Fucked up and played half of Halo 2 in one afternoon but uhhhh game fun. Still walking face-first into the wrong doors, but the levels don't need arrows to tell me where to go, so that's nice.

#The jump from easy mode CE to easy mode 2 is weird #so far at least #2 feels way easier for some reason. I think either the enemy hp or damage was changed.#Well the enemy hp for sure changed because the flood are WAY spongier now.#Like they absorb more bullets than in my normal run of CE even #Also I NEED to draw Rtas. I'm gnawing on him every time I see him. He and and Johnson are my favorites.#But that also means figuring out how to draw elites which. I find it kind of hilarious that Doremy Sweet never caused a problem in her life she's just dealing with someone else's mess every time she appears in a game. In LoLK she's either going "oh shit oh fuck you're a physical person you shouldn't be here or you might go crazy" or "sorry they're kinda making me do this. Actually I don't care go to the moon or something". Not to mention having to make a fake capital for them. And in aocf she's just trying to round up the mess that Rich Bitch Supreme caused her!! She just politely explains exactly what's going on to anyone confused and is only a little snide about everyone contributing to making her job hell. Except for yukari, bc she tears her a new one the second yukari decides to get all high and mighty thinking she's allowed to interfere with her work. It is not very often someone gets to put YUKARI FUCKING YAKUMO in her place. And she gives Reisen a chance to vent her frustrations in the process bc she's cool like that. Oh and ig in 16.5 she has to babysit a feral teenager. Again. Idk I think we focus too much on "lol look how fucked up it is that x touhou girl did y" we don't focus enough on the silly little guys who are just trying to help. I can excuse the sweet sleep pillow shenanigans and general smugness bc she has gone through enough and totally deserves to be Like That. At this point if she DID instigate an incident I'd say let her. This post was not supposed to be this long what the fuck happened. I love doremy so much.

can't believe a show based on a videogame (usually games adaptations are notoriously bad, which isn't the case here tho) gave me the beauty and the beast/twisted mirrors/enemies to traveling companions/ruthless antihero+optmistic but still badass heroine who takes none of his shit/age gap but make it sexy dynamic of my dreams. as much as i love maximus and i think he deserves the best writing ever because 1. he's a clever deconstruction of the aspiring Knight bro who's actually a bit of a loser and, as much as lucy, sees the world in black&white at first and then doesn't get what he thought he wanted but what he needs (or at least i hope he'll eventually get it), and 2. he's a cutie and i want an epic love story for him too, it's very funny how they tried to give us a puppy kind of romance and the tumblr girlies still fixated on the "toxic ~she bites his finger off and he cuts hers off and sews it on his hand in what we'll pretend it's a symbolic marriage rings exchange or whatever~ asshole who used to be a nice guy/good girl™ with a lot of spunk and hidden anger but unshakeable morals" kind of relationship.

#mind you idt the writers will ever have the guts to go for this pair or anything and i'm perfectly okay with the maximus/lucy romance #but still. they tried to give us the wholesome love story between two cuties with a killer side #and the fandom went ~mmmh we kinda want for that girl and the noseless radioactive ghoul to fuck nasty actually #shhdhdhf i'm sorry but this was so predictable to me. conosco i miei polli #also. i don't fully understand those who see it as a father/daughter thing? just because it worked on tlos #doesn't mean we need the same kind of dynamic here #1. despite him being an actual father (or at least. he was 200+ years ago) i've never seen a less paternal character than the ghoul lmao #2. lucy is an adult woman. young but in her mid twenties i guess? cooper had (and maybe still has) a daughter but the kid was like. 6 or 7?#lucy doesn't need a daddy she's a grown up. stop infantilizing women all the freaking time #let them be fully equals!! let them be bickering road trip companions/a killer squad/tentative allies who eventually form a real bond #i SWEAR if the writers go full parent/child bs with them in s2 because they're more popular #(at least on ao3. i don't expect the same level of insanity from the general audience)#than the canon ship i'll riot. idt they will but still #..... maybe they should go for a hot max/lucy/coop polycule instead. that would be interesting lmao #vaultghoul #fallout #val rambles in the tags #val speaks #txt

My comic is so pretty...

The hiatus is letting me take a little extra time on these episodes, and I'm definitely putting it to good use!!!

#almost done with my 8th episode... which will give me. two weeks. of buffer...#id really like at LEAST a month... but to be more comfortable id like two #which means 2-6 more episodes before I come back!#I've got about 7 weeks so its possible. but i do still have to finish book 4 #so much to do ..........#I decided for my next comic im doing 3 updates a month.#having 10 days instead of 7 to make an episode is such a huge huge huge difference...#difference in quality and in my health!#anyways the comic is really pretty im really happy with the work im doing rn #the environments especially. im getting to spend a nice amount of time on them and theyre turning out so nicely #its nice to be able to write with a lot of different environments and not have to redo panels when I get to them cause of time #cause every time theres a wild angle? you need a new background...#so sometimes. often actually. there just isnt the time to make the backgrounds for those and i have to make them more flat...#which is fine. it doesnt really affect anything narratively. but. idk. it's kinda sad right?#anyways yeah! 10 days will be much better.#36 episodes a year is about what ive been uploading with my hiatuses on the weekly schedule anyways!#so might as well cut out that super stressful middleman and just commit to that #52 a year is just such a huge difference and i have to accept its not possible to me #i will hurt myself trying to do that. and i want to make comics my whole life!#so i cant push myself that hard now and sacrifice my future. we're gonna go slower after this...#anyways yeah cant wait to come back but also time. if I could get an extra week like a secret one just for me #where theres no chores no nothin just me and my work #thatd be great! so go ahead and do what you gotta do to give me a little pocket dimension #me: ugh i want to return right now...#the more logical me: NO we need the time to finish everything!!!!!!
