Maybe it’s just me but I kinda feel like some people might take my last ateez post as me hating them or something like it could just be me thinking that but because of having to clarify stuff after the thought in the past I just want to say something now cause it’s bugging me. I don’t hate ateez. Like when I said unpack I meant that like ‘there’s a lot going on’ I don’t mean it like ‘oh there’s a lot to unpack here’s this that’s bad’ cause I usually take that word that way when others use it but I don’t use it like that.

Imo their recent songs feel kinda busy? I know The Real has a lot of energy and maybe it’s cause I heard it so often in pieces before I heard the whole song but I don’t like it that much, not as much as I thought I would. Their recent songs may not be my cup of tea entirely but there are parts in the title tracks I like, there are some parts like I said in Guerrilla that I like and in Halazia but it’s not a song rn that I can listen to on repeat. It might grow on me tho it’s happened in the past with Twice’s title tracks I just gotta listen to it more than once to really decide if I like like it or not. They’re good songs tho, very different from what they were doing kinda? And I do love Cyberpunk it’s really cool sounding I always get excited when I hear a song with an odd or unique sound.

The whole “Ghost9 energy” is really just specific to Guerrilla and Halazia. I’m not saying they sound the same or look the same as Ghost9 songs. That’s an entire different story tho that I’m not going to explain for strangers. It’s not necessarily negative?? I don’t think but it was just something that went off for me. But don’t worry about it.

Also cause I feel like mayhaps at least one person is gonna question what I’m talking about, in Guerrilla the styling for Hongjoong’s hair is exactly the same as all the members of Beatwin in the Stalker mv, you could also call it the Cruella De’Vile look but that’s what popped in my head when I saw him for the first time. That’s it. I don’t hate ateez so I don’t want anyone to twist what I said or get confused about my word choice and think I am talkin shit about them.

Just wanted to gush about how much I love S2 Wille. S1 Wille is a wonderful inception of his layered characterisation throughout the story, but S2 Wille is just so beautifully expanded that it is truly a delight to watch his journey as the Main Character. His grief is not downplayed in order to expand the narrative, but it is also not used as an excuse to push him further down an almost-addicting downward spiral of messier decisions. He learns from his mistakes and tries to be a better version of himself because of his overbearing grief. His love for Simon goes through tumultuous stages in a short span of time, but he never loses sight of the spark that he felt for Simon since the beginning, so real and so telling of his young heart. His relationship with his position goes from a very one-sided burden to something that he willingly chooses to carry on his own terms. His rage and anger towards August in S1 was given a chance to seethe, to burn August with its vitriol but not to the extent that Wille gets burned in the fire as well. He messes up with Felice, he messes up with Simon, but he also tries to be accountable for his actions without being too self-aware or too ignorant. S1 had it all in him, but he was just a boy trying to keep himself afloat after everything earth-shattering happened to him. S1 Wille is a beautiful kaleidoscope of grief and melancholy, but S2 Wille is a hopeful continuation with all its messy highs and lows, and how you just have to treat your protagonist with utmost grace and explore all their potential in order to make them and the story have substance and longevity. Ugh I just love this boy so much.

Nene in a collar! I'd love to see such a thing. We get to see Amane in collars repeatedly, which is fun, but I'd love to see Nene in something so girly-girl, lacy, ribbony. It'd look so nice in Aida's style haha, I wish I could see it-!! And what outfit would go with such a thing...

WRT the choice to wear it... Hm! I could see her admiring such a thing... Like looking at images on her phone, feeling forlorn, sigh, oh imagine... >< To be 'that sort' of girl who could pull it off... Self-consciousness I think would make her struggle to commit to a purchase though! Like... it'd feel silly to do it on her own... What, or who, is it for? Just alone in her room? And then, it's too bold to ear out in public, errr, can't have her parents seeing her walk out the house like that? (Even if it's not like she'd be shamed, kind of, embarrassing-!?)

I think the greatest fantasy would be if it were a gift from a boy... So she would be wearing it FOR him, as a FAVOR, a GIFT of being pretty girl in collar... Unfortunately that's almost asking too much out of such a normal guy like Amane, somehow I don't think he's so fashionable and able to visualize such a thing on his own kfkfhf... If thinkos collar, probably would be thinking simpler, black band.

It's the sort of thing I'd either imagine Nene-chan having to incept (make it... somehow seem like... his idea...) or be bold and propose like, Do you want me to wear this... <- dangerous, Amane sucks, even if he's really into it he might, say something, rude or, maybe not say anything at all...

But it's interesting whether or not it's canon ghost boy or, an alive boy, hm! Hanako-kun is more... overtly gnasty... If they were already 'established' in some sense (fooling, even if pre-confessions/dating) ; he could be shown such a thing and be like ugh dirty girl... whaaaaaaat~? You want me to put a collar on you... lol, is THAT what you're into?? Yashiro... (Shitty tone but domineering at least, like make her feel small BUT... turned on.) Like tears in her eyes, face red, but, I think he could smooth it over, hold her jaw and croon and be like, awww, if that's what you want... Condescension. You have Nene-chan boiling as she buys it later at home [face buried in pillow!!] but I think the reward is well worth it. He will [clumsily...] cinch it around her neck. However I'm really amused by the alternate timeline, of. Nene running a longcon with alive boy, non-supernatural Amane. Take him to a, store, go shopping with him, look at thingsss... and then just PASS BY such accessories and, glance at them but, you know not, say anything. And maybe watch as he stares at it like "..." but says nothing. JUST LET IT INCUBATE... in this case it'd literally be helpful to have Tsukasa there to be like WHAT ABOUT THESE? Oh... LIKE A KITTY CAT, WOW.... ^^ WOULD NENE-CHAN LIKE THAT? [Amane scruffs Tsukasa] [angry... grr... WHY YOU THINKING ABOUT HER WEARING SUCH THINGS... TSUKASA-!!] [but like hrn,............]

The next phase of this is a very ambiguous amount of time (MONTHS...? A YEAR...?) before it's like cough. Buys you this. One wishes it were more romantic perhaps but I think it's kind of like, sweaty dark aura, guy who is dealing with a fetish, vibes, instead. THAT'S... OKAY-!! Though. It's fine,

Final thoughts is I think in Bakeneko Ryokan, the endgame would be getting Nene-chan a collar, though matchies with him and Tsukasa. The little tassel beneath it and all... stylish. Jingle jingle.

Oml i havent been here in a MINUTE, but i just finish reading Cyberpunk and i definitely have to come and say i LOVED it (as i always do lmfao)

But the fact is almost cried, all the elements of it made it feel like a movie.

I don’t know much of the game (droid??) but where did you get the inspo to make such and amazing fic😞 i really liked how the thing keeping droids from being completely robots was the subconscious, which could be tied in with emotions but that wasn’t the main point.

Also, THE MORSE CODE, loved it oml- but about it, jongho learned morse code because he was a droid, but once he became human he still had that in him, like the memory of how to do morse code. + did the mc install some morse code into the droids before hand?

And to add one last thing, the part of the memory block was a shocker, for a split sec i felt like in inception and you were going to pull a “it was all a dream” which im glad you didnt but the detailsss, like how jongho is just still a cutie and easily gets flustered ugh i could keep on going but, to conclude, you never fail to make amazing fics and i shall continue to read them all

glad to know you liked cyberpunk i will never stop complaining about how much i struggled writing it lmao but the fact that it felt like a movie and almost made you cry means i did a good job hehe

bruh i have literally zero droid knowledge all i know is that well they're machines that work like humans and i literally had zero inspo just the title 'cyberpunk' and i knew cyberpunk had to be a droid/futuristic fic. and bc i have zero knowledge and this is fiction, i just made my own rules (like i always do ahaha)

oh the morse code. i don't remember if i mentioned it in the fic but jongho and reader used to communicate by tapping morse code on the skin before he got turned into a droid (if i didn't mention it, oops). with the droids, tho, they would be able to speak multiple languages/code since well, they're machines. it's installed in their hardware in the chip.

the idea that i had was when the reader was acting cautious around droid jongho but tapping the morse code onto his skin, keeping the msg short and simple like 'no' or 'don't', the droid wouldn't be able to figure out what she meant and why she was doing it. but since jongho the human would remember how this was their little secret communication way and would understand the depth of reader's msg, he would know what to do and act accordingly (reader took a risk here). that's bc jongho has his subconscious, if that makes sense.

AHAHAHA i was this 🤏close to turning cyberpunk into a tragedy or even a sadistic tragedy but ig this worked out better. i do believe subconscious is so imp and that no matter how much humans try to make machines that work and act like humans, they can never replicate the subconscious. and they really shouldn't try 💀

This fic does a really good job of digging into canon trauma that canon just didn't bother to really address. The main characters did end up getting their happy ending in canon but when this was written, it looked very, very much like they weren't going to so this fic became canon for me (I say like I actually watched the show). It created justice and closure for characters that very much looked like they weren't going to get any. (As always, mind the tags. It deals with some very dark topics. There are definitely some triggers in this one. Actual triggers, not just squicks. Anyone that knows Shameless knows how bad Mickey and Mandy's childhood was. That's what we're dealing with.).

10) Standard Deviations - Yuri!!! on Ice

it's the BEST time travel fic i've read! it starts with just viktor and yurio, but throughout the story yuuri, mila, and more all come back and cause enough shenanigans to give yakov a heart attack lmao

it's v lighthearted and makes me laugh more than almost anything else has tbh

(tldr if u don't go here: love interest & angry son go back in time and are eventually joined by the rest of their figure skating pals. they cause enough chaos that their coach faints countless times)

There’s this bit in the comics [KtE # 24] where Franklin D Roosevelt  Spectre in a speech states 

“It is my conviction that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself - nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert defeat into victory.”

Which gets me thinking of my favorite piece of literature coming from the Dune series which is the Bene Gesserit Litany against fear:

"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

The concept of fear to a Guardian would be a complicated feeling as they would be trained on how to overcome fear; to be a Guardian they must be sharp physically, mentally, and emotionally. When your enemies are a whole optimized army, and the pressure builds up, being too afraid to act can be a deadly mistake, and after the loss of Aaron, the Guardian training plays an essential part in a Guardians development and survival skills. 

Yet… even with their extended lives and chaos abilities they are still mortal to a degree which makes fear inevitable. If not fear of the enemy, fear of what the enemy might do to innocent civilians, or even their own loved ones. The growing pains of fearing what Guardianhood would be like, fear of underperforming or not living up to the standards of their ancestors. Even just the fear of living replacing the fear of dying, the fear of culminating meaningful relationships, of making friends, falling in love, knowing they will live to see all their funerals. All inevitable facts of being born with the crescent chest, challenges that they face just by their own existence and role in their society. 

There’s also the lingering effects of unreasonable fears that stem from traumatic past events. There’s no shortage of trauma when it comes to the Brotherhood, I’d even say it’s been a trickle down effect since its inception with Steppenwolf’s own history. I imagine that the Brotherhood has a real love for their own family and are naturally protective of each other, so when Thunderhawk lost his daughter due to ‘illness’ It affected him deeply. So much so he tends to become overprotective and overbearing if someone in the family gets sick, even going as far as keep a night watch, his already anxious nature amplified by the fear of loosing someone like her again.

I cannot talk on the subject of fear without talking about my boy Spectre. The speech that he gave, to me is just telling about his own relationship with fear as a whole. When I think of the last line in the litany of fear “Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.” I can’t help but think of him. Having to grow up with a ‘father’ that was cruel and harsh to him, to being kidnapped and tortured by The Dark Legion, to the perception of how his body looks from what the Legion did to him. Fear is something he is well acquainted with and has far surpassed due to years of mental discipline, as he is now he is a fearless force to be reckoned with. Yet… he is a father, a grandfather, and at one point a husband, so while fear does not control him he’s not void of all emotion. 

While he has a limited range of displaying his emotions; keeping expressions of his fear suppressed as to not give a the enemy the satisfaction of seeing him weak and afraid, there’s a reason he fights so hard and has such a high degree of discipline. To ensure that what happened to him, never happens to him or his family ever again.

76,628. it's kinda insane that i wrote 51k under just six months last year.

3. What fandoms do you write for?

currently only writing for f1, but i've published works for star wars, peaky blinders, the old guard and batman. on another account that has been liquidated many years ago i had footy rpf and teen wolf fics.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

carry each other (hal jordan/bruce wayne), worked the blade (seb/mick), to the finnish line (seb/charles/kimi), spoils of war (seb/mick) and a favour returned (seb/lewis).

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

i do, unless it only says "please write more of this", because i don't have anything polite to reply. but i love getting replies from authors too, so only fair to return the favor. there are definitely times when i just re-read a bunch of comments and they can really help to lift my mood or feel better about my writing.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

lmao that would be the prince au break up sex fic, someday to say out loud. making george ask alex to tell him he loves him even if it isn't true and ensuring that he can't and won't believe him... partly why it's hard for me to go back to writing prince au is because it was very easy for me to project my unmedicated depression onto george, and (thank god) i'm not in that place anymore.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

mmhh my star wars fic maybe? i'm not overly fond of happy endings, the best i deal out is a hopeful but kinda open ending. out of my f1 fic it's a favour returned, i guess -- there's some talk about longer term commitment and trying and failing to say that they like like each other, or consolation prize, where mick admits twice that he's been thinking about seb.

not in the classical sense i guess or not that i've seen.

boy do i. i mostly write smut and use it as a catalyst to nudge a relationship to another level. i don't really get the what kind? question. what kinds are there? wholegrain?

haven't written one yet, but i've been toying with the idea of an f1 and the expendables crossover.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

if i had a nickel for every time someone pulled entire lines from a fic of mine and barely paraphrased them, i would have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.

on my old ao3 account, yes! i haven't been approached on the new one and i don't think i'd give permission now.

all time? propably stiles/derek or eames/arthur from inception. also it was sterek that first got me to tumblr, back in like 2012 or something.

ugh right now it feels like i'll never finish anything again. but i have a long star wars wip that's like 75% done but i haven't touched for three years. there's a roc sebmick fic i started and i actually know how it should go from start to finish, but i've been struggling with writing this year, so, i don't know.

i've been told the internal struggle/tension that narrator is facing is pretty tight and i do agree :) i also think the porn i write is nicely physical and pretty hot.

longfic. like. i wish i could do it -- i had a 54k wip on my old ao3 account -- but i don't have the energy or the commitment. this is also why i struggle with WTB and SOW -- i want to write more to both but i feel like they are snappy and valuable as they are and i'm worried i'll ruin that if i add more.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

english isn't my first langauge so all dialogue is in another language in fic for me. i'm not super fond of adding another language on top pf that.

spoils of war or prince au. prince au has probably the most of me and gabby is incredible and one of the best writers and kindest persons i know and i feel incredibly fortunate to have created something with her. spoils of war was a challenge on a lot of fronts but i'm proud of the storyline and it has some of the best lines i have ever written i think. and it got @antimonyandthyme and me very close :))
