gojo would kill your work husband. but if he were the work husband, that's a different story
REAL!! he’s such a hypocrite because if someone mentioned you had a work husband, his entire world would stop and he wold devise the absolute worst plans to make sure that your co-worker, everyone at your job, and everyone in the next building over knew that he was happily committed to you
but if he is the work husband, he’s very........ dutiful in his role. there’s a loose office/lawyer au in my head where satoru is your secretary, and for all intents and purposes, your personal assistant, and he’s good at his job, but mostly because he considers his job to be pleasing you. he has coffee for you when you arrive, he moves your schedule around without you asking, he has answers to questions before you can even ask them, he has fresh flowers on your desk weekly, pokes into your meetings to pretend to hand you a file that’s really just maybe a single document in a manilla folder with candy on top of it—he’s made himself your business, your partner; he’s made himself irreplaceable, and he loves to remind everybody of that fact.
he’s also extremely loyal. sure, he could day a week’s worth of work done in about a day, but that doesn’t mean he’ll just use his talents for anybody. he’s your secretary, so he’s at your beck and call, and everyone knows it. they know he’s the best, but also that he’s off limits—not because you won’t share him, but because satoru won’t let himself be shared.
he also extends his duties beyond work, of course. when he hands you a print out of your schedule for the day and you’re confused by the three-hour block of time you have in the middle of the day, satoru just helps you shrug your coat of your shoulders and smiles, “that’s for the lunch date you have with me, of course!” hanging up your coat in your closet for you, “i’m paying, see you soon, sweets.” and because you’re great at your job, and satoru helps you be great, nobody really questions when the two of you have time for a 13-course tasting menu at 1pm on a tuesday afternoon. and if they did, all satoru would say that you two had a lovely date

laios and kabru being very explicit narrative and character foils of each other means you're primed to expect some extent of honesty and candor from laios at every turn throughout, even if it's to negative effect, while your impression of kabru means you expect his every action and word to bely ulterior motive or manipulation, even if it's out of good intentions. and how thoroughly this is subverted in the end, when kabru is forced by pressure and circumstance into painfully, awkwardly honest confession and conduct, forced to stand back and spectate instead of trying to pull strings and control. and laios rises up out of nowhere with an underhanded scheme so shocking and thorough it tricks everyone, and suspends them into inaction and speechless disbelief, clearing his path to the throne. i just think it's neat how they're foils and opposites until they embody each other's core traits at some of their most pivotal developmental moments

i do tend to think we are at this point a little overly reliant on the trinity as a concept. like instead of creating a new miniature Wonder Woman to pair with damian and jon, why not look at the existing superheroes of a similar age and see who has a good dynamic to complete their group. why does it have to be a super, a wonder, and a bat.
diana and clark and bruce are good because of the history between them, and that is not necessarily reliant on the legacy mantles they wear. we seem to understand this, at least to some extent, in that we aren’t always pairing a lantern with an arrow despite the success and love for hal and ollie and the way they’ve worked as a team throughout history.
but for some reason every bat has to have a super and a wonder at his side (and it is he; Cass and Steph (and Duke) don’t get this. wonder why.) even when it means erasing those characters’ core traits or inventing a new one whole cloth just to make sure The Trinity remains intact. and frankly it’s a little weird. I’d rather just see them with characters that make sense based on the development of stories and plotlines over time. idk maybe i’m just picky.

With schools starting back up and the leaves starting to change colors, I’ve been thinking about Baby!Jack. When I was little, one of the moms would volunteer to read to us and she read The Wind in the Willows--I think Cas would do the same and that’s what he’s reading. I also really wanted to draw Midam picking Jack up from school and Dean with Jensen Ackles’ longer hair!

i just wanna say that it was so refreshing to see Matt Stone get to talk about the rise of antisemitism rn. like yeah start the season off on that!!! it was angry! scathing! yet funny! Matt Stone deserved this episode, you can tell he's fed up and it's unequivocally against antisemitism and nazism, so hopefully the episode hits a lot of people well, ik how sometimes south park can be... interpreted very oddly by some viewers of the show, but I think it's angry yet sympathetic enough to say that people can choose to deny/leave behind violent and bigoted beliefs. It was a good season premiere and I am really excited to see what's next

Unfortunately for everyone involved, Brent doesn't understand the concept of being bought a joke, like, why would someone SPEND MONEY on a joke? Since Karen's his friend and bought him a shirt, he's like. Legally obligated to wear it at least once... ? Probably?
So while he suffers over the idea of wearing it and not wanting to wear it at work he eventually would wear it and Karen would suffer the fact she needs to actually not try to joke too much in a teasing way if it's gonna be Treated Seriously. Right suffering from being gay because oh, Brent looks nice in color. (Chris would find out about it at work that he missed Brent in color and just stares at Karen because she is an absolute menace how did she manage that.)
