hongsang becomes more insane to me the more i read red chamber bc i keep noticing little things that make me want to explode. did you know mirrors are a pretty heavy motif in red chamber? Bao-yu flat out has a mirrored self in the text (i’m not there yet but i know that)

I don’t know if it’s even in a ship way but i keep noticing connections. They’ve both got a lot about being controlled/trapped and false contentment with that situation in their stories (this will find its way to canto 8. please) and the fact that it was THESE TWO to get the dimension shredder egos makes me want to explode

Stiff stiff stiff stiff hi. Ok. Coming off of anon for this one bc the brainrot is too much ANYWAYS I was sending tcd asks like last week??? Idk ANYWAYS I JUST FINISHED WATCHING SECRET LIFE THE OTHER DAY AND I HAVE SOOOOOO SOOO MANY THOUGHTS. So many thoughts about TCD Scar and Secret life Scar. And also some of the things Martyn was saying about Scar lore-wise. I’m actually gonna put a few quotes from Martyn here about it:

“Can you just imagine how distraught and how upset Scar is at just whacking that success button over and over and every time: ‘Win Secret Life’ ‘Win Secret Life’ ‘Win Secret Life’ just over and over and over again”

Ok end of quotes here. I am just thinking SOOOO HARD ABOUT THIS OUGSHSH. I’ve been rotating this in my head for like 3 days now. First of all, like the whole secret keepers/watchers CONSTANTLY giving Scar tasks that end up isolating him from the rest of the server in a way (kind of like they know that loneliness hits Scar much harder than the others and they’re doing it on purpose to break him early on in the game), and then Scar building up those big deep slate walls around most of his base to physically keep people out (and even if it doesn’t keep people out physically, it’s still more or less reflects his mental state and how he’s treating everyone around him), and the whole sneaking around everyone and flitting between groups without committing himself because he knows (EVEN THOUGH HE TALKS ABOUT WANTING FRIENDS) that his best bet is to take advantage of having connections without actually getting attached to anyone (kind of like maybe he’s learned somewhere before that isolation is the best route for survival). GOD HES JUST LIVING RENT FREE IN MY BRAIN AAUGGHH. Also Scar just eventually accepting that he’s going to be isolated no matter what, and giving into what the tasks want him to be. BUT ABOVE ALL OF THAT. Him being surprised that he even won in the first place????

And just being legitimately shocked that he actually came out on top and managed to survive everything. It’s like, even though he knew that not having any true connections gave him the best opportunity for survival he was STILL surprised to have made it out alive in the end. And back to what Martyn said about him being stuck there alone, just losing himself to madness because there’s nobody left but himself. it’s just like being back where he started again, utterly alone with no way out and nobody left to help him, and that he would rather be dead or living through another death game than be completely alone again. ok I’m done lol I am so sorry for going on that enormous ramble in your inbox HRJSKF :’)

This reminds me of an au I made relating to my immortal scar hc where Scar gets stuck in 3rd life and everyone forgets him. Only the winner, Grian, remembers him and he remembers that Scar is supposed to be another hermit-

Scar is the only one who didn't die at the end. So I can imagine him slowly going mad and maybe he's secretly hoping that maybe... maybe someone will come back for him. Someone will come save him, right?

But why would they. He was the villain after all. Even if not of his own volition- he was still a villain and he deserves this.

things of note that i think are fun.... nene and rui had major questioning phases pre-wxs about being aroace. i'd imagine nene being really confused why everyone around her seemed so interested in dating and romance and the whole amatanormative feel of dramatic media and such. it's in so many plays, and people get in so many shipping wars/draw suggestive art for games. it's hard to ignore as a theater kid and gamer. she didn't get it and felt isolated. she came across the term aroace online but had a hard time accepting that she might be that, but eventually silently embraced it. rui on the other hand knew full well he was not like other people. he's not the kind of guy who would pick and choose a crush that isn't there. being aroace and a middle/high schooler made him feel even more lonely and alienated from his peers. he agknowledged the fact he was aroace pretty easily, but it took him a lot longer to accept that isn't a bad thing at all.

emu and tsukasa had NO clue they were aroace. did not occur to them at all. emu had to be told it was a thing and she went "huh? OHHH THATS ME !!!! :D". skipped teh entire questioning/am i broken stage and went right to "hehehehehehe". (though other people don't believe her that often. emu is so full of love. how could someone like her not fall in love with other people? she's too young. she hasn't met the right person yet. it's just a phase. her siblings started off as ignorantly aphobic, but then realized the fault of their ways and learned.). my hc for tsukasa is a bit different than other peoples, but i am fully convinced he thought he was bisexual for teh LONGEST time. "guys and girls can both be good looking, so i must be bi! yeah the extent of my feelings is "they're cool" ... what do you mean that's not what a crush is". it was a shocking revelation to him that people actually want to kiss/have sex for real. he's accepted being aroace and actively embraces it, though he still feels connected to teh bi label. he'd like the concept of tertiary attraction and probably label as bi aroace, to honor both.

i like to think that tsukasa accidentally came out first (accidentally meaning he simply forgot to tell them and then was surprised when they were all surprised). emu was like !!!!! omg samsies and nene laughed and came out, too. wxs were the first people rui ever said the words "aromantic asexual" out loud to.

i personally think aroace polyshow never actually labeled themeselves as such, but BOY do tehy act like they're all married. they just care about each other soooooo much. its platonic its queer platonic its romantic its everything all blended together. if its them, they can do anything. with the shared knowledge of being aroace, they all also sort of feel more comfortable being openly affectionate, yknow? there's no risk of misinterpretation of intent- they love each other. they love each other in a way that they cannot describe and most people wouldn't understand. they are tied by their love of shows and their love of each other. emu is really physically affectionate and they all feel safe cuddling with her. rui lightheartedly flirts and half the time i dont think he even realizes he's doing it, the other half he's just trying to be silly. nene excels in the silent acts of love, making sure the stage is clean and there's always a few snacks backstage and honeslty just being there for everyone.

they have game night/sleepover every once in a while, usually during planning stages of shows. there's also a high likelyhood one goes to another's house at least once a week for some reason.

oh also they never do romance plays ever. it was a revelation tehy only came to after coming out. it just... never occured to them to do one. and now that they all know none of them can fall in love they actively try and avoid it. they've re-written fables to be about the power of friendship, or re-imagined the tale to the point romance wouldn't even be on anyone's mind. it's not a theme the audience ever picks up on, but at the same time they do? they don't realize the pattern but nobody ever comes out of a show with that interpretation. their shows are a hit every time, too. ("story" doesn't mean "romance", after all).

wonderlands x showtime isn't a romance. it's a love story.

Jonathan Borg: heir to Borg Industries, curious about the supernatural elements of Ninjago, knows about something he probably shouldn't. Ah, this shitty sheriff can handle a gun. But he goes straight for killshots and doesn't have nearly the precise grouping Vash has. Also, Vash's face....

Vash still claps for the guy. He knows it's expected of him, and he'll get further with the guy if he tries to smooth things out than if he criticizes his technique. They're not close enough for that yet.

Marlon gets it. Also, I think it's hilarious that he calls the sheriff "kid," since I'm guessing the sheriff assumes he's older than Vash. But it seems like the Marlon family has a history with Vash that goes back far enough to know he's not exactly human.

I finished DJ again last night for the I don't know how many time and it's always so good each time 😭 I know people criticize Laurie, but for the vibe of the show, it really fits for the show itself. DJ really is his best piece of acting, in my opinion, and it's sad that we'll probably never see him again in a series like that. I think it's where his acting abilities really come out to shine, when he can character build and show different faces in the same project span and grow. Chris can really be a phenomenal actor! I want like 12 more things like DJ. He is soooooo good!

Not to say he isn't good movies, like Snow Piercer and Puncture. Top Tier. Captain America I feel had more of the nostalgic pull and comic fans, but he was still good. I love Steeb.🥹 (My opinion, don't hang me crowds!!) I personally really loved Before We Go. I feel like he character built from a blank slate across the whole film and it really just worked for him. RSDR is all the Ari aesthetic look...and I agree. Ari is a top character, but the film...😬 Same thing with Ghosted. Top character, but the movie....😬 and same with Lloyd. I loved his character and he killed it, but the movie felt...off to me. I wont ever rewatch it, even if I had netflix again. I just like Lloyds scenes. 🤭🙈 The exception to this rule is Knives Out. Ransom is a wonderful piece of his to watch AND the movie when he's not in it is wonderful. I went to theaters to see it the first week and I forgot that I was there for Chris' character. I haven't watched PH because I don't have Netflix, so that one I'm leaving out.

Basically, this is a love post for Chris and his craft and he deserves more credit for where it matters and where it's due. He just needs to pick better pieces. 😭

I randomly watch DJ all the time. Just turn on a few episodes. Especially when I’m sick I find myself going to watch DJ. Hey, I have said their lack of chemistry works for DJ, it’s not me. In fact, I still Laurie had someone else. The whole time I was waiting for that to be revealed. But i agree, this was some of his best work, and I love that he did that. He took a risk, and challenged himself. And while critically or awards wise it might not have panned out, but it’s still my favorite.

Knives Out is an incredible movie, and just think Chris pushed for that role. He went to Rian to let him know he was interested. he wanted that role, and he made it happen. I want him to find that passion again. KO was the last movie I watched with my brother. He was not a fan 😂 he said it was too damn long.

I can imagine the institution really did it’s best to just crush any decent coping mechanisms Norman had. They probably thought it would help him “grow up” or deter his age regression (I know that’s only technically canon to the book, but Tony performs those parts even when it’s not necessarily in the script. He’s so good at knowing when to put Norman in a childlike mindset). Suggestion: Modern AU where Mary takes Norman to Build-A-Bear?

The thing that’s so funny to me about Norman’s horrendous eating habits is that Tony was JUST AS BAD 💀 his milk drinking was fucking infamous. He lived on grilled cheese sandwiches and chocolate junket pudding. He adored hamburgers and literally has multiple quotes saying “I was trying to listen to this director/someone who was speaking to me, but I was sooooo hungry I wanted a cheeseburger SOOOOOO bad 😫”. Okay just finished watching all of Downton Abbey!! here are some thoughts. sorry for the length but I need to get this out of my system this has no particular order or reason I am just wringing out my mind like a dirty washcloth.

I feel like everybody here looooves Thomas. Probably like 90% of the Downton Abbey fanfiction on Ao3 are about Thomas. Um you guys know there are other characters in this show right? So I know it's unoriginal. But. I have to admit it. Thomas is my favourite and i love him <3

like they would be talking at dinner about Important Plot Things and Thomas is in the background serving appetizers and I'm like lol. there's Thomas. Then I'd have to rewind cuz I wasn't paying attention

Like oh yeah suuuure you're all about socialism and equality when you have to drive people around for a living but then you happen to marry a lady and suddenly you're all about upholding the same classist structures that once held you down. 🙄 What ever happened to your PRINCIPLES man?!! He has all the political backbone of a jellyfish. 

And like, Miss Bunting and even Miss Braithwaithe were RIGHT about Tom but they were made out to be SOOO obnoxious, like they were unreasonably painted as villains but at the core of it they were RIGHT. He WAS getting uppity. He WAS forgetting his roots.

Lord Grantham’s like "ooooh it's so sad those terrible brutal communists have been killing those poor innocent Russian aristocrats, oooh how horrifying i do not condone violence and killing" Yeah, but like... it's not as if the Russian peasants weren’t dying brutally at the hands of the rich and powerful for centuries. You weren't crying about it then.

Vera and Lavinia were like the same character to me. The same except so far the opposite it swung around to being the same. Vera was absurdly evil and Lavinia absurdly good and they both served no purpose except to be the obstacle to the One True Pairing 🙄

also Mr. Gregson's wife! Do we even learn her name? Poor lady is having a terrible time of it imprisoned in a mental hospital and literally nobody cares. :/ So much for those wedding vows, "in sickness and in health"

I think the plot with Jimmy would have been more interesting if Jimmy actually HAD led Thomas to believe he had a chance. Like if Jimmy's maybe having some weird feelings he doesn't know how to deal with. But then when push comes to shove Jimmy decides he just doesn't want to risk it and acts all offended to save his own reputation. Because as it is it felt like... a little too sudden. Or maybe I just feel too embarrassed on Thomas's behalf that he made such a mistake.

Anna and Mr. Bates. Ugh. I found their romance SO boring and tedious, so many obstacles were thrown in their way I forgot why they even wanted to be together in the first place. one of the worst subplots and they NEVER let it go

 Daisy was saying a lot of nasty things too by the end of the show honestly. But nooo Thomas is the mean one

 I feel like there is some sort of parallel that could be drawn between Ethel and Thomas. Or I'm not sure if it's a parallel but... how do I put this. If you think that Thomas's lot is unfair, then what happened to Ethel was also unfair. Because what did she do, really? The same thing I bet everyone on here wants Thomas to do. We all love Thomas but nobody really cares about Ethel. :/ idk I thought she had spunk and ambition and it's a shame they had to reduce her to a "fallen woman" subplot

I’m pretty open to honestly most classic literature, i’ve been wanting to get some recommendations that aren’t the same authors. Sylvia plath unfortunately doesn’t really do it for me because I’m probably not her target audience but some of her poems/proses are good! I’m currently reading dracula/frankenstein (at the same time lol) and have been loving it so far. The only con about frankenstein is that i bought a tinier version so the words are huddled together and although my ass CAN read it i’d rather the words to be spaced out :-( not sure if it’s a me thing… i’ll just finish the book and see if i would get another version of frankenstein hehe

hmmm off the top of my head, since you like classics i’m thinking of virginia woolf, toni morrison, and maya angelou! for woolf, i read mrs dalloway (which i LOVED) and a room of ones own for a school assignment. i def recommend those! and for morrison, i read song of solomon which i also really, really loved. beloved by her is also on my list! for maya angelou id definitely recommend and still i rise and letter to my daughter <3 her poems are beautiful too!

oh EXCELLENT question!!!! there are soooooo many film soundtracks I love it's very hard to choose. i love hans zimmer's scores for the lion king and the prince of egypt (idk what it was about 90s animated movies that motivated hans zimmer to write the most gorgeous scores of all time but i'm glad it did) and the prince of egypt is also probably my favourite movie musical and I adore the songs for it.

I'm also a big fan of michael abels' soundtracks for us and especially nope!!! I spent so much time listening to the nope soundtrack while working last year it's so wonderfully atmospheric. speaking of which little women 2019 is another film score i love listening to while working... which is probably not a great idea bc it also makes me Very Emotional

OH AND ACROSS THE SPIDERVERSE!!!!! EVERY TIME GWEN OR MIGUEL'S THEMES KICK IN DEAR GOD

ok i gotta admit I don't know if I have a good answer for this one. I've definitely watched some films that made me angry bc they were so bad, but I don't think I've ever experienced a film making me angry bc it brought up too many feelings.

maybe the closest comparison I could make is birdboy the forgotten children. it's definitely the film i most distinctly remember making me feel things I couldn't really properly articulate, but I wouldn't say it made me angry! in fact it's one of my favourite films!! (sidenote - I would strongly recommend checking out birdboy if you can - it's an absolutely gorgeous and heartwrenching spanish animated sci fi/horror/fantasy film that I think is just. SUCH an underrated gem)

oh also maybe my feelings on captain fantastic come close? I don't think it's a bad film by any means but dear LORD does it dredge up a lot of feelings I have about how kids get treated by their parents and in society and I feel a lot of. very complicated things about it.

Let’s just get this over with so you two can go back to biting each other’s head off.”

Totally Valid And Understandable Reasons Shen Wei Could Have For Not Admitting To Zhao Yunlan That He's Hei Pao Shi

because here's the thing, right. if shen wei knows from episode 1 that zhao yunlan is going to travel back in time and see hei pao shi without his mask on, that means he knows that he can't hide his secret identity forever. at some point, zhao yunlan is going to know. so what was the game plan here? why not just be upfront about it? a non-exhaustive list.

when they first meet at the university, they're in public. what if somebody (xiao guo) says "HEI PAO SHI?!??!" really loudly or something? it could be this whole thing. shen wei works here! he likes this cover identity! what if he has to move? what if he has to change his name? what if he has to get a makeover to keep people from recognizing him? what if he has to stop wearing sleeve garters???? the risk is just too great.

he wants zyl to be his friend and he thinks zyl would be more willing to befriend a suspicious yet intriguing university professor than a terrifyingly superpowered foreign government liaison, so he doesn't want to tell him that he's hps until they're already friends. he wants zyl to get to know him as him, not his office. too bad that in order to hide his hps identity, he's gonna have to lie about a whole bunch of stuff, which means zyl can't fully get to know him until he comes clean. also too bad that he sucks at lying.

zyl would probably be less likely to share information about cases with him if he knew shen wei was hps. (i'm basing this on the fact that zyl has been chief for a while and has never gone to hps before now.) and recently shen wei has discovered that having conversations about cases with the chief of the SID is - get this - actually helpful in solving those cases! therefore, for the good of all creatures everywhere, it is his solemn duty to lie to zyl about his alter ego. QED.

being hps is lonely! people are intimidated by you. they don't try to take care of you. i think he likes having zyl treat him like he's delicate, sometimes. nobody fusses over a guy with healing powers getting tetanus or colds, you know what i'm saying? nobody tries to rescue a superhero from muggers. nobody is gonna put a boyfriend jacket on the black-cloaked envoy! that dude is already good to go on outerwear. he might as well be called the No-Need-To-Give-Me-Your-North-Face-Because-I-Am-Already-Very-Warm-And-Stylish Envoy.

he keeps meaning to tell zyl but then forgets. one time he was going to make a note to remind himself to do it in the morning, but then he used up all his ink ghostwriting zyl's report to minister gao. another time he did make a note, but it happened to be the closest scrap of paper to hand when he needed to come up with non-supernatural explanations for a weird mauling, and after he drew a bear on it he forgot that there was something else on the back. hate it when that happens.

he feels like it would be rude not to tell chu shuzhi first, but then they had that weird interrogation when shen wei was caught at the face-stealer crime scene, and now it would just be like. soooooo awkward. chu shuzhi would be all, "i can't believe i tried to creep you out with a puppet and then told you you couldn't compare to one of your own toes, oh god, please let the earth swallow me," etc., etc. kinder not to tell him, really.

as soon as he comes out as zyl's diplomatic counterpart, is that going to color all of their interactions? he likes being able to talk to zyl about stuff without bringing Envoy this and Lord that into everything. he likes them spending time together as shen wei and zhao yunlan, not as the representatives of their respective species. even if zyl suspects his identity, not actually telling him gives them plausible deniability to keep doing that. once shen wei tells him, are they gonna have to officially register their relationship with haixing inspectorate HR? will this be considered a COI? how many NDAs would this necessitate?? the acronymic red tape could be nigh on infinite.

zyl is spending so much time on shen wei right now, devoting all his admirable tenacity and powers of observation to figuring out what his whole deal is, and shen wei likes being the center of his attention! once zyl has proof, is he gonna quit following shen wei around and pretending they just ran into each other? is he gonna stop waltzing into shen wei's office and eating all his cake? WHAT IF SHEN WEI HAS TO EAT HIS OWN CAKE. unacceptable. worst-case scenario. must be avoided at all costs.

- He can cook, it’s just some weird stuff his darling has never heard of in your life but it still tastes good. He also will hand feed his darling so he can make sure his darling eats enough (To his liking at least, it’s definitely too much for a normal person).

- He definitely acts a lot sweeter when his darling is sick. He might be more of a test as well. He’s just like “Ha your feeble body can't take some weak ass virus, ha!” even though he’s probably the one that gave it to his darling since he wouldn’t admit he was sick. He also might be a little blunt, since he isn't great with being soft.

okay so: fic recs

So this is gonna be really long and rambling (I'm sure), but we start with the basics.

If you're only ever going to read one and only one fanfic in your entire life you have to read Increments of Longing. It's a Jaina Proudmoore/Sylvanas Windrunner fanfic, but it's AU enough and so well written, that you probably do not actually need to know anything about Warcraft or World of Warcraft and the respective lore and backstory to enjoy it. Just look at it like a very good fantasy novel about an arranged marriage. [...]“But you would tell me what you want?” Sylvanas asked in a voice that was far too controlled to be truly nonchalant."[...] I could not even tell you why, but this line there from the second chapter? It gives me feels (and I could not even tell you what exactly I'm feeling, but yeah).

Anyway, read it (I've read it twice now)!

Okay, from the same author I also whole-heartedly recommend you search the mountain. Which is another Jaina/Sylvanas story, again AU, with Jaina being Drust. You do not necessarily need background info - there even is a map of Kul Tiras included - but you'd probably benefit from it. Particularly the early chapters, when you get to know Arthur, made me laugh and giggle quite a bit, even though the story itself is - since it's about the Drust and a civil war - a bit of a horror story/military fiction crossover I'd say. Good read.

And my kinda guilty pleasure (also from the same author) is no end in sight. It's a story about Suramar (and healing). And when I started playing WoW towards the end of Legion, shortly before the Argus patch, I absolutely fell in love with that region/city and the Nightborne - probably because I wasn't stuck on the repetitive content of it for forever lol. So this story about Thalyssra and Jaina and the other Nightborne NPCs is awesome. I was actually considering to also write about Jaina/Thalyssra, simply because just imagine the insane magic those two could do when working together (I mean they kinda do in Nazjatar), but knowing me, this will probably never get past the conception stage.

Inevitability is also absolutely amazing (it's another - you probably guessed it - Jaina/Sylvanas AU, with both of them being professors - considering I've been working in academics for the last 15 years that's kinda my jam). And I have a lot of thoughts about it, which for the sake of not boring people to death I'm gonna abbreviate (but well I'm ready to talk people to death if they are interested). One: I'd love to meet this Sylvanas. Two: I'd never have the guts to talk to her, but I'd totally want her to take me home lol (and I'm not even sure I'm gay). Three: life at universities around here is very different from - I'm assuming - the US.

(Also if you're into AUs, go check Fearless - which features witches and ghosts and is fun.)

Okay, so now we're coming to how I actually fell into the whole Jaina/Sylvanas thing. It's because of Daugthers of Sea and Snow. Which is a Frozen/WoW crossover featuring Jaina/Elsa I found by looking through Frozen Fanfics when I was bored around the time Frozen 2 came out and then completely forgot - it was still work in progress then; I found the still open tab in my browser like four to three weeks ago, saw it was finished now and devoured the whole thing. And while I was there, I looked at the other things that author had written - and that's how I stumbled upon Jaina/Sylvanas, like two years late. Which is probably kinda ironic, since I played BFA a lot (mythic raiding beginning with Uldir), loving the Storyline in Kul Tiras and being absolutely enamoured with Jaina especially after her Warbringers vid (I still sometimes humm the song) - and liked Sylvanas since Warcraft III. Sometimes life is weird.

So and after that I jumped down this particular rabbit hole while doing a thrilling backflip. There is an assortment of other stories that I very much enjoyed.

A Touch of Arcane - the first fix of political marriage AU for Jaina and Sylvanas that I got (I think it was actually the first Jaina/Sylvanas fic I read period). And boy did I get hooked to that.

Along the same lines but different are Worth the Trouble and Two Rooms.

If you're into AUs for that pairring, you'll find a lot of intereseting ones from the Author katofthenorth. The one about diving is really cute.

Stories not yet finished that I thoroughly enjoyed so far (most of them political marriage AUs - lol I'm a sucker for those okay, it's not my fault!):

Ink and Honor is amazing. I came for Jaina/Sylvanas, but I love the Thalyssra/Vereesa storyline just as much - it's sooooo cute, like even Genn ships them ^^.

The Lighthouse. Amazing AU, I love the idea - and it's not political marriage! I cannot wait for the next chapters.

I've dug too many holes into this thawing ground. This story gave me a lot of feels too.

Honorary mentions for stories that I'm assuming might never be finished, but are amazing reads.

Shot in the Dark. Fuck that is awesome! Secret agents and spies - okay technically snipers, but it's the feeling that counts, right? (and Tyrande in a suit is a nice bonus).

Trust in Me. Sylvanas as Jainas bodyguard AU.

Okay so... I still have like 250 tabs or something ridiculous open in my browser (that's not overstating it, it's fact, in fact I might be understating it at this point and it could already be 300) and I haven't obviously read all the amazing Jaina/Sylvanas fanfics out there yet, particularly short ones or one shots or series might have gotten lost, since I usually filter for high wordcounts only. So, if anyone feels stuff is missing, it does not mean I didn't like it, it could be I've just not read it yet.

And now for something completely different.

I want to point towards one of the coolest crossover stories/series I've ever read: Felicitas. Which is an Arrow/Highlander/Raven crossover that imagines Felicity as an ancient immortal. And it's just soooooo good, I've been following it for years. (That being said, I never watched Arrow past season 2 and I probably never will considering what I know about how the story of the show continues, I've been burned once with Bering and Wells, I'm not going there again. But that's totally fine, because Felicitas also only goes as far as Season 2.)

And then there's still waters and quiet men. I'm not even sure what to say about it. The sheer lunacy and the insane escalation present in this story should not have amused me as much as it did I think, but I remember laughing tears when reading this, because while it's actually really sad that some people might find this kind of behaviour of male characters in fiction normal, it was abso-fucking-lutely hilarious in my opinion. (That said, I've probably only read it halfway, but still, it's hilarious! Well if you have the same maybe weird sense of humor I have anyway.)

New Beginnings is a FemShep/Liara crossover with Stargate SG-1. So it's combining my favourite TV show with my favourite Videogame of all time. And it's brilliant.

So yeah that's my fic recs for the time being. If you just want a tl;dr, go read Increments of Longing. (I just cannot stress enough how amazing that story is.)
