to a person you trust feels really, really good. Why shouldn’t those good feelings have a positive impact on the reserves of strength you must draw on to do things like stand up to an evil asshole you hadn’t entirely let yourself notice is an evil asshole? Nate in all his multitudes has always been Nate; Nate who is in love is able to see himself more clearly. If we were all only allowed in our real lives to experience character growth purely independently, we wouldn’t get very far.
I’ve been thinking a lot about influence and obligation when it comes to Rebecca’s storyline, too. I was a little afraid, after 3x3 and the way she initially responds to Tish’s prophecies, that Rebecca would end up a lone actor, in a sense, tracking down clues and answers at the expense of fostering her actual existing relationships. While I’m still curious and nervous and excited about what all of it means, I really appreciate that Rebecca has shown up for people this season, especially here in the latter half. Rebecca is almost certainly being driven a little crazy by the unfinished parts of what Tish told her, but she isn’t isolating herself. In calling Roy out for his avoidant behaviors and lack of accountability for the press conference (and, of course, the way his work performance mirrors his decision to leave his relationship with Keeley), she demonstrates accountability as a boss and as a friend. I don’t need to see Rebecca conducting meetings or writing emails to know she’s working, but it felt really important to me to see her get upset with Roy, both professionally and personally, and break through his exterior. Ted, Trent, Phoebe, and even Keeley have chipped away at it this season, but the epiphany required Rebecca being Rebecca. And the energy between Rebecca and Roy is very !!!
I loved the way the Nate-Rupert-Jade, Rebecca-Roy, and Roy-Isaac(-Will!) interactions all reinforce the idea that no one has the full picture of what is happening in another person’s brain, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t act on truths as they are revealed, as difficult as it may be.
As a queer person who is thankfully many years removed from the most stressful coming-out experiences I’ve had (although of course there are still plenty of moments of having to explain or identify oneself to another person—it never really ends—I consider myself “out” in that everyone in my life who I care about knowing knows I’m queer, and, so long as general safety is established, I feel able to explain it to additional people in most contexts without much or any stress), I really loved and appreciated Colin’s storyline here. Very little about my identity or place in the world resembles Colins, but so much of this episode resonated. We’ve already seen Colin describe his relationship to his sexual identity to Trent, and within that same conversation he spoke about not wanting to be a spokesperson with the pressure of publicly representing gay men. I absolutely love that the framing of the locker room scene respected those desires; he tells his teammates and coaches he’s gay, but we the public aren’t part of the several seconds that the literal announcement occurs. We get to see the freedom and relief the truth brings him, but the lessons of this episode are for the people around him.
The downside of writing this a couple days after the episode airs means I’ve read a lot of discourse, but I don’t think this episode did a disservice to Isaac or Colin. The writers room in s3 included writers specifically experientially equipped to tell this story, and to me, it shows. It shows in the realism of Isaac’s well-meaning questions (which Colin wouldn’t have answered so graciously if Isaac wasn’t so genuinely curious and caring!), and the tiring ways that queer people are burdened with conversational “obligations” and explanations that are just different than what straight people deal with. Ignorance and awareness exist on an incredibly long spectrum, and for me this story was affirming, not traumatizing, beautiful, and yet it also included the exhausting imperfections that cloak even the most positive coming-out experiences.
I’ve also been thinking a lot about Ted’s speech. Basically ever since Colin said the thing about Grindr in s2, I’ve been certain Colin would come out as gay to the team and reckon with being closeted in the context of the men’s Premier League. And literally since he made that little comment, I’ve been nervous about how Ted would react. I already knew he was a politically progressive person who identified himself as an ally, so I wasn’t afraid he’d have some kind of bigoted rejection reaction. But I did worry that his reaction would be sooooo cringe and try-hard and awkward that I’d legitimately run into issues writing and posting fiction about his obvious latent bisexuality on our home away from home, Archive of Our Own. And while Ted’s seven-layer-dip Denver Broncos analogy WAS cringe and try-hard and off-base, I absolutely loved how unflinchingly imperfect it was and how, despite those imperfections, his instinct re: the point he actually wanted to make was spot on and extremely valuable. If a white, middle-aged, (past-tense-ish hahahahahahaha I’m so normal about the word “was”) straight man who’s worked in sports his whole life had figured out the perfect thing to say, I’d have rolled my eyes at the screen. It felt realistic to me that he desperately wanted to find an analogy or connection point, immediately regretted it, and still—because of who he is when the din of his thoughts gives way actual clarity—managed to articulate that it’s very, very important that Colin’s community actually cares about who Colin is and that he was able to share this information with them. It’s the difference, in many ways, between being doomed to continue to feel like you have two lives (because you’re surrounded every day by people who look past something important to you or pretend not to see the differences) vs. knowing that even if you never come out to the entire world, you aren’t splintering yourself because you’re able to be your whole self around the people who actually matter. Anyway, the speech was imperfect and unwieldy, and that was the point, and his actual message was essential for everyone in that room to hear, and that was the point, and I will be capable of continuing to write fic in which Ted is attracted to men without his reaction to Colin haunting me. (I actually already have an idea for a future fic in which he reflects more, but that’s literally a story for another time.)
At this point in the season, I feel so curious about, um. What is happening. With Ted Lasso. The guy. In both s1 and s2, I felt about a millimeter away from him at all times, even when he wasn’t onscreen. This season, he’s so intentionally obscured. Getting to go to that museum in Amsterdam with him—and, perhaps even more importantly, the Yankee Doodle Burger Barn, and perhaps even more importantly than that, the back of that bus—was a relief and a reconnection point that was much needed, but I am absolutely FASCINATED and MYSTIFIED at this point in time at just how effective and maddening it is that I’m having a lot of trouble understanding how he truly feels about himself and the people around him. Like, I would obviously love to watch him be in love with Rebecca. But I would also love to watch him be in love with a place, or with two places, or with coaching, or with his partially-lost Beard, or with the words and images that have come to him in visions, or even with the unhealthy things that pull at him, like booze and stewing and obsession. Basically every episode—at least for me—contains some glimmer of connection, to his self or to one of his friends, and it’s always fleeting, and I’m holding onto the almost certainty of the fact that the decisions he has to make are going to require some kind of visible reckoning. Most of my nerves about the final three episodes of this show as we know it are related to these questions.
As for this episode, I don’t think I’ve quite captured the FEELINGS I felt while watching it. (I also completely failed to go into Ted sharing his biscuits with Keeley and continuing his perfect streak of making it super weird whenever he shares biscuits with a non-Rebecca person. I LOVED IT.) This was the episode that made me the most audibly squeal-y this season. And the most curious about how Ted has managed to get so far into his own brain that I actually miss him on his own show! Very curious stuff. What are the next three Tuesdays going to do to my brain and heart?

Do you have any descendants headcanons? I’m new to your blog.
ugh like so many….
if u want me to do something about a certain character or relationship just send me another ask but since it’s like a general question i’m gonna take it as an opportunity to talk about the Isle of the Lost because i genuinely spend so much time thinking about what it’s like, i think it’s such a cool setting
it’s actually pretty big, you know, to be able to house all the villains, their supporters and other criminals from all these different kingdoms + it’s big enough that Maleficent can effectively banish someone
i began trying to describe where i think everything is but i realised it would be easier to draw a map, so here’s hoping i’ll actually do it, but the important point here is that there’s a residential area that clusters around the bridge and the dock where the barges come in and then deeper into the island, it’s a dark forest
and on the other side of that forest is where the Evil Queen was banished to
i always thought it was weird that EQ is banished but Cruella is her neighbour, so i hc that Cruella was also banished for a time and that’s why she also lives on that side of the island
she probably tried to saw off Maleficents horns, or pluck her wings or something like that
(but Carlos can move freely because he isn’t included in the banishment)
i think there’s a layer of Isle population that doesn’t lean into villainy, like they weren’t anyone famous or didn’t commit huge crimes, so they just try to stay under the radar and live as well as the conditions allow it, it’s easier and safer to affiliate with a gang but they try not to get too involved
the Isle was not just bare when they started sending criminals over, Auradon built the bridge are, the docks for their barges, a few roads and those two story buildings we see, with the intention that they would be like apartments for the incarcerated
what they didn’t account for was that there would be more people than apartments and that the big villains would take more territory than what was assigned to them
so that’s how we get people who’s beds are behind their stalls at the market, or those who sleep in a row of beds in one room
there’s no set currency on the Isle, it’s barter or contracted labour (but mostly it’s stealing)
when the Isle was first established, the barrier was focused on not letting things out, not so much on not letting things in
so far a while, the barrier would let magic in, but if they tried to cast a spell on someone outside the barrier it would just fizzle out
but doing magic under the barrier was extremely difficult and slow going, felt like trying to run in your sleep
the big magic users were able to transform their residences, which is why, for example, Maleficent’s place is reminiscent of her old keep
they could also summon some smaller objects from their old lives, like EQ’s mirror shard
those who couldn’t do magic, like Cruella, made contracts with the magic users, and they were able to transform an apartment into Hell Hall to the Isle and she was able to bring some of her fur coats over
it was pretty short lived, when Auradon realised what’s been happening, they tightened the barrier to be impenetrable, allowing the absolute minimum of magic in
this minimum is how we get Mal’s glowing eyes, or poisons being able to work
there’s a crazy mixture of accents in that place, since it’s people from all these different kingdoms now forced to live on one island
Isle slang is just a hodgepodge of different languages’ slang and borrowed words
each big faction probably has their own way of speaking, since that’s who they interact with daily, like those who surround the Queen of Hearts and her Cards all speak with a slight british accent and use Wonderland nonsense words

Spring 2024 Anime- What I Finished
Dungeon Meshi
For a manga reader the anime adaption is doing a fantastic job with its pacing and Senshi panty shots. It's definitely became a comfort anime to watch for the past six month so weird not to have Dungeon Meshi Thursdays. BUT upon reflection, the earlier episodes can feel redundant and episodic in nature to people, but I love it. The world building, the cooking, the silly interactions, the crazy camera shots and amazing Trigger animation just made it a fun experience to watch. Season 2 will be even better.
Tumblr media
Train to the End of World
My one of two 10/10 anime this season, and I rarely mention ratings for stuff as is. It's a post-apocalyptic affair after an event called 7G warps the world, changing each town to some wacky version. The show takes place 2 years after the 7G. These 4 girls living in Agano, after seeing a newspaper with a photo of their missing friend Yokano in Ikebukuro take a tarin car on the tracks to go look for their friend after knowing she's alive. What comes is just this wacky adventure and world, where friendships are tested, and we see them all become closer to each other. The animation is insane, and I loved how perfect the music was for this series. I can't wait to rewatch this again and just experience it when I show it to my partner :)
Tumblr media
Re: Monster
A very mediocre iskeai with an OP character who grasps the system very easily to his advantage. The format of days, especially early on are SO annoying and just take you out the story. There is not time enough dedicated to characters outside Ogoura** as he is narrating...*constantly*. As a protagonist, is very confident and he rarely fails, there is no struggle to his story. I have to say it did get cute towards the end and to see him and his harem, along with the mercenary group, working together and happy. Not something I’d choose to watch again but tolerable.
Tumblr media
I was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I can take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability
Reincarnated Isekai are a hit or miss (though I do try to watch as many because it's my favorite genre of manwha) and this definitely was worth sticking out for. There's a ton of sakuga animation and seeing how unhinged Llyod is over learning magic and spell casting makes it worth it. The fanservice IS unnecessary in this show when it just randomly happens or with long running gags like with Slyvia loving Llyod EXCESSIVELY. Overall though, I enjoyed this series and I'm happy I stuck it out even if I'll never rewatch this again lmao.
Tumblr media
Bartender: Glass of God
A very pretty SOL following a hotel trying to hire a Bartender who keeps declining they're offer. You learn a lot about bartenders and here people's life stories. The best thing about this show is the drinks and seeing them poured and made, but also the struggles of people. The music is not much to speak of but the animation is clean and pretty. It's a feel-good anime and definitely a great series to wind down and watch pretty cocktails and drinks be made while enjoying a good cast of characters.
Tumblr media
An Archdemon's Dilemma: How to Love your Elf Bride
The genre of "bad-guy-falling-in-love" will never fail to be entertaining to me. It's just the most wholesome shit on the planet to watch and to see their relationship develop. Will they kiss? Or will there be tons of fake-outs to get the audience excited enough to keep watching to see if it happens... I loved that the finale was just a wholesome ending seeing all the characters interact with each other.
Tumblr media
Windbreaker
A very wholesome, feel-good delinquent anime. We follow Sakura a bi-colored and heterochromia kid who comes to Furin a town known for their delinquents to fight and be the best. What we get, is a heartful story of seeing people accept you, fighting for the sake for others, and friendship. It's so cheesy but in the ear of high stakes shounen anime, this was so refreshing to watch. Cloverwork's also will continue to blow me away because the fight scenes are so dynamic and fluid, along with art style changes in impactful character moments. The cliffhanger ending I think was the best way to hook people for the next season, and just excited to see where it'll lead.
Tumblr media
Astronote
I started watching this series because the art style reminds me of Akiko Higashimura and it did not disappoint. It's a story about Mira, a space princess, who comes to run a boarding house, for the purpose for finding a key to reclaim her right to rule Wid. The show follows the residents at the boarding house along with the deuteragonist Takumi, a chef, who is in love with Mira. It's a wacky, heartfelt and at times, fast paced. The finale we get a little mecha action and just a wholesome wrap up in loose ends of all the characters. Truly a story about found family and good food. Some of my favorite lines:
" I'm going to choose a life that makes me happy."
" Just know I'll always be thinking of you on the other side of the universe."
Tumblr media
Jellyfish Can't Swim in the Night
NGL I totally watched this over Girls Band Cry because it had jellyfish in the title lmao. The anime follows 4 girls to collab together to be JELEE, a music project, and also to confront each of the girls' own struggles and past. Whether it be trying to live up to a mother's standards of being a performer to make her dreams come true, trying to find yourself and finding comfort in idolizing someone, the social anxiety of trying to be yourself as you grow up even when being your online persona is easier, the pressure to be an artist and like you're art. It's also just a really stunning anime to look at and the character designs pop off. The second half got crunched for the plot, which made some interactions half-baked in-between all the girls. But overall, I did enjoy it a lot!
Tumblr media
Tonari no Yokai-san
The single-handed seasonal anime that has made me break down and sob. I was on and off crying the entirety of episode 12 and what an ending. A slice of life series following a community, or a world rather, of youkai, spirits and humans coexisting. Grief is so well explored (and experienced) from the kids to the adults, and the way the conflict at the end has been hinted at, just happens and is so well done. A 10/10 on my list for sure.
Tumblr media
Vampire Dormitory
A love triangle disaster filled with miscommunication tropes where the FL becomes a thrall of a vampire which gives her a purpose in life. She cross-dresses as a guy for her own safety so he doesn’t know she’s a girl who’s actually his destined partner. Someone who Ruka needs to marry in order to inherit the Leader of the Vampires. Honestly the plot of this infuriated me and I considered dropping it, but it's a cheesy dramatic vampire romance so of course I stuck it out. It was a happy ending, even with the cliffhanger and hint of another love triangle if the series continues.
Tumblr media
Tadaima, Okaeri
Best romance of the season. Follows a gay couple in an ABO world, as they rias they're family and interact with the people around them. This show is so precious to me. I think seeing the innocence and honesty kids have and HOW WELL its written in this, was so refreshing. The dynamics and conversations that the adult cast goes through, about moving past one's doubts and loving yourself to ABO problems, somehow just works together. Studio Deen for real be carrying a BL a season for the anime community, which I'm here for.
Tumblr media
Oblivion Battery
MAPPA's seasonal original anime entry, that is about baseball. I'd say it's a fairly well character drama that happens to be about baseball. I loved the internal battles we saw of several of the character's with t the anxieties that come playing and trying to be the best. I think it's cool when insecurities are explored and aren't automatically fixed. I definitely cried the second most to this anime and wished more people had checked it out. The music doesn't always work for me but the animation, as always by MAPPA, was done very well!
Tumblr media
Kaiju no. 8
Probably the quietest hyped shounen entry I've experienced? As a manga reader it's been so fun to see fights and to see it be adapted. The music is a bit grating at times but overall fits the anime very well. The fact they're rumors of Season 2 already being worked on, tells of how much old and new fans alike are enjoying it. The redesign of characters from the manga, however minor, don't bother me and still obviously keep the essence of the characters. Hoshino has been the coolest to see animated and I just love him-character shout out moment. Do I like either OneRepublic or Yungblood song......no.....
Tumblr media
Mysterious Disappearances
Was a dark horse for me. I think what drew me to it, was the art style and music until I got invested in the story. Follows a 20-something writer who works at a bookstore when she wrapped up with her coworker when a youkai in the form of a book takes over her body. What comes to follow is a tale of her adventure with him and his younger sibling. There's tons of explanation of legends and Japanese folklore which is super cool and digestible. It had a predictable plot, but it had a satisfying end.
Tumblr media
Go Go Loser Ranger
Gotta confess, the concept for this series is SO COOL, the Boys but power rangers. We follow Fighter D, who's been used for the past 10/15 years along with his fellow Fighter Monsters to prop up the Rangers, an organization that uses the Monsters to promote their own power and prominence in society. I think he makes for an interesting protagonist, because he's firmly on his own side even when a Boss Monster appears in the latter half of the show. I admire that he doesn't become over-powered but somehow makes it through by his own luck and cunning. The animation and the 3D models killed my soul...but I'll watch another season when it comes out and I plan on reading it so.
Tumblr media
The New Gate
Read the manga. I was so disappointed by this adaptation especially in the last two episodes. They rushed the flood arc, and all the training and backstory you get from it. I think Shin's mischievousness' and silliness gets really played down in the anime. The fight scenes just DON"T hit the same way and.....this is why you don't compare it.....but I had dropped the anime after 4 episodes to pick it back up after having read to chapter 104 and was just...disappointed. Sigh.
Tumblr media
I had a lot of fun with the season and just, am happy that I chose to go through with this and to try and watch new things and just explore animanga. It has helped me have a focus in life, and a desire to analyze media and art.

other anon is right djats show>>>>>>>>> the book. like riley and sam. that's it. period. cause the entire book is just billy lying and downplaying his relationship with daisy so you spend 90% of it thinking he's full of shit and having to read inbetween the lines of what really went down with him and daisy since most of their relationship is allegedly them barely speaking or interacting except on stage. camila also deified to an annoyingly unrealistic degree so thank god we have the show to be like "nah this is what actually happened. daisybilly kissing. daisybilly falling in love. daisybilly sneaking out for lunch dates. daisybilly crossword puzzle love confessions. daisybilly backstage hookups" as far am i'm concerned the show is what really happened and the book was just the story the band wanted to tell 😂
I feel like one of the big issues with book stans / Camila Stans is they read the book and thought that Billy choosing Camila meant that he loved her more when that was never the case. Billy chose stability because of his past. So when you see that on the show it looks like Camila got the raw end of the deal when that’s always what Camila represented they just finally understand that him picking Camila doesn’t mean he loves her more. I mean they spelt it out in the book.“Passion is...it's fire. And fire is great, man. But we're made of water. Water is how we keep living. Water is what we need to survive. My family was my water. I picked water.” I do think Billy convinced himself over time that he did choose to love Camila more but the fact remains that Camila was a choice. That’s what you get from him in the books and in the last episode with Julia but Daisy was never a choice. Daisy was someone he couldn’t help but be drawn to and feel something so deeply for that he risk ruining his hard fought stability for “How could I be around Daisy Jones and not be mesmerized by her? Not fall in love with her. I couldn't. I just couldn't.”
its absolutely wild how book purists are sooo mad about the daisy and camilla hotel scene being taken out of the book/reworked into a different type of conversation, but when I finally decided to go look it up for myself it didn't give me woman supporting woman feminist vibes like people claim. like its not woman destroying woman either it just feels neutral. cami really tells daisy "he will never leave me" and daisy only gets clean because camila is the one to tell her that she should. IDK MAN i think its more powerful in the show where its daisy being self aware enough to tell cami "he will always choose you!" and for daisy to be the one to realize she needs to get clean because this life is really bad for her. not because, 'camila dunne thinks I'm worth saving' LIKE HELLO?? the book seems like it makes cami out to be this perfect angel woman. WHERE'S HER FEMININE RAGE!! HER MAN IS DEEP IN LOVE WITH SOME OTHER WOMAN AND CANT EVEN ADMIT!! i think she deserved to be mad as hell instead of whatever saintlike behavior she exhibits in the book. sorry I just needed someone to listen to my rant about the scene that so many people keep calling Emotional and Powerful when really cami deserved to be mad as hell and daisy deserved to be an active participant in her own life.
It's kinda crazy to me that Camila is the one in the book that basically tells Daisy to leave and quit the band to go to rehab. They don't even interact that much prior to this, and I always hated that part in the book. On 1 hand we know daisy is leaving a toxic situation, but we don't get the feeling that she'll be OK. If anything we feel that she's alone, and because( and this is how it felt to me ) that the band chose Cami over her. Cami is described like this virgin mary can do no wrong character, and her alienating daisy from the band just felt nasty( especially considering the band never had Camis back ). I love that in the show they gave Daisy that power, along with the fact that both Teddy and Simone are still clearly there for her and supportive of her choice( also showing Warren there for her too later on ) Like I don't understand why people wanted them to be friends so bad 😫 it's weird for the wife and the mistress to be friends, especially given how Daisily were in the show...
The ending didn’t work in the books either imo. In the books Camila tells Daisy I know he loves you but he’s never going to leave me. Like girllll you know your man is in love with another woman snd you just okay with that? She was entirely too accepting at least in the show she’s wasn’t okay with and was rightfully hurt & angry but then again Camila as a character was kinda bleh. Every time Billy talked about her I just rolled my eyes because he was overcompensating so hard.
I think the funniest antis are the ones that are clearly Camila Stans that claim DaisyBilly were “ruined” by the show bc they made out. That them having more physicality in their relationship some how changed the nuance. Like you can have a twin flame relationship and also be very attracted to each other. One does not take away from the other. And it’s frankly unbelievable that anyone believes that Daisy & Billy had a connection like they had and NEVER gave in not for one single second. Like please
When I tell you the show ending is so much better. And it’s not even the ending exactly it’s how they get to that ending that’s soooo much better. In the books they handed all of Billy & Daisy’s agency to Camila. In the show it felt like they all had agency and it was sooo much better.
all of u having the most book thoughts compilation

madeline xylophone hatter is such an insanely intriguing and funny character like??
she's the comic relief. she's the fan favorite. she's a main character. she's raven's best friend. she's probably the reason raven didnt go batshit crazy evil. she's the most amazing person ever and will always offer you tea. she has a mouse named earl grey. she has a magic hat. she speaks in riddlish and doesnt make sense to many people. she's incredibly brave and she loves her dad. she can break the laws of reality unless told something's impossible. she can hear and interact with their world's narrator.
and it's just in the sense that maddie is the 'funny' one. the one who goofs around and says strange things that everyone else brushes aside because 'oh that's just maddie', when she's actually one of the smartest characters that there are and the one who arguably knows most about their world and the situation they're in??
maddie casually interacts with the narrator; the person who is narrating their lives, like it's nothing?? she can walk through walls and eat rocks if not told otherwise?? she is incredibly wise and offers excellent advice??
and maddie was the closest to figuring out the fact that they aren't real. imagine raven reacting to that. imagine apple. they would never be able to handle the absolute batshit crazy amount of knowledge that maddie technically has.
maddie knows so much and it's such a brilliant thing that she's not utilizing the plot to her own benefit, because she honestly very well could, but she doesnt because maddie is not someone who is there to change the system like raven, and she is not someone like apple or briar or ashlynn, in the sense that 'oh things must change and i must be the one to do that'.
she leaves that for others such as raven to actually pursue and by god will she actively support raven like hell for it. what she will want to know, however, is what exactly is happening.
this is not to say that maddie is not important or that she's someone who takes a backseat to others. she's quite the opposite really. but i find it interesting just how maddie's influence works.
maddie is not the 'main character' per se. she is not the protagonist of this story and i dont think she'd like an integral part of the; without which it might fall apart, but she is not the one actively doing the main character things and furthering the plot. if anything really, maddie technically does keep things running behind the scenes?? and her ability to communicate with the narrator is no small thing to brush over too.
man, just, madeline hatter as a character.

zhongli kaeya chongyun? — @apologems
word vomit ahead!!
Tumblr media
kaeya: not super invested in him SFJKDSGHSKDJF. he has narrative appeal (dead country + multiple allegiances + betrayal(s) + potential diaspora = multiple identity conflicts carefully hidden behind masks and acts) but I don't really think about him much. he's also complicated enough that i dont feel confident actually stating anything about his character without rereading the tons of supporting material about him (still haven't finished the genshin manga). i think the obsession with his relationship with diluc is rather unfortunate; yes the period of time they were living together was extremely important for both of their stories, but also neither of their lives stopped after the fallout—they can interact with other people, outside of each other?? yeah the fallout would affect their perspectives but i feel like all i ever really see is ragbros or kaeluckae with some rare kaeya and albedo/venti/jean/amber or other people. give the guy some other supports brother. honestly what i'd most like to see is kaeya and traveler that would be v invigorating. back to the actual topic, I think he should go a bit crazy, even if we only get to see that in endgame or something. oh also ive seen enough complaints about how fans portray him that there are 100% too many bad takes of fanon kaeya
Tumblr media
zhongli: honestly there's not much to say about him; I think his canon arc is satisfactory already so i'm like :) zhongli :) my husband... if we saw more archon war snippets that would be cool but generally i'm like chill with how he's been developed. that being said, if people are still making "zhongli is a cruel god" "zhongli was a brute/all brawn no brain" "zhongli is a macho god of war" headcanons: i never want to see you all again lol. do you know what happens in wars? you kill people. zhongli was in a war ≠ zhongli is a bloodthirsty cruel god, even with whatever might've gone down in khaenri'ah
Tumblr media
chongyun: my little guy....... generally i (neurotypical) agree/can see the plausibility of the autism headcanon that's pretty popular (?) but god i NEED him to go insane at some point. I need it viscerally. even the small amount of pushback he exhibited in waterborne poetry was good. more please. i need the chili jokes to die. I need genshin canon itself to stop treating yang imbalance as a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (probably impossible but that's just a daily struggle) i need xingqiu's malicious teasing to be taken fucking seriously by the fandom. I NEED SOMEONE TO TAKE HIM TO INAZUMA AND HAVE HIM TRY THEIR COLD DISHES. i need so much potential character development from him, and most of all I need fandom and canon to stop treating him as a xingqiu attachment. I need the interpretation that he's a polite doormat to die, I need something major to happen to him/traumatize him so we get to see his inner workings, I need the jokes to stop, I generally want the storyline to be more invested in his character. waterborne poetry save me. falls down the stairs and dies.
