I really think the damage caused by learning jean had a sister and then 20-odd pages later finding out she's been dead for years while jean was being tortured in a cult is completely unrepairable. ill never stop thinking about them.

they never got to grow up together. she would've been 15 in tsc. hes still a teenager and she never even got to be one. this is the only universe jean didn't kill himself, so it's the only universe he learns about her fate and has to live with that knowledge. FUCK

The first trial of AA4 is so special (and hilarious) to me because of how much a blatant fanboy Apollo is towards Wright.

He can’t talk to him without stuttering or keeping his admiration of the man in check,

and even his attitude in the trial can be boiled down to: “If Mr. Wright said it, then it must be true!” which is so cringe of him, I love it.

Case in point: Apollo uses Wright’s 7-year-long win streak that no one can verify as evidence that Zak must have lost their game of poker,

and then does the same thing again when Mr. Wright is the only one to suggest that there was a fourth person on the scene.

He really was a fanboy first and a lawyer second in this trial. No wonder Kristoph lost.

So I realized I’ve never actually posted any Riptide art I’ve done so… here’s the most recent Gil [even this one’s from last year.. that’s why I havnt posted any]

season 2 caitvi should be a role reversal where caitlyn’s the one obsessed with finding jinx because she needs to bring her to justice — ESPECIALLY after the death of her mum — while vi is the level-headed one who’s accepted that powder is gone and now cupcake needs her help…except now cupcake is acting completely out of character: irrational, angry, lost in the sauce as she tries to figure out the best angle to take jinx down from. she tries to help her, but at a certain point she sees the obsession starting to hurt her, starting to wear her down so she tries to appeal to her heart. she kisses her. she hopes to bring her back down to reality. maybe more happens. maybe there’s a desk involved, i don’t know. what i do know is they have an argument right after because now caitlyn’s accusing vi of trying to distract her from something important because jinx is her sister and she doesn’t want caitlyn to stop her, or worse.

“you’re not acting like yourself!” vi implores. “this isn’t you!”

“how do you know who i am? we’ve known each other a week! you don’t know me.”

and that’s the straw that breaks vi’s back. that’s the last bit of piltie bullshit she can take. cait was supposed to be different, after all, but all of them only care about themselves, while vi is here caring for everyone else BUT herself. she leaves cupcake to her work. she doesn’t want to be involved if it means losing the one person she thought she could care about again.

and, with that final straw, caitlyn goes after jinx alone. “it had to be you,” jinx tells her. now she doesn’t have to hold back.
