okay completely based on @captain-rickbond amazing modern Caphrey drawings:

My brain ran with an Ghosts tattoo shop au and though it's Caphrey bffs of course my brain made it Capvers (no one saw that coming I'm sure😉):

-Robin: tattoo artist style old school has one big lightning tattoo over his whole body nothing else. Does also do stick n poke.

-Humphrey: tattoo artist traditional and neo traditional does classic paintings on the side that he sells ,covered in tattoos himself (based on cap rickbonds drawings)

-Kitty tattoo artist. Style: fineline, floral work, dot work , watercolour and cartoon style

-Mary tattoo artist style: black work specialised in tattoos that look like old book illustrations and sketch style, loves doing witchy tattoos

-Allison tattoo artist photorealism style I. Colour and black and grey

-Cap: store manager

-Thomas: that one customer who gets turned away frequently because he wants face, neck or hand tattoos as his first tattoo

-Julian customer three tattoos one heart with Margot one with Rachel and some pun/innuendo very close if not directly on his gentleman's excuse me. Robin did all of his tattoos

-Fanny: friend of cap does like Humphreys paintings and comes by when she wants to chat, gossip or ask Humphrey to do a portrait of one of her pets (on canvas obviously)

-Pat: customer. friends with all of them no tattoos over shirt lines because he works in a bank. His tattoos are mainly humourous about stuff he loves in cartoon style kitty is his main artist.

-Obi the shop apprentice focuses on graphic style (tattoos that look like graphic design) and / or trash polka

The story:

Cap has few tattoos from different artists. Fineline flowers from kitty and a date that holds great importance to him done by Humphrey, a morsecode tattoo on his chest etc. his tattoos are not visible to others normally. They are small and personal.

Robin has a certificate in how to tattoo scars and made all of his artists learn as well

Havers just moved there and wants to symbolise a new start in life with something beautiful coming out of the scars of the past (upper body/arm scars not the face ones)

He walks in for a consultation and is a bit nervous because first it has to be determined what can be done, if the scars can be integrated and if the goal is to fade them optically or use them to enhance the picture.

It's a busy day and stuff has gone wrong so there's a waiting period and cap gives him tea and they get talking and find out they're both ex military and he's relaxed and smiling by the time robin comes to collect him

During the consultation Havers let's it shine through that he's not exactly sure what he wants style wise so robin who's very old school in wanting to challenge his artists calls them one by one to look at him and asks them to design something that symbolises his wish of a new start

He even calls cap in to ask something about if they still have a specific needle type. Cap sees Havers shirtless and gets extremely flustered. And everyone's like "??" Because normally cap runs the shop like a well oiled machinery but now he can't remember if they have that needle size

Havers returns the week after to look at the designs and the main themes are phoenixes or flowers (a lot of dandelions and lotuses)And cap can see (because he keeps looking🤭) that Havers is a bit overwhelmed with choosing so he brings them all tea and starts chatting with him and it quickly turns out what he really loves from which design so cap suggests they do a collab piece on Havers. And everyone whose in the design gets really excited and of course it means that Havers has to come back for another consultation. By that point the others have caught on that cap is talking to and mentioning that one customer a bit often.

Havers returns the next week and for some reason he got the appointment wrong and is almost an hour early (oh dear) and so that very handsome store manager who is bored on this very slow day takes it upon himself to drink tea with him and chat telling him that he loves the meaning behind his tattoo and that he's in good hands and it'll look awesome on him and he shows him his own tats which makes kitty run to the others and whisper because normally no one gets to see caps tats.

The design is wonderful and Havers loves it but because of size and difficult level aka sitting through the extra spicy pain it's gonna be done in numerous small sessions. And every time cap and him find time to talk to each other or shooting glances at each other.

His colleagues try to get Cap to ask Havers out before it's too late but cap is like that's unprofessional and the guy is here to get a tattoo not be hit on by staff.

With the sessions and the healing process it takes months before the tat is finished and it's very clear to everyone else around them that the attraction between the two is very much mutual

And on the last appointment cap wants to ask him out before he possibly never sees him again but everything goes wrong because Thomas demands that this new poem of his has to go on his neck and Robin argues with him and Julian Fawcett turns up drunk for his appointment and Alison has morning sickness and so cap who waited anxiously for Havers to come pay and say bye had to do the payment real quick and wants to say bye and ask him but then Julian smashes a vase from the counter because he got in on the argument between Thomas and Robin and Havers at one point slips out sad that he didn't got to talk to Cap one last time.

Cap is feeling a bit down over the next weeks and everyone is trying to cheer him up.

A few weeks later Havers is suddenly there again because he lost some lines during healing and Cap wasn't even aware that there was an appointment but Humphrey is like oops forgot to tell you.

The actual appointment is over suspiciously fast. (Aka Humphrey met Havers somewhere accidentally and used to meddle)

And then it's time to say goodbye and Cap can't get the words out and Anthony looks very anxious and he's almost at the door but cap calls out to him, Havers whipping around and cap is like I eh oh well I meant to say...we'll be having a flash day on the third if you're interested.

And something about calling him back just gives Anthony the kick he needed and he informs him that he doesn't think he's the type just yet to get random tats because he's more after meaning. New beginning specifically at the moment which also means new people in his life and there's one person he really likes and wants to get to know even better and then he asks Cap out.

Over the next two years the teasing sentence "cap stop flirting with your boyfriend we're about to open" can be heard almost every day in the shop at which point Havers leans over the counter to collect his daily goodbye kiss before leaving for work.

Havers design btw I'm thinking a phoenix made out of flowers like a flower bomb gone off all over his flank and pieces on his chest and upper arm like flames out of flowers everywhere around the actual bird where there is scarring.

During those two years Havers gets a tattoo of the date of his first appointment underneath the phoenix.

And after that the only clearly visible tattoo Cap has that is done as a collab and on two people who don't have many tattoos (the absolute exception Robin makes which drives Thomas insane) are the wedding ring tattoos for Cap and Havers.

a nervous touchy animal who'll just run away if he is being yelled at or insulted too hard (being yelled at by allies and superiors feels much worse for guy than any loud noise or gunfire. poor thing) And even breaks windows to jump away from any height and floor. He really doesn't care and ABSOLUTELY ain't afraid of height. Luckily manages to survive. Fucking gymnast-acrobat. But how annoying he is. TO WORK WITH. You just stand close. sneeze at him not gently enough and HE DISAPPEARS. He gets along with colleagues pretty well... Well, by my AAHW metrics. He isn't popular or favorite, but he gets along with others pretty well and nobody avoids him. He is seen as very non-threating and weak. Or cute. However they call it. He is also pretty tactile (may occasionally try to hold hands or hug someone) and gentle in general, friendly fella. Gets along with mags pretty well and tried to comfort one when saw first time. Extremely good at chasing. Somehow manages to bounce around busy roadways and not become a pancake in the road, getting in windows, getting out, survive and not die on missions. Can do tricks on bicycles cooler than many bikers on motorcycles and usually steals any transport of that kind (but gentle enough to put it back after using). Very expercienced as someone who is being chased. Flee just runs out of AAHW casually without even any plan if triggered, breaks any shit on his way on impulse. And then gets back because Flee doesn't really know how he would survive, doesn't have a plan, and really don't want to leave job. Or, well, gets captured by agents and not even getting so far. His hair was torn out by other soldat who tried to capture him at first attempt to run away, but got kicked (Dan). They're becoming bffs later. Why he got such a weird reaction? Well. In my au every atp gets +- unique programs and modifications which makes them extremely mentally ill useful in different ways lol. ATPs gets their brain messed up and minmaxed in worst and unnatural ways, that's why many scared of it. Amnesia also isn't a good part. Flee was created in AAHW, and his modification ruined his fear-response, too much training created steel reflexes like unavoidable instincts, and messed ability to recognize threats. Guy is very fearless about combats, heights, insane tricks, absolutely doesn't care about risks of breaking any bone or dying (still will do a lot so colleagues won't), but will shit himself from fear and overwhelm if you just say smth mean to him loudly. If it would be done by few grunts he will get nightmares and flashbacks even. Because his sense of being punished and shame is also messed up. For the good of AAHW, of course. At first he was threatened and insulted a lot for this defect, because everyone was confused, then he was used on a trainings because damn he's like a cockroach. And then he was given a little safe place to run in it and not just out of aahw on the streets. aka personal space lmao, until they find out to fix it. But many coworkers find doing little pranks and scaring him funnier because the reaction is just too funny with all that jumping on highest surface in room, or running on all walls and then comedically hit head and FALL. Aaand he doesn't beat them up for it, he just runs as first reaction. Can even bump right into the agent who did it, like an NPC trying to run in a wall, pushing the poor guy like a fucking box in a videogame. Extremely funny idiot. So yeah he gets a lot of occasional jokes for not being aggressive enough. Not to coworkers. :D

It was like Arthur was learning little things about Merlin that he started to love. 2- the things that he learn (and what I remember) was: Merlin's body hair grows really fast and he said that Gaius believe it was an outlet for his magic, they're traveling and M forgot his blade (the thingy that shaves beard) and he has this beautiful beard and long wavy hair by the end of the week, when they come back A is occupied with stuff and didn't saw M all day, but at the end he's back with short hair again saying that Gwen and George helped him with his chores so he could get a hair cut and shave; also A talks about how he recently learn that dyes are expensive and wants to know how M have such a colourful wardrobe and he says he only have two tunics because his mom helped a merchant out once and he gave her two pieces of fabric with she made the tunics and his neckerchiefs; Merlin knows how to write beautifully, calligraphy and all, M gets sick in this part and they communicate via little notes send it via George who told A that he was hesitaning into giving him M's note on the beginning because he thought it was improper, A keeps one that says "I believe in you" because he needs it emotionally; Merlin can compose music and he did compose and wrote an entire play (or just one song, I don't remember much), he dedicated one song to Arthur. 3- Arthur makes an announcement talking about love and union, looking directly at Merlin, hoping that he would understand that it was more or less about his feelings for him. 4- the song dedicated to Arthur it was about a Knight falling in love with his servant (and I believe running away with him, but don't quote me on that) 5- Arthur believes that the song is about Lance and Merlin's relationship, since is about a knight and not a King, and decided to go after him thinking his heart belongs to another. 6- Merlin confess that he wrote the song dedicated to him and ask what he thought about it, but Arthur is still under the wrong assumption and says that he liked the "song about the boat" better. 7- Merlin is devastated and I remember Arthur seeing him with Lancelot, with him giving him comfort 8- I don't remember how, but they confess to one another and have a little fight over the song part. And this is all I remember, I'm sorry if is really big or even impossible, but I'm desperate.

As a fan of both the CBS and the BBC version, I'd like to spend a moment and appreciate both of them and talk about some things that I like, enjoy and appreciate about each version and some things that I think one version does better than the other without trying to bring the other down💚

- One thing I appreciate about the BBC version is the non-romantic relationship between the ghosts. As an aroace, it always bugged me how the CBS ghosts fell in love so quickly and it just seemed...forced. Isaac and Nigel have to be the only CBS couple that actually feels like a couple while the rest are just...there. Thor and Flower, sure, maybe I can understand this one too but Trevor and Hetty and Pete and Alberta (not a couple but Pete has a crush on her) are just dumb and pointless. On the other hand, you can feel the platonical relationship between the BBC ghosts -not saying that the CBS ghosts aren't good friends, but the BBC ghosts feel like they've spent an eternity with one another. The BBC ghosts work better as a group while the CBS ghosts work better as individuals

- I really like Jay's relationship with the ghosts. Where Mike is "oh ghosts", Jay is "oh ghosts☺️". Calling them "invisible friends", asking if Hetty's okay after she left his body, proposing that Sam should help Thor with his nightmares. He's literally Pete's bff! Wanting to play D&D with him, both of them making references to things they both enjoy. I mean, Jay's first instinct when he thought he could see ghosts was to hug Pete

- I actually don't have an issue with the CBS version revealing the ghosts' death soon. I mean, it's not even soon. It made sense that Flower would be the first ghost in the first minutes to reveal her death because she's Flower. Even in the BBC version, from the first episodes we can get an idea on how Julian died because of the no pants and and how Fanny died from screaming when falling from the window. Season 3 hasn't come out and we still don't know how Hetty or Sass died -we know that Sass died the day he was going to tell his first story but we don't know how. As for Hetty, I'm thinking it might have to do with overdose given the amount of drugs she took that she didn't know we're harming her. The mystery aspect of their deaths in the UK version ties with the more "haunting" atmosphere of the show whereas the US one is "sunnier", which isn't a bad thing at all! Alberta's death was a mystery and the reveal with Hetty knowing the truth all along was gasp worthy

- It bugs me when people say that the US version is a copy of the UK one because, a)that's... that's what an adaptation is. The Office is an adaptation of the UK office but no one really cares? B) Aside from Pat/Pete's storyline, I can't see any other similar subplots other than their "main" aspect. Hetty and Fanny are the conservative ladies of the house, Sass and Thomas are the artists, Flower and Kitty have bubbly personalities, Robin and Thor are the oldest ghosts who speak broken English. Sure, Trevor and Julian both died without their pants on but both are pretty distinct from each other. Isaac and the Captain are the closeted soldiers but both of their storylines take different paths. All of the characters are different, with different personalities, interests etc. If the US version had carbon copy characters of the UK one, people would, justifiably, call it a copy but even now where the characters are very different they're still calling it one. They compliment and parallel each other without being the same

- The BBC version follows a more "creepy" tone, if that's the correct way of saying it, with a haunted atmosphere and that's cool. The CBS version follows a more sitcom-y tone with a more cheering atmosphere and that's also cool! No need saying one's superior than the other

- I think Crash was kinda pointless? They wanted to make a Humphrey but it didn't really work. He's not even a ghost that's there, unlike Humphrey who had a role and contributed to the story

Back again with my Wandee Goodday weekly rambling! I will say that, while I'm still adoring it, the editing is starting to feel weird? Like, I know there's not a cut and an uncut version but sometimes it feels like it.

But! I'm also the kind of person who can nitpick something I love to death, so I'm not going to do that because I'm trying to ~ac-cen-tchu-ate the positive as Mr Mercer wrote. And, like, I'm just here to see two beautiful idiots fall in love XD Anyway! Here we go:

Why is it always the jenmish fans who laugh when Jared can't make a con? With the Europe cons Jared is going to a different one which was already fully booked and some fans now can't meet him and some people who are fans of jenmish are laughing and its like... that would never happen the other way around (maybe there's a few people that would laugh if jenmish cancelled) but like where's the empathy? Someone can't meet their hero and have wasted time and money on a con. They're so insensitive.

I can think of a couple overlapping underlying factors.

While they are by no means the only faction in this fandom guilty of trying to turn everything into a competition? They are definitely some of the worst about it. Furthermore, some of them are still desperately trying to delude themselves into believing there will be a revival of SPN that will be the D/C show with little to no Jared because [pick one: everybody hates Jared now/Sam is irrelevant to the Real Story].

So Jared not going to any specific con? They're not going to have any empathy for disappointed fans, because most fans disappointed at missing Jared are going to be "the enemy" who they'll be happy to see disappointed. Everything is a competition and Jared/Sam not being there is them "winning". Especially as they can pretend this one specific instance of Jared not being there is somehow a ~*very significant*~ signpost about the revival. Especially as they can convince themselves that if Jared isn't there, surely this time if they just figure out how to ask a question the right way Jensen will finally tell them how he REALLY feels about D/C. Especially as it's a lot easier for them to pretend Jensen and Misha are totes BFFs and every time they make eye contact is ~*twue lurve*~ when Jared isn't there for comparison.

Virburu can be quite affectionate most days but there are days where she wants her space for sure. She understands others can feel this way too and while she tries to respect their wishes she will poke around to make sure they're okay.

How it would start ultimately depends on certain variables however as a BFF she does care about you and she'll express that through words, actions, gifts. She'll also listen to rants or just anything and offer advice where she can. She's also chill to hang out in total silence. She can be a yapper but due to colleges in the past saying she was annoying she doesn't do it as often. All in all she will be there for you, and be your ride or die, unless what you're gonna fo is gonna hurt you 🤣

• C - Cuddles (Do they like cuddles? How do they cuddle?)

Only her SO's, but if you're a good friend and you ask she'll make an exception.

• D - Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

I mean she's married to 2 people and going along with canon they'd be living on Pabu, so it's not a matter of if since they've already settled down. She can cook either from a recipe or by winging it, it's certainly not grade A stuff but it's good enough. With cleaning...she can get a little lazy with it. Not to absurd extremes though.

• E - Ending (If they had to break up, how would they do it?)

Oh God she'd never dream of breaking it with her wife and husband but if she had to...there'd be a lot of tears on her end but she'd be very polite about it and consoling while she's like "I'm sorry things didn't work out between us...we can still be friends?" and even though she mentions still being friends it never happens cause it's too awkward for her afterwards.

• F - Fiancee (How do they feel about commitment? How quick do they want to get married?)

Again she's married to 2 people so I'd say she's pretty committed.

Kitterine: She was mentally ready to marry her after the 3rd date but they were in no position to do so being so young (early 20's).

Tech: They certainly paced themselves but she was mentally read funnily enough aslo after the 3rd date.

Mmmm mainly yes however if it calls for it she won't be. As for emotional, she tries to be gentle but sometimes it might not sound like it and for that she feels terrible about.

She likes receiving them but she loves giving them more. She makes them those tight, snug hugs with a little wiggle.

Kitterine: It took Virburu a while to build the courage to say it but she said it first. She was nervous 😅

Tech: She was the first to say it before they were dating because she couldn't keep her feelings hidden anymore.

Yes 👀, it depends on the situation of how jealous but she'd just act a little more possessive and clingy.

Her kisses are normally like a soft press there's no harshness behind it. She likes to give her SOs face and tummy kisses. She herself has no preference of spot but she is a bit ticklish so be warned.

She's like the cool wine aunt to kids "related" to her and she showers them with adoration and love. She can't have kids with humans cause their DNA is too different to mix so she makes due.

If she's comfortable with you and you do much as give her a chance she will info dump any and all information about herself because that's how she makes friends.

If there's a certain situation she tries her best to stay nice but even she has her limits. She'd feel bad about snapping later and go to apologize.

It depends, sometimes she remembers perfectly, other times something is missing.

If ever asked she'd always say "Meeting them" or "Everyday with them is my favorite". It gets a little old and repetitive perhaps but it's the truth.

She will protect her loved ones with her life. She doesn't exactly expect others to protect her, she knows they will and in whatever way is appreciated but if they get seriously hurt because of it she's gonna feel so upset and like it was her fault.

She tries to find the perfect gifts for her loved ones. Gift giving is her love language and she will settle for nothing less than perfect and individual to them.

Besides being a little lazy with cleaning and being nosey where it's not currently wanted she goes into these animalistic states during high fear situations in regards to loved ones. Sometimes those instincts work out great, sometimes they get in the way. She wishes it wouldn't happen but it exists and it's hard for her to come to terms with.

She managed to get the attention of 2 HOT people by looking (in her opinion) average. As long as they love her for being herself then no, not a whole lot of vanity.

Oh absolutely, in a worse timeline where both Kitterine and Tech are dead she suffers from so much guilt and depression. Saying things like "It should've been me" but she keeps going on for them as much as she'd rather be with them.

She doesn't like using blasters and such. She prefers spears and such.

ok so roderick is def gonna make sure that ~roderick has the best of everything like!!!! this is def a given lakjdsfkljdf but he also knows that rewarding his most faithful servants is a good idea, so that's def a thing, but he ~also knows he doesn't ever wanna invite anyone getting too big for their britches and tryna grab smth out from under him/his fam, and (atm anyway!) even ~he knows he can't hold the whole world by himself wo v powerful allies to back him up. he also believes that family is the thing he can trust most, w those related most closely being worthy of more trust than those ~less related etc!

this must also be balanced w due respect etc towards the crown and such!!

so! when roderick's handing out goodies to the playable characters, what's the priority? ive got some kinda ~tiers, and within these tiers, he tries to keep things pr even, but in a longterm kind of scale/w a sense of ~earning things getting you more etc. so, if you really exert yourself for roderick you'll get rewarded for it!

for example: uncles of heirs is a tier and, if godfrey really acquits himself well and gets smth big out of it, roderick will then put an uncle of arthur's or guin's in a position where he can really acquit himself and thus potentially earn as much as godfrey did! if he doesn't, that's on him, bc roderick gave him equal opportunity! that kind of thing ;D

RODERICK'S TIERS

empress -- now...the empress is dead! buT she just can't stop winning! and dead or alive, she's still the richest woman in the varmont empire! one of the big things roderick likes to do, right, is play his wives off against e/o by making ~them compete to be his next empress like he does w his heir, its unlikely this award will ever be given, but he's ensured this pot is pr large so the prize is def worth having! and boy is it! the empress, alone, is free to rule over her own holdings like any male lord might! i know, jaw-dropper! now, atm, these holdings are in trust and probs stewarded by either alaric or bart (or perhaps even working together bc it is...a lot and they're both busy, as is!), w that regent splitting the revenues w roderick and w guin, as heirs to the late empress, but all to be reworked, should a new empress ever be named. the empress, as part of roderick's winnings, is always awarded a new holding in every single nation. roderick feels it would be a slight against his own glory, were his empress not to be the second most powerful person in the world and the .richest woman alive!....and she is! well, rich..not...alive... ;D anyway ngl this is also a way of helping assuage his guilt over her death, so that's fun too!

alaric -- sorry to roderick's many (living) wives and children, alaric's in a league of his own!! he's the man who has believed in roderick longest, had his back throughout it all, his most trusted compatriot and warrior and bff! after roderick himself, alaric gets the best of everything! roderick knows alaric can and will hold it, and enrich himself and the empire w whatever he gets bc he's proved it! AND he knows that alaric will do all that w roderick's best interests at heart, too! alaric, alone, out of all the tiers can count on getting a new holding in every single country, regardless of how he acquits himself atp! his loyalty is proven!

ot3: succession -- those heirs out here to scooooore!!! they're gonna get the next best stuff!!!! this is their training-to-rule opportunity, really, so use it wisely bc duly pleasing roderick is as close to that as youre ever gonna get!! nd roderick really ~does actually want them to have a holding in every single country but they're now at the age where they have to earn it!! he will be embarrassed if they fail to do this and they will have to suffer the consequences! now, the boys are most likely gonna earn this through conquest: guin will have to do it by negotiating extraordinary trade deals and diplomatic affairs and strategic marriages and such, both within the empire and outside of it. t he boys can do this as well but they MUST do the other as well and guin CANNOT.

queens: that's right, ladies! sleeping w roderick has its privileges, and you get to hold land in ur own name! obv you don't get to do much ~w that or abt it w/o permissions etc, but you get the revenues from it and that prestige too! also a lot of their households will probs be ppl'd by ppl from their various holdings (aka implied allies) etc!! and they can do more or less as they like, so long as they meet w their council of (male!) advisors before doing anything too big, the heads of which are their respective firstborn sons. alaric, bart, and eoin, and any other extraneous male varmont relations there may be also sit each council, and the respective queen's own male relatives may do as well, (as appointed by the presiding son in question,) all presided over by edmund or arthur, respectively, which is honestly probs another big opportunity for them each to learn abt such things so that's smth! in marian's case, sebastian would also be part of this council. before edmund and arthur were born, arthur or bart or perhaps even roderick, himself, was probs the presiding member.

sebastian: same as ot3: scs, but w less pressure and less opulent potential winnings, bc roderick doesn't mind as much if he doesn't have a holding in every country, etc! he also doesn't have access to affairs ~outside the empire, but may negotiate to his heart's content ~within it as long as he doesn't in any way embarrass roderick ofc!

cassandra: so this one's a lil uhhh weird...she can't do anything to earn anything except by pleasaing/displeasing her father or her mother or full bros doing the same! she also doesn't even get to attend the sessions where her lands etc are dealt with! the deal here is basically that these holdings are effectively her dowry. whoever marries her automatically becomes one of THE most powerful men in the world, becoming archduke and count and lord and everything else w a holding in each of roderick's many domains bc, after guin and roderick's wives, cassandra is the wealthiest and most powerful. (powerless) woman in the world via everything she's got. now, its not nearly as nice as what sebastian's got, bc roderick is here to make sure that his own blood is still more powerful than whoever just ~marries in~ etc, but!!! this is an insane level of wealth and power notwithstanding!!! rn, tho, this one's largely seen to by arthur w sebastian's help, since they both got a lot of holdings of their own to attend to. (also arthur defff checks in w his mom abt what she wants done here but that's just out of love/respect and isn't official bc marian is, ofc, a woman alksdjfkljdsf ironically tho i doubt it occurs to him much to check in w cassandra re: what ~she might want even tho these are literally ~her holdings lakjsdfkljsdf)

the church: yeah his one god getting a temple in every single land! and its gonna be bigg and granddd and flashyyyy, and this guy don't have to earn it! its not on the ~choicest pc of land but its still rad af and lotsa ppl would kill for it but they won't get the chance! the god gets his piece no matter what <3 i would guess that royce is running these, largely, but this lowkey falls under the jurisdiction of the entire privy council to deal w should anything come up and roderick is actively involved w designing each temple etc too

so the immediate imperial family now taken care of, roderick starts to think of satellite family. their tiers are still extravagant, but all ~the best has already been divvied up in the above tiers! now, best can mean amany things, and it incorporates both wealth/power AND strategic significance. so yeah! these guys are less trusted and can't rebel as easily, is basically the thought here!

bartholomew: once roderick's immediate family is all taken care, the very next guy roderick's thinking of is his uncle! he loves this guy, and trusts him as much as he trusts anyone, and before there were kids and multiple wives, bart got WAY choicer pieces!!!! so in the early conquests he realllly made out, still!!! he will still be more wealthy/powerful, id imagine, than cassandra's husband, id wager, but he's now much lower on the pecking order than he used to be, as each successive wife and child pops him into a lower bracket than he was, early on. bartholomew, like everyone else, has to earn these but it seems like he's extremely competent so ive no doubt that happens!

eoin/any other extraneous male varmonts: he's only a nephew, sure, but this dude's still a varmont! his ~sons will be varmonts! and that means smth!! so eoin, on his own, probs less wealthy than cassandra's future hubby, since he wasn't alive and accumulating wealth ~that long before roderick started having kids etc, but once he inherits from his dad and unites everything they both have, well, that varmont name still looking pr great!

brothers-in-laws: w all roderick's blood relatives taken care of, its time to start looking in on those in-laws! they def gotta earn this stuff, and a lot of this will depend on politics re: the related queen/heir etc bc if roderick's mad at amira, well, tristan's (look i brought it around to him again in his own post! ;D but...just as an example bahahah) not being put in a position to earn another holding! ~marian's brother is! and so forth lakjdsfalkjsdf this will ultimately also encompass families who intermarry w roderick's kids, etc. (bc in roderick's mind this is def happening someday! too bad only roderick stands in the way... ;D alkjsdflkjdsf) fathers of wives get better pieces than her brothers, older brothers get better pieces than younger ones, etc. cassandra's husband's family would get lesser pieces than the families of the queens, or of the princes' wives, since his social standing would be lesser. guin's hsuabdn's family would get more than sebastian's and it'd be a whole thing abt whether he gets more than arthur or edmund's bride's families but probs he would?

council members: here's where your alistair greys and your alexander royces come in! they too have to earn it -- in war, yes, but largely w good politicking! roderick likes that thing you did? you get a holding! you get a holding! you displeased him? no holding for you! etc

other loyal lords: earned by extraordinary deeds and pleasing roderick! you're a lord who distinguishes yourself in. me way? you get another holding courtesy the god's chosen! congrats! its good to be you!!! so yeah, roderick keeps lands to himself in this strata and a lesser one so that he can hand them out as rewards to those who earn them in his mind. beware tho! he will also give this strata of holding to the tier below if his lords have displeased him in some way, playing the commons and lords off against e/o just as he does w everyone else! (this also tends to help funnel rebels towards local landowners rather than himself -- this is another benefit @forgottenrian unwittingly offers roderick, which he's happy to exploit at any time!)

anyone else: roderick gets the significance of rewarding extraordinary effort! so he ~will raise you from nothing into a lord (w a lesser holding ngl but still!), if you're somehow epic enough as an ally to him/he happens to notice you for whatever eason and is randomly feeling generous/wanting to make the point of his generosity felt to his underlings! this category of man, who owes everything to roderick, he knows will fight the hardest and prove the most loyal. he exploits that

Not to way-overthink this or anything, but I feel like D&D alignment works best in terms of temperament rather than necessarily conduct. This is especially the case for the Lawful<-->Neutral<-->Chaotic axis.

It's interesting because I think this is generally accepted for the Evil alignments. It's really common to characterize Lawful Evil, say, with the example of a villain who may not care about specific regions' literal laws, but who generally adheres to a strict, clearly defined code of some kind that they're genuinely committed to and don't want to stray from.

Even if they end up in a situation where they have to choose between forwarding their evil plots or sticking to their code, and even if they reluctantly choose evil over the code, they're still essentially Lawful by disposition. It's wanting to follow The Rules (even if The Rules are self-imposed rather than societal structures) that aligns them with Law.

On the flip side, a Neutral Good character might end up following external rule systems because those particular rules don't get in the way of their moral purpose, or might sometimes even advance it, but not because they've actually internalized the rules or care all that much about them. It may be coincidental, or a matter of convenience. That doesn't make them Lawful. But if they're forced to choose between moral vision and personal or societal rules, they'd choose their morals without qualms—it's barely even a choice, really.

Even a Chaotic character doesn't morph into Lawful every time they happen to obey a law that isn't in their way. It's their temperament that is basically antagonistic towards Law, but that doesn't have to mean Chaotic Stupid in behavior.

Often, though, the idea that Lawful Evil can be evil with a strict personal code doesn't extend to Lawful Good having the capacity for good+a strict personal code, rather than outwards adherence to external laws and rules. But a Lawful Good character can do their damnedest to stick to a strict system of rules and order, even if nobody else agrees with them about it, and even if they consider specific external systems illegitimate. Not every revolutionary is Chaotic or even Neutral, and not every rule-abiding citizen of a corrupt government is truly Lawful.

I think there's also the idea that a Lawful Good character has to choose law (whether literal or a smaller-scale rule system) over morality when push comes to shove, or they're not truly Lawful, while this is typically not the case for Lawful Evil. But Lawful characters don't have to always pick the Lawful option when forced to choose, and aren't any more definitionally Lawful Stupid than Chaotic characters are Chaotic Stupid. A Lawful Good character is no less good than they are lawful.

In my last campaign, I got away with playing a Lawful Good warlock who refused to lie unless mind-controlled, but was willing to kill if she considered it just, or in the service of building a more just social order. At one point she calmly told her human bff's flawed love interest that if he did wrong by her friend again, justice would find him. He turned out to also be a Lawful Good warlock and actually respected her more for this, both because of her loyalty to her friend and her commitment to justice, and he ended up as a lifelong bro to my character ("lifelong" being 130 more years, so their relationship as surrogate siblings actually survived her bff/his wife by a very long time).

At another point, my character defended her friend's pursuit of vengeance against a colonizer as fundamentally just and likely a net good for the world, and therefore morally acceptable. The DM (rightly IMO, obviously) considered this consistent with her Lawful Good alignment and actually gave me inspiration for handling it in what he considered an interesting way. Lawful doesn't have to be this one size fits all characters box.

Mina's parents Intro

Sooo... you might be wondering... who are these characters, and where are their heads?

Well, the answer to those and many other questions is under the cut.

When it comes to Ed Edd n Eddy we have never seen any of the parents entirerly, the most we've seen was Ed's mom from the neck down. So, I've only designed Mina's parents from the neck down.

It's quite silly but I think it also adds a sense of mystery to it. Not even I know what their faces look like, because I've never thought of it.

I'm not gonna give them any names either, I'm just gonna call them "Mina's mom" and "Mina's dad".

I like to stay true to the show for stuff like this, in the same way Mina doesn't have a last name because the kids in the show don't have them either. They mostly never mentioned this stuff because the kids are the main focus, but I still find it interesting.

I'll give ya some info about her parents, and you can fill in the blanks yourself if you want.

Mina's mom is basically the most known parent in the entire show because Mina keeps mentioning her just as much as Eddy mention's his brother. Although, while Eddy keeps talking about his brother in a good light which we eventually find out isn't true, Mina keeps talking about her mom in a more bad light, but as the show goes on we'd slowly catch onto the fact that Mina's mom is an incredibly nice person.

I like to imagine that it's the little details that give it away, like Mina's lunch having her name written on it with hearts around it, which her mom made.

Mina's mom genuinely loves Mina, but she's very concerned about her as well. I mean a child spending the entire day in front of the TV really isn't a healthy hobby.

Which is why she keeps tyring to get her interested in different stuff to get her out of the house more often, which is difficult considering how difficult Mina is.

And this leads to the famous "Mina's mom getting mad at Mina" which Mina tries to avoid at all costs.

It isn't the yelling and messy type of mad, but more of the quiet type. Mina's mom can be genuienly terrifying when she's just looking at her in silence.

And Mina loves her mom as well. But currently she's far too grumpy to admit it.

As for her mom's personality besides being a nice person... I'll just say that she's the kind of person that walks through an IKEA for the entire day carrying 5 bags and she's still enthusiastic and full of energy after it.

Also, I've said it before but she works at a cosmetics shop.

Also, another important thing is that Mina's mom and Jonny's mom are bff's, so that's why Mina and Jonny have to spend a lot of time together (besides because they're cousins). I imagine that the two families often have lunch together or that they celebrate Christmas together, that kinda stuff.

And, finally, onto Mina's dad.

A very mysterious figure as he'd maybe be mentioned once or twice in the show by Mina.

Him and Mina basically always have silent solidarity going on. Whenever he gets home Mina moves over on the couch so that he can watch TV with her, without saying a word to one another which they prefer.

He's known as the electrical wizard of the culdesac, the other neighboors always call him to fix stuff for them. (mostly because they know he'd do it for free)

He works at an electrical shop, where they sell parts for things but also stuff like toasters, washing mashines etc.

As for their marriage It's basically those tall and short person relationship dynamics. :'D

I also keep imagining him buying flowers for her and cute little gestures like that.

I can also imagine that the other adults in the culdesac are secretly jealous of them...

Like how can someone have a such nicely put together life without a million problems?

Behind their backs they probably gossip about how they're faking it and that there's something bad going on behind the curtains, which makes Jonny's family the only one that's truly loyal to them.

You definitely remembered walking out of your bedroom after opening the door... and then everything went black and there was a horrible spot of pain on your head. Could it have been a dream? You've rammed your head on the wall of your bedroom while having a nightmare before... but it had been so real... You lifted your hand towards the painful spot around the back of your head and gasped, whimpering. It felt tender. In your desperation due to the pain you looked around and called a tentative "Mum!?", maybe she could bring a painkiller.

You had never hit the back of your head in your sleep, though, and you really do remember walking out of the bedroom... what was going on?! You tried to get up, calling for your mum again, but your legs wobbled and you stumbled a bit. Just as you were gonna fall over someone rushed to you and grabbed you gently by the waist.

"Woah, woah, hey! It's okay, take it easy, you... Get back in bed, you have concussion!" a familiar voice said as strong hands lifted you up and sat you gently back down on your soft bed way softer than you actually remembered.

"James...?" you whispered hoarsely, squinting in the dark but unable to focus due to the pain in your head. "Is that you...? What-?"

Your best friend shushed you gently and helped you lay back down. "It's okay... it's okay... lay back down, I'll explain in a minute... I just... I need to check..." he said, trailing off and standing from the bed towards the bedroom door. He pressed his ear hard against the wooden surface and then nodded, pulling the chair away from the knob and opening it gently, looking outside. He then quickly and quietly closed it back up and barricaded it again.

"What's-what's going on...?" you whispered, shaking both from pain and fear. Did someone break in after all?? Was that the sound you heard?! You lived in almost the middle of nowhere in a little backwoods sleepy town, break ins weren't that common, but they had happened before and it had taken a fair bit for anyone to reach the victim... the closest family was James', so you weren't surprised he was there... but... "My parents?!"

James shushed you again, hurrying to you. "I-I'm not sure... please keep your voice down... I already called the cops, I don't know if the intruder's still in here... Just... just keep your voice down, okay?" he whispered, cupping your cheek. He then reached to your night table and offered you a couple of pills and a glass of water. "Found them in your dresser, they're the ones you take after an injury right...? For the pain?"

You nodded quietly, taking the pills without questioning it. You regularly took painkillers due to gymnastics, the same with wearing ace bandages and having ointment... of course he'd know about that, so it wasn't weird that he went looking... Downing the water you winced and whimpered again, covering your mouth with your stuffie to muffle the sound. "There you go, good, good..." James said softly, caressing your cheek as he took the glass from you. "I'm so sorry... I should've arrived sooner but I wasn't sure what was happening..." "What d-do you mean...?" you whispered without the stuffie. "What happened...?" James sat up to listen for anyone moving in the house, then got closer to you in bed. "I was going to come over to give you back your cardigan that you left in my car... and that's when I saw someone sneaking about. I thought it was your dad trying not to make noise while getting something from the shed, but then I heard glass breaking in the back... I ran towards them, but they were already inside and I didn't know what to do... then I heard a mu-muffled yelp and I ran inside through the back door... I got up here in time to see the intruder hitting you on the head. T-they were covered in... covered in..." he said, but then trailed off, his eyes wild with both fear and horror.

You mirrored his look. "James, where're my parents? Where's my sister??" you asked frantically, trying desperately to keep your voice down. "Where-where-?!"

But his look and the tears running down his eyes made you gasped in horror. You wanted to scream, you wanted to run into their rooms and see for yourself, you NEEDED to see for yourself... but a rushing sound started in your head and you got dizzy , gasping for air and whimpering into your stuffie, gripping James' arm tightly. "Oh, no..." he gasped, trying to make you as comfortable as possible. "It's okay, it's okay, try to breath, please. It's the concussion, you're not supposed to fall asleep, but if you exert yourself it gets worse, too... Please try to rest just try not to fall asleep... Hey, please, stay with me... no, please..."

But his voice was getting further and further away, a wave of anxiety and terror flooding you. No, you couldn't fall asleep, it could be dangerous... but you couldn't keep conscious... but-

After what fell like an eternity you half woke up to blue and red lights and James' voice drifting from the porch right under your window. He was talking fast and unintelligibly, now and then sobbing softly, a deeper male voice answering to him in comforting tones. But before you could register anything else... you fell back into unconsciousness...

Hours later you finally woke back up, the soft sun rays filtering into your bedroom through the lace curtains... what a weird nightmare you had had. It had been horrific... Maybe you should call James and tell him, have a little laugh at how absurdly horrible it had been. You tried to reach to your night table for your phone, but something prevented you some being able to move. Pulling the blanket away slowly you found none other than James laying next to you, snuggling into your side. He protested at the light and hid his face against your shoulder, mumbling in his sleep...

His presence confirmed it hadn't been a dream and the scream that left your throat was too raw to describe. It woke James up, who looked around at a nonexistent threat and then back to you as you curled up and hugged yourself rocking violently as you sobbed and repeated "no, no, it's can't be no!" over and over and over. You scarcely felt his arms surrounding you and only looked up when you felt him pulling you into his lap.

It felt nice... he was warm and gentle, you could feel his heartbeat against your side as you curled up there, your head still hurting but not half as bad as it had done before. You couldn't stop sobbing, your tears rolled big down your already stained cheeks, falling onto your shirt and his arms. It couldn't be true, you were... an orphan now... and your sister!! Your smart and cheerful little sister, who was going on to middle school and had so many dreams and had told you once you were her idol... This memory made you sob harder and louder, leaving your throat raw and hoarse after each scream.

James let you cry it out, rocking you gently but not saying anything, letting you let it out on your own terms. After a while you slowly stopped crying, exhausted, feverish, unable to speak from screaming so much. You just rested in James' arms, panting softly and sniffling, cleaning your nose and face with the tissues he had pulled closer for you. "It's okay..." he said softly, caressing your cheek. "I-I can't imagine your pain... But I'm here, dear. I'm here for you and I'm not leaving, I swear that to you... I'll stay here with you and do whatever you need me to do... Here, taking this, I know your head must still be hurting, and after this it could get worse..." He passed you another couple of pills, and another glass of water, which you took without question again. You hungrily finished the glass of water and then half a bottle James offered. After you were done, you rested against him, his heartbeat giving you comfort. It was weird, you couldn't remember a time where his arms lingered this much around you, it was usually you who held him close and rocked him and shushed him gently till he felt better... but it felt nice, it was nice to be held like this for once, gentle arms, warm body, steady heartbeat, his breath on your ear as he whispered softly to you.

"Try and relax, I'll protect you, it's my turn to protect you, to keep you safe and happy... I'll be here with you..." he whispered, kissing her temple, then down to your cheek... then down to jawline.

You didn't stop him, you were much too dizzy for that... but one part of your brain also craved for this, for some kind of closeness, some way to stop feeling so vulnerable, to feel safe and secure nd protected, not so exposed and raw... Slowly you turned towards him, tilting your head to the side as he started to trail kisses down your neck, his hand on your waist, fiddling with your pajamas how did you get them on...?. You started to pant softly as you turned completely to face him, rounding his waist with your legs as you did so, his neck with your arms. Your head still hurt a bit, but the wave of endorphins from what you were doing mitigated the pain quite a bit.

"That's it... I promise I'll be gentle..." he whispered against your collarbones, snaking his hands under your pajama shirt, and you found yourself nodding at his words, trusting them completely.

"I know..." you panted softly as you lifted your arms so he could lift the shirt off of you. This wasn't like you, you never really thought of James as anything but a friend... why were you doing this? The rational part of your brain tried to stop you, this is wrong, and after what happened it was even worse! What type of person are you?! But it was pushed to the side by the dizziness you were feeling and the strong need to feel loved and cherished and protected in this very moment.

You felt drunk and unable to say no anyway... so any efforts would only exhaust you and this felt so much better... You widened your eyes for a moment and then melted into moans as James trapped one of your nipples in his mouth, suckling softly as you arched your back to give him more reach, his left fingers caressing up and down your back. You moaned again at his caressed and suddenly gasped as he cupped his hand between your legs, rubbing ever so slowly.

You tensed, pushing him away on instinct, but as he started to rub you tantalizingly your desire took over once again and you flopped against him, your hips rocking against his hand involuntarily. "Gods... James... W-What-Why...?" you moaned, digging your fingers in his shoulders, making him moan.

"I've... always wondered what your voice would sound like if I touched you like this... call it morbid curiosity, but... I'm not disappointed," he whispered in your ear, nibbling your lobe, making you melt against him. He gently started to push the waistband of your pajama bottoms away from your skin, pushing his hand inside. "James..." you said, in a last ditch effort of your brain to stop all of this... but once again the heat of desire won over and you let him, half resigned, half needy. You felt his hot, soft fingers start to explore you and you flopped against him again. "I'll be gentle, I promise, I know it's your first time..." he whispered, nipping gently at your neck as he laid you back down, knocking your head a little against the headboard in his haste. "Oh, sorry..." You let out a stupid drunkenly laugh at that, even if your head exploded in pain again... whatever painkiller you took mixed with the endorphins were already taking care of it... He pulled your bottoms off, tossing them aside and buried his face between your legs before you could register what was happening, making you yelp in surprise. "No, James..." you moaned, but your fingers buried in his hair and you pulled him closer, moaning his name over and over. Just before you reached the edge, though, he stopped and looked up, smiling at you and licking his lips in a way that made you want to run away... but there you remained... what had he said? Call it morbid curiosity...? It was so unlike you that you wanted to see where it took you two...

"I'll be gentle..." he repeated once again as he pushed his own pants down were those his pajamas?? when did he get them?!, revealing his hard on with considerable girth. He was a bit longer than you had expected as well, but your brain was so muddled that you didn't care...

He took you by your waist and finding your greedy entrance he rammed inside, making you scream in pain, which he muffled with his hand. "Shhh, shhhh, it's okay... Gods, you feel so good, dear..." he said in a raspy voice, moaning softly in your ear as he leaned over you. "I know I promised I'd be gentle, but I couldn't stop myself... You coughed as you sat up, completely naked, covered only by your blankets. you felt sticky and made a face about it, but as you tried to get off the bed you found James laying next to you again, this time awake, watching you sleep, fully dressed in his trademark jeans and sweater. "You still smack your lips when you're dreaming... it's so cute..." he said caressing your cheek softly. The pang of guilt hit you so hard it made you dizzy again, exacerbating your headached. "James... I..." you started, looking at him apologetically. "W-what happened... I... er... I'm-" But his face widened into a weird vacant smile. "It was just as good for me! I didn't know you felt the same way I did and-and... it made me so happy! I'm sorry about your neck, though," he said, casting his eyes down and touching your neck gently with his fingers. "I'll make it up to you, I promise... But first a bath, we both need it and-" "No, James, please-I'm-my family- and-" you stammered, unable to connect two coherent words together and the rawness of your throat wasn't helping either, you sounded like an out of tune flute. You had no en-suite, you shared a hall bathroom with your little sister... Your sister, your mum, your dad... You didn't think you'd be able to leave the bedroom without knowing, without having at least a little detail on what had gone on... on where they were now... "Where are- where is-?!" His eyes darkened and his face hardened as you tried to ask what you wanted to ask. He grabbed your face roughly. "Stop it, stop that..." he said as you tried to whimper. "You have no idea what I've gone through... what was waiting for you out there!! I had to clean everything!! Do you want to know what I found?! What I saw?! How they were?!" "What?! N-No!" you howled, coughing violently, sitting up and covering your ears. "No, no! Shut up!!! No!!"

James blinked and quickly took you in his arms. "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!" he whined, caressing your head a bit too hard. "I'm sorry!! I didn't mean to be so cruel! B-both of us are on edge and seeing you like this makes me so scared I'll lose you, too! I can't lose you, dear, I can't! Please... I'm so sorry..." His words and his vulnerability slowly brought you back from your panic. He was right... it was a very tense situation, and it must've been horrible for him to see all that if it had been as bad as he made it seem- no, why would be lie about something like that?! It must've been worse than he let on, he probably was swallowing a lot to just try and keep you safe from your own mind... Yes, that was it. He wasn't used to handling such burdens, it was usually you who lied to keep him sane, but this time it was his turn to do things like that. Like he said, it was his turn to protect you... maybe you should let him...?

"I-It's okay..." you hissed softly, trying to speak more articulately but unable to, your voice out of tune and breathy. "L-Let's take the bath, then..."

He smiled brightly, looking up from your shoulder and that made you feel better. It was gonna be okay... everything was gonna be okay... he would make it so it was okay-

"They haven't found him..." his voice drifted towards you, breaking your train of thoughts as he stood up with you in his arms and took you to the hall bathroom. "You know...? They haven't found the intruder, he's not here anymore... but they didn't find him when they looked for him last night. Who knows where he is... he could come back... freaky, hm...? Okay, where did you keep your bubble bath again?"

Your eyes widened, but you didn't say anything as he sat you down on the bathroom's counter and started to rummage in your drawers and cupboards, tossing bath toys and crayons into the hamper... Surely it was gonna be okay... surely he would make it okay... surely... maybe...

Also, Nancy burning Will to stop him... She could've done that somewhere else... Because like, I know it was a fast reaction, and a pretty decent one at that, but burning Will with a heated metal bar through his clothes was not her best idea. I bet that left a pretty bad scar, and that the hospital dress probably melted on in, at least a bit. Also, that thing was full of microbes, and even if it was heated enough to kill all of them, the fact that they didn't take care of the burn correctly and immediately most likely wasn't the best for Will's health. I bet it got infected in no time.

And, kinda unrelated ig, but the look one Will's face when the lights went super bright (because of El's powers probably) was empty as fuck oh my gosh--

Boy was tired as hell and didn't give a shit about anything at this point.

Honestly Steve didn't do too bad against Billy, I'm actually kinda impressed. I don't think he had much of fighting experience at this point, and Billy clearly love to fight, so it was already unfair since the start. But Steve still got some good hits!! :)

Love how panicked Steve was when he realized who was driving, it was hilarious XD
