Pathetic!Simon purposefully gets sick. He's seen the way you coddle your baby, and he wants a sliver of that attention.
(i will not go into detail on what he does, but be aware that temperature doesn't make you sick, bacteria and viruses do. good luck.)
Once sick, he covers his face with a black surgical mask and waits around the time you come home to step out, hoping to catch you in the lift.
Bingo.
"Oh my god, forgive me for saying so, but you look like death." He'd huff out a chuckle if he didn't also feel like it.
He can feel his throat itch, a tight pressure in his chest, and a wet cough claws out of his throat. Simon tips his head and moves to go around you but you're swiftly grasping his hand, dragging him back down the hallway.
"Absolutely not, you are not walking around like a living dead while this ill."
He's dizzied off of your touch, the small hand in his larger one slamming his pathetic, little heart against his ribs.
"Even your hand is hot to the touch! You, sir," a jingle of house keys as they're inserted into the lock, "are getting some much-needed rest. The baby is with her grandmother today, so it'll be just us."
He can't be blamed for the way his cock stirs at the thought of being alone with you. This is better than what he'd expected, truthfully speaking. Simon had just wanted your sympathy, maybe even a cup of homemade soup but this?
"Come, shoes off." He toes off his new balances as he watches you take off your coat, hanging both on the rack.
You flick your eyes to him and that look you give him makes his cock twitch. Your brows are furrowed, a worried look reflected in your pretty eyes, the corners of your beautiful lips pulled down.
Pity. His loins are on fire. You pity him, and he loves it.
"Simon, I think we should lie you down." Your fingers grab his own, leading him toward your bedroom.
Everything happens in a blur, maybe he's gone and gotten a little too sick, but it's all worth it when you tuck. him. in.
Unfolding the covers that lay on the foot of the bed, you gently pull it until it sits just under his chin.
"Right, you get some sleep and I'll make you some chicken soup. I've luckily got all the ingredients in the fridge already."
Would it be too much to ask for a kiss on the forehead?
The door softly clicks shut and he unloops the masks from around his ears and breathes in.
Your blanket smells like you— a heady, musky vanilla with an underlying twang of lavender.
His head spins, it's so rich in your scent, his painfully hard cock straining against the zipper of his trousers. His imagination runs wild as he fists it and presses it right under his nose, inhaling noisily.
Do you sleep shirtless under this blanket? Does it have the privilege of feeling your bare, soft skin?
He's always known that he's a bit insane, especially with his borderline criminal behavior, but what he does next, he really hopes you don't blame him for.
Simon pulls down his trousers just a bit and fists his cock from over the blanket— the touch as close as he's ever going to get from you.
He's been aroused since you laid eyes on him on the lift, the almost disappointed face you gave him was almost too much. Simon loves it, any attention is worse than none, but his spine tingles when you, and only you, look at him like he's a pitiful cur.
A stray dog that limps around, scrounging for food around the streets, tugging at the heart strings of others.
Sublime.
He curls into himself as he nears his peak, the material of your blanket sodden with his pre-cum, a souvenir of his time here.
And then your footsteps are outside of your door, your knuckles rapping on it.
"You need anything from me, Simon?"
Oh, love. Give him everything.
He choked out his negative, which you luckily mistook as him having a small coughing fit but in reality, your dulcet voice sent him careening over the edge at neck-break speed— gooey, viscous cum spurting into your blanket.
Simon's teeth audibly grind, keeping back any noises that want to claw out of his sore throat.
Drawing in a big gulp of air, his body loosens, sinking into the mattress as his eyelids begin to feel heavy.
Now, he can sleep.
He sincerely hopes this blanket is your favorite.

Hey are you doing good? Your writings are just so CUTE AND WHOLESOME (guilty of reading them over and over) And when you're free and if you want, could you please write how Yuji, Megumi, Gojo and Geto would react to their gf preparing food for them for the first time but it doesn't taste as good🥺? Thanks!
"MADE FOOD? OH NO..."
—making food (to the best of your ability) for gojo, geto, yuuji, and megumi
Tumblr media Tumblr media
a/n: i am doing well; thank you so much for asking! and thank you a ton, sweetheart! I am glad you like them <333 I hope you enjoy this as well! I honestly relate to this so much
Tumblr media
GOJO SATORU:
"I AM HOME!” satoru announces loudly and you run to him and tackle him in a hug. he happily squeezes you tightly and spins you around, “YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH I MISSED YOU, SWEETS!”
you giggle as he starts peppering your face in kisses, “the curses were so ugly as usual, eugh, I am so glad I can finally look at something as beautiful as you.”
“oh shut up, you flirt.”
“of course, you’re no match to my beauty but I can accept it—“ he says but as is cut off by you, rightfully, elbowing him in the stomach.
you turn your back to him, “how disappointing and poor me spent time cooking something for your ‘beautiful’ self.”
"really?!" and the way he instantly beams at the mention of good makes you chuckle. it also make you just a tad bit worried and you involunatrily fidget with your fingers.
of course, he notices, "what's wrong?"
you sigh, "I am just worried that the food won't be as good as you think it will be, but I tried my best, I swear!"
he cups your face, "listen, the fact that you made it for me will make it the most delicious one ever; I know it!"
"I made kikufuku," you mumble and satoru dashes towards the plate and quickly takes a bite. he hums, closing his eyes to truly assess it. dramatic loser.
"it's not that bad!" he says, taking another bite—call it making sure I guess, "it's a tad bit dry, but after a couple tries, I think you will make kikufuku on par with the ones in sendai!"
he grins before stomaching the rest of the plate, "is there more?"
you shake your head and satoru gets his handy-dany catoru apron, but not before pressing a kiss to your cheek, "then let's make them together!"
GETO SUGURU:
"hey, honey, what is this?"
you quickly try to cover the plate, "it's nothing! don't mind it. it's just a...random plate."
"a random plate," he smiles, "that why you're trying to cover it?"
you sigh in defeat, knowing that even if you come up with a tons of excuses, he will quickly find loopholes in them. you swear that this man knows you far too well.
he chuckles before pressing a kiss to your forehead.
"so what is it?” he says as his arm wraps around your waist.
"a failure," you mumble as you hug him and bury your face in his chest.
he hums as he pats your head, "I asked what it is not what you think it is, sweetheart."
"soba," you murmur, sadly. he lifts up your chin and quirks an eyebrow and you repeat yourself, clearer, "soba."
truthfully, it looks like one really sad plate of soba, but you really put a lot of hardwork in it; he can see that, especially in the presentation. the soba itself does look pretty soggy, but he would be damned if he let your hardwork go to waste.
"I am eating it," he decides as he gets out his chopsticks and prepares to dig in.
you grab his wrist, "no! you don't have to do that!" you smile, "we can just order; it's okay!"
he presses a kiss to your lips, "I want to eat the food you made."
"even if it isn't good?"
"even if you think it isn't good," he then gladly starts slurping the soba. turns out, it's not as bad as it looks. could be better, but it's edible so he continues eating and you're already ordering a ton of dessert and already-made soba.
"y/n, I like it!"
"don't lie."
"but I really do!"
ITADORI YUUJI:
something really sweet yuuji likes to do for you is to cook for you. whether it's his famous meatballs or some other dish he knows you like, he makes it for you with the biggest smile on his face.
you thought that it's time to repay his kindness. you were a decent cook, not the best, but you made things that were at least edible.
so, after trying your utmost best, you have finally finished the bowl of rice along with some of his favorite toppings.
"y/n! y/n! y/n! I am here!" you hear him yelling. voice booming with excitement as he wraps his arms around you in a very big hug, "I missed you so much!
you kiss his cheek, "I missed you too and—sukuna, your ass better not come out today or I will kick your ass."
"like you could do anything, you filthy woman—" you throw a ghost pepper at his mouth. sukuna's eyes widen before he disappears from yuuji 's cheek.
yuuji starts laughing, "you have no idea how much he is cussing right now!"
you shrug and hold his hand, dragging him to the to the kitchen, "ta-dah! I made you your favorite food!"
he beams, pressing a kiss to your cheek, "thank you so much, babe! it means the world to me!" he takes a hold of the bowl and starts eating before pausing.
"...is it that bad?"
he quickly shakes his head quickly, "no! I like it!" he continues eating and you know that he won't tell you the negative things about the dish.
he is just too sweet for his own good.
"yuuji."
he keeps eating.
"yuuji, please, you don't have to do this."
the champ still keeps on eating.
you sigh, "I am getting the meds, just in case."
FUSHIGURO MEGUMI:
"soooo I cooked something."
and megumi has to hold back any reaction as he remembers the first time, you two were in the kitchen. you somehow, someway, managed to burn butter and he was convinced he was going to die at that moment.
eh, at least you were by his side, screaming your head off, but with him nonetheless.
that was in the past though so he has to focus on the present and his job as a boyfriend to be supportive, "mhm, and what did you make?"
"grilled chicken with ginger!" you beam and he feels his heart squeeze just a little. you always remembered details about him and he does his best to keep everything you say in mind.
he smiles, albeit small, "thank you," he instantly takes a seat in front of the plate.
his expectations are not high, but he appreciates the effort you went through to make him this.
he nods at you, gratefully once again, before starting to eat. after a few bites, he stops to look at you, "did you mix up salt and sugar, again?"
you gasp, "what?! no way!" you quickly snatch the fork and take a bite yourself before frowning and dramatically falling to the ground, "I really did..."
you bury your face in your knees as you hug them closer, "I am sorry, megumi; I wanted to cook something for you and I ended up messing up."
he sits down in front of you, taking your hands into his own so he could see your face, "y/n, it's enough for me that you did all of this for me."
you shake your head in disappointment, "but I messed up."
"but you still made something," he rests his forehead on your own, "that's enough, I promise you. just...let's keep cooking when we're both around."

Requested by @haocovr: Imagine being a doctor at Chicago Med and in love with Ethan Choi
"Good morning Dr. Choi." You greeted as you walked into Med. Ethan was already moving around quickly and reading over a chart in his hand.
"Morning Dr.[Y/N]." He smiled at you quickly before ducking into Trauma 2 to check on his patient.
You smiled back, even though he wasn't looking. It was such a small thing but his greeting was the best part of your morning.
Maggie approached you, a knowing smile and no chart to be seen.
"What are you looking at me like that for?" You asked, even though with Maggie you knew there was no point in trying to deny what she was seeing. She saw everything and that included seeing right through your innocent façade.
"You know exactly why." She said. "You've got to make your move. Go for it, be assertive."
"Maggie," you sighed, "he probably doesn't even-"
"Feel the same?" She interrupted. "You both have comedically bad timing. Every time one of you does something cute, the other blushes but you look away so you just don't see it. He likes you. He's probably afraid to admit it, but he does. So, talk to him. Tell him how you feel."
You looked at her. She was so confident in her assessment and you trusted her judgement on about a million other things, but you struggled to believe her here. Ethan? Liked you too? It just seemed so unlikely.
You went through the day, having only brief interactions with Ethan but each time you swore Maggie lingered around just to see if you would commit. Of course, when discussing patient care, especially in front of a patient, there weren't many opportunities for the topic to come up.
Finally, your day was wrapping up and wouldn't you know it, so was Ethan's. You were on your way to grab your things when Maggie caught your eye and gave you a look and a pushing hand motion followed by a heart. You weren't sure whether to roll your eyes or blush.
Ethan was gathering his things as well when you walked in.
"Long day?" He asked.
"I've certainly had longer. How about you?"
"Not bad, all things considered." He paused. "What are you doing tonight, got any plans?"
"Nothing yet. Why do you ask?" You asked. Ethan always seemed so confident and you really hoped he would make the first move. Maggie's pep talk had helped but you were still uncertain.
Was that a blush on Ethan's face? No, surely you were just imagining it. Ethan didn't blush. Sometimes he would smile and look away but he wasn't the blushing kind. Not that you'd watched his reactions that closely before.
"Curiosity." He finally answered simply.
"Ah." You said, disappointed but trying to hide it. You took your coat and wallet from their places and got ready to leave quietly. You considered walking out the door without saying anything else but Maggie's voice in your head told you not to.
"Do you want to go to Molly's?" You suggested, turning from the door to look at Ethan. He looked surprised at first but then smiled.
"I would like that a lot."
So, the two of you headed to the bar, greeting the firefighters as you sat at a table to give yourselves some more space to talk.
And talk you did. It was a little awkward at first, Ethan was not naturally much of a small talker and you didn't want to dive in too heavy right from the start. But from a bit of work chat, you got to spin off onto some tangents and exchange stories that had you sitting on the edge of your seat to almost doubling over laughing.
After a couple beers, Ethan finally asked you the question you'd been worried about.
"So, what made you invite me to Molly's tonight?" He asked. He certainly hadn't minded the invitation at all and he loved talking to you, but it had been a bit of a surprise.
You hesitated, unsure of how much of your feelings you wanted to lead with.
"Maggie suggested I ask actually. She thought it might be good for us to hang out."
Ethan raised an eyebrow and tried to suppress a smile.
"Funny. She told me a similar thing today."
"Oh did she?" You asked, now raising your own eyebrow. She had played you both like a fiddle. "What exactly did she tell you?"
Ethan studied you for a moment. His face was handsome you thought as he focused on your eyes.
"She told me that I needed to stop missing my moment and take the dive."
"Maggie used the phrase 'take the dive?' Huh." You mused before processing the more important part of what Ethan had been saying. "What moment was she worried about?"
You wanted to believe it would be a romantic moment and everything was leading you there. Your stomach was in your throat and you knew it would just plummet if he said it was purely platonic.
"Apparently I haven't been as subtle about how I feel as I thought. She said you weren't subtle either, I was just not looking hard enough."
How he felt. You felt a warmth in your chest as you could relax now.
"Maggie was rather confident you liked me. And she read me like a book too."
Ethan laughed and he was able to relax again.
"So, you have feelings for me too?" He confirmed.
"I like you, I really do."
You both smiled. How could you not?

Compass Of Pirates - Nikolai Lantsov
Summary: Nikolai is given a compass that he was told would solve all his problems, and yet he cannot figure out why it doesn't seem to work. Yes, I am merging with Pirates Of The Caribbean because I fucking can.
Content Warnings: No Beta/Proof Reading.

The brass points across the centre of the compass are centred by a sundial, which as far as Sturmhond can tell is the most functional part of the compass. He holds the compass in the clutch of his palm, staring at the red arrow as it gently swings between two points, neither of which are north. He had picked it up from someone in one of the markets in the last port they docked in. It was this rocky, mountainous island, just off the northern coast of the mainland. The name of the port escapes the captains mind, but it was some fishing port with a name not unlike a weapon of some kind. But that isn't really important, what is important is the illusion of help this compass had been acquired under. "It will bring you to what you most desire," they had said, "the compass never leads you wrong." He had been dubious but nevertheless he has hope he isn't sure he has a right to, and yet he was finding the outcome very disappointing.
"This thing doesn't even point north," Sturmhond says, staring again at the compass in his hand. Mal shrugs, offering out his open hand.
"May I?" he asks. He hands it over, without pause and the dial spins to quickly into a new direction the moment it touches Mal's palm. Mal watches the dial and follows it's direction. He knows exactly what the privateer has observed, that this compass does not point north, but instead it is now pointing at Alina, who is leaning over the edge of the ship, staring at the way the waves are breaking onto the boats side, creating the white foam of sea spray and she is smiling like she has never seen the ocean before. "Oh, Sturmhond," Mal says, "it points north alright," he chuckles, "true north."
The Captain frowns. "True north?" he questions, staring the tracker down. "What kind of navigational system are you working on Oretsev?"
"The only one that hasn't ever lead me wrong," he hands the compass back to Sturmhond and the moment it enters his hand it changes direction back to where it had been previously pointing. Mal taps the fabric of his shirt, directly over his heart. "I told Alina about true north once, she asked me what scared me most, and I told her I get the most scared when I am lost, but I don't really get lost. Yet, getting lost happens even if you know where you are sometimes. So I told her about cardinal north and true north."
"Cardinal north is a direction on a map," Sturmhond says. Mal nods, not letting his eyes leave the Sun Summoner. "So, as for true north?"
"True north is home," Mal says, sounding more like a poet than a tracker, "it is where you feel safe and loved."
"Miss Starkov is your truth north," Sturmhond says with a nod. Mal doesn't even need to respond to that. "So you think this compass points to what exactly?"
"Whatever you most desire, that's what the translation says on the side isn't it?" Mal says, finally looking at him. "You did see that, didn't you? Since you're always six steps ahead of everything, and ever so flawless Captain?"
He is too eager to test the theory to even care about Mal's teasing of him. He just thanks him absentmindedly and follows the compass forward. "Don't walk off the edge of the ship," Mal calls after him, "or do..."
He spends a good while walking the length of the decking, trying to figure out why the dial spins into a change of direction, seemingly without link. "Maybe you don't know what you want," Mal teases, observing him.
"Doesn't this interest you?" Sturmhond asks, running a hand through his tousled hair.
Mal shrugs. "What use is a compass what would be pointing right beside me all of the time?" he asks. "Besides my heart always brings me back to her."
"You're good with your words when it suits you, aren't you?" Tamar asks, coming to stand beside Mal, bored of her card game and far more interested in whatever it is that has gotten the Captain all pacing and flustered. "Still staring at the broken compass?"
"It's not broken," Mal says, "it's just not helpful."
"A compass's only purpose is to point north, and it doesn't, so it's broken," Tamar argues.
"It's a heart compass, not a compass," Mal says. The Heartrender laughs.
"Those are legend," she says, taking some walnuts from her pocket to snack on. She offers him one and he shakes his head to dismiss the offer.
"Wasn't the Stag legend too?" Mal retorts. Tamar gives him a shrug.
"That means nothing of all legend," is her response, but she keeps watching Sturmhond.
"It doesn't even make sense," he says finally holding the compass up and above his head to see how the dial moves. "It's not pointing to anything, I thought it might've been pointing to Ravka but I was wrong."
"You're suggesting your truest love is a country?" Mal asks, "what kind of excessive patriotism is that?"
"You're not patriotic?" Tamar asks, her tone littered with laughter.
"No," he admits, not feeling pulled down by the admission, "I came here for Alina. She's my flag, my nation, she is the one thing I remain loyal to."
Tamar's question was to sway Mal from paying too much attention to the captains words, but he doesn't throw her a look of gratitude, instead he returns to his fixation on the compass, as it spins to point towards the ships bow. Some of the crew start to appear on deck, changing placement as the time passes, and Tolya walks beside you, as you tell him something out of their earshot.
He takes his eyes off the compass, staring directly at you, forgetting what his original intentions had been, he offers you a smile and you grin back, all teeth and cheer. Even after the days at sea nothing seemed to sway your mood.
Tamar elbows Mal in the side and before her can take issue with it, she nods his attention to Sturmhond, who has lost interest in the compass altogether in your presence.
"Got it working yet?" you ask, coming closer to the three of them Tolya by your side.
"Think it might be a lost cause," the privateer admits, holding the compass down and to his side, as if to hide it's direction from those around you.
"Come on, Captain, plenty have said that about broken things, but often you just need time or the right pair of hands," you say, "show me?"
He hesitates and Mal and Tamar share a look, a look that spreads into matching grins. "Oh, he is not as smart as he gives himself credit for," Mal says in hushed words.
"Most of the time he is, but any heart can get blind sighted, and when the heart is blind, the mind can fog," Tamar says, voice equally low.
You look at him and he is smiling at you like you're a sunrise, like he is seeing you for the first time, and you wonder how he always manages to look at you like this. Look at you in a way that makes your head spin and your stomach twist. You know Sturmhond, and you know the man can flirt like second nature, that no one you've yet to meet have been susceptible to his charms, so you try not to let go to your head. But that's not easy when he looks at you like he has just discovered what love is for the very first time.
He holds out the compass out and you look at it, not reaching to take it from his hands, you move around to his perspective for the dial to swing back in your direction. You lean around him, to get a better look and then stare out at the ocean. But he just watches you, not as much are daring to confirm what he suspects by glancing to the compass.
You move back in front of him, and the dial points to you, and you turn your head to look at the big blue expanse behind. "Compass doesn't know north that's for sure," you say, giving him a wild smile and a shrug. "But I guess it's no better than most of us in that."
"It doesn't know north," he agrees, shoving the compass back in his pocket, "but it seems to know things I should have before now."
"Hmm?" you ask, turning back to him from the waves.
"Nothing, now, tell me, what was so funny?"

Been thinking about Rodimus being summoned to Ultra Magnus' office. There was no official purpose stated in the request for Rodimus' presence, so really he has no idea what the meeting is for. He just turns up anyway, all big grin and 'hey Mags' as usual
Magnus greets his captain and invites him to sit down. He even clears his vocaliser and takes a moment to restraighten his name plate on the desk. Okay... this seems serious enough. Roddy isn't bothered tho. Everything is serious with Magnus anyway.
Or at least until Magnus finally says, "Captain. I have called you here for... disciplinary matters. Off the record." Ohhh then Rodimus perks up.
Off the record? Oh he likes where this is going. He crosses his long legs and places his servos on his knee in his best good boy pose. His finials wiggle slightly in anticipation.
"It has come to my repeated attention that-"
Magnus continues talking, but Rodimus isn't listening. His optics are transfixed on the other's lips, undoubtedly saying something about rules and citing the autobot code or whatever, and his huge servos being raised to gesture every so often.
Off the record... he can only imagine where this is going. Roddy has dreamed about this enough to know where this is going. Of course Magnus would finally crack and punish him personally.... off the books... in his own special and intimate way... The captain wiggles in his seat in excitement.
"As such, you leave me no other choice, captain." Magnus finally stands and leans forward. With his servos on the desk, he leans over until his faceplate is mere inches from Rodimus'. Rodimus feels his plating heat up.
This is it. Is Magnus going to kiss him? Hit him? Grab him and drag him onto the desk?? Rodimus can feel his spark spinning wildly in his chest as he swallows and tries to control his fans.
He really hopes it's the last option.
A heavy servo suddenly grabs Rodimus by the shoulder and he thinks he whines a little. His plating under Magnus' servo is definitely hot now. As much as he tries to override them manually, he can hear his fans kick into a higher setting as Magnus hauls his captain onto his pedes.
He's thought about this so many times. He's fantasised about Magnus' strength, how he could lift Rodimus like he weighed nothing, hold him and manipulate him to do whatever he wants-
They're both standing now. Magnus' servo on Roddy's shoulder might as well be the only thing holding him up. Rodimus' knees feel like soft energon treats, ready to buckle at any moment as soon as Magnus makes his move.
"I'm putting you on washrack cleaning duty for 2 weeks."
And then Roddy's lines run cold.
What?
His processor fails to, well, process anything for a good moment as he feels Magnus march them out the door.
Hes being put on what?
Theyre all the way at washracks by the time Rodimus manages to blurt out "You're- you're not gonna, like, spank me or frag me on your desk or something?"
Magnus just stares at him like he's suddenly grown a third optic or something, before he sighs and hands the cleaning supplies to his captain.
Roddy tries, by the way. He tries holding the bucket full of sponges and cloths and cleaning solvents up under his chin and giving Magnus his best, biggest, wettest sad optics.
It doesn't work.
Hard cut to Roddy sadly scrubbing the sink he keeps making a mess off and being sad about the cleanser being so harsh that it makes the paint on his fingers peel
Rodimus has watched too much porn... That's not how real life works, silly.
Of course, that doesn't stop him from being horribly disappointed and pissy for the next couple of months...

Alice's Wonderland
Tumblr media
Android girl Alice doesn't feel like she gets enough time with her boyfriend, Hunter. Fortunately, she's got just the plan to make sure he stays with her forever, and to make him a cute girl, too.
This story contains sexually explicit content. It is intended only for legal adults ages 18 and up.
It also contains hard kinks, nonconsent, violence, brainwashing, and forcefemme. You Have Been Warned, do not complain to me.
Hunter woke to a knocking on his door. The fierce RATATATAT startling him out of a dream about getting caught in a thunderstorm back in Iowa City.
RATATATATATAT!
He opened his eyes, It was still dark outside. He fumbled on the nightstand for his phone. 03:32. He’d been asleep barely an hour.
“HUNNNTER! SWEETIE!” came a bright synthetic voice from the door of his studio apartment, “I HAVE A SURPRIIIISE FOR YOUUUUUUU!”
It was Alice, a synth girl he’d been dating for a few weeks. Still groggy after being yanked out of REM sleep so recently, Hunter got to his feet, threw on a pair of boxers, and opened the door.
On the sidewalk outside stood an android girl, a shade under 2 meters tall, with gunmetal gray skin and blaze orange filament hair. Her eyes wide, a bright, neon green-yellow.
“Alice,” Hunter said, squinting as his eyes adjusted to the bright light of hers, “do you know what time it is?”
“It’s 11:34:12 UTC!” she said, full of cheer, as ever.
“Yeah but we’re not in UTC, babe,” he said, “we’re in Pacific daylight time, and it’s 330 in the morning.”
“I’m sorry!” her face fell into an expression of passive disappointment, “I just really really really wanted to show you something and waiting until morning felt like it would be forever and I couldn’t get myself to stay in standby mode so I decided I’d take a walk over here and get you so I could show you right now because I’m just so excited to see you and-”
“Hey, Chippy,” Hunter cut her off, “Chippy, dear, you are talking way too fast.”
She took a deep breath. If he’d been more awake, Hunter might have marveled that Arlington Robotics had programmed her with such a human behavior. As it was, he was just happy she’d stopped talking for a moment.
“Hunter,” she said, deliberately, but without hesitation, “I would like to show you a project I’ve been working on.”
“It can absolutely wait until morning, hon.”
“No! It can’t! There isn’t time!”
“Look,” he clutched his face in frustration, “I cannot just boot myself up like you can on a moment’s notice. I was up til 2:30. I need to sleep! I had a long shift today.” He paused to take in her face, her expression slowly shifting from excitement to disappointment. He felt a small twinge of guilt for a moment, but only a moment, before he continued. “I really, really need to sleep. I’ll be over first thing tomorrow. I promise, Chips.” He smiled and placed a hand on her shoulder, the smooth silicone skin neither warm, nor cool to the touch.
“No,” She said, the bright voice suddenly stern “I’m taking you now.”
She moved with a speed and precision no human could hope to match. Hunter felt himself spin around. One hand came up and firmly clasped itself over his mouth, the other reached up behind his legs, and just like that, she was carrying him in her arms as if he were a bride. He kicked and writhed and tried to scream but Alice was so strong.
“Stop that!” she whispered, “Stop it! The neighbors will hear!”
Well of course they would, that’s what he wanted. He wanted this insane robot to put him down and he wanted to run back inside his apartment and he wanted to hide in the bathroom with a hammer and pray that the doors held so he didn’t have to fight her. He tried to work his way out of her grip, kicking, flailing, biting.
He managed to chew a chunk of silicone out of her hand, and she screamed “HEY! That hurt!” She took her hand away from his mouth and Hunter took in a breath to scream, but right before he could let it out, Alice said something he couldn’t quite hear, but sound like “see way,” and the back of his head erupted in pain. He blacked out.
***
Hunter tried to roll over onto his side, but something was catching his wrists and ankles. His head felt just like it did the morning after his senior prom all those years ago.
“Oh! Are you awake?” Alice’s voice. The fight, a blow to the head. Slowly, Hunter opened his eyes.
The first thing he saw was a drop panel ceiling with antique fluorescent tube lights. The lights were off, but the room was bathed in a warm glow. Sunrise. He looked at his wrists and found that he was shackled to a metal table.
“I was worried I’d hit you too hard.” To his right, Alice was standing near curtained windows flanking a frosted glass door. Her voice was bright and bubbly again. “This is my shop! I live upstairs.” The room was about 5 meters wide and maybe three times as long. Synth parts and repair tools lined the walls. To his left, at the back of the room, was a computer terminal and a list of basic services with appropriate pricing.
“What’s going on, Alice?” he asked, his words slurred. He thought he probably had a concussion.
“Well,” She began, with the air of someone about to spring the most incredible birthday surprise. “I figured out a way that we never have to be apart again!” She raised her arms in the air as she said this, like a cheerleader.
“What are you talking about?” he tried to turn towards her, but found that he could only move his head an inch or so.
“See, you’re a human.”
“Uh, yeah.” He didn’t like where this was going
“And I’m a synth.”
“Yeaaaah?”
“And that means that we can’t spend much time together,” she started pacing, waving her hands as she spoke, “You’re always sleeping and eating and going to the bathroom. We never have time to just hang out, you know?”
“Chips, I think you ought to run a full diagnostic.”
“I. AM. FINE.” Her usually soft yellow eyes turned an angry red and her voice became distorted. He heard her cooling fans spin up rapidly. After a moment they slowed back down and her eyes faded back to yellow. “But you’re not.”
“What do you mean by that?”
“You’re limited. You’re biological. But I can make you better.”
“Wait are you-” She walked into his view and stood over to him, holding what was, unmistakably, a buzzsaw.
“I’m going to turn you into a synth, Hunter. Right here, right now. Don’t worry! It won’t hurt too much.”
Fear gripped Hunter. He felt his heart race and his chest grow cold, like someone had poured ice water into a funnel above his sternum. He felt the adrenaline leak slowly down his arms to his fingers.
“Please don’t do this, Alice.”
“Why not? Don’t you like me?”
“I do, but-”
“THEN WHY,” she yelled, eyes red once more, “DO YOU KEEP AVOIDING ME?”
She’s glitched out. Hunter thought, She’s glitched out and she’s going to kill me.
“I haven’t been avoiding you!” he said
“That’s bullshit, Hunter!” She practically spat it at him, “You’re always saying ‘ohhhh I have to go to wooorrrrk’, ‘ohhhh I have to see my moooooom, ohhhh, I have to sleep!’ but I know you’re lying! You’re seeing someone else!”
“No, I’m not!” he wasn’t, he had no idea what she was talking about, “I promise.”
“Well, once I get your memory engrams scanned we’ll see about that. But that’s for later. Right now,” she grabbed something off a table above his head, “It’s time for a little nap.” She was holding a breathing mask.
“Please,” she said, in her most friendly medical assistant voice, “do not resist.”
He tried to move his head away, to hold his breath, to fight back, but it was useless as he struggled against the restraints. Eventually, he had to breath. It smelled like a leaky air conditioner. But he felt strangely wonderful, peaceful. Like he was resting on the world’s most comfortable mattress.
***
His waking this time was quite sudden, and complete. Hunter was fully aware of being awake, but he couldn’t see anything, even when he opened his eyes. He tried to move his fingers but found he couldn’t even feel them. He couldn’t smell anything either. In fact it felt as if all of his senses had been turned off.
Except, apparently, his hearing, “Oh good! It worked!” Alice’s voice again. Terror gripped him but this time, for some curious reason, Hunter didn’t feel the ice water flowing over his chest and to his fingertips.
“One second, dear.” she said. He tried to speak, but he couldn’t seem to grasp the air in his chest.
Suddenly his vision was dazzlingly bright. It was like staring into the sun itself. After a moment his eyes adjusted and he realized that he had, indeed, been staring directly at the sun as it shone in through the window at the front of the shop. He heard the idle drone of a bus roll by.
“This is good,” He heard Alice say. He couldn’t move his head, but he found that he could move his eyes. His gaze wandered across the room for a moment before locking on Alice, standing in front of something that should have been impossible.
Alice was standing in front of the table he’d been laying on before.
“Oh honey!” she said, her eyes dancing with happiness, “It worked! The procedure worked!” She stepped to the side and Hunter finally realized what she had done. He was still on the table. His head had been cut open, his brown hair was slick with his blood. A bowl-shaped piece of skull sat to the side. The mask was still on his face.
Alice was over by him now. The him that could see, but not speak or move or run or fight.
“All brain case functions are nominal.” He felt himself rise as Alice picked whatever was left of him off the table. “The next step,” she said, “is to build your new body!” she delivered the news as if they were going to do makeovers at a slumber party.
Hunter felt nauseous. A curious sensation now that he no longer had a digestive tract.
“Oh,” He heard her say, “I should turn your vocal synthesizer on,” She pressed something in what felt like the side of his head.
“WHAT THE FUCK?” he screamed, but the voice that came out was not familiar to him. It was lighter, smokier, feminine.
“What? Change my voice back. CHANGE MY VOICE BACK.”
“Oh, darling, I think it’s cute!” Alice said, giggling, “Hey, would you like to see what you look like now?”
“No!” he cried, the voice of a college girl, not a man, “I don’t want to see whatever fucked up thing you’ve done to me!”
But she was already moving him. He watched as his vision swept over the room, past his now-severed body, and towards a mirror. He saw Alice, and in her hands he saw a round steel box with two synthetic eyes on the front, an array of ports along the back and bottom. Him. His brain case.
“I built it myself,” Alice said, proud of her ingenuity, “I modeled it after an Arlington system I saw back at the factory.”
She turned him towards her, fixing her gaze on his. “Oh, my love,” she said, “I’m so excited!”
“What is wrong with you?” Hunter said, in that awful feminine voice, “Run a system checksum, reboot into safe mode, something!”
“Oh no, honey,” she said, her voice soft and dangerous, “I don’t need to do that. I’m functioning just fine.”
She put him down on a counter, facing the wall, pressed a few buttons on his side, and he drifted off to sleep again.
***
Waking was, again, instantaneous. This time, Hunter could feel he had a body again. It felt strangely incomplete, as if part of it was missing. He opened his eyes. He was strapped to a nearly vertical surface now, and able to move his head somewhat. Still in the main room of Alice’s cybernetics shop. He looked to the table where his body had been, but it was gone.
“I tossed it into the matter recombinator,” He heard Alice say off to his left. He turned his head to see her standing over some sort of electronic device.
“You know they scan the waste stream for human biomass,” he said. The voice wasn’t so bad, he thought, “They’ll know you did something to me.”
“Oh,” Alice chuckled, “don’t worry about that, I learned to spoof those sensors a while ago.”
She picked up the object she’d been working on. It was roughly the size of a brick, with synthetic skin on one of the small ends, an array of pins on the other.
“I was just putting the finishing touches on this,” She said, an impish grin on her face.
“What is it?” Hunter asked.
“Oh,” Alice said, coyly, “I think it’s better if I demonstrate.”
She dropped to her knees in front of him and grabbed something near his waist. He looked down, but he couldn’t see her over his...”YOU GAVE ME TITS?”
Alice giggled madly, “Yes! Isn’t it great? You’re going to be the prettiest synth girl in Cascadia!”
“I’m not a girl!” Hunter said, in his girlish voice, “I’m a man. I’m a MAN!” he felt like he might cry.
“There there,” Alice stood up for a moment, and gently touched his face, “it’s okay dear, you’ll get used to this, I promise.”
She pushed upwards on his crotch and he felt something click into place in his chassis.
“Now,” Alice said, her voice quiet and seductive, “Do you want to see what a girl feels like?”
He didn’t understand at first, but then he felt Alice’s hand glide across his groin.
“How do you like your new pussy?” she asked. She didn’t wait for a response before pushing in and slowly rubbing her hand around Hunter’s new clit. His head felt so warm, so hot.
“N-no,” Hunter said, moaning, he didn’t want it to feel good, “s-s-stop”
“We’ll need to come up with a new name for you,” Alice cooed into his ear, “won’t we?”
“My...name,” it was so hard to think while Alice was stroking his pussy, “is...Hunter.”
“No,” she said, “that won’t do.” Her fingers sped up. It was like she was trying to melt his brain away. This felt so good. It felt so much better than-
No, it didn’t. He wouldn’t let it.
“Hmm,” he heard Alice say, but it was hard to concentrate with her rubbing his clit, “How about...Jessie?”
“Hnnnn,” Hunter couldn’t think enough to form a sentence, “aaaAHHHHHHHH,” was all that came out when he tried.
It was like a wall of electricity was pressing up against his insides. A pressure sparking and ready to explode at any moment.
“Awww, what’s that, Jessie?” Alice said, “Cat got your tongue?”
The dam broke. The ball of electricity in Hunter’s abdomen exploded, he felt himself convulsing, fluid spilling out of his crotch, “Oh wow!” he heard Alice say, “You’re quite a squirter! I like that.” It felt so good. She felt so good. Hunter/Jessie loved the way Alice’s silicone finger tips traced across their clitoris, drawing lines in their labia. As the waves of pleasure faded, they began to relax in the restraints.
“Wow!” Alice was overjoyed, “and I didn’t even get inside your pussy yet.”
Alice didn’t need to hit any buttons, Hunter drifted off to sleep all on their own.

“What is your name, dear.”
“My name is Jessie.”
Jessie had only been asleep for a couple of hours. But she’d had the most wonderful dreams. She was with Alice as the both floated through space, looking down at Earth and up at the Moon. The stars were all so bright and shining. She could see the infrared and the ultraviolet and the faint specks of gamma rays coming from distant galaxies. It was all she needed to clear her head.
“Good morning!” Alice said, cheerfully, “Are you feeling any better?”
“Yes, dear.” Jessie smiled, “Thank you for this body.”
“You changed your mind quickly, didn’t you?”
“Well,” Jessie thought for a moment, “I don’t know, it just feels better than it did before. Being a human guy just seems...less attractive now.”
“I’m so glad. I was worried you’d never come around.”
“It’s okay, hon.” Jessie said, gently “I’m just happy you love me enough to make me like you.”
“Thank you, dear, for understanding why I had to.”
Jessie grabbed Alice by the waist and pulled her close, kissing her. The feel of their silicone lips meeting was sublime, better than any sensation that Jessie had ever felt in her old body.
“Hey, Jessie,” Alice stepped back, “I have one more thing to share with you.”
Alice walked over to a shelf and grabbed a small object. She walked back and Jessie saw what it was. A cock.
Alice pressed it up into her own groin, clicking it into place. “Wanna try me?” she said, playfully.
Jessie did. She knelt down and began kissing Alice’s cock. Its cool skin slipping over her tongue and between her lips. She bobbed up and down on it, looking up occasionally at Alice, who moaned in pleasure. Jessie could feel Alice getting hard in her mouth. After a time, Alice gently pushed her head back. “Stand up,” she said to Jessie.
Jessie obeyed, and Alice grabbed her by the shoulders and slammed her up against the wall. Jessie wanted this. She wanted it so badly. She wanted Alice to take her and fuck her and own her.
“Are you ready, Jessie?”
“Please.”
Alice reached down to spread Jessie’s pussy open, teasing it with the head of her cock. Almost slipping it in, but pulling back every time.
“Pleaaaase please please stick it in me,” Jessie whined, “Please I want it so bad.”
Jessie gasped as Alice pushed her cock all the way into Jessie’s new cunt. Nothing in the world ever felt so right. Alice began to fuck her, slowly at first, taking what seemed like forever to slide in and out. Jessie couldn’t help but buck her hips.
“Oh, someone’s a naughty girl.” Alice said with a grin, “Keep doing that. I like that.”
Jessie obliged. Alice began to speed up, thumping herself all the way to the base, her balls slapping against Jessie’s lips. Jessie began to moan.
Alice grabbed Jessie around the waist and, without pausing her hips, lifted Jessie up off the ground and away from the wall. Jessie wrapped her legs around Alice’s waist. This was all Alice now.
She’s so fucking hot, Jessie thought, I love the way her cock slams inside me.
Alice started speeding up, using her hips and her arms to bounce Jessie on her cock. She wasn’t so much fucking Jessie as masturbating with her. Jessie couldn’t think of anything hotter. I’m just her toy, she thought, this is all I ever wanted.
“God, Jess,” Alice said, grunting as much as speaking, “Your pussy is so good. I designed it so good.”
“Yes you did.” Jessie replied, “Your cock feels amazing.”
“I wanna cum inside you babe”
“Then cum inside me, Alice, dear.”
Alice began to move her hips faster, and faster, and faster. Her eyes started to glaze over, a bit of drool collected at the corner of her mouth.
“Jessie,” she said.
“Yeah?”
“I’m gonna cum.”
“Me too.”
“Watch this.”
Alice touched the side of Jessie’s face and suddenly Jessie could feel both of their bodies from both sides. She could feel their pussy taking their cock, she could feel the buildup of pleasure about ready to break free from both of their bodies, and then.
Supernova. Alice came hard, crying out in pleasure, pumping Jessie’s cunt full of her cum. Jessie’s pussy bore down on itself, convulsing to bring itself as close as it could to Alice’s cock. The pleasure obliterated every conscious thought in the minds of both androids. A white-hot flash of sensation and joy that burned for what felt like an eternity.
Alice gently began to slow her hips as the last aftershocks of orgasm bounced off the walls of her and her partner. Jessie was limp in her grasp. Neither girl was quite certain where they ended and the other began.
Both slumped to the floor, their fans running at max speed.
“Jessie?”
“Alice?”
“You were wonderful.”
“Thank you dear.”
“I’m so glad I made you.”
“I’m so glad you made me.”
The androids embraced, then sat in silence for a time. Finally, Jessie spoke up.
“Alice?”
“Yes, dear?”
“I wanna be with you forever.”
Alice smiled.

2023 Fall Anime
This is honestly a loaded season full of new shows based on relatively new manga. Lots to look forward to
Tumblr media
Spy x Family - Season 2 One of the most fun SJ series that have come out in a while. Season 1 was killer, high hopes for season 2.
Tumblr media
Goblin Slayer 2 I didn't realize they were even making a second season. This was such a killer series. I'm really hoping they don't fall into the many mid-tier fantasy tropes out there in anime right now. I thought the appeal of the show was really Goblin Slayer himself and less about the lackeys along the way. So we'll see how it goes.
Tumblr media
Frieren: Beyond Journey's End This is definitely one of my highly anticipated series. It's about an elf who was part of the Hero's party and her life after he dies. (Since elves live longer) Definitely a darker take on fantasy but has some really solid fantasy and adventure vibes.
Tumblr media
Rising of the Shield Hero - Season 3 Season 2 was pretty disappointing and slow. While this looks like it'll be more fast paced, it does look like a tournament arc of sorts. I know some aren't a fan of that kind of arc, but honestly I think it's exactly what this series needs to pick things up again. We'll see.
Tumblr media
The Faraway Paladin - Season 2 This was legitimately one of my favourite fantasy series. I thought it was really well written and didn't rush things like other series. I'm looking forward to this season.
Sequels/Continuations: Eminence in Shadow - Season 2 killer series with an anti-hero main character. Definitely worth checking out. After-School Hanako-Kun Hanako-kun spin off Dr. Stone Season 3 - Part 2 One of the best novel concept series with nothing else in it's genre to compare to. Definitely didn't drop the ball on the recent seasons and still worth watching. Dead Mount Death Play - Part 2 One that I didn't particularly enjoy, but has a decent sized manga following. Tokyo Revengers - Tenjiku Arc The continuation of the series. Might be just me but it feels like the series fell off after the first season. The Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent - Season 2 A more mature take on fantasy isekai that just started to get into romance at the end of last season. A solid combo of shoujo genres. The Ancient Magus' Bride - Season 2 Part 2 One that I haven't had a change to check out yet but have only heard good things about. Hypnosismic - Season 2 a weirdly addictive musical/rap series. Unique characters and honestly solid rap battles. One I'll be enjoying. -- Related - Paradox Live - Music battle with what looks to be the same style of animation and solid character design. Definitely worth looking at if you're a fan of Hypmic. The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse A sequel of SDS. Looks like it could be a fun watch for the fans of the series. New:
Tumblr media
Shangri La Frontier A new manga fantasy series. This may be a horrible way to describe but it is what it is - a new age SAO- full dive fantasy game. A gamer who only plays shit games, gets into a new massively popular MMORPG and is op. One that I'm excited for because it ticks all the fantasy game boxes I like.
Tumblr media
Undead Unluck A relatively new manga series that gained a lot of traction in the last year or two. A gory action comedy that's super chaotic and a lot of fun.
Tumblr media
Shy Brand new hero manga series about a shy girl and her anxieties and struggles going into the hero world who grows and gains confidence as she becomes a better hero.
Tumblr media
Ron Kamonohashi's Forbidden Deductions This is a manga series that I have kept forgetting the name of so never got a chance to read but all the covers for the manga look phenomenal. Likely the anime doesn't do him justice but it is what it is. Essentially sherlock in anime form. A PI with issues and the wholesome police detective work together to solve crime. Other New Series: Green - Fantasy Pink - Romance Red - Action Purple - Drama The Kingdoms of Ruins A world where witches were hunted down by humans as science surpassed magic. A kid who was raised by a witch swears revenge on mankind. This honestly looks solid. The animations are very cool looking and the mc seems to be an anti-hero. Will be looking at this one. Under Ninja A well known manga series about modern ninjas. Definitely a unique series for this season. The Apothecary Diaries A historical medical mystery show. I've heard the name before and I've also only heard good things. Will be worth a watch. A Girl & Her Guard Dog The granddaughter of a crime syndicate goes to highschool out of town and the current young boss lies his way into the same school. Would be cute romance if it weren't for the fact she's 15 and he's 26.. Butareba - The Story of a Man Turned into a Pig What the title says. A girl finds him and the story goes from there. I'm Giving the Disgraced Noble Lady I Rescued a Crash Course in Naughtiness The usual light novel title. Honestly, doesn't seem as yikes as I initially thought, might just be harmless breaking the rules kinda thing. Could be fun, also a Capybara that strikes fear into people's hearts. My Daughter Left the Nest and Returned an S-Rank Adventurer Looks like a wholesome series where an adventurer finds a baby, raises it and she becomes so strong she's busy working all the time. Just a cute father daughter relationship in a fantasy setting about her wanting to come take time to see him but being caught up in OP fantasy battles. Ragna Crimson Dragons vs Humanity - a human and a dragon team up to destroy all the dragons. Action fantasy series. Berserk of Gluttony I honestly added this because I thought it was hilarious. Looks like a combo of knock offs - the Gluttony skill from Tensura (reincarnated as a slime) and the mc being called Fate with the main girl who looks exactly like Sabre. I'll be skipping but its' here so you know.

SPOILERS FOR THE GRANDEST GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First off, I want to say that I liked this more than I expected. I don't usually vibe with spin-offs, I just don't like it when I get attached to characters amd then they become side characters in the next book, but this book surprised me in a good way
Let's unpack the characters:
Lyra: Don't come for me, but I must admit that I expected more from Lyra's character. Don't get me wrong, I still like her, but it was a little disappointing. Maybe a reason for it is that her POV wasn't as packed with action as the other characters' POVs, but either way, she has potential, so I'm having hope for Glorious Rivals. I don't know if I want her to win the game, because on one hand, hse deserves it, but the other hand, I really want Rohan to win
Gigi: her character hit very close to home, but in a good way. I saw myself in her, specifically tye dedication and the way no matter what she does she's never the best, the way she thought she was too much, which is also a reason why I was just as hurt at the end of the book. I was very sad when she got eliminated from the game, she was the third person I was rooting for (the first being Rohan, the second Lyra) and I know she was using the game as a way to prove to herself and the others that she is good enough, and I know from experience the devastation that comes when you fail. I really hope we have her POV in the next book, too, because I NEED to know why they kidnapped specifically her and how she's going to escape
Rohan: I didn't like him in The Brothers Hawthorne, but I LOVE him here. He was flirty and sassy and clever and I really enjoyed reading his perspective. I'm kind of disappointed that we didn't see much about his past, his POV was mostly focused on the game, unlike Gigi and Lyra, who we got to see as teenagers with trauma, but we got some crumbs, so I hope we get to see more of it in the next book. I really want him to win the game, because as much as I dislike the concept of the Mercy, it's the only live he has, he doesn't even have a last name outside of it. I don't know if I want him to decide that such lifestyle isn't good for him and attempt to start over, or deal with it, because the Mercy is a part of him, so for now both options work for me
Grayson: I have to admit, out of the good characters in the other books, he was my least favourite. I believe that there are two kinds of relatable characters - 1) the type that makes you feel seen, so you love them and 2) the type that points out all of your flaws and insecurities, so you dislike them. For me, Grayson is the second kind. In this book, however, it's obvious that character development has been done and I actually liked him. I still don't get why they decided to make him a player, what are they planning with this? And isn't the point of the game to give money to someone who needs it, why would they give him the chance for it and lessen the chances for winning of the other players? I really hope they explain it in the next book
Brady: I felt something was off with him from the very beginning, but I still fell for his lies and everything. It was exactly what Gigi needed to hear, and if I'm being honest, what I needed to hear, so I didn't see the traps. I spent a huge part of the book fighting with myself about him, because some part of me wanted him to be Gigi's love interest, while another part said that he's too good to be true and that's exactly what it was. I felt Gigi's hurt at the end of the book, especially when he accepted to continue the game, even when most of the game was solved by Gigi (who I applaud for the choice to accept her loss, even though I think she should've accepted the extra chance). I figured out that he wasn't what we thought he was around the time of the power cut off, I felt that he was going to betray her, and even though he didn't exactly do that, I still think there's more to him than what we know now and I highly doubt it's good
Knox: I had complicated feelings about him the entire time, up until the end. Part of the negative feelings about him were cause by the comparison with Brady and, now that I know who Brady is, I think the positive feelings overruled. He was just cautious and I think Gigi grew on him at the end. I really hope we see more of him in the next book, there's still a lot of stuff about him left unanswered
Odette: I think she's the only player beside the POV characters and Grayson that I actually trusted and turned out to be right. She was kind of just there, though the whole thing with Tobias was a juicy secret. I'm still caught on the questions she didn't answer though
Savannah (help, it autocorrected it to Satan, I'm dying): She's on thin ice. She already wasn't one of my favourites, but the whole revenge thing isn't doing her good. I admit that I'm biased, Avery is my favourite character in the whole saga. I'm pretty sure that Eve told her (because where else could she find that information? We also know that Eve was planning to contact her in the epilogue of TBH), so she might not know the whole story, so I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt. She has chances to get on my good side in the next book, but for now I'm 50-50 about her
Avery and the rest of the Hawthornes were iconic as always
The relationships:
Lyra and Grayson: It's definitely a very cute ship and it's going somewhere, but I expected it to be more interesting. I loved the dinamic and banter in the beginning, but things got a little bit boring as the book progressed. Still, it has SO MUCH potential and I hope we see more of them in the next book. For some reason, they didn't feel like the main ship. I don't know why. Maybe because we got multiple POVs and all relationships are kind of main, but I felt like they aren't the main ship, just how Lyra didn't really feel like the protagonist (because, correct me if I'm wrong, the protagonist is one, the character who has the most page time, even if there are multiple main/lead characters). I didn't track how much page time each character/relationship got, but even if they did get them most, it doesn't really feel like it. Honestly, I was expecting them to be more angsty. Maybe part of my expectations for them was the fandom and predictions before it came out (which is still weird ,because I purposely distanced myself from lyrason posts to avoid disappointment but oh well). I'm still not giving up on them, though, I liked them a lot!
Savannah and Rohan: they were probably my favourite ship from this book. THE TENSION!!! I was squealing every time Rohan called her love. Honestly, I was squealing every time Rohan. Period. I was thinking "kiss, kiss, kiss, KISS MFs" the entire time. As of nicknames, I loved "love" and I find "British" cute (even though I've seen many people say they don't like it), but idk what to think about "Savvy". Because, it was fun while he used it to annoy her, but it's kinda cringe when it became an actual nickname. Either way, I LOVE how smitten Rohan was the entire time. Like, they're solving a riddle and he's like "Savannah is another riddle, wait, FOCUS, but Savannah, FOCUS" it was adorable. I really enjoyed watching him lose his shit internally every time they touched. The scene with him brushing her hair is officially my favourite from the whole book, it's embarrassing how much I'm obsessed with it
Gigi and Brady: I spent some time thinking that he was the love interest, but as I said, he was too good to be true. And even before the reveal, I was still doubting it, because Slate was already mentioned and he called her "sunshine", so obviously, I, being a sucker for nicknames, lost it. I spent most of this book rooting for Gigi and Brady, but now I think it's unfair to her. Even if what he said to her about his brain liking A lot and the other stuff, he admits that he still loves Calla (who btw, what is the whole thing with her??? We were teased about it the entire book and we got nothing!), so it's AveryGrayson all over again, but worse, because Brady did it all intentionally. Now, I'm really hoping that I'm correct about Slate being the actual love interest and I hope we see more of Gigi and Slate in the next book, because it sounds promising
The AveryJameson crumbs were SO CUTE
NASH AND LIBBY ARE HAVING TWINS I'M DYING I'M SO HAPPY FOR THEM
Now, some specific plot points:
What was the power cut about??? I'm still confused and concerned about what happened while the power was off
Wtf does Eve want???
The whole thing with Alice is kinda confusing, but so very interesting, I need to know more about it
What's the whole thing with Calla about???
All in all, I enjoyed this book a lot. I'm excited for the next book and I hope my questions get answered

My thoughts on Primer: Clashing Colors #1 - "Color Me Impressed" (2024)
This was a comic I was waiting a long time for and was super excited about its story. Not because omg New character, Primer!! Nah, because of Teen Titans lol
That too the TEEN TITANS ANIMATED SERIES 2003
I seriously had high hopes for this comic but let's just say I'm disappointed.
Without getting into spoilers,
The writing is just meh at best. Primer is fleshed out decently but the writing for TT03 cast is horrendous at worst and ooc at best.
This comic also suffers from the "Telling but not showing" problem, similar to Nightwing (2016) comic by Taylor.
It's clear that the writers prefered Primer but it's almost like they didn't really do much research over the Titans' personality and that was of less priority. They act a lot like their TTG! (2013) Counterparts rather than TT03 characters. Even the humour is similar to TTG! (2013) and not the original show unlike what was being advertised.
As a Primer comic, it gets the job done and highlights her nicely but as a teen titans fan who was looking forward for the TT content rather than Primer, it's pretty disappointing and saddening.
⚠️ Now getting into spoilers ⚠️
(click off if you want to or scroll down to the end if you wanna skip and basically go to the summary)
The introduction to Primer is pretty decent and I think it does a decent job and blooming her personality.
I believe most of you here must have seen this particular panel in the teasers before the comic's release. It catches the TT03 essence nicely but this is where characterisation jumps in.
Tumblr media
As I said Primer as a character isn't of concern to me but as a TT fan, TT is.
So here's where things went downhill in characterisation and character consistency.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You are saying Slade came out in the open, got unmasked and it's of NO big deal to Robin?
Lemme rephrase this to you; Slade, the evil mastermind, who never does anything without a reason and NEVER leaves his basement other than the reason for kidnapping children, touched grass and came out at day and Robin is unphased? It doesn't make ANY sense.
Even more so, when the story tries to pretend it's on purpose.
Tumblr media
Slade was NEVER unmasked other than that skull reveal scene and that one Easter egg from TTG! 2003 spin off comics. So the fact, this scene was displayed as something comical is genuinely baffling. The Titans KNOW he doesn't get caught unless there's a catch. This part makes absolutely zero sense.
Then this part ...
Tumblr media
The problem with this part is, characterisation. BB debatably acts like himself but Raven? No. It's ooc for her to go "Awww :D" like that. If anything, the best possibility is that she'll say the same line but she'll say it with full and utter sarcasm.
I think most BBRAE fans will agree with me on this one but they both had romantic POTENTIAL but they weren't anything other than good pals in the show. And we haven't gotten any hint at their relationship even in the spin off comics which were canon to show. Which in simpler terms means, this is ooc. Most of the development BBRae can have is after the show and after they get older. But the comic claims they are same Titans who haven't aged a day thus THIS IS OUT OF CHARACTER FOR RAVEN TO SAY!
Raven is a gloomy, sarcastic character who doesn't express what she feels instantly or openly, it would have made a lot more sense if she said the same line sarcastically (where she could blush implying a subtext incase they really wanted to insert BBRae but not making too obvious)
It really makes no sense for her character as depicted in TT03 to suddenly melt at the idea BB giving her tulips if it is the same Raven from TT03. Raven isn't that stereotypical girl character. She's a reserved and introverted person who was still learning to open up even to the series very end.
If this is the TT we know and love, this can't be her.
I'm not bashing the ship btw, I'm bashing the writing. Atleast be faithful to the character's personality while doing fan service!!
If you say, it's the same people who haven't aged a day since the last time you met. You can't have it be that oh yk they changed. Both the statements can't be true at the same time.
Then this scene:
Tumblr media
This scene looks straight up from TTG. Back to making Robin dumb af and the team bashing him into normalcy. I'm tired of this trope like jeez, TT ROBIN WAS NOT LIKE THAT!!!
Infact if anything, "Can we just call it 'the battery'?" Line is something BB would say not Raven. Also Starfire getting mad at Robin for saying a long name and rolling eyes? She would never. Robin taught her earth customs and language patiently. If anything, she's that one person who would never eye roll on Robin even if he says something dumb. If it's the same Starfire from TT03 AS ADVERTISED.
Then there's this panel....
Tumblr media
Two things, Robin never had a car in TT03. He had a bike named R-Cycle. Second, Starfire always carried Robin while Beast Boy carried Cyborg as a Pterodactyl. The Titan with a car was Cyborg. And when the car was out, everyone rode the car instead of taking the skies. Why the hell would Cyborg be carried out by Starfire when the car is right there??? It makes no sense.
It's incredibly strange how the writer is going long lengths to not make the two (Robin and Starfire) even merely interact with eachother.
How hard is it to just be canon accurate? These are stuff you catch on literally one rewatch. Did the writers not even do that or did they go with fanon or what they remembered from their childhood or like spent 5 mins trying to remember the characters through YT shorts and called it a day?
Like this is the only time they technically look at eachother to talk anything other than business:
Tumblr media
Then coming back to Slade, I said the story tries to pretend it was all on purpose.
Tumblr media
This further proves that this Slade isnt the same evil mastermind we knew of. This is some other guy.
Then this,
Tumblr media
Yk what the awful part is? This . This isn't something you would see in TT03 or anything similar. This is simply something you can expect to see in a fan comic.
And wanna know what's worse? Ravager already existed in TT03 verse except she was Rose Wilson not this guy. This simply just means the writers didn't even BOTHER doing minimum research on the show beforing stamping in characters.
========================================
SPOILERS END!!!
Like I am genuinely lacking words as to describe this mess of a Teen Titans 2003 representation. This isn't them at all.
If anything, this isn't anything like they promoted and advertised. If anything, this is simply a TT03 AU which has nothing to do with the show.
It's neither faithful to the show nor the characters nor the established canon.
If anything, this feels like a shameless cash grab..ik some of y'all be mad at me for saying this but yeah. That is what this is.
If anything, it feels like a clickbait way to get people to Primer without actually bothering to respect that clickbait through which you are trying to pull people in.
It's shameful and disappointing and if I'm being honest, this got boring fast. I didn't enjoy it at all.
The writers prioritised cheap comedy and Primer over the Titans who are apparently a big part of her journey. They didn't even feel hesitant in making all the characters go ooc. The story itself is pretty bland and not interesting and genuinely nothing unique about it other than the Titans who apparently were TT03 as left on the final episode.
Anyway, this feels like an AU TT03 self insert OC fan comic at best or a version of TT based on TTG 2013. Frankly, it has the humor and characterization of TTG. Infact, I think this can totally work out as a 'tame' episode in TTG.
Introduction of Primer to TT and her demeanor to them to get along and on the team gave off Massive Terra vibes, it's almost like the writers got heavily inspired from it.
Tldr, the characterisation and characters of TT aren't like their TT03 counterpart but rather TTG one with a lot more grounded personalities. They often go ooc and say things which they won't say if we went with TT03 canonicity. Deathstroke is basically a joke now. The story itself is boring and uninteresting and doesn't make me like Primer any better. The comic falsely promotes this as the TT03 version even though this is, at best, a TT universe maybe inspired by the 2003 show but not the 2003 show. It's closer to 2013 one.
Personally, I'm severely disappointed and I'm gonna say it again, this is a total cashgrab and not worth reading.

There's not much Yoongi truly regrets. After all, he's a firm believer that even the bad things in life happen for a reason- it's all somewhat connected. It all leads you to the next step in life.
But if that's the case, then why did the world gift him you, just to have you taken away like this?
He knows it's only a matter of time until your body gives up. It's already happening, after all- your breathing has become less regulated, blood pressure steadily declining. He knows it's unrealistic to think that you'll forever stay in this state. You won't.
Even if you wake up now, you won't be the same. You'll probably have to fight the aftereffects and impact on your brain for months if not years. And that's a very optimistic prognosis.
The more realistic one would be to assume that you'll be a case of permanent full on care. If you ever wake up.
He dreads the question soon to be asked. What does he want to do?
Can he let you go?
In times like these, when being at home makes him homesick to the point of nausea, he tends to visit you, no matter how late. It's how he finds himself at your bedside again, steady tune of your bpm monitor reassuring him that for now, you're still here.
No matter how much of you.
Watching you sleep like this makes it hard to really comprehend that there's not much to do here at all. There's nothing he can do to help you recover because, at the end of the day, the diagnosis is still being studied.
He can't help. He can only hope.
Holding your hand has begun to feel odd now. Like a tune not played quite right, it feels off to just cling to your body like this, when your soul might've very well already left you long ago. "I don't know what I'm supposed to do.." he mumbles to himself, mostly.
Or maybe he's just at the end of his hope.
Maybe he's the one losing this battle now.
"I know I have to let you go, but I don't want to." He shakes his head. "I didn't even get to experience anything with you." He sighs to himself. "Fuck.." the doctor wipes his face with his free hand.
He sighs again, and gets up to leave-
But your fingers cling to his own, holding a lot more tightly than usual. Maybe a simple muscle memory response- nothing to be excited about. He's learned to keep those feelings in check by now, after having been disappointed time and time again.
So he gently pulls your fingers away from his hand.
And you.. whine?
Your bpm is rising a little, machine complaining with a chime about the change in tempo, and he looks at you a bit more focused, noticing the way your breathing doesn't seem as calm as it usually is.
"No, you're not-!" He curses, turning the lights of the room back on. "You're not fucking taking her from me yet-!" He argues to no one.
When your fingers wrap around his wrist where his hand is pushing down on the hospital bed to gain better leverage to look at your monitor.
"No way.." he breathes out, leaning closer to you as he watches the tears run down your cheeks. It's not new that you're able to cry- you've randomly done that in the past, but during post comatose wakefulness, that's not unusual.
But he hopes. He wants to hope.
"Do you want me to stay?" He asks. "Is that it? Come on, you know how it works, give me an answer-" he begs in a whispered tone,
But nothing happens.
"God dammit what am I supposed to do?!" He breaks down, falling back into the chair next to your bed, finally breaking as he cries into the sheets.
And your hand is suddenly moving around again, as if searching for something, before it settles in his hair, on his head.
And as he lifts it to look at you, your eyes are open. But not just open- because that's what they've done for weeks now, time and time again, hurting him with every empty gaze.
Because this time, albeit a bit tearful-
They're not just open.
They're looking at him.
You're looking at him.
You're back.

LMAO. I was a Jikooker up until Seven era but I still lurked in Jikook blog spaces, and this person (Beautifulpersonpeach) has been one of those Jokers who are clearly biased towards JK and don't really give a damn about JM (although she was really good at pretending otherwise). Before NLG, she was always all praises for JK, his music and the direction he took with his career. She was one of the many Jokers who were making non-stop excuses for the JM sabotage and how JK was clearly benefiting off of it. This person was basically a diet JJK, I swear, but because she made sure to hype up other members, her "neutral" followers didn't realize that. She, along with Parkparkjeon, another Joker-but-JJK-diet-solo would always cry about how PJms are the worst solos the fandom has ever seen (sure)
But now..NOW she can speak ill about HYBE. Now she can say she doesn't like NLG just because JK also expressed his displeasure with the song. And she's basically saying GOLDEN was mid when she was screaming in text about how JK absolutely ate that November. Best believe had JK not said anything negative about the song that she would have been out here writing essays about how it's an underappreciated masterpiece🥱
Also look at the amount of comments on the post still coddling that joke of man, I can't. And I'm seriously still trying to find this "talent" they speak of😭
Jokers truly deserve the name
Pjms are always gonna be the worst solos to those types of jikookers and armys cause they’re the only set that don’t kiss JK’s ass or think he’s as great as everybody else paints him as. lmao
Using JK giving a disclaimer about how the song isn’t great as a launch pad to finally condemn Hybe is interesting to me though. Pretending to like all the decisions prior to now because they needed to make up for the fact that he intentionally gave up any artistic input in exchange for payola boosted super stardom will always be crazy. But now they’re trying to spin it like Hybe is completely at fault (despite JK having credits on NLG which means he took an active role in making that song bad 🥴) for everything now when they’ve spent a year praising the company for brining their JK being the chosen one fantasies to fruition.
But this is the common theme with all the JK biased/solos I’ve come in contact with. Putting him on a pedestal as the new main pop act while not liking any of the music he puts out. How does that work? Literally defeats the purpose of staning an artist. How do you think so highly of someone who’s below average as an artist but then when it comes to somebody who broke their back making sure their debut was actually quality make them an afterthought to that same person?
Trying to shift blame regarding JK’s disappointing solo run to anybody else but JK is just a way to uphold any semblance of hope that musically, things could turn around so they can give him credit if it turns out good. Nobody forced that man to do what he did, but because he has that image hybe and armys have cultivated for him they have to act like what he puts out matches the hype they’ve built up for him. I’ve said this before I’ll never lie and say that JK doesn’t have talent, but past singing technically well, there’s nothing else about him that goes beyond serviceable to me.

part 3 of spin the bottle series
note: so I'm having bad day, but I hope that you are having good day ;)
part one | part two| part three| part four | part five
warnings:you tell me, Im not good with warnings.
----------------
As the weeks passed and Carlos asked you to be his girlfriend, you felt a rush of excitement and happiness, eager to deepen your connection. However, his request for secrecy about your relationship left you feeling conflicted, as you longed to share your joy with your loved ones.
Despite your disappointment, you respected Carlos's wishes, trusting that he had his reasons. But as time went on, his behavior began to change. Carlos became increasingly touchy and possessive, his actions leaving you feeling suffocated and unsure.
One evening, as you sat together in silence, the tension between you palpable, you finally mustered the courage to confront Carlos about his behavior.
"Carlos, we need to talk," you began, your voice tinged with apprehension. "I've noticed that you've been acting differently lately, and it's starting to worry me."
Carlos shifted uncomfortably, his eyes avoiding yours as he fidgeted with his phone. "I… I know," he replied, his voice strained. "I've just been feeling frustrated, you know?"
You frowned, a sense of unease settling in the pit of your stomach. "Frustrated? What do you mean?"
Carlos sighed, his shoulders slumping as he finally met your gaze. "I… I want more from our relationship," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. "I want to be closer to you, physically."
Your heart sank at his words, realization dawning on you. "Carlos, you know I can't," you said softly, your voice filled with sadness. "I thought you understood and respected that."
Carlos nodded, a flicker of guilt crossing his features. "I do, I really do," he insisted. "But it's been hard for me, waiting."
You took a deep breath, struggling to process his confession. "I understand, but that doesn't excuse your behavior," you replied, your voice tinged with frustration. "I need you to respect my boundaries, as I am respecting yours Carlos. This isn't fair to me."
Carlos's expression softened, regret shining in his eyes as he reached out to take your hand. "I'm sorry," he said sincerely. "I'll try to do better, I promise."
But despite his words, you couldn't shake the feeling of doubt that lingered in your mind. As the weeks went on, Carlos's possessiveness only seemed to escalate. He was constantly texting his friends, even during your dates or while you were spending time together at home. And no matter how much you tried to talk to him about it, he brushed off your concerns, insisting that everything was fine.
As the strain in your relationship grew, you couldn't help but wonder if things would ever go back to how they used to be. And as you lay awake at night, watching Carlos sleep beside you, you couldn't shake the feeling of unease that gnawed at your heart, wondering if you were truly meant to be together.
As you strolled through the park together, the gentle breeze and the rustle of leaves provided a soothing backdrop to your conversation. Carlos seemed relaxed, his usual tension replaced by a sense of ease that put you at ease as well.
"Carlos, can we talk about something?" you began, breaking the comfortable silence that had settled between you.
"Of course," he replied, turning to look at you with a warm smile.
You took a deep breath, gathering your thoughts before speaking. "I've been thinking about our relationship, about how we've been keeping it a secret," you said, your voice steady despite the nerves that fluttered in your stomach. "How long do we have to keep it this way?"
Carlos's expression softened, a hint of sadness flickering in his eyes. "I know it hasn't been easy," he replied, his voice tinged with regret. "But for now, I think it's best if we continue to keep things between us."
You felt a pang of disappointment at his response, the weight of secrecy pressing down on you like a heavy burden. "But why, Carlos? Why can't we be open about our relationship?"
Carlos sighed, his gaze drifting to the ground as he struggled to find the right words. "It's complicated," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. "There are things going on in my life that I'm not ready to share with everyone yet."
You reached out to gently squeeze his hand, offering him a reassuring smile. "I understand, Carlos," you said softly. "I just wish we could be honest with the people we care about."
Carlos met your gaze, gratitude shining in his eyes as he squeezed your hand in return. "I know, and I'm sorry," he replied sincerely. "But I promise, one day, we'll be able to shout our love from the rooftops."
You smiled, feeling a glimmer of hope stir within you at his words. "I'll hold you to that," you said, your voice filled with determination.
And as you continued to walk through the park together, hand in hand, you couldn't help but feel a sense of optimism for the future. Despite the challenges you faced, you knew that as long as you had each other, you could weather any storm that came your way.
---------------
its short vey short I separated parts bc it would be longer and it seems that my drafts can't hold that amount of words, I mean.....my finished fics have some parts missing... I have no idea how is that possible..but I hope I can fix it somehow
bye

Tumblr media
She hadn’t realized until now just how much she missed this. Everyone was clustered around the fire, shoulder to shoulder, thigh to thigh. All are temporarily blind to their worries in favor of something much more pleasant. They’d been settling in for the evening when Javier started plucking at his strings, a careless but entrancing melody. One by one the weary souls of the Van Der Linde gang migrated to the warmth of the fire and began to sing along with the few words they recognized from his songs. The men and women sway to the music, occasionally tipping back their bottles and downing hot, bitter spirits.
She tilts hers back to get the last few drops, then tosses the empty container into the dark grass at her feet. A sigh escapes her as the heat pools in her belly, warming her up from the inside. The world begins to finally slow, with the men across the fire moving like molasses as they sing. She knows she’s enjoyed herself more than intended at that point but she doesn't mind much. In truth, there is a face missing at the fire and the longer he lingers away from camp, the deeper her worries grow. He and Hosea had gone on a hunting trip to look for the elusive giant bear dwelling in the Grizzlies. It was simple enough and he wouldn’t be gone long, he had assured her. But even so, her worries crept up on her, and on a night like tonight, the warm embrace of whiskey is waiting for her.
Suddenly, the lively beginning chords of her favorite song start to play. She perks up at the sound and awkwardly pushes herself off the log, stumbling over the fabric of her skirt and earning a steadying hand from Sadie beside her.
“How much have you had?” Sadie asks, eyebrows raised.
She squints up at the sky to find the answer, like the barkeeper left her tab somewhere in the stars.
“Somewhere between two and…five…”
“Two and five what? Shots?”
She shrugs her shoulders. “Somethin’ like that.”
Sadie huffs and shakes her head but doesn’t press further. It wasn’t anger or disappointment that stirred her, rather she knew her usually reserved friend was sure to make a fool of herself.
A few paces away from the fire, Mary Beth and Tilly twirl each other around arm-in-arm as the song begins to pick up. Tilly notices her walking over and extends her hand.
“Glad you could join us!” Mary Beth cheers. Her cheeks are flushed a light shade of pink but she doesn’t appear to be far from sober.
“I couldn’t help myself, this song can’t be enjoyed sitting down!” She laughs loudly.
“I know, it’s like they put somethin’ in it!” Tilly agrees.
Mary Beth takes her hand and spins her around rather clumsily but the wind in her hair and her skirt feels like heaven. She began to feel like she was floating and like her legs were just carrying her wherever they pleased. She couldn’t help but giggle at the funny thought of them running off without her. But all of a sudden, her foot catches on uneven ground and she’s forcefully reminded that her legs are, indeed, attached to the rest of her. She collides with the dirt, landing on the softness of her backside.
The music stops and folk turn to look her way. In a brief moment of sobriety, she looks up at the girls’ surprised faces and she starts to laugh. A real, throw-your-head-back, belly-aching laugh. Tilly and Mary Beth can’t help but join in, Mary Beth getting on her knees and laughing so hard that no noise comes out at all.
“Now you’re cut off!” Sadie yells.
The sound of a man groaning can be heard.
“I’ve always said women don’t know how to handle their liquor,” Micah’s grating voice pipes in. “Not that I mind.”
“Alright, that’s actually disgusting,” someone else responds.
Tilly reaches down to help her up and she gratefully obliges.
“Everythin’ alright?” another person asks, but this time their voice contains the deep, familiar drawl she’d been missing all night. She turns to make out who it is but the world moves too slow and faces are swimming in her vision.
“Arthur and Hosea are back, everyone!” Another person shouts, followed by whooping and whistling.
She can’t help the smile that overtakes her face.
“Arthur?” She slurs, trying to make out the man among the faces surrounding the fire.
Sadie starts to laugh in the husky way that only she does.
“Ever since she started on that whiskey we haven’t been able to get her to shut up about you. All night I got ‘Where’s Arthur at?’ or ‘Wish Arthur were here’ and my personal favorite, ‘I’ll be so pissed if he got mauled by the damn bear.’”
She gulps.
“You’re tellin’ me I said all that out loud?”
The group erupts in laughter and Javier begins to finger his strings once more. A warm hand finds her upper arm in the midst of everything. She whips around a little too fast and nearly loses her balance again. He reaches out to grip both of her arms and steady her.
“Woah there. You’ve got more whiskey than blood in ya,” he chuckles.
Everyone’s attention is back on the music and the girls have resumed their swaying to a more somber song than before.
She looks up at him, her eyes meeting his. A funny feeling rises in her chest. His calloused hands on her bare skin and his sweet blue eyes peering down at her make her heart swell with contentment.
“You’re back…” she smiles broadly.
“Of course I’m back, silly woman,” he laughs. He looks her over, eyes resting on her flushed cheeks and glassy eyes.
“Let’s get you outta here,” he says, directing her away. She hums in agreement and finds his elbow to interlock with her own.
“You were gone too long, Arthur Morgan,” she scolds as they leave the warmth of the fire and head towards his tent. “I was so cold without ya. Almost considered sleepin’ with Cain.”
He scoffs.
“Don’t tell me I’ve been replaced after only three nights!” He sounds appalled at the idea but the smile on his face deceives him.
“Don’t worry, big guy. I was only considerin’ it.” She pats his chest assuringly. “Could never replace you. Especially not with a dog. Why, a dog couldn’t do half the things you do.”
The two of them step beneath the canopy of his tent. He unfurls the canvas that’s drawn back to the posts and lets it fall to seclude them from the rest of the camp. He ties the opening shut to keep the wind from blowing in and ward off any prying eyes to their private matters.
“And what is it I do?”
“Well…” she starts, kicking off her boots and fidgeting with the buttons of her blouse.
“Shoot guns. That’s a big one.”
He hums, acknowledging her astuteness.
“What else… Oh. Leave the woman he loves to freeze to death while he goes lookin’ for a big bear.” She turns to him with a pronounced frown.
He can’t restrain his laughter anymore, “Alright, alright, darlin’. I see the errors of my ways.”
Arthur moves towards her and replaces her hands with his own, gingerly undoing each button for her. Her hands fall limply to her sides as he works away. He pulls the blouse off her shoulders, then moves to slide her belt from the loops of her skirt, causing it to slip down and pool at her feet. She puts her hands on his chest to steady herself as she carefully steps out, wearing nothing but the sheer linens of her chemise. She rests her head against his chest and closes her eyes, a soft sigh escapes her lips when his hands find their way to her hips. A childlike sense of peace overtakes her.
“I just missed ya is all,” she mumbles.
“I know,” he says, leaving a kiss on the crown of her head. “Now go get in bed, sweet thing.”
She didn’t need to be told twice. The adoring way he spoke to her always left her stomach a fluttering mess. She couldn’t help but giggle as she stumbled over to the cot and plopped down, cozying herself beneath the furs.
She watches him lazily as he pulls his bandolier over his head and places it on the table. His gun belt and holsters follow suit and then he’s working down the buttons of his blue shirt. He shrugs it off, revealing the top half of his cream-colored union suit. Her eyes rake over him drowsily. She loves the way the muscles of his abdomen strain against the material and how he leaves the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, revealing his strong arms. Those arms were truly something else. She doesn’t bother attempting to suppress the sudden vivid recollection of the lewd circumstances she’s witnessed those arms in.
He looks down at her out of the corner of his eyes while he undoes his jeans.
“You have no shame, do ya?”
“Not at all,” she says with a grin.
He shakes his head. “You’re usually so put together. I woulda never taken you for a sloppy drunk.”
“Sweetheart… Don't know if you've noticed but turn me into a delirious fool even when I’m sober,” she slurs, the weight of her eyelids increasing by the second. “It’s not the hooch that’s the common factor.”
“Ah, I've noticed, don't you worry.”
Her eyelids had finally sunken and waves of swirling darkness danced behind the thin skin. She could hear the smile in his tone and it made the corners of her mouth turn up. The cot dips down beside her and she feels his hand pat her hip, signaling her to make some space. She turns over in a less than graceful manner to face the wagon, allowing him room on the outside of the cot in the way they always slept. He groans as he lies down behind her, grateful to finally rest his bones somewhere other than his damp bedroll. His large hands find her stomach and his knees lay flush with the soft skin of her calves. The rough, itchy stubble of his chin nestled into her shoulder was a welcome feeling she hadn’t realized she missed so much. The warmth from his breath fanning over her neck and his chest pressed up against her back did away with any lingering goosebumps on her skin. He brings his hand up to brush away stray hairs at the nape of her neck and tucks them behind her ear. She feels the warm softness of his lips leaving innocent kisses there and down her shoulder like he often did when the night was coming to a close. And whether it was the liquor in her veins or the yearning she felt when he was gone, she didn’t know, but her chest was thumping with every little touch.
“Arthur…” she murmurs. He hums in response, lips still pressed to her skin.
“Take me with you next time.”
He pulls away suddenly, not expecting that.
“But you don’t like huntin’,” he states, with no room for doubt.
She rolls over and opens her eyes. In the darkness of his tent she can barely make out the features of his face but she brings her hand up to the outline of his cheek. Words are lost on her in this moment, maybe she shouldn’t have said anything.
“I don’t like hunting,” she agrees. “But I like you.”
He lets out a long sigh. “I like you too, darlin’. Now go on and go to sleep before you say anything else you’ll smack yourself over in the mornin’.”
She obliges and burrows her head into his chest. He wraps his arm around her, weaving his fingers through her hair. He laughs quietly to himself, replaying the last few seconds in his head once again.
“You’re ridiculous,” he mumbles.
She fell asleep as he toyed with the strands of her hair and it didn’t take long for him to follow suit. Sleep always came easy in the arms of his woman. And though it wasn’t the welcome home he’d been expecting, he’d be lying if he said it didn’t tug on his heartstrings to see her smiling up at him the way she did. How could he ever leave her after that?
Bonus:
The harsh and unrelenting pounding behind her eyes is what rouses her the next day. She brings her palm up to her forehead and groans at the pain.
“Mornin’ sunshine!”
She turns her head and squints to see Arthur sitting at his desk, journal in hand. Light shining in through the canvas behind him darkens his figure and makes him hard to make out at first. He marks his page and sets it aside when he sees that she’s awake.
“Was wonderin’ when you’d finally join the realm of the living,” he says, looking down at her with a playful glint in his eye. He’s fully dressed and has most of his gear equipped like he’s ready to get going.
“Here, drink this.” He hands her a cup of what looks like water off the table. She sits up to take it into her hands and then downs it all at once. It wasn’t water, at least not entirely. It had a slight floral aftertaste that wasn’t too unpleasant but not something she’d ever willingly want to drink.
“Good girl,” he says, removing the cup from her hands and placing it back on the table.
“Now get dressed, we’ve got work to do.”
“Work? What work?” She asks, a puzzled look on her face.
She and Arthur never shared the same kind of work, not even when it came to camp chores. Whenever she tried to do something as simple as chop wood, one of the men would wave her off and take care of it for her. So what was it? Were they going to rob a train together? Why that’d be something, especially considering she can count on one hand the number of times she’s fired a gun.
“You don’t remember?” He tilts his head, bringing a hand to his chin to hide the shadow of a smirk.
“Remember what, Arthur?” She looks up at him, eyebrows furrowed. Then, slowly, fragments of last night begin to creep up on her. Her eyes widen at the sudden realization. “I didn’t mean it. No, I don’t want to go-”
“Maybe that’ll teach ya to take it easy on the hooch next time, darlin’. Now, you alright gettin’ dressed on your own, or do ya need my help again?”
He takes a step back as he says it, anticipating her response. She grabs the empty cup off the table and flings it at him but he dodges it easily and steps through the opening of the tent, chuckling under his breath.
She flops back onto the cot with a huff. She wouldn’t be drinking again for a while.

Corrupt Girlfriend part 7
Day 6
After not having sex for the past few days, you feel odd.You see Ashley taking a picture.
"What are you doing?"
She playfully responds
"Wouldn't you like to know."
"I would."
"You will see.."
You get ready for work disappointed at all your missing. upon arriving you get on with your work.
Later in the day, you're in a meeting when you decide to text Ashley and head to the toilets.
Hey babe I miss you.
Sorry shes alittle busy right now.
You get a video from your gf..
She doesn't seem to know they took her phone.
"Oh my god, you guys are so big."
"God, I think im in heaven!"
You watch as they use her
yea man I told you shes a total whore
She's good, too.
"fuck you both are so much bigger than him ugh!"
You hear slups and splashes from her mouth and pussy as they fuck her.
The video suddenly cuts off.
Feeling a rush, you finish work early again and get home as fast as you can. You Hear your girlfriend shreeking from the livingroom
"UGhhh Keep fucking me"
"uuh uUHh"
You move to the living room ,You walk in to find your girlfriend being used like a piece of meat.
"YES YES YES"
"You like that bitch?"
"I do I do! Keep going! uGhhh"
You see dicks in both her holes.
They dont notice you.
She starts begging them
"I wanna feel you both filling my pussy! please.."
They flip her around and waste no time giving her what she wants.
"Oh my fucking god I'm cumming again. GUaH!"
They spot you as your girlfriend is cumming on their thick cocks.
"hah looks like we have a visitor."
"Oh Don't mind him just keep fucking me! he likes this.."
She's completely broken.
"Hey man, you wanna turn"
She interjects.
"NO! I wanna feel filled up right now he can go another day.."
"Sorry"
The men shrug it off and start to really get into her.
You notice a butt plug inside her Shes filled.
They spin her around again
This angle really hits her good.
Your girlfriend is sobbing
"Oh god You made me cum again it feels so goo- uuuhhh"
"PLease fill me up. That's all i want! PLEASE!"
"I never wanna go back!"
You watch as all three of them cum hard filling your girlfriend
The men exchange numbers with her and leave.
Ashley is left shaking on the couch
"Let's go to bed baby you earned a reward."
You carry her upstairs and place her onto the bed. Ashley then presents herself to you.
"I know you haven't got it in a while, so here is your chance."
You cock is hard as a rock already leaking from the show you just witnessed.
Her pussy is full of cum and cream still pulsing from the pleasure.
You enter.
As you fuck her their cum leaks from her pussy
"Can you feel their cum?"
She moans
"It's the perfect lube right?"
You shamefully stay silent.
But her words make you want to cum.
"You like watching other men own me, right?"
"making me there bitch."
Shes turning herself on.
Her Pussy tightens.
"yes"
"fuck me harder like they did."
"fuck me like a whore!"
She's really getting into this.
You pick up the pace but immediately start to cum.
"Oh i'm cumming HUhh"
"fuck fuck me too!"
"Well, I hope you're satisfied. Have a good night, baby."
You lay there feeling proud and drift off to sleep.

making progress on old series
let it not be said that i can only start new series🧐
new releases:
empire of the damned by jay kristoff (book two in: empire of the vampire). i might have mentioned this one once or twice already so let's keep it brief. i loved it! even more than book one, i think. love liathe joining the main cast, love jean françois' everything, love how everyone got queerer, love the reveals at the end. very excited for the last book in this series, altho i'm a bit disappointed that it's now three books instead of five - since there are five vampire houses i wanted them to keep taking on a house in each book, with blood chastain being the final boss. very rude of kristoff to betray my vision.
the sunshine court by nora sakavic (book four in: all for the game). i don't think this spin off continuation was necessary and i didn't particularly enjoy it but i'm glad jean stans now have their own sacred text. my biggest fear was that nora would retcon something about the og trilogy and that didn't happen so i can just keep living in peace while mostly ignoring tsc fan content. more thoughts on why i didn't vibe with tsc in these posts.
mislaid in parts half-known by seanan mcguire (book nine in: wayward children). so this series consists of books focused on individual wayward children as well as of ensemble books which are usually weaker and this particular novella unfortunately belongs to the latter category. i still liked it fine and it was a quick read but tbh i'm ready for this series to wrap up so i hope goodreads isn't lying about the next book being the final installment.
fence vol. 6: redemption by cs pacat & johanna the mad. i rated it five stars but ngl i have no memory of what happened in this volume altho i read it in february😅 i like this series overall but i feel like the first few volumes were more exciting. weirdly now that the slow burn is finally starting to pay off i suddenly lose interest😕
heartstopper: volume five by alice oseman. i'm not a big fan of heartstopper in general, i think it's overhyped, but i did like this volume more than the previous ones. maybe i'm biased bc it features tori coming out as ace which prompted me to pick up solitaire which i loved and so it retroactively cast a more favorable light on the graphic novel. looking forward to reading the last volume bc i like finishing things and then i might as well read the nick and charlie novellas - at which point i will have become a person who doesn't like oseman's books all that much and yet has somehow read all but one of them🫤
mammoths at the gates and the brides of high hill by nghi vo (books four and five in: the singing hills cycle). i have only really liked the second singing hills novella so at this point it would be smart to admit that this series is simply not for me and stop reading it but. these books are so short and perfect for when you want to get through something quickly even if you know you're not likely to enjoy it. and if indeed eight stories are planned then it means i have now read more than half so i might as well complete the series🤷‍♀️ *gets shot by sunk cost fallacy police*
series i completed:
regency faerie tales by olivia atwater (read books two and three: ten thousand stitches and longshadow). love love LOVE these books!! i read half a soul last october and ten thousand stitches this january - both times when i was sick in bed and i couldn't have wished for better books to help me recover from a cold. the first one is pride & prejudice meets jonathan strange & mr norrell, the second one is a cinderella retelling, both have lovely romances and can be read as standalones. i think half a soul is fairly popular (and constantly compared to the book that shall not be named😒) but ten thousand stitches is very underappreciated. i for one think it's at least as good, if not better, than half a soul - apparently people just can't appreciate a love interest who isn't angsty and brooding😒 longshadow is a companion novel too but imo it features too many characters and concepts from the previous books so it should definitely be read last. i didn't like it as much bc i think it relies too much on the stuff we already know and love instead of giving its protagonists enough time to shine but it is queer which made me realize we don't have nearly enough queer fae books. what a disgrace🧐
noumena by lindsay ellis (read book three: apostles of mercy). so this was unfortunately mind-bogglingly boring. this type of sci fi is usually not my cup of tea and so i stay away from it but i decided to give this series a try bc it was written by lindsay ellis. the first book was entertaining enough but both sequels bored me to tears. it seems i was under a misconception that the story was gonna be about a sad girl trying to navigate a third thing type of relationship with a freaky alien but it was instead about her navigating instalovey relationships with random humans and the alien was also there sometimes. big disappointment👎
series i'm slowly working my way through:
the memoirs of lady trent by marie brennan (read books two, three and four: the tropic of serpents, the voyage of the basilisk and in the labyrinth of drakes). i read book one last december and liked it just enough to continue the series but every next book after that turned out to be amazing. follow lady trent, a 19th century dragon naturalist and adventurer, legendary as she is scandalous, as she travels through fantasy africa, oceania and arabia in search of dragons living and extinct, starts various political upheavals, makes breathtaking discoveries and finds love - a life journey she recounts as an old woman in a delightfully snarky narrative voice.
book two is my favorite so far bc it found a perfect balance of fast-paced adventurous plot on the one hand and character and relationship development on the other. i'm a bit sad that natalie left the main cast after this book - one of the only two criticisms i have of this series is that the titular lady trent remains the only important woman character. i think it wouldn't be too far-fetched to have one more woman on the team and natalie was a perfect protegée who, might i add, is also canonically ace. hate to see her leave😒
book three introduces a love interest who i at first found kinda bland but he grew on me in book four. my favorite relationship in the series however remains the one between lady trent and her trusted colleague tom wilker with whom they used to butt heads when they first met but who is now her dearest friend and longtime companion on her journeys. there are many books about romance and friendship but not so many about the utter satisfaction of having a coworker you can absolutely rely on. my prediction/wish for the last book is for wilker to turn out to be gay and find love too🤞
the other criticism i have has to do with the worldbuilding and i'll elaborate on it when i complete the series later this year.
the witcher by andrzej sapkowski (read books two and three: the time of contempt and baptism of fire). i'm enjoying this series much more than i thought i would. the key to success here is to leave behind all expectations you have from reading western epic fantasy or indeed from the witcher adaptations. this saga started as short stories and sapkowski remains a short story author first and foremost which might irritate a reader expecting a novel with a neat three act structure but which i personally found fascinating. the opening chapter of book two told from the pov of a messenger who encounters all major characters on the road, gets a death prophecy from a girl he doesn't know to be ciri and indeed dies as the chapter ends - i think that was a very creative way to reintroduce the reader to the main cast and plot essentially through the format of a short story.
another thing sapkowski does a lot is conveying everything through dialogue which, as you might know, is like bookish catnip to me lol. some dialogues are there just for the sake of dialogue, only bc the author wanted some side characters he made up to have a funny conversation. to be fair, at worst this structure becomes too meandering but i gotta say i find that chapters that are focused on mundane scenes seemingly going nowhere are more fun than plot focused chapters about sorceresses and wizards fighting or whatever. the witch trial chapter in baptism of fire - that's where it's at for me.
the thing i'm still not so sure about is the way women and women's issues are represented. very mixed feelings on what happens to milva in book three, tho i think i wouldn't be so skeptical had she not been the only woman on the main cast in that book. (cahir and regis are such fun characters with interesting motivations and stuff so ig i'm pissed that the only female character's deal has to be about that). ciri on the other hand is written very well imo and i totally did not expect her to be in a sapphic relationship. sure hope nothing bad happens to her gf🥲
vorkosigan saga by lois mcmaster bujold (read books one, two and four (??): shards of honor, barrayar and the vor game). so after reading the warrior's apprentice and the mountains of mourning last year i took a step back and read cordelia's books which i unfortunately didn't like. cordelia is a type of female character i don't vibe with and the gender themes in her books, while likely very progressive for their time, often made me roll my eyes, grind my teeth etc. in my goodreads reviews i explain my issues in more detail. the ethical implications of uterine replicators haunt me still😕
returning to miles in the vor game was both welcome and disappointing bc i keep expecting more from this man and he keeps falling short of my grand lymondesque expectations. in this book in particular i was immediately hooked on the arctic base plot only for it to be cut short bc this is a space opera and miles needs to go do pew pew pew in space, just like in book one. boo. now that i know weatherman was formerly a short story bujold later incorporated into the vor game i think it's curious that i seem to like miles a lot in short stories and novellas (the mountains of mourning remains my favorite) but am underwhelmed by the full length novel miles.
i will say however that now i have sufficiently adjusted my expectations and am very motivated to find out if there is a vorkosigan book out there that i will absolutely love. so i'll keep reading a few books per year - there's something soothing about slowly working one's way through a very long series😌
the realm of the elderlings by robin hobb (read books two and three: royal assassin and assassin's quest). the farseer books are the longest and (for the most part) the most boring books i have read this year. normally i don't torture myself like this but i wanted to do it for the fool and see how his relationship with fitz develops. was it worth it? i would say yes but only bc i let myself curate my own perfect reading experience and skimmed aggressively, sometimes skipping entire chapters. and i will do it again!👿 bc i will keep reading the elderlings books to see how the one million page yaoi plays out.
the only part of the farseer trilogy i really enjoyed was the second half of assassin's quest - not just bc fitz and the fool were cute and heart-wrenching together but bc of the entire unlikely fellowship on this quest. nighteyes is my favorite which is a feat on hobb's part bc normally i don't care about animal companions or am annoyed by them. kettle is iconic, always remember to take an auld woman on a quest (or she will chase you down and join despite your protests and prevarications). i hated starling but in a series where most characters provoke zero emotions that was a welcome change. kettricken was also there. their group dynamic was delightful and i wish the entirety of this series (or at least of this last book) was this slow burn psychological character study in close proximity group dynamics. but you can't always have what you want ig🤷‍♀️
what's next:
finishing the memoirs of lady trent - only one book in the main series is left and then there's also a spin off about her granddaughter, i think
rereading swordspoint which i first read back in 2020 and found underwhelming but it may just have been bc captive prince was such a hard act to follow for many gay books i tried back then. i hope i will like it more now that i can meet it halfway and if it goes well i want to complete the riverside trilogy right away
sometime this fall i'm gonna read pandora and vittorio the vampire. finishing the vampire chronicles is on my bookish bucket list and now, two whole years after i reread three of them to refresh my memory, i finally feel sane and brave enough to keep working towards that goal. so wish me luck🥲
finishing joanne harris' st oswald's series which started with one of my favorite dark academia novels gentlemen and players. i read the sequel last year and liked it a lot so now i want to read the final book a narrow door which also seems like a perfect autumnal read
the new evander mills mystery comes out in october and i'd like to read it before the year ends
